Poll: Only Half Of Americans Believe Obamacare Is Still Law Of The Land

March 8, 2011 by

Poll: Only half of Americans believe Obamacare is still law of the landA new poll shows that almost half of all Americans are either unaware of the status of President Barack Obama's healthcare law or they think it has been repealed.

Although the Affordable Care Act has been deemed unConstitutional by a Federal judge in Florida and repealed by the House of Representatives, the legislation is still the law of the land. However, a new survey conducted by the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation shows that 22 percent of Americans believe Obamacare has been done away with, while 26 percent are not sure of its legal status.

The Kaiser Foundation, in its report that accompanied the poll results, speculated that many people are too busy throughout the day to get the full story about legislative news. Thus, if they hear the word "repeal" on TV or read it in a headline, they may misinterpret the meaning behind it.

Furthermore, the organization said that some partisan wishful thinking may explain why some people think it has been shelved. Approximately 30 percent of Republicans who were surveyed thought Obamacare had been abolished, compared to only 12 percent of Democrats.

According to media reports, a Federal judge in the District of Columbia ruled that the personal responsibility clause in the healthcare law — which mandates that Americans purchase health insurance or face fines — is Constitutional. To date, three Federal judges have upheld the provision, while two have ruled it unConstitutional.

Forcing you to purchase health insurance is unConstitutional! Gee 2,000 plus pages of that crappy bill hoping nobody will take the time to read it, but few people did read it, but they shove it down our throats! Just like some people didn’t take the time to read the Loan docs before they sign and most people don’t bother to read the contracts before they sign it.

      Stan Smith,

I agree with you, nothing should be shove down our throats.I believe health care should be strictly voluntary.

What difference does it make what law is or isn’t in effect? As long as the hit men in the medical system have, pretty much, carte blanc to kill you for money and you keep supporting them and promoting their monpolistic control over delivery of their “stuff” costs can not do anything except continue to skyrocket. The medical system controls the purse strings of research almost completely, inhibits dissemination of information and care deemed not in their interest and hides most of the studies done that report how many the kill and injure ever year with what they do. HIPPAA laws were not set up to protect YOUR information, primarily – but to protect them from you discovering how badly they treat you.
That’s why this country is going broke. Medicine in all its ramifications on how people think and act, function or disfunction and inter-relate or fight with each other raises stress levels to extreme heights, keeps everybody sick but relatively symptom free and paying for thehealth problems of “all those poor souls who can’t afford” (or don’t want) to spend any money on things that positively affect their health.
If you think that’s a hard attitude it ain’t nothing compared to the choices YOU are going to be forced to make down the road as the bottom of this nation falls (is taken apart) away. Once it starts to go it will deteriorate at an accelerating rate and nothing will stop it until you gladly welcome and beg for the imposition of martial law (which will only slow it down). When somebody is fat, dumb and diabetic they’re a disease going someplace to “spread the wealth”.

        • Kate8

Mike in MI – Very well said.

A few years ago my daughter was in an accident and comatose – they didn’t think she’d make it. Yet, I could get NO information from them because she hadn’t signed a release. They treated me as if I were of no importance, because of the HIPPAA. The only way I got any info was because her fiance’s father is a doctor, and he found out for me. I hadn’t considered that it was to protect THEM, in case I questioned what they did.

As an aside, I remember reading once that, when Congress passes a statute (they are NOT laws), WE have 60 days or so to speak out against it, otherwise, by our silence, it is deemed in effect.

We have definitely spoken out over Obamacare. Why has this not come up?

          • Mike in MI

K88 – Obviously… we don’t matter to them! Their attitude is that they are in charge and we’re just outlaws if we don’t agree with them.

They make the laws and we abide by it…or else.
Information to follow about the “…or else”.

        • Dawn

I have to disagree – I believe the reason for our sky-rocketing health care costs is because of lawyers and their constant law suits. The cost of malpractice insurance has to be “trickled down” to the patient. I don’t work in the health care industry by the way!!

          • http://www.cbcofetowah.com/ Mike

Dawn They are both right unfortunatly. I have worked in the healthcare industry. You add the lawyers the unsafe FDA bribed drugs and the goverment run medicaid programs and it all adds up to waste and graft at every turn. A fine example of this is in the section I worked in durable medical equipment. I would qualify a person for a power chair or scooter. We as a company could buy it for 1,400 our cost. Then bill medicare for it at as much as 5,200.Same with beds. We could order the basic frames matresses and such for around 1,900 and then charge the medicare customer as much as 300.00 a month rental. We had beds there that had been rented as much as 20 times and were 8 to 10 years old. They had paid for themselves 1,000 times over. All of these things and many more add up to massive waste and fraud that adds up to higher cost for the avarage consumer. Mike L.

          • eddie47d

Michael; I’m sure you are right yet that is in the past and may or may not be a part of “Obamacare”. It all comes down to Capitalistic gouging where too many people want a piece of the government pie. You just prove that Americans are just as corrupt as those other evil countries. Nobody wants regulations or costly enforcements of the law so the business community turns it into a free for all. Get what you can at the highest price and to heck if it’s ethical or honest. That is why Haliburton or Boeing love those government contracts and the endless money pit. I believe the government should get a backbone and go after these companies and retrieve our hard earned tax money.

          • Mike in MI

Dawn – Dawn, it’s time to wake up. Time to see the light of day.

Have you ever thought…m-m-m-m, considered…m-m-m,been told how our legal system is configured? Lawyers can’t just go to a judge and jury by himself and say he wants Dr. XXX to pay him 33% of a case he plans to file for sombody he needs to find first.

Agrieved, damaged, injured, misdiagnosed, mistreated, abused and otherwise distressed “patients” of some specific Dr. XXX need to present and prove their charges, the nature and the manner they were grieved. Naturally, the doctors don’t like it when their patient is successful.
See medicine has a neat little trick they like to pull: Whenever they are advertizing or solicitting money from anybody their talk goes to/about “Medical Science” and how great they are at it…make it seem infallible as the Pope. But, whenever they are under the gun in court or other questioned position they ALWAYS turn to talk of “the Art of Medicine”…everybody’s different, diagnosis is never final, different skill levels, the patient isn’t fully compliant, you have no idea how hard I “try” (in the five minutes I give each patient), etc.,etc.
People can’t file a case unless they’ve got REASON.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Mike in Mi,
That may be true, but why should a man that is never going to make over 60,000 dollars a year get 50 million for malpractice??? for that matter, what about the lady that sued Micky Ds over hot coffee get 30 million??? now any idiot knows coffee is hot. Every idiot also knows if you place it between your legs and it spills you are gonna get horribly scalded!! So now we have a company paying for someones stupidity!!!

          • Mike in MI

            Joe H. -
Point #1.) -The $60,000 a year guy was probably living pretty well on that amount of money. However, after the Med. Mal. injury he will not be able to obtain health insurance coverage ever again. He’s probably liable to incur repetetive, on-going costs for care and Dr.’s visits, support (possibly rehab., training, medications, in-home nursing care, durable medical supplies, home remodeling for the disabled, etc., etc.), potential for divorce or abandonment by spouse shoots up. He may not be able to work at his old career or make much money ever again. All kinds of imponderables according to the situation – but somebody he trusted with his well-being screwed his life up – bad.
He’s got to pay the lawyer, taxes, fees and collateral expenses. He won’t have a whole lot left to live off probably.
But there’s a deeper issue at work here that you have to learn and think a lot about. How much does science know about biology, chemistry, physics and their intersect with life sciences, nutrition, normal healing, energized mind (faith) healing, quantum theory as it relates to body functions and a huge array of stuff you never dreamed are real and verifiable? They know lots but hold the healthful stuff off the market and away from general knowledge because they make more money by using that information to keep people in the limboland between health and outright disease.
Point #2.) MickeyD is not the same as M(edica). D. However, htere is a point here worth bringing up. The general public who make up the juries has an attitude. The atttude is basically liberal and socilistic in origin such that they hate people who are successful.
MickeyD has been successful and is percieved as having very deep pockets – that “the little guy” should pick every time they get a shot. So, some assinine, cookie-cutter brained bimbo dumps coffee all over the most intelliget part of her anatomy and sees a chanc to make a buck.
It isn’t her fault she succeeded. It should have been called a frivolous suit and thrown out in the gutter. The stupid anti-business/anti-profit/antisocial attitudes of the unAmerican stupenaggles on that jury are to blame…as well as every freeloader, gambler-headed-lotto-brain small time mafioso slitherring down the streets of our cities, towns and countrysides. Something for nothing isn’t honest, ethical, reasonable or real (it’s something dead that wriggled it’s way into the heart of America and is killing her)>

The last year statistics are available for lawsuits shows only one half of one percent of medical costs are caused by this. Rhetoric makes it sound gigantic for political reasons but it does not in reality amount to a hill of beans

Joe, this women did not receive one cent because she spilled this cup of coffee, she got that settlement because the temperature of the coffee was hotter than the law allowed. It if it had been at the legal temperature she would not have been burned and would not have won her case. It is not illegal to spill a cup of coffee but you seem to think because you think it is stupid it should be treated as law when it is not. Your total distortion of the facts is unfortunate but then haters of our legal system like yourself who feel what you believe should be the law rather than what the law really is.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            smiley,
you had better check a little deeper! she was given the money because the cup didn’t have a lable on it that said “caution contents may be extremely hot!” The coffee was just as hot at all the other restaurants in the fast food chains and they also changed their cup when Micky Ds did!!! It was still a corporation having to pay for a customers stupidity!! did you know in a lot of towns it is illegal to drive with a cup of coffee between the legs??? PEOPLE ARE SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW COFFEE IS HOT!! Had it not been, she would have been pissed her coffee was cold!!! Coffee can only be about 210 degrees as if it was any hotter it would be boiling!! more than likely the liquid was only about 190 degrees.

        • RW

Why would healthy people need medicine anyway? Get the best revenge on the medical machine…..get healthy and medicine/drug free. If we all put down the Doritos and Coke and pick up, or better yet, grow and eat the broccoli and apples we will have won the war. They didn’t say “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” for nothing.

          • karolyn

You’ve got that right! Personal responsibility!

          • eddie47d

            Amen RW.

          • Bus

Good point if I’m going to be responsible for everyone’s health care costs, then I want laws against smoking, drinking, McDonalds, food imports from Mexico, etc. etc. Doesn’t make much sense in a free society does it.
The problem with health care costs ARE the insurance companies because having a third party payer goes against all the basic laws of supply and demand. Look at the cost of medical proceedures not covered by insurance (Lasik for example) what happened to the cost before insurance started getting involved? Answer: It was going down.

          • RW

Well, if more laws were the answer we would hardly have to be griping so much, right? It boils down to free will and faith. Free will to make the healthiest choices for your own life and faith that the laws of right living will prevail. Who makes up governments, hospitals, insurance companies, etc,? People, right? Let’s take a closer look at the hypocrisies in our own lives, correct them, and “know” that when enough of us are doing that, the rest must follow.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            RW,
good idea! But while you are at it, ban things like dioxin as that’s what caused my diabetes!!! I’m not over weight, I prepare all my meals, I do drink an occaisonal diet coke so before you go saying all type two diabetes is self inflicted, think about that!!

          • Kate8

Joe H. – Oooooh. Haven’t you heard that diet drinks (or diet anything) are horrible? Aspartame is deadly, and is responsible for all kinds of diseases. You should avoid it at all costs.

I can appreciate your problem with sugar, but artificial sweeteners will cause bigger problems after a time.

          • RW

Seems like my talk of personal responsibility has ruffled your feathers, Joe. Not my intention to place blame for unfortunate events. Chemicals are nasty things. My experience has been that there are hopeful options for those with Type II. Check out this website when not on this one: http://www.rawfor30days.com
I’m a seeker for solutions I can implement in my own life and those I care about, and came across this when a friend was suffering from diabetes. It takes effort, but a vital life is worth it in my opinion.

          • RW

Of course, and healthy people heal a heck of a lot faster. We do what we must…ask for help, come up with solutions, be human, etc. If you mean catastrophic injury…what do you mean what do you do then? You certainly wouldn’t want to give up, would you?

        • Mike in MI

RW – be careful about talking to eddie about “faith”. He equates that with “right thinking”.

The irony of it all ! The majority of voters wanted ObamaCare back in 2008.

Most of them voters thought “Youth in Asia” was a some rock band from China. Wait a few more years ! I figure if your dumb enough to vote for Obama, you deserve “Youth and Asia” aka euthanization …

    • karolyn

Better euthanasia that being kept alive in pain or like a vegetable! Not that the health care plan includes that.

  • s c

Only half of America sees Obummercare for the utterly power-mad crap it is? That figure should be more like 95%. Queen Nancy and Scummy Harry put a little detail in Obummercare that requires money to be spent by the ton (America is broke, Nancy). Only a certifiable, useful idiot, space cadet could have the paranoid gall to say ‘we need to pass the damned thing to see what’s in it.’
A little kid can understand what’s so wrong with Queen Nancy and losers like sleazoid Harry. Obummercare is a power play. It grants undeserved power to a government already gone mad. It enslaves the American people.
Queen Nancy and her bunkies should be glad that Americans don’t make a habit of using instant justice to ‘enlighten’ elected retards. However, as long as Obummer and his cronies plan to destroy America from within, it’s entirely possible that we the people may borrow some social justice tactics and prove to Washington and Washington’s puppet masters that a dead Constitution is more dynamic and protects the American people better than any so-called ‘living Constitution.’
People, let’s see what’s really in it. It’s high time for Queen Nancy and her freedom-hating peers to abdicate. By the way, she needs to pay the bill for abusing that military jet and wasting money on booze and travel at taxpayer expense. Then, she and her kind can get the hell out of America and stay out.

  • David in MA

Not to forget the “earmarks” hidden within other laws to fund this crap! And Speaker Boehner should be getting overloaded with e-mails insisting that the House uphold the Republican promise to repeal obamacare. I realize timing is important but the longer it goes the harder it will be to repeal due to parts of it being implimented. And as far as obaamaa vetoing it, he will not be around to do that….2012 will bring in a new president, a constitutionally qualified president, who will sign to repeal this socialist law! obaamaa was right about hope & change, what he forgot is America is hopeing for change from his BS!

    • Ted Crawford

David, Boehner did what he said he would do! The House has voted to repeal. It’s now in the Senate, where Reid will surly never let it get to the floor for a vote. The E-Mails need to be directed at Reid!

      • Bill

Waste of time. Reid will never change his mind. direct your venom to your senators and represenatives. Tell therm not to fund the health care law, which is really just a big revenue generator. If repeal should ever clear the senate, Obama will certainly veto it. Cut OFF the money!

        • Kate8

Bill – You are right. Reid is a solid corporatist, and will never listen to the people. He can’t if he wants to keep his position.

Many senators have stopped accepting email protests from the people, telling us to SHUT UP. They DON’T want to hear from us.

The other shoe is about to drop, folks. Are you ready?

          • http://www.cbcofetowah.com/ Mike

The other shoe has allready dropped Kate. Its oil and transportation cost. Now you not only dont have a job. You cant afford the cost of driveing to find one. Not only that as a direct result of disel prices riseing. The cost of food and every day essentials is going through the roof. This all equals more and more people forced to rely on welfare and other goverment programs for their basic survival. Add that to control of your healthcare decisions and they own a large % of the american people lock stock and barrell. Btw I did what I said I was going to do and created our churches webpage. Eddie said he had trouble with link on it so just goggle cbcofetowaw.com Its still in progress but sections of it are live now. I think as things worsen here more and more people are going to turn to their local churches for help hope and support. Mike L.

Old Mother Hubbard’s and our country’s cupboards have been sucked dry (to a great extent by the lifetime leeches on the rolls of the Human Serf-vices Offices). Those people have every freebie in a radius of six counties nailed. They know how to turn it into cash and where toget the stuff they want to deal – for a profit. Funny, HuH? They know exactly what is profitable and what %. But, don’t try to tell the socialist lizards anybody else has a fight to gather any – profit that is.

Let them fund the bill. Let them hire the thousands of IRS agents it takes to enforce it. Let them spend all they can, as fast as they can. Make more money, give it away to the slackers, the addicts and the planned parenthoods of the nation. Do everything you can oh great and bulbuous, greedy, consumption machine we call the US Federal Government. Give Nancy her airplane, give Harry his whores, put Schumer in charge of the budget… We won’t be able to fix it until it is completely broken. Any attempt to slow down the death spiral of the government just gives them time to create some innane bridge to a world basket of currencies or some other worthless banker aggrandizing system that will let them suck our blood just that much longer. Poison these parasites with tainted blood (inflated dollars) until they are fat and glutted and we can detach them and step on their useless swollen carcases. Greed has created this mess, let’s let greed solve it. Buy guns, buy food, buy gold, but don’t buy them time by slowing the reckoning we all know is coming. Let’s fix this in our time instead of passing this puss filled sore on to our kids.

    • Bill

That’s all well and good my friend, but you don’t basically understand what is going on here. If Obama is reelected, the USA as a domcratic society will no longer exist. All authority and ownership will pass to the state. Personal freedom will disappear and we will all be drones contolled by Islamic law.

  • LTCMSCUSAR1

When are we going to arrest, try, convict and execute these traiters. Nazi Polosi Heimmie Reid and Osama Obama along with their minions.

  • Richard LaConte

Obamanation health care will never be law of the land.

    • Bill

My friend, I am very sorry to wake you from your long snooze, but it IS the LAW of the land right now!

      • Kate8

Bill – Obamacare is statute, and Act of Congress. It violates the Constitution, no matter how many activist judges say otherwise, and only the Constitution is LAW OF THE LAND.

We CANNOT be bound by statutes that are invalid. We are only if we believe we are. If we could be forced to follow every stupid act Congress comes up with, what kind of Constitution would we have? It would be meaningless.

Oh, wait. Our government already thinks it’s meaningless. Do we agree with them or not?

It is THEY who are criminal.

        Refuse to comply.

        • smilee

What are you going to say if the USSC say other wise and rules that it is constitutional, to date five judges have rules, three for it and two against it and a bunch dismissed it. You can’t claim to know as you just do not know but dream on if it makes you happy

          • Kate8

smilee – Just because a pack of elite puppets with a socialistic agenda say that something is “Constitutional” (knowing full-well that it isn’t) doesn’t make it so. It just makes those declaring that it is TREASONOUS.

THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ACCOUNTABLE TO US, not the other way around. That’s why they’ve never been able to force this on us before now, since now the voice of the people has no relevance to them.

    • Mike in MI

Oh, yes it will, Richard L., in one form or another -

Whether one omnibus bill like O’BOMB’R’Care or a huge number of little pinpricks in our individual freedoms Americans, few at any rate, place enough value on their rights to exercise responsibility in matters of their own health. Then when their disease, injury or medically induced breakdown comes upon them they want everybody else to pay to make them whole, again.
But, medical attentions and intentions have no expectation of making you right – just keeping you “alive” and needing what they can do to you to keep monitoring your vital signs. After they pull the plug they make sure they’re the first in line among the creditors at the reading of the will.

To those of you who think health care should be free and available to all for free I say, “Fine, you’ll get value ofered for value recieved.”

  • tim

Where in the hell do we get these nazi judges. You cannot be forced to buy health insurance. That’s like saying I have to buy a chevy(POS)volt!

  • Raggs

The GOP’s plan was to defund the bill… Well guy’s Fox news reported this morning that there is a clause in the obamanation law that spends $150 billion for the next 8 years to fund the communist care act.. The GOP is saying that sence this clause was in the communist care act bill when it was past the GOP cannot defund it…

    I smell a rat…

    • Bill

Look, all this ranting and raving is getting nowhere! Direct your energies toward VOTING Obama out of office. That will make it possible to repeal the law under ANY republican president. I don’t know what more incentive anyone needs to vote republican than to get rid of Obama and this disaster of a law which is just a tax law. It has little to do with anyone’s health care excep to to deny treatment to non-union taxpayers. There are now more than 1,000 exemptions to the it, some law!?

      • Raggs

Your right Bill, this has nothing to do with health care it is a means of the government to control the private individual.. The government figures if they can get people on a program like this they can pull our strings… And yes we need to vote for a republican president one that will throw the so called law in the ocean where it belongs.. But as I see it we have more RINO’s than anything else so who will be the one to represent the wishes of the people?

    • http://www.cbcofetowah.com/ Mike

Raggs, The rat is collusion between the houses of power my friend. Its giant fuzzy and hidden in plain sight but people still dont see it as a rat. They see whichever party represents its head. But they cant see what the tail is doing while its hid in its hole. Mike L.

So the freeloaders and those given give-away “entitlements” helped themselves. Why not…everybody else was doing it – besides, it was “free-gratis” and the well just filled itself all the time, a never ending flow from a source that couldn’t be plumbed and couldn’t be stanched.
Pretty soon, those who’d been doing pretty good and could freely enjoy what they EARNed found they didn’t have so much to be able to “freely enjoy”…not quite as much “freedom to do as they wanted”. Later on, they found THEY needed a little help to make it. Soon, they found the way to that well, too, and took just a “little dip”.
Finally, some unseen hand closed the unseen spigot, the well ran dry and government couldn’t reduce the great levels of needs and needy. So, then they had to try to fill the hole themselves by their own devices and found people to explain that it was, “Okay, everything is fine. Just look around everything looks and seems to work as WELL as it always has. Right? The only thing we’ll have to do is make a few more rules and help the people decide who gets what, how much, how often and where current plans will…may…make it available. Is that a problem?”
Course not!! Anyone would be foolish to think so.

This rat you smell is Queen Nancy who is one smart lady. The best we can do now is to fall in line behind Michelle Bachman in her efforts to get this money back. We can’t declare President Obama unconstitutional because he was born in Kenya. We can’t defund Obamacare, which has already been declared unconstitutional by the lower federal courts, because Queen Nancy had the foresight to write the funding into the bill. It is no wonder she said not to read it until it passes, then find out what’s in it. We certainly found out what’s in it. We can line up behind Congresswoman Bachman and ask for our money back, though that might be like asking for our taxes back after they have already been paid.

    • Kate8

Who says they CAN’T defund it. Just because it contains a clause…if laws had any meaning it couldn’t have passed in the first place.

How is it that a stupid clause supercedes the LAW?

Because they are picking and choosing what they want to call Law. If the WHOLE THING is unConstitutional, then so is the funding clause.

  • JJM

How can it take so long to find the $105 B attached to the bill? Such major legislation must be read and understood by most prior to a vote, rather than providing 3000 pages pages this morning and voting today! In fact, with today’s communication capabilities, the citizens should have immediate major vote and veto power in all these activities rather than waiting years for elections and repeals.
Strengthen and organize the states, then eliminate the current fed and restart it with the 1776 intents of small fed and limited powers.

  • http://charter howe

In light of the 105 billion dollar discovery, I would think that an Investigation should be conducted for the purpose of impeachment proceedings against Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid for violating the trust of Congress and WE THE PEOPLE with the future expenditures of taxpayer money without a proper and open vote by all parties without even allowing CBO or most others know that we had to come up with the money in future years and being aware of the killer deficit, still went ahead and rung up the cash register on the taxpayers on the sneak. The bill was written in non-sensicle legalize to the extent that the 2500 page bill had to be read and then you had to jump around to numerous sections to understand the relationship of the funding to realize it was a covert way of selling the bill to the majority of the democratic Congress people, some who did not even know it was in the bill. No republicans voted for the bill. I think the discovery of unfunded liabilities on the order of 105 billion is a criminal act of negligence of the highest order. We have a clear choice, we either sweep these sleazy democrats out of congress or become a bunch of zombie commies who will lose our freedoms and when the rich leave the country with the money and the jobs our kids will be living the life of a slum bum with no opportunity to work.

What are you going to do when they pull the ages old gambit of threatening you, you take exception and resist or some small reprisal, they get reacted against, take their own reprisals, imprison a few, kill a few and confiscate everything you’ve got to pay fines, penaltes, court costs and “salting fees” for the dope and weapons they’ll “find” among your earthly goods? It’s the way of communists and top->down systems worldwide.

Bachmann is now amongst fact checkers regarded as the biggest lair in the house. This is pure rhetoric, she hopes enough people will believe her lies as it fits their biases and shows their lack of concern for the truth

I think it’s silly when people get all riled up, spewing angry words and foretelling doomsday, yet likely do nothing to create positive change or use their anger to get passionately involved in making a difference in the world. How’s your health?

    • Kate8

RW – Many of us are doing everything possible as provided within our system. Our government is not listening. Anger is a result of frustration and futility.

What do YOU suggest we do next?

      • RW

Governments don’t listen….people listen, when they’re ready to hear. And sick people don’t typically have the energy to create change. Governments prefer their subjects weak and dependent. How about being the best example of healthy living you can be, so that those around you will want to emulate your vitality? How many people in your circle of community take government sanctioned drugs? You? Forced health care only works when there is an abundance of sick people. Eat non-gmo, organic meat and vegetables. Get out and walk in nature daily. Spend time alone in meditation daily. Dedicate yourself to being the healthiest version of you. Stored anger and frustration are contrary to good health. Engage in these activities instead of negative thoughts and expression and see if that doesn’t get us all to the very place we want to be….free!

        • http://www.cbcofetowah.com/ Mike

Well said. But hard for some to follow. Mike L.

          • RW

Yep, Mike, I know. Personal responsibility is always harder than pointing a finger. But, we can try to keep our focus on improving our own lives with our own free will and eventually we get there. I’m hopeful. One positive change at a time. BTW, coffee exhausts the adrenal glands:)

        • Kate8

RW – You are preaching to the choir with me on that one. I do not use allopathic medicine – haven’t for over 30 years, and do not intend to – ever! (The only exception is for emergency care. I’m no good at surgery or stitches.)

Congress has turned a deaf ear to our protests for non-GMO foods. No news there. They are rapidly contaminating all crops, too, so pure organic produce will soon be non-existent.

BTW, for years I’ve put up with beliefs about the evils of coffee, and go for long periods without, only to reach for it when I need a quick boost of energy. Then, before you know it, I’m drinking it every day. But I’ve solved the issue for me. I decided to LOVE coffee. Now I feel good about it, and have a morning cup or two and thoroughly enjoy it.

I believe that if we do the best we can with what we have in life, and just LOVE it and bless it, it brings it to a higher vibration and into harmony with health. We take everything too seriously, and don’t get to enjoy anything. That’s not healthy, either. Everything in existence is made of the same elements. Just LOVE everything and will it to be good. (That’s the best way I know to foil the evil plans of the PTB.)

          • RW

Preaching to the choir, right back at ya:) I suppose that has been my point so far. Love, positive attitude, faith, gratitude. A lot of what I’m reading is blaming and full of futile energy.
And be grateful for coffee…it is a lovely thing. Just be aware that if you’re “using” it for a boost, then it becomes drug-like. Why do you need a boost? Are you getting enough sleep? Eating lots of veggies? Maybe growing some of your own organic ones? Again, point being, keep the focus on right living and those around you will follow sooner or later. Patience is required:)

          • Kate8

RW -Yep, yep and yep. I worked for years in alternative health, so it’s been a main focus for me.

Actually, I got out of it several years ago because I wanted a NEW focus – WELLNESS. When we’re around so many sick people, we tend to focus on illness. That only creates more illness! While that is lucrative for some, it doesn’t solve the problem!

Now I pay no attention to an ache or pain here and there, bit or little. If I feel too uncomfortable, I focus on opening and freeing my energy channels, take some extra oxygen, and I’m ususally good to go. Einstein said that energy medicine would be the healing modality for these times, and he was right. This includes many things, but primarily it’s about the heart (opening it) and, like you said, feeling gratitude and LOVE. LOVE is the only true healing power, and without it there is no true healing.

This is true for us, true for the world, and true for all of creation.

          • Kate8

BTW, RW, when I need a “boost”, it’s usually because I have a lot of extra work to do that I am not very enthusiastic about.

Yes, it’s a crutch. Ain’t it great that we have it!

          • RW

I agree. Very hard to be the light amidst the darkness. And equally hard to love the things in life that aren’t easy to love. But, a worthy mission! Let’s love the mistakes we are all making, learn from them, and transform them through this love/acceptance. These words will often come across as hippy- dippy, particularly to those who are caught up in finding the cerebral answers to societal problems. But, answers are usually much simpler and more universal than our brains want to believe.

          • Kate8

RW – The issue of LOVE is a rather abstract one to most of us. We don. I’t really know what it means so we say “yeah” and skip it. Yet, it is the GREATEST Commandment!

It’s taken me years of contemplation to even start catching a glimpse of what it is. It is not an emotion, but it can evoke emotion. The closest I can come is that it is LIFE itself, the energy force that creates and holds all things in perfect order, that allows us the freedom to create whatever world we choose to play in…it is seeing every other person, everything, as ourselves…it is the awe we experience when we ponder the infinity of the universe…the Divine Intelligence that is in all things and knows how to heal all things, and so much more that words can’t describe.

We may not be able to “feel” love for some, but we can love LOVE, God, and the sheer mystery of it all. We can love and honor goodness and all good things. We can love the world we desire to experience…

If love is not in us these things evoke contempt. But this is the ONLY thing that will save us. Yeshua said to have “nothing in common” with evil. This means that we become LOVE so that we don’t resonate with it. Then it can’t harm us.

You are right. We won’t win through anger. We win by being better.

        • Mike in MI

          RW _
How long you going to stay healthy in prison for resisting in some way you don’t even know is against the law by regulatory decree or presidential directive?

          • RW

I guess as long as I choose the healthy perspective/state of mind and don’t let others’ actions define me. I’ve heard of many unhealthy spirits transforming in prison. Many of us live in the “prison” of painful thoughts and emotions and walk unincarcerated not even recognizing the walls we have erected for ourselves. Life can be maddening or infinitely joyous…..all about attitude. That’s my Pollyannish view:)

          • RW

Example: I run a small business. Recently got sued by former long-term employees who acted badly. Bogus lawsuit, claiming the latest trend in litigation…denied breaks. Completely false claims and although they settled for a very small amount, I ended up having to pay a chunk in attorney fees. Don’t like it, but I could let it get me “out of my mind” angry at the injustice, or I could continue to be the best human I know how to be and let others see that no matter how big their mistakes are (greed, deception, envy, etc.) I will not change my values, I will forgive, and I will continue to transform pain into wisdom. I guarantee that they do not sleep well at night, but I hope they learned from their bad choices and see that I represent the way of inner peace.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            RW,
sorry, I was believeing you till you gave me that no sense of being wronged bit!!! you will never make me believe that you don’t feel some anger over that since your first name isn’t Dali!!!

          • RW

Actually, I did say I was wronged. just said I chose not to live in the emotion of anger. I felt anger (mostly toward their lawyer, who if he’d paid any attention to their case, probably wouldn’t have taken it in the first place), but I mostly felt disappointment and sadness for the sullying of a relationship we’d had for as long as fourteen years. But, if I’d chosen to stay engrossed in anger, sadness, and betrayal it would only be hurting my own psyche. BTW, my first name is Theresa, so you can attribute my philosophy to another honorable figure if you like:) haha

  • Ted Crawford

I’m reminded of what Thomas Jefferson stated in this regard, “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.”
If we are to keep, let alone restore, our repersentative republic, we will have to devote a little less time to entertainment and much more time to involvement with our politics.
A large portion of that it seems will have to be devoted to re-educating ourselves. There are still people who do not know that Clinton was impeached, not understanding the workings of the Constitution!

  • jopa

Even if the HCB was repealed the taxpayer will be paying billions for the uninsured through their very expensive ER visits where they cannot be denied health care.A few deadbeats in this country not wanting to pitch in a little for everyone’s health care is costing the working man megabucks. If every one paid a little no one pays a lot.One more point to make is falling in line with Bachman the lady who passed a bill without reading it first.Who is the problem here. She is the true meaning of a fruitcake.PS I did at one time like fruitcake but not anymore.

    • Bill

That’s fine, if the various states want to do that under a system that benefits them. They will not be suporting a multi-billion dollar beaurocracy, a thousand man health care army, higher taxes, and free care to ALL Muslims!

    • karolyn

Speaking of, I saw Bachmann being interviewed on Sunday and she was like a wooden Indian. She had one expression on her face – glum. She would not even respond when repeatedly asked if she had said that President Obama was anti-American and that we have a terrorist government. Typical politician. Say one thing to make points with constituents and then backpedal. Just like Huckabee with the Natalie Portman pregnancy issue.

      • Kate8

karolyn – Michelle Bachmann has taken so much abuse from the press. It’s bound to get to her after a while. They are brutal.

I don’t believe she is back-pedaling, but I’m sure she has gotten threats from the PTB because of her stance. That’s the only way she’d back down.

No one is allowed to defy Obama, or speak against him. Hardly anyone does anymore. I’m sure she’s been traumatized and demoralized. Any person can only take so much. It seems that any people who go to DC to stand up for the people end up getting an attitude adjustment.

        Look what happened to Giffords.

Did you know that the local fact checkers on TV here in MN keeping exposing her as always lying, they just did a fact check on the $105 billion dollars she claims was just discovered and was snuck into the bill without anyone knowing it when in fact they proved she knew about it when she voted on it as she then complained about it as reckless spending. Wake up lady, she is pulling your leg.

Mike in MI, what in the heck do you think Onumnutts Nocare is, it is a monopistic group of beltway dinks who will determine if you are worth giving a flu shot. When you start whining about fuel and transporation costs, thank the marrxist.communist democrat socialists who will not let us use our crude and tell the rag heads to go back to their oats. Taxes the government collets off of oil is way more than what the oil companies make, and they still have to pay state taxes, permits, and operations costs from their share. So if the purple lipped marxist muslim thinks the green crap will replace crude, all you mental midgets had better check facts. It has shades of tobaco tax crap, government makes tons of money on taxes, which state profit with their taxes besides. Ehen some state made casinos tobacco free zones. in the first month revenues dropped over 80% and business were closing. I don’t like smoking, but when idoits think they can nannie manage adults, get a grip. If the slub book trained idoit “experts” really understood business models, we should be bringing all the oil on line as fast as possible, think of the tax revenues and jobs created. Since inflation is headed down therunway., Onumnutts and his soros socailists democrats will go down in history making Carter look like a micro brain surgeon. Hope people like eating grasss and dog crap 3 times a day, dog food costs are going up @5 cents a can, and with no jobs, get a clue. This isn’t the dirty 30′s, it is the wet 10′s when food and jobs should be plentiful.

Get you s–t facts in the right order you Onumnutt jock strap hanger. Sen Bacus was the s–t bird who after meeting with the marxist muslim moron, put in muslim don’t have to purchase healthcare. • chuckb

141, not only he (obama)never read the healthcare bill, 99% of the democrats voting for this bill did either. this bill does nothing except collects more tax for the government, cuts back the quality of medical care you will receive and extends the power of government into your life. i have tried to read thru this bill and i can understand why these democrats or bolsheviks can’t understand it. barry hasn’t a clue, the string masters want a single payer like the european and canadians do. they know what a failure that is and how much the government saves by the lack of care it produces.

  • jopa

Well now that we have established that nobody in Washington read the bill who the heck wrote it? Must have been Romney because he looks like he has some intelligence. Now we have to call this HCB Romneycare.Perhaps not now but in the near future he will love to have his name attached to one of the greatest pieces of legislation ever to come out of Washington.Remember you heard it here first.Thank you.

Why not address all the job losses in this country which directly impacted millions of Americans from even having access to health care. Today, you’d be hard up to find a good health insurance plan since a good number of these businesses and companies have switched over to cheaper minumum care plans; plans, that block you from ever receiving services for things like cancer or heart attacks//strokes.
With plans like this, Your next better choice would be to contact a local mortuary or maybe look up Dr. Kavorkian directly.

    • Mike in MI

Cathy – I will address it: B. Soetoro and NWO Friends; 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.; Washington, DC

There. It’s addressed. The people and spirits behind Obama and his NWO friends have been telling us since(first I saw any of it) the first Earth Day back in, what?, 1970(?). They told us in some pamphlets they were going to start releasing our basic industries overseas ’cause we didn’t need them anymore. We were going to be made into the world’s first service industry economy in the Universe…because all that dirty industry was “unfair and unjust and…(ugh, yuk) responsible for us being so warlike and bellicose to our friends in the ‘family of nations’”.

I don’t think anyone should be denied healthcare because of a pre-existing condition. …And, because insurance companies are allowed to do this, abuse is rampant. How is a broken leg a pre-existing condition?? A lady had to fight and fight to get that paid. A system that allows that kind of corruption is rediculous.

  • chuckb

modi. do you think everyone is responsible for your actions, you don’t carry insurance until something goes wrong then run out and buy a policy. so how long do you think insurance companies stay in business operating under those circumstances. why would anyone buy insurance if that be the case. we have welfare for the unfortunate ones and many abuse that.

  • JUKEBOX

I wonder if those dumb masses they polled realize that Obama, Reid & Pelosi hid over $105 billion in appropriations in that bill, and that Secretary Sebilius testified yesterday that they double counted over $500 billion in alleged savings. That amounts to over $600 billion of fraud by the Obama administration, and they make Bernie Madoff look like a small time misdemeanor offender.

According to media reports, a Federal judge in the District of Columbia ruled that the personal responsibility clause in the healthcare law — which mandates that Americans purchase health insurance or face fines — is Constitutional.

I don’t believe anyone should be forced to buy anything. I buy insurance to protect me and my family. I don’t believe I should have to pay for FREE health care for some cheap sob who expects everyone else to pay for him. If you are too stupid to buy some kind of health insurance, suffer the consequences.

    • RW

Stupid or smart….depends on your perspective. I am 43 years old and have not paid a single dollar for insurance in my life. I did sprain my ankle last year playing soccer with my son, but i paid out of pocket for some acupuncture treatments and did the ususal protocol of ice, elevate, rest,….and of course good nutrition. Hobbled around on crutches for a few weeks. Probably cost me a few hundred dollars in total, far less than premiums I would have paid for the last 20 years accumulated. My son has had a couple of mishaps..again, nothing unaffordable out of pocket. BTW, i don’t live in a plastic bubble. I am active and participate in many enjoyable activities. Luck or coincidence…perhaps, but I certainly don’t feel stupid for not paying into a system that has does nothing for me.

      • RW

Also, have never been to an emergency room and rarely to a doctor’s office, so I have not partaken of anyone else’s dollars.

        • RW

But, I guess in truth, I have paid lots in insurance. As an employer I have both business insurance, (never filed a claim), and worker’s comp (only claims have been employee maternity leave), and car insurance (haven’t been in an accident in nearly 20 years and that was a fender bender). Wow, I am pretty lucky! Lots of wasted money though:(

        • http://?? Joe H.

          RW,
I have been lucky to have had insurance all my adult life. I’ve had two surgeries on my back, both were needed, even I could see the problems on the MRIs. The first surgery cost over a hundred thousand dollars and I spent 50 days in the hospital as I got a staph infection in the incision! The second cost about 50 thousand dollars and I was in about 9 days. I have stenosis, a narrowing of the cord canal. my father had it and my grand father had it as well! they tell me that mine will probably go till I am in a wheelchair! I also have about seven other buldging discs, so I for one am very glad I had insurance as I have never paid as much as I have used!!
