Reality Check

Reality Check

All day long April 27, meteorologists warned that conditions were rife for a severe weather outbreak in the South, and Alabama was expected to be ground zero. The sky was warm and moist, the sun was shining, dew points were abnormally high and Southeasterly winds coming off the Gulf of Mexico were stewing the air. Higher up was a wedge of cold air. It came from the North, creating wind shear.

The numbers meteorologists look at to predict storms, numbers that make sense only to those with an obsession over weather, were frightening to even the casual observer. Compared to the conditions that created an EF5 tornado that scoured the Alabama countryside on April 8, 1998 — a tornado that killed 32 as it cut a mile-wide swath of destruction across Alabama for more than 30 miles — Wednesday’s numbers were off the charts.

One of the State’s most seasoned meteorologists said the numbers were among the highest he’d seen in his 20-plus years of weather forecasting.

The damage actually began in the early morning hours. A line of storms with strong, straight line winds — and sometimes containing small, pop-up tornadoes — whipped across the State before daybreak. They knocked down trees and power lines. But they only foreshadowed what was to come.

Shortly after 3 p.m., a tornado dropped from the sky and began churning across North Central Alabama. It was one of the first of dozens that would churn up the landscape that afternoon and early evening. While it seemed significant enough at the time, it was far from the largest that would grind over Alabama.

As the afternoon wore on, larger tornadoes spun up and dropped from the sky. They obliterated much of Tuscaloosa — damaging the campus of the University of Alabama — and wiped the smaller towns of Pleasant Grove, Concord, Hackleburg and many small communities completely off the map… literally. Not a structure or tree remained. It was if a giant scythe had swept across the landscape. The town of Cordova and the city of Fultondale suffered major damage. Other towns and communities suffered similar fates.

The tornado that decimated Tuscaloosa stayed on the ground through Birmingham and into neighboring Georgia — grinding along for more than 70 miles — and left in its wake a scene of devastation that words cannot describe. Houses were scrubbed down to their foundations, cars and trucks disappeared and could not be found, couches and pianos were tossed across several yards, mattresses and box springs hung suspended from bare tree trunks and bodies lay in the streets and fields.

By Saturday, the death toll in Alabama was at 240 and climbing. But dozens, or even a couple hundred or more were missing, so the count was expected to go higher. Across the South, the death toll from the tornado outbreak topped 300.

The tornado that dropped out of the sky at 3 p.m. aimed its fury on the city of Cullman. The city, with a population of about 16,000, houses the offices of Personal Liberty Media Group, LLC., the parent company of Personal Liberty Digest™.

The storm severely damaged the Cullman County Courthouse, the First Baptist Church and a number of businesses as it roared through the city center. Businesses were destroyed, their brick walls knocked down by the force of the wind, their roofs blown off.

Homes that had stood for 100 years or more were damaged or destroyed. Stately oak trees older than that were pushed over.

The Personal Liberty office building was once a bank. As the storm approached, the few members of the Personal Liberty staff that remained in the building — most had left for home in anticipation of the bad weather — took shelter in a vault on the bottom floor.

They watched as across the street the wind peeled the roof off a building. They saw debris fly past the windows.

After the storm passed, they stepped outside and saw damage all around. The Personal Liberty building escaped damage, but the power was off — power poles and lines and building debris lay in a twisted mess all around them — and the nearby water treatment plant suffered heavy damage, so water was no longer flowing through the pipes.

Across the State, as soon as the storm was past, first responders, rescue workers and volunteers began caring for the injured they found and searching the rubble for other victims. But in some communities, because the destruction was so complete and so widespread, rescue workers had not yet arrived. There were still bodies in the streets more than 48 hours after the storms were over.

And most disturbing of all were reports that some looting was going on in some of those communities.

The storms and their aftermath demonstrate how quickly our civilization can collapse. Even though people were quick to donate their time, efforts, equipment and their money to assist in the cleanup and to provide for people’s needs, it’s going to take a long time for the hardest hit areas to achieve any semblance of normalcy.

Electrical workers began immediately to try to restore power to the more than 400,000 homes left dark after the storms passed. But in many cases, the electrical infrastructure was completely gone. New poles had to be planted and new lines strung. Some will be without power for more than a week even though their communities escaped damage. Getting power to hardest hit areas will take longer.

We’ve long preached preparedness in our articles on Personal Liberty Digest™. We believe you should have water and food, guns and ammunition and gold and silver stored for times such as these — or whatever circumstance life throws you way. But watching tornadoes rip through your cities and towns and seeing the devastation they can leave in their wake makes you realize that no matter how prepared you may be, there are times when it is not enough.

Man likes to think he’s in charge. But despite the advancement of man’s knowledge and technology, nothing man has devised or constructed can withstand nature’s fury. The April 27 tornadoes and the Japan earthquake and tsunami are evidence that God is in charge.

But don’t make the mistake of blaming God for the destruction. A friend of mine said, “God does not punish people with natural disasters, although I think they do serve the purpose of showing his power and making people take stock of their lives. And if our world was perfect and no one ever suffered, then no one would long to go to heaven, would they?”

So as the media reports from the storm-ravaged areas fade away, take stock of your life. Are you properly prepared for whatever nature might throw at you? Better yet, are you properly prepared for what comes after life? I pray that those 300-plus who departed this earthly realm during the storm were.

P.S. The Personal Liberty staff and their families are all safe, though some received damage to their property. Even though power is not scheduled to be restored in Cullman until later this week, we have continued bringing Personal Liberty Digest™ to you without interruption, thanks to the efforts and ingenuity of the fine staff.

    Thank you Bob,

I imagine thousands of your readers were worried as was I, your faithful wordsmith who has come to know and care about the talented and wonderful people that make PLD such an outstanding publication.

It’s good to know that the PL staff and their families are safe.

How many of the “global warming” freaks will now point to this as evidence? As a matter of reference, the severity of weather is due to the cyclical COOLING of the Pacific Ocean.

    • TIME

      Vig,

LMAO, I was speaking with just such a group of FREAK’S not more than 24 hours ago! Yes indeed just two years ago these same fruit cake’s told me that by 2011 we would have 365 days of the year where the temp’s would never go below 80* the heat would just keep on coming summers would be 120*++++ during the days on average and nights never lower than 90*+++ average.
Winters with out snow anywhere on the planet, and massive water influx that would have all beach areas under well over 25 feet of water.
This one really got me that crops would just burn up it would be so hot, bugs will be three time their size would be infecting humans with all kinds of nasty things, humans would be dropping like flys. Natural gas would just explode out of the ground from the heat.

Thats if we didn’t stop driving cars and go 100% Green ASAP.
Ok lets see when it snowed in record amounts yet they said thats part of it, when it was dry that was also part of it.
Then when these storms hit last week, he & his clan said oh yes this was all part of it too. As well we can expect that within just months that we will be cooking under the highest summer temps ever recorded. That the Alantic would produce the most storms ever recorded of what will lead to the record heat for the winter of 2011 where they also claim that even in the state of Maine winter temps will not go below 70* and that there will be zero snow fall nor even a freeze in 2011 anywhere on the planet.

I sure hope they stops dropping acid soon, I think they have had just one to many trips.

      • Jovianus

Interesting “first person’ account of that ravaging day. I called a friend living in Tennessee just north of the Georgia border and was treated to much the same story. The unknown, the suddeness, the aftermath.

Seeing the destruction, the interviews, and the follow up preparations and operations of FEMA and government at all levels…

Anyone with a political junkiie habit such as ours could not help but think back to Katrina and the comparisons. Including the CIC being on the ground seeking out those who were sifting through what used to be their home, talking in real terms with state and local officals, cutting the red tape for fed aid to be on the ground within 24 hours…(all the while knowing he was about to order the snuffing of our #1 enemy bin Laden)…

There is a leader for this Nation. Meanwhile..back in Texas…we heard whining from the good governor who has suddenly forgotten his speeches about secession and crying about not receiving federal dollars because his state agencvies were so screwed up, disorganized and underfunded the fires were continuing to burn. Let’s see, his neighboring states were just hit with a huge natural disaster…whole cities flattened, hundreds killed, massive immediate relief efforts needed…and the good governor of Texas could think of nothing to do but whine …

Folks…we have a leader in the WH. What a great feeling after the eight years of chaos, graft, payoffs, and incompetence of the GOP years 2001-08

        • JKO

I know why many on this site refer to the last part of your name now. Is it possible that Texas is suffering because they took so many from New Orleans after Katrina? And why did you not mention that the Governor (a Dem) and Mayor of NO did nothing to help matters. The Governor has to ask for help before the Feds can do anything.
And Obama gets no credit for OBL – that’s all about our awesome military. Let’s see of he gives credit where it is due as Bush did and still does. But you probably don’t know what he does now when the soldiers come home. And I know you will refer to his guilyt conscience – something ALL presidents who take us to war should have.

          • Jovianus

Ummm…just what exactly did Bush man up to ?

Your response is a stuttering signal of not having anything to say but … a lame excuse.

          • Ruby

You forgot to mention that President Bush actually called the LA Governor just before Katrina struck to make sure she understood the federal government was ready to help, if she felt they needed it. And, yes, the mayor of New Orleans was MIA before, during and after the hurricane.

But…BUT…please don’t forget it wasn’t the hurricane itself that caused so much damage to that low country. The levies broke. I understand that the force of the waters brought by Katrina broke the levies; however, it was also years of degradation from other hurricanes during the previous 3 decades. This situation pointed to the Army Corps of Engineers who disigned (or whatever the correct term is) the levies for that region; which in turn pointed to eco activism at the time…I just can’t remember the species that they were trying to protect. So the levies were not built to the original specs/design of the ACOE.

I have family in that area, and they said the hurricane was just another hurricane. Then the levies broke, and that’s what caused so much damage. My family’s fine, btw.

          • bob wire

“You forgot to mention that President Bush actually called the LA Governor just before Katrina struck to make sure she understood the federal government was ready to help, if she felt they needed it.”

and Rudy , you forget to mention Bush had enacted the state guard, sending the bulk of state resources to Afghanistan greatly disabling the Governors ability to conduct state emergency affairs.

I don’t hold 43 or anyone responsible for the weather but let us attempt to be balanced and consider all the factors and not one single event or single person.

          • DaveH

Duh, Bob, then where’s your admonishment for Jovianus’s wild claims?

          • Alex

JKO—the jokes on you! In fact, the “e” is the only part missing in your scrambled name.

President Barack Hussein Obama gets NO credit for the death of Osama bin Laden?!? NO CREDIT at all?

Let’s see—Bush promised to find bin Laden if he had to go through “every hole in Afghanistan”– when the Bush Regime failed to deliver in quick fashion HE SENT FIVE THOUSAND OF YOUR CHILDREN to their deaths in Iraq chasing someone who had NO part in 911. Wise up, JKO—5000+ dead young Americans.

Eight years of “trying” and they never got ObL but now he’s dead after two years of Obama, who, UNLIKE Bush, vowed to keep the pressure on until justice was done.

You Reich Wingers are pathetic! When will you constipated conservatives ask Bush to go to over 5000 American homes and apologize for killing their kids?

          • libertytrain

“Afghanistan was dubbed ‘Obama’s War’ last night after it was revealed that as many American soldiers have died in the conflict during his presidency as during George Bush’s entire time in office.”
            http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1303963/Obamas-War-Same-number-US-troops-die-Afghanistan-Bush-years.html
About 858 in Afghanistan at this moment in time – a figure more than double than when Mr. Bush was president.

          • Carlucci

I hate to burst any libtard’s bubble about this big fat lie about OBL that just came out of Ovomit’s headquarters last night, but check this out – Benazir Bhutto told David Frost back in 2007 that Osama Bin Laden was killed by muslim terrorist Saeed Sheikh, who was also responsible for the death of Wall Street Journalist reporter Daniel Pearl and many others.

            Here’s the video: http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/242.html

          • DaveH

            Alex,
It is you who are the joke. Obama promised during his Campaign that he would get us out of both wars. Now we are in at least 3. Liberals screamed like crazy when it was Bush keeping us in those wars, now they are strangely silent when Obama keeps us in those wars. Can you say HYPOCRITE? Make up your minds. Are the wars good or bad? I think bad, but then I said the same when it was Bush getting us involved in them. I don’t just stick up for any kind of immorality because it is my gang promoting it, like the Liberal Zealots do.

          • Kate8

Carlucci – Last night, my daughter’s boyfriend called to tell us to turn on the news, that Odumbo had killed OBL.

The first thing I said was, “It’s a lie.” We’ve been hearing for a long time that he’s already dead.

Obama is trying to prop up his sinking approval, since he’ going to need it in the coming months.

Amazing how all this, the BC, OBL…gee. He’s gettin’ things cleaned up for us!

It really goes to show how STUPID the PTB thinks we are. Thank the Lord many of us are wising up and can see through this charade. The media is nothing more than a propaganda tool, used to create whatever reality the PTB wants us to believe.

Hold on tight. It’s just beginning.

          • Jovianus

I love how folks are hanging thier hat on binLaden being dead for years…when that was begun as a rumor eight years ago by a Pakistani president and …al Jazeera. Especially since there have been multiple video speeches by OBL since then, referencing current events showing they weren’t ‘doctored” old speeches.

            Jeesh…

And that Pres. Obama went and made the call as to doing the raid. Having it kept secret for six months for planning and intel purposes, and carrying it out. Oh yeah…and the consiracy theorists calling into question tossing the carcass into the sea. Yeah..what we need is something in the ground which becomes a shrine and a focal point for recruiting into terrorism.

You guys are pathetic sometimes the way you distance yourself from anything which calls for patriotism and making this nation great

          • Eddie47d

Dave H; Nothing that Jovianus said compares to the insane comments that Time made. I think Time fell out of the Fruit Loop tree. I believe he made it all up since it wasn’t coherent or rational. You know maybe he’s the one on the acid trip.

          • DaveH

Jovianus mocks those who question the fact that Bin Laden’s body was quickly spirited out of Afghanistan (after supposedly being identified) and then buried at sea, I presume without services. This being done to a person whose religious beliefs involve very special burial procedures. They buried him at sea because they didn’t want his grave to become a shrine? Yet, they would desecrate his body, and expect more positive feelings from the worshipers?
Jovianus, how ignorant can you get?

          • Eddie47d

Kate 8; The whole event was filmed and recorded by someone(civilian) in Abbottabad,Pakistan who was awake when it happened. So the assult was real. This city in Pakistan has a military academy and 3 army regiments. Osama’s compound(mansion) was build in 2005 and that’s when he was moved in. Apparently never leaving this compound. That was engenius of Bin Laden hiding right under the nose of authorities. That is why no one suspected anything for those first 4 1/2 years in that location.Bin Laden only used select couriers and our “spies” followed these couriers. Obama and the Navy Seals were on top of this mission for awhile now and made darn sure they had our man.Muslims have to bury their dead within 24 hours so it was also wise of our military to bury him quickly and at sea.

            Oh eddieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,

Your such a bloody MONKEY TOOL its almost funny, you note I said amost.
If you had the good sense God gave a turd perhaps, just perhaps you would have a slight clue.

Go back to sleep little MONKEY.

          • Lewis Munn

We are still pointing blame fingers all over over New Orleans? And even using the blame game to blame others now for politically incorrect statements, etc?

Why don’t some of you talk about the refusal of the NOLA folks to let Ham operators help in the communications? How about reporting how the city allowed housing to be built below sea level? How about the Corps of Engineers who kept preventing the Mississippi from following the course it naturally, year after year, wanted, spending multiplied millions to force it to flow an unnatural way? How about the “nature lovers” who did NOT object to cutting away all the wetlands brush that would normally have absorbed much of the surge force?

Lots of mistakes, unpublished except in obscure places, showing a pattern of incompetence and of groups with one goal forgetting their one item was NOT the whole picture. And the political haggling for days, and even now, preventing solutions from being developed or applied?

I am afraid the innocent have been punished, most of the guilty promoted, and it is time to stop pointing fingers backwards and move ahead, correcting the problems that were amply displayed.

I think very very few of the loud speakers and the whiners can say they did anything at all even remotely constructive, at least until caught! But those who overrode offers of help, and earlier who paid no attention to nature, but took pride in wiping out the natural things that had prevented so much damage in the past, need to shut up blaming everybody else! Or still blaming those who offered real help! And were refused on PC grounds!

          • JKO

            1. Even Clinton gave credit to the troops when they performed their duty.
            2. Ruby you added some great stuff to what I said and I appreciate it. As did Bob
            3. Alex, one of those children was my son who left for boot camp one week after 9-11. He would have gone a day or two sooner but the planes were all grounded. And I am sorry to inform you that if Bush had failed to give troops the credit I would have said the same thing. AND I DID NOT AGREE WITH HIM GOING INTO IRAQ at the time he did because it was stretching our military too thin even though I can justify why he did it. BTW my son did come home safely – if you actually do care about our soldiers.
            4. Whoever brought up the levee stuff, you are absolutely correct. I have friends in LA and they said that it was the levees that created the problem. I’m not sure who decided to build below sea level, but that was not one of our best ideas.
            5. Jovianus I want to apologize for the comment I made about the last part of your name. It was wrong and uncalled for. I do try not to stoop to that level and receiving some of the same stuff back it is something that does not feel good. So I am sorry.

          • Eddie47d

Go crawl back into your hole Time. Bin Laden was more exposed than your lies and ridiculous innuendos. It long past time to take off your mask. On second thought please leave it on!

          • http://! Angel Wannabe

eddie47d, Why should we believe you whether or not THE REAL Osama’s death was video taped, aren’t you one of the Liberals on this site, who claim that videos can be tainted and re-worked?_-Or does it just apply to right wing videos?

          • Kate8

AngelW – On behalf of eddie, let me say “Touche`!”

So you go back to sleep like Monkey.

My God the OBL story has more holes than well aged SWISS CHEESE…..

          • Jovianus

So Angel…you’re stating that Bush would not have used Osama bin Laden’s death to take the heat off his back? You’re stating that tossing bin Laden to the fish instead of creating a place for a shrine is a coverup? You’re stating that the raid was all a put up job?

            Seriously?

I think you and others are making wild claims because you’re being shown as utter fools, iriots, misled empty shells.

Osama bin Laden was taken out in a daring military raid planned to the “t” and executed expertly. The birthers were shown and proven to be idiots and fanatics outside of any realm of reason, the economy is showing good signs of strength, that the GOP attacked Medicare and put forth a plan to kick our seniors out in the street (much as the TPers have claimed the Dems would do), that it’s not the Dems or progressives attacking our liberties but rather your darling GOP with the move towards ignoring voters in cities in Michigan and installation of “overseers’ ala’ dictatorships, that corporate and wealthy money is controlling the GOP, that reports are coming out showing more oil is being produced domestically than any time the [past 30 years, that more deportations have occurred the past two years than any two year period in the past four administrations, and on and on.

you guys are being made out to be fools…

That’s why i think you’re making these wild claims. heck, i doubt even you believe in what you are spouting,

          • Eddie47d

Kate and Angel; That video was only of the attack on the compound and by a private citizen who was in a nearby house. So life isn’t a bitch unless that video becomes doctored by someone. Go back to believing that the moon is made of cheese and HAARP is going to melt it and create cheese rivers here on earth. Keep your insanities to yourselves.

          • meteorlady

Jovin – There is a group in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that goes tot he airport every Friday and greets and shakes hands with incoming soldiers.

Mr. and Mrs. Bush spend a few Fridays standing in line with the rest of the greeters and greeting the troops as they come into DFW airport. No cameras, no publicity. We saw it happen and an airport employee told us.

          • denniso

So now the fringe is saying that Obama didn’t get bin Ladden after all, because he has been dead for several yrs? Wow! I wondered how the kooks would play this story because they can’t possibly give Obama any credit for anuthing, but I didn’t expect this lame approach. I wonder if all the Repub leaders who are proclaiming this a victory for the country are in on the hoax,or are they just too dumb to know what these fine Americans here know beyond a doubt?

Obama could walk on water and the kooks and haters/racists would accuse him of a hoax. This sucessful mission is a tribute to the military men who executed it and to Obama for being gutsy enough to try it.

Timing is everything isnt it…its amazing…almost Miracle like after all these years and all the Trillions of Dollars! Uncanney that the Worlds #1 terrorist wouldnt stay in the place he launched his attacks from! Who would ever of thought he would leave! Even more amazing is how he moved to a nation with MORE Radical Islam followers then Afganistan, imagine that!

B Libertarian,(off thread) but if your referring to Bin laden, even if your not, I’ll say it anyway___ sources say he’s been dead for years and on Ice…. and how convienent he’s dies, nearly as soon as the Bamster launches his re-election campaign. His poll numbers are tanking, the Birth Certificate is still an issue.. and BTW how’s about that burial at sea for bin laden. “No body no evidence”>>all we have is the Bamsters and the News Medias word__Righttttt, like thats believable__ they neadent bother with photoshop pictures of a supposed, Bin Laden corpse either!

          • kodster5

AND that OBL went to a country that denied he was within their borders, from day 1! No wonder President Mushurraf was ousted! He was a sorry excuse for an ally of the US.

          • Bitter Libertarian

Angel..My gut and sources tell me that there is a big event coming the middle of this month for the Madrid fault Line. Its going to look natural, but allegedly HAARP is involved. The Birth Certificate issue poped up to ensure that our current POTUS has enough legitimacy to order martial law (or some order like pulling Foriegn troops in to help), and Bin Laden now “dead” allows Troops to come home and be available for Martial law. Maybe I am wrong, maybe I am right…Time will tell and I hope I am wrong.

          • http://! Angel Wannabe

BL. I hope your wrong too!_I heard about Haarp involvement in some stuff too. With technologies that we have today, its not that far out of wack, to think they’re somehow involved.

Angel,,,I am so with you….So many questions which will remain unanswered..
I said about 1year 1/2 ago that when obama chips are down sudden man made miracles will happen, well, here we are.

Polls for Obama….Down and out of the blue the birth certificate appears but let’s not stop here, the enemy # 1 disappear for ever……..Coincidence ? You people tell me……..
obama played one of his ace hidden in the hole, how many more can we expect ??

          • http://! Angel Wannabe

Mick, I throughly expect to see the Bamsters polls rise for a while, I can hear all the Libs now chanting, “Obama, my Hero”…..I think not…

          • Kate8

Bitter L – I have been hearing the same thing about New Madrid, for some time now. I also heard that the military was hauling in megatons of quartz and packing it in certain areas, as quartz magnifies the impact of the vibrations HAARP will be sending out.

As for the BC, I think the whole thing with Trump was a set up. O needed a reason to suddenly come up with a (fake) BC, so Trump pushed it. Why else would he have done it, except that he had the approval of the PTB? Also, it coincided with the release of Jerome Corsi’s new book (Where’s the BC?)

So, the media now declares the issue is settled, and so it is…except in the hearts and minds of the American people, who no longer have a voice, anyway.

Has anyone else wondered why EVERYONE in the media, and all of our “representatives” in Congress, have sold us out so readily? Could it be because the other shoe is about to drop, and they are not wanting to be on OUR side when it does?

I hadn’t considered the BC in relation to O’s declaration of martial law. It makes sense.

Get ready, everyone. We are about to start a really bumpy ride. For those of you who pray, pray like you never have before.

Thank the Lord the PLD folks are okay after these storms. I fear that new ones are upon the midwest…just as they are for us here on the west coast. Like you, I hope everyone is wrong about this, but the feelin’s gettin’ stronger…

I keep hearing the words of Revelation, “At the sound of the Trump”.
We’ve always interpreted that as ‘trumpet’, but think about it… maybe a Trump has, indeed, sounded…Jus’ sayin’.

            Folks,

Look OBL was dead LONG before the ink was even dry on the new paper on 9/11/2001.
OBL has been dead since the 1990′s, look into cosmetic face mask’s made for stage and props. This is a fine science that is used daily. So all this OBL talk is just more of the “PROGRAMING” aka “Mind Control” made up to keep all of you in check.

BL; As to the Coming events of the summer of 2011, hold on to your pants all of you as you will not believe whats in store for all of us. I told you a long time ago as in early fall what to expect.

“BE PERPARED” for the worst, if it fails to happen than, I for one will be oh so happy.
But if it comes to be; at least you will have food stored away, as well things to Protect yourselfs with, as well a few extra gallons of gas stored away can’t hurt.

People the program is nearly complete, if any of you can take a few hours out of your day and PLEASE read, as well look into and UNDERSTAND the “UN Policy for the 21st Century.”
You will better understand whats coming, as well “NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND” will not only jel it will make 100% TOTAL sense then.

When your done, you may also want to look into who the Dunham’s are in relationship to the Bush family, also who the Clinton’s are within that same vein.
KNOW who’s really who then you will better understand why events take place. Oh, you want to look on the Rodham side with the Clintons follow the family tree’s, and within the leaves you will find the players.

There are NO THEORIES, there are only FACTS.

Thus Find the Facts, and they are not hard to find, then you will know the TRUTH.

“karolyn says: Bitter, Your paranoia is showing!”

You may want to use a different word to describe what I said..note I didnt say anything bad was going to happen, just that after my reading my sources my gut was telling me “something’ was up…here for your misapplication of words is the definition….of PARANOIA

1-A psychotic disorder characterized by delusions of persecution with or without grandeur, often strenuously defended with apparent logic and reason.
            2-Extreme, irrational distrust of others

Permit me to enlighten you of Something: I spent 20 years in the Military Submarine Service. One of our “Key Motto’s” was “Always have a questioning Attitude”….Sorry if what kept me safe you view as “paranoid..hopefully you see how throwing words around and knowing their real meaning can cause miscommunications and show just how Dumbed down America has become.

          • Vicki

Hmmm. Some big event in the middle of May. That would be about May 14-16 in most peoples minds. If something happens won’t that be just the most amazing co-incidence with “Where’s the Birth Certificate?” by Corsi coming out on May 17th.

            Paranoia or observation. You decide.

        • DaveH

          Where’s my barf bag.
I figured the extremist Liberals would come out of the woodwork on this one. Big Government has impoverished our nation, and now one of the extremists presents as proof of his religion (Liberalism) that Governments in the the afflicted areas aren’t able to help as much as they could if — if what? We should have more impoverishment by Big Government? Obviously, Jovianus is in the Political Class. Why else would he try so hard to inundate us with his wild political spins?
Oh, wait, I know, he must be “self-employed”. Have you noticed how many of these Liberals claim to be “self-employed”? Kind of coincidental, huh? Makes one wonder if that isn’t part of their training.
And now on top of everything else, we will have to endure their claims that Obama got Bin Laden (the “infirm” Bin Laden). The same man who promised to get us out of the wars during his campaign, but now has us in 3 (5 if we include our involvement in Pakistan and Yemen). How many Billions of dollars have we spent to get one man? Talk about inefficient. We could have saved over $500 Billion and close to 100,000 lives (all people killed in the mideast wars) by simply bombing the crap out of the area where the 911 attackers came from (including parts of Saudi Arabia) and then just get the flock out. Let them rebuild their own nations. You can bet they wouldn’t let their extremists mess with us in the future after that.

          • Kate8

DaveH – I have to agree with everything you just said.

          • Alex

When Bush could not find bin Laden HE SENT 5000+ of YOUR CHILDREN to their deaths in Iraq, against someone who had NOTHING to do with 911!

The Bush Regime had plans to invade Iraq BEFORE 911—wake up—get your lips off the Faux Noose gaspipe and get some breath.

September 11th occurred because the Bush Crime Family IGNORED intelligence–it happened on THEIR watch. Osama bin Laden is DEAD on the watch of President Barack Hussein Obama, and you cretins can’t stand that! Listen, just stop for a moment and ask yourself if events were reversed, if Obama had been in office on 911 and failed to bring bin Laden to justice, and Bush took over in 2009 and within two years had the murderer dead, you would crow at the top of your lungs!! You know it is true.

Reich Wingers bitch about the First Lady’s show of arms, the fact that she wants your stupid kids to be healthier be eating better and walking–admit it, White Estates of Amerika—you just cannot sleep at night with a Black man in the White Guy’s House! Pathetic.

          • Kate8

Alex – Ditto what Angel and DaveH said.

Also, yes, Bush did, indeed, do those things. And Odumbo has amped it all up a few notches. Just wait until you see what’s about to happen under HIS watch.

You still don’t get that they serve the same masters. So anything you say lacks credibility. You are simply one of the dumbed-down, completely clueless sheep.

          • Mike in MI

            So-o-o, tell me Alex,
according to your posts it seems you must be willing to assume that your robed-in-white leader sent out a team to assassinate a muslim leader. That’s why he gets credit for it, right? Right!
Now, If I remember events correctly…wasn’t it the democratic senators who screamed so loudly that all such actions are clearly inhuman and illegal according to the Democrat Accords for War?
That means that in liberal-think he is truly a horrid person – worthy of the same treatment they proposed for Geo. Bush.
            Be my guest!…you go first!

          • Lewis Munn

Not sure if we could not have taken a lot of innocents out in doing that. But our “finest” were unable to penetrate until Obama needed a victory.

The sudden disposal at sea is amazing, and does show how much our high people want to be sure nobody can cross check! And therefore raises the suspicion level to near certainty! One rich Muslim aiding and protecting another, seems likely!

I have heard some pretty convincing recent rumors about a Kenyan Birth Certificate with a footprint! Am I the only one who has seem that material? Or has everyone who saw and wrote of it suddenly disappeared, or come into sudden great fortune and recanted, before disappearing??

          • DaveH

            Lewis,
Most of those 100,000 were innocents (including the pawn soldiers). Do you think we would have done worse with a few surgical strikes?

          • Kate8

Lewis – For all this time, no one could find that pesky BC, but O assured us it exists! Now they’ve buried OBL at sea, but we’re assured it was him!

It only took Odumbo 3 years to produce a (fake) BC. Do you suppose people will yell loud and long enough that someone will have to come up with a photo of a dead OBL, and swear it’s him, taken just prior to being dumped into the sea?

Well, hey. Did anyone notice that the photo of Saddham Hussein taken right after his hanging showed a man with very crooked teeth? The real Hussein had nearly perfect teeth. He was known to have several doubles. The real one probably made a deal, and is now living quietly in Brazil.

The point is, this nonsense is standard procedure when they want to convince us of something.

Aside from the millions of gullible leftists around, I wonder how many sensible people can see through this.

After Iraq ran roughshod over 13 UN resolutions in a row and the UN INTELLIGENCE and the US INTELLIGENCE at the time, indicated dangerous weapons build up in Iraq. The backing for the war was UNANIMOUS in Congress And the UN !!!

While Obama committed us to Libya without consulting congress.

You can not change the facts of history. You try, but the TRUTH of what happened, has a nasty little way of coming to the surface.

J’anus – “…we have a leader in the White House.”–?–
Oh? And where has he led us? – - – We had muncipalities in dire financial straights, states in financial chaos and a federal government going around the world with OUR hand out begging for money to buy some bread. That was our situation before all this happened. Where in heaven’s name are we now? Where’s our Conman-in-Chief going to go for us to get international aid for our ravaged southland now? Why does America have to monder about where the aid wll come from????
Where are all those billions and trillions of dollars he took to give to who knows who, for what or why? All of us who have kin, good friends and countrymen who need help to rebuild, restore and keep body and sould together through all this bear in mind that it is likely to be made much more difficult because we are BROKE – thanks to Obama and all his progressiveness he’s wrought on us.
What about 400,000 homes destroyed, how many millions of lives torn and maimed, businesses sundered, insurers wracked, Obamaflation eating holes in any remaining wealth for buying building supplies, tools and furnishings?
Sure he showed his toothy face to put a smile of approval on the damage – but how long will it take for his Admin. to deliver on anything? Is his real response going to be like Deepwater Horizon? We need to remember we have a nearly complete incompetent dealing with this horror – not a tried and proven manager or even any czars with competency in anything except dictating to the proletariat.
We’ll see what kind of response the Thief-in-Chief musters up on behalf of redistributing to these largely conservative areas. Then we all need to remmber in 2012 what good comes of it when you try to run a nation on liberal debt.
Ya, Janus, there’s somebody in the WH. All bought AND paid for.

i don’t like perry but, in case you missed it on the news, TEXAS IS ON FIRE DUMBA**!!! we need some help here and finally got a bit. some came from God in the form of rain and some from federal fire fighters who came to help. they came 2 weks into the fire though. o has done darn little but lie to us. when you have to pay $10 or more for a pound of beef, get back to me on this. it’s spring, so all the babies were in those fires burned alive. not just cattle, but baby birds in their nests, mice in holes in the ground, fish in the water – everything burned. millions of acres destroyed along with people’s livelihoods, but texas is whining. it’s a good thing you aren’t here in front of me. if you were, i’d like to say i’d kick your sorry behind, but i’m old and small, so i’d sic my son on you. come on down bucko. i’m sorry for those people who lost their loved ones, their homes, everything, but they had warnings and didn’t heed them just as the folks in new orleans didn’t. someimes, you have to help yourself. and i’m already sick of hearing about how the illegal aliens are afraid to ask for help after the storms because they might get deported. i wish!!

          • Jovianus

Barb…you need some help in Texas? really? Your governor just a few months ago was saying Texas should secede. The state is in a budget mess (nice GOP governing if you ask me), Texans dis the feds evey opportunity, you’ve stripped your state emergency funds and cut back on personnel, your Congresspeople and Senators voted to strip funding to FEMA or they’d vote against fiscal responsibility…and now you are screaming for the Feds to help?

Hmmm…after all that, see anything wrong in now begging for help ?

I’d say the Feds should help out when your governor puts on some jeans and gets into the firelines using the antiquated equipment and undermanned agency workers he is responsible for creating.

          • http://www.boblivingstonletter.com/ Bob Livingston

            Dear barbm,

You write: “i’m sorry for those people who lost their loved ones, their homes, everything, but they had warnings and didn’t heed them just as the folks in new orleans didn’t. someimes, you have to help yourself.”

Obviously you have never seen the effects of an EF4 or EF5 tornado. The storms were moving at 60 mph and packing winds in excess of 200 mph. While most of them ground along for an hour or more, some of them just popped up out of supercell storms. Knowing the precise track is impossible. Besides, in an EF4 or EF5, getting into a “safe place,” as the meteorologists tell you to do, does no good unless it’s under ground. EF4s and EF5s take the bark off tree trunks and scour houses down to the ground, concrete or no. Talk to someone in South or Tornado Alley in the mid-West who has been through them before you spout this dribble. Your statement about not heeding warnings is plain ignorant.

            Best wishes,
            Bob

          • barbm

i don’t know where you get the idea our equipment is out-dated, our fire fighters under qualified, or our emergency funds depleted. when you have over a million acres on fire, there is never enough fighting power. our state is in trouble fiscally just as every other state and the federal govt is. everybody has had a hand in all this, not just texas and not just politicians. we the people let it happn by our apathy. talk of seceding was just that, talk. as i said, i don’t like perry either. the fact that texas is on fire is a national issue in that we supply a lot of the country’s meat, vegetables, and fruit. we fought the fire on our own and with the aid of other states until just a few days ago. the feds wait until it’s too late to step in and help anybody. and bob, why is it that your people managed to not lose one life? perhaps because they were prepared? or maybe it’s just that God was on your side? my point was that we had no warning. in a drought situation and with high winds blowing from every direction. there was no way to know it would happen, no way to plan for it. we knew condition were perfect for it to happen and there was a burn ban in effect, but that’s about all anybody can do. had they known it was going to happen, they’d have at least tried to get the cattle and horses out of harm’s way. if i was told a tornado is very likely to happen, i’d at least try to find a safe place. a bank vault was perfect if there was nothing under ground. hospitals usually have basements as do many govt buildings. not many tornadoes come through san antonio so, no, i’ve never been affected by one. you said they knew it was coming and that alabama was going to be ground zero, so why didn’t they go some place where they’d be at least safer than in their homes? never been through a katrina either, but i know i’d have left new orleans as soon as i heard it was coming. all my relatives who live there did.

          • libertytrain

Mr. Livingston is correct – there is, more often than not, no time to do anything other than quickly find shelter within your house, if you are lucky enough to be awake, or even home when it occurs. Few people have concrete bunkers built into their land -
I lived in an area of frequent tornadoes years ago, and the moment the sirens went off we ran as fast as possible to the basement – where we might possibly have been safer.

          • http://www.boblivingstonletter.com/ Bob Livingston

            Dear barbm,

You write: “and bob, why is it that your people managed to not lose one life? perhaps because they were prepared? or maybe it’s just that God was on your side?”

The reason is none of our people suffered a direct hit from the tornado? Why? I don’t know. Providence? Luck of the draw? God’s hand? I can’t say. But had we taken a direct hit we would have joined the 240 or so dead, 400 or so missiong and/or the 2,000 or so injured. Yes, we knew Alabama was going to suffer a severe outbreak. But there is no way of knowing where in Alabama–and if you look at a map of tornado strikes you’ll see that they hit over most of the northern 2/3rds of the state–and there are more than 4.7 million people in the state. Where do you propose we all should have gone? That would have made quite a migration north.

Again, your comments depict an ignorance of tornadoes and and most of everything outside your little circle.

            Best wishes,
            Bob

          • libertytrain

Barbm said kind of: “in a drought “TORNADO” situation and with high winds blowing from every direction. there was no way to know it would happen, no way to plan for it. we knew condition were perfect for it to happen and there was a burn ban “Tornado Warning” in effect, but that’s about all anybody can do. had they known it was going to happen, they’d have at least tried to get the cattle and horses out of harm’s way.”

So substitute tornado, and you might understand what tornadoes are like – except there woudn’t be any time to get the cattle and horses cause you wouldn’t know where the tornado was going to be – particularly in this one when just ONE cell ran from Tuscaloosa to North Carolina where it dissipated. Look at a map, see what that looks like. Look at Alabama, imagine, just imagine, where people were to have gone out of “harm’s way.”

          • meteorlady

Jovin – you are one sorry piece of crap. I have most always tried to stay respectful on this site but you are an exception. You are mean spirited and nasty.

Her post was right, people; TAXPAYING AMERICANS, lost everything and you make light and insult. Our governor asked and was told “they would get back to us”. So, is it the government’s job to take these disasters and treat them all the same, or do they pick and choose which ones they help and when? I’m just wondering. Who does the president show concern for? Us or them? What a crock…..

As for our people, I’d take all the Texans I can find over people like you any day. At least in a disaster I know that my fellow Texans will be there to help out and rebuild the community. What happens where you live?

          • meteorlady

Jovi – I’d like to to explain please the $9.7 BILLION dollar surplus rainy day fund we have? How do you think that happened. Also, the Governor did not talk seceding – a small group that has a website is promoting it. Get your facts straight before you insult the crap out of good people. I’m tired of your biased bigotry and superiority crap. This is Texas and I’m proud that I live here where people work hard and are responsible. Except Houston that is – that’s been Democratic for a long time and it’s our big expense. Also, coincidentally, the deficit project for this year is almost equal to what illegals cost us each and every year.

        • http://www.boblivingstonletter.com/ Bob Livingston

          Dear Jovianus,

You write: “Anyone with a political junkiie habit such as ours could not help but think back to Katrina and the comparisons. Including the CIC being on the ground seeking out those who were sifting through what used to be their home, talking in real terms with state and local officals, cutting the red tape for fed aid to be on the ground within 24 hours…(all the while knowing he was about to order the snuffing of our #1 enemy bin Laden)…”

I’m not sure where you’re getting your information, but it’s not government agencies providing the majority of the assistance beyond first responders providing aid and search and rescue and local law enforcement and National Guard troops keeping order. The American Red Cross, Salvation Army and local churches and volunteers are leading the way providing shelter, food and water. Volunteers, coordinated and publicized by local radio stations, have loaded about a dozen 18-wheelers with food, water, clothing, flashlights, batteries, cooking equipment, etc. and delivered them to the hardest-hit communities. FEMA has been mostly absent, save for attending a few photo ops.

          Best wishes,
          Bob

          • 45caliber

            Bob:

Sadly, as far as government aid is concerned, you are right. Photo ops is about as far as it goes with them. The real help comes from others, mostly volunteers, and many from church organizations.

          • Kate8

Bob – You are so right. Isn’t it incredible how the media neglects to report on the numbers of church and other volunteer groups who are always first on the scene with help, even while government agencies are wrangling over red tape.

It’s no surprise that those ignorant of all things Christian wouldn’t have a clue, thinking that government is the source of all assistance.

As usual, there are those who DO, and then there are those who get credit for it.

The difference is, the churches don’t do it for the credit. They do it because that is what God asks of us.

          • Jovianus

Information is from the Governor of Alabama and Mayor of Tuscaloosa giving interviews to the media and broadcast Friday evening.

          • Eddie47d

Kind of odd that 2 weeks ago about a half a dozen of you all slammed the Red Cross and said they were a worthless organization. Now when Alabama needs help these organizations are a God send. Some of you talk out of both ends so are they connected? Don’t worry there is many millions in damages and trust me Alabama will accept this money. No matter how much you all blast our government their help is needed. There is your hypocrisy Dave H.

          • JKO

Thank you for this Mr. L I appreciate the information. And you are right it is the agencies that you listed that most often help.

          • http://www.boblivingstonletter.com/ Bob Livingston

            Dear Jovianus,

The governor and mayor may be seeing FEMA, but the people in the communities sitting on the piles of rubble that were once their homes are telling a different story to the press.

            Best wishes,
            Bob

          • 45caliber

            Eddie:

Sometimes the Red Cross helps – but I still don’t really give to them. Salvation Army does a lot more good. The Red Cross has to “cover administration costs”.

          • Lewis Munn

That’s it, Bob. The truth is told. But politicians generally will not believe it.

NOLA was a lot the same way. Those who could have helped were pushed away in many cases, and government help was slow and defective, and hindered by rampant politics.

I saw very little notice given of, for example, the brave Radio Engineers who got regional radio stations back on the air to provide information, some working with almost no rest for days, and improvising where supplies had been spoiled.

I suspect radio station engineers are laboring hard now in the south to restore communications needed at all levels.

I hope the politicians are NOT doing like NOLA did in rejecting the ham radio operators who were poised to move in as a first line in communications!

          • DaveH

“about a half a dozen of you all slammed the Red Cross and said they were a worthless organization”, says Eddie. I assume, Eddie, that you can back that up with some proof?

          • Karolyn

Kate – I see coverage of church groups coming to victims’ aid all the time.

          • Kate8

karolyn – What? You’re watching CBN now?

I don’t know. Maybe it’s different where you lie, in the Bible belt. Out here in CA, churches aren’t mentioned, unless it something defamatory.

          • libertytrain

That’s right, Karolyn lives in SC, I’m in NC, — the Southern local media isn’t usually ashamed of any Church helping folks.

        • 45caliber

          Jovianus:

You can’t compare a tornado to a hurricane with any practicality. A tornado has higher wind speeds – sometimes as much as three times higher – and generally by the time you know one is around it has already hit you. With a hurricane you get days of warning.

I’ve been through both. I much prefer the hurricane, even though it has more rain, lasts longer, and covers a much wider area.

          • libertytrain

45caliber you are exactly correct. No real warning with tornadoes other than perhaps a siren and then no time to gather anything. New Orleans had days to prepare and get out; same in Florida – anyone can leave – they have ample warning. I’ve been through hurricanes; tornadoes are far worse.

          • Lewis Munn

I have only been around areas hit by tornadoes, never a hurricane, but I know a lot of damage is done by the politicians in both cases.

          • Lewis Munn

I general, I find that the truckloads of foods and rebuilding supplies sent by Christian churches is seldom mentioned. But I know in the past churches have sent truckloads, and even retired but still skilled labor, again virtually never mentioned in the secular press or by the government.

One advantage is the individuals and churches can collect a lot and get headed out to the disaster, before the government even can find the right forms to start filling out!!

Good people, especially sincere Christians, are a much under-appreciated asset, especially by the Press and then later by the Government.

The Government and the Press much prefer Christian-bashing!

        • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

We do have to give Little Barry credit for continuing the Bush policies which led to his bretheren’s killing. (Or at least they are telling us it was OBL, but w/o a body which was hurridly disposed of who knows)

          • Kate8

Old H – Being that OBL was the MOST wanted man in the world, I find it highly unlikely that they wouldn’t have kept him as proof. This is just ridiculous.

It’s just more fiction to garner points for BHO, a monumental work of fiction himself.

Just when you think things can’t get more outrageous, they do.

          • Mike in MI

            Hey,Hank and K88 -
Like they say follow the money – the funny money (American $$$ in this case). There was a big price on OBL’s head. So, follow the Obama dollars and see who goes out and buys a candy bar tomorrow over there.

      • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

        TIME:

May 92, 2011 and here I sit in the mid-west with long jeans and a sweat shirt and cap to stay comfortable. And all the windows are and have been closed since last Fall.

Back in 2000(?) Albore declared that England would NEVER see snow again. Remember las winter??

2009 – The year WITHOUT summer. We had 10 days around Fathers Day with temps on the 90s and high humidity. In July and August I would have to shed my cut-offs and tees shirts about 8:00 pm for a sweat shrit and long jeans to keep warm drinking beer in the man cave, er, garage.

        • Lewis Munn

And, funny thing, if you look at plots of atmospheric dust, and temperature rise, the more the EPA and the UN clean the dusts from the air, the faster the temperature rises!

Don’t believe me? Look back at the 50′s warnings of “Nuclear Winter” from the dust raised by a lot of nuclear bombs!

Also look to the 1800′s, for the years without summers, caused by volcanic dusts! Nature has proven it before heavy industry moved in!

So we are pitted against ourselves…EOA cleaning the air and letting more infrared in, and other agencies making life more expensive to pull the temperature down, because of alleged terrible effects. Tho in the past, the times of warm climate also were the times of the great civilization advances, in science and the arts both. Dunno what our government (and the UN) has against science and art! And comfortable climate and cheap, plentiful food. But they sure hate it!

          • denniso

You can’t really think that pouring less pollution into the air is the cause for warming temps?

  • http://donthaveone Beberoni

And then there are many, who look at these disasters, and basically attack God both ways. There are those who try to say that this is God’s wrath for the United States doing this or doing that, which is a total lie. Then there are those who say if God was a loving God he wouldnt do this to innocent people. Again, I find this a lie. While yes I do agree God is in charge and in control of all things, that I dont believe He uses things like this to kill innocent people. But what he does, He does for a good reason, and sometimes that is very unclear to us, and sometimes it never will be. But I do know, that it was through the trials and hardships in my life, that have made me a better and stronger person, and it was these trials that made me grow into the person I am now. I never learned much from my successes, but I sure learned from my failures. It is during times like this, that if we turn to God, and seek his power and resurrection in our lives, that our lives are truly rebuilt, and we are much the better for it. No one, including me, enjoys suffering through hard times like this, and it is hard to understand some writings in the Bible that say “exult in your tribulations”, and “find joy in your suffering”. It is impossible on a human level to do this, until after the fact, when we have rebuilt and rebounded from tragedy, then we celebrate and find joy. Maybe that is what is meant. But I refuse for a minute to believe that God does this to punish us. I dont believe that for a minute. But I do believe, that people should take notice, and understand the power He holds, and seek to find the one who holds all things together. We need to all understand, with men, some things are possible. With God, all things are possible. My prayers go out to these folks in the south that were hit, and hopefully I can get mobilized with a group as I was blessed in being able to do 3 times helping folks rebuild from Hurricane Katrina. And I do mean blessed, as all those people told us what a blessing we were to them, in coming down there on our own dime, and working for them for free to help, when in fact, we were the ones who were blessed, in being able to serve our fellow man in that way. After all, Jesus Christ came here the first time, just for that, to serve man. If I claim to be a Christian, should I not do the same? I think so. Again, my prayers to all of you affected by this.

    • JKO

I do like your post, but the one thing we tend to forget is that we live in a fallen world and these disasters are part of that. They will continue until the pre-fallen world is restored.
God gave free will to Adam and Eve and they messed up and we have these things. I would like to blame them for this, but I know if it had been me I would have messed up as well.
He also gives us the free will to choose Heaven (a free gift for which admission has already been paid) and Hell. He gave me a vision once about how he felt when someone was put in Hell. I cried for a couple of hours (and I am not a crier) after this. It makes Him very sad, but He gives us the choice and we have to live with that.

      • kodster5

Both of you have done very well in presenting the person of God. That’s exactly what He has done. He is showing His power and will, to put us through tribulations, to refine us, and have us turn towards Him, instead of ourselves. As Bob relays in his article, if we didn’t have troubles here on earth, as well, then none of us would want to yearn towards Heaven. I, for one, yearn to go home!

      • DaveH

There have always been, and always will be, natural disasters. They are nobodys’ (or God’s) fault. The best we can do is be as prosperous as we can be (that means getting rid of Socialism), and thus be able to provide maximum (voluntary) help in those situations.

        • Mike in MI

          DaveH -
Absolutely, let the people make provision for their own needs and the needs of those they CHOSE to bless with their personal help and blessing. When the government does it it always seems to get lost in translation and pilfered in redistribution and end up in the hands of some obamaphile to do some disordered disservice.
Why does it seem so like Communist Russia all the time? Something always going wrong somewhere and little or no way to make things right…or work in the intended manner?

          • Lewis Munn

            Mike,

Because we have a public policy of eliminating God from everything possible, and elevating ourselves to be petty Gods, our leaders do anyhow.

And we suffer when our leaders deny God and do what evil they feel like.

          • Mike in MI

Lewis- You’ve got them pegged! Sometimes people let themselves get haugty and careless, lose their humility and quit saying, “Thanks, Daddy.” everyday and open themselves up to the “wiles of the adversary”… and then PA-HA-H-HM.
Thanks for the well timed note, Lewis. But, ya’ know…there’s something I’ve ben trying to sort out lately:

        • bj

DaveH, you say that the earthquakes and fierce tornadoes are nobody’s fault. I would challenge that and sk you to review dutchsinse over at youtube, as he has predicted 15 seriously sever weather events based on HAARP echos, and 14 have materialized. So look it up, read and listen, and then feel free to shoot your mouth off if you can.

          • DaveH

Perhaps you could explain to me how somebody’s ability to predict a calamity makes it anybody’s fault?

          • Kate8

DaveH – Have you taken much of a look at HAARP? I’ve been reading about it for more than 20 years. The military really does have the ability to create and manipulate the weather.

As for earthquakes, they can’t make one happen wherever they want necessarily, but they can trigger faultlines with EMPs.

Also take note that these huge disasters happen on dates that are numerologically significant to the occult elites.

        • Lewis Munn

          You are pretty right.

But some “natural” disasters are man-made.

NOLA was set up by brush cutting, building in bad spots, lack of maintenance of flood gates, etc, and by the Corps of Engineers keeping the Mississippi turned at an unnatural angle when every year it pushes through the levees making it turn before going into the sea.

If man had left nature alone, the Mississippi would flow straight to the sea, and the brush that dampens storm surge would have been growing, and areas below sea level would be recreational lakes with no population to drown!

So far, we have learned remarkably little from the experience! Love of money, and love of power, still dominate over God-given common sense! And almost none of the weak points displayed seem to have been taken care of properly.

    • Kate8

Beberoni – Maybe another way of finding joy during Tribulation is to realize what’s really important, to bring us back to the things of the spirit, like love, family, and…God. It makes us much more appreciative of the things we DO have, the things we lose sight of when times are abundant and we are focused on material gain.

I don’t think God sends disasters to punish, per se, either. We always have warning that such things are coming, and I’ve heard numerous stories of people who’ve fervently prayed at an oncoming storm and were miraculously spared.

I do think these things are pre-ordained, though. The mechanism for destruction has been set in place via the laws of cycles, because God understands that evil will always gain too much power and control in the physical realms, and will need to be destroyed so that man can begin anew. It is the time of the harvest. The godly move forward, the evil are left to burn in their…well, evil.

And the cycles continue throughout the heavens…

Those who use tribulation as proof that a loving God does not exist, do so because they put too much significance on this momentary existence. We all die sometime…and then we will have greater perspective. For those who have no sense of an eternal spirit…well, perhaps it’s time to ponder that a bit…

      • Carlucci

I agree. Prayer is the key.

AND…everybody needs to listen up and pay attention to the ex-military who post to this blog. Bitter L. is saying the same things that friends of mine who are ex-military have said for years. Keep a watchful eye open, and always have a questioning attitude.

Last night, after this “OBL is dead” bullshit was all over the lame stream news, I passed by the t.v. and the local lame stream news was on, featuring our ex-FBI chief in my city (who is a total idiot). He said that “safety and security measures” were going to have to be “upgraded and strongly enforced because of the backlash against the US by terrorist groups”. Translation: More draconian slap downs on the American people – probably martial law.

        • Kate8

Carlucci – Gosh. Who didn’t see that coming.

          These idiots are so predictable.

I haven’t even listened to any news or commentary. I just don’t want to hear their, as you said, bullsh*t.

As for what’s coming…the PTB have only one requirement before setting off an event…that they first tell us what they are doing.

They do this in many ways. TV, movies, and straight out. They don’t care that most people won’t listen. They consider that informing us constitutes permission, from…the Universe? And I suppose that it does.

Well, they’ve BEEN telling us. Fervent prayer may be enough to hold them off, I don’t know. What I do know is that, if it does, it will only cause the mocking herd to laugh at us all the more. They will never get it, and it’s just a matter of time.

I’d rather have them laugh, though, than to endure what’s coming. Speaking of time, TIME gets it. Listen up, all.

I remember back in December watching the Weather Channel, when they discussed the possibility of higher thatn normal chances for tornadic weather this spring because of the unusually cold air coming from the Pacific. I assume you speak about a christian god since you don’t seem to believe there may be some other religion that’s “correct”… Even within the christian sect, there are sub sects. So are you speaking about S. Baptist god? the Lutheran god? the Catholic god? Episcopalian? Holy Rollers? Mormon? Jewish? … just who’s god do you refer to and what makes you think it may be correct?

      • Bitter Libertarian

The God who installed a 7 digit security code within the Torah which makes it, basically encrypted. The known combinations of items divisible by 7 is now at over 42,000 items….technically speaking it would take a person working with a super computer, 8 hrs a day for 1800 years to accomplish this task. Its a mathamatical marval, that has never been replicated with this level of precision. Nor has it ever been replicated. When I discovered this it pretty much sold me and I am a questioning serious Pain in the A$$ sceptic.

Bitter L – You are correct about the encryption in the Torah!

Isn’t it amazing? What I’ve been able to grasp of it blows my socks off. There truly is a Supreme, Divine Intelligence!

It’s too bad that so many are still caught up in the “who’s god” type of banter. They are so far off the mark as to be laughable.

One of our most serious problems is those who believe God is owned by persons or groups!

They may own gods; many people have their own personal gods, some even fully material.

But nobody owns the GOD of the Bible. He can only be worshipped or ignored, never owned by anybody.

      • DaveH

From my perspective as an Atheist, I would take their Religious beliefs anyday over your Religion of Liberalism, Jovianus.
Liberalism, the religion that advocates theft of other peoples’ money and property for the agendas of the few elitists who think they know what’s best for our lives.
Liberalism, the religion that claims priority for the personal choices of the minority (Liberals) over the personal choices of the majority.
Liberals, who stink as bad as the Salmon carcasses they transport at great expense (taxpayers’ expense) to “replenish the nutrients” in streams and creeks the salmon no longer populate.
Liberals, who want to tear down existing clean-power hydroelectric dams at the same time that they whine about “dirty” fossil fuel.
There is no pleasing these people. They want power over our lives and money, that is all. Everything else that comes out of their mouths is just lip-service to achieve that goal.

        • Jovianus

Well Dave, speaking as one who is not viewed as a Liberal in any place but this forum…I’d say you need to place your issues in perspective. The problem with your perspective…or maybe you use it for conveneience to attack the non-wacked portion of our political sturcutre…is lumping it all together.

Unless you are doing it purposefully, it’s a mistake. Take environmentalists for example. Your example of the salmon carcasses versus the dams is a good point. One group wants to take out the dams to increase salmon habitat. Yet…there’s another group that wants to increase non-fossil fuel usages. One wants fish and doesn’t care about electricial generation, the other doesn’t care as much for salmon restoration as it does non fossil fuels. You lump both in as “liberals” and use them as one group. They are not one group…and to say they “represent” liberal thought is either a mistake (if you weren’t thinking it through) or a lie..if you knew the above but were using it to deliberately mislead.

          • DaveH

Liberals (in the political sense): people who want to build Government ever larger, contrary to the original orientation of our country. That includes many (if not most) Republicans.
Conservatives (in the political sense): people who embrace the teachings of the founders of this country (Jefferson, Madison, Washington). Not many of us left.
You are a Liberal, Jovianus. Plain and simple.

          • DaveH

And, Jovianus, by your way of thinking there would be no classified groups, because no two people think exactly alike.
I don’t like anybody that forces their way on other people. I don’t like rapists. I don’t like muggers. I don’t like murderers. I don’t like thieves. And I don’t like Liberals or Progressives or whatever other moniker you thieving, controlling people want to go by.

          • DaveH

Speaking of LIES, Jovianus, perhaps you could provide some references to back up this claim of yours:
“we heard whining from the good governor who has suddenly forgotten his speeches about secession and crying about not receiving federal dollars because his state agencvies were so screwed up, disorganized and underfunded the fires were continuing to burn. Let’s see, his neighboring states were just hit with a huge natural disaster…whole cities flattened, hundreds killed, massive immediate relief efforts needed…and the good governor of Texas could think of nothing to do but whine …”
Like I said, Liberals will say or do anything to promote their agenda.

          • DaveH

Even if Jovianus’s comment about Texas was true, why shouldn’t they ask for Federal money? They are one of the minority of states who pay more in Federal taxes than they recieve in Federal spending:
            http://www.taxfoundation.org/research/show/266.html

Note the biggest recipient of Federal Spending (at the bottom). Nothing like feathering their own nests.

          • Kate8

DaveH – Ya know I love ya, and I don’t want to try to convince you of anything. But I’m curious.

If there is nothing beyond this blip of time we spend on this Earth, what’s the point of any of this? Life’s just too short to matter that much.

In the blink of an eye…we’re dead. All of us. So, why bother?

Have you really no sense that there is nothing more to you than your brain and body?

          • DaveH

The point, Kate? I would like to make the best of what short life I have. There doesn’t need to be a point to it.
We human beings are awed by the incongruities of the Universe, so it is natural to seek some sort of explanation for our existence. But if our existance needs explaining then certainly the existence of an all-knowing all-powerful being needs even more explaining, doesn’t it?
If some being was needed to create the human race, who created that being?
I know, “God always was”, “Does time have a beginning?”. Those kind of rationalizations don’t cut it with me.
The truth is that most religious people I have known should be praying that I’m right, as I’ve known very few of them that actually live up to the rules that they attribute to their God. No doubt the first words out of his mouth would be — “You’ve got a lot of explaining to do”.

            DaveH -
Nope, no ‘splainin’ to do. God was smart enough to foresee what an evil genius the Devil is and what he would be able to do from his position outside the reach of human senses and sciences – while at the same time being able to affect and effect the realm of matter/energy. God knew that man would for the most part be totally deceived by His enemy’s actions in stealing thankfulness, love and adoration intended for Him. Mostly it’s done by making life seem chaotic and pointless…whipping us with our senses and emotions.
So He inpired the most incredible piece of literature ever put together – His Word. And He set things up in a totally just and legal manner. Further He has done things to protect and insure that His Word would could be preserved through the ages to the greatest extent possible so that anyone who really desires to be RIGHT can get to know Him and what He expects of mankind.
It’s been said that the things of man can be spotted by their imperfections, illogic and inconsistencies; but things of God prove to be more perfect the closer they are rigorously scrutinized. But that beauty only becomes apparent to those who actually care to undertake the scrutiny…comparing things of His Word to things within his Word.
It takes academic honesty, a scientific rigor and a work of believing. If you undertake to do it He can and will help in amazing ways. If not, you miss a huge opportunity in this business of living.
Anyway, for those who choose to do it His way (take His Road), Jesus Christ stepped in front of the bus and took the hit for us. God said, “O.K., yes, I accept your sacrifice. I will make those who take you as their Lord…BLAMELESS.” (That’s the Word used in many places in the best manuscripts avalaible.)
There’s a difference between being “sinless” and being “blameless”. Of course, that’s just one of those things you discover if you spend some time with your head in the depths of it. That’s why believers will never have any ‘splainin’ to do. Knowing we’d never be able to penetrate the Devil’s deceit and double-think He set up a road out of the dismal swamp. It doesn’t matter where, how or when in life you come accross it – just that you take it.

          • Kate8

DaveH – Now, don’t go getting your tailfeathers in a knot. I didn’t mean any offense.

It’s happenning right here in good old liberal-land without anybody hearing about it – mobs, riots, islamic-love-speech like flying shoes and rocks and muslim love talk like, “Death to Jew-Christian monkey spawn.”

As far as I can tell, there is one God, period. There are some lessor gods. It doesn’t matter what people call Him as long as they worship Him. It doesn’t matter what religion they follow either – as long as they remember the worship is about Him and not the religion. The problem is that too many people get caught up in the rituals of their respective religions (including yours and mine) to remember God.

      • Lewis Munn

        You have a problem, Jovianus.

There is one Christian God, and many non-Christian gods. The truely Christian churches worship one God, but with different forms of worship. And there are many “churches” who worship other gods, as the Bible warns, if you would have read it. Some have the forms, but deny the power.

Read the Bible, carefully, prayerfully, and accurately, and several translations also, and test the churches against what the Bible clearly says is Christian. I believe it is C. S. Lewis who wrote a book, “Mere Christianity, which can hewp also.

Then you will be able to rightly divide the religions, those who are Christian and follow Christ’s teachings accurately, and those who pretend and inevitably fall far far short.

        • bob wire

God is Sovereign and is still responsible for every atom in the universe. He is losing his great patience with this country and is beginning to show His wrath by allowing these tornadoes to move through more populated areas. I don’t know the answers to the tough questions but I do know that God is good, merciful, just, patient and is not willing for any to perish but for all to come to Him for salvation. It is mysterious to say the least by God has shown enough of Himself for us to know that He is real and to believe what He says. He says to honor His Son Jesus Christ and to come to Him for the forgiveness of your sins. Ask Him to come into your heart, tell Him you are sorry for your sins and rest in the atonement of the cross for the redemption of your sins. He is powerful to forgive you of all of your sins if you are willing to receive Him into your heart. A time is coming very soon when that opportunity will be past and you will have made your choice. Now is the day of salvation. Ask Him into your heart now. Do it today, do it now.

    • rufus

Maybe, we should cut taxes and buy more guns that would prevent this from happening again. Makes as much sense as what being posted. Hope those who went through this get the help they need. I don’t care what their politics or religion is

      • kodster5

Rufus, the guns may well be needed, to get through this. As Bob says, some communities are already being looted, just like in Katrina. Imagine you’re in your home, working to clean up the damage, and someone walks up to you, demanding your food, your personal belongings, and assaults you to take them? How are you going to defend yourself and your family? Those that are desperate will do anything to get what they want, without regard to your feelings.

And cutting taxes? Not a bad idea… would teach us to become more self-reliant on ourselves, and our neighbors, to create a community again. We’ve become way TOO reliant on the federal through local governments to take care of us. This country was formed on self-reliance and community (neighbors/family), not the government giving handouts to people to build their homes, etc. It’s time to return to our roots of the Founding Fathers.

        • Bitter Libertarian

Neighbors work together in matters like this for SECURITY AS WELL. My neighbors & I have a rough plan…security-shelter-food-rebuilding. So yes GUNS will be useful..as I guard my area of responsibility I am guarding my neighbors back while he pulls himself & family together. Then Vise-versa takes place…not difficult to work out.

          • Kate8

Bitter L – You know that, as soon as martial law is declared, guns are confiscated.

Getting guns is foremost on the priority list for these jokers. They plan to do it one way or another, and a declaration of martial law may just figure in to this prominently.

            This could get ugly.

          • Bitter Libertarian

It will get ugly as I will not recognize their right to take my right to self defence, nor my soverignty, NOR their decision to suspend the Constitution. Guess theres gonna be a little “lead scuffel” :)

Amen brother!! Let everything that has breath give praise to the Lord!
These ARE the beginnings of sorrows that were predicted by Him to us so very long ago. He, in his infinite mercy and love for us, is pouring out his Spirit to try and “wake” us up to the truth. We see it in these terrible disasters. We see it not only in the growing lawlessness of the world in general, but especially in the way OUR country is falling to pieces! And finally, we see it in the fact that people are going off the deep end more and more. They may not mentally comprehend His presence but their soul and spirit do. IMHO we don’t have much time left. Fact is…I think we are on BORROWED time. Even so, Come Quickly Lord Jesus!!

  • Jessica

You can’t stop Mother Nature. That’s the way it is. You can recycle, save or use alternitive fule, etc., but these storms will always be there.

    • kodster5

And that’s the whole purpose of the article, Jessica. To be prepared, to have these alternatives available, just in case of disaster, instead of having absolutely nothing when it hits, for the aftermath. For example, solar cookers to cook your meals on, because there’s no electricity available now… stored water supplies, because now there’s no running water (and you need electricity to run the pumps to pump the water through the pipes!)… food stores. Disaster can hit in sooooo many ways, not just storms such as these.

    • Lewis Munn

And when we all are “off the web” and on our own, when disasters happen will be nobody out fixing! Better learn how to repair your systems, and stock spares!

In a safe place, and also be prepared to defend them!

Bob L at Personal Liberty, Glad PL was spared of the tornados, been seeing the destruction on TV and it’s horrible & unfathomable for those people.__

We had Tornado a about 15 years ago in Pa not far from us, which is rare. It picked one community in Limerick Pa, and just tore it apart, a family of three a Mother, Father and an infant, were killed instantly, when they were literally sucked out of the house, afterward the only thing that remained was the chimmney & the cement floor of the basement.Wooden Two by-fours were driven into the ground like toothpicks, I’ve never seen anything like it. Our Prayers for the loss & the survivors a s they rebuild they’re lives.

You just don’t ever know. Things happen in an instant, and everything changes.

HAARP is able to magnify mother nature, making the impact so much greater than it would otherwise be. Just look at the magnitude of the earthquakes we have nowdays. And they can steer storms into areas where they want maximum effect.

            God help us.

      • 45caliber

This is very typical of a tornado track on the ground. Sheer destruction where they pass.

        • libertytrain

I believe this particular tornado had more than one tail to it, and that is why it didn’t destroy some of the buildings, not the swerving of the tornado but that it split in two, three and into four tails, according to what I watched on this particular tornado via video’s of the actual tornadoes and eye-witness accounts of it splitting before it hit or did not hit certain buildings. It was very fortunate for PL that it split at that point for their building.

Hmm! I know one thing, ~ we need to build houses better. This huge and sudden updraft needs to be addressed.

Once the roof comes off any construction is greatly weakened. I’m pondering “adjustments” with my eves, overhangs and porches.

If nothing else construct a “weak point” so they might tear way and leave the basic structure intact.

This shouldn’t be too difficult to address in the 21 century and all that is available to us.

    • Bitter Libertarian

      Concrete.

    • DaveH

There are give and takes to every step taken for preparedness. Sure, we maybe could indemnify ourselves against every possible misfortune, but the costs would far exceed the risks. That’s why each individual (how it used to be) should make his/her own choices about how much money they spend to prepare for future catastrophes.
It’s so easy for Progressives to spend other peoples’ money for their own personal preferences.

      bob wire:

The real problem is the sheer force of the winds. Trees are sometimes twisted completely in two or split into hundreds of pieces. Houses are generally sealed as well as possible to keep out drafts. Speaking as an engineer, it is possible to build houses that can withstand hurricane and tornado winds – BUT …

To do it requires far more materials and a great deal more strength than is normally possible. A 1,200 square foot house could cost over a million dollars to make it tornado proof. One of the reasons is the different pressures within a structure vs. the outside pressure. It isn’t unusual to see the pressure due to wind speeds drop outside a building by as much as a pound. A couple of ounces different in pressure is enough to cause a house to explode or implode. So people live with the lessor ability to resist tornadoes so they can afford to build a house that is usable for the price since it is more likely to never see a tornado anyway. Then you have wind insurance to cover the place if a tornado does hit.

      • bob wire

Leave it to Dave or Jeff to cast a political bias to any problem and find fault with any hint of progressive thought ! Darn you Dave!

I’ve spent sometime in Port towns, weather a 36 hour glancing blow down in Port Isabel once. ~ The High voltage lines start really sings at 120 mph and the sound just gets more angry with every 5 mph increase in wind speed. I don’t believe the towns people lost so much as a garbage can lid during the whole event. They were prepared and built for it. We hunkered down in this small house that had a flat roof and recessed window and what appears to be make of plaster and could hardly hear the wind blow. ~ I don’t know what that plaster concealed but it must have been substantial material.

The little house backyard was 10 ft from in ICW (inter-coastal waterway) that huge vessels could navigate up to Port Brownsville by. We had a nice pier and could dock three 75 ft to 100 ft shrimp boats.

We were most concerned about the storm surge the anything else and if it came how to keep the children and women with us safe.

And “45″ you are so right of course ! The pressure differential has a lot to do with the destructive force of a tornado. That thing was a real monster! bigger still, then what hit Wichita Falls several years ago and it was recorded at 1 mile across.

Being a engineer 45, could we not create something to act as a damper in such an extreme condition to naturalize these pressures? Or a rupture barrier? A weak spot in the air barrier between inside and outside?

And of course, any consideration would be at an owners/ builders cost and discretion in some attempt to take the politics out of my quandary.

What I see happening today is a serious weather pattern shift and I truly believe it’s to get only more extreme with time. It’s not my intentions to frighten anyone but I do believe in adjusting with changing conditions and voicing my personal concerns.

        • 45caliber

You can build for pressure drops due to hurricane winds but the pressure drop from tornados is far worse. A pressure drop in a hurricane is basically gradual, though it might not seem like it. The one in a tornado is almost instantious when the wind hits. Further, it is generally a LOT stronger. The weather bureau has new classifications for tornados including names for the classifications – and if you get a chance, read them. They are funny – but true.

I’m not saying it is impossible to build to ignore a tornado – but it is very expensive. Keep in mind that I’ve seen a concrete storm shelter, buried under three foot of dirt, popped out of the ground and rolled and tumbled more than three hundred yards by a tornado – while the house about fifty feet away didn’t have any damage at all.

It is the economic costs that really prevent it. Just the same as for storm surge dikes. The government usually only builds them to resist force 3 hurricanes because the cost increment to build to force 4 hurricanes resistance is about twice what the whole force 3 dikes cost.

        • http://?? Joe H.

          bob wire,
those flat roofs aren’t worth a crap up here in the snow belt!!! Set 18 inches of wet snow on that flat roof and see what happens!!! Add that to the fact that we do get tornadoes in the snow belt and disaster hits HARD!!

  • Henry Ledbetter

MOTHER NATURE OR THE WRATH OF GOD??? God is speaking and had this to say in 2 Chronicles 7:13, “If I shut up heaven that there be no rain or if I send the locusts to devour the land or if I send pestilence among my people…” If we become a wicked nation or world, He loves us enough to try and get our attention by allowing or sending wrath our way. It may be through drought we now see in parts of Texas or the Locust that are probably eating the crops somewhere in the world right now. If those do not get our attention, it could be a pestilence such as an earthquake that may produce a tsunami that may lead to nuclear meltdowns. If we are still hard-hearted and hard-headed, He may send a hurricane, a flood or tornadoes to awaken us from the stupor of the addiction called SIN. When sin is tolerated to the point of conception; it produces death. Since it rains on the just and unjust, many that were just have been taken up to be with Jesus here in Alabama this week. Yet as I listen to the testimonies of many who survived the storms, Our Lord is being glorified as the death of many loved ones has been swallowed up in victory. Our six year-old granddaughter may have said it best as they had left their home to be in a safer home with a basement. She exclaimed to all as she asked her mother, “If we are sucked up in the storm, will we get to be with Jesus?” Her mother answered yes. She has been taught to trust in Jesus and because of her faith in Him, even the possibility of death has no hold upon her. As I sit here in North Alabama having experienced the storms that brought death all around us, there is a peace with God and a peace of God that is greater than all understanding.
    In Christ, Henry

Why do Progressives keep beating this dead horse (Global Warming)? Because, they have stepped in the cow-pie majorly on this one. More than any other issue, the issue of Global Warming has exposed the ruling elite and Progressives for what they really are — a bunch of conniving, lying, thieving, controlling creeps.
All they have left is to keep repeating the same old lies over and over and over in the hopes that enough ignorant people will finally start believing them (propaganda).
They simply want complete control of our lives, turning us into serfs in the process. It’s time for all ignorant people to wake up and smell the coffee before it’s too late to turn them back.

Global warming is cyclical, and science, real science, understands this. So is global cooling! It started basically when the north pole moved to its present location, in a small landlocked ocean. Science had he basic mechanics worked out in the ’50′s, well enough to be reported in Scientific American before they went Politically correct.

There are things we can change, like looking at submerged housing in shallow seas, but the problems are not scientific or technical, but the great political push to get control of everybody in the world under the UN thumb. Political, not technical. And the politics is only making the problems worse and more expensive. As well as leading us into an Orwellian world of massive controls and minimum freedom and goods at the general consumer level.

Parasites and cockroaches all have one thing in common – they want to take and eat something someone else has worked to create. And if they eat the creator too, that’s still fine with them.

          • DaveH

Liberals really are parasites by definition. They get nutrients from their host and they do damage to their host.
But I try to avoid the personal attacks unless somebody like Eddie47duh starts them.

Any chemists out there able to synthesize a spray against these parasites?

    • Jovianus

OK Dave…and we can return to the tax rates of the 50′s and you won’t complain, whine, or scream?

      Deal …

      • DaveH

If I answer that would you stop whining and complaining?

I didn’t say that would make me happy. It would certainly be better than what we have now, but If I had my way, we would wind the clock past Lincoln’s presidency. That is before the Federal Government started stepping all over the States and their citizens. Before people like you, Jovianus, started positioning themselves to force their way on the rest of us.

          Right on, DaveH.

I want to think that it’s humor while it ceased being very funny long ago, leaving me to consider that it’s both, as you attempt to label people by some twisted “in club’ virtue and assign them a box that only you understand.

I do understand obsession, I do understand that the path is wide and the way is narrow ~ but what is it that validates your path to where it supersede all others with such strong conviction? For it surly couldn’t be the current GOP’s track record! So what is it, other then just “like minds” gathering at a VFW Hall and a belly full of mind altering booze that makes you so certain of yourselves to where scoffing and assigning labels is considered great sport?

          • bob wire

nO , I have concerns for your sanity and don’t believe you truly understand what you and your friends are doing with your out of control tongues. As Christ noted , the tongue is a very unruly member.

You are creating an environment that is not conducive to a quality life as you taunt the Tiger like children at play. You laugh and scoff today as you load the weapon, I hope you and your friends might laugh tomorrow in your folly.

I hope I don’t live to see it as I have already engaged in the disassemble of men for their convictions, behavior, just being caught in the wrong place or making a questionable gesture. You and your racket jaw friend are being most foolish and only getting more foolish by the day as you become aware that your political movement is starting to unravel like a cheap suit and you are losing political ground at a rapid rate.

Say what you mean and mean what you say, or be silent. The final decision is yours.

Being referred to as abstruse by such a crowd is a compliment of the highest order and I would expect no less from such a disenfranchised, disenchanted, misinformed, mislead, misaligned group of people, while I might want much the same things as you.

There no room on a pitching deck for a 1200 pound loose canon. You will be contained by the GOP if not by the DNC at some point before too much damage can be done. You might scare some cowardly GOP members, but your money will dry up soon enough and the DNC just loves you for now.

I’ll speak no more of your canker, foolish rhetoric.

        • bj

Maybe Andrew Jackson’s day. Let American print her own money, kill the fed. No need to borrow from a bank that then takes our own money to pay it back. Simply print the money, for the necessary projects, and then its done. Also, no more corp[orations like people. Back to the original process, no corporations unless they serve a public good, and even then a rigid short time limit. Maybe if all this chaos gets fierce enough, we can carve out a New America, with a constitution!

      • DaveH

And I’m assuming by “tax rates” you mean the rate of Government expenditure to GDP, which is the only real comparison, since it comes out of our hides either by taxes or by hidden taxes (inflation).
If you meant the top marginal rates, you are completely mixing apples and oranges (as I would expect from any Liberal) since due to inflation far more people now would hit the top marginal rates than did in the 1950s.

      • Eddie47d

Yes Jovianus Dave would love the 1950′s tax rate, but wait! He’s to busy name calling with the other intelligent ones. You’ll have to remind him later. He’s become a real dick or is that dicktator?

That is the same mind set that talks about cutting the military down to a meals on wheels program, good thing the marxist/communist muslim has followed Bush/Cheny’s plan to hunt the pedophile perv muslim down. Any one that thinks this jug eared crossbred bastard could come with an orginal idea or thought to do something that would work.Proof of his stupidity is the job market, value ofthe dollar and high gas prices, all could be solved with just letting USA use its natural rescources right here in the USA

    • Kate8

i41 – You can take comfort, perhaps, in that those same dumbocrats are about to get this all rammed right down their collective throats.

If they think they’ll fare better than the rest of us, they’d best think again. They’ll be the ones out trying to loot and plunder those who’ve been preparing while they laughed.

Let them see how much their government cares about them.

      • 45caliber

Most of these eletists have government prepared shelters for protection in the times they want us to endure. Many are large enough for small armies. What they want is for most of us to die from starvation, disease, rioting, etc. so when they come out after a year or so, they will have the largest armed forces around so they can conquere all the survivors. Some are rich enough to build their own shelters. All are hidden as well as possible because they don’t want to chance showing up and finding someone else is already there and the doors are locked.

        • Kate8

45 – I wasn’t referring to the elites. I was thinking of the dumbed-down masses.

The elites have their food and safety ready to go, and in their usual opulent style.

          • 45caliber

Sorry, I misunderstood. And what really boils me about most of those elites is that our tax money went to prepare those shelters for them.

          • Kate8

45 – The same tax money that has made them ALL millionaires, many times over. The same money used in genocide everywhere.

They are all thieves. And murderers.

    • Lewis Munn

They can ruin America until there are no more Conservatives left, then it will catch up to them and they will start the Final Feeding Frenzy, on themselves.

  • Kinetic1

This is one of those days where I just can’t stand most of the folks on this site. Bob writes to us about the harrowing hours of the storm and the lessons to be taken from it and all you “fine, God fearing folks” can do is start an argument about the “lies” surrounding Global Climate Change and the President’s ability to lead. OK, maybe Jovianus opened the flood gates a crack when he praised the Administration and the President for showing some leadership following the storms, but was that really cause to turn this into a non stop diatribe about whether or not the President deserves any credit for killing Bin Laden? I’ll have something to say about that when there is a more appropriate place to post, but for now let’s just be thankful for the efforts of rescue workers and volunteers who are helping the victims regain some level of normalcy, say a prayer for those who have lost their homes, their loved ones or their lives and be thankful that Bob and his coworkers came through alright.

    • Kate8

Kinetic – Point taken and duly noted.

Having said that, there are only so many ways to express those sentiments, which many of us, indeed, did.

So if these postings are offensive to you, might I suggest you simply go elsewhere? It really IS that easy.

      • Kinetic1

Thanks for the thought Kate8, but someone needs to stick around and expose the “facts” you folks some times step in as the BS that it is. I just needed to point out that sometimes it’s about the problems of a few of our neighbors and not just our own political views.

        • http://?? Joe H.

          kinetic,
Please explain to me how in the hell the president(?) killed Osama?? IF and I mean IF the story they are telling is true, the only thing he did was give the go ahead! YOU and the others make it sound like he was there and pulled the trigger!! In actual combat, with bullets flying, he would have cowered in a corner and pi$$ed himself!!! If the story is true, Thank GOD for our SEAL TEAMS!!!

          • Kinetic1

            JoeH,
I’m not ignoring your question (though by all rights I should), but as I said before this is not the posting for this argument. To you and all others, this is the last I will say about these other topics until the appropriate time.

    • libertytrain

Kinetic on this I agree with you. The magnitude of what occurred particularly in Alabama as well as Tennessee and Mississippi is unfathomable; and most of us outside this tragedy are still going about our business as if nothing occurred – really we have no comprehension – if it didn’t touch our world – kind of sad really.

      • Lewis Munn

Funny nobody has checked on how many Christian Churches are sending help to the stricken areas. Even small churches. And how many Christian craftsmen drive to the areas and offer their services, free. you just do not see this in the mass media!

        • DaveH

Oh sure, Kinetic, like the restraint you show when you are helping yourselves to other peoples’ money. You have no idea what struggles any one individual might be going through, but that doesn’t deter your greed.

That’s what DaveH does repeatedly, and it’s a shame because I don’t think he’s dumb. He thinks he knows someone based upon their comment and then proceeds to attack them based on his assumptions that are nothing but broad generalizations. DaveH says he has 2 degrees, and I take him at his word, but he doesn’t sound like it’s true…he has let his ideology blind him to reason and now sounds like a typical extremist who thinks there is only black and white,no shades of complexity w/ the big issues. I’ve met many like him, people who can’t handle the complications of our problems so they fall into a simplistic mindset that is easier for them.

Look at Joe’s comment above for some perspective. The rightwing usually broadbrushes everyone they don’t like. Being a liberal means not doing that, but rather listening to rational discussion. If people can’t do that they are hopeless.

    • meteorlady

What about Global Warming? Lets see I have a few comments about that since you brought it up?

I used to live in Washington State, the Evergreen State. Now it’s called the clear cut state because they are logging everything in site. Since they started that about 15 years ago the temperatures have been going up in regions around the national forests and other place where strip logging is occurring. The rain forest that used to be in the western portion of the state along the coastline is almost all logged off and there is very little old growth timber left.

I also know that one single volcanic eruption sets back ALL of what we saved in the last 20/30 years. This planet is evolving and has been for billions of years. It has cycles it goes through and we can do nothing about that.

See the problem I have here is that Al Gore and a number of global warming advocates are HEAVILY invested in trading floors for carbon credits in Europe and have now set up one in Chicago. Meanwhile Europe in general has found that trading credits is bad for the cost of energy and still allows the polluter to pollute if they have enough money.

The Chicago Climate Exchange is set to make about 8 BILLION per year for old Al and his friends like the Clintons, on their investment. There is also the fact that Goldman Sachs, the killer of our economy, runs the trading floor and stands to make billion there. Then there is little Shore Bank (small bank that gave minorities loans), a bank that was deemed small enough to fail, but was bailed out at the last minute. They are holding and dispersing the money from the trading floor and will also make billions.

While I believe that our world is changing and that storms are becoming more and more violent, I also have some common sense that says this is not all man made and some people are going to make a lot of money if we start the carbon trading gig here in the US.

      • 45caliber

Officially, we are all supposed to have carbon credits we can sell or keep. But Barney Fwanks “patented” the idea that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac owns all the carbon credits on the mortgages they hold. If the courts unhold this (and so far no one has asked) he stands to make billions on his own as royalties on his “patent” when they sell the credits that offically should belong to whomever is buying the lands.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        meteorlady,
I can only hope that his investment crashes to sub level so that he is down to our level without a hope of ever regaining ground for what he has foisted on the American people!!! Al Bore is one man I am purely sick of!!!

    • Lewis Munn

      Good point.

Tho part of getting off track is the issue of should the Federals do the whole job for cleanup and rehab to their current standards on our money? And looking at the past governmental blunders, and the few successes, for some idea of what works, and warnings about what does not.

The other politics comes it seems from those who wish more concentration of power in the elite group.

But maybe there has been too much comparison of how the Federals handle emergencies at home from weather, etc, with what they do when it is political and/or overseas.

Forgiver us our trespasses, as you forgive bygone politicians for theirs! Or something like that!

      Old Henry,
A little off subject, but remember the talk the other day about union labor being so good?? Well I saw a good example of it yesterday. We have a whole streach of RT2 here that was poured concrete 14 to16 inches thick, just poured last year. It already has cracks 3/4″ to 1 1/2″ wide in it. Must be at least eight or ten of them going diagonally across the 4 lane width!! Good Union Work!!!!

I will say this first, I’d rather endure the earthquakes in California over the hurricanes and tornadoes. I thank Bob L for providing a firsthand account of these tragedies and for continuing to warn us all to be prepared for the worst case scenarios, natural or man made.

American exceptionalism and human charity will be the answer to assist those effected by the devastaion that occured. The government leadership will use this for pure political gain and nothing less.

    • Kate8

JeffH – They won’t let any crisis go to waste. We can count on it.

BTW, have you taken a look at the US Navy map for 2012? Once they zap the faultline in CA, and the west coast falls off, what do you suppose is going to become of the Valley, which is near sea level?

      Please take heed, my friend.

I don’t know what will become of where I live. My kids won’t listen to me, and I’m too tired to make other plans.

What will be will be. I just hope it’s quick.

      • libertytrain

Hopefully nothing will occur -however, I understand where you are coming from —

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

Kate8, we live right near a Nuke Plant, 3 nukes plants in Pa are considered risks. One of the plants are on the Ramapo Fault line, which also includes NJ, NY and PA. It is what it is, I’m not wasting my time worrying about it. There Emergency evac in place, the family knows where to meet up. I’m lettin it up to God, he’s the only one to protect us or/and stop it.

      • 45caliber

        Kate8:

I wouldn’t worry too much about sliding into the ocean. The main continental plate is moving west; the coastal one is moving north. Therefore they have a tendency to slide into each other. That’s what supposedly is creating the Sierra mountains there.

IF the land ruptures north of the Gulf of California, interior California may suddenly have the Gulf move north through Death Valley. But only God knows if that will happen. And I seriously doubt if it will happen in our lifetimes.

        • Kate8

Come on, you guys. I know that there’s no point in worrying over certain things. On the other hand, we’re being TOLD this will happen. Just as we were told Katrina would happen, Japan would happen, the tornadoes would happen…

At what point to we listen and act? These things are spoke of in scriptures, too, and we are told to listen. The elites ALWAYS tell us first, and they are telling us that New Madrid and the west coast are imminent.

One minister put it this way (for those in target areas): “We used to say, ‘Don’t leave unless God tells you’. Now we say, ‘Don’t STAY unless God tells you’”.

What earthly good is warning if we don’t pay attention? How often do people say, “If only I’d listened”.

Yet, people remain, even when a tornado or hurricane is barreling right for them.

          The normalcy bias. Go figure.

45, I appreciate your skepticism, but I think the next two years are going to be rough. It’s already begun.

          • DaveH

Kate, come on, think about this. Even if they could cause an earthquake, why would they pick on the Socialist State of California? Do you really think they’d eat their own? Well, let me rephrase that. Do you really think they’d eat their own at this point in time when they haven’t yet completed the takeover?

          • libertytrain

Kate8 – Hurricanes and tornadoes are two very very different animals. One is easy to leave, the other you don’t know which direction to go in IF you are fortunate enough to get a warning, and by the time you do get the warning of the sirens, it’s way too late to leave. Nobody in Fayetteville, or Sanford, or Raleigh was even expecting to ever see a tornado a few weeks back, not very common in those parts. And Alabama – those were monster storms. Nowhere to run.

          • Kate8

DaveH – In the first place, the elites don’t care what side of the political spectrum we fall on. The socialist lefties are just useful idiots. They will have the same fate as everyone else.

Secondly, CA is prime real estate. Perfect weather, beautiful nature.

But, don’t believe me. Do your own research. Just because it sounds like science fiction to you, doesn’t mean it is. Once you understand, as least as much as we can, the technology behind HAARP, it’s not so far fetched.

BTW, prior to the quakes in New Zealand and Japan, millions of dead fish washed ashore (a result of sonic impact). The military has been conducting bio- and sonic-warfare experiments in the Pacific for 2 or 3 years now…and recently, MILLIONS OF DEAD FISH have been washing ashore in So.Cal. (It was announced in advance the intention to “sacrifice” millions of marine animals in conducting these ‘experiments’.)

Make fun of me if you want. I’d rather be wrong than right, but the information is there for all to see, if you but look.

These are strange times. I understand that you don’t put stock in anything of a non-physical nature. But the fact that you don’t believe in it has no bearing on whether it’s real or not.

          • Kate8

DaveH – Military experimentation in Pacific Northwest:

            http://www.californiaskywatch.com/documents/htmldocs/pp_usn_dod_eis.htm

          • Kate8

I understand about hurricanes and tornadoes. My point was the normalcy bias. People will just never believe anything bad will happen.

“As it was in the days of Noah”. People will receive warning, but they will not listen.

Hey, I get it. I’m not moving, either. It’s just not that easy nowdays. But as this article shows, disaster can strike in a moment. Most will be caught completely off-guard.

          • DaveH

Exactly what does that prove, Kate? Other than the fact that Government is out of control? I’ve known that for the 40 years of my adult life.
Judge Napolitano asks in his intro everyday “Does the government work for us or do we work for the government?”. I think the correct answer is that we work for the government. And it has become so because the average everyday American kept their noses to the grindstone and apathetically ignored Big Government growth in the vain hope that it wouldn’t become a problem.
Are you a registered Libertarian now, Kate, or are you just going to continue the trend of Hoping and Dreaming that the Republicans are going to do the job?

      • JeffH

Kate8, sorry, but I don’t hold much credence in the idea of California dropping into the ocean nor do I have much concern of such an event ever happening. I just refuse to even “worry” myself over something like that. Besides, I live about 30 minutes from the mountains to the easy anyway.

        • JeffH

Kate8, don’t misunderstand me, I do pay attention and don’t mean to diminish your thoughts and I do understand your concerns even though they are not mine.

Maybe 43, should have considered it as well.

Is there not an overriding human need? If not, what makes you believe it to be so?

What is it that constitutes “political gains” ~and is it a bad thing? So you don’t believe political hay should be make under cloudy skies? or that it’s just a bad time?

I was noticing a few weeks ago the Honorable Governor Scott Walker was taking credit for 145 new private sector jobs, with his chest all pooched out and photo opt. Jobs that have been in the works by the prior administrating that just came to reality. Do you feel that~ that was an okay thing to do and tastefully done?

You really never tire of blaming 43 do you? He’s gone and you need to get on with your life. The fact is that the government can’t run anything well or even fairly good. Medicare, Medicaid, VA, AmTrack, post office, all the failed government agencies and projects just boggle the mind.

So, why would human need be an issue when the statement was not to waste a crisis?

There is not one single shred of doubt that in my community if there was a disaster, the MAJORITY or people would be prepared to help out and get the community back on it’s feet. I’d also say that about 50% of us are self-sufficient. We grow food, raise cattle, work for charities and save resources for disasters.

        • denniso

The gov’t can’t run anything well? What do you think the military is?
A private company? Do you think the gov’t runs it well?

You say 1/2 of your neighbors are sel sufficient? That’s a joke! Who makes your cars, trucks, tractors? Where does the internet, telephone, electricity, heat come from? You generate and create them? Who built the roads you drive on to work, you self sufficient people? How about your drinking water, did you build the treatment plant? I suppose you all got together and constructed from scratch your sewage treatment plant? Do you get together and police the streets, and you all must be in the volunteer fire dept, right?
I also imagine that you haul all of your garbage away on your own,and there are no foods you buy in the grocery store like fresh fruits,canned/frozen corn, bread, juice…

Yeah right,50% of you are self sufficient…maybe for a Sunday picnic.

          • denniso

I forgot, the big bad federal gov’t is committed to helping the southern states recover from the tornados. Maybe we shouldn’t help w/our tax money, especially the ones who hate the gov’t.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            hey denniso,
Ever heard of a well??? Ever heard of a septic system??? I know areas where the gravel roads are taken care of by the farmers in the area!

          • denniso

Sure some people have wells and septic systems, most do not. And I wonder how much of the electricity needed to pump water is generated by solar panels or wind turbines? Not much. I imagine farmers are clearing all the roads of snow when needed also. Sure…

          • bob wire

“Ever heard of a septic system??”

sure, you ever hear of poisoning your water well?

If everyone did as they darn well pleased you’d be drinking your neighbors waste.

It’s not the 1850′s anymore where people can have 2000 acres to do as they please.

Do you folks live out Utah or Montana way? I’m sure that would be acceptable in many places there. We ‘ve got places in Texas that is much the same. But here in the city such actions and behavior would only cause you grief on many levels.

There is a thing called saturation point and nature can only reclaim so much so fast. In the Nam you could smell a base camp or city for miles. ~ We burnt “all” human waste there. ~ and it does kick up a sizable odor.

It’s not possible for every American to be a Pioneer even if they wished too!

          • http://?? Joe H.

            bob wire,
My father on law lives just east of Cleveland and has both! his water is very good and has been tested periodically!! IF it is properly installed and maintained, they are of no real concern!! y Father in Tecumseh Michigan also had both!!

        • bob wire

“You really never tire of blaming 43 do you?” please don’t confuse “blame” or “weather” with “lost opportunities”.

I think most of us have concluded 43 was not the sharpest tool in the tool box at this point. ~ but even so, he still has a change to buffoon his way into the history books and allow history itself to redeem his tenure.

If it wasn’t for 43′s insistence to “drop in” on daddy’s old adversary and foe ( since we were just happened to the neighborhood) to even up old scores while taking the US military on a 6 year sight seeing trip of desert sand while Dick the snake’s men quietly did their own exploration for future mineral extraction ~ the middle east would still be a relatively stable area and the Arab people still accepting their conditions of oppression.

Our prolonged present in the region and creating power vacuumes has shifted the balance of power ~ and if for no other reason then simply US greenbacks flowing like a river into the region and into the hands of “the people” and not just lofty leadership and bad guys.

They will never be the same again! ~ We need now to only send in McDonalds and Walmart to finish them off!

Bush buffoonery, has created conditions and set things into movement both here in the US and abroad that some good might yet be made of.

If you wish, Let us look at 43 as a Moses and we are all on some 40 year camp-out in the wilderness and it will be our children’s, children that experience the rewards of these events we endure today.

Metorlady, follow my post, ~ one poster is saying “O” will make political hay from bad weather ! & I say sure, why not! and maybe 43 should have done the same. ~

So tell me, how do you fault my reasoning with “blame” ?

      • JeffH

bob, I thought you were through with this website yet you keep coming back with your odd style of dribble. Your addiction must be pretty severe. You just keep asking the questions like a good little liberal should.

        • bob wire

Jeff, It’s been raining for the last 24 hours here in north east Texas. Must of my work is on building roof tops and working with electricity, plus I hold lighting strikes in high regard.

I’ve worked out at the “Y” ,shopped at Office depot , did some banking, lunched with friends and had a little time on my hands.

I admit it ~ I enjoy this and i dislike quitting what I enjoy, while sometimes I find many of you totally absurd and border line sickening.

Just consider me winging off a bad habit and might pop in at anytime to check on you and make sure you’ve not ran off the road and stuck in a ditch somewhere.

How about them Seals Six? I’m a pleased man today and I celebrate! Perseverance, Preparation, Resolve, Leadership and Execution is a strong and winning combination in whatever pursuit, it don’t matter what you direct it on.

You can’t allow a Nat flying up your nose to make you loose focus.

        • bob wire

” You just keep asking the questions like a good little liberal should.”

Little ? Liberal? Should? ~ damn Jeff ! you can’t even get the simple stuff right!

For the Love of Christ Jeff, what are you to do when things get more complex the right or left , big or small?

“should” is a being verb, there are many of them. am, is ,are, was , were, have, had, has, had, do, did, done, may, might, must, will, would, shall, should and can, could ~ I could or I can, or I will or I shall continue to ask you question when things are not clear or not making any sense.

I ask these question in some hopes someone might actually attempt to think up some acceptable answer and when they can’t ~ they might just ask themselves “why”. I’m not really expecting an answer but I am at least willing to listen to one, while you don’t ask or offer either. You only pontificate crap you’ve absorbed somewhere that makes little sense and can’t be actually proven or justified, only to be accepted or rejected by virtue of a predetermined bias.

But I haven’t completely given up. I suppose that you’ve read the story of Jonaha haven’t you? ~ it’s about the same thing.

          • denniso

Most of these guys and girls don’t respond w/ any thought or substance, and only spout hate and anger…it’s like when a big old sow gets mad,not much thinking going on.

          • JeffH

denniso & bob, then there is the mindless jibberish and rhetoric that you’re both so famous for.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            bob,
give up the booze! It makes you ramble! Or is it weed or something stronger??

          • http://?? Joe H.

            bob wire,
Actually you forgot a couple, it’s: am is are was were be been have has had do does did can could shall should will would may might must!!! Had to memorise it in about fourth grade and it stuck!!

          • denniso

Yep, your a fool. Making fun of a guy who has said before that he has a reading problem. I can imagine you as a schoolyard bully in 5th grade…I dealt w/ them and ones like you w/o words back then.

  • meteorlady

I live in Texas. We have tornadoes, but we also have two nuclear power plants not too far away.

We recently had friends visiting from Washington state. While they were here I took delivery of some MREs that I had ordered along with three more food grade storage containers with airtight lids.

I believe from their questions that they though I was a bit off. So, I asked them what they would do if Mt. Raineer had a giant mudslide (it’s happened in times past) or there was a major earthquake like Japan. What would they do for food and water? They had no answer, but I think they went home thinking I might be a little more sane than they first thought. I hope that they will stock up on supplies.

I have emergency radio, solar battery charger, guns, ammo, food and water stocked. I don’t really care much about having a lot of gold and silver – that’s for people that believe that there will actually be stores that will accept any type of payment. I believe that bartering will be the deal of the day if there is economic collapse. Gold would mean nothing to me if someone wanted to buy my food that I need for my family to survive. I also grow veggies and fruit, whatever I can, and have a couple of cows at a neighbors ranch.

I feel sorry for the people in large cities and the liberals that are government dependent, they will be left with nothing.

    • http://! Angel Wannabe

Meteor Lady, I’m hearing ya, our kids are gettin it, but still think I’m a bit lonely, I could care less. I’m in the process of buying some chickens (layers), in case of emergency its either eggs or fresh meat, which ever applies._-I’m convinced if some calamity goes down, we’ll be ready as we can, if it doesn’t then we’re well stocked anyway!

      • http://! Angel Wannabe

ML, Sorry I meant to type “looney”!

    • 45caliber

      meteorlady:

I agree about the liberals on government payrolls not being ready. But then they are too willing to depend upon the government. They can’t conceive of the government not being there to provide for all their needs. And many are already into crime so I don’t suppose that stealing food will be much out of their line of work now.

      • denniso

Many liberals are already into crime? Don’t make such stupid comments.

      • bob wire

So I’m thinking what’s the difference between a conservative on a government payroll and a liberal on a government payroll? ~ Does one of them have super powers or two heads? Is One more deserving or more worthy the the other? ~making one less deserving and less worthy via party affiliation or voting record?

A 30 year GOP voting record is certainly nothing to be boosting about if history is to be considered , Oh yea ! I forgot, there is now “two” histories, one for conservatives, written by conservatives and one for everyone else! How convenient !

so I suppose a book burning would be in order? Someway to cleanse society of thoughts, ideals and accounting of history that you don’t agree with.

Hasn’t that been done before? I’m certain it’s not a new idea!

      • 45caliber

        denniso:

If you check, most people on welfare are liberals. They will vote Democrat because, as one woman noted, “the Democrats always give us more things while the Republicans don’t.”

And a huge percentage of the criminals in the US are on welfare since crime is the only way they can increase their income without losing those welfare bennies. Over half of all crime is done by those people.

        • bob wire

“If you check, most people on welfare are liberals.” I’d love to check! do you have a link or at least offer a key word.

Welfare recipients voting records? ~ i’ll try that!

          • denniso

There is no response to such a dumb comment,’most people on welfare are liberals’.

  • Lewis Munn

I guess I need to find me a good wife who can help me garden and preserve food! And dig a cave back in the hill!

Hard to do the needed things when I cannot find employment and am old and on SS. And no gold thar in my hills!

But I have good memories of helping people in need, and having children who have gone on to be living useful lives helping others in many ways, in different parts of this land.

    • DaveH

I believe, Lewis, that the best a person can do for themselves is to adhere to their own personal code of morality. If you do that (and it sounds like you do), you will like yourself, and that is the most important thing we can accomplish in our lives.

      • bob wire

people can or can’t not do the best that they know how and I’m not sure how much it matters. Survivors are often an unlikely bunch. But if you are depending on Gods help, I like to think it starts with self.

But my experience is, ~ you only die when it’s your time to die and sometimes living is much harder thing to do.

I tore my cloths off running thu 6 rows of Constantina wire ( razor ribbon wire) while under automatic small arms fire, left standing in my boots and torn GI shorts and not a single drop of blood. It was all slow motion and deliberate, like I had all the time in the world. You do the best you know how and leave the rest to the Lord, ~ if he wants you, he will come and get you.

  • Henry Ledbetter

The good news is that in Alabama we have church’s on almost every corner and they do turn out to help at times like these. Some will give a little and some will give a lot while many volunteers are turning out to help those that are in need. The little church we attend voted to give the benevolence committer $10,000. yesterday with instructions to come back when they needed more. It really is more blessed to give than to receive. I am also hearing of some vounteering that have never volunteered before.. We cotinue to hear of many miracles

  • ONTIME

The foremost weatherman and forecaser is a gent by the name of Joe Bastardi, generally you can see him on FOX or the weather channel, I like his thoughts. Accordingly the Pacific’s history of warming and cooling and the noted changes in the jet stream usually dictate these severe weather changes that come during this part of the year and this year he not only stated but demonstrated the this adverse weather pattern. He did note that even he was surprised at the number of tornadoes but also the intensity of the one that hit Birmingham. Like the man said, “it ain’t no garden of eden down here and Ma Nature can nail you to a post real fast.”

  • http://obomaandclinton dale bennett

my father bought this up, thos that are with israil are blesed, aginst are cursed, with obumer and clintons making choises against israil, even prviding troops to remove 600,000 jews from there land for a palistin state, i fear this is just the begining

    • denniso

We are not providing troops to remove Israelis from their land.

    • bob wire

ah! the chosen ones! ~ If I was writing a nice long book about God and my place, ~ I too would be one of the “chosen ones” and any man that rose against me would surly be cast into hells fire and damnation forever and ever!

I would also write that hell fire was also available for anyone that added too or took away words from these holy works !

It’s a good thing that I too “believe” and consider myself at least worthy of affiliation. I’m a buffet Christian, ~ I accept what is usable to live a clean life and doesn’t demand I accept the Jew bias, holy water, symbolism and pageantry. I’ve just not buying God as a human much less parcel to one sect of the human race. ~It makes absolutely no sense for a God to harbor a bias and then ask his creation to not.

God, the Son and the Holy Ghost are simply manifestations of the same thing, ~ steam, water, vapor, ice all the same thing in different states of manifestation.

Israeli is well, she is the captain of her own vessel today and probably some of the baddest cats around , not to mention the wealth at their disposal. I wouldn’t worry none about the health of Israel anymore then I’d worry about poor wealthy people in the US, ~ your time best spent worrying about yourself instead my friend.

  • http://patriotfamilys.com Patrck Rohrbach

MAN, such simpletons. They see, yet they are blind. To calm the fear in their ignorance, use MotherNature to blame for the wrath of God. Cause she is a kinder, gentler, entity, than a God not at all happy with his children who are TOO STUPID TO BREATHE. WAKE UP OR BE DAMNED… pretty simple even for the most ignorant among us. and yet.
    ……..

    • bob wire

Well a lot of people certainly think that, the vengeful, jealous God.

The Old Testament is fully of stories and claims that support these notions.

One might take into consideration the times and the people that was being address. But No! ~ These books of many authors are not viewed in that light but viewed rather as timeless and address all.

That the social order of the day was primitive and lawless and the people of the time were little more then heathens that require a “strong” message and a vengeful God to encourage compliance , yet we still employ the same threat today.

In any case, it’s not an argument I see any need to peruse, only worthy a mention. Your God and mine share many common similarities but I don’t share all of your views about the nature of God.

    • bob wire

And , YES! difficult and strange times lay ahead. Things are a changing !

The history of the earth is one of great upheaval of biblical proportions and many will die in the process. It’s has always been so and continues to be.

Man’s quest is to grow beyond earth and return home to the stars from where he came.

In the meantime, enjoy your little day.

  • http://WeThePeople Jean

It was a hard time for all of us Alabamians. But I would like to thank Ruby Tuesday’s for their outstanding call to help – in all locations. They said bring your own plate and we will fill it for you. The others were the local Churches who have always opened their hearts. We saw no one else. We know that Talladega was hit had – but so were a lot of other counties. At least our Governor stepped forward and acknowledge this. Obama acted like a low down red neck and yes we will remember him for the insult.

    • denniso

And what exactly did Obama do that you didn’t like?
