Putting A Cap On 2012

Putting A Cap On 2012
PHOTOS.COM

I think we can all agree that 2012 was an interesting year.

As it was a Presidential election year, headlines were dominated by election news. But election politics was only part of what made 2012 interesting: There were wars and rumors of more wars, large storms and the ongoing worldwide financial crisis. All of these played a part, in one way or another, in the recent election.

But there were a lot of other newsworthy events as well: Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s investigation into President Barack Obama’s birth certificate (and the media’s disinterest), the imprisonment of Brandon Raub (and the media’s disinterest) and a related issue, the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the self-immolation of the Republican Party and ongoing efforts by the elites to establish one world government. To look at some of the big issues of the year, I’ve chosen the 10 most commented upon of all my articles from the past 12 months.

In addition to providing a refresher on some of the year’s biggest stories, this exercise may also serve to help educate our new readers who may have missed some of these discussions and to rebut some preconceived biases some have — as evidenced by their comments — when they first arrive at Personal Liberty Digest™.

So here they are, counting backward beginning with No. 10. I hope you enjoy the year in review.

Suspending All Logic

Believing without doubt the official birth narrative of President Barack Obama — that he was born to Stanley Ann Dunham and Barack Obama Sr. in a hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Aug. 4, 1961 — requires a complete suspension of logic.

Last month, I pointed out in How Can Anyone Be A Birther? a partial list of reasons to doubt the official story. Note that I say it’s only a partial list. There is enough evidence to produce reasonable doubt in the minds of reasonable people that Obama is not a natural-born United States citizen as required in Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution.

Obama has for several years claimed he was born in Hawaii. He has also claimed, through his official biography with a literary agent and as a young man in Hawaii, that he was born in Kenya.

Both of those are not possible. Therefore, one is a lie. Obama is, among other things, a liar.

So You Think You Are Free?

So you think you are free? After all, we have a Constitution with a Bill of Rights that “preserves” our freedoms.

So you think you’re free? Ask Brandon Raub what life in a free country is like. He was kidnapped from his home by the FBI, Secret Service and local police over Facebook posts in which he questioned 9/11 and accused the Bush family of committing crimes. He was held for a week with no charges and had a psychiatrist threaten to medicate and brainwash him.

He’s not alone. John Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute, who gained Raub’s release, says calls coming into his organization reveal a pattern of abuse.

In fact, veterans of the perpetual Mideast wars are increasingly being targeted by the state as needing psychological evaluation. That’s because many of them come home and challenge the official line of the wars’ results. The Department of Homeland Security has for years been laying the groundwork toward branding dissent as terrorism and naming veterans as possible ring leaders. Using charges of psychosis or nuttery is one way the state marginalizes dissenters.

How Can Anyone Be A Birther?

“Birther” is a term the mainstream media have put on those who question whether President Barack Obama was born in the United States and is, therefore, eligible to hold the office of President. The MSM mean it as a derisive term. After all, no higher authority than Snopes.com has validated Obama’s citizenship.

So how can anyone believe Obama was born anywhere but Hawaii?

It certainly can’t be because Obama’s paternal step-grandmother once made the claim that Obama was born in Mombasa, Kenya, and that she was present at the birth.

It certainly can’t be because a Kenyan newspaper, the Sunday Standard, published an article in 2004 with the headline “Kenyan-born Obama all set for US Senate.”

It certainly can’t be because The Nigerian Observer published an article in November 2008 about how Kenyan-born Senator Barack Obama was the favorite to win the U.S. Presidential race.

It certainly can’t be because there are a number of other articles that say he is Kenyan-born.

Republicans Form A Circular Firing Squad

We may be witnessing the death of the Republican Party. If so, good riddance!

The party apparatus has lied to its faithful for years: The party of small government… the party of freedom… the party that supports the Constitution… the party of the 2nd Amendment… the party of free enterprise. The rhetoric has never matched the performance, but the faithful proles always held out hope that next time would be different. They held their collective noses and voted for the candidate the elites shoved down their throats.

Once again, the party elites have pre-determined the nominee. It’s Mitt Romney.

Romney has received endorsements from two of the party’s biggest losers: Senator John McCain and former Senator Bob Dole. With friends like those, no wonder the proles are looking elsewhere.

So the party has formed a circular firing squad.

Loving Our Enemies

“We’re under attack because we love freedom, is why we’re under attack. And our enemy hates freedom. They hate and we love. We differ from our enemy because we love. We not only love our freedoms and love our values, we love life itself. Our enemy hates innocent life.” — George W. Bush, addressing schoolchildren, Sept. 23, 2002

Any discussion of Ron Paul as a GOP Presidential candidate inevitably begets rants from the paranoids about how Paul’s non-interventionist foreign policy would make America vulnerable to attacks from Iran or Islamic extremists from one Muslim nation or another.

Typical of the responses are irrational, fact-devoid screeds like these, taken from our comments section last week:

  • “Ron Paul is truly a loose cannon , short sighted and ignorant of world relations . On one hand he is correct , we should worry about America . On the other , we MUST worry about the spread of nuclear weapons in the hands of a militant regime who has no compunctions about using them in order to advance their agenda . If this half senile old fool thinks for one instance that Iran would be justified in closing down the Straights to prevent sanctions he should not be seeking the Presidency . Those who defend him should stop and think what it would mean to listen to him an sit back ignoring this bunch of crazed Iranian leaders as they lead us to a war no one will survive . You Have Been Warned !”
  • “Screw Ron Paul and Screw Iran. A vote for Paul will just Make it easier for the A-hole to get back in and finish his job of destroying the economy. As for Iran, they need to be taken out, NOW! They are a pus filled infection on this planet.”
  • “Is Ron Paul a Jimmy Carter replica? He needs to be sent off and released on the Afghanistan/Pakistan border. As a life long registered Republican, I will vote for Obama if Ron Paul win the Republican nomination. Puttin would make for a better President than Ron.
  • Ron is a total loser, a Bolshevik !!!!! How low has the Republican party gone, to have him a a presidential candidate. Disgraceful”

The truth is the U.S. policy of the past 50-plus years of meddling in the affairs of other countries by covertly backing coups, propping up friendly dictators and fighting proxy wars with Russia and China — using billions of dollars stolen from the American people — have only made the world a more dangerous place.

The 9/11 Conspiracy Theory

Tomorrow marks 11 years since the 21st century’s “Pearl Harbor,” the government’s attack on the U.S. Constitution, also known as 9/11, that launched the perpetual “War on Terror.”

Government, the mainstream media and an American populace blinded by normalcy bias, cognitive dissonance or faux patriotism — whatever you want to call it — and the powerful mainstream media propaganda machine consider anyone who questions the official narrative of 9/11 a “conspiracy theorist.” But the official narrative — that 19 hijackers, funded by Osama bin Laden and armed only with box cutters and a couple of flight lessons, commandeered four passenger jets and flew them into three buildings and a Pennsylvania field while U.S. air defenses dithered for almost an hour (in the case of the Pentagon) — is, as former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and retired Marine Col. Ronald D. Ray says, “the dog that doesn’t hunt.”

Examine the meaning of the words “conspiracy theory,” and you see that the official narrative is a conspiracy theory. Merriam-Webster defines “conspiracy theory” as “a theory that explains an event or set of circumstances as the result of a secret plot by usually powerful conspirators.”

The Obama Thugocracy

With his approval ratings below 50 percent as an election looms, Congress gridlocked over his economy-destroying budget proposal and the prospect that his signature piece of legislation — Obamacare — is likely to get thrown out as unConstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court, President Barack Obama and his minions have ratcheted up their tried and true modus operandi: thuggery.

This has long been common practice for Obama. His career was launched from the home of a convicted terrorist. His parents, friends and key influencers were socialists and communists. It is who he is.

Obama was first elected as a U.S. Senator from Illinois only after he and chief operative David Axelrod arranged to have the sealed divorce records of Obama’s opponents unsealed: first Democrat primary opponent Blair Hull’s, then Republican Jack Ryan’s.

Polls showed Hull enjoyed a healthy lead over Obama as late as one month before the primary. But then The Chicago Tribune — Alexrod’s former employer — began publishing stories accusing Hull of violent behavior in his marriage and claiming that an ex-wife had sought a protective order during their divorce. Finally, Hull and his ex-wife agreed to have the records unsealed; and another ex-wife, their children and a number of Hull’s acquaintances denied Hull was violent. But Hull’s poll numbers began to tank and Obama won the primary.

Is Mitt Fit?

The big bash called the Republican National Convention is set to kick off. If all goes as the party elites have planned, Mitt Romney will be nominated and acclaimed tomorrow (the roll call had been moved up to today “because of concerns about supporters of libertarian Texas Rep. Ron Paul” but Hurricane Isaac interfered) as the country’s salvation from four years of the illegal Obamination that currently despoils the people’s house.

Romney hardly qualifies as a savior — unless what you want to save is big government, ever-growing debt and perpetual war. Beyond the facts that Romney is a natural-born citizen (and there is no proof that the current occupant of the White House is) and there are slight differences in their statist, big government policies, there is little else to differentiate between Romney and the undocumented White House usurper.

To wit: Both believe the government should bail out failing industries; both believe in corporate and agricultural welfare; both support off-shoring American jobs; both support unlimited money printing; both support the notion that government can imprison people without charges or trial; both support government assassinations of Americans; both support weapons bans; both support socialized medicine; both support abortion; both believe in man-caused global warming and support cap-and-trade legislation; both have stated their undying support of Israel; both have advocated pre-emptive war on Syria and Iran and growing the American empire.

The False Flag Gun Grab

With the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty negotiations ongoing (and going badly for the gun grabbers and elite power brokers), a game-changer was needed. It came in the form of James Holmes, “The Joker” who allegedly shot up a Colorado movie theater July 20.

Holmes is almost certainly a patsy — a term used to describe those used by government agents to pull off their hits or staged false flag events. There are just too many questionable aspects to the whole story — and Holmes himself — for the incident to have gone down as depicted by government authorities.

The shooting has given President Barack Obama the cover he needs to both go after guns and sign the treaty. He was receiving a lot of pressure from his American gun-grabbing constituency to sign the treaty. But he was also receiving a lot of pushback from Congress — no doubt pressured by the powerful and much-feared National Rifle Association lobby — and a growing number of Americans concerned about Obama’s gun-grabbing proclivities.

Hastening The March To A North American Union And Global Governance

The march toward a union of the United States, Canada and Mexico — and ultimately global government — continues apace.

The ultimate goal of the elites is to create a one world socialist government. They have succeeded in combining most of Europe into a European Union (though the economic disaster there caused by the excessive corruption of the banksters, who overplayed their hands, may cause it to fly apart and the euro to crash). But even now we hear of a sinister plot by a covert group of EU foreign ministers who want to gain sweeping control over the entire EU and force member countries into ever-greater political and economic union.

The group holding the secret talks (excluding a representative from Great Britain) is called the “Berlin Group” of Europhile politicians and is being led by the German foreign minister. Its goal, according to opponents, is to create a modern-day equivalent of the European emperor envisioned by Napoleon Bonaparte or a return to the Holy Roman Empire of Charlemagne that dominated Europe in the Dark Ages.

      “Dear President Obama,

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don’t believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert. I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos’n Mate. Now I live in a “rest home” located on the western end of Pearl Harbor, allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country. One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man. So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish. I can’t figure out what country you are the president of. You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:
      ” We’re no longer a Christian nation”
      ” America is arrogant”
      – (Your wife even announced to the world,” America is mean-spirited. ” Please tell her to try preaching that nonsense to 23 generations of our war dead buried all over the globe who died for no other reason than to free a whole lot of strangers from tyranny and hopelessness.)

I’d say shame on the both of you, but I don’t think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9/11 you said,” America hasn’t lived up to her ideals.” Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War? I hope you didn’t mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.

I don’t think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected. Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.

Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don’t, I’ll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue . You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don’t want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts , who was putting up a fight? You don’t mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don’t want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.

One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you’re the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you’re not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you’re thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president.
You’re not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That’s not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now.

And I sure as hell don’t want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle…

      Sincerely,
      Harold B. Estes

A copy of a real letter by ther real man Mr Estes to Obama, IMHO says it all for last year.

Thank you Mr Estes for you service, America needs men like you.

Freedom Fighter I bet you would remember the Communist era that you fought against that were practicing population control like all communist governments have always done ?
Why we see a willingness today to rally around a trend that born that population control era back then that first started out as a Socialist Government telling the people they will care for their fair share that won the popularity only to then be duped into Communist rule was all due to a Period of Supply Shortages that led to civil unrest and conflict with Government intervention and oppression and we know the end result was Population control instead of Supply Expansion that didn’t happen until after WW2 that brought the longest period of Peace in the world without world war , and I bet Freedom Fighter is the only generation left that can acknowledge this , so that means we are destine to see history repeat itself aren’t we ???

      • eddie47d

Where exactly will that “supply expansion” come from Tony. How many more Rainforests or Boreal Forests will be destroyed before you are completely satisfied in savaging this planet. If you haven’t noticed over population is gobbling up farmland no matter what part of the world you live in. Whether in Mexico City or Denver Colorado bedroom communities are being built on once fertile farm land. At some place and time there will be a point of no return with dwindling fresh water supplies needed for those communities and argriculture.

I’m a birther, I don’t believe the idiot-in-chief was born anywhere in America, has more passports then most spies, more SS numbers then any illegal in America. Is a homosexual and that is the reason for his stand on homosexual marriage. Do I like him? No, he is a part of the reason this nation is about to be judged. God always gives a evil leader to a nation He is going to judge, we have kicked God out of schools and satan was waiting in the wings and we get a terrible thing happen in Ct. and then we ask, where was God? The answer those who booed Him at the maxist convention and kicked Him out of the public eye are to blame, they are Godless little gods who can’t understand they are human sinners who need a Savior. Do I hate them? No, I pray for them to change before it is to late.

I do hope people read both parts of this article. People really need to understand what is happening NOW…not somewhere down the road. It’s already taking place as we speak.

And take note, as well, where it tells of people being paid to infiltrate blog sites like this one, to disrupt, ridicule and be general pains in the b*tt. IT’S TRUE, regardless of what they say. They are sworn to deny it.

These liberal trolls are being paid to hand over their countrymen to our enemies. What kind of people do this. And yet, here they are.

      • Karolyn

I don’t think I’d be able to function if I lived in your world.

      • Karolyn

My question is “Why?” Why would anybody want to disrupt the world in such a way as to literally stop life from moving on? What purpose would that serve? We’re already owned by the corporate world. What more can the powers that be get? Sorry, I just cannot believe it. No logic. These supposed “deep throat” guys have to be purely fiction.

      • Karolyn

Did anybody ever stop to think that these people are all part of another plan? A plan to create fear and hysteria?

      • Kate8

Karolyn – A perfect example of how trolls work: ridicule, marginalize, call people crazy, act as if things are really just normal. Some are just nicer about it than others. And you never fail to make such comments when some of us try to voice concern about the obvious.

Do you really think that, even though things are progressing exactly the same way they did under Lenin, Stalin and Hitler, that this time it will go differently?

I strongly urge you and ev;eryone to watch this video about the history of communism in the past century under these tyrants, and see if you still think things are okay. If this doesn’t present to you the real face of progressivism, nothing will.

      • Kate8

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=WcAPJ-kn8Vs

This should be required viewin for every American.

      • Karolyn

Kate – If I have something to say, I will say it. If I have reservations about something, why should I not voice them? It is not as obvious to me as to you. I see plenty of room for reservations and will not blindly follow.

      • DaveH

If you want to tip-toe through the tulips, Karolyn, so be it. But your condescension towards people whose eyes are opened is uncalled for. The Power that certain humans crave defies logic. That lust for Power is not something they are going to openly reveal. If you’d read the book I keep posting (“Conceived in Liberty”), you might wake up. But probably not.
Rational people just assume that Leaders would do what’s best for everybody which in the long run would be good for them also. Unfortunately, you can’t apply rationality to Leaders. They get caught up in their lust for Power and go blind.
The thing that gets me though, in your case Karolyn, is that you have some of the qualities that drive Leaders to those depths. Like your ability to rationalize taking advantage of other people.
So I’d think that you would be less naive than others, but obviously I think wrong.

      • Mikey

Great article Time, thanks for sharing. Even if it’s not true, it’s always best to be prepared for the worst.
Karolyn is either a troll, or a naive liberal. If she’s a troll, she’s part of it and should be ignored. If she is simply a liberal and chooses not to err on the side of caution, then at least we can say we warned her when the [expletive deleted] hits the fan.
        Interesting days to come……

  • DaveH

Any readers who just can’t fathom events such as the Brandon Raub kidnapping, or our Leaders as potential despots need to study some history of our own country. The Oligarchy in our own country did things to people that most of us would find difficult to believe. To think our modern-day Leaders are inclined to be any better is just naive, especially in the face of the perpetual wars that our Leaders are engaged in at our expense.
Those who don’t learn from history will repeat it:

Heres the Fuse thats been Lit to bring on the crisis that the elite then can be seen as the savior of all Capitalist economic failures as we have been told these past 4 years that Capitalism never worked never has and that we need a Government ruled economy that can Meter your rate of Consumption to make sure You GET YOUR FAIR SHARE when these same people are calling for Population Control ….

Dear God have Mercy this Christmas on the souls of the ignorant !!! http://www.businessinsider.com/gerald-celente-bonds-away-2012-12

      • Vicki

“get your fair share” is rather interestingly like the Communist slogan

“From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.”

A persons need does not include iPhones and other gifts currently being provided by our government to buy votes.

All a person needs is food, water, protection from the elements.
Evidence in all those people all over the world who don’t have iPhones (and other amenities) but survive as slaves to the elite rulers of their country.

Raub… isn’t he the Marine who publicly called for a revolution against a government he deemed tyrannical and un-constitutional? So given the gun nuts insisting that it’s the mental unstable who commit mass killings and we should have a national register of the mentally unstable … and given that Raub is a marine (ex?) who made radical extremist statements and called for armed revolution…. isn’t this case exactly what the extremists are saying should be done before any gun control, however reasonable, is put into law?

from what I read, he’s in for a 30 psych evaluation. Nothing more. given what ws written on his facebook page, and given his background….. what’s the gripe?

Especially since Brandon Mayfield’s detention was caught and his supporters were denigrated by the Right, especially when the unPatriotic Act was passed and those who opposed it were denigrated by the extreme right, especially when those who marched against the Iraq War were denigrated by the extreme Right, especially when the Occupy protests were denigrated by the right (of which i believe Raub also spoke against the very same issues that the OWS stood for) …

So…which is it? Y’all flip flop more often than a gaffed salmon on the pier

You tell us flashy. We aren’t the ones confused by or supporting the left vs right paradigm. Our view has always been rather clear. OWS good till they start messing up public places. Patriot act bad. Freedom of speech good (even though it means we have to tolerate yours). NDAA 2012 detention bad. Tea party good. And they don’t foul their protests by defecating on public service vehicles. Murderers bad. Defenders armed with proper tools good.

Our problem with government is not left vs right.
It’s 100% vs LIMITED vs no government.

Flip Flopping? Don’t know about that, but you sure are good at equivocating, Flashman.
Flashman says — “So given the gun nuts insisting that it’s the mental unstable who commit mass killings and we should have a national register of the mentally unstable”.
That’s odd, because I haven’t seen anything about the “gun nuts” pushing for a “national register of the mentally unstable”. But I have seen plenty of Liberal Progressives pushing for such things. Liberal Progressives are always happy to infringe on the Freedom of others in their random Witch Hunts.
So, I will just have to chock that one up to yet another of the many Flashman lies.

Better titled Top Ten Rehash of wild stories embraced by the radical extremist contingent.

= The extremists take control the GOP Presidential Primaries. taking out early the Moderates who would be odds on favorites to give the President gray hairs in his re-election bid, the Far right Extremists push the presidential candidates to such extreme positions that any nominee would be spending huge amounts of time and money to appear to come to a centrist position and make a serious bid for the office.

= Birtherism screams its last gasp. reaching it’s crescendo of ridicule by May, no major candidate fr office uttered the absurd claims after Donald trump was soundly slapped and ridiculed down by the public.

= European debt crisis. Showing the effects of an economic policy urged on the US by the extreme radicals, European countries struggle with economic chaos and deepening debt, unemployment, falling productivity, and stagnation.

= US economy improves, unemployment drops, manufacturing rises, stock markets gain, and the US becomes the economic engine for the world as it slowly regains lost ground from the GOP Great Recession. Loudly criticized by the extreme radicals who ignore the European and Japanese examples of the policies urged by the extremists

= Legitimate rape. Only the extreme radicals show any support for the statement.

= Effects of gerrymandering by the extreme radicals paralyze the US Congress during the debt debate, causing the US to come dangerously close to default, and causing the lowering of its credit rating and increasing the debt load on the Nation.

= Mass killings and refusal to take any responsibility by the extreme radicals. Blaming everyone and evreything but the gun, the extreme radicals come out in late December supporting policies which arm the schools, create a national registry of mentally ill, arm ever public place, every citizen and allow everyone to be armed without constraint, and insist the US move more towards a police state so they [ extreme gun owners] can arm themselves to protect against a…police state (I know, makes no sense to anyone with half a brain, but there you have it]

= Voter ID laws passed by radical extremists in several state to “guard against” massive fraud by individual voters. No such evidence exists of voter fraud other than insisting it did. Meanwhile, GOP operatives are discovered tampering with voter registrations, voter intimidation at the polls, and by GOP election officials.

= President Obama wins a resounding mandate in the elections, the Democrats take seats in the Senate winning 26 of 33, and despite the intense gerrymandering by the GOP, take 6 seats in the House. Rejecting the decision by a majority of the voters, the radical extremists call fraud, vote rigging, election fixing, and the alignment of the celestial planets as reasons the President won re-election.

And the number one of the TOP 10 ? 2012 is the year the extreme radicals marginalize themselves and lose a seat at the table in directing our nation’s affairs.

    • DaveH

Please tell us your Sniper story again, Flashman. You are such a fount of honesty and integrity.

    • DaveH

The administration shill Flashman says — “Mass killings and refusal to take any responsibility by the extreme radicals”.
Responsibility for killings that occurred in Gun Free zones? The radical here is you, Flashman, who would dare to blame those victims’ deaths on anything other than you and your despotic buddies disarming of them.

      • DaveH
      • Vicki

It is rather comical how they blame neither their own GunFree Zones nor the killer nor even the tools the killer used. They name the tools and then they go after a whole nation of innocent tools in the possession of responsible law abiding citizens.

Makes me think that the guy who said liberalism is a mental disorder might well be right.

    • DaveH

How long did it take your team of shills to put that one together, Flashman?

      • Flashy

Davey boy….between your Mises links ad nauseum (which you yourself never read) and your inability to give any indication of cogent thought, you are an entertaining clown I have to admit.

If you really are interested, it took about five minutes thinking as I wrote. it’s not that good..I was using it as an example of the out of touch world of the radical right extremists, of which thinking is shown on PLD boards often and daily.

What may take the top spot in the next few days is the gun nuts stance. Blame everyone and everything but guns. Urging costly policies which move us closer to a police state as they demand unfettered arming of this Nation. Let me guess..the shooting of the firemen in Webster this morning…that means we need even more guns right?

yeah….the nutcase agenda for giving us a police state so they can legitimize somehow the need for more guns. That just may be the top spot. Though giving us the re-election of President Obama and the mandate for his policies is something every Moderate and Progressive will always thank the extremists for.

        • http://www.facebook.com/tony.newbill1 Tony Newbill

President Obama was not reelected with a mandate Flashy the results were more of the same past 4 years so no mandate !!!!

        • http://www.facebook.com/tony.newbill1 Tony Newbill

Obama was reelected because he promised a clear continuation of Government subsidies but with no financial balance , a fact that has been debated , but people are scared for their future and the Romney Campaign gave nothing of substance as far as how ending Government subsidies was going to lead to Jobs that would pay a living that was equal to or better than what Obama was promising , Romney DID NOT delivered on this because he is a Internationalist who sees only the buy low sell high perspective of how international markets work under this flawed and failed trade policy of the past 18 years .
A self reliant industrial manufacturing restoration policy is what should have been the center piece of the 2012 campaign and the idea that bring balance back to a OVER dependent USA on foreign parts supplies so we the people are not SERFS to ASIA so that it is a National Security threat should have been compared to what it would mean if we lose the Trade Currency status for this Dependence and with it our 15 Trillion dollar GDP , what good is a International market Romney if our Currency is not accepted in it , is what I would have liked to asked him and Obama in a Debate !!!!!

Flashy you seem to think all Obama has to do is TAX THOSE RICH SOBs AND have Ben print the Money and all will be fine you get your fair share , but when those fair shares need to come from Foreign parts suppliers that now say they don’t want your dollars then what Flashy ????

Flashdunce says — “between your Mises links ad nauseum (which you yourself never read) and your inability to give any indication of cogent thought, you are an entertaining clown I have to admit”.
Funny, isn’t it, that a guy with no “cogent thought” can expose Flashman’s nonsense on a regular basis? That doesn’t reflect very well on your abilities, Flashman.

Notice, Folks, all the childish manipulation that Flashman has employed in just that one sentence. Get used to that kind of treatment if you don’t wake to the reality of Liberal Progressives and their Big Government. They are not the “intelligent” or “open-minded” people that are the stuff of Propaganda Lore. They are just mean, manipulative, self-centered, and pushy people who will make your lives hell if you don’t wake up and stop them now.

      • DaveH

Flashman says — “What may take the top spot in the next few days is the gun nuts stance. Blame everyone and everything but guns”.
Gun nuts? You mean those people, like yourself Flashman, who blame the killings on inanimate objects?
How totally ignorant can one get?
Here is a map, Folks, which shows the number of States which have adopted relaxed Concealed Carry Laws since 1986:
        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Rtc.gif

      • DaveH

And here is a chart which shows the number of violent crimes committed in the US since 1960:
        http://www.disastercenter.com/crime/uscrime.htm

Notice that during the heyday of Gun Control the violent crime rate was growing relentlessly until 1991. Then it started declining, even in the face of all those dangerous guns that the Liberal Progressives warn us about.

      • DaveH

Folks should also think about this possibility:
        http://beforeitsnews.com/strange/2012/12/more-massacres-until-gun-laws-enacted-insider-2446078.html

Does seem a little strange doesn’t it, that all these mass shootings and the Fast and Furious scandal have been occurring under an anti-gun President, and in the context of the UN arms control treaty? Just how much coincidence does it take to wake us up to the possibility (probability) that we are in the midst of dirty tricks by power-hungry Leaders?

      • Flashy

Forbes “In the 10 years from 2000 through 2009, more than 298,000 people died from gunshots in the U.S., about 30,000 people a year. If you exclude natural causes of death and consider only deaths caused by injury, it is the second-leading cause of death over that time span; only car accidents (417,000) killed more people. (These numbers come from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.)

In 1991, 15 years after Washington, D.C. banned handguns, researchers from the University of Maryland conducted a study to assess the impact of the ban. They tracked homicides and suicides in the district from 1968 to 1987 and found that homicides by firearm fell by 25 percent and suicides committed with firearms dropped by 23 percent.

Murders and suicides committed by other means neither rose nor fell—in other words, people didn’t use other methods to commit an act they already wanted to commit. …”

In other words…keep the guns from the bad guys, and they tend not to use guns. What a concept !

Ban manufacture of any further assault type weapons, limiting clips to 10 rounds on exisiting.

Register every sale of guns. Gun reg. number and the buyer. Gun dealers have to run a background check on each buyer, and include it when reporting the sale. ( selling three or more guns per year makes one a gun dealer. ) Bad guys use ‘em, easy to backtrack who is selling guns to the bad guys.

Make Concealed Weapon Permits more detailed in requiring classes, live fire, and situational awareness. Have “classifications” of what gun is allowed under the CWP…from small to larger caliber and type. Must pass all three (class, sit. aware., live fire) to have a CWP.

Of the three, which is unreasonable?

      • Vicki

        Flashy says:
“Davey boy….between your Mises links ad nauseum (which you yourself never read) and your inability to give any indication of cogent thought, you are an entertaining clown I have to admit.”

What a wonderfully useless ad hominem.

Flashy: “If you really are interested, it took about five minutes thinking as I wrote. it’s not that good..”

Honesty. A refreshing change Flashy. Thanks.

Flashy: “What may take the top spot in the next few days is the gun nuts stance. Blame everyone and everything but guns.”

Silly people. How dare they ignore those vicious evil INANIMATE objects.

Flashy: “Urging costly policies which move us closer to a police state as they demand unfettered arming of this Nation.”

So that’s what every other tyrant missed. How silly to try and have a police state and only arming the police. What were they thinking?

      • Vicki

        Flashy writes:
“In other words…keep the guns from the bad guys, and they tend not to use guns. What a concept !”

And since the only 2 ways to keep guns from bad guys is to kill them or jail them why do you thing any of your 3 ideas are reasonable?

Oh and there is some doubt how well jailing them is in keeping them from having guns.
        http://lehighvalleywithlove.com/post/2638188491/gun-found-in-eastons-northampton-county-prison

That’s odd, because according to the Disaster Center, there were 163,068 total murders (by any means) in that 10 year period. And according to the National Institute for Justice, 68% of murders are by gun. So 68% of 163,068 gives us about 110,886 murders by gun:
        http://www.disastercenter.com/crime/uscrime.htm

So even the raw numbers don’t come close to Flashman’s claim, let alone the adjusted figure which is about 1/3 of what Flashman claims.
Ignorance or purposeful lie. You decide.

      • DaveH

Flashman says — “In 1991, 15 years after Washington, D.C. banned handguns, researchers from the University of Maryland conducted a study to assess the impact of the ban. Okay, according to Flashman, homicides by firearm fell by 25 percent. And murders committed by other means neither rose nor fell.

Again funny because in 1968, according to the Disaster Center, the number of murders was 195, and in 1987 the number of murders was 225. So it would be just a little difficult for the number of gun murders to drop by 25 percent while murders committed by other means neither rose nor fell.

Here are the actual figures for DC:
        http://www.disastercenter.com/crime/dccrime.htm

Notice also that in 1967 total murders were 178, and in 1988 total murders were 369, for more than a 100% increase.
It seems that Flashman and cohorts were trying to cherry-pick the results to make their point. As Usual.

Again, is Flashman just ignorant, or is he purposely trying to deceive you? You decide.

      • Flashy

Davey boy, go argue with that well know spreader of Liberal lies Forbes magazine. As noted, that is direct from Forbes. The FBI has the same data if you want to verify.

Have nice day…and don’t forget your Mises links so you know when to go to the bathroom …

      • DaveH

It’s actually pretty funny that Flashman picked DC as his example of the benefits of gun control.
Of the 50 states plus DC per 100,000 people:
DC is #1 in Violent Crime.
        DC is #1 in Murder.
        DC is #1 in Robbery.
DC is #1 in Aggravated Assault.
DC is #1 in Property Crimes.
DC is #1 in Vehicle Theft.
In Fact, the only crimes they don’t rank highly in are Burglaries and Rapes. I guess they figure they needn’t even strive for top billing in those two since the Government would make them look pale in comparison.

Another notable thing is that here we have the area closest to the seat of the Federal Government, and these are the guys who are supposed to protect us from harm? Dream on.

      • DaveH

Flashman says — “Davey boy, go argue with that well know spreader of Liberal lies Forbes magazine. As noted, that is direct from Forbes”.
No, Flashman. It wasn’t “noted”. It was only “stated” by you, and as I have proven — your word is worth little on this board.

No one is saying ban guns. No one is saying reasonable sane people can’t own guns. What the call is for are putting into place means to make sure the bad guys getting guns are smaller in number and it is more difficult and costlier for them to obtain a gun.

Phi…I believe both Bloomberg and Feinstein have called for the banning of assault type weapons and tighter controls on the sale of guns not the ownership. You have an issue with which proposal?

You’d rather we move closer to a police state with armed people in our schools and more armed police in public places? A national registry of the mentally ill without restraint on the use of that data? Curtailment of liberties based upon rumor and innuendo from neighbors etc?

He dressed in Satanic dress. He even refered to himself as the devil. Legitimate gun owners shouldn’t be on the defensive. They should be on the offensive against those that want to deprive them of the right of owning tools of defense. What is their motive? Why are they using those that were massacred by one of Satan’s disciples as collateral for their agenda?

Time honored technique. Jail them. That will accomplish all that you ask for without violating the rights of the law abiding citizen.

Oh and more law abiding citizens who are armed and therefor not easy prey will make the total number of bad guys smaller in number also.

Jukebox:. The difference is that all of those Chinese students survived (only 2 who are critical) and 27 are dead in Newtown.

      • DaveH

Why would someone want to debate with you, Flashman, on opinions? It would be like them bringing a pen knife to your gun fight — them being honest and you not.

      • phideaux

Also note that Flashy does NOT deny he is a paid to come on this site.

    • Vigilant

Flashy says, “And the number one of the TOP 10 ? 2012 is the year the extreme radicals marginalize themselves and lose a seat at the table in directing our nation’s affairs.”

Sorry, you’ve got that wrong. 2012 is the year the extreme radicals congratulated themselves and consolidated their power at the table in directing our nation’s affairs.”

      • eddie47d

Vigilant: Those on the right continually lambasted the 47% as unAmerican takers when there was little truth to that. They brought themselves down with personal attacks against Muslims, blacks,Hispanics, woman, gays and put up a brick wall to any change. They tried living so deep in the past that no one was able to see the light and come up for air. The right brought up so many false claims against Progressives that people just plain stopped believing them. That all blacks cared about were “free cellphones”,that gays are all pedophiles (far from it),that women were “sluts” (oh please),All Hispanics are illegal (that is really dumb), Muslims will enact Sharia law (not gonna happen). Even worse that there would be Martial Law enacted before the 2012 elections. The right put up so many roadblocks to any sanity in the conversation that it all turned into a circus act.

      • Flashy

Vig….the extremism in this nation runs in cycles. Sometimes the Left, sometimes the Right. And the life cycle is predictable. We only have to go back to the late 70′s and early 80′s to see the ends of a usual cycle. Then, the Dems were in the throes of battling between the Liberal and Moderate factions. The Liberals held sway over much of the agenda not through numbers, but with noise. And they held a slim number of seats which were “safe’ from any competition but from further left. What happened? Dixiecrats and the Dems lost the South. The Democrats purged the most leftist elements from leadership and voice, and retook the WH and Congress after 10 years of infighting and remaking the brand.

Almost the same occurs with every cycle of extremism. The extremists control with noise, scare, and rely on ignorance of the masses…gain influence in affairs..and that scares the living daylights out of the American public as they see what the extremists will impose upon national policy and social agenda..

2012 was the zenith of the TP extremist / American Taliban Right. take the current deadlock. 50-60 radical extremists are preventing Boehner from cutting the deal with the President. They’d rather push us into another recession than begin dismantling the Welfare for the Wealthy programs and stop the redistribution of wealth from the Middle Class to the wealthy.

OK…Boehner may not be a Moderate, but he’s not insane. We may go into 2013 with no deal and everyone being whipped because the radicals won’t budge. But my guess is Boehner will gather the Moderate Conservatives in the House and cut a deal with the Dems. Much as the Dixiecrats cut a deal with Reagan.

As with Reagan, the leadership will have to have the Senate send down a bill, and “force” Boehner to bring it to a vote releasing the GOP membership and allowing them to freely vote without party dictates to adhere to. As happened during Reagan and the Dixiecrats, a semi ‘coalition government” will operate until the 2014 elections. Then it will get interesting ….

      • DaveH

You are the extremist, Flashman. Extremely dishonest. Extremely immoral. And Extremely manipulative (in an adolescent sort of way).

    • Stuart Shepherd

What? Is this “Flashy” for real? Did any of that make sense to anybody or seem remotely true? Maybe “flashy” could be one of those that “mustache” Janet Napolitano locks up for political psychosis. Oh no, I got that wrong- Flashy would probably make sense to Janet. LGPT dogma personified.

There is a saying: The only thing new is the history you haven’t read yet. I read Cicero’s De Republic Legibus published about 150 years before Christ. Conservatively speaking over half of it could be tomorrows news. I’ve read the Christian history of the United States of America. In it I found that the founders researched ancient history back before they put the last dot on our Consitution. It took eleven years to write the Constitution. Thay asked God for the wisdom to pen a document that would be everlasting. Benjamin Franklin said: We’ve given to a Consitutional Republic Madam. If you can keep it. From the beginning Satan, the destroyer, has been at work. He looks for cracks in the dam and finds them with man’s knowledge of good and evil. Slowly evil, Satan, has been making his presence known with his dainties, till today. Now there is evil in our economics. There is evil in our Foreign policy. There is evil in our political structure. There is evil in our entertainment. In short, evil reigns. Because we no longer look for evil in everything we say and do, evil has us in bondage and the noose is getting tighter.. We don’t look to God like a child looks, hopefully, to their father for guidance, Satan is having a field day. There are lit fuses in everything we say and do. We turn on our computer or TV to find out where a bomb went off last night. Reaction has replaced action with researched reasoning. We no longer accept that if we put hands in a fire, we will get burnt. With God time is an alpha and omega, time without end. God knows we act like waves hitting a beach and he’s always there to catch us. Even in this late hour we can repent to God and start back the right road. Read and understand John 3:16

It’s like we have terminal cancer that we’re hoping it will go into remission, but we’re not taking the doctors order. Simple things to do.
1- Practice Economics 101: We can’t consume more than we produce
2- Foreign policy: Practice trade with all but have zero intervension with none
      3- Recognize these three points
A-Morality: God’s rules of action and interaction. Practice them
B-Immorality: Recognize immorality when it comes, repent to God and get back on the right track
C-Amorality: Functioning outside the rules of morality. Recognize people who practice it and treat them like rabid predators.
D- Start looking at those that have control over our lives, liberties and properties and treat them like the employees they are.
      E- Start being better employers
F- Regardless: Have John 3:16 in our hearts. No matter what happens we’ll have home base covered.

  • deerinwater

    Well? Great Summary Mr. Livingston.

On the up beat, Ron Paul has planted some seeds that will continue to grow. Only in the future might we expect a harvest.

Many that have long supported the GOP though the thick and thin are now waking up and realizing their leadership is lacking and failing to delivery the goods.

The birther issue was and is superfluous while it has awoke the people to the vetting process and importance of fine details. That “Language” is most important and the meaning needs to be clear and defined.

The Obama Thugocracy, ~ in comparison to passed administrations the likes of Nixon, or W, ~ Obama’s people could apply for Sainthood. Which is no defense to be certain but every Administration employs “Thumb Twisters” . I heard it said, that when it came to “percussion ” , LBJ could stand close enough to breath into a mans mouth.

Freedom? ~ We live in one of the most Free nations on earth, ~ but Freedom is not something to “own”, we are left to only make weekly and sometimes daily “installments” to exercise freedom. Sad perhaps, but an illusion to believe otherwise.

Quite making these payments and see just how fast your freedoms and liberties start to evaporate.

“We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. We must remember always that accusation is not proof, and that conviction depends on evidence and due process of law.
We will not walk in fear of one another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine and remember that we are not descended from fearful men, not from men who fear to write, to speak, to associate with, and defend causes which were for the moment unpopular.”

    Edward R. Murrow, March 9th 1954

    • JeffH

Deer says “The birther issue was and is superfluous while it has awoke the people to the vetting process and importance of fine details. That “Language” is most important and the meaning needs to be clear and defined.”

Let me be clear, the Obama birth certificated posted on the WH website has been identified as a forgery by Obama’s own eligibility lawyer, Alexandra Hill. Hill admitted that the image of Obama’s birth certificate was a forgery and made the absurd claim that, therefore, it cannot be used as evidence to confirm his lack of natural born citizenship status.

The meaning, natural born citizen, is clear and has been defined by the SC, though one must search elsewhere, beyond the Constitution to find the meaning of and the framers understanding and intent of it’s inclusion. That the court(s) have refused to hear or rule on any such case is purely political and a clear sign of judicial prejudice and judicial corruption.

      • JeffH

Also, Obama is not nor ever has he ever been a “natural born citizen” having been born with “dual citizenship”…his father being a British subject.

That is a fact that cannot be refuted intelligently or otherwise.

The very idea that we have a political system in place with representatives that refuse to or do not support and honor their oath of office, the Constitution and the American citizen is criminal and treasonous. Each usurper should be delt with accordingly, as “enemies of the state” and prosecuted accordingly to the full extent of the law.

      • Vicki

        JeffH says:
“Also, Obama is not nor ever has he ever been a “natural born citizen” having been born with “dual citizenship”…his father being a British subject.

That is a fact that cannot be refuted intelligently or otherwise. ”

Well it might be possible to intelligently refute but it would require a copy of the actual birth certificate so that we could see who the father was.

Of course the intent of the NBC clause is well known to any who bother to study history. It is not the DNA of the father or mother that was of concern to the founders. It was the loyalty. Obama’s presumed parents have made it clear where they stood.

      • deerinwater

All good arguments perhaps but still superfluous on less.

If these notions of “person-hood” ever make it into law, things are going to get even more crazy as we carry the argument back to “conception”.

      • JeffH

Superfluous? Hardly! WE, as a nation of free people have a supreme law…The Constitution. Unfortunately, our representing government chooses to ignore that “supreme law” and establish laws that seperate and exempt themselves from those laws that the rest of us are held to.

There were no less than eight attempts by members of Congress during the years Barack Obama was developing a power base and running for president to remove the Constitution’s requirement that a president be a “natural-born citizen,” suggesting an organized strategy.

Documentaion from congressional records show that beginning June 11, 2003, and continuing through the most recent effort, Feb. 28, 2008, there were eight proposals targeting that constitutional requirement.

  • Raymond Carl Hardie

Mr. Livingston, thanks for working to keep the spirit of free press alive by giving the other side of the story which our so called “media” will not! In the article ” So you think you are free” , I searched out the office of management and budget outlays in our federal government and was amazed at the growth of agencies which are funded thru expansion under the guise of national security. As of January 2012, there are 1,271 government agency’s and 1,931 private contractor companies on the government payroll all working on programs related to counterterrorism, homeland security, and intelligence gathering. The physical locations appropriated for these organizations is listed as 10,000 across the US. What is astounding is the records show their growth rate since 2002. The Pentagons Defense Intelligence Agency grew from 7,500 employees in 2002 to 16,500 today. The FBI Joint Task Force went from 35 to 106, the National Security Agency which does not give out employee numbers, but their budget amounts are released and the OMB says their budget has more than doubled in the last ten years. The Office of Homeland Security which was created by Mr. Bush and his comrades in 2002, has grown to 230,000 person workforce in ten years and the Foreign Terrorist Asset Tracking Task Force is growing but has not released actual employee numbers citing security concerns. In 2001 twenty-four new security and intelligence organizations were created, in 2002, thirty-seven more agencies were created, in 2003, another thirty-six organizations were created and in 2004 another twenty-six were created. If that were not enough, our Government seems hell bent on exploiting the fear of terrorism and so in 2005 thirty-one new agency’s, in 2006, thirty, and twenty more each year in 2007, 2008, and 2009. I guess the employment data the Government releases is perhaps of their own creation through all of these ever expanding police organizations. I do not understand why the need for so many intelligence gathering agencies, it just doesn’t add up unless there truly is something in the behind the scenes operation of government that is designing an agenda far beyond the so called war on terror.
Thanks again for challenging me to search out the truth.

Once in Royal David’s City stood a lonely cattle shed,
where a mother held her baby,
You’d well to remember the things He later said.

When you’re stuffing yourselves at the Christmas parties,
you’ll just laugh when i tell you to take a running jump.
You’re missing the point i’m sure does not need making,
that Christmas spirit is not what you drink.

So how can you laugh when your own mother’s hungry,
and how can you smile when the reasons for smiling are wrong?
And if i just messed up your thoughtless pleasures,
remember, if you wish, this is jus a Christmas song.

Hey, Bob you believe the step grandmother and the birth certificate made by some one who did check on the status of Kenya at the time of Obama’s birth, now that would not make me a believer.

How about checking with the current governor of Hawaii, he personally knew Obama’s parents and also knew she was pregnant and gave birth to a child in Hawaii who it turns out later has become the President of the United States. I know, this does not fit into your conspiracy but sometimes the cognitive dissonance does not change the facts to what you want. I surely thought most of the birthers would have given up by now but I guess fairy tales are easier on the mind than truth. So far all the wild details has not changed who the president of the United States is. Furthermore holding to the birther theory is going to with hold possible candidates from the GOP like Rubio, the bed is made now and GOP’s will have to lie in their decisions, good luck.

    • DaveH

Once its said people will believe anything and Conservatives have taken the bait too many times. They must be so confused with all that is proven either false or misinterpreted.

      • http://gravatar.com/bychoosing WTS/JAY

According to Obama’s Kenyan paternal grandmother, as well as his half-brother and half-sister, Barack Obama was born in Kenya, not in Hawaii as claims. When Obama was about to be crowned President, his grandmother, bragged that her grandson was about to be President of the United States and is so proud because she was present during his birth in Kenya, in the delivery room.

Pennsylvania DEMOCRAT Philip J. Berg, who filed a lawsuit demanding Sen. Barack Obama present proof of his American citizenship, now says that by failing to respond Obama has legally “admitted” to the lawsuit’s accusations, including the charge that the Democratic candidate was born in Mombosa, Kenya.

As WND reported, Berg filed suit in U.S. District Court in August, alleging Obama is not a natural-born citizen and is thus ineligible to serve as president of the United States. Though Obama has posted an image of a Hawaii birth certificate online, Berg demands that the court verify the original document, which the Obama campaign has not provided.

The undocumented President Obama earns that nomenclature because he has a past which nobody knows anything about: he hasn’t released the long-form of his birth-certificate, his student records are under lock and key, he turned down countless lucrative Wall Street jobs, but has never once given the names of these companies. This is why we call him our undocumented president. However, a juicy video of Michelle Obama up online and she, too, admits to be a birther.

Obama deception-did he Murder, “Toot”, His Grandmother? Why was she cremated rather then buried next to Stanley???

Did Obama murder his grandmother, Toot, who held a deep dark secret that would have crushed his candidacy–the fact that both she and his grandfather were Communists that had been investigated by the House UnAmerican Committee?

This video examines the many questions surrounding her death, Obama’s motive, his curious behavior, and the method he used to kill her.

Obama has many questions to answer, including why she was not brought back to the hospital after it was learned she was suffering from a “relapse” of cancer, why she was cremated instead of being buried next to her husband???

and why Obama left her apartment and snuck around the back of her building in an attempt to hide the evidence of his poisoning by mercury???

It is clear that Toot suffered classic symptoms of mercury poisoning shortly after Obama’s first visit in August, 2008, and died only 9 days after his second visit in November, 2008.

Since mercury poisoning is cumulative, Obama’s second dosing of his grandmother surely killed her.

He could not allow his grandmother, an active Communist in the 1950s, to remain alive, to give interviews and potentially derail his campaign.

The 2nd Amendment does not place restrictions or what-ifs on who can own a firearm– so all the restrictions that Flashy wants for anyone to own a firearm is agaisnt the Constitution—

Many years ago when i was in the Marine Corps I was issued an Mi Rifle, which was kept in my clothes locker , ammo was easy to obtain,as i was a Marksmanship Instructor, and the rest of the Marines had the same situation —but not a one of us ever used that Rifle to kill someone—other than the enemy in Korea for me, and for some of the other Marines there ,as that was the War of our time—

So what has changed in our Country that makes it worse for a citizen to own a firearm??

When the “experts” speak of “Assault Weapons ” they don’t seem to understand that any weapon can be called an assault weapon if it is used to assault a person or any other living thing—-

Most weapons are now semi-automatic, including handguns–even revolvers are semi-automatic, but if assault weapons are banned ,every handgun and rifle would have to be banned —and it seems that’s what all the anti gun folks want—disarm the people in this day and age and we will be right back to the worls of 1939 and the40′S when Hitler and Mussoslini anf Tojo in Japan was think they could control the world—-we still have that kind of men/women among us–scoff all you want at that , but the US Govt right now has too many of them , including the head honcho—

Semper Fi and Happy New Year to all , but especially to all Marines past , present and future—and of course to all our Military who protects us around the world—I salute you all and thank you for your service—-
