Proper Nutrition Aids Digestive Health

September 21, 2010 by

Proper nutrition aids digestive health Millions of dollars are spent each year fighting kidney stones which can cause major problems throughout the digestive system. Individuals who suffer from this problem often experience significant discomfort and obstructions in their digestive tract.

However, a new study from researchers at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Massachusetts found that a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy — commonly known as the DASH diet, which is used to lower blood pressure — can reduce the occurrence of kidney stones, improving digestive health.

The study also showed promising results for preventing the reoccurrence of kidney stones in individuals who have a history of the condition.

Eric Taylor, who led the investigation, said that previous efforts to reduce kidney stones had focused on foods that can be cut from the diet. However, few had been made to find foods that could aid in the prevention of kidney stones. He said that more research should be conducted in the area.

"We believe our results provide a strong rationale for a randomized trial examining the effect of a DASH-style diet on kidney stone recurrence," he said.

I know this is a preliminary study, but once again it does no good to simply say this helps the condition. What we need is good data, like this helped 60% of people in the study and reduced the occurrence by 35%. This article tells us nothing. If this diet only helps by 2 or 5%, I would not consider changing to it. We need more facts, not broad statements. The media does this all the time, People need good data in order to make rational decisions. We are not stupid, give us numerical results. Thanks

To prevent, reduce, eliminate kidney stones, cancer and the like ….. puree in a blender, cooked or drained canned ASPARAGUS, take 2-4 tablespoons twice a day. Your urine will start to have a pungent odor and a cloudy or yelo-gray color, as time goes on the odor will dissapate and the color will return to normal. Be aware of moving stones and pain that might be associated with that. To clean the whole shebang, brew four individual bags of green tea or one family bag in a 5-QT pan, add a full head of chopped cabbage (stalk removed), 1 large onion, 1 large chopped “non-GMO” tomatoe peeled and seeded to be sure, 6 cloves of garlic, fist-full of chopped parsley, 1-2 tsp.each of thyme and rosemary, 1/8 tsp. ground cloves, 1/2 tsp. turmeric/curcumin, add enough water to cover, boil until tender…. Serve in a bowl and add to the bowl 2-4 tablespoons of the asparagus, 1-2 tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon organic “non-GMO” flaxseed oil (w/no soy oil added) or use extra virgin olive oil. Season to taste with gluten free / GMO free seasonings. Options to add …organic free range chicken chunks … wild caught fish (no farm raised)… thin slice of gluten free / GMO free meatloaf … thin narrow slices of tender steak.
WHY GLUTEN FREE / GMO FREE??? We want to eliminate the toxins, not add to what caused your problem. Why are these toxins in our food??? Population Control…You spend 50 years of your life building up these toxins through food, drugs, vaccinations,(ever hear of the FDA or WHO-WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION) as soon as you start getting your AARP membership cards in the mail at 50, your health starts to fail and your wealth is stripped through health care, then you die young, END OF STORY, no Social Security or Medicare to worry about, they have it down to a science.

P.S. If you find pearls…green, white, blue, black in the toilet, don’t be alarmed, these came from your liver. If you find worms…see your Doctor. If you pass a tumor your Doctor will tell you, “That is not possible”, so bag it and tag it. To stay hydrated drink young coconut water found at Asian Markets or health food stores, it’s much better than Gatoraide or Poweraide and the like.

The food we’re eating today is not enough for proper nutrition! With our soils depleted, spraying pesticides and GMO’s just to name a few. It’s important to supplement our diets in addition to eating more organic whole foods.

My father, Dr Robert Siegel MD for over 50 years passion was the importance of nutrition in relation to immune function, blood sugar regulation, and digestion.

He discovered with over 30 years of research in the aloe vera industry the missing link for so many chronic and acute conditions effecting our immune system and digestive tract. With direct involvement with the pharmaceutical company that discovered the functional component in aloe vera. Aloe has been known to help the digestive tract if it was properly grown, harvested, and then processed. After 3 decades and his own person health problems he developed a product called it Aloe Immune.

In combination with Aloe Immune, another product was added to compliment each other specifically for proper digestion called Flora Immune. These to products are a great one two punch in supporting better immune function and digestion. Check us out at our website. Believe me, Aloe Immune is not just another aloe product, read article “The Importance of Harvesting and Manufacturing Aloe Immune. Thanks for listening.

    Scott S,

Thanks for your info. I take aloe vera juice regularly and did not know the powder/capsule form is thought to be better than the liquid.

I bet you’re going to tell me I cannot buy the Aloe Immune locally and must buy from the website….correct? I prefer to buy locally, so it would be nice if you can provide some local (NM) area places to purchase.

My mom and I wish to create a weblog similar to this for our website, I stumbled across your site trying to get ideas on the theme along with design. I am taking some html coding class while attending college however, not certain that I would be capable of create a blog such as this one at this time. Did you code this site on your own or hire a professional?
