WAUWATSOA, Wis., Dec. 9 (UPI) — Police in Wisconsin said they arrested eight teenagers, ages 13-19, after they allegedly stole nearly $2,100 worth of clothing from Macy’s.

The Wauwatosa Police Department said the group took the merchandise from the Macy’s at the Mayfair Mall in Wauwatsoa around 8:30 p.m. Friday and fled on a Milwaukee County bus, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Thursday.

The bus was stopped and investigators found numerous pieces of designer clothing with tags still attached concealed under the seats of the vehicle.

A prisoner transport van was brought to the parking lot to take the suspects into custody.

Police said the group rode another bus earlier in the evening and a teenager kicked out a window and stole a stack of transfer slips.

Most of the suspects were released to their parents, police said.
