watched the video, aggravating. this is the result of the public education system, a really stupid populace who think they’re entitled. why would anyone waste their time arguing with a belligerent behemoth?

    • pete

      You’re right.

What a dumb question anyway. Is this guy who asked the question an agitator for the Union ? You can’t talk sense into an agitator, he/she will keep on spouting nonsense….

  • CJM

Uneducated educated nut bags who think they are entitled to everything without lifting a finger to earn the wages they demand. It is the teachers’ unions that have caused the loss of educational values and those teachers who support those unions deserve to be defunded and fired.

  • Reality Sets In

Why do I have a right to my money? Because I worked for it, work for your own if you want some!!!!!!

  • BOOHOO

“My husband has degree’s too, He has a welding certification”. That is not a degree that is a certification. Two different things. And your husband got laid off because WE ARE IN A RECESSION and NO ONE has ANY MONEY to buy luxury items like Harley Davidson motorcycle. We are all just trying to keep our homes and food on the table.

What a bunch of crybabies!!!!These people would last 1 day in the REAL WORKING WORLD

    • http://?? Joe H.

      BooHoo,
not to argue for the idiot but I do have a degree in welding technology. AAS! They throw in non-destruct testing, which is x-ray of welds among others, rectilinear flame and plasma cutters, and a whole lot of theory and metalurgy! Even a little of robotics. Ferris State College.

  • s c

This poster child for devolution has got to be a typical recent graduate of a public school. Does it
need to be said that his parents never had any children who lived?
In his case, it probably wouldn’t take much to argue that sterilization would be a good idea. Just what America needs (another braindead progressive).
    Community organizers, you missed one!

  • JC

None of these Union Morons make one single valid argument other than a case for self entitlement…which they don’t have either.
I liked the fellow who’s point was, “Why should I pay for your product, it’s a lousy product?”….exactly right!

And the moron whos asks, “why are you entitled to your money”…the mind absolutely boggles at the absurdity of the question. But it does make it a little more obvious the theory that “Liberalism is a Mental Disorder”. It sure looks like it.

  • Philip

“why do you have a right to your money?” Is this a joke?

    • s c

Philip, that geekoid who asked the question may never understand the many implications of what he said. He has, in effect, been programmed.
Imagine the nation’s response if those words came directly came from Herr Obummer. As far as I’m concerned, the question DOES come from Herr Obummer.
For now, Herr Obummer doesn’t have the guts to say it himself.

I find it funny (shameful not “haha”)that when libs protest, conservatives are civil and respect their freedom of speech. In sharp contrast, when conservatives protest, libs get confrontaional and even violent and have no respect for conservatives’ freedom of speech. The educational system is not the problem so much as the teachers are the problem. Speaking from experience, schools from elementary to university level are inundated with liberal thinking and liberal teaching instructors. (Even universities have unions, I worked at one.) Conservatives must remain adamant and vocal to bring common sense back into our Nation and education system. Kudos to those who speak out and defend our stance!

  • sunfire

I am a product of the American public school system- from elementary to University level I attended public schools- I am now the father of two children who attend public schools and I am greatly dismayed at the state of our public school system. Overcrowding- underpaid teachers- infrastructure meltdown within the school system– buildings and supplies- also test based academia with no freedom of teachers to bend the curriculum to their standards has dumbed down American schools to a point where we literally are hoping the children- do their best to EDUCATE THEMSELVES. I am also a small business owner that has in the last 20 years joined two unions when my business is slow- The unions are a savior to the working classes. I feel most people who are against unions don’t understand what the unions are about. Unions represent workers so that they can get a decent wage ( decent for some people is a sore point for people who ARENT in unions) and be represented when they are taken advantage of. If you are educated and know the history of unions and union busting in America and then look at how many people are under the thumbs of global corporations nowdays you would possibly sing another song. It is a shame that most working people don’t earn a decent wage in todays workplace- Cost of living increases have not changed in the last 30 years as far as I see it- Why aren’t you conservatives angry at what is happening now??- I think it is because you are being force fed mis information ny people like the guy who runs this website and plasters phoney polls all over the web. Besides the Tea Party guys in this video appear to be bullies AND that one fellow is a defense contractor??- great the Military Industrial Complex who we were warned about by Eisenhower is running amok and conservatives want to cut public shool finding NPR- look no further that the military industrial complex and their inside connections to the Pentagon to see where most of our- oops YOUR money goes.

    • http://?? Joe H.

      sunfire,
The history you speak of is just that, HISTORY! When the unions came in, they did a lot of good. now days, they take advantage of even their members! I have been in three unions and I wouldn’t work under another union if they let me run it!! I lost three good paying jobs by the union costing the company so much money that they laid off the whole second shift! One of them never recovered and went out of business! So now, you tell me how they have EVER helped me?? All they are doing now is pricing the USA out of different manufacturing markets!!

      • vicki

Where unions went wrong. They did 2 things that marked them as evil.

        1. The members tried to force others to join or at least honor the strike.
They even resorted to intimidation and violence.

        2. They started collecting money from the members. Once this started the beast began to take on a life of its own.

    • Wil

sunfire,as a teacher ,I can agree with your asessment of the public school system. It amazes me that so many students get to the university level still barely able to read or understand basic math.It may sound a bit hypocritical, but my own kids were homeschooled, and fared much better.Unions however, used to be a good thing before they were corrupted by greed. One of my biggest problems with them is that so many have made themselves mandatory. They don’t get their cut,you don’t work.Like pimps.Where I am at,fortunately, the union is optional.Oddly,I get the same pay level and benifits without the union as the members do.As a result,I really can’t see that the union is doing anything but lining their pockets with the dues of those that choose to join.

      sunfire,,,,

You’re not well in the head if the cost of living increases has not change in the past 30 years the way you see it, this comment does not even deserve an argument.
As for the overcrowding , the underpaid and the infrastructure & supplies it will never be enough for those mediocre minds and that obviously goes for you as well, you have one thing right, you’re definitely a product of our public school system…………

      • Civil Servant

“The unions are a savior to the working classes” makes the assumption that the “working classes” are unable to stand on their own two feet and provide for their own survival. This “Plantation” mentality did nothing to ensure this becoming the great nation it became as a result of the principles of private property (prior to the imposition of income tax), a decent days’ work for a decent days’ pay, and personal responsibility rather than situational ethics and”entitlement”

      • JIBBS

Sun, So what was the point of all the education and running your own buss.? I see what the public education system has done for you, made you crawl to the unions to hold your hand, and make sure you get what you deserve. People join unions because they are not capable of getting a job on their own and getting a decent wage on their own. I been in a union and so has my entire family. They once served a purpose, now they are bllod suckers. I make more without the union !

  • JimH

I think the question should be, Why do THEY have a right to MY money?
They weren’t there helping me out when I was EARNING it.

The no-cost solution for health-care and almost everything else

We have one problem in the entire world and one simple solution.
To the degree people are valued more than money is the degree to which we’d never take advantage of each other.

If you go to our web site, you’ll see our amazing accomplishments that have been made because we dedicate ourselves to getting a free solution out to most health problems that works infinitely better than anything else in the world. It is without aq doubt “The Greatest Health Discovery in History” and nobody can prove it wrong!!!! On top of that we accept no donations and pay for everything ourselves.
The problem is pain and suffering is a high profit business and gets more profitable every year because the worse our health becomes, the more profitable it becomes.
When was the last time science discovered a cure for anything or solved any high profit problem.
I personally run over 200 radio spots monthly on FM 94.3 in Scranton Wilkes-Barre, Pa. and the health care industry is furious with me.
At this moment WE are running TV spots on WBRE TV there on the breaks during Oprah, Dr. Oz. and The Today Show to promote a link to testimonials called “Rescued From the Grave Testimonials.” Also there are TV news specials on this that were aired at a time when saving lives was more important than money.
We have a saying: “God made us perfect, but our software sucks.”

This no-cost health solution will easily cut 1.5 trillion dollars from health costs, save countless lives providing the savings to restore our economyu and millions of jobs.
Check our watercure2.org site and prove it to yourself.

In Re: Protester to the Tea Party; Why do you have a right to your money? — Has it realy gone this far? The lady that wants to know why her Husband was laid off from H.D. while two ssters are still working there… Can’t get much dumber than that!!!

The entitlement mentality needs to end. Unions in their current form are counterproductive.

  • Mye

When Unions first appeared they were somewhat necessary, as workers were being taken advantage of by large corporations. Today written law protects almost all workers from harm. It used to be that Unions insured an honest days pay for an Honest days work. Now ,it seems, they stand for the least amount of work or production for the most amount of money. It does not work well that way.An example is that I worked for G.E. for a short period of time. In my training I was told not to do more than a certain amount of work, well I decided to show the new foreman that I could work very hard and I turned in 85 hrs. of work chits my first week on a machine. The following Monday I was approached by 2 really big guys who said they represented the Union and threatened both my knees if I ever turned in more than 40 hrs of chits for the week. Clearly a Union holding back productivity because if I could do it, the company would expect everyone to be able to do it. I am also a product of public schools, but the public schools of the 1950′s and early sixties when teachers were allowed to control their students, now the students control the teachers. We used to get smacked by the teachers if we were disrespectful, and again worse if our fathers found out about it. Ross Pirot was correct, we did hear a “BIG sucking sound”. It really is time to get back to reality. We must stop the crazy spending, and people need to become responsible for themselves again. We are losing the morales and work ethics of the GREATEST GENERATION.

Mye ,,,You are absolutely correct on all points but I think that the morale and works ethics have been gone for quite awhile for too many, the Unions have managed to take what could of been hard working folks and introduced them to the laze we see today and believe it or not, it’s catchy…… ….

I went to a ACE school (private) when I was in 7th Grade. Accelerated Christian Education is the best … here is their hyperlink. I feel their learning technology is superior to the public schools ..

    http://www.aceministries.com/

I only attended for 1 year … to bad for me.

But seriously, people can’t afford the public school system, they have to cut back financially..

It’s all relative to what a society can/can’t afford. Taxes are to high, property taxes are to high. People are losing their houses because of unemployment/underemployment. They can’t pay the taxes and mortgage. The Goose’s production of golden eggs is down .. Does that mean you cook the goose and eat it ? Where will socialized education be when tax revenues are down to zero ?

So this dude who says they aren’t doing a good job is really saying – under current economic conditions teacher wages are to high ! & many of the children are graduating with a case of “LIBTARDATION” ….

The Unions are being inflexible. They should adapt …

    • JimH

Pete, Where is my plate of cooked goose? I didn’t earn it but I deserve it. Gimme gimme gimme. I’ll just take your plate that you earned because why do you have a right to keep YOUR cooked goose.(sarcastic humor)

    pete ,,,

Unions should not have been allowed to enter the government workforce under any circumstances, don’t forget who pays the employees working for the Government, why are some citizens backed by the unions greed allowed to rip off other citizens ?

    • John

You hit the nail on the head, how can we as employers (taxpayers) change this horrible state of affairs? This goes for all gubmnt employees, from legislators down to street sweepers, they deserve a competitive wage and benefits but not the Golden Plans which make no sense.

  • GEN . Alexander

Hell with the Unions. They are just leaches, Commie’s, and screwing the country. Union’s and Civil service killed America’s manufacturing. Wonder why the country is falling apart and everything is made in F”N China. Think about it.

  • ConservativeCanuck

Here’s classic example of unions at work… in my province, union dues were collected and the union build a beautiful three story building. The top floor included a walkout balcony with a view of a park for the union president. A couple of years later, while the union was on strike, and the dues paying union members were without a paycheque, the head of the union said he needed a new building? He still got a paycheque while the members were out of work and while they were fighting for their jobs, he wanted to spend their money to build himself a new palace. When union leaders think they are kings, it’s time to get rid of the union or give the workers an option to join the union or NOT.

    • http://?? Joe H.

      Canuck,
Like I have said before, the union doesn’t give a damn about you other than your DUES!!!
