Political Connections With Other Countries

December 30, 2010 by

The United States now has hundreds of military bases and tens of thousands of troops stationed around the globe. U.S. State Department cables released by WikiLeaks reveal that U.S. diplomats pressure foreign governments to do the bidding of U.S. corporatocracy, and threaten retaliation if they don’t comply.

This is a far cry from the type of foreign policy our Founders envisioned.

In a 1775 letter to Patrick Henry, George Washington wrote: "My ardent desire is, and my aim has been… to comply strictly with all our engagements foreign and domestic; but to keep the United States free from political connections with every other country. To see that they may be independent of all, and under the influence of none. In a word, I want an American character, that the powers of Europe may be convinced we act for ourselves and not for others; this, in my judgment, is the only way to be respected abroad and happy at home."

Instead, the U.S. is a servant of its global corporatist masters and is neither respected abroad nor happy at home.

We need a leader willing to step up and begin to disengage us from foreign entanglements.

Hmm can you say colonization anyone. Sure you can its spelled MONEY.It all comes down in the end to protecting our intrest in forign oil. Amoungst a few other things. The answer is drilling here of course but we cant dirty up all the greenies lands here. Lets try to clean our own house for a change and leave these other countries to fend for themselves a while. Mike L.

    • Carole Howell

What do you mean ‘protecting our oil interests’? Who here owns an oil company? Not me. Let me tell you, those oil rich nations are more than happy to sell their oil to anyone willing to buy it. The problem with SH, who was helped into power by the CIA, was that he Nationalized Iraq’s oil.

Everything from power plants, water processing plants, roads, education to Health Care for the people of Iraq, were all paid for by Iraqi oil, they did not pay taxes for these services.

What’the powers that be’ were concerned about….

#1 -was that the big western oil conglomerates (Mobile, Dutch Shell, BP etal)was, they could not make as big a profit, unless they had the same deal with Iraq as they have with Saudi Arabia(the leaders there do not care as much for their own people). SH may have been corrupt, but he was not corrupt enough, his people and country meant more to him. Iraq was #1 in the Arab world (before the 1st Gulf War) in these areas. They were the freest, most educated, had the highest standard of living or all the Arab world. Could practice any religion of their choice, Women could go to college, work, own businesses, practice medicine or law. Hey! they could own and DRIVE cars, dress as they pleased. Both Sharia Law and Slavery was against the law in Iraq. Not so in the lands of our so-called allies in the region.

#2 they fear for this kind of thinking to spread (the sale of the natural resources in any country going to the betterment of the people in those countries.

Just imagine for a moment, the American people, or you yourself not having to pay any Federal taxes at at all? What if the Americans people got wind of this arrangement and demanded the same thing here, heaven forbid.(just imagine, free college educations and health care for all)

That is also why the American People are being brainwashed to hate Chevez, he has Nationalized Venezuelan Oil. The proceeds going to raise up the masses from the most horrible poverty, schools, hospitals. He has also paid off the IMF lones for other S. American countries.

And I would like to say this to all the pro and con people who argue about “Global Warming” ” Climate Change” what a lot of wasted time and what a lot of division, what a lot of distraction.

The real and most important question is…..Is smog healthy for humans to breathe? Anyone think it is healthy? giggle giggle. Of course there may be an idiot here or there. But most of us know Smog is very unhealthy to breathe. We should be switching to cleaner energy as quickly as we can for that reason alone (clean Air). The rest of the world is making wonderful head way, while we are left here in the dust…er….smog. LOL But really, Global warming/climate change arguments are just another way to divide and distract.

We are so manipulated. Just like cutting taxes during war time was never done before in the world by any country ever before in history until Bush. It was disastrous for our nation. (countries usually raise taxes to pay for war) But every other possible argument was made, except the one that was the real problem. We ignore what is in front of our faces and argue about other nonsense. Think about it. No wonder the rest of the world thinks we are insane. They scratch their heads and laugh and laugh, some caring people also cry for us.

      • Tom Key

@ Carole Howell – I deeply appreciated your presentation of facts. Limned with an accurate memory, your thinking seems untainted by ideological cant. You are one of the few who stand up against the manipulations of the powerful.

No matter how repetitive the bloviators, people are still roughly 40% liberal, 40% conservative, and 20% seasonal nomads, and all of us trying to find and act upon our interests in the course of moving from crisis to crisis. In these shifting winds your voice is among those that are a breath of fresh air.

Carole, The part of Protecting Our Intrest was said toung in cheek. I fully understand that the intrest being protected is the oil company intrest not ours. Mike L.

Never happen, thier all too power hungry

  • Dorothy Jones

We need to get our politicians to be against getting involved in forereign affairs and stop giving all these countries millions and billions of dollars. The Presidents only job is to protect our country from forereign invasion and attacks not dictate to the people of this country and sell us out. We the people need to get the 112th congress to be against getting involved in forereign affairs, stop any money or funding to all forereign countries, and get us out of the United Nations.

    • Pat R

The only way that anything can be accomplished is to join and get involved with the Republic for the united States. This re-inhabited
original de Jure government is the ONLY hope we will ever have to regain
      control of this great nation.

    • Carole Howell

      Dorthy Jones,
You will have to pay them more than they get from the Multi national corporations that are paying them now…or…..we the people need to lobby for laws to get publicly financed elections and get the corporate money cut off. Then and only then will our politicians do the bidding of the people in this country.

The way it stands now other countries can pay them to pass legislation that is in their best interest. We have a very sick government now, they serve whoever pays them. As long as they are doing this, they should not get paid one cent of our hard earned tax money.

I do not want to hear that stupid argument that comes from our MSM, that it is a free speech issue, it is not, it is a $$$$$ issue. A corporation is not a person. But every person who works for that corporation has the same free speech rights the rest of us have. Free speech is FREE, NOT PAID FOR.

  • Hank Henry

A good start to saving us lots of money would be for the USA to get out of the UN and get the UN out of the USA.

    • Carole Howell

      Hank Henry,

We do not need to get out of the UN, we need to get out of the business of other countries. The UN is not a bad idea.

Our Troops fight for corporate interests. They fight and die, invade and slaughter people in small countries, so corporations can steal the oil under their soil, or of course any other mineral that Multi national corporations covet. Cause notice, Dutch Shell and BP are not American companies, but they are in Iraq pillaging.

  • roy martinez

Dorothy you are right on !!!!!! what this character in our white house is doing is destroying our gerat nation and our economy.the real sad fact it that when we vote him out of office, it will be lift up to us to undo all the damage he and his littlt minions have caused.we should all take note and always get involved and vote. what a hell of mess we have on out hands now !!!!

    • Carole Howell

      Roy Martinez,
Obama is following the same course the Bush Admin did. Notice? Come on, get real. It does not matter who is in the WH. They are all bought and paid for, if they do not take the $$$$, then they or their family are threatened. That is how far we, as a nation have fallen.

To save ourselves and our future, we the people must unite and take the power away from the corrupt and down right evil people who weld the power here now. The best way of doing that is by publicly financed elections.

Let me give you an example of just how corrupt this nation is. The
      U S Justice Department
under the Reagan administration (matters not who is in the WH) actually stole a software invention owned and created by a company called INSLAW owned by people named Hamilton. THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE OF THE UNITED STATES think of it. The name of the software was PROMIS.
First of course the Hamiltons were approached by an official of the GOV (forgot the man’s name but can get it) offering to buy the software, they did not want to sell, they were told we have ways of making you sell. They took the government to court after they were forced into bankruptcy, because the government refused to pay the bill they accrued with this company (millions of dollars)they won in court, twice.

This criminal act grew and grew exponentially, dozens of people were murdered because of this act, (to cover it up of course).

Unbelievable you say, it is all documented in many books. The last one I know of is ‘THE LAST CIRCLE’ by Carol Marshal. It is all connected to CIA running drugs to pay for their covert operations, about the Oct Surprise, and about the connection to the Cabazon Indian Reservation outside of Indio, CA. Where some weapons were being built and sold to many 3rd world nations illegally, they used the Indian Reservation because Reservations are sovereign nations inside this nation. The Cabazon Reservation is where the PROMIS software was altered by a man named Micheal Reconosciuto (hope his name is spelled corectly). Many of the laws broken were committed by people in high offices of our Gov. very high offices over the years.

The Justice Department has been a bed of corruption ever since, and right up to today and Eric Holder. Check out his number 2 man, David Margolis and the crimes he has helped cover up for the government for 41 years.

I have been following the INSLAW case off and on for many years now. It grows.

VOTE??? Hell, your voting is a waste of time. The Elders pick the candidates long before the elections.

    • Carole Howell

You are very correct. That is the way it is and has been for so long. JFK was our last real president, all after him have been puppets, they had some trouble with Tricky Dick and so they set him up and got rid of him.

SM, if you’re talking about your ‘God’ [Obummer], you’re absolutely right. However, if you’re just another bored, space cadet progressive or a legend in your own mind, you have not a clue.
First, there is no such word as “usless.” Second, your use of the word ‘bore’ is wrong. The word is properly spelled ‘boar.’
You should have something to say, and then say it. Whatever your problem is, you failed, chum.
Kindly keep your kids out of public school. It obviously didn’t do anything for you. Your leaders want us to believe that throwing billions of dollars at a problem will solve it. They never had a clue. They’ll never have a clue. Odds are that you’ll never have a clue.

  • David A

What everyone forgets is that obama is and always will be a muslum. He set his goal to that of khamani to destroy us from within by destroying our economy, our money system and distributing our debt round the world

    • Lewis Munn

Yes, Obama shows by his actions where his heart and mind are.

    • Carole Howell

      David A,

The truth is more powerful than lies, maybe you do not know you are passing on lies. For Heavens Sake man, he went to a Christian Church for years, 21? Muslims are not permitted to do that, just like Catholics are not permitted to join any other church, if known, you will be excommunicated.

If he was a Muslim, so what, we have freedom of religion in this country for crying out loud.

The fact he is paying off other governments to drop criminal charges against Bush/Cheney and others is far more important to us than our Presidents choice of religion, Damn man. More ridiculous manipulation and division, can’t you see?

If you do not know the truth, get it. Lies do not help your cause.

  • Lewis Munn

    Sean Moor,

Obviously you neither read unbiased materials, nor have really tried doing things God’s way, and seeing how He lives up to His promises!

Or maybe you have confused Obama with God.

Either way, your statement is wrong. Ask any real practicing Christian, and make sure you ask a real one, not the many hypocrites out there.

  • JoeUSA

    Sean Moor

You will some day soon find out how and what God is and is not.

No, that is not a threat, that is a guarantee, the second you die.

  • Carole Howell

    That is your belief.

  • Sandi

Yes, George Washington was a true countryman and leader. I suspect our founders would never have imagined our scientific accomplishments either. The ease those accomplishments give us to communicate. My question; what kind of corporatocracy compliance is referred to? It leaves one wondering what exactly is this all about? It sounds like some shenanigans one way or the other. Who’s to know for sure? However if the information WikiLeaks released is true and in some way illegal, immoral or will cause the American people to suffer, I would be disappointed with our leaders. Not that I’m not already! Therefore if true, this would be just another example that our leaders have lost touch with our way of life and the steady push toward one world order will continue regardless of political affiliation. Perhaps the vision is for all people to live in peace under one rule for all that inhabit the planet. That sounds like something out of a science fiction movie, doesn’t it? I’d be willing to bet; back in 1775 our technology today would have sounded like science fiction too. The fact is I do believe the world leaders think they have our best interests in mind, even though our sacrifices to society as we know it, will be as the global government dictates. Our standard of living will be diminishing and our rights regulated. As they are now for the commoner and freedom only for those in power or that have the power to influence. For example: don’t pay your taxes and see what happens. In our faces many times by our leaders where there message is clear, “Do as I say do, not as I do”. Laws are made for the commoner, not the elite. Trusting our government is becoming increasingly difficult for this very reason.

Does anyone feel safer with a constant military presence all over the world? Does it make America a better or safer country?
You’d think the whole world was immediate danger, and that an eternal, American military presence was the only thing holding the world together. BLAH!
How is it possible that we can have a Congress and two airheads in the White House who refuse to believe that WWII and Korea ended a long time ago?
Our “leaders” make puppets seem like a higher life form.
Those Christmas commercials you saw on TV recently should be telling you something, people (men and women in many countries). The LAST thing we need to be concerned with is in keeping our military overseas. We can’t protect our own borders, and yet the geeks in the White House and the skunks in Congress want us to believe they deserve to be in Washington.
If they’re cleaning toilets for minimum wage, then the answer is YES. If they’re pretending to be leaders while they cheerfully condemn us to generational slavery and poverty, then the answer is NO!
