On Monday, health officials throughout the United States were working to identify victims of a rare form of meningitis spread to unsuspecting patients throughout the Nation by contaminated steroid injections.

The Centers for Disease Control believes that about 13,000 patients may have been exposed to the three lots of the steroid methylprednisolone acetate which was recalled from the New England Compounding Center Inc. in Framingham, Mass.

The CDC reported 105 cases in nine States on Monday, up from 91 cases on Sunday. According to the CDC, people who received the steroid injections between May and September in the following States may be at risk for the infection: California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Texas and West Virginia.

The steroid shot reportedly was given to patients most often for relief of back pain.

NEEC, a pharmaceutical compounding company, was previously the subject of safety complaints and has suspended operations pending investigation.

How do you accidentally taint a steroid with meningitis? How do you accidentally taint anything with meningitis? Welcome to the “new” healthcare system. Where the government forces shortages by limiting the production of drugs and what you can get may or may not be contaminated. Right here in America. Next on the agenda…doctor shortages because they can’t get paid what it costs them to do business.

    • rb

And yes the USDA is forcing drug shortages by establishing quotas for drugs that can be manufactured. Each year drug companies estimate what they will need to manufacture and the USDA does not allow them to produce any more than what their estimate was should there be a higher demand.

      • ck

Not only are they inducing shortages they are assisting generic companies to raise their prices nearly as high as as the brands are. first they run the brand company out of business, then they manufacture a shortage, then come back out with the same drug, but at a price that is sometimes 1000 times higher than it was before. Colchicine is a good example It used to cost 10 cents a tablet, now it costs $1.50 per tablet. name brand companies are no better. its all about the almighty dollar.

      • ck

i’m a pharmacist. its easy to get an injectable tainted. in their case they bought a diluting substance from another company that already had a common everyday fungus in it.

      • Nancy in Nebraska

ck, WHY would a rare strain of meningitis even BE at a compounding facility?!? Are they suggesting(?) that an employee HAD this rare strain and then contaminated the batch without contaminating fellow employees? I fail to understand HOW it originated?!?

      • Nancy in Nebraska

Did the diluting substance that had a fungus, magically turn into a rare strain of meningitis?

      • Chester

Don’t guess anyone on here has actually been listening to anything other than Fox. All the meningitis is is an inflammation of the tissues surrounding the brain or spinal column. I this case, the inflammation is caused by the fungus growing in that nice warm nutrient rich solution called spinal fluid. It can generally be cured by a pretty massive dose of anti-fungal drugs, preferably administered intra-venously . That isn’t always working, as is shown by the number of deaths, but things are nowhere near as bad as they could be, as this could be ninety per cent fatal, or more.

      • ck

Nancy in Nebraska: It is “rare” for this fungus to get into the spinal fluid or the brain synovial fluid. The fungus itself you probably breath or ingest some of it every day, but your immune system can fight it off unless it gets into the blood stream or other bodily fluids by injecting it. Hope this helps

The start of population reduction…Obamacare will take care of most of the senior citizens….they have to come up with something else for the younger generation. New World Order has the number of populus worldwide set in their sites….they cannot control the world’s population right now, so they are off and running.

      • Kate8

Exactly. “Healthcare” is to be used to control life and death. Has been for a long time, actually.

Reminds me of one of those futuristic novels I read in HS. It was “known” that everyone dies sometime during their 50th year. Was accepted as normal.

Forcing people on to O’care is a means of control. They haven’t trained several agencies in the administration of vaccines for no reason. We can surmise mandatory vaccines are coming.

    • navyjr

You DON’T “accidentally contaminate” pharmaceuticals; but among the provisions of Obamacare which is tied in with the UN’s Agenda 21, is the object of “thinning the herd” so to speak. The elitist/globalist/socialists believe the population must be quickly dropped to about 500 million, from the 7 billion we currently have. These injections are used for people with chronic conditions; and THOSE, along with the elderly and children under 2 are on the “hit list” because they’re considered “unsustainable” under this agenda. There are all sorts of subtle programs under way to start the elimination of the “unsustainable” 6 1/2 billion of us!

  • Jim K

Thank God I didn’t go with my physician’s advice to get an injection. I live in one of the States affected.

    • samuel

JIM K , YOUR QUICK THINKING SAVED YOU FROM HEADACHES.UNFORTUNATELY I LIVE IN
      ONE OF THE AFFECTED STATES.
MY MOST FEAR IS THAT I HAD MY LAST STEROID SHOT FOR MY BACK PAIN YESTERDAY OCT. 08 2012 THE LAST OF THE 3 SHOTS.
WHEN THE REPORT SURFACED LAST FRIDAY ON CNN I CONTACTED THE FACILITY AND WAS TOLD THEY RECEIVED THEIR SUPPLIES OF STEROID FROM ENGLAND.
COULD YOU OR ANYONE PLEASE ADVISE ME HOW TO FIND OUT IF THE ANSWERS WERE ACCURATE OR NOT.
I AM SICK AND HELPLESS AT THIS MOMENT AND NEEDS HELP THANK YOU.

      • Kate8

samuel – As a precaution, if it were me, I’d flood my body with a good oxygen supplement and do some other things, as well. There are many natural things which kill pathogens with no negative effects. Oxygen is one of them. I use MMS, as it is very strong, but in a pinch you could use food grade 35% hydrogen peroxide ( a few drops in water) in repeated doses.

There are great methods of healing that the medical community tries to keep hidden from us so we use their cr*p. Do some research. It is risky to say too much these days.

I know a young girl who knocked out a sudden case of viral meningitis using a large dose of oxygen drops a few years back, when an epidemic of it hit our area. She had been with a boy who became hospitalized with it, and had become ill with idenitical symptoms. This disease moves fast. We hit it hard and it cleared up quickly.

I don’t know about this current form of meningitis, but oxygen kills any pathogen which is anaerobic.

Too many people feel helpless to heal themselves, and feel at the mercy of western medicine. This is how we’ve become conditioned, by design, for this very purpose. We MUST get back to understanding natural healing if we are to survive what’s coming.

      • navyjr

This is for Jim K also.Gentlemen, steroid use has MANY harmful side effects despite the touting of its safety; it’s not something you should EVER use without considering ALL the potentials, including osteoporosis and attendant fractures and lessened ability to fight off infections. Even the inhaled corticosteroids cause these problems {the ones people with respiratory problems like asthma and COPD use}. I’ve had more than a nodding acquaintance with such drugs, since I was a child, by my parents’ decision, and DON’T use them now, because I’ve learned; there are other, less dangerous and harmful means of dealing with your chronic pain. Also consider that over time those drugs actually exacerbate the very conditions they’re allegedly used to help!

      • Kate 8

        Very good point, navyjr.

It’s really unfortunate how we have all been so conditioned to trust the medical establishment without question, accepting their recommended procedures and drugs without ever researching them. So many of us have been terribly harmed (and killed) by our faith in them.

Granted, they also save lives under certain circumstances. But far more often their treatments result in a worse problem than we had in the first place at some point. The bottom line is, allopathic medicine is not curative, but is only intended to supress symtoms and manage disease. This is the wrong approach which comes from a faulty premise.

Too much to go into here, but suffice it to say that it has now become the system of total control, right past the boundaries of our skin. It has rendered us into livestock. Nothing more.

        Unless we prove ourselves otherwise.

        • Sandra Lee Smith

No problem; you’re right on the money and I know where you’re going with it. I’ve seen too much of it myself, to not know.

    • http://tlgeer.wordpress.com tlgeer

This is only valid if you get injection steroids. Do you?

  • libertarian58

The FDA/USDA will gladly give a pass to the pharma companies to release their poison on a trusting public, but should any of us DARE to make a health claim for a natural or harmless alternative, they waste no time in prosecuting us. Now who’s side are they really on?

    • Kate 8

      No kidding.

And, too, look how many natural practitioners have been prosecuted for treating people, especially those with serious illness, even when the people got better. If they don’t get better, they are gone after for “unproven” treatments.

Yet, medical doctors can (and do) kill people in large numbers, and loved ones say, “Well, they did all they could”. Hmmmmph. In fact, MDs often tell patients their treatments won’t work, but it’s what they “must” do. (“He ‘had’ to have surgery, chemo, etc… HAD TO?)

      • navyjr

Libertarian58, Kate 8, you’re both RIGHT on the track and the reasons are that it’s harder to kill us off if we DON’T take their poisons, and that it’s taking money out of those Big Pharma corporations’ pockets. They’ve been “brainwashing” our docs in medical schools for about the past century, that ALL forms of alternative {NON-pharmaceutical} therapy or treatment are harmful and unacceptable; and they work on student nurses TOO! That was when I ran into that aspect HARD, as a student nurse! I’m a FIRM believer in natural therapies and treatments! They sure work better for ME!

      • Kate 8

        navyjr – Ditto!

After having been damaged by medicine as a child, I went into the alternative healing field myself for most of my adult life. It is tragic the number of people who have been adversely affected (often permanently) by allopathic medicine.

I haven’t touched a pharmaceutical in over 30 years, and am much healthier than those I know who are on medications. I do not intend to EVER take them. I have an arsenal of natural remedies which work better than any the MDs have to offer, and leave us healthier, not damaged.

Ironic that so many people trust their health to the very system that has given us poisoned air, water and food, and seeks to reduce our numbers in every way possible.

Kate8 is spot on with all her points of view. There is nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing that man has done to remotely challenge the incredible power of nature. Mankind just thinks that he is smarter than nature and can control everything at will, but of course, manmade drugs are huge business, completely fraudulent and mostly useless, but then, only man sees a pot of gold at the end of his mischievious ways, whilst nature has no such ulterior motives, nor any interest in the storage of wealth. When mankind has been totally obliterated, nature will restore this planet to all it’s former beauty once more and smile in relief at the passing of the temporary irritant called man. Ponder awhile on the futility of our daily actions, our sheer misunderstanding of what life is all about, without at anytime contemplating victory over another or any hatred toward another and in the process the possibility of enjoying a truly rewarding and fruitful day is a distinct possibility.
We really do need to turn from our wicked ways if we expect any peace on earth. When we learn to refrain from hero worship of ordinary mortals and cease to place our precious lives and those of our chlldren in the hands of charlatans and thieves then and only then will we
have any chance of actually living the way it was intended that we should live.

Also disturbing was something else I read- A spokesman for the company would not say whether sterility tests had been done on the injection. If NOT, this is gross irresponsibility and incompetence. And I do wonder how they sterilized this product which is damaged by autoclave temperatures as well as gamma irradiation.

    • Sa ndra Lee Smith

At the very BEST it would be negligence; at worst something far more sinister, but NOT to be unexpected considering the current administration’s actual agenda!

AIDs, Lyme disease and now this joker: What next from Plum Island?
