Police: Thief Stole From Walmart Store Twice In One Day

OCALA, Fla., (UPI) — Police in Florida said they were trying to identify a woman who stole a flat screen TV from a Walmart and then attempted to repeat the crime at the same store.

The Ocala Police Department said a woman took a 46-inch Sony flat screen TV, priced at $448, from the Walmart in Ocala around 1:35 p.m. April 14 — then returned later in the day wearing different clothing and attempted to leave the store with a 50-inch Samsung flat screen TV.

Police said when a loss prevention officer confronted the woman she attacked him with her feet, elbows and fingernails, leading him to give up trying to detain her.

Police said they were trying to identify the woman from surveillance camera footage.
