ROSWELL, N.M., Oct. 12 (UPI) — Police in New Mexico said they arrested a woman accused of posting a Craigslist ad saying she was looking to purchase marijuana.

Roswell Police said Anamicka Dave, 29, put a posting on the Web site explaining she was new to the area and looking to purchase marijuana, KOB-TV, Albuquerque, reported Wednesday.

“I was surprised, I was really surprised that someone would actually put on there they were looking for weed, an actually illegal product, to the fact that I called my boss to make sure it wasn’t one of our guys trying to do a reverse sting,” Sgt. Ty Sharpe said.

Police said they communicated with Dave via text messages while posing as a potential seller. Officers arranged to meet Dave in a parking lot and she was placed under arrest.

Dave was booked on a charge of criminal solicitation.
