Palin’s Popularity Dips Following Liberal Attacks

January 21, 2011 by

Palin's popularity dips following liberal attacks Tea Party favorite Sarah Palin has reached new levels of unpopularity, according to a recent survey.

The latest CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll shows that 56 percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of the former governor of Alaska, which is up seven points from a survey that was released before November's midterm elections. Palin, who is considering a run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, has been the center of controversy following the Jan. 8 shooting in Tucson, Ariz. that left six people dead and 14 wounded, including Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.).

In an attempt to link the Tea Party to the tragedy, some Democratic lawmakers and Left-wing commentators have accused Palin of spewing violent rhetoric toward her political rivals. Many liberals have expressed outrage over graphics that were used on Palin's website last year, with claims that the images were crosshairs targeting congressional districts.

However, columnist Neal Boortz of TownHall.com recently challenged those accusations. Boortz provided a link to a government-sanctioned website that proves that the symbols on Palin's map actually resemble surveyor's marks more than crosshairs.

Furthermore, Boortz included maps that were previously used by the Democratic Leadership Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In these graphics, several symbols are scattered throughout the country that look like bull's eyes, which are more commonly associated with weapon targeting.

Did you not watch her ‘poor me’ interview with Hannity? She herself called them “bulleyes,” several times. Either they are or they aren’t, but the perception from the day she put that map up, it that they weren’t meant to be crosshairs, and she was called on it immediately, but refused to take it down, because she takes advice from no one. Did she pull the trigger in Tucson? No, but her gun references are daily; her churning her crowds in 2008 to cries of “Kill him!” regarding candidate Obama—this is what she does…she gins up rhetoric, then stands back to claim innocence when something bad happens. “Oh, Sean, our calls to arms meant get out to the voting booth. Our votes are our arms.” Right. That’s why conservatives are often at political events with loaded assault weapons. Peace.

    • Mr P

Sally seems to be just another jealous commie-pinko-liberal bed-wetter. The only hate speach is coming from liberals. Lets start with cris mattews, ed shultz, the clown senator from Tenn., herr olbermann, rachel madcow, etc. and all refferecnces to the tea party being racist, and looking like the kkk. You don’t know history very well. the kkk was started by the democrats, and if it hadn’t been for repubs, the civil rights amendment would never have passed out of congress, as almost all dems voted against it, including algores dad.

Sally . You are stupid. Beck and Bill have brainwashed you. Stop watching Fox.

Hey Wanda – your STUPIDITY is showing – you addressed your comment to SALLY – who is on YOUR SIDE

The Progressives are SO STUPID – they cannot even read!

            Right on Laurie!!

          • http://deleted Claire

Can any politician use common sense when they talk? Dang few.

      • skip

Democrats in those days are the Republicans of the South today. They were not Republicans then because they hated Lincoln for his stances on slavery. Check the years the switch from Democrat to Republican took place in the South, and what took place during those years.

Palin’s popularity is sinking because of what she says and how she says it – nothing more, nothing less.

On the basis of recent speeches, there is no contest on civility. Like him or not, Obama hit it out of the park with respect to decency and civility – you can’t do better than he did.

        • Stan Lee

          Yeah Skip:
I can understand how you see it the way you do. Sure,Obama does give a good speech, no argument on that issue.
Incidentally, I suppose it has dawned on you that his speech was intended to be given for the sake of the families of the shooting survivors and those mourning the losses of loved ones.
That being the case, why make a campaign appearance out of the crisis, so as not to waste an opportunity? Why arrive four days after the fact to a jammed auditorium of screaming, demonstrating, Obamaites, wearing pre-printed tee shirts with a common Obama motto on them?

And, what of the “civility” that Obama seemed to endorse? Have his news media boosters and his people in Congress gotten his message?
Or, do they all understand that the whole thing was a facade, a publicity stunt, a less than half-hearted attempt to appear concerned? And, last but not least, how come that stellar Democrat Party booster, Sheriff Dupnik, is still spouting his uncivil accusations when actually, he ought to be cited for malfeasance in office? That shooter, completely apolitical by the words of all those who know him,was stalking Ms. Giffords, by this Sheriff’s own admission, for three years. Yet, no police protection was provided her for a shopping mall appearance?

I suppose you’d call such a session respectful, dignified, and solemn.
Or, was it more necessary and timely for Obama to kick-off his next campaign there?

          • Ship of Fools

The “campaign”-like atmosphere of Obama’s speech in Tucson was, by all accounts, created by an over-zealous college audience. Obama did a remarkable job at maintaining gravitas in light of that atmosphere. No brainer, friend.

          • ValDM

this is in reply to ship of fools:
College kids? Wee must not have seen the same thing, unless your idea of college kids are “kids” over 30. Some of them WAY over 30.

          • RoyfromKs

This comment is not just for Stan Lee. This applies to everyone!
You Democrats keep talking about degrees and a degree doesn’t make a man! Where I come from it’s common sense! You can’t take a military scholar and put him in battle because he’ll get killed! He has yet to develop common sense!….that’s why he he goes thru intense training before hitting the battlefield!
If you listen to Glenn Beck you’d learn more than any Liberal school would have taught you! These people are for real….no mater their schooling….they have common sense!
I learned a long time ago what the Liberal Democrats were doing to our America! I haven’t voted Democrat sense Kennedy!
Chris Mathews is a educated idiot! He went to one of our famous Liberal colleges that don’t teach anything except Liberalism as with most of the other idiots!
Look at Sebelius, she bragged about knowing more than other people because she had a “degree” ! She’s from Kansas and I know her actions! If I were her, I don’t think I would be bragging about my education!
You talk about the journalist in the news! Our Liberal Journalist go out and make the news and then give their slanted views! That’s not what a real journalist does…..listen to Sara Palin, she had training and said they were all wrong in the way the news was reported!
Obama killed two birds with one stone at the shooting memorial! He did present a good speech but Where else could you combine memorial services with campaigning? Obama has been I campaign mode ever sense his slipping into office!
The Democrats will follow all the stupid tactics that they do so well because that is all they have for their defense! Whats bad is that the Republicans have to correct everything the Democrats do to keep America safe and out of the hands of the criminals! When they (Republicans) could be working on other things to improve America!
George Soros has gotten rich with his Liberal,Marxist views! Now he’s trying to take America down like he did with other countries! Talk about “cross-hairs, bulleye’s and ect. he is elgible for anything or all the above!
When it comes to Fox News, there is no other. That’s why thit ratings are so high! You see, Fox News reports the truth! Even if it’s not Conservative! The other news people only report on their biased Liberalized slant of the news.
Degrees are made to frame and put up on the wall! It’s like a Doctors license to practice medicine….it doesn’t make him a doctor! It takes years of training as a person before he gets his common sense! Common sense, you don’t frame and put up on the wall!
And this part about Abe Lincoln, why are the blacks against him now? Don’t they know which side of their bread is buttered? Abe did a lot for the abolishing of slavery in America and now they ignore what he did for them! That’s really bad, they went with the Liberals because it was an easy way out! We do have a few Conservative blacks and thank God for that! Obama could have really made a good name for himself and the black movement if he would have been Conservative instead of Socialist! I could go on and on but I’m just an old man voicing my opinion!!!

          • who cares

What would you rather see or hear, President Obama giving comfort to the people of Tucson, AZ. or while in DC speacker John Boehner and the G.O.P are having COCKTAILS. no matter what positive Pres Obama and Democrats do or not do the cons-ervative/republicans will find something nagative to do or say against. When ever any of you or the tea party wants to talk trash you’ll junp in freedom speech wagon last time i remember free speech was for all. But the tea party is the exception to the rules they be running around like white bunnies with their assault rifles, portraying Pres Obama like hitler and the joker words have consequences something half governor Sarah Palin should know a thing or two about words like Blood label or as she like to say dont retreat reload here’s a good one crosshair she calls it a bullseye to add icing to the cake, and if was not plain enough Sarah Palin had to use by name Rep Gabriel Gifford and state, and other Democrats. If Cheney can get away with shooting a person on the face and not even have a investigation. Palin has nothing to worry about. Had a democrat even farted made sound like a shot you fairies would be running around like a chicken with out heads calling them every name in the book. But it’s okay when you fairies do it because you guys have God on you side oh lets not forget and country!! you can lead a horse to water but you can’t get it to drink that falls through with you fairies, we can lead you to the truth and i know is hard when you only have half a brain, and you need Fox (opinio) news 2nd and 3rd person to tell you fairies who, what, where, when and why. But we free thinker tried any way we try to tell you that you are being craped on by you party, lied by Fox. The republicans party are running on dust bunnies they have nothing but lies they know the Public option is not passing it is only waste of time and tax payers money it’s a fairy feel good to you they voted they kept their promise. The difference between Huffington Post, Rachel Maddow and others they point out the lie’s of ($35M)Glenn Beck, ($22M)Sean Hannity, and (tokyo Rose) ($58M)Limbaugh they are paid BIG BUCKS to pass misinformation because they know their listeners dumb shits. Why you think Sarah Palin goes to fox. With all said and done it make’s no F#*&KING different, you fairies a bunch of dumb shitshead. Eight year of Bush what good did he do??? what did he do for you?? He cost me $3000 a year more in taxes. the price fuel went up food, health, car, house insurance they all went up, loss of jobs under bush. Why would anyone want to go back to republican rule? It’s dumb, you fairies are dumb.

Some times I wounder who the elite are dont you?
One of the great myths of the left is that socialism is a movement of the people, the working classes, or the poor. In fact — as Frederick Hayek pointed out long ago — all socialist movements are the creation of intellectual elites, liberally pollinated by millionaires. Karl Marx was the kept intellectual of factory owner Frederick Engels; Bill Ayers, a leader of the terrorist cult called the Weatherman, was a scion of the American upper class; Katrina vanden Heuvel, editor of The Nation, is a multi-millionairess; Michael Moore, leftwing propagandist, is a multi-millionaire who has profited handsomely from the “struggle.” The Leftwing Millionaires Club is a very incomplete list designed to illustrate this point and to serve as a reminder that everything is not always what it appears. (Text: Frederick Hayek “The Intellectuals and Socialism,” in Hayek, Socialism and War, University of Chicago Press, 1997)

skip-py, “Palin’s popularity is sinking because of what she says and how she says it – nothing more, nothing less.”

Naw skippy, Palin never will be popular because the Marxist run media attacks destroyed her in ’08 and the “majority” still believe what the leftist lame stream media has been telling them for two years. Nothing more, nothing less.

          • Stan Lee

            Ship of Fools:

Well, Ship old boy, a considerate-thinking President would not have held a memorial service for mourners at a loaded college auditorium.
But, once there, with all the adulation he got from those mass-printed, tee shirt clad “college kids,” Mr. Obama could have beckoned them to quiet down and be respectful of the occasion.

He didn’t…he saw only one thing, votes! The man’s all about himelf.

I’m sorry fer y’all.

First try using spell check. Obviously you have no substance to your argument or you wouldn’t have started you response with an Elementary school name calling rant. Chris Mathews, Keith Olberman, and Rachel Maddow all have COLLEGE DEGREES. Keith Olberman has a degree in Journalism and Rachel Maddow is a Rhodes Scholar. Your icons, Limbaugh, Hannity, and Beck have NO degrees. Those three think you spell it “Road Skoler”. Please Please Please nominate Sarah as your standard bearer for 2012. I love a slam dunk.

        • meteorlady

Ah another better than you person who believe a degree is tantamount to success or honesty. IN all honesty I don’t listen to any of these people because they are not journalists anymore. A good journalist reports the news, does not incite people, does not twist things to suit their purpose. A good journalist does not ever put their personal opinion into an article. They are honest, non-biased and fair in their reporting. These type of journalists have been dead a long time, ever since the elites took over the broadcast and paper news through mergers and aquisitions.

          • http://Verizon Bud G.

Sprock seems to believe a degree makes you intelligent. There was a test on the internet two years ago to see if one was smarter than President Obama. Well, according to the test, I am and with only two years of college. In the school for senior non commissioned officers, I scored higher on exams than three who had masters degrees and 27 others who had three or more years of college. If you have a degree and an IQ less than 130 and no common sense, I believe it doesn’t make you more intelligent than one with no degree with an IQ of 130 and common sense. Why are the ratings of the people you love going down. Could it be the American public is tired of listening to their twisted views?

Unfortunately, our institutions of higher learning are more interested in teaching the propaganda of the left than educating our students.

          • Kinetic1

            meteorlady,
You are confusing journalists with commentators. Olberman, Rush, Shultz and Beck are paid to provide their opinion. The difference come into play when people like Hannity, who stresses his position as commentator whenever he is assailed for distorting the facts, then turns and tells us that we need go nowhere else to hear all the news of the day. Also, contrast the experience of Limbaugh or Beck to that of Chris Matthews or Lawrence O’Donnell. The latter two have years of working alongside leaders in our government, while the former two are a DJ and a comedian. The opinions of commentators can be of value in learning the facts in any case, but you need to be aware of the knowledge and the agenda of those you are listening to.

          • Lewis Munn

I agree. I think it used to be called “Yellow Journalism”, when rather than reporting facts, personal biases were included to slant the news. “All the new we print to fit” approach.

And the vociferous hollering of those who seem to be Liberals shows that the truth hits home, and hurts.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            kinetic,
Now you BELITTLE commediens while a while back you were touting the virtues of a certain elected official that was a commedien!!!

          • Dan Burke

I find interesting that there are those here so obsessed with how poor it is that we get our news from commentators like Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity. I don’t listen to all of them, but if you listened you would actually hear them decry what a shame it is that you get more honest news from them too!!! And why is that, because the people here that state that journalists all too commonly are not really journalists anymore, well, they are speaking the truth.

Take for example, the recent shooting of Gifford. How many articles and statements included, “there is no evidence” and then proceeded to condemn the vitriol of the commentators on radio as well as Sarah Palin for inciting people like this young man to violence. Is that reporting? No evidence is reporting? That is the sad state of journalism.

I work with computers. There is an expression. “Garbage in. Garbage out.” The same thing applies to humans. If all we learn is garbage, then all we will regurgitate is garbage in our thinking. While it possible to change course, how many abused in childhood become abusers as adults? How many that saw their parents cheat in their marital relationships will do the same to their own spouses? There are many that beat these cycles, but you may find a common theme that at some point the “garbage in” had to be rewritten, removed, and/or replaced.

So what of those college degrees? If our journalists and politicians are any sort of litmus test for how much “garbage in” they are getting, then I would agree that they are worthless. In fact, I talked to an executive once who said that when he chooses college candidates over the uneducated like myself (he was trying to encourage me to finish my degree) is because it speaks of commitment to finish a project to the end. The degree itself was only minimally worthwhile. Most of the time they have to re-train the individual anyways, building upon what they learned in their degree and helping them “unlearn” what would detrimental to the job.

          • Peter

With apologies to no-one, and a very clear statement that I am neither GOP nor Dem, let me point out as kindly as I can that there is not one honest politician in either house! Nor is there an honest, unbiased journalist reporting on matters emanating from either house or the Whitehouse!
Fact: All politicians receive donations from either the corporate world, the unions or both. The donors don’t do so for nothing, they want a serious return on their investment. BO has disappointed many, so guess what? Millions of dollars is pouring into GOP campaign coffers from corporate & insurance interests. In the US it’s called donations. In any other situation it would be called what it is – bribery and corruption. On both sides of politics folks, America is for sale to the highest bidder. None of them are honest. Period.
Fact: In any business, the owner never employs anyone who doesn’t agree with their ethos, therefore, liberal media owners (like CNN) employ liberal trained ‘journalists’ (I use the term very lightly), who are well trained in putting a liberal bent on every story, while appearing to present both sides. Conservative media (like Fox) employ conservative ‘journalists’ to do the same thing from the other side of the coin.
Like the politicians, there is not one honest, unbiased ‘journalist’ reporting anything these days. No journalist presents an open, honest appraisal of both sides of any issue. By simple but devious acts of emphasis or omission, they all subtly convince the public that their presentation of the issue is ‘correct’.
It then falls to you and me, the public, to display our own integrity by searching out the truth for ourselves. By that I mean not just reading or viewing material from one side, but investigating every available source of information on a subject, so you can find the real truth somewhere in the middle of all the spin and hype.
Folks, both sides rely heavily on the fact most Americans won’t bother to do that. Most citizens act more like sheep than intelligent human beings unfortunately. An old adage says, “2% of people think; 3% of people think they think, and 95% of people would rather die than think”. This is what politicians and the media (all of it) rely on.

Sprock…..Some of us “read the books” and some of us “write the books”. Without getting long winded and boasting about my own qualifications let me remind you to check your history. You’ll find that many so-called “geniuses” had “no degrees”! Sounds like the best use of your degrees is for toilet paper.

A Rhodes Scholar is a socialist. If you doubt me, look into the hsitory of Cecil Rhodes, who started this mess. He was one of the most influential men to promote socialism and communism of both the 19th and 20th centuries.

Could very well be. ~ A Rhodes Scholar is someone that has applied themselves in discipline of thought and can absorb and assimilate data and information well beyond what might be considered “common”.

They are to be despised and hated by any Tea Party crowd that’s mind works primarily off the sense of smell.

          • ValDM

If she was a devout Christian, she must have thrown over her “indoctrination” from being a Rhodes Scholar. You can’t serve two masters. Incidentally, Kris Krisofferson (you know, the country singer/songwriter) was also a Rhodes Scholar……….what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?? At least, he didn’t get on the politcial stump and tell us he knew how to run our lives better than we do.

          • Doc Franklin

Bob Wire. The better the olfaction, the higher the IQ. One of the earliest signs of impending dementia is the loss of smell. You were serendipitously correct. Thanks for the compliment, and for admitting what we already knew, that we are intellectually superior to the anosmic liberal.

          Sprock:

“People who live in glass houses….” Talking of “name-calling rant,” the TV commentators you named, all with college degrees (which seems so important to you)lead their profession in character assassination and name calling. Ergo, the fact that all three of them, lumped together, don’t compete with one show rating of the same type on Fox News. The Fox News audience certainly isn’t all Republicans, therefore an audience in such record-setting numbers has to be looking for far more than what Matthews, Maddow, and Obermann give them.

          • Kinetic1

Sprock, another “intelligent liberal” who actually believes a “degree” automatically put you above everyone else. Seems to be another “myth” the left takes pride in. The “You’re all ignorant and I’m not because I’m better educated” syndrome. Ah, and spell check…yea, you’re also the grammar and spelling cop too! That’s all the argument you can make? By the way, just showing your support for the “alphabet” morons at MSNBC speaks volumes about your education…book smarts and not an ounce of common sense!

I didn’t even use spell check either…imagine that.

      • Kinetic1

        Mr P,
Have you ever actually watched Rachel Maddow’s show? She is among the most even tempered folks on TV. Just the other night she devoted almost half of her show to a very pleasant interview with Michael Steele. And I have never seen Olberman resort to the levels of hate commonly seen on Glen Beck’s show. All these claims of left wing hate talk are just another example of the Carl Rove play book; attack the oppositions strengths and blame them for everything you yourself have done.

As for your claims about the KKK, anyone who has studied the history of the parties knows that both parties were vastly different 100 years ago. At the time of the KKKs founding, Southern Democrats were a very powerful segment of the party. In 1860 the issue of slavery split the Democratic party between those in the north and those in the south, each of whom nominated their own candidate for president. This split lead to the election of Republican Abraham Lincoln.

Following the Great Depression, the divide between the Democrats reached a peak, and the conservative constituency of the South, angered by the progressive agenda of FDR either retired, or in many cases left to join the Republican party. To quote a passage from wikipedia “Under FDR, the Democratic Party became identified more closely with modern liberalism, which included the promotion of social welfare, labor unions, civil rights, and the regulation of business. The opponents, who stressed long-term growth and support for entrepreneurship and low taxes, now started calling themselves “conservatives.”

Jump forward to the 60s where a new Democratic party, lead by Harry Truman advanced a platform of civil rights, which drove the Southern Democrats to form the Dixicrats. This is followed by Nixon’s “southern strategy” to bring the conservative southern voter, now disenfranchised by their parties move towards civil rights into the Republican party.

So can you see the future now? Can you see how useless it is to try and compare the Parties of even 50 years ago to todays? The old Republican party made some great leaps in the civil rights movement, but that is not the Republican party of today.

        • Ted Crawford

Whoa….nice civility you guys show in this place. A friend turned me onto this place last week, and now, without warning or comment, his replies are not published…seems censorship is alive and well in a place that calls itself a free discussion area. Must be a conservative version of free discussion. So I’ve decided to carry the flag.

Sally is absolutely correct and stated a well written opinion.

Overall, Palin is an empty head. She is not suited for any office other than perhaps President of her local PTA. She has built up her image where she has cashed in making millions (which was the reason she resigned her governorship no matter what her superficial reasons were. She knew her time to make millions had come).

Getting back to civility. If any moderate or liberal responded with such language, it is certain they’d be kicked off this site. The censorship has been done already with at least three moderates…and their replies and comments are nowhere near the childishness displayed today alone.

Have a nice day and we can chat soon.

        • libertytrain

Am guessing your “friend” perhaps has gotten caught up in automatic spam for words that may be inappropriate or perhaps attacked in a way covered by the rules of this site. You know better than anyone just from reading this site, all sides are represented.

      • Deanna

I couldnt agree more Mr. P!!!

    • Laurie, Haslet, TX

      Sally
you really need to stop listening to the LEFT WING NUT MEDIA – they are lying to you and have been lying to you.

The PROGRESSIVES THINK EVERYONE is stupid and are unable to make any decisions for themselves. They believe that they are THE ONLY PEOPLE who can make decisions for you.

Instead of blindly following the LIES – do the research and FIND THE TRUTH! Watch or listen to FOX, Glenn or Rush – then look at how the LEFT completely distorts what they are actually saying.

The question you have to ASK yourself – WHAT IS IT THE LEFT DOES NOT WANT ME TO HEAR? Its called the TRUTH!

Millions have done this and found the LEFT to be lying – that is why the LEFT lost on Nov 2nd.

      • Ian Burton

And what “LIES” did she blindly state miss Laurie? And the fact that you use the term “progressives” interchangeably with any form of liberalism shows that you probably are not very well versed in the multiple FACETS of political ideology. There isn’t just “us” and “them”, nothing is black and white, and we should return to a moderation in our political discourse.

And Laurie, you challenged Sally to watch Fox to learn the truth; I challenge you to read some Pol. Sci. articles that are peer-review and published in a journal.

        • Laurie, Haslet, TX

Where did I state that Sally was lying?

          • Ian Burton

I never said you intend that Sally was lying directly, but rather stating or “..blindly following the LIES – do the research and FIND THE TRUTH!”.

You kind of missed the point, too many people feel that they “own” their opinion, or that the beliefs are like possessions, I was challenging you to see the fluidity in belief, but I fear it may have been to deaf ears.

          • eddie47d

            Duh,Your whole article!

          • Laurie, Haslet, TX

            This is YOUR comment IAN
“And what “LIES” did she blindly state miss Laurie?”

you SAID that I said Sally was lying. I said the LEFT WING MEDIA is lying.

It takes an open mind to see the truth – to look at both sides of the argument apply common sense and see what is REALLY happening in our country.

And your comment about reading Political Science journals – what makes you assume I am NOT EDUCATED?

By the way the POL SCI journals are written by PROGRESSIVES.

And no being LIBERAL is not being a PROGRESSIVE as you seem to believe is my opinion.

Progressives assume they are the ONLY smart people and the rest of us are stupid so they have to tell us WHAT TO THINK.

          • JeffH

Laurie, Haslet, TX…very good, I that was a “slam dunk”! These liberals, or should I say these supporters of the Marxist/socialist/communist ideology, are always making assumptions and take great pride in putting “words” in someone else’s mouth. As you can tell by the responses, they are quite “sensitive” about labels, especially the ones that fit!

          • Ian Burton

I chose not to respond back, and I never intend to put words in her mouth, if that happened it wasn’t my doing. She was missing my point totally so I had given up. People statistically are more likely to receive their News from like-minded sources, which further alienates them from the middle. I often try to look at current events from all sides (ergo I’m here) and I was challenging to do the same.

But she has a believe that scholarly reviewed sources are controlled by “progressives” as they are known so there was no use for me to continue trying to engage her in a civil discussion.

          • Jana

            Ian,
The leftist leaning group are calling themselves Progressive. It is the “New Term”. By any name they are liberal, they are socialists, and embrace the communists among them. They want to change our country from its Standards and turn us into a Socialist country.
Most of us do comprehend what is going on, some choose not to see it.

        • Dan az

Modern liberalism is a leftist and nihilistic rebellion against the inherently unequal nature of the human condition. If we conservatives named this ideology for what it is, we would have a fair chance to defeat it or at least stem its advance. But if we go on imagining that leftists are liberals who share with us a common moral consensus as Americans—if we continue to regard their hateful assaults on us and our institutions as expressions of “silly” political correctness rather than of their fundamental drive to abolish our system of government and destroy us as a people, then we will be unable to oppose them in any way that counts, and they will keep driving us and our civilization backwards, step by step, until finally nothing remains. If we are effectively to oppose modern liberalism with its destructive double standards, we must oppose it on principle.

      • ImWithStupid

Dear jesus, please do not reproduce.

        • Lewis Munn

He did not reproduce anything but the ideas of truth and love and peace.

Contrary to what the Left usually says of Christianity.

But they will not listen, will they? Or research, either, lest the Truth make them free!

      • Kinetic1

        Laurie,
Please, Beck is the king of distortion. Just listen as he tries to re-write history. Join him as he and his mentor David Barton produce “facts” that prove Jefferson was a devout Christian! Pay no attention to the Jeffersonian scholars (you know, those folks who have actually devoted their lives to the study of Jefferson’s life?) who have debunked everything Barton has presented. This is a Christian nation, no matter what our founding fathers said! Fox has done a great job of providing content and commentators that reinforce what people WANT to believe, despite the facts.

        • Curtis

Faux News… has been caught in so many deceptive journalistic practices it’s sad… but their sheep don’t notice ‘cuz it feeds them what they want to hear. I loved the Bill O’Reilly segment when he asked the atheist to explain the mystery of the tides. Bill: “Tide goes in, tide goes out. Never a miscommunication. You can’t explain that.” (@1:51) Oh really O’Reilly? Most grade schoolers know that the tides are influenced by the gravitational pull of the sun and the moon… it has nothing to do with god. The tides are predictable… there are tables that are produced that KNOW when high tide and low tide will occur. YES, you CAN explain the tides and there’s no need for a ‘god’ to make the tides happen.
Watch the entire O’Reilly train wreck here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XEgkViLbTk&feature=player_embedded#!

          • JeffH

Curtis, you’re reaaaaaalyyyy reaching with this one. LMAO! You can certainly do better than that.

The tides? Hah! Give me a break, the athiest promoting Silverman didn’t refute O’Reilly over that question, never attempted to. O’Reilly asked him to explain the tides in and out and he wouldn’t go there.

As for any gradeschooler answering the same question, I beg to differ. My nephews kids, 8 and 12 didn’t know the answer and their three freinds, same ages, didn’t know the answer. The wife didn’t know as well as two of the kids father. I’d say that a lot of people couldn’t answer that question without thinking long and hard, unless they were raised around tidal waters or boats.

Pleas stop calling poor Sally names. It’s not her fault she has been Obamtomized.

    • Bruce D.

It amazes me how much the left fear Sarah Palin. You would not think this loving mother and wife from an unpopulated state could possible create that kind of fear in the left. It is not the cross hairs they fear though. It is her unyielding attack on their leftest ideology. I think Conservative woman are an emerging and an amazing force that will not be so easily dismissed. Conservative woman are good role models and have been eroding much of the liberal base despite liberals trying to paint a very different picture..

      • http://aol Bill

Democrats don’t fear Palin, they love her. They all want her to run for president to insure a landslide win for Obama.

        • meteorlady

Then why the constant attacks? Why the lies and hatred? Why even listen to her or give her publicity if she’s such a non-event?

          • Kinetic1

Palin makes news, and news makes money. I don’t care to listen to her, but it’s difficult when everything she says is repeated 100 times a day in the media. And once you hear what nonsense she has spouted to day, it’s difficult not to comment.

Do I fear Sarah Palin? No. Do I fear that she is a symbol of our nations downward spiral towards uneducated jingoistic rhetoric taking the place of real news? You betcha!

          • Deanna

Kinetic, She would be a lot better than that soci-commi in office now I fear for where our country will be in 5-10 years and feel sorry for my kids and everyone else’s!!!

        • Jana

Of course CNN would publish that Palin’s popularity has dipped. This is what the left wants us to think.

Like Psalm 37:32 says, The wicked watcheth the righteous and seeketh to slay him. (They are trying to slay her with their words and evil portrayals.

Again though I am comforted because Psalm 37:12 -15 puts it so appropriately,

The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him (her) with his teeth 13. the Lord shall laugh at him, for He seeth that his day is coming. 15. Their sword shall enter their own heart and their bows shall be broken.
All of their accusations and rantings and ravings will get them nowhere in the end.

          • Lewis Munn

…And the people evil in their hearts will pay just as much attention now to those who speak truth as they did back then!

      • barbm

i’m so far right, i make reagan look like a commie, and i wouldn’t vote for palin for pta president. am i afraid of her? no, because i don’t think she has a snowball’s chance in hades of getting nominated for 2012. we, in texas, had a fabulous tea party gubernatorial candidate, debra medina. instead of coming here and supporting medina, palin threw her support to the rino incumbent rick perry. and glenn beck sabotaged medina on his show – he works with palin, you know. after he threw her under the bus, he even said on the air that he wanted to french kiss rick perry. but, no, he wasn’t helping his little buddy, perry. my big old fat white behind he wasn’t. i’ll never listen to his show or trust anything he says again.

      • Lewis Munn

Liberals tend to fear anything that could disturb their ideas. I have noted that since grade school days. They cover it, but I lived with it through school.

I do note these days the “liberals” generally are those who want to be “liberal” with my money, not their own!

Maybe some knowledgable “Liberals” can tell me when the meaning changed from being liberal with their own to being liberal with mine??

    • meteorlady

Obviously you live in a big city and have never been anywhere where people are self-sufficient and hunt for food. These are common saying and are part of the culture of the area. I live in Texas and we also talk about hitting the bulls eye and taking aim, for people to get up in arms so much that they accuse here of causing the shootings makes me sick. This country is getting nastier and nastier when people disagree. We used to work together and now we have polarized so much that people can’t even talk civilized to each other. People like you, city people, need to understand that people like me, country people, live a different life culturally. We expect to help out in the community, we volunteer and we help our neighbors through hard times. That’s the same in Alaska, the people care about each other. City people just go to work and talk about spending my money to help out the less fortunate. They don’t pitch in and help, they just expect the government to do it for them.

In this case, if you want to place blame, blame the poor lost person who did it. Blame the government and the liberal media for whipping up racism, divisions, and labeling people right or left. But hey, to people like you the government is always the solution right?

      • marvin

      • DB

HOW MUCH DID SHE PAY A POUND FOR THAT “WILD GAME”????
I’LL BET OVER $1000.00. THREE AIRPLANES, HUNTING TAGS,A HUNTING GUIDE,THATS NOT RURAL AMERICA. THAT WAS AN ELITIST HUNTING TRIP.

        • meteorlady

See that’s what I mean by nastiness. You can’t just accept the fact that they hunt, and they eat and use what they kill? None of that costs anything much except to get out in nature and enjoy the day and camping trip. I just get in my car or truck, go out the ranch, kill a white tail and have it processed for meat. We eat that through the year and it’s good to know that I didn’t have to go to the grocery store all the time to get my protein. I’m self sufficient, you are not. What happens if they cut off your meat supply? Which, by the way it getting harder to come by since we are now using cattle feed to make fuel for cars when we have huge supplies of natural gas. You city people are in for a rude awakening when you can’t get your veggies because the land is now producing corn and soy beans.

          • Cliffystones

Not to mention that most of the restrictions placed on hunters come from the leftists in our government bureaucracy.

Even on so called “public land” you are severely restricted as to when , where, what species, etc. For the last few years it ‘s been very easy to get Elk tags for the first season here in Colorado due to the economy, increasing restrictions and the cost of tags for non-residents.

          • Jana

You mean “elitist” like ex-Speaker Pelosi’s formerly reserved and dedicated only to her whims, Air Force transcontinental air liner, so she could fly back to ‘Frisco without refueling in “fly-over country?” Imagine, an entire AF flight crew and ground crew, plus security, all on exclusive “stand-by” at Dulles Int’l (not an AF base) for Madame Pelosi!
Is that the kind of “elitist” you mean, DB? :):)

        • JeffH

DB, your comment just shows your ignorance about hunting and hunters.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            JeffH,
I wonder how much a pound DB pays for beef and pork that is full of antibiotics and hormones?? She got what, about 300 pounds of meat from that bull elk? Let’s see, at 2.50 a pound for beef, that would be 750 dollars for very lean, great tasting meat, which elk is! That would also be an average, as some of the cuts of beef are as high as 7.00 a pound!! I was told by a medical research service from my insurance that venison and other wild game are much, much better for you fat wise than either pork or beef!! I would say 1000 to 2000 dollars for the trip was a bargain, and an eleitist I am definately NOT!!!

          • JeffH

JoeH., not to mention the hunting experience and the time she got to spend with her father…plane flight $600 bucks…experience-priceless!

        • Lewis Munn

          DB,

How much did you pay for the computer and accessories to strikei out at other people?

ASnd while you condemn someone who has money for doing what they want with it, not what you might, I wonder what “vices” you spend your money on that if I knew I would condemn as wasteful, etc.

I kinda suspect you would condemn me for spending some of my limited resources helping directly a poor family, rather than shooing them off to the Public Assistance office to fill in piles of forms and sign their lives away. And I not right?

Government assistance is not nearly so rewarding as helping directly where you know the needs, and can help as needed, not as prepackaged like it or lump it bureaucracy.

If I am wrong, feel free to say so.

      • Kinetic1

        meteorlady,
What a load of simplistic trash. I have lived in the big city and in small communities. I have lived alongside folks who have never seen an animal slaughtered, and those who hunt for their food. Never, ever have I found that city people were less likely to help their neighbors in the next apartment any less than small town folks will come to the aid of a neighbor across the pasture. It’s these sorts of “us vs. them” views that keep the pot boiling.

        • Jana

          Kinectic1,
It seems you do an awful lot of ‘pot boiling’ yourself.

          • Lewis Munn

Nothing tastier than a well boiled pot for supper!! Lots of iron in it too, builds red blood.

          • Jana

            LOL,
But the left forgets that besides red blood they need a good backbone, not just a big mouth.

      • Lewis Munn

No, they think the only solution is what’s left! They abhor even the word “right”.

    • Jovianus

      Well stated

    • marvin

      Sally
like your liberal view point ,you say what you want ,palin has the same right as you or any other american citizen,as for gun this country was founded on god guns and guts ,with the loss off anyone of the three you and i both lose are right to speak out would i take a gun to a meeting, demm straigh i would it is my constitutional right to if i choose, and you have the same right not to ,so don,t be stuped and try place blame on someone for your action, mad men and womam do bad things and don,t need you or i to incourage them ,that like saying you or your girl is pregnent and it was not your fault lest you where raped it is your fault not mine not palin not bush,so manup liberal put the blame where the blame should be

    • bhscpa

Another case of Palin Derangement Syndrome. The lying liberal media is very good at their job.

    • Cliffystones

      Sally,

For all of us inbred redneck yokels, would you please define the term “assault weapon”?

I can leave my AR-15 loaded all day, carry it around, lay it on a table, or snuggle with it in bed if need be. And it has never “assaulted” anybody! Do you suppose my AR is a closet liberal?

I just loathe the terms assault rifle/weapon. Another left-wing trigger term designed to make the uninformed think that the guns themselves are somehow dangerous or responsible for the actions of the people (mis) using them.

      • Lewis Munn

Better lock it up in a safe in a locked closet! It might sneak out and go on a murder rampage if you do not have it under your personal control at all times…or better yet, hire a Liberal to guard it at all times.

Maybe even hire an illegal alien to guard it! Pay him good, as a Liberal says they would!

      • JeffH

Cliffystones…reminds of the time when Diane Feinstein was pushing her anti-gun rhetoric at a press conference to ban “assault weapons”.
Holding an SKS and calling it an AK-47…oh so typical.

    • wandamurline

Sarah Palin is not the enemy here…the enemy lies within the progressive liberal medias (notice I did not call them news). Andrea Mitchell was the first out the chute to start pointing fingers without any shred of evidence…and still there is no evidence to verify any of what she said. Had I been Palin, I would not have made the video…I would have just sued the pants off Mitchell for slander and liabel…you see, even the press has to report something of the truth of which there is none to support the progressive liberal’s attacks on the Tea Parties, Republicans or Palin,Beck, etc. Pleeeeese stop drinking the koolaide and get yourself sobered up…then maybe you can actually see the truth. Of yeah, we are still waiting on the video that showed the Tea Partiers spitting on the Black Caucus and calling them the “n” word…the reason is simple…it did not happen…it is the lies of the liberals. When they want to get your vote, they simply make up lies and spread them around, cannot justify anything, just keep lieing. Maybe that is why CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS and NBC have the lowest watching audience in their history…they are owned by George Soros…I do not watch them anymore. When they start reporting the news instead of their view of the news, maybe then…but don’t look for it to happen anytime soon.

    • Jim

Sally, are you out of your freakin mind or are you really that stupid. Perhaps you are just so blind to the facts that no matter what is said all you can do is parrot the liberal agenda. What ever was said by Palin, Hannity, Beck, Limbaugh or any other conservative it had no more to do with the shooting in Tuscon than you did. In all of Palins speeche she has never called for anyone to be killed, something that can’t be said for many of the Liberals. Why don’t you get you facts straight befor you spout off and shouw just how ignorant you are.

      • Stan Lee

        Jim:

“Forgive them for they know not what they do.”
Next week, they’ll probably be blaming the Fuller Brush guy or the Amway lady for not being civil bcause they’re not unionized! :):)

    • Dogma-Free Too

      Spin, Vanna…spin!!

hahaha…I love the spin they try to put on this…like the Libs had anything to do with air-head Palin’s popularity dropping…you know, as opposed to the fact that she made things worse for herself by trying to take advantage of a GUN SLAYING that SHE HELPED CAUSE!

She is so utterly shameless, that she actually tried to make it sound as though she herself was a ‘victim’ of the horrible MASS GUN SLAYING in Tucson…and like I said, she had a major part in bringing that MASS GUN SLAYING about in the first place.

She should be held accountable, and charged as an accomplice in the MASS GUN MURDERS that happened that day.

And, by the way…for the mindless NRA crowd…do you ever happen to notice how there are no mass stabbings…or mass deaths by stoning…??

No, of course not…why would anyone be bothered with those ineffectual, and inefficient things, when they can just waltz into a GUN store, and regardless of mental state, just buy the GUN of their choosing…and to make it even more convenient to KILL WITH, they choose to buy a bigger CLIP (or ‘magazine’, to the anal-retentive) to hold even more ammo (or ‘ammunition’ or ’rounds’, to same said anal-retentive folks), so that they can just keep pulling the trigger, and consequently, KILLING MORE INNOCENT PEOPLE WITH THEIR GUNS!

Honestly, people…pull your heads out of the warm, dark, and dusky place you have them currently lodged in, and give them a good, hard shake.

You don’t need to live your lives in pant-wetting, McCarthy era fear anymore.

      • JeffH

Dog, another baseless liberal rant. Isn’t it breaktime yet?

      • castaway

Nor do I need a gun to cap your ass buddy! If I decided to end your existance on this planet I do not need to go to the gun store for a means. Guns are available everywhere and cheap. But who needs a gun. I sure don’t. There are many much more effective ways than using a gun. Remove all the guns, think you are safe?? Not a chance. However if you are packin heat, you will have a better chance of protecting yourself for sure.

In addition, if you really believe Palin is responsible for this nutcase that shot those people in Arizona, you are just like him. A nutcase yourself and should be locked away in a rubber room. This guy had bad things going on long before Palin appeared on stage. You are just another coward from the liberal la la land.

      • Lewis Munn

        You err, Sir Leftie.

Getting stoned is the cause of many more civilian deaths than gunfire. Teens getting stoned and driving murder millions of innocent victims in public on our roads.

        Do you deny that?

Oh, do you let your Dogma run free without a leash? ASPCA might like to know.

        • eddie47d

I will deny that 100% Lewis Munn. Total driving deaths in America is around 42,000 and has remained the same for at least 30 years. Alcohol accounted for 17,941 of those deaths in 2010.That figure has also remained about the same over the last 30 years but slightly higher in 2010. The major cause for teen deaths is distractions (cell phones, texting, talking to friends). Not drugs.

          • http://?? Joe H.

gee eddie, I suppose now you want to do away with those dangerous cell phones, too??? Watch it, if a teen is on the phone and distracted he could kill 8 or 9 and injure 10 or 12!!! Ban those dangerous cell phones!!!!

        • eddie47d

Joe; You show so much baffling ignorance and there is so little time to deal with you and that crooked mouth.

      • John Woodbury

Hey Dogwhatever, I am not a fan of Palin, but your crazy rant does not help your case at all. The shooting was caused by PERSONAL vendetta against the Congresswoman, what part of PERSONAL do you not understand?

      • Allan Halbert

What we have today is the new McCarthyism — virulent, self-serving political correctness now being perpetrated by the left. 50 years later they are looking for the politically incorrect behind every bush. The communists now trying to weed out the elements of a free society.

    • castaway

She has her shit together, and that is more than I can say for you and other liberal sheepies like you. As they say, No brains no pain!!!!

    • JUKEBOX

I haven’t seen any shootings at those gun toting rallies Sally. Your thinking might change if you spent a few weeks with the Palin family, and see how real people live, and not just the pseudo intellectual elites in DC. You probably would act like Kate Goslin.

    • Allan Halbert

Ya know, businesses having been putting targets on maps for years. Even United Way did for its fundraising campaigns. This political correctness is hypocritical and disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself.

    • http://gunner689 gunner689

only a nitwit would misinterrput what she meant.

    • EddieW

Sarah Palin is possibly a traitor…her mentor is Kissinger, who advocated spraying E-bola on big cities, to kill the population…to lower the population!! Probably no one left to bury them is the reason they didn’t do it!! I don’t know if she is CFR or not, but would bet she is, so might as well keep Obaba!!!
Big problem coming up this summer, please pass this on to all your friends!!
China is devaluing the dollar by 30%…other countries will soon follow suit!! By summer we can expect a 30% inflation rate, for clothing, gas, oil, electronics, and most importantly FOOD!!
      .
If you can afford to, and have a cool place to store it, pick up some Freeze Dried foods…They will last 25 years! Dehydrated needs spices, which could be hard to locate!
My favorite Freeze Dried food company is…beprepared(dot)com.. Rule 1….Buy things you like to eat!!!

      • John Woodbury

EddieW, I like you are trying to prepare, but I have news for the Chinese want a storng dollar, the FED is dropping the value of the dollar.

    • Al Sieber

B.S., Sally, where’s your proof? I don’t like NEO-Cons at all. both parties are the same.

    • steve

Palin is a loose cannon, a wacko and a nutcase. She is also a quitter. She took an oath when she became Governor of Alaska and she broke it when she went Hollywood. A public servant she is not. What a loser.

  • Doc Sarvis

    Good post Sally.
I guess to get her numbers back up Ms. Palin will need to have another “reality” TV show since that is where most desparate lightweights end up.

    • JUKEBOX

Most of the “LIGHTWEIGHTS” end up on MSNBC or CNN. Reality is where most people in fly over country live.

  • Ian Burton

“Ad hominem”, “tu quoque” and “red herring”.
Plus there was the fallacy of… deflecting blame while you’re doing the same thing, I forgot what that was called though; ex. you said that crosshairs weren’t crosshairs while saying bullseyes are bulleyes.

Keep your logic in check please (-:

    T-PARTY FOR LIFE!!!!!!

    • wandamurline

Yes, and if you do a little research, you will find that the Democrats used the same thing in 2004…and they called them “targets”, only the liberals can use something and then condemn someone else for using the same thing. Well, that is why they are liberal socialists….they yell fire all the time….everything that has to do with undoing an injustice to the people like Obamacare, they start their rhetoric and pointing out that it is for our own safety…bull…it is for control of the masses and power and money.

      • JUKEBOX

The liberals will have to start calling TARGETS, “VISUAL SIGHTING AIDS”.

  • Glenn Bax NJ

If Sara Palin doesn’t think what she’s saying or doing is irresponsible then why were her people so quick to take the cross-hairs map off the web site so hastily?
Of course this guy is a nut case but how many more are out there? It’s bad enough when they hear the voices in they’re head’s telling them bad things. But what happens when those voices are real and broadcast over the media?
Everyone’s waiting for him to say weather or not the cross-hairs made him do it. That answer may never come from him! But we are all afraid of what these influential politicians are saying and how they are saying it.
I think they’re afraid also, that’s why the cross-hairs map was removed so quickly? Not so much because of the fear of more random people getting hurt or killed but because of the political consequences.
The very next day a clear statement should have replaced the cross-hairs map with a heart felt sincere apology that if this was the cause of this tragedy I am truly sorry! Not, “the shooting was not my fault”. It broke my heart to know that 9-year-old Christina Green was killed. Doesn’t Mrs. Palin have a very young daughter also?

    • wanda

      Glenn Bax NJ
      You are soooo right.

    • bhscpa

“Everyone’s waiting for him to say weather or not the cross-hairs made him do it.” Are you nuts? Where are the facts that suggest the loser might have looked at Palin’s website? It’s like Rep. Cohen’s theory: say it enough and people will believe it. Leave it to the masters of progressive propaganda.

      • meteorlady

        Well said…..

    • Delores Smith

      GlennBaxNJ
They took down the cross-hair chart to replace it with the Democrat chart that “targets” people. The shooter admitted he never watches Television or Radio. How could anyone but himself? I think I know your problem. Sarah Palin shoots straighter than you do. It’s an ego thing, isn’t it?
      Delores Smith
      Delores109@cox.net

      • Lewis Munn

        Very good point.

      • smilee

He isn’t talking so how can you say he said he does not watch TV, most likely BS

      • JeffH

Delores, it was an alleged friend of Loughners that made that statement in an interview.

A high school friend of the accused gunman dismissed speculation that Loughner’s alleged rampage was sparked by political passion.

“He did not watch TV, he disliked the news,” Zach Osler said. “He didn’t listen to political radio, he didn’t take sides, he wasn’t on the left, he wasn’t on the right.”

Osler said that Loughner was angry at the world.

“He wasn’t shooting people, he was shooting at the world,” the friend said.

        • http://deleted Claire

JeffH–Thank you for your post. Finally, someone (You) has the decency to post what is accurate. Neither party had anything to do with this murderer’s rampage. He is a classic nutjob just like the Ft. Hood shooter.

    • wandamurline

She took it down to try to get the liberals off her butt. She has been raped by the news media for everything since the day she accepted to run for vice president. They were so relentless, even after the election, that she finally left her position as governor so the state would be able to function.

      • eddie47d

        Nice spin Wanda.

      • JeffH

wandamurline, and those are the facts of the matter…without the liberal spin!

        • eddie47d

Now it’s a double spin with Jeff’s input! Must be a Conservative dance step.

          • JeffH

You’re right, only it’s call the “Liberal Stomp”, something that Michelle Malkin does regularly!

          • eddie47d

She gets paid the big bucks to do that. Why don’t you sign up, for that is right up your alley.

          • JeffH

eddie, Thank You, I’ll take that as a complimant although I’m sure you meant it as a snub.

        • http://?? Joe H.

          JeffH,
I wonder how many liberal politicians could go through the intense investigation by the media, the police, and detectives that Sarah went through, have that many charges levied against them and come out as clean as she did??? Of all the trumped-up charges she had levied against her in court, she was found innocent of all except one misdemeanor!!! I really wonder if Nobama could do the same????

          • JUKEBOX

I believe that Obama, under his own signature and writings, has freely admitted to marijuana and cocaine use, which is a felony in most states, especially at the time he did it. Who the hell vetted him for his security clearance? It must have been Barney Fife.

          • JeffH

Joe H., you just made a good point, something that is convieniently overlooked by the lamestream media altogether.

    • JeffH

I’ll give the left credit, when they go after somebody, they get the job done, mainly with lies and mis-information or just not reporting the truth. We all know the lefty liberals are the nice guys and the conservatives, Tea Party and the right are the hatefull ones.
      Maybe not, ya think?

Check out this website if you have the guts. Want to see real hate by the progressive lefty libs…grow some cahones for a change and face up to what is really said by the progressive lefty liberals.
Michelle Malkin lays it all out, in real time.

Oh, before any of you start calling Malkin a sham, I’ll note that she tears you guys apart daily and she ain’t your friend…so have at it. Your negative comments will only reinforce the facts of the matter presented above.

      • http://gunner689 gunner689

That’s what happens when the media is on the other side, selective and biased reporting

    • castaway

The media is a very powerful thing to simple minded liberals who have not the brain power to think for themselves. Hence, the reason liberals are drawn to socialism. Cross hairs, who needs em? Look down and do you see the red dot over your heart?

      • Lewis Munn

Nah, as a Conservative, according to the Liberals, I have no heart, nor any brains, so I should never be killed by anything!

    • JUKEBOX

Yes she does, and all of her children have been “TARGETED” by the liberal and tabloid press in one way or another.

    • skip

Ron – is that sort of talk the best you can do when people write a reasoned response? No wonder this country is in such a mess. Civil discourse will go a lot further – give it a try!

      • bhscpa

Reasoned responses rarely come from the agenda-driven progressives.

        • JUKEBOX

Most progressives have a terminal case of rectal cranial inversion.

When the left becomes civil, we will join them. Don’t hold your breath … it ain’t a gonna happen anytime soon.

      • castaway

I have not read a reasoned response here yet. Only liberal rhetoric.Same as I have been listening to for over 6 years. Just more ignorant B.S..

        • JUKEBOX

Ignorance is when you have not learned anything, stupid is when you ar not capable of learning anything. Many progressives are dumb turkeys, and most of the rest are ignorant idealogues.

  • Kris

I don’t take anything that comes out of cnn seriously! Liberal loons own it and work there and most who watch are liberal loons! The lames stream media are doing the same thing to Palin that they did to Bush. Killing her, and why? Because she has balls and they are afraid of any woman who has balls and speaks the truth! If the killer in Arizona represents any party, it is the democrat party! Next comes the gun bans, never let a good crisis go to waste! They are writing bills now that will restrict free speech, is this what you want? The supremes basically declared the constitution null and void on jan 18, 2011. We are well on the way to dictatorship!Wake up liberals, your country is gone! Thankyou so much!!!!

    • Ian Burton

Ha “has the balls to seek the truth”; at BEST she is a self-promoting media harlot practicing only her own brand of “de docta ignorantia”, and at worst a shameless media troll, willing to abuse ANY platform to a far-right political base of no-government, which may or may not include insurrectionist.

And please follow your logic… “Dems want to take away guns because they HATE them” equals “dems are likened to the AZ shooter”. I think it is rediculous to say that they shooter was motivated by any politics, the news and many members of the democratic party were WAY too hasty in placing blame directly on Palin. You really can not try and rationalize mental insanity, because it isn’t an issue of ignorance or misdirection, it is one of biology, and saying that any kind of political rhetoric could influence him is outrageous (Although it’s still not healthy). And if it could have been left at that it would have been great, but instead the “bullseye” was brought to the attention of over-saturated ears.

      • James

Ian B., I agree. There’s no evidence that Jared Loughner targeted Rep. Giffords because of her politics. He shot her because people were lining up to speak to her, while he had no friends left at all. He is a mentally disturbed person who was insanely envious of people like Gabrielle Giffords.

        • I hate Jane Fonda!

yes…uh huh,Just ignore the fact that he went straight to a politician and shot her.Oh,he’s insane because he targeted one of our “blue dog”(you see me throwing the qoutation fingers up?)Democrats.Wake up you morons. He was and likely still is pissed off at the progressives.Everyone with good sense is.You people could screw up a wet dream, and I have a for instance…California! But the truth is that since you cannot see it coming,it will probably happen again. You are in what the addicts call a state of denial. But who do you choose to direct your spite at?A woman. That shows what cowards you really are! There was a time in America when I thought people like you had backbones….what a farce it all is.You have to pick on Mrs.Palin because you cant stomach the idea that someone who could kick your ass, might possibly have something to say.So you jump on the liberal coward bandwagon, and point the finger at her.You people are pathetic to the core.I wouldnt urinate on you if you were on fire.Nothing but contempt here folks for these progressive idiots….something they well deserve. My home state of California has been decimated by these charlatans, who claim to want to “progress”.Tiny minded wipers of other peoples bottoms,is what they are.Worthless to the bone.Is that scatheing enough for you progressove powder puffs?

          • Ian Burton

And please correct me if I am incorrect, but you really couldn’t be suggesting that he was politically motivated, it will happen again and for good reason because everyone with sense is upset with progressives?

Again Sir, I must IMPLORE you to realize that politics isn’t a dichotomy, there isn’t just the “right” and “progressives”. If anything more moderation in politics is needed and veiled rhetoric isn’t conducive toward the democratic process, cooperation is.

Engage each other with civility and the politics is sure to follow.

          • castaway

Excellent, to the point, and very accurate post.

        • I hate Jane Fonda!

Why do you think that politics isnt the reasoning for this man to start shooting? He walked directly up to a politician and shot her. If he isnt pissed off at politicians then he shot this one by accident? He didnt start out with just anyone in the crowd.Hello…. Your issue is that you lsten to the media spout what its told to say by the FCC.Narrow-minded folks do exactly just that. What you need to do is to understand that government is not the end-all-be-all of our nation. We dont like govenment intrusion on everything we do.We dont want their imbecilic laws.We dont want them to become all-powerful.We dont want them telling us what we should or should not do.We dont like Big Brother Sam I am!I felt the need to break this down so even you can understand it…hence the Dr.Suess reference. We have a referendum in this nation, right now.We can either contiue thinking like you do…tantamount to extinction,or we can do what we always did best which is to think outside the tiny box which you have reserved for your limited intelligence. This is a adult problem,so sit your infantile concepts back and let the grown-ups do the math. What we surely do not need is for slack-jawed idiots to keep treating us like mushrooms,a condition that the current power elite tries to perpetuate.Take it from an independent source here folks,he shot a politician because he was tired of the games he saw them playing with everything.Ignore this at your own political peril!

          • ValDM

He shot a politician because he had a weird fascintion for THIS PARTICULAR politician. He had been stalking her. What about this do most of you not get about this incident?????

Are the comments on this article for real? Do people really believe cross hairs and bulls eyes had anything to do with the shooting? Does any rhetoric have anything to do with an individuals violent acts? Since when doe we excuse violent behavior by an individual based on what anyone else says or believes?

I can’t believe uniformed individuals feel free to comment on something they no nothing about. The shooter if anything was a far far left nut case and not influenced by any political rhetoric or symbols that all political parties have used since the beginning of time.

    • Laurie, Haslet, TX

      • JeffH

…correction, a conservative cannot be on the far right. That would be a far right “winger”, something conservatives are not. Oh, by the way, Giffords was a moderate Democrat or what some call a “Blue Dog” Democrat.

In the context of this discussion this is well worth a read….

    http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/01/why_the_left_hates_sarah_palin.html

    • Angel

Well, that article was a piece of junk. Liberal hate poor ol’ Sarah because they are “jealous”! Hahahaha… “Yes, leftists attack Palin because they envy her beauty” Oh, yes, I’m sure that explains it. “Some conservatives believe that the hatred is a result of brainwashing; this is true, as well.” I think the right are the brainwashed ones here.

Stop being sheep and follow the money. She is not a true conservative – remember the bridge to nowhere???? She’s just another neo-con looking to siphon off money from taxpayers to help her cronies. Good riddance!

      • Lewis Munn

I suppose Obama is such a hero because of his beauty?

      • http://gunner689 gunner689

This is your brain on drugs. hint: don’t smoke dope and try to write a letter.

  • CL38

What a skewed picture this piece paints. Palin has consistently used violent rhetoric to ramp up the vitriol over the past two years, comments about lock and load…and reload and many other incendiary statements.

She’s more than earned this unpopularity. As for a run for the Presidency….I can’t imagine this ill-informed, negatively-focused, destructive, self-serving woman as President. If she runs and actually gets any votes, it speaks to how far our country and educational system has sunk, after a decade of Republican control under Bush. Republican policies, among many other destructive actions, targeted our educational system, setting up “No Child Left Behind” only to intentionally NOT fund it; Republicans have cut other educational funding and dumbed down educational standards to the point where some actually think Sarah Palin is a viable candidate.

    Shame of Republicans.

    • Bruce D.

We have already seen how far the country has sunk by electing Obama. Shame is something the left has no clue about because their spin keeps them from feeling any.

      • Sally

How far the country has sunk? Really? The stock market has recovered, jobs are coming back, the auto loans worked and have been repaid, we have not been attacked on our soil…Obama’s policies have IMPROVED things, greatly, for all of us. Yes, unemployment is still too high..that will take time. I’d suggest a little patience, or should we begin demanding that the new proud House majority party fix everything by next week, too?
We are not scared of Sarah Palin. Her numbers are sinking and her book sales tanking due to her own efforts. She has nothing positive to offer. She hates half the country, a great trait in a President, huh? She is never wrong (shades of GWB) and takes advice from no one. She is afraid of the media, so afraid she refuses to be interviewed. So keep dreaming of a Palin in DC…that’s all it is, a very bad dream.

        • Bruce D.

Judging by your post Sally is you that hates-not Sarah Palin. Jobs are not coming back and there was a successful terrorist attack at Fort Hood. When you give away three trillion dollars in two years their will be people who will benefit. The Federal Debt Clock projects Obama deficits to be 22 trillion by the year 2015 if he is allowed to continue what you think is good policy.

        • Laurie, Haslet, TX

No Sally – We are not recovering. AS long as unemployment is still in tne MILLIONS of people – we are not recovering.

This mess started with CLINTON, was inherited by Bush who is also did nothing to FIX it. In 2 years – OBAMA has done nothing to FIX it.

        • Lewis Munn

What do you call the invasion from Mexico, so dangerous the President has had to maker parts of our country banned to US citizens?

Maybe this is just a minor “police action” too big for the whole US government to take care of and stop??

        • JUKEBOX

Sally, Sarah doesn’t hate half the country, she just disagrees with the liberal population of the left coast and the other reinforced bastions of liberalism. The liberals seem to have a monopoly on hate lately.

        • Doc Franklin

You seem rather pleased with how things have “turned around” so I won’t totally destroy your bliss by telling you everything (Oh, by the way, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain) but, the value of the dollar has dropped roughly 16% since the Messiah was sworn in, he has whizzed away $3.5 Trillion in the past 24 months and in spite of that, the real unemployment rate has climbed from 8% to just shy of 20%, inflation is running at over 10% in real terms on consumables and the family piggy bank (home equity) has evaporated due to average price deflation of roughly 40% nationwide and in some areas, it is considerably higher. By the end of 2011-2012, Deutschebank says at least 60% of home mortgages will be under water and the figure could reach 80%. Car and home sales are subterranean. Fuel prices have sky rocketed and could reach $4.50-5.00/gal by Summer. Of the miniscule number of jobs that have been “created”, their average cost was approximately $285,000/each. Bond prices are on the precipice and in real danger of collapse and the stock market appears way overbought and the Dow could fall to the 9000 level by the end of the 2nd quarter of 2011. You will likely see massive inflation in food prices throughout the remainder of the year. bottom line, things aren’t remotely as blissful as you’ve been led to believe. I hope your job pays exceedingly well, because you’re going to need it. Just for comparison, the unemployment during the Bush years averaged around 4.7%.

    • wanda

      to CL 38
You are so right. Sarah Palen isn’t running for president. She is running for Billion air.
She doesn’t care how many people she causes to die for her.

      • Bruce D.

You sound like one of those individuals Wanda that should be pulled in for a 72 hour evaluation.

        • Don

I agree Bruce D. and there is a few others, to many to name !!

      • Doc Franklin

Your jealousy and envy are impairing your ability to rationally cerebrate.

    • bhscpa

My wife had a decent job during the Bush administration. Then she went to school, got a degree as a radiology technician, graduated 2 years ago and, after sending hundreds of resumes in the last 2 years, is still at home with no job. So much for Obama’s job-creating skills.
“Palin has consistently used violent rhetoric to ramp up the vitriol over the past two years…” Compare her comments to someone like Alan Grayson, Rep Cohen (the Nazi guy), Harry Reid(the war is lost), Chris Mathews, Olberman. It seems that liberals are the kings of ‘vitriol’.

    • patriotpartisan

CL38, you are appropriately on the band-wagon with all the other hypocrites!! Now, we are just waiting for that wagon to go over a steep cliff!! Barry Soetoro can be proven, time and time again, saying violent or demeaning phrases against the Right; bring a gun to a knife fight, they can come along, but they have to sit in the back, show the enemy no mercy, when you want to make progress, u put the car in D not R… then when a Leftist nut kills and wounds his own kind, the Left blames the Right. Do u know of the story about living in glass houses?

    • JeffH

I’ll repost it for all the haters to reard.

      http://michellemalkin.com/2011/01/10/the-progressive-climate-of-hate-an-illustrated-primer-2000-2010/

Now tell me again who the real hater are?

      • smilee

You really get off on propaganda don’t you. Does this distortion make you feel good??

        • JeffH

It’s only natural that you would call this accurate record of progressive/liberal hate comments propaganda. I would like to think that no sane individual would want to be associated with such vitriol and hate and would try to play it of as just “propaganda”.

    • Lewis Munn

Somehow, in the education of my children, it was the Leftists that did the damage, dumbing down the schools, eliminating anything but the leftist religion, omitting patriotic history, even pushing leftist politics on the very youngest now, and throwing out any right-leaning ideas.

It is called “Right” for a good reason!! The junk and trash is what’s Left when you remove the Right! And on and on.

    • http://?? Joe H.

      CL38,
do the words “if they bring a knife we will bring a gun” ring a bell??? No? They were spouted by your hero Nobama!!!

  • Richard Barrow

Is there really one person in this country that would not react to
a false statement said about them.
Therefore, why should Sarah Palin not react????
Is she supposed to just sit there and “Take It”
If any of the persons on this site, were attacked in
this manner, they would react and quickly.

It is the Leftist that are at fault for the media attention,
and the gunman is at fault for the assaults and murders.

    • Bruce D.

I agree Richard. She is justified in taking a position. The left will continue their attacks with some other false charge. The left play hard ball dirty politics. They have no choice as their ideology will not stand up to close scrutiny. Obamacare is a good example of that.

    • wanda

Richard. If Sarah were right it would be ok to comment. otherwise she should shut up!!!

      • ValDM

Right in whose eyes??? Yours, because you are soooo right, or right in her own eyes? Anyone getting the kind of slanderous and libelous attention she has, should ABSOLUTELY stand up and defend herself. I’m not so enamored of Sarah that I think she’s the cat’s patoot, but I abhor the way the left has ATTACKED her.

      • patriotpartisan

When did freedom of speech get assassinated? Since when does political discourse only flow in one direction? Since Barry and his (offensive word removed) took office, that’s when!! You socialistic, liberty haters need to hop on a slow-boat to communist China where you’ll be happier… actually ur pathetic lives are so empty, even socialism wouldn’t cheer u up.

        • Karolyn

I have to say you win the prize for the most hateful person on this site. You have even beaten 141, which is quite a feat. I have not heard anybody use so many vile hateful words on one topic since i started posting here, which is at least 6 months.

          • eddie47d

His comments are rather mild compared to many I’ve read although i41 is still king. It is rather bizarre that they make disparaging comments to tell us how the liberals make disparaging comments. They can’t see the forest through the trees. Which of coarse means everyone is shouting and no one is listening.

          • http://gunner689 gunner689

    • patriotpartisan

There’s a saying; “When you wrestle with pigs, you get dirty.” That says a mouth full about this situation… The Palin family is best to let the Leftist propaganda parade implode and stay clear of it all.

    • Doc Franklin

With the Marxist media in this country, she absolutely could not win this one no matter what she did! If she retorted, she’s guilty and just trying to justify herself. If she kept silent, she’s guilty and knows it, otherwise she would be defending herself! Either way she can’t win in the liberals mind. But for me, I love the fact she won’t shut up, she won’t let those marxist pussies in the media shut her up, she won’t take their crap and she can not only take it, but she can dish it out right back, nice and thick. I love Sarah Palin, and it’s by no means all physical. This woman has brains, brawn and class with a capital C. Keep pissin them off Sarah!!!

      • JUKEBOX

I believe tha these vitriolic liberal pundits are pissin into a fan, and its blowing back in their face.

  • Jane

Not true – she has been criticized for making herself look like a victim of the attack. Had Sarah simply come forward and stated that she sympathisized with the victims families – and that this was not the time to make the situation political – she would have come out of this whole thing untouched. Instead she made the tragedy a Sarah Palin pity party. She is the victim of her own bad sense of timing and taste.

    • Laurie, Haslet, TX

No She is not a victim of the attack That is just another LEFT WING MEDIA NUT LIE

SHE IS THE VICTIM of LEFT WING MEDIA insanity. Within minutes – the LEFT was SHAMELESSLY blaming her and the Right for this tragedy and continue to do so after it has BEEN PROVEN the man was not politically motivated at all. The LEFT keeps SCREAMING violent rhetoric on the RIGHT – all the WHILE DOING IT THEMSELVES! They have not stopped.

While the RIGHT was praying for the victims of this tragedy – the LEFT was using it to further their ILLEGAL AGENDA.

Yet the LEFT will not stop the LIES and you JANE are stupid to believe any of it.

WAKE UP AND SMELL THE BS THEY ARE SHOVELING!

      • wanda

Laurie, that is a real pile of BS you are spouting. Anyone can see that it was political. Sarah cares for no one but Sarah. I think she should stay in Alaska and shut up.

      • Bruce D.

Good post Laurie. You are 100% correct on that.

      • Jana

Laurie, You are so right. There is nothing she could have done that would have been correct according to the leftists. What they don’t like is she is a fighter. She comes back swinging. I like that.
They want her to shut up and go away. Well actually, they want all of us on the right to shut up and go away. The answer to that is a great big NO!
NO I will not shut up, NO I will not go away, and Praise God neither will she. We will stand up for what is right and good in this country and even fight for it if necessary.

    • Bruce D.

It is you and people like you that should be pitied Sierra. Their can be no group more pathetic than the left.

    • Nikita63

Typical revisionist liberal history if ever I saw an example. From the day McCain named her as her running mate; the vitriol has NEVER Stopped. You are , like most liberals, dismissing the effects of long term hatred on anyone; particulary when it is as Vicious as it has been with Palin. You liberal protozoa have made allegations early on that her youngest child was her daughter’s, not Bristol, WILLOW! You have made physical threats galore, You have denigrated Bristol and her husband Todd and the litany goes on and on. Where is the outrage? Let’s face facts here. There is no one in this country hated more than Barack Hussein Obama for his arrogance, lying ineptitude, pantywaisted and effeminate so- called leadership and his disdain for American citizens and the Constitution and rule of law while actively diminishing our civil liberties and quality of life to supply entitlements to illegals, failing to secure our borders or Enforce existing law concerning them. Palin stands in oppostion to the perversion of our culture, the revisionist history and the socialist/communist hegemomny Obama and his minions so obviously espouse. Sarah Palin is not a victim of her own bad sense of timing and taste; she IS the victim of a dangerous and deluded group of progressiver nit wits. You can bet that if this kind of crap was being thrown at Obama, threatening his solidarity and private life, the Secret Service would; have been all over the perpetrators. Obama and all you liberals display the elitism which was exhibited in the olds USSR. The party never comprised more than 3% of the total population but they lived like the robber barons they were while the general public was tightly controlled with few if any civil liberties and a totally SUBSISTENCE EXISTENCE. Well, Palin and her supporters, will NOT allow Obama or you misguided misfits to wreak that havoc here. You may control the press, but you do NOT control the free citizens of the United States and, no matter what ties to China for any reason Obama creates, nor will yoiu, EVER!

      • Bruce D.

Good post Nikita. That pretty accurately sums it up.

      • eddie47d

Nikita63; You are everything you complained about and then some. Over and over Personnel Liberty sets you up and attempts to move your rage into action. This is the 3rd article on Palin in a week so they keep the flames burning. It works every time and the vitriol is here 24/7 and is expressed in spades. You have exposed yourself to long term hatred and have ran with it and I see no signs of anyone letting up. Your extremely vicious attacks on Obama/Reid/Pelosi/Gore et al. shows the uncontrollable anger. Do YOU care about the numerous death threats against Obama? How about Gifford or Judge Roll? Some liberal commentators are puke but your rants are more extreme and just as dangerous as any right wing commentator. You complain about robber barons but history has shown them to be on that extreme right in political views. So are you “calling” out these pirate corporations that have permeated our landscape? When are you “mis-guided misfits” going to stop controlling the talk shows and spreading your verbiage? I think you are the one trying to revise history!

        • Bruce D.

Why all the hate for Nikita, Eddie47d???? George Soros is certainly a left wing ideologue trying to destroy this country. Nothing right wing about him. There are right wing progressives like yourself Eddie. No doubt about that. But rich powerful left wing ideologues do not have the countries best interest in mind when they lobby Congress either. Regulations benefit bigger corporations as they squash free enterprise and force small businesses to go under.

          • JeffH

Bruce D., eddie is just the board harpy spokesman for these Marxist/socialist/communist supporting hate spewing liberals.

          • eddie47d

Hey Jeff, Go post your Michelle Malkin videos again and again and again. Couldn’t the righties’ get it the first time. More of your propaganda from the propaganda master.

          • eddie47d

Well Bruce; I only repeated and answered what Nikita printed so if I’m “full of hate” then she must be giving us a double dose of it.

          • JeffH

eddie, The “facts” cannot be “propaganda”. Have you even opened the link or are you afraid you might see something in it that you don’t want to see?

          • eddie47d

Stop feeding off of yourself Jeff I’ve known about Malkin for years and that has nothing to do with my response to Nikita’s line of crap. Are you sure cancer cells aren’t eating away at that mind of yours? Maybe your plumbing has backed up?

          • JeffH

eddie, I’m quite sure that should we ever meet you wouldn’t be so bold as you are with your name calling and hate. As for Malkin, can’t stand her because she “smacks” the liberal rhetoric straight down the drain doesn’t she.
That said, don’t you have some lies to tell your wife and kids, or do you only lie when you’re on the computer?

          • eddie47d

No lies Jeff, so there you go again lying about others lying. You are really creepy.

          • JeffH

Wow! Really creepy? You just can’t decide huh?

          • eddie47d

Okay,You are extremely creepy! Is that better?

          • JeffH

creepy definition: – unnerving through fear: unsettling because of causing fear, disgust, or uneasiness

        • Ted Crawford

Good try eddie but the Secrete Service has stated many time that obama gets no more death threats than other Presidents.

          • eddie47d

Nice try Ted;Wrong again ! So look it up. President G. Bush received 3,000 death threats every year for 8 years. President Obama has received over 10,950 death threats Per Year so far. You do the math.

          • JeffH

eddie, a little research goes a long way. Ted got it right!

The number of reported threats rose from 2,400 in 1965 to 12,800 in 1969. According to some reports, President George W. Bush received about 3,000 threats a year, while his successor Barack Obama received about four times that many. This figure has been disputed by Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan, who says that Obama receives about as many threats as the previous two Presidents.(source-wikpedia)

There have been a few reports this year claiming that threats are up drastically, which the Secret Service has disputed. Ronald Kessler, published a book this year claiming threats were up by 400 percent. The Boston Globe, in a story on a Congressional Research Service report, said Obama was receiving an “unprecedented” number of threats, stretching the Secret Service’s resources.

“The threats are not up,” Sullivan said, adding that they receive about the same amount of threats against Obama as they did for presidents Clinton and Bush.

At the time of the latter report, Secret Service Ed Donovan said that although Obama received a large number of threats during his campaign and directly before and after his inauguration, the number of threats was comparable to the past two presidents.

I’m currently reading the novel “Atlas Shrugged”, and I’m repeatedly blown away by the events in the story and how they parallel what’s happening now.

    • patriotpartisan

Apparently Jane, you missed the Palin family public sympathy -which is unnecessary to do, family prayers and such should be private, not media events- expressed b/c the Left was too busy screaming “murderer” and u couldn’t hear over the sound of the Left’s high horses parading around. Then when all the dust settles, Barry Soetoro and his Queen made a self-image boosting field trip to his awaiting fans in AZ for another ego filled,self-inflated pride contest. SHAME!!

      • smilee

        PURE GOBBLYGOOK!!

    • smilee

Right on Jane!! I do not recall any focus from Palin on the real victims in this shooting, only showing anger and poor me!!

  • eddie47d

Palin’s popularity has been steady but not that great. Her books and TV show has kept her in the limelight: although her political knowledge still leaves a lot to be desired. She has a right to speak her mind but should also take responsibility for hurtful remarks or any actions she takes. The same should be for anyone towards her.

    • JeffH

” She has a right to speak her mind but should also take responsibility for hurtful remarks or any actions she takes.”

Such a “middle of the road” comment. We all know where you sit eddie and it’s not in the middle. Maybe you could expound a bt on Palin’s hurtful remarks?

Again, in case you missed it.

So should you take full responsibility for incorrect and hateful remarks you emit. Here and everywhere else.

      • JeffH

        point to Lewis Munn…one up!

        • eddie47d

Point it out Jeff for your loose lips are going to sink your ship. If you want to call someone a liar at least be man enough to back it up…..and not your old re-runs of Malkin again. Must be cartoon time for you kiddies. I can’t compete with your nasty remarks and I didn’t want to bring this up but you love playing the left right card. Glenn Beck on June 6th 2010 told his audience the only way to get rid of Obama and Pelosi is to shoot them through the head. I’ve heard others say the same thing about what he says so take your Malkin and put it where the sun doesn’t shine….and stop being a low life by trying to live off of right wing slime. What a pathetic shill! I’ve denounced the left wing garbage but you keep swimming in all the trash the right puts out.

          • JeffH

eddie, you don’t like the facts so you name call and make things up to “suit your needs”. Did you not think I would research this comment from Beck? Did you insert the name Obama and Pelosi to suit your agenda?

“Glenn Beck on June 6th 2010 told his audience the only way to get rid of Obama and Pelosi is to shoot them through the head”

This is a bold faced lie, you know it and I know it…never said it, and yes, I read the transcript…on a progressive website so I could see it for what it was, then I went to the FOX archives and pulled up the complete transcript.

‘Glenn Beck’: Party’s Over for Democrats?

          • eddie47d

Sorry Jeff I read it too and watched the video. I’m no fan of videos but the written script did back it up. You can claim whatever you want.

          • JeffH

eddie, of course you’ll deny that you made that story up. Like I said, anyone can read the transcript, if it proves otherwise they can step forward. You still haven’t provided the “hurtfull” talk from Palin either.

          • eddie47d

Always trying to defuse the truth with your trashy lies aren’t you Jeff. You are worse than INSANE and you think you are so intelligent.Wrong again!

          • Doc Franklin

I read the whole transcript as well and found no such comment or even one you could bend and stretch and distort to make it appear that way. I have to cry foul. We’re dealing with pure unadulterated fabrication. That is really not surprising though, as one of the tenets of the Liberal/Marxist mindset is: “Why tell the truth when a lie serves the agenda?”

          • JeffH

eddie, I’m still anxiously waiting for the examples of Palins “hurtfull talk”.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            JeffH,
That’s the problem with eddie parrotting the progressive party line. When one does that and has nothing to back it up, there is going to be someone, sooner or later, that has watched or listened to what he is trying to BS his way through!!!

    • JUKEBOX

I never heard Obama take responsibility for any of the hurtful statements he has made, or his hurtful lies.

  • James R. Maxwell

Can someone explain to me since when did a Communist Nothing New ever amount to a hill of beans in the world sceme of things. The Left Wing, Socilist Liberals have a hard chill ever time the see Sarah because they know she would beat Obama in a race hands down. They will do ever thing they can to discredit her regardless of how low they have to go. Her openess, honesty and ability to talk to all Americans across the board is someting they will never understand and the fact that she enjoys live, firearms, hunting and is a pro-life person runs them up the wall.

    • Bruce D.

You are right James. The left will never understand Sarah Palin. The only thing the left understands is government coming into their poor pathetic lives and saving them from themselves.

    • I hate Jane Fonda!

      Well-stated.

    • JUKEBOX

The liberals are scared that Sarah might diminish their ever growing, self perpetuating bureaucracy, and they might have to find a job that produces something besides a larger debt.

  • J.M.R.

i see the libs are still at it, believe the lying dick-tater over someone that tells like it is and the truth. GO SARAH.

  • Bob

I still can’t believe how this woman scares the liberals.

    • I hate Jane Fonda!

She can kick their asses….thats why.

      • smilee

iF SO, THEN WHY DID SHE LOOSE THE ELECTION??

        • http://?? Joe H.

Because of the worthless horses patoot she ran with!!!

        • Palin12

dID yOU MEAN “Lose” the election, genius? Didn’t they teach you the difference between lose and loose union boy?

    • smilee

I’ve got yet to meet a liberal who is scared of her, Most hope she wins the nomination in 2012 as they ee her as a sure loss for her party, so whats to fear!!!

      • Palin12

OMG I thought we were rid of you after the thumpin’ the demoncrats took last November! Where have you been Smelly? Not that anyone missed ya.

  • Nikita63

liberals as a rule are lying, duplicitous , two faced slithering reptiles and like the serpents they are, can never just commiserate
or feel sincere condolences for the Tucson Tragedy but have to make a major issue over Palin’s terminolgogy while uterly dismissing THEIR OWN. Keep in mind that the Daily Kos and Salon were openly advocating Palin’s MURDER and then later praying for her death over a long period of time by terminal cancer! What kind of copulating rectal cavities are those of the liberal persuasion? Im my estimation as a moral , decent, God-fearing heterosexual father of three grown college educated children, I wonder what the hell has happened to a once great country because of these demented demigogues? This common practice of never letting a crisis go to waste is just a euphemism
for the typical Marxist ploy used to great effect against them by Joe MCCarthy in the early 50′s, known as the Smear Technique. Personally, I am outaged that such ugliness has come to represnt the deomcrats and progressive liberals in this country and their socialist welfare state mentality but more importantly, it is the vapid but unmitigated
vitriol the Left is UNCEASINGLY spewing in volcanic volumes that has
split us in to two warring factions, those of us who believe in the Constitution, the rule of law and American exceptionalism, faith in God and what was once considered morally decent as opposed to the perversion of the natural order. Rather than espousing death and denigration, liberals ought to look in the mirror and think for a few SECONDS! They might not like what the mirror reflects about THEMSELVES;but being social misfits they ARE, I DOUBT IT!

    • Ian Burton

So the concept of agape towards your fellow man has left you?

True theologians (and no I am not talking about money-hungry evangelist) understand that there is no evil in this world, there is really only ignorance in the face of God.

Intellectualism should be something that is revered and rather than chastising and bastardizing the opposition in every way, attempt to have a logical, reasonable discussion.

Anger is such a useless emotion.

      • ValDM

Evil DOES exist in this world., and true theologians accept that tenet. As long as Satan rules this world, and until Christ returns to claim his property (he holds the deed) on earth, Satan will use anything and everything to blind, deceive and twist the truth until you can’t recognize it. Intellectualism has nothing to do with it. That’s why it’s called a “spiritual war”.

        • Karolyn

There’s no such thing as Satan!

          • Stan Lee

            Karolyn:

Then, we’ll have to disagree. The presence of Satan in people is the absence of God in them.

          • ValDM

Since you’re a self-professed pagan, why am I not surprised by that notion?

          • Karolyn

Val – I have never professed to be a pagan. Where did you get that from? Just because I don’t believe in your concept of God? Open your mind a little. And why would you care if I were a pagan? What’s it to you?

          • http://gunner689 gunner689

That’s his favorite trick, making suckers believe he doesn’t exist. Sucka !!

          • Karolyn

Then he’s really gotten to you, Gunner, the way you talk!

          • http://deleted Claire

Sucka? I think that word could be applied to a lot of people, left or right.

      • I hate Jane Fonda!

1 Corinthians 1:28,NLT “God chose things despised by the world(thats you Ian, the reference to the world, not the despised part!),things counted as nothing at all,and used them to bring to nothing what the world (again you Ian)considers important.

        • Ian Burton

The world is possessions, attachment to things that are far from God. It is true that one COULD view the world as evil, in so far as it is not God, but it is truly distance from God that is sin (the idea of Evil in the face of God assigns a value judgment, and as God is wholly transcendent, there is only Him). To suggest that I am one driven by this world, I will not refute this, I have struggled with things but I am trying each and everyday to detach and reach solidarity closer to God, and frankly I don’t feel like I need to answer myself any further to you.

Read the Old Saints and Masters, Nicholas of Cusa, St. Francis, St. Augustine, St. Aquinas, and ESPECIALLY Meister Eckhart. I am truly sorry that you feel the need to express so much hatred, because that is in-and-of-itself attachment to this world. Remove images from your psyche and learn that there is only love Mr. Fonda.

          • ValDM

Sounds pretty “new agey” to me. Read the Bible and know God. You can’t possibly know Him any other way.

          • Jana

            ValDM,

You are right on. Ian is W A Y out in left field somewhere.

          • Karolyn

Val – One CAN know God without the Bible!

          • Ian Burton

Val I said nothing about disregarding the Bible, it is a very necessary tool that I believe was given to us by God. I could liken to what I was simply stating that I, and a number of very well known Christian Saints and Masters, believe that one must empty themselves of this world and of their self, so that they can be filled with God.

There is nothing “New Agey” about what I said either, earliest person I cited was St. Augustine(~400CE) and the latest was Nicholas of Cusa(15th Century). Christianity in it’s base (Pre-Constantine) was a very different thing compared to the commercialism of Christ today.

And beside that point, I’m not sure how one could defeat all this anger and animosity towards one another after [hopefully] reading the bible and [hopefully] identifying themselves as good Christians. People are going to have disagreements, as I am having one with you now, but I would never want to become angry over it, as letting anger in is letting this world in.

          • http://gunner689 gunner689

Karolyn; that’s not God you’re knowing. Sucka !!

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Ian burton,
” you must empty yourself of the world to truly know God”! Ok, then how do you know God if you are using a computer??? your computer is “of the world”!!

          • Karolyn

Joe – That made no sense to me.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            karolyn,
I didn’t expect it would to YOU!

          • Karolyn

I can’t imagine it making sense to anybody but you Joe. It’s totally off the wall.

        • I hate Jane Fonda!

The “I hate Jane Fonda” is a reference to how our military has been treated by the scribes.I dont know Jane Fonda in reality, but I do know that she will collaborate with communists and disparage our soldiers…evidenced by her willingness to do so.The scribes…one hardly needs to wonder why Jesus had odds with them.Politicians,Actors,Lawyers,Journalists….all part of the caste of scribes.Ever notice they flock to anti-God sentiment?I have a feeling its easy to tell why.Big money has its benefits,as well as power I suppose…but to deny God…is madness. But who needs God when you control the minds of so many, right?

          • Karolyn

It just appears that liberals are more active than conservatives, never mind whether they are actors, actresses, lawayers, etc. Also, what Jane Fonda did was a long time ago; and I believe she thought what she was doing was right. Also, do you notice that it’s all the liberal actors and actresses who are donating their time and money to causes around the world? Or are the conservatives just hiding their light under a bushel?

      • Karolyn

Thank you Ian. Anger only hurts the one who’s angry. I know people like that, and they are pretty damned miserable.

        • eddie47d

There’s a boatload of anger floating around in alot of comments. Hope their ship doesn’t sink.

          • libertytrain

Perhaps it would do well to look at our own comments and see if we too, are promoting these things. Sometimes it’s difficult to face the reality.

If we all had the couarge that Sarah Palin has, we would have a much stronger nation. We don’t! We (someone) elected as a leader, the enemy of the people. Now what do we do? Obummer is in no way as exerienced as Sarah Palin as a leader. Nor does he want to strengthen our nation. Instead, he plans to destroy our economy, then the rest should be easy. It is time to return to our faith in God who allowed us to have this nation in the first place.

    • JUKEBOX

Most of these liberals, including Obama, would not be able to survive a week in Alaska, much like Kate Goslin when she visited Sarah, and she had an easy time by Alaskan standards.

  • JKO

The shooter is a nutcase. His supposed favorite books were the Communist Manifesto – left wing – and Mein Kamf – right wing. No one is to blame but him.
All of us are faced with this c–p daily and very few shoot people.
Sarah nor Barry nor anyone else can be blamed for this.
As for Sarah I find it very interesting (as a conservative woman myself) that the first conservative woman who is placed as a VP candidate is so vilified, especially by other women. Is it because she has the audacity to stand against even those in her own party who go against things like the party line and, oh I don’t know the Constitution.
Could we list specifics that she has done wrong. Putting cross hairs or whatever on a website is political rhetoric and nothing more.
Finally, when Obama said something about “if they bring a knofe wwe bring a gun” and talked about kicking someone’s ass (his word) where were all of you then?? This is a viable bunch of rhetoric as well. Should we blame him for the shooting?? No. it’s Loughner’s fault and no one else’s.
AND it was liberals that turned the memorial into a political moment with T-shirts etc. I have never been so pissed off as when I saw people running with big grins on their faces because they were going to see Obama. This was about the victims and people turned it into a circus. The bummer for me is that I live in AZ and had to see it a LOT.
You want to talk about shame on America this was a case of shame.

    • I hate Jane Fonda!

First JKO,I offer my condolences for the treatment by our government of the state of Arizona.Secondly though we do not necessarily agree on the mental condition of the shooter,I will say that for others to politicize the tragedy is quite dangerous. My opinion is rampant on this board and though I may be considered ineffectual by others,I tend to witness through peaceful motive. My intent is to educate, not incite, even if I am hard edged. The liberals arent concerned with the truth when commenting on Mrs.Palin, but are busy “poisoning the well”,a technique which(in spite of a former poster that I will not mention)is often overlooked as a staple of the left.If there are enough negatives spewn out about her then they believe it will doom her prospects of any kind of political future. It has nothing to do with their “supposed search for truth” in the matter.Lastly the Obamantion will make anything he does seem like its the blessed coming of the Messiah. They are more concerned with imagery than with character.Did you ever notice that their Presidential choice is a media whore?Dude is seen way too much for this American. What happened to seeing presidents basically only when something important is happening? He has been coddled into celebrity because that is what the left wants, someone to mold as they see fit.Shameless and laughable if you ask me.

      • eddie47d

No, We were kept in the dark on many occasions under G Bush and he pulled the wool over our eyes a few times. The American people begged Bush to be more transparent and open. He was neither. I agree Obama doesn’t need to be in the limelight so much. You don’t have to agree with him but at least he let’s you know it’s coming.

        • http://?? Joe H.

          eddie,
Yeah wright! Just like “I guess we’ll have to pass it to see what’s in it”! just like all those closed door meetings after he promised that they would be on CNN!!! Gee, my TV must not have been working that day!! sorry dude, I don’t fertilize my garden till about March!! Send me that BS then!!

          • JeffH

Joe H., eddie is 1/2 right(err..left), Pelosi did say the “we’ll have to pass it…”comment.

BUT and it’s a big BUT…Obama did promise transparency AND lied and: Addressing President Barack Obama at the GOP retreat Friday, Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, asserted that the president reneged on a campaign promise to broadcast all health care debates on C-SPAN.

Bottom line: While many hearings and debates have been broadcast, key informal conference committee discussions – where any deal between the House and Senate will ultimately be brokered – are not open to the public or media, giving credence to Chaffetz’s assertion.

            eddie,
If he didn’t agree with it, then why didn’t he correct her on something as important as his healthcare(?) act???

    • Doc Franklin

The “memorial service” was filled with hand picked Obama supporters and it disgustingly played like a political or Oprah Winfrey rally. You have to understand the deep seated psychological needs of Obama to understand why this had to be a rally for him, and why he has to plaster his face all over the television every single day. He never got the strokes he needed as a child growing up. Both parents abandoned him and he was raised by his grandparents during the most critical formative years psychologically. He was placed at the knee of Marxists and radicals who by his own admission, became his surrogate father figures. Because of this large emotional whole created by being a “black” child in a white world, where his primary emotional support abandoned him, and the sympathy this generated in those around him, his self esteem was blown way beyond his accomplishments, he was never told no, and false adoration was showered upon him, in an attempt to make up for his real parents indiscretions. This created his deep seated narcissism and superiority complex. Because of this, he truly believes he is superior to everyone else on the planet and that he is infallible. His own perception of himself is that he is a god. As a demigod, he believes he deserves to be worshipped and in fact he demands that he be worshipped. This of course is the psychological makeup of many familiar historical figures such as Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Kim Jong Ill, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, Jim Jones and others. I can assure you his deepest desire is not just to be the loved and worshipped “benevolent” omniscient and omnipotent dictator of the United States, but the first dictator of planet earth. Laugh and chide if you will, but this man is more dangerous than you can possibly fathom and his tolerance for those that don’t share his vision of himself, if given a chance, will cease abruptly.

What poll? I did not recieve one! And if I did I would vote for her! She is not the problem. I talk like that also, and I don’t see anybody out shooting going to shoot someone. The liberals are looking for a scape goat. And they think if they can hammer Palin, then she might not run for president. Well, you people out there look at another case fox news talked about the other night on a bulls eye, and it was a liberal cause, and they had a bullseye and a smiley face and they won’t take it down either. Will someone blame them if something happens? Oh NO! Seems you people do not see the light. We need someone that is willing to stand up for the people and quit bad mouthing the ones that are trying to keep our constitution together, and keep us from terrany. We need to stand together and get someone in the white house that is going to stand up for the people and keep america free.

    • eddie47d

This issue has been brewing for years and quit awhile before Obama or Palin were on the scene. Both these “characters” have made ridicules comments and should have zipped their lips on more than one occasion. The anger is mostly aimed at talk show hosts and newspaper pundits who sprew their bile. I know, the money is too good for them to stop and we all get a kick out of their Shock Therapy. If that is what you want then it will continue. It’s kind of like pornography or violent videos. As long as there is easy access to to these venues they will get used. It’s not all bad but can be addictive. On the issue of Obama using the Tucson tragedy to score points the argument get’s rather lame. Any President should be expected “to use” a tragedy and it really can’t be helped. In 1986 Reagan “used” the Challenger tragedy as a back drop and rightfully so. Clinton did in 1995 with the Oklahoma City bombing and Bush certainly did with 9/11. They all showed respect in a difficult period and we shouldn’t expect anything less.

      • I hate Jane Fonda!

The Oklahoma bombing was precipitated by events which are never mentioned by the left. Why is that?I do not condone mass killings but I dont condone mass idiocy either.Thats what you get from the media and the press, mass idiocy….when will people look between the lines of the newspaper and wake up?Sheesh!

  • rjim

Isn’t funny how people can’t handle the truth, which in my mind is that Sarah is a very real and strong person and she has my full support. The Democrats/Liberals/Socialist Party is destroying both the American culture and this great country. I feel sorry for our kids. The last place of Liberty in this world is fading fast.

  • Roland Kiesow

Why don’t you libs just leave this democratic country & go to Europe where socialism isn’t working? That seems to be the life you want to live. The Az. shooting is way out of proportion, along with the remarks made by the news media & Dupnik, or Dope Nick! Sara had as much to do with it, as I did. This country is headed in the wrong direction in many ways, & the democrats & libs will blame the conservatives & patriots for the downfall of what once was a great, God fearing nation. Then Oboma can say, how do you like me now! Wake up people!

  • Stan Lee

I see a writer has mentioned the term “gin up,” as though this is a tactic common to Sarah Palin. Sure, when one has become so left-wing media-driven as to look forward to attacking Sarah Palin whenever and for the most contrived reasons! Such a reaction comes as no surprise, we know how you all operate!
It’s been common knowledge and was related to Sean Hannity by Bob Beckle, a life-time Democrat strategist, that all campaigns in which he’s participated used symbolic targets, crosshairs, etc. to indicate where campaigns needed to concentrate efforts. There’s nothing new or peculiar about it.
It is so myopic for one side to lambast the other over such an issue.
But, when you’re living for the moment to demonize another person or Party, then we end up with such CNN polls, upon which left-wing minded people are willing to stake their integrity. CNN can hardly report accurate news!
If you have a preoccupation that drives you insane that Sarah Palin inhabits a portion of this earth as you do, you have a real mental problem.
The Republicans, Tea Partyers, and the many Independents that have sided with the Right, will choose their own candidates.
You leftists and Democrats should be concerned with fielding what you think is decent, you really have nothing but incivility to contribute to Republican choices. You have already revealed that you are inferior judges of all that is decent. Just consider what you have elected!

If you carry a handgun, you’re a pussy; end of story.

    • Bruce D.

If every one carried a handgun you can be sure conversations would be much more respectful. Gun safety and use of a fire arm should be a priority in any free society.

      • Lewis Munn

Works very well in Switzerland. The anti-gunners conveniently forget this!

Wonder why when we have the good results of a real large-scale social experiment to display?

There was a cartoon a while back, of a village where everybody was armed. A newspaper reporter was asking how they could allow this, with all the trouble it would cause?

The reply was, “Who would start trouble in here?”

Too true to be funny, too.

    • patriotpartisan

“handguns are for pussies”; police and military carry them, and when those “pussies” aren’t around to protect you from the “nuts” who murder indiscriminately, then who’s “man enough” to stop a bullet… you? Another gun owner, that’s who, u pathetic liberal jerk-off!!

I’m located in a traditional Democrat-controlled city. I have been to many political gatherings, either out of personal choice or curiosity regarding “the other side.” Not wishing to hurt anybody’s feelings, but having been in the crowds, having witnessed the obscene shreiking against Sarah Palin, I could not help but conclude that homely women are just plain jealous of her.
Up close and personal, I was impressed by her appearance and demeanor. She’s beautiful, smart, and down-to-earth, no snob is she. And, Mrs. Palin is a real Mom and wife. She may or may not ascend to the Presidency, that’s up to a nation, not Democrats or CNN, but she’s no phony and I’ll bet she can produce her birth records and all else requested of her.
You Democrats keep on voting for “mystery candidates,” that’s what you’re about, I like my candidates with all that they are on the table.
We are not playing that game, “Queen for Day” with our nation’s future!

    • Ian Burton

It is true, it seems that both sides have been far too marginalized in their beliefs, and perhaps one thing that can be taken from this whole fubar ordeal is that we need more moderation in our discourse. The shooter was not politically motivated but we have hopefully been given the insight that we have been to extreme.

After all, what is civil service without civility? If the people take steps towards moderation, the politics will surely follow.

    • Doc Franklin

You’re right, jealous, fibonacci ratio challenged, vertically and gender challenged, synaptic deficient things masquerading in the Democratic Party just can’t stand the fact that no one wants to see them on a calender.

    • http://?? Joe H.

      stan Lee,
Very good post and I’ll tell you one more reason I admire her. I have a handicapped son, and I know what it takes to take care of him. the cost in money and and physical endurance are quite staggering. I don’t wish for pity from anyone as I love my son and wouldn’t lose him for anything on earth but it is a very trying life and I suggest anyone that doesn’t think so go to their local special needs school and volenteer for a week, take that week and multiply it by three, then add to it a modicum of heartbreak then you might START to have the barest idea of what it’s like!

      • JeffH

Joe H., God bless you. Your son is very lucky to have you as his father.

I can remember how certain nasty liberals started attacking Palin and her children on this website way back when. Everything and anything they could make up they’d post. It was despicable and very personal, without any knowledge except what the media told them. It really opened my eyes to the deep hate that can overcome some people, particularly the liberals.

      • Doc Franklin

Joe H. Although I don’t know you, I have tremendous admiration for the parents of handicapped and special needs children. The investment of time, money and emotion is immense. Not only does it bring you much heartache, it also brings a special joy that only a parent of such a child can truly understand. It takes a unique and dedicated person to provide the care that these children must have. I can’t help but think of Kim Peak and his father, what a special bond they have. Neither could enjoy life without the other. You will have many days ahead filled with pain and joy. I sincerely pray that God will bless you, your child and your family in an exceptional way and that all of your hopes and dreams for your child come true.

  • Floridagrammy

If anyone can provide one speech or interview where Palin didn’t speak her hate and violence rhetoric. Since the day she stepped onto the stage at the GOP convention she has spewed hate, violence and lies…24/7. Just show me one speech or interview where hate and violence are not included and I’ll back down. Until then my feeling is that Sarah deserves all the negativity she’s received since the massacre.

    • Doc Franklin

So name one. I want to hear the lies, I want to hear the hate speech she spews. Since she does it 24/7 since she’s been on the political stage, this should be easy for you. I’m certain you have no animus towards Sarah simply because she intelligent, articulate, well educated and certainly not because she is quite attractive and sexy (unlike your favorite Democratic icons like Pelosi, Sotomayor, Napolitano et al).

      • smilee

HAVE NOT BEEN PAYING ATTENTION TO ANYTHING HAVE YOU!!

        • Doc Franklin

Alright genius, let’s hear the litany of charges!

          • JeffH

            …lol…

          • http://?? Joe H.

Chirp, Chirp, Chirp!!! sounds of silence!!

    • patriotpartisan

Granny, your Depends are too tight, apparently… ur getting very crabby! The Left spun this shooting just minutes after as a Right wing action; if that’s NOT irresponsible, then I truly pity u Lefist ass-hats!! The shooter has been clearly linked to ur warped side of the political fence, where commie ideals are celebrated and taught as social norms or status quo for those who “care” about others; all the while u libtards have no problem blaming a person for another’s actions. Despicable!!!

      • http://deleted Claire

Depends? How crude and disrespectful. If you live long enough you may have to wear them yourself.

        • Doc Franklin

I guess that just “Depends”, now doesn’t it!

          • http://deleted Claire

Doc Franklin–Yes, it just “Depends.” I stand by my comment. I am not a person that will “back down” to anyone or anything.

    • JeffH

-grammy, but not my grammy…want to see some Palin “hate”?
      Here it is!
      http://michellemalkin.com/2011/01/10/the-progressive-climate-of-hate-an-illustrated-primer-2000-2010/

      • Ian Burton

        And that is useful?

I will ALWAYS condemn ignorance on either side, but you can not address it with hate.

        • JeffH

Ian Burton, did you open the link and view the content?
The content is very useful and exposes the hypocrisy of the very same people crying “foul” who have been accusing Palin, the Republicans, Tea Party and conservative as being hateful and advocating violence.

Every liberal/progressive needs to take a long look at that information as a reminder of who they really are. Maybe then, we might start seeing a little more civility but I’m not holding my breath while I’m waiting.

          • eddie47d

Not again Jeff!! You love shooting yourself in the foot. Is this the 6th time now??Both Sides spew bile;are you ever going to understand that or do you have a learning disability?? Back to Glenn Beck: Joked about poisoning Pelosi, would condone murder of Michael Moore, and has openly endorsed violent revolution. Now we don’t want to get into Ann Coulter and all the other loose lips now do we. It’s both sides Jeff! Now do you get it?? or are you just enthralled with spreading more manure over and over and over!

          • JeffH

eddie, Polly want a cracker? bbbaaarrraaaccckkk!

          • eddie47d

That’s what I figured more manure and silliness.

          • JeffH
          • eddie47d

If you get any denser Jeff they’ll have to make a brick wall out of you. At least you’ll be of some use.

          • JeffH

Brilliant. Eloquent. The output of an obviously formidable and probing mind.

          • libertytrain

Jeff – well said, was thinking similar thoughts.

  • Doc Franklin

Like I believe CNN’c poll numbers!!!!

  • msCoco

They are sooooo scared of you Sarah!!!! Keep it up!

    Palin for President!

    • Karolyn

The ony reason I might have for being scared of her is the fact that a bunch of wackos might just elect her president. That’s a scary thought!

      • JeffH

…and you claim to be open minded. To think I thought the “wackos” elected Obama?
Perhaps you’d like to expand the reasons for your comment, or are you afraid Palin might take away your government assistance?

        • Karolyn

Jeff – I work for my “public assistance,” and I worked all my life for my meager Social Security. My education is an investment in the betterment of society. Was that really necessary? I just don’t think the woman is presidential material, and that’s that! Sure, she makes a great “personality”, and I understand her views. However, she scares me. I see her as a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

          • Doc Franklin

The investment has obviously been an abject failure. Request a refund, better yet” We The People” request a refund

          • Karolyn

And you, “Doc”, are obviously not as intelligent as you’ve been making yourself out to be.

          • http://deleted Claire

Karolyn–I am not afraid of Sarah Palin. Loose cannon? Perhaps. I just do not think she is presdential material. Same with Michelle Bachmann and Hillary Clinton. However, if Hillary decides to run, I think we may be in for a surprise. She may win and America doesn’t need anymore trouble. As much as I would love to have a woman running for the office of POTUS, I wish we had a Margaret Thatcher. It is my own personal thought that we need a man in office–a true blue Conservative–especially with all the issues that have to be dealt with.

          • http://deleted Claire

Regarding Illinois politics–Fishy Rahm is leading in the polls for governor of Illinois. And he hasn’t settled his “residency” issue yet. Ten to one, he will be elected.

      • JeffH

Karolyn, 1st, “Social Security” isn’t government assistance.
Not necessary? Why the “wackos” comment? Oh, that’s right, you think because you don’t like Palin, everbody else that supports her is a “wacko”? The only thing scary about Palin is that she does advocate personal responsibility, something that YOU liberals have a hard time grasping…but what the hey, what do I know. I’m just one of those “wackos” you speak of.

        • Karolyn

Jeff – It’s little hard to hold one’s tongue when faced with what some people come out with here. I admit; I revert to improper methods sometimes when in the company of people who use those methods, but nothing like some of the posters here. Come on! Is it all really necessary? It makes no sense! Does it make us feel better? I don’t think so.

        • Karolyn

And as far as personal responsibility goes, I have never blamed anyone other than myself for anything that’s happened in my life. I just think that Sarah Palin is a loose cannon who would end up getting this country in a whole lot more trouble than it already is in.

        • JeffH

Karolyn, ” I admit; I revert to improper methods sometimes when in the company of people who use those methods, but nothing like some of the posters here.”

Are you saying that you sometimes “get caught up in the moment”?
Karolyn, this is a “conservative website”. There are people that come here from all spectrums of society with differing views and when they arrive, they get caught up in the moment also. Some are here for no other reason than to agitate and disrupt the threads, nothing more. I would hope you could recognize who they are. Some are always going to say stupid thing, some are more calculated, some are more hateful.

You go from thread to thread and you will see that the liberal/progressives make many more hate filled comments than non-liberal/progressives. There are a few “regulars” that say stpid stuff no matter what, but I’ll guarantee you that this lack of civility by the liberal/progressives preceeded my arrival and I’ve gone through various levels of responses until I reached my “comfort” zone.

I’ll stand by what I say and I will admit when I’m wrong, but I won’t back down, cower or hide and will take responsibility for what I say head on…more often with the facts. Oh, believe me, I’ve shared a few personal things around here and the haters have personally attacked me without accuracy, twisting and lying, and fabricating said information to suit their need to make personal attacks.

Screw ‘em all I say! I’ll fight fire with fire and I won’t give an inch when push comes to shove.

          • eddie47d

What a load Jeff,it must have all came out at the same time. “You’ll admit when your wrong”? Oh please,do start! Take responsibility for your silly put downs? Never and they always seem to get worse. Some times you’re as arrogant as someone cheating at a poker game and trying to do it with a straight face. You love agitating and disrupting plenty of folks so were you talking about yourself? Is that calculation out of the Alinsky playbook too?? LOL

          • JeffH

eddie, I’ve given you dozens of opportunities to prove me wrong and the best you can do is act childish and name call? LMAO!

          • eddie47d

Your as ditsy as a blonde in a whore house!

          • libertytrain

eddie another “intelligent” comment – and you accuse others?

          • http://?? Joe H.

            eddie,
I have been trying to keep my inflamitory retorts to a minimum since New Years and even have tried to not mess with the screen names. I have been watching your and JeffHs comments for about a year and I would have to say that JeffH has merely been returning what you have been directing his way. You even jump in when he is posting to someone else, never missing a chance!! In closing, I would say it is YOU who needs to examine your retorts!!

          • JeffH

…eddie opens mouth then inserts foot…

          • eddie47d

Now we have double liars Joe and Jeff! I think you have it backwards Joe so next time pay attention!!!

          • Doc Franklin

I will make an unbiased observation. Although eddie47d pours out the accusations by the bucketful, I have yet to see him document a single one of them, whereas JeffH posts links to articles that refute the allegations of Mr Ed. Your problem is obvious!

  • http://aol Bill

I’m a hunter, and a surveyer by trade. They sure look like rifle crosshairs to me. My sextent looks a lot different than Palins crosshairs.

    • Stan Lee

      Bill:
In my younger days, I worked for and with a surveyor. He used similar markings on every one of his surveying site charts. Those markings are only what one makes of them, as are figures of speech which are common to both organized sports events and military maneuvers.
I suppose we could say they’re in the eye of the beholder.

      • RHSchumann

And I guess you also reload your surveyer equipment?

        • Stan Lee

          RH:
Yes, exactly. When we were through surveying an area and were preparing to move on to the next site, my then employer, a graduate of West Point, told me “to reload” the vehicle.
          You are one perceptive person!

          • Lewis Munn

..And under the present administration, I cannot even get the cheaper reloads; been forced off the market in the interest of my personal safety, I am told. So now only the criminals have affordable ammo!

    • Doc Franklin

If you find the “crosshairs” issue that significant, might I suggest you could be in need of the same kind of counseling the paranoid schizophreic, sociopathic psychopath should have received (had the informed authorities acted appropriately instead of attempting to CYA ex post facto) prior to the heinous act he committed. Surely you’re kidding! I know you PC types are pretty sensitive when it comes to linguistics, but to attribute blame for someone “targeting” an area for getting the conservative vote out, or putting an area in the “crosshairs” for the same reason, is a pretty thin stretch that I have difficulty seriously entertaining.

    • JeffH

Gee Bill, all this talk about crosshairs seems to be splitting hairs.

Though there is not a shred of evidence linking Loughner’s actions to political rhetoric, Democrats seized the day by invoking Barack Hussein Obama’s Rule 1 from former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel: “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.”

Nothing more than a classic Alinsky tactic straight out of his “Rules for radicals”. Alinsky defined how to use a tragedy for political gain: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. The opposition must be singled out as the target and ‘frozen.’ … One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other.”

It turns out, of course, that Democrats have used much more inflammatory graphics, such as a “Heartland Strategy2 map on the official Democrat Leadership Council’s website, which identified “enemy lines” with tragets. (Oh, my)
      http://www.dlc.org/ndol_ci.cfm?contentid=253055&kaid=127&subid=171

A quick search of comments by Democrat leaders and liberal media talkingheads reveals a hefty strain of hypocrisy. Of course, were it not for double standards, liberals wouldn’t have any at all.
Obama: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”
Biden: ” “If I hear one more Republican tell me about balancing the budget, I am going to strangle them.”
former Demo Rep. Paul Kanjorski had these words for a then-Florida gubernatorial candidate Rick Scott: “They ought to have him and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him.”

A few other rhetorical examples: From the official Democrat Party website: “The Democratic National Committee plans to target Republican John McCain.” From the website of Former Demo Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi, “Once again, the Republican Leadership has launched an attack on working families. The target this time is one of the cornerstones of protection for American workers.” From the website of Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), “It Really Is Time For Americans To Take Up Pitchforks.”

Headlines from Leftmedia sources: “Democrats Launch Website Targeting ‘Republican Lies’” (Washington Post); “A coalition known as Americans United for Change is targeting Republican senators” (NPR); “Obama administration officials said they were targeting Republican Senators” (CNN); “Dems Play Hardball: Target Republican Senators” (Huffington Post); “In the meantime, Obama will continue to target Republicans” (CBS); “I have to tell you, Rush Limbaugh is looking more and more like Mr. Big, and at some point somebody’s going to jam a CO2 pellet into his head and he’s going to explode like a giant blimp” (MSNBC’s Chris Matthews).

“So, Michele, slit your wrist! Go ahead! I mean, you know, why not? I mean, if you want to — or, you know, do us all a better thing. Move that knife up about two feet. I mean, start right at the collarbone.” — Montel Williams talking about Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) on Air America’s Montel Across America, Sept. 2, 2009.

On the Nov. 4, 1994 edition of PBS’s To the Contrary, then-USA Today columnist and Pacifica Radio talk show host Julianne Malveaux said of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas: “I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early like many black men do, of heart disease. … He is an absolutely reprehensible person.”

The progressive hate has been exposed for what it is, pure unadulterated HATE! America is wise to the Alinskites and their hateful rhetoric. Keep it coming, that’s all I ask, keep it coming.

      from Rules for Radicas
rule#5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.”
rule#7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time….”

“‘The organizer’s first job is to create the issues or problems,’ and ‘organizations must be based on many issues.’ The organizer ‘must first rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; fan the latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expression. He must search out controversy and issues, rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned enough to act. . . . An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent.’”

      • Ted Crawford

It’s helpful to have the othersides play book isn’t it! I hope more conservatives will read this book and also The Nation compiled by Cloward and Piven. It makes their tactics transparent and useless and they have no substance to fall back on!

      • Doc Franklin

Thanks for posting this “drop in the bucket” of left Marxist Democrat hate speech, which is truly hostile and inciting! Unfortunately, you could have posted many times over this volume of vitriol and the left would still ask you for proof. Ask them to find Conservative hate speech and post it, it turns out to be an empty box, but nevertheless, absence of proof, is enough proof for a liberal. It just goes to absolutely prove that the facts never get in the way of a god Liberal/Marxists beliefs!

      • eddie47d

Then Jeff why do you always use rule # 5? Are you a hidden Marxist? Your enemy is yourself.

        • JeffH

eddie, you’re just so brilliant sometime! ROFLMAO!

          • eddie47d

Thanks Jeff I knew you’d come around. LOL

        • http://?? Joe H.

          eddie,
thanks very much, I knew sooner than later you would prove what I posted to be right! He wasn’t posting to you!

          • JeffH

Joe H., missed you for a little while. Hope all is well with you and the family.

          • eddie47d

See how dense you two are. If loony Jeff wasn’t posting to me then why did he use my name? You both must have a pair of shoes in your mouths.LOL

          • JeffH

DUH! eddie, in case you missed it, Joe was referring to the original post which wasn’t addressing you and your name wasn’t mentioned.

            JeffH says:
            January 21, 2011 at 1:04 pm
Gee Bill, all this talk about crosshairs seems to be splitting hairs.

It’s apparent where your focus is and Joe didn’t miss a thing. Maybe if you paid more attention rather that jumping into something blindly you wouldn’t appear to be so childish and confrontational. But hey, it’s your life and it is you that is placing all of the attention on yourself which is really all you want, be it good or bad.

          • JeffH

Oh, I forgot…with all of your usual name calling too.

  • Aix Sponsa

OK trolls, let’s get “back to” the fundamental premise that each person is responsible for his own actions. Oh, that is contrary to the democrat and liberal philosophy, isn’t it.

    • eddie47d

That is not necessarily true and I see those on the right who are not responsible for much of anything. Both our comments are painting people with a wide brush and far from being a fact.

      • ValDM

The idea Sponsa was trying to convey was that the shooter was responsible and no one else. He didn’t watch TV, nor did he listen to radio. In fact, he has been portrayed to be Apolitical. So why don’t the lefties back down?????? This is NOT a political venue to spew your opposition. It IS a tragedy. Act like a compassionate, caring human being.

        • JeffH

eddie uses the “wide brush” only when it’s convenient.

          • eddie47d

….and you use B.S. all the time!

          • JeffH

…eddie, then just prove I’m wrong, afterall that’s what I do to you all of the time isn’t it?

          • eddie47d

Only in your mind Jeff,Only in your mind.

          • JeffH

eddie, at least I have a mind, unlike yourself…who could be considered mindless!

          • eddie47d

Your just like old man river..your mouth keeps flowing southwards.

When Sarah came to Ft. Bragg for a book signing in the very large North Post PX, the line stretched around the front, side, and back before she even arrived. I can’t think of another political personality who would have received a similar response from our fighting forces.

  • Floridagrammy

msCoco…I too want her to run for POTUS. It will make Obama’s land slide so much easier. Can you imagine how much fun it will be to see Sarah in a debate with President Obama. As the credit card advertisement say….”priceless”.

    • Stan Lee

Come back down to earth, please. I admire your loyalty, but you’re not talking about Superman. You’re talking about a guy who represents himself as an intellectual, but conceals every record of academic achievement he’s alleged to have completed. Furthermore, the two courses not taught at universities is “Common Sense” and “Honesty.”
Take away Obama’s teleprompter or PR agents’s prepared speech text, and Obama will either vote “Present,” or explain that “It’s above my pay-grade.” I guess that’s good enough for you.

      • smilee

REGARDLESS, SHE IS STILL OUT OF HER LEAGUE WITH HIM, SUSPECT HER NUMBERS WILL NOSE DIVE AFTER DEBATING HIM

  • Ramon

CNN is still a reliable source of info? After the defection of Glenn Beck and Lou Dobbs, they lost any semblance of sanity. Consequently, they’re no better off than MSNBC.

You know, it’s amazing how we continue to hear about rhetoric from the Right, and yet, most of the major news organizations and T.V. shows are ran by Left wing supporters. If they ever bother to take a closer look, they’ll see that everything they speak about, from their ‘civility’ to the insanity of begging for bigger government to do the bidding of the people. It’s all a mirror image of what they represent: Socialist Hypocrisy and the need for a Welfare State. I have NO desire to support these nut jobs that want Daddy Government to solve their problems for them.

That young man needed some help, and they never attempted to seek any for him. With all the details out about that shooting, you’d have to be a natural born fool to think this guy was all about politics. That website viral flick he was into, Zeitgeist, nothing about that film represents a Right wing supporter. Every bit of it comes from the views of a Left winger. This coming from a Libertarian supporter that left the Democratic party in 2000. When you grow tired of lies, you move into action to snuff them out.

And since when did we begin to judge an entire group of people by one person’s actions? Wait a sec, I do recall something faintly similar occurred back around 1927. In fact, the Katrina tragedy and this shooting in Arizona have much in common with this event in 1927.

It was the great flood of the Mississippi River and how it was handled by then President Calvin Coolidge (who felt nothing good could happen by visiting the area, and could only serve as a photo-op…) and Herbert Hoover (who attempted to cover up his actions when he took over the situation). And the Democrats took that situation and turn it into a political device to gain the Black vote. Fast forward to recent events and we can see them doing it all over again.

What does this have to do with Palin? Plenty, as a matter of fact. When progressives fear something is coming their way, they begin to obsess over it. They keep bringing the subject in mind up, keep the subject’s name in constant circulation til everyone is aware of what and who this subject is. Currently, the subject is Palin. They don’t like the fact that she is outspoken about her beliefs. And anything that can be used to damage her image in the mind of voters, they’ll readily use it.

Palin has nothing to fear in this situation. Because for all the events that have occurred since her name was brought up as a Vice President, none of those events have any direct connection by her hand. The only one attempting to place blame at the feet of Palin for the shootings are Left wingers. Those that can see the truth for what it is, know the facts and will react accordingly just like they did on 12 Nov 2010…

Truth is, while they’re focusing on Palin, there’s somebody even greater in the shadows. Regardless of how Progressives feel, their grip is slipping away.

  • Patriot

If Sarah Palin is not a force for how decent, principled people think and her words and popularity are meaningless, then why is it that everything she says and does are altered and taken out of context by the media? Why are they so afraid to put Palin’s and others entire interviews on their programs? When did the media become the mouth piece for the government? Why are they not reporting on the true hero’s in the AZ shooting? How about how great a Healthcare System and emergency response we have in this country, especially in this tragedy? These heroic deeds are not reported on, no the first thing reported on is Sarah Palin and her political map from last years election, who is crazy here, the American People or the Media? I for one have lost all faith in our government and our Media is a close second. I could never imagine a day when a dictator from Communist China was being hailed by our government leaders & the media elitists; this is hard for me to take!!!!

    • patriotpartisan

Well said!!! Maybe you should be writing speeches for the Left,
so we’ll hear news instead of the vile communist slander that’s “reported” lately.

    • Doc Franklin

The media is fawning over our own “American Dicatator”. Our press became a null set along time ago, and now they are nothing more than a fifth column marching for the Marxists that rule the Democratic Party and soon the US. The “watchers” have become our enemy. Quis custodiat ipsos custodes?

      • http://deleted Claire

        Who shall guard the guards?

  • Floridagrammy

Sarah’s constant lies are very hard for me to take. Is Sarah EVER going to sit down with anyone…other than FOX? Heck no, she knows her lies will be questioned.

    • Jere

I would love to see them sit down with John Stewart of the Daily Show. He has time and time again offered them a chance to be on his show and even offered to appear on theirs. They are far to afraid of being exposed as liars and bigots to ever do this. Until they answer the call to appear on something other than Faux News, they will continue to alienate the moderate and liberal voters.

      • Doc Franklin

It’s easy to sound informed and witty when you fabricate facts on the fly and quote apocryphal sources. A truly meaningful discussion or debate with John Stewart would be impossible as his forte is magnifying the insignificant minutia and minimizing the real issues. He is great at diversion, so consequently nothing of any real substance would be discussed and furthermore if it was brought up, he would condescendingly ridicule the importance of it, much to the pleasure of his audience and would quickly return to pointing out the splinter in his rivals eye, while denying he had a fence post stuck in his. He’s quick and witty, but he’s certainly no objective reporter. He’s agenda driven, pure and simple.

        • Karolyn

There’s a lot more to Jon Stewart than meets the eye. Have you ever seen him interviewed?

      • JeffH

Jere, I take it you don’t watch FOX and haven’t seen the Jon Stewart interviews…on FOX!

    • Stan Lee

      Grammy:
Why should Sarah Palin appear on any of the left-wing media TV shows?
Maybe in the beginning she was naive and impressionable that folks are basically fair, but they were nasty and sardonic to her. There is no reason for her to embellish their ratings at her expense. She outdraws Oprah!

So,she goes on Fox News, where at least she’s not dehumanized. It doesn’t mean they endorse her for the presidency. The Fox News ratings are so much better than anything you probably tune to, that you’re compromising your own needs to gather real facts, weigh the issues.

When Fox has a Conservative appearing, it also brings on a Left-wing view.
With the preponderence of viewers tuning to Fox News, do you think they’re all Republicans, Conservatives, and Tea Partyers? I think that would be a silly notion.
Think about the reasons for Fox’s rapid climb to the top of the cable networks, then consider why the rest are doing so poorly and most of the shouting and character assassinating. I think most of America rejects a steady diet of negativity.

    • patriotpartisan

Why would any self respecting person sit down at the trough of Communist News Network or any other Barry Soetoro ass kissing minion propaganda source and be “rotten tomatoed” by liberal chicken-hawks?
Does that make sense? Why does Barry NOT sit down with Fox? b/c they’ll ask him questions that no speech writer has answers for, leaving him to think for himself… which we all know puppets can’t do!!

      • Doc Franklin

Absolutely true! Without his teleprompter, he’s toast. There really isn’t much upstairs with this guy, he’s simply an ideologue marionette and George Soros pulls all the strings.

    • Doc Franklin

Again, with such a potentially huge body of “lies”, just give me one. I’m still waiting

  • http://www.appliedgeotech.com Carl

You liberals call good evil and evil good. You have tried and for the most part succeeded in removing all evidence of God out of public places and schools, and now you would try and remove this from our hearts,, but along comes a person, Palin, who stands for what is right and good to help salvage this country from you pack of wolves. You whine and complain like some child who has lost his toy. Just remember, when there is no more freedom and you have pushed the country down the tube, and incidents like the AZ case become the norm, you put America there. A country can not stand on your value system, like the great Roman Empire, it will collaspe…..thank God for Palin and what she stands for.
Sierra, when had you rather have a gun, when the burglar is breaking in to destroy you or wait till some one calls the law after its all over with and comes with their gun……simple question…you decide.

    • Jere

If you want evidence of god to appear in every public forum, you provide evidence that he exists and should be there. Claiming the left pushed the country down the tubes is laughable and shows how sheeplike you are. Let’s consider the decade from 2000 to 2010, the years which lead to our current state. How long was there a Democrat President? Ok, Republican? That’s right, Republicans and conservatives had 8 years to rape our country into submission, and now it’s the Democrats and liberals faults for not fixing it in 2 years? Change the station from Faux News and you might learn something.

      • patriotpartisan

O.K. Jere, we get it, u wanna be Barry Soetoro’s lap dog.. or should I say “bitch”? While you clearly don’t understand politics or follow current events, you do show the Left’s extreme hypocritical ignorance. While Bush was in, destroying your beloved socialist dreams of a welfare/nanny-state, who was in control of the Congress? wasn’t it Dems.? who sat back and let the avalanche build momentum? Oh, but that can’t be true, b/c liberal spin masters don’t throw accusations around while they live in glass houses themselves… do they?

        • smilee

a POLL THIS WEEK SHOWED 72% OF THOSE POLLED BELIEVED THAT TWO YEARS IS NOT NEAR ENOUGH TIME TO CHANGE THE BUSH ECONOMIC TRAGEDY AROUND, ITS MOST LIKELY A FIVE TO TEN YEAR PROJECT IF WE DON’T START CHASING OUR TAIL BY CHANGING PARTY EVERY COUPLE OF YEARS,, THIS WILL SURELY SLOW IT DOWN

          • Doc Franklin

Sure Smilee and another poll showed that the 72% who said 2 years was not enough were Obama’s Cabinet and Czars, even there, 28% said enough was too much!

      • Stan Lee

        Jere:

Ah, you take the aggressive tack with your challenge. I don’t think I can anymore convince you of God’s presence than you can convice me that there is no God. You are a declared atheist, I don’t criticize your choice, you’ve exercised that freedom which is yours.
I believe in God, God is my steering mechanism among other important things to me and mine.
I only bring up the matter of God on this forum, because you say there is no God. It is pointless to enjoin such dialogue with politics. It only becomes an endless circle.

      • JeffH

        Baaa, baaa, baaa!

      • Doc Franklin

Who controls spending? Who originates the spending bills? And who controlled those austere bodies? Who?? Your fellow marxist travelers, You Marxists never met an income you didn’t covet, a tax you didn’t like and a spending bill you not only shepherded, but made sure they all had more pork than an Illinois hog farm. Bush lied? Name it (define what a lie is to you first). Bush did push through the Prescription Drug Program which was a poor idea, at a purported cost of $50B/yr. He also started the TARP thing, both of which I strongly disagreed with. Your Marxist foreign national usurper friend in the White House, has pissed away $3.5T in 24 months (that’s over and above what was already built in to the bloated carcass of the Federal Budget. But hey, no sweat, your other buddy Ben can just crank the printing presses up another notch right?

    • Karolyn

Please, you must tell me, who is trying to take God out of your heart? Is that possible? That is where God belongs. Paying lip service doesn’t mean anything if people don’t walk the walk.

      • Doc Franklin

Karolyn, I’m confused! In one post you deny that Satan exists and in this one you’re talking about God living in your heart? Would you be so kind as to explain your take on that please?

        • JeffH

          …ahhh, confusion say…I’m confused…

        • Karolyn

Very simple. I believe in God or or a Higher Power, but I do not believe in Satan. In other words I do not adhere to the commonly accepted translation/interpretation of the Bible.

          • Doc Franklin

Do you believe Jesus Christ was the son of God and the Messiah? Do you believe any of the Bible? Just curious, not setting you up for a “gotcha” or anything.

          • Karolyn

I believe that Jesus was A Son of God, not THE Son of God, as are we all. I do not believe he is the Messiah. I believe that he was the most enlightened man that ever lived; however, I see him as my brother, not my saviour. I think the Bible is a great book that was corrupted by men of power for their own selfish reasons.

          • Doc Franklin

Jesus believed in Satan and in fact was tempted by him prior to his crucifixation. If you believe in Christ, and he believed in Satan, why do you not?

          • Doc Franklin

Jesus also said that the old testament was accurate even down to the punctuation the so referenced “jot and tittle”. He also said “I am the way, the truth and the light. No man cometh to the Father but by me’. Also in John 3:16, it clearly states: “For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life”. and “For by grace are ye saved through faith. It is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast”. How do you reconcile your beliefs with Christ’s own words, especially after you stated that he was the most enlightened man that ever lived?

          • Karolyn

Doc – I am not a Biblical scholar. I just know that there are those (many) who can explain these things with different interpretations of the Greek writings. Small variations in the translation of a word changes the whole meaning. Also, scribes made mistakes. I do believe that we all have life everlasting, as the spirit never dies and may, in fact, return in a new body if it so wishes.

          • Bruce

Karolyn, I understand what your saying to a point, but I find the logic very flawed. You see to hold that there is only one form of higher being is at best single sided.
Let me explain, just as we have an answer YES we also have the answer NO, thus we strike a balance. Just as we have ligh we also have dark, Night or Day a you see thats called a balance.
All humans must have balance if not then deeper understanding of complex issues is not going to interface well. Let me explain it again just the left brain controls the right hand and the right brain controls the left hand, This is known as a balance of interface.
With such one can understand problems that have complex values.

Again we come back to Balance, thus if you believe in Good then you also must believe in Evil, this is also known as perfect Balance.

  • Jere

In the end, Sarah Palin will be exposed for the idiot she clearly is. In her interview on Faux News with Hannity, she condemns the left for trying to associate her with the killer in Tuscon. I agree, she had nothing to do with it (at least there is no evidence she did). It was the fault of the sheriff that said it. HOWEVER: In the same interview minutes later, she, speaking about the gunman, refers to him as “possibly left-leaning.” So, she casually commits the very act which she condemns so strongly. She is an idiot and a cancer. Anyone who finds any redeeming quality in anything Sarah Palin does is the problem with America. I suggest you watch the full interview with Hannity for a good laugh. Make sure you note how she commits the very wrongs that she condemns.

    • meteorlady

Wow – you would have to say the same for Obama. EVERY SINGLE speech he gives is written by a highly paid speech writer. When on his own he screws up a lot so they don’t let him out to often. Wait, before you attack you also need to know that well known “journalists” from the more liberal networks actually wrote a lot of his speeches when he was running for office. The media didn’t even begin to investigate him because their feared offending minorities.

So, I look here and Chip’s news letter had a lot of other subjects but this is the one that gets the most comments. Wonder why? Palin is a home grown product of Alaska and she is not polished so she makes mistakes. Would I vote for her for President, probably not because she’s just not that type of material though she is tough and she has made quite a splash. I’m not sure why the hate from the left for her…. it confounds me.

Who the HELL cares what CRAPPY NEWS NETWORK thinks anyway,THINK for yourself!!

    • Angel

Hey, pal – there is no room for free thinking here. Get with the party line or go back to your commie commune.

  • Howard R Gray

Cross hairs and military metaphors have always been a part of politics. The left are the larger offenders on a daily basis with their penchant for militant agitprop both graphic and verbal. Remember back to the ban the bomb days with all those peaceniks dressed in sub guerilla outfits and their “militant” garb to suit the fashion of their communist agitprop demonstrations. Che in military beret is more offensive than any cross hairs ever and yet he is everywhere. The man was a murderer, as is the case with all communist icons. Pol pot never made it to iconic status, after all he murdered and directed the murder of over 3 million souls, perhaps for him T shirt emblematic status isn’t warranted. He wasn’t charismatic and he died in his bed, not so for Che. Violence is endemic in the left and couldn’t be more absent from the Tea Party folk, the attempt by the left to tar brush the T Party is a conscious malicious attempt to smear the organization to prevent its political success.

Sarah Palin, so the left would have you believe, is a dark and dangerous mass hypnotic demagogue. Give me a break! Now is the time to be unpopular, this is fine, the President has his moment in the sun as he moves to the center rhetorically. None of the poll numbers mean much. Remember the spending and the health care monster bill? We are on course to double digit inflation, for those who shop in the supermarkets you can see the costs soaring and we are told there isn’t any inflation. Give me a Kit Kat sorry another break! No president is likely to survive such inflation levels and dollar failure in the international money markets either. President Carter and Prime Minister Callahan went down at the polls on double digit inflation more than anything else, even their own supporters have pocket books and might swing away from personal bankruptcy and further job losses.

Being popular when it doesn’t really matter is fine, Sarah Palin, is innately popular and that is why the left try so hard to destroy her. Anything she says, the left amplifies out of context or relevance in the hope that it will destroy her chances. The fact is that she does not need to ever be elected to office; her mere presence can tip the balance for many electoral hopefuls and will continue to do so. She is very much a Meta Politician all she has to do is be near a microphone, TV camera or be in print to draw power to the Tea Party and those who believe in its tenets. This reality has the left boiling with indignation, how can a woman who is pretty, effective and a powerful orator be so effective? According to them she is innately stupid and should never be politically active at all like the rest of us regressives.

The left are rarely honest in what they intend or how they conduct political discourse. The President’s homily on good behavour in political life doesn’t hold water on the left, no surprise there. Banshee politics is the norm for them. The dip in Palin popularity is no problem; the crude attempt to corrupt the public view of Mrs. Palin is to be expected and now is the time for a calm dispassionate response to the ridiculous allegations of the left, every one of them they are more than guilty of themselves. Hypocrisy, never bothers them, they see the common people as stupid so why should they care if the are inconsistent? Even their own common supporters are not exactly wise acres either, the is such a malicious climate in left wing circles that at any moment even their own may be subject to purges and pogroms. This feature, perhaps more than most, advertises exactly why they should be barred politically from power.

The dip in Sarah Palin’s popularity will pass, what is more important is the dishonest and malicious discourse that surrounded the cause of the dip in her polls. An assassination attempt was the event, and no sooner had the blood began to clot and these fools on the left sought to besmirch their political opponents with a slime of outright deceit. The comments were ad hominem in nature with intent to destroy reputations with dishonest commentary. The President, in his own interest, moved to the center, a wise move for him. His cohorts of supporters on the left, fortunately for us, haven’t quite got it. Good! Centering his position Barak Obama will gain in the polls now, but his supporters have set the fuse for that to evaporate. Polls are fickle and many are less than credible as the questions often suggest an answer for an agenda rather than an evidential report of political opinion.

All that being said, Sarah Palin will rise again either to higher office or to even higher office as a Meta Politician boosting electoral fortunes for the many candidates yet to run.

    • Jere

The conservative right eats babies and practice satanism! See how I can make broad claims with no supporting evidence!

      • Stan Lee

        Jere:

Your “broad claim” prompts me to ask you about the following issue:
Most of the leftists I’ve run into are against the death penalty for capital offenses.
Yet, these same people have no problem with a death penalty for a baby unwanted by its mother who carries upon conception.
How do you, a demonstrated avid leftist, square such a contradiction where, on one hand, the murderer has taken life, while the baby in the womb is absolutely innocent? Thank you.

        • patriotpartisan

The timeless argument that abortion is murder is derived from the same ignorance that burnt “witches”, hunted down muslims and allowed Jews to suffer at the hands of fascists. Do you really have credible evidence or justifiable argument that “body fluids” without the ability to survive ‘as is’ are a life-form? Are wet dreams and masturbation “pre-emptive strikes”? Lets leave the Thought Police tactics to the asinine Left and concentrate on reality.

          • ValDM

Murder IS reality. Just because you are uninformed about when life begins, does not mean the rest of us are as deluded to accept your argument. Witch hunts? Really? Couldn’t you find something a little more recent for your argument? Science has since found the reason for witch hunts, BTW. It was a syndrome caused by eating moldy rye.

          • Ted Crawford

Explain then, why you will go to jail for destroying an Eagles egg!

          • smilee

Its not a matter of when life begins or weather it is murder of not, it is about who should have governance over the womb before the fetus can sustain life without the mother. Should it be the mother or the government? By making it illegal we only gain the right to punish those who then still do it. Leave it up to the woman and God and if he sees fit to punish her, then let him do it, Why does he need or help on an issue that has many sets of circumstances and is not black and white.

      • Lewis Munn

Any reports on how they taste? Or the right wine to serve with a baby? Serious questions that need answering!

Excellent post. Unfortunately the trolls don’t have the intellectual capacity to grasp the truths throughout your comments. Illegitimi non carborundum!

      • Jere

Let me make it easier on you; you yourself said “lies oft repeated do not make falsehoods into truth.” How true! Neither do opinions. All I see are opinions with no basis in “evidence.” Anyone can type a manifesto, but to back it up with concrete facts is apparently to hard for conservatives. All the above post says is “I really like Palin! I think it is unfair the way she is treated! She talks real neat!”

        • ValDM

How old are you? You sound like you’re still in grammar school. Leave the arguments to real adults, and get back to your classroom. Your Special Ed teacher knows you’re missing.

“How old are you?” This reminds of this old saying— “Old enugh to know better, too young to resist.”

Sarah, the outdoors’ Women of the Year, had to have her Dad put 5 bullets in her rifle to shoot a Caribou that didn’t run away after 5 missed shots. Was the beast tied to a stake or what? Finally, their other hunting partner, who obviously knew what he was doing, let “dead eye Sarah” use his gun and she killed it on the six shot. I’m not certain if the Caribou died from a gunshot or boredom.

And your drivel is not opinionated? That’s what I’m getting at. You sure know how to talk s–t. Do you know how to carry on an intelligent conversation or debate with someone who doesn’t agree with you? It doesn’t seem like you do. All you can come back with is trash talk.

        • JeffH

Karolyn, prefers the “turn the other cheek” method of submission rather than the “fight fire with fire” slap ‘em back harder method.

          • Karolyn

Turning the other cheek is not indicative of submission. It is much more powerful than violence. Look at what Gandhi accomplished through non-violence. Have you ever read the book “Power vs. Force”. Power is much stronger than force. Force is just louder.

Also MLK, look at the changes he made to our culture and politics without ever picking up a gun, what a different approach than our civil war and both changed our country drastically

    • Doc Sarvis

      Sprock,

      • Angel

        So true!!!!

  • Parker

The latest Palin scandal has me wondering if it’s really true that Todd has been having an affair with a “massage therapist” Shailey Tripp. It is a fact that Shailey Tripp who was arrested for prostitution in March 2010 did make a NON-MONETARY contribution in the amount of $900 to Palin’s campaign according to the State of Alaska Public Offices Commission website.

    http://tinyurl.com/6jzcvmk

    • Angel

I wondered if Todd swung the other way (especially with the way Rush gushes over him).

    • meteorlady

Sad sad sad……. That’s your intelligent comment? Keep digging and I’m sure you can find a lot of other cheap accusations about her family to post here. That’s what liberals do, they post all the dirt they can find, but non of the actual facts. The fact is she deserves as much attention as the media and people are willing to give her. She’s making good and taking advantage of opportunities that this country provides. Maybe that’s why most hate her, men because she’s outspoken and aggressive, and women because she’s successful and pretty to boot.

There are people that I truly don’t like to watch or listen to, but I don’t hate them. I just don’t watch or listen… I don’t call them names, dig up dirt that is unsubstantiated, and generally try to ruin them and their families.

i don,t hate a woman like palin i admire them she tells it like it is and will stand up for her rights,i would vote for her if she runs, now if you where talking about pass the bill to see whats in it pelosie or don,t call me mam call me sen boxer then that a dif ball game or it,s not illegal to be undocumented nepolitano, guess the law is wrong

and your point being what ,that todd is dipping his bait in some other hole, is that a reflection on what or who, that has nothing to do with the price of oats in china,so don,t start shit you can not backup with facts, if she was sleeping around now that may i said may have someth8ing to do with this discussion, she can not control what her husband has done or has not no more then you could, that how lies get started

      • Jere

Easy there fella. He was following in Palin’s footsteps (the whole bringing things up without facts). She called the gunman “possibly left-leaning” in the Hannity interview. Where’s her evidence for that? Is that possibly an unsubstantiated claim made to attack her opponents?! Way to go Palin on them Parker!

        • marvin

          Jere
possibly left-leaning” POSSIBLY IS NOT A STATEMENT OF FACT,you do know that,it is possible that the sun will burn out or you will drop dead but because someone sez it is possible is not making a statment of fact, now the sheriff was stating his feeling as fact with no facts to prove it, have i got you confused now

        • ValDM

And what about the statements from Sheriff Dimwit??? He started this whole mess by opening his mouth and spouting off about something he couldn’t poosibly know before his investigation was even off the ground. But, I guess you don’t have to know anything to be an “expert”.

          • ValDM

I wasn’t finished. Want to know some facts? The sheriff was not at the “meet and greet”. His deputies weren’t there either. When it has become SOP for law enforcement to serve and protect at these kinds of functions, WHY was this sheriff NOT THERE??????

i say if bulls eyes are bad and where the cause of the killing in arizona, then new york will have a killing , the unions don,t want walmart stores so they sent out pamplets with a bulleye on it and put the home address of the gent that is trying to put 4 walmarts in new york for people to go picket his home, the great american unions, i know less just blame bush or palin and every thing will be allright

    • Stan Lee

      Marvin:

I’m counting the minutes and days when the Union pamphlets are mentioned and explained. I think that story will die on the vine.
Face it, it’s killing the Unions that Walmart is not unionized and yet the nation’s largest employer.
The WH ought to commend Walmart for employing so many Americans who might otherwise be in the unemployment compensation line.

I live outside of Phila.,which is a union-controlled city. Jobs in Phila. have “dried up” because where there are unions, there are wage demands that inhibit businesses from employing workers. Union hourly rates are uncompetitive, but they’re enforced where Unions lay claim to territories.

There was a time when unions were really necessary, but now the unions have “outunioned” themselves. They are the problem.

      • marvin

        Stan Lee
fox done a news story last night on the pamplets in new york and the bulls eye

        • Stan Lee

          Marvin:

Yes Marv, I saw that last night. But, I’m wondering if this item will be reported by Fox’s competitio on the air waves. It was also on talk radio, but then the leftists do accuse talk radio of being strictly “right.”

      • Karolyn

the employees of WalMart need unionization. They are so underpaid and overworked it’s ridiculous. Then there’s the suit against them for failing to advance females.

        • ValDM

          Karolyn,
go back to sleep. You aren’t even any fun for entertainment purposes.
You’re just a pot-stirrer; not a very good one at that.

        • Stan Lee

          Karolyn:

“Underpaid” people are not compelled to remain at a particular underpaying employer. I believe that Walmart pays higher than minimum wage, but in any event, people are always applying for positions there. Likewise at places like Target and Sears. They all pay about the same. And,there are division managers who’re female, and who earn the same as male managers. I’ve heard your story before.

Obviously, you’re against Walmart and the rest of the similarly-paying department stores, but what’s the alternative for today’s workers?
The Unions have hurt the auto industry, so now they own part of GM.
GM is not setting the auto sales world on fire!

The reason BMW came to Spartanburg, SC in ’95 was to escape excessive union demands in Socialist Germany. SC is a “Right to Work” state, we need more of them. This country needs to start producing “Made in USA” items and get back to competing, not importing from China.

Incidentally, Germany has seen the error of its ways and had a GNP of 9% in 2010. Ours was less than 2%. Unions and their destructive negotiating have crippled the American workplace. Some victory the Unions can claim! I live by a city with some of the highest Union tradesmen’s hourly rates in the USA. Many of these tradesmen can’t find work, people can’t afford what Union hourly rates demand!

Many of the tradesmen are family-men, they have to earn a living. Somehow, they find their way out of the unionized city to suburban contractors and are thankful for the sustenance they earn as a result.

Unions today, are nothing more than PAC’s that spend members’ dues where they want to spend them. That’s why they’re so welcome at the WH. Unions divert dues-money to the Democrat Party. Who doesn’t know that?

        • da norseman

Even as union workers, they will still be underpaid regardless when union bosses get their greedy hands on whatever income each worker makes. If a strike falls in favor of the representing union, it’s only the union bosses who benefit and get richer while the take home pay for workers would still remain the same!!!

          • smilee

Your so very ignorant, go on the Dept of Labor site and get some facts, on national average union members make about $800.00 a month more than non union not to mention better benefit packages, of course they are not eligible for unearned income credits on their income tax forms because of that as many walmart employees are and you the taxpayer pay for that not walmart who in most cases does not pay a living wages as so many business do not today. If Unuin wages were paid your taxes would automatically go down. My place of employment the non union employees got about $1000.00 less per month in pension benefits plus less wages so the Union member also got higher SS because of it. Lots of pluses to the taxpayer if there was more unions as your government would subsidize a lot less wages and benefit than it does now

        • http://?? Joe H.

          karolyn,
Can you afford a new car?? What are you gonna do when you can’t even afford a loaf of bread at wally world???

  • Doc Franklin

This site is infested by more liberal trolls than the last Democratic Convention. Most of your comments are historically inaccurate ad hominem attacks without basis in reality. One needs to look no further than this site to explain the downfall of the greatest experiment in human history. Revisionist history, vitriolic rhetoric, lies oft repeated do not make falsehoods into truth. When the American experiment collapses from within, it will be the useful idiots who will experience the epiphany first. Marxist liberals never dance with the ones that brought them. Professing yourselves wise, you have become fools!

    • Jere

Very good. You claim “most” of the comments are historically inaccurate, yet fail to provide a single one as evidence. Typical God fearing conservative. Here, I’ll give you an example I used earlier:
Sarah Palin spent a good chunk of the Hannity interview condemning the “liberal” media for associating her with the Tuscon gunman. I agree, it was wrong. In the same interview , she turns around and calls the gunman (almost as an afterthought) “possibly left-leaning.” She goes on to claim that if it wasn’t for double standards, the left would have no standards (sic). She should look at what she said and then comment on double standards.
Please back up your claims with evidence, or appear to be a crybaby Palin supporter who is mad that she was exposed even more for the idiot she so clearly is.

      • patriotpartisan

Jere, why don’t you take ur double-standard hypocrisy and high-tail it over to the other side of the political fence, where you’ll be safe from having to deal with reality and maturity!! The fact that the “lone nut gun man” reads Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf as well as burns the flag and incoherently carries on a one-sided conversation about currency has been brought to light; the references Mrs. Palin makes to the Left is from those very significant pieces of evidence… hate Palin politics? stay away!! Enjoy your Obamunism and leave sleeping dogs be.

        • Jere

Thank you for your (mostly) civil reply. My double standards? I have none. I am unabashedly an atheist and left-leaning. I fully admit that the coverage following the shooting was bad, and that Palin had nothing to do with the shooter. But for you to claim that the “facts” that he read Mein Kampf and communist literature are evidence that the left had anything to do with this is laughable. You are the one using a double standard there my friend. The shooter had some mental issues or something that caused him to kill those people. If he was so “leftist” why did he shoot a Democrat? That shoots your theory to hell right there. It sounds to me that you are repeating some baseless drivel you heard on Fox News.

My point doesn’t change however. Palin, in the interview, does exactly the same thing she claims to hate so much: spews hate with no evidence.

          • patriotpartisan

Even ur attempts to reason ur way out of the previous attack on the Right has failed; like Obama-care… The Leftist “attributes” of the shooter, a trigger or not, is the point; while the Left quickly blamed the Right, the shooter himself is a Leftist. But you Lefties can’t take focus off the Right and just mend fences.

          • eddie47d

P.P. How can you say you want to mend fences after that 10:42 comment. Not being very honest now are you and there is another guy on this site who has that same problem.

        • Jere

I agree with you. The Nazi analogy is a terrible analogy by the speaker. Both sides do it though, you cannot deny that.

On the second point, Republicans claim that the healthcare bill will be job-killing, but the evidence is just not there OR they skew the facts to make it appear true. Both sides do it.

The difference is this: the speaker on CSPAN was speaking to an empty or near empty room. He was hoping to garner support in his home district. Palin was on a nationally televised program. Her message (and its lies, or maybe half truths) reached countless more people.

        • Karolyn

I think that the Jewish organization that came out against the remark is ridiculous. What he said made sense. If you keep saying the same thing over and over again, people start to believe it whether it’s true or not.

          • Jere

You can make that point without mentioning Goebbels (however it’s spelled) name.

          • Bruce

Karolyn, Welcome to the world of the Progressive Movment the whole method of controled thinking by a few by repeated spoken and writen word by elite contollers as in leaders be they Congress, Senate, or even a POTUS a Queen a Prime Minister etc. it was all started by an American Progressive named Edward Bernays.
The Nazi’s Grobels was an avid fan of Edward Bernays and used his spin of what is still used even today by the POTUS and every politician, though the coined name went from Propganda to Public Relations or PR Man / Woman.
Both terms were coined by Edward Bernays himself.

          • eddie47d

Nice try Bruce.Trying to tie Progressives in with the Nazi Party. Edward Bernay was indeed a propagandist who work with politicians on there campaigns. His main business was going to American Companies and setting up thir PR programs. Taught them how to manipulate the public to buy their products. Those corporations include Volvo,GM,Pizza Hut,Proctor and Gamble and American Tobacco,ETC. He was indeed very good at what he did especially putting a pretty face on Big Tobacco. His conection with the Nazi’s was that Goebbels liked his methods not that he was a Nazi. He was more intuned to the Capitalist side of America.

          • Bruce

Eddie, Its quite obvious your disconect with reading. I stated that Edward Bernays was the father of Modern Spin / Public Relations / Propaganda and that he was.
Yet nowhere within my post did I say he was a Nazi. Thus trying to distort what I posted will not make the facts of truth any differant as the truth has no agenda.
Edward Bernays was a well known Progressive as well as a avid follower of Socialism as well mind control over the mass’s.
As to what his day job was anyone with the ability to crack a book would know that so good for you you can read, but you do seem to have a selective ability to either recall facts or you have a lacking in comprehending. That will become clear as I review your post.
Perhaps you should read his book the one written by himself where he makes it quite clear what his beliefs are as I noted above.

          • eddie47d

Nice spin and I will absolutely stand behind what I said. Your inference was very clear.

Eddie, What I posted about Edward Bernays, is all truth and fact. Bernays was a vast part of my study on human behavior as I work in the mental health field, what is it you do again?
Bernays understanding of human behavior and its interface is based on his brother in-law’s works. Per chance do you know who that was?
So here’s the answer, Bernays brother in-law was Sigman Freud.

As there was nothing to infer in my post as they are both as direct and clear as a sunny day. Please don’t use words that are larger than you’re God given abilitys allow.

      Doc:
Of course, they’re here. It’s so obvious that it’s funny.
But, by their presence and remarks, we can then appreciate that we’re not them.
Where would they go? They can hardly be part of intelligent dialogue on a leftist site.
I say to them, by all means, keep it coming! If they’re not irrelevant, they’re misinformed.

      • Jere

You appear to be intelligent and literate. I would like to have an honest and solid discussion here. I would like to hear your reaction to the claim I’ve posted here several times and have failed to receive a reply to:

Sarah Palin spent a good chunk of the Hannity interview condemning the “liberal” media for associating her with the Tuscon gunman. I agree, it was wrong. In the same interview , she turns around and calls the gunman (almost as an afterthought) “possibly left-leaning.” She goes on to claim that if it wasn’t for double standards, the left would have no standards (sic).

She completely contradicts herself without the slightest hesitation, or evidence. Does this sound like someone we should look up to as a potential leader of our country?

Honestly, your post really makes you look stupid. I don’t mean that offensively. Nothing you said made any sense to me except “shut up I won.”
Anyway, I fail to see how that rambling has anything to do with the matter at hand.

          • ValDM

            Jere,
You are th one that has gone overboard about hatred and vitriolic speech. All of marvin’s spost was about the hatred and vitriol that your fearless leader, being a lefty has spewed in the last 2 years. Conservatives are guilty of hatred and bigotry???? You better get a muzzle for your demi-god.

        • Stan Lee

          Jere:

Yes, I saw and noted that interview. It seemed an afterthought and as “possibly a leftist” really says nothing, I’d take it as meaningless innuendo. I suppose we could all censor things we’ve heard from people with whom we’re inclined to disagree.

She does exhibit a brave front, and that drives her detractors to continue attacking her. She gives them little to no satisfaction.
I think she’s become hurt by all the fire she faced in the aftermath of this senseless mass shooting, after all most of her life has been framed in her acceptability.

So, she added a superflous remark, which I think was far less harmful than all the accusations hurled at the Right for alleged “incivility” which I beleve both political parties have indulged in, especially in view of testimonies by people who claimed to know Loughner and the fact that he lived in his own, cockeyed universe, and it was apolitical.

When some leftists produced a film about assassinating George W. Bush, a then sitting President, there were no admonitions from the Left for the film makers to cease and desist. I took that as meaning such incivility (at the least) was acceptable to the Left.

That’s my take on the question you pondered to me. By the way, I think Stewart is a bright guy, capable of fair opinion. But, he is an entertainer, albeit an erudite one. He is intelligent not to represent himself as a news comentator. Not many know their audiences as well as Stewart knows his.

          • Jere

I agree with you on most points. Her statement was an afterthought, but the content was exactly the same as that which she admonished.

I would agree with you on her feeling hurt by an attempt to tie her to the shooter, if this was the first time she had done something like this. By that, I mean the whole “poor me, I’m a victim” act. She is a (very) public figure and she chooses to be. Another similar incident that rises to mind is the “gotcha” journalism incident during the election. She tried to play that she was the victim when she clearly was not, and was exposed for being ill-prepared for the position that she was running for.

Also, I feel your analogy is slightly off. This all occured in the wake of a national tragedy. Senseless accusations were made and blame placed falsely. Those film makers were within their rights to produce a movie about whichever topic (as controversial as it may be) they want. Should the Left have condemned them? Maybe. If they had actually plotted to kill Bush, then absolutely. There was no bloodshed however, so I don’t think the point is quite relevant (my opinion).

I think Stewart has shown himself to be a worthy adversary, even politically. His Rally to Restore Sanity drew a much larger crowd than Beck’s rally. In his appearences on The OReilly Factor (and the other one, with several hosts, which I am blanking on) he proved himself to be more than a funny man. So much so that Fox News edited his interview to make him look less favorable.

A final note is this: I don’t watch TV. If I get news, I get it from Google News where I can filter it to show what I want, and make my own decisions. Fox News is conservative to a fault, CNN is liberal to a fault. NEITHER should be a primary source for news. Until people relaize that these stations routinely skew facts and outright lie, sheeple will be fragmented, and no one will be right (correct, to avoid confusions lol).

          • eddie47d

You are correct Jere and some on this site absolutely refuse to take their blinders off and listen or read other opinions. Except to spread fear or conspiracy theories.

Jeff – Take a look at some of the posts that are responded to in totally inappropriate ways. There is no reason to start to call people names in responding to a perfectly civil post. • JeffH

Karolyn, get a grip on yourself…it’s a two way street, give and take. It’s not exactly brain surgery around here.

          • eddie47d

What planet are you from Jeff? I thought alien creatures were only in movies but I’ll have to admit I’m wrong this time.

          • JeffH

eddie is what I call an Emotional Adversary. These poor souls are truly out of control, driven by intense emotional needs. Beneath their dysfunctional behavior is a deep-seated anger or anxiety that frequently overrides the more logical portion of their brain. One sure sign of an Emotional adversary is that they create problems for everyone, not just for you – and they are unlikely to change without the help of therapy or medication or both. Some are angry, some are needy, and some are just chronically oppositional, but they all suck up energy that could be put to better use. Emotional adversaries seem more like children.

      • Stan Lee

        Karolyn:

Forget the amazement, I’m sure you’re a worldly person. The fact is, there are not that many altruistic Republicans out here who’d take the part, if correct, of Democrats. They’d just let the issue slide.
Substitute Democrats for Republicans, in the same scenario, and we get the same result. No one’s working hard to score points for “the other side.” And, that’s why elections depend upon a small percentage of voters calling themselves “Independents.”
The last national and state elections saw great results for the Republicans, but it can be just as attributable to the Independents who voted with Republican.

Why? No reason to even wonder! The Democrats have overreached in their quest for power, have scoffed at the Constitution which sets us apart from all other nations, and we have a President who has become a professional apologist for a nation that has done far more good in this world than not.
None of that goes down well with most Americans. I’m damned proud of my country and its acomplishments in our world.

I absolutely cannot tolerate a national leader, elected by Americans, who demonizes my country, I’m not for a “One-World Goverment,” despise the corrupt UN, and as a dying man said long ago, “My country, right or wrong, but my country.” I can’t quote his name right now,but I remember that he was a court-martialled naval officer, consigned to a US Navy ship for the rest of his life, therefore his death bed was on that ship. I’m ashamed not to be able to quote his name now that I’ve mentioned the episode, it’ll come to me about 3 AM, like a lot of other things come to me these days.
I’m not getting any younger! :):) C’est la vie!

        • JeffH

Steven Decatur: “Our Country! In her intercourse with foreign nations may she always be in the right; but right or wrong, our country!”
Carl Schurz would later distill this phrase more famously as, “My country, right or wrong; if right, to be kept right; and if wrong, to be set right.”

  • Earl, QUEENS, NY

Of course, as always, the problem is the fact that so many people get all their information from the lame stream MSM, which is allied with the leftwing Democrap Party!! If everybody listened to conservative talk radio, and read websites like this, their opinions would be a lot different. The left really hates Sarah Palin because she’s honest, tells the truth, and speaks out against the leftists’ detrimental agenda. As for threats, sadly, Sarah Palin doesn’t have the kind of protection these leftwing miscreants in Washington have!! Why is she getting blamed by the left for the acts of a leftwing nut job like the one in Tucson?? Why won’t ‘hate crime laws’ be used to protect people who believe in the Bible and constitutional limited government instead of just protecting fringe groups which the politically correct liberals deem deserving?? And if (God forbid) something tragic should happen to Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh or other conservatives, then let’s give the leftwing malcontents a dose of their own medicine. By that I mean – let’s hold these hate-filled leftwing statist democraps culpable for any violent acts!!!!!

  • concerned_patriot

The actions of the shooter are his own, and no one else is to blame. One has to question the motives of those who say otherwise.

  • patriotpartisan

You mean to say that the Communist News Network smears reputations of political opponents when Lib-tards are calling for peace and tranquility from the Right? How hypocritical, to say the least.

  • Delores Smith

    SARAH PALIN,
Since when has CNN ever told the truth? An Anchor at CNN apologized yesterday for using “cross-hairs” He told people to help keep them straight if they make mistakes. CNN, you make lots of mistakes; namely, you kiss up to Obama.
Sarah, move on to Iowa. It’s tough being a beautiful person inside and out. You can handle it. God Bless You and your beautiful family. Take care.

I do not think the MSM is truly capable of telling the entire truth–they pick and choose what they want to say. They are all right wing or left wing. No “center” of the road. I want sensible and common sense news, not all the innuendos thrown in.

  • Jere

A true concern of mine is why Sarah Palin (or Glenn Beck, or anyone with a show on Fox News) will not agree to sit down and have an interview/conversation with John Stewart of the Daily Show. He has shown himself to be truly informed and more than just comic relief. When he appeared on The O’Reilly Factor, Fox News had to edit the interview because John Stewart “won” (this is not an opinion, it is a common fact that the interview was edited to appear that OReilly had the upperhand).
Yet the big name conservatives refuse Stewart’s offer. Are they scared of being exposed? Those from the right, I would like your opinions on why they would refuse (please try not to troll).

    • Laurie, Haslet, TX

Glenn makes that request almost daily- They refuse to to respond to it.

      • Jere

You are (no offense intended) incorrect. I can find no evidence of Glenn Beck ever inviting John Stewart to a debate/conversation/whatever on his show. I’m not saying it isn’t there, I may have missed it.
        BUT
John Stewart would jump at the opportunity. He wouldn’t hesistate to accept that offer (if it was real). That is why I don’t think that Beck has ever invited Stewart to his show.

        • JeffH

          Who is Jon Stewart?

        • Stan Lee

          Jere:

Given that I’ve already disclosed to you my admiration for Stewart’s glibness and intelligence, why would it be so important for Fox personalities you’ve named to appear of the Jon Stewart show? O’reilly has been on with Jon. It was nice.

Surely, you are a devotee of Stewart, but he is not all things to everybody. I’m sure that, if Stewart can’t book these particular personalities, then it is felt by them that there’s no benefit at all in appearing on his program.

Now, let’s have the truth, you’re really Jon Stewart, aren’t you? :):) Anyway, nice to meet you and converse, Jon…or Jere.

        • http://?? Joe H.

I have a bigger how come for you! how come mr “I won you lost now shut up” go on Becks show and let Glenn interview him?? How come he won’t go on Oriley and let HIM interview him? How come in an interview he knows ALL the questions in advance?? Because he’s an empty suit!!

  • george

Brother Bob Livingston, shame on you for posting this CNN poll which is erroneous as it is misleading. Mrs. Sarah Palin is as well thought of and respected by all American Constitutional Patriots now, as she was before the illegal Libelous/Slanderous smear of her good name by the U S of A’s Neo-Communist Press. If a presidential election were to be held today, Mrs. Palin would defeat Mr. Obama by a substantial electoral college margin with a 5 to 10 million vote plurality.

Sally, Bill, Doc Sarvis, and the rest, Sarah Palin brought to trial and convicted corrupt politicians in her home state of Alaska while serving as “The Boss”, the Governor of the State. Why the Libel and Slander against Mrs. Palin from those in and in suport of the Democratic Party? Because they know that the Democrat Party’s attempt to overthrow the Government of the United States of America will be confronted by Mrs. Palin and that the “former” President Obama, Eric Holder, the Czars, the Democrat Senators and Representatives in Congress, the EPA bureaucrats, the ACLU lawyers, the corrupt judges, the 4 network Communist propagandist, all will be brought to trial and undoubtedly convicted of High Treason and sentenced to what? What would you do with traitors? I know what I would do.

    • Doc Sarvis

      george
As a proud American I think it is a shame that Ms. Palin up and quit her governorship of Alaska. If she had stayed in that job the citizens of the state that elected her and the country might have seen what grit she is made of. She choose the easy (and lucrative) way out.

      • Stan Lee

        Doc:

The way I heard it, Palin had so many expensive law-suits against her, purportedly from influential Democrats, that she couldn’t afford to deal with them on Governor’s pay. Plus, she didn’t feel the State of Alaska should be stuck with the legal costs of responding to said suits.
I believe the above information was available to the public at the time. You’ve got to know when to hold, and you’ve got to know when to fold.

        • Jana

          Stan Lee,
Most of us know this, even Doc Sarvis knows this, but he like most liberals keep shouting out the lies. You know the old adage tell a lie often enough someone will believe it. The sad thing is he is beginning to believe his own lies.

        • Doc Franklin

That is exactly why she resigned. Had she continued in office, there would have been an endless parade of frivolous lawsuits to paralyze her effectiveness as governor, all of them tried on the state of Alaska’s dollar, so she resigned. I seriously doubt that she took the “easy way” out. The criticism from her resigning would not play well politically in a national setting (ie. look she quits when things get rough, she’s not presidential material, etc). She’s a long ways away from being an idiot, so I’m sure this was weighed against the potential endless trail of litigation at length. The only reason she didn’t play better nationally when she ran with that moron McShame is because he muzzled her and forced who be something she is not to her core, and that’s PC. This woman has more cajonnes that most of the castrati in the Republican Party who in my opinion has become nothing more than the Democrat-lite party of Marxists-lite. That’s why the TEA party is thriving. A growing number of us don’t believe we live in an evil nation, that the government needs to be our nanny in exchange for the loss of our freedoms, or that we can spend ourselves into prosperity anymore than an individual family can do it. We welcome legal aliens who can truly contribute and assimilate, not illiterate, uneducated third world criminal scum coming here to plunder, rather than participate. We’re tired of the filth and corruption, and especially tired of being sucked dry to support those who feel they are entitled not only to our money, but to tell us how we are going to be governed and oppressed for their benefit as well. And we’re damn sick of the lousy bastards who are cramming the destruction of this once great nation down our throats while holding a gun to our heads after they have stolen ours from us through unconstitutional legislation or judicial fiat. We have been hosed long enough. If you agree, join us. If you don’t, get the hell out of the way, because one way or another, this nation is changing course.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Doc Franklin,
I hate the fact that everyone here that purports to support Palin has mentioned nothing about the FACT that Palin was found innocent on ALL charges except one misdemeanor!! I doubt very strongly that Mr Nobama could do that under the same barrage of charges she had foisted against her!!

          • Doc Franklin

Joe H, there is no way to respond to your post below, so I’ll have to do it here. You are absolutely correct, and the one she was found guilty on was not only a very tenuous stretch of the law, but was an ant hill magnified to the size of a mountain.

    • Doc Franklin

I believe your assessment is dead on.

      • Palin12

        Doc,
the most frivolous of all the lawsuits was the so-called “Troopergate scandal” which made headlines in the NY Times. The trooper who was fired by Gov. Palin was using his taser while off-duty to discipline his own nephew. After she was cleared of this charge, the NY Times put a small column on page 8 about the dismissal.

        • Doc Franklin

Thanks for the reminder, I’d forgotten about that one. How ridiculous!!

  • Carlucci

I like Sarah Palin, but in all honesty, I am sick of hearing about her and her family. One thing that bothers me about her is that she seemed to come out of nowhere, like B.O. I know she was governor of Alaska, but did not know that when McCain picked her to run with him. Sometimes I wonder if she is just a willing mouthpiece for “conservatives”. As long as plenty of money is thrown her way to make any kind of appearance to keep things stirred up and distract people, S.P. is your huckleberry. This is exactly how the loony left uses people like the “Reverends” Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. As far as I’m concerned, Sarah Palin has lost credibility because she and her family members are publicity hounds. She is way too overexposed and I doubt if she will become a viable candidate for anything except “Dancing with the Stars”.

Enough already. I believe people are smart enough to realize that the Tucson shooter is yet another maladjusted nutcase who was most likely loaded up on psychotropic drugs and pot. We need to move on and stop beating a dead horse……

    • http://deleted Claire

      Carlucci—I agree with your post.

    • Stan Lee

      Carlucci:

You’re right, and if it wasn’t for the leftist press corps always going for her throat, she would just be an ex-Governor and not an exploited, sensationalized, personality. When they have nothing to write, there’s always Sarah.

    • Doc Franklin

Sarah definitely was an unknown to most folks outside of Alaska when McCain picked her to be his VP choice. There is a huge difference between her and Obama’s appearance on the political stage, she has provenance, she has a trail that can be followed all the way back to her birth. Obama, is like an undiscovered “Masters “sculpture that no one can find a history on, because the sculpture, as does Obama, turns out to be a fake.

      • JeffH

Doc, Obama did write a book before his presidency and in it he revealed so much about his radical upbringing and background. There was a lot available during the 2008 campaign, people just didn’t do their homework. His life has been devoted to radical Marxism.

        • Doc Franklin

You’re absolutely right, I was simply referring to his pre-Illinois years, from his “Harvard” days back to his birth. all of those records have been sealed and defended by teams of lawyers hiding the truth of this foreign national, marxist, muslim usurper.

          • Palin12

Even if Obummer was born in Hawaii, which I doubt, when he went to school in Indonesia from age 6-10 he became a citizen of that country, which does not allow dual citizenships. Nor is there any evidence of repatriation.

  • http://www.DownsizeCa.org JKeyes

CNN polls are not any good; They only talk to liberals..

    • bob wire

You’ve got the world divided up nicely.

I’m left to only guess it makes things more simple for you.

      • Jana

You are correct bob, YOU ARE LEFT.

  • Karolyn

I think the reason her numbers are down is because she has become just another celebrity with a reality TV show. She’s addicted to publicity and the money that comes with it.

  • Jere

This poll will make me sleep easier tonight. I now am confident that Palin will never be elected to anything higher than Governor of Alaska. She will never be president, or vice president. I mean, really, if she had a war hero running with her for president and she still couldn’t win, she’s pretty much screwed.

    • bob wire

Sleep well Jere, and you are correct.

and the polls are only that, polls ~ and doesn’t say anything about hating Palin.

      That would be another poll.

    • Doc Franklin

That so called war hero was the millstone around her neck. If she hadn’t been on the ticket, McTurncoat would have lost by a landslide. Afterall there is very little difference between Obama and McCain excepting McShame doesn’t hate the country like Obama, he’s just too stupid to let run it. Don’t kid yourself Jere Palin made the ticket palatable. Subtracting the minimum 2.4 million fraudulent votes cast by Acorn et. al., all of a sudden you had a real horse race. something we all know, Marxists do not allow.

  • I AM

Palin for President? This is a wild joke! After her CROSS HAIR map, which is responsible for the Tucson murders, she should run for President of Iran, where she might have a chanch!

    • Laura

You are a complete moron, you ignore the FACTS as the shooter had a personal grudge against Giffords as he did not like her reactions/remarks regarding a question he had asked her, his personal goal was to take her out;target map=irrelevant. That silly map which was similar to a map democrats used did not even exist prior to the grudge he had against her, the idiotic audacity to conclude that map made him attempt to shoot her is the dumbest suggestion that has ever existed in regards to any conclusion that has ever existed in anyone’s mind since the beginning of time. This suggestion defies logic and common sense. Another fact you ignore is that his personal friends stated he did not listen to talk radio or any type of conservative view, again map=irrelevant, HELLO?? WAKE UP!! So moron how did he see the map that supposedly made him attempt this horrific act when he did not even follow Palin. are you that stupid?? Evidently. Even if that map never existed you would still come up with some other silly outlandish conclusion and blame it on Palin, you simply do not like Palin and will come up with ANYTHING regardless of how ridiculous and illogical it is, you probably blame Palin for all of your personal problems, as you have many, if you had any type of brain activity you would blame the shooter, he is a single individual and no map made him do anything, he made his own choice.

      • Jana

        Laura,
The famed map is the same one the Democrats and union organizers are still using. In Washington DC the Unions against Walmart are picketing the man trying to get a Walmart built there. They is a crosshairs symbol on their page as well as they are going to the man’s house to picket him there.
Since they are SUPPOSED to be sweet and loving and generous I guess it must be all right.
These terms have always been used. They will probably continue to be used. Of course the POLITICALLY CORRECT POLICE will try to make us quit using these terms to try to control us. CNN is already trying.
They want to control what we say so they can control what we think. It won’t work!

    • JeffH

      I AM…drunk off of the Kool-aid…

      • http://?? Joe H.

        AMEN MY FRIEND!!!!

  • Dave

Jesus, can anyone on this damn blog spell correctly?

    • bob wire

Dave , I think it more of a typo then a spelling issue.

Are you the assigned spelling police this morning?

If so, I want to turn myself in.

      • Stan Lee

        Bob Wire:

I often examine what I’ve typed and can’t believe all the many “typos.”
But then,I was resentful of the US Army for making me an infantryman instead of a company clerk.
The truth is, my talents didn’t lie in the “company clerk” domain.
After all these years, I admit that the Army was correct! :):)

    • Carlucci

LOL- !! It’s not just this blog with spelling errors. I read other blogs and many people are either in a big hurry and making typos or not paying attention.

One thing that I’ve noticed is that some bloggers don’t seem to know the difference between “their” and “there”. Also, many people aren’t familiar with proper punctuation, and misuse the apostrophe like crazy. The younger crowd can’t make the distinction between “past” and “passed”. For example, they will blog things like “I wouldn’t put it passed him”, when they mean “past”.

Dave, were you an English major? I was. Things like misspellings, poor grammar, incorrect punctuation, etc., used to make me nuts. Now I just sit back and ignore it and enjoy all of the opinions, even though I don’t agree with everyone.

      Hey everybody – have a wonderful weekend – !!

  • I AM

Sorry, I should not pick on Palin! I meant she should run for Alsaka’s Salmon fishing club. Maybe she might have a shot at that!!

  • Horizon3

All baseless conjecture based on a CNN poll, CNN hates Palin and so do most of the people that frequent their web site and take their polls.
So it’s a no brainer that her numbers would be low.

As to those yapping about crosshair maps maybe you should lambaste the the USGS, NOAA and Army Corps of Engineers for using them on their maps.

  • hundabuxt

I’m a Tea Party kind of guy and I live in Alaska. I’ve talked to Palin and like her but she’s not ready for the most powerful office in the world (for now with China rising) So everybody settle down. She’s a magnet for the left and she keeps thing’s sturred up because they’re scared of her, which is to our benifit. She energized the conservative movement, which arguably resulted in 60 seats being taken away from the slimy left, give her credit for that. Her endorsement of whoever runs for the Republicans is worth a significant number of votes. I’ve wondered if everyone would be as interested in her if she looked more like Pelosi. Naw. Forget that. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

    • JeffH

hundabuxt, I like the roll Palin is in the way it is. She energizes the conservative movement and rubs the GOP the wrong way, but most of all she draws the hatefull comments that just expose the progressive liberal left and the lamestream media as what they truly are. Hatemongers.

      • eddie47d

        Stop looking in the mirror.

        • JeffH

Now that comment makes a lot of sense…NOT!

  • Laure for Haslet TX

Never Mind, I’m a complete idiot like all conservatives out there. All I can say is “LiBTARD!”, even though Sarah says not to say that, it doesn’t matter, because conservatives like myself are one dimensional idiots!

  • Laurie From Haslet TX

Duh, way to go fake “Laure”. You’re too stupid to even spell the name right. I am the one true Laurie from Haslett, TX (White trash capital of Texas) and I’ll speak for us uneducated racist idiots teabaggers!

Get R Done! Freedom ain’t Free! Fight em over there so we don’t have to fight them here! Libtards! Sarah is my hero, she’s dumb like me and I prefer absolute idiots to be in charge!

Laurie, not the first time that’s happened.

I don’t think either one of those were the Laurie from Haslet, Tx.

        • JeffH

Jana, hmmm, I think you’re right.

    • Laurie, Haslet, TX

The Haslet TX City I live in is just north of Ft Worth has only 1 T. A very nice small country town.

  • Laura

All liberals leave America now and stay out

    • Hillbilly Redneck Republican

Yeah! That’s right, throw people out who don’t agree with you. That really lines up withe the constitution that you idiots love to wrap around yourselves. Aren’t 100,000+ soldiers fighting for our freedom? I guess freedom in your world is your freedom to get rid of anyone who doesn’t agree with you.

Proof again that conservatives are complete and utter idiots!

      • Laura

Liberalism is not thinking it is controlling, I will not be contolled in any aspect by these people therefore they must leave.

        • http://deleted Claire

          Good grief.

Did you read the reply above or can you not yet read?

      • patriotpartisan

HRR, the hypocrisy you bring to light is sadly, all too often a Leftist SNAFU. Using the freedom of speech “clause” while the Left is busy shutting down the Right’s freedom… is all too ironic. Your name implies that only inbred, backwoods sibling/lovers would be for the Constitution, and the soldiers DON’T fight for our freedom, you brain-washed liberal putz!! Not since the Revolution has a soldier shed blood for freedom of this nation; now they shed it for the globalists who aim to oppress the natural resources of the Mid-East and East Asia. Another sign that shows the Liberals are “complete and utter idiots”!

      • Doc Franklin

It absolutely does! It’s called providing for the common defense

    • Karolyn

How American of you! Who do you think you are? We are ALL Americans, whether we think differently or not and we ALL have a right to our own opinions. You would have the US as a Communist state, which you say you hate. However, your words tell the story of control – getting rid of people who don’t agree with you.

      • http://deleted Claire

Karolyn– I am inclined to agree with you.

  • Laurie From Haslet TX

If all liberals leave america now and stay out, who will run things? Conservative are sheep following their savior Hannity and Beck, they can’t even figure out how to think for themselves?

Only a teabagger idiot like yourself would wish to be surrounded by morons like yourself. Nice to think power plants and other important infrastructure would be run by people like you. SCARY!

    • Laura

Liberals running things equates to bending over for Islam
I am not wearing a burka, quite frankly any male muzzie who comes near me with one and I will strange him with it and set it on fire.

      • Doc Franklin

Good for you. I’ve never been attracted to potato sacks, especially those where the inside contents smell like a herd of unkept goats!

How Liberal of you to slander and spew hate around… just like the other ignorant shills. If the Libs all left the country, it would be run the way it has since it’s founding, u commie maggot!! You fools are such a joke, and a bad one at that, that’s why you’ve been dubbed ‘Obama-zombies’… talking about “sheep”. How many times I’ve seen the ‘pep rallies’ for Barry, where women were screaming like it was Elvis or the Beatles, fainting, crying, celebrating with slogans like “Yes, We can” and saying how “Obama will pay all the bills now, no more worries…” You people are the definition of ‘pathetic’ and ‘embarrassing’ along with the appropriately labeled: ‘sheep’.

      • Laura

What are you talking about???? I am not a communist, that’s hilarious, I am actually a communists worst nightmare and I did not vote for Obama. A lot of liberal trolls on here, and it is not working.

Some left wing lunatic is busy is stealing other posters and names and posting FALSE information

I will be changing my posting name

sometimes that happens. Unfortunately, some people behave as though they are preteens.

      • JeffH

Laurie, welcome to the club…it’s happened before and it will happen again. Don’t change a thing, you’re doing just fine the way you are.

        • Jana

We all know its not you above. You don’t talk like that. Someone just thinks he is being cute but we see through him.

  • patriotpartisan

“Liberalism is a mental disorder”… best we start locking you Leftist lunes up, before another massacre happens, especially if the target is the Constitution!!

  • Laura

Let me make myself very clear to the progressive movement, I will not submit, nor comply, sit down or shut-up in any aspect. I am going to do anything and everything I can to bring down the progressive movement, period. I am their worst nightmare, they have a problem with Palin?? They are going to have a much, much bigger problem with me. Any progressive who thinks they can control me, change me, they can test that assumption at their convenience as I will be more than happy to welcome them to my Universe and bring them into the very depths of hell…

  • Average Joe

My oppinion about Sara Palin is unchanged, I didn’t care much for her before….still don’t care much for her. As far as I can see, she is nothing more than a distraction.I’ll stick with supporting Ron Paul….a man with morals, values and principles…A Statesman rather than a Politician.

  • Jere

Everyone here spewing hate and idiocy (Laura, patriotpartisan, I AM, the idiot pretending to be Laurie from Haslet) are the problem with America. We should put aside our differences, but no, you’re all to self-centered and stupid to look at the big picture. The big picture is that the country is falling apart because both sides refuse to cooperate. You cling to your televisions and suck on the teet of Faux News and CNNcer and beleive whatever bullshit they feed you. Congratulations! You’re a sheep.
Conservatives: GROW THE F UP. You elected Bush, he sucked hardcore and lied to us. You complain because Obama (in 2 years) hasn’t fixed the problems Bush spent nearly a decade creating. If you cannot see this for yourself, fine. You’re unreasonable and a detriment to our country
Liberals: You got Obama elected on the promise of change. He’s trying but he’s doing a far from perfect job. He’d better step it up if he want’s to be re-elected.

Both Sides: Learn to wade through the BS of major media. Faux News is lying to you. CNNcer is lying to you. You can accept it and be a sheeple, or you can fight it and get the truth.

    • Doc Franklin

One thing I certainly can agree with you on. Folks need to quit focusing on the politicians favorite diversionary tools, bread and circus. They need to pay attention to their sources of information and not accept everything at face value. I will concede that CNN is a horrible source of reliable information because their objectivity has been compromised by ideology and an agenda. Fox is beyond a doubt much more accurate and pretty much “a priori” free. No source is totally beyond reproach, but Fox does pretty much let the viewer decide at this point in time. This may change as it certainly did with CNN. Turner had an opportunity to truly be an icon of truth, but opted to become one of the elitists and help spoon feed the masses predigested Pablam. The fact that Fox is now 19% owned by a Saudi prince has already affected their reporting on Islamofacism and Muslim terrorism. Murdoch doesn’t necessarily strike as one who puts character and truth above money and power. Time will tell.

  • Bitter Libertarian

She would have been better off Ignoring the comments completely..Just like the Leaders Ignore people requests to repeal the UnConstitutional healthcare bill…
A reply is considered a validation…I would have ignored the BS.

  • Sam Osborne

A fellow internet wanderer may have grasped all that there is to make of Sarah Palin’s continued chewing on the foot that she repeatedly keeps sticking in her mouth. He said:

Reminds me of the exchange between the Army recruiter and Forrest Gump…. Recruiter: “Son, have you given any thought to your future?”… Gump: “Thought?”

  • barbm

since palin probably isn’t going to be the one, anybody know when we’re going to come up with a viable tea party candidate? i hope ron paul runs again but, if not. whom do we have? for the most part, i’ve never heard of the people whose names have been thrown out there. obama has already started setting up headquarters in chicago. don’t y’all think we should get started pdq? we sure don’t want another mccain or other rino.

As the lyrics go from the song by The Northern Pikes: “She Ain’t Pretty She Just Looks That Way”. I just don’t get what people really see in Sarah Palin that makes her so freakin’ special. She quit her job as Governor and she lost the election as a Vice Presidential nominee. Next!

  • Bruce

Just my humble opinon based on observing human behavior for the last 40 years, as in thats what I do for work.
When persons push back as in attack another person such as what the media politicians and eve average people have done with Sarah Palin.
Its a clear sign that they FEAR this person.

So I would have to ask any of you who have such negative views what about her do you fear? Depending on how you respond I could then have a better understanding of why you post such comments.

  • chuckb

people judge their intelligence on the news caster or commentator they listen too, such as mathews , maddow and olberman, they most be politically stupid, these three have the lowest ratings.

sarah palin will run against hillary and win the presidency. some women are so jealous of her they have lost their thinking process. most intelligent women know there’s no one around that can beat her.
the liberals keep bad mouthing her, for one reason, they know she is a threat to their well being.

  • Victor Sayre

The Left persist in efforts to pin it on Sarah Palin, whom they hope to smear with enough “negative perception” to make her unelectable in the 2012 Presidential Race. They do this, it seems because they fear her great popularity as Governor of Alaska and the great boost she gave to John McCain’s ratings when Palin was announced as his candidate for Vice President.

So, let’s review some basic facts surrounding this incident and the response to it:

    1) Sarah Palin’s website displayed a map targeting various political districts for victory in the election.

    2) Left-wing pundits went into a frenzy, day in and day out, insisting it was a map calling for violence. They insisted such a call to violence might push someone to actually DO violence. Yet, they were the only ones portraying it as a call to violence, day in and day out, bombarding society with that message. What were they trying to achieve?

    3) A crazy guy goes postal in Tucson and it happens to be one of the districts targeted for political victory at the ballot box by Palin’s map.

    4) Left-wing Pundits went into a frenzy, blaming Palin (who never called for violence) instead of themselves (who repeatedly proclaimed the map was a call to violence).

    5) Friends of the nut-job shooter indicated he was not interested in politics, didn’t watch TV, there was apparently no connection to Palin, Limbaugh or anyone else the Left were accusing of inspiring him.

    6) But that didn’t stop them from continuing the Palin smear game.

    7) A friend of the nut-job insisted he is a heavy pot smoker. Among the KNOWN side effects of heavy pot use (and I’ve witnessed this) are:

“bipolar (manic-depressive) psychosis and schizophrenia” and

“Cannabis Intoxication (consisting of impaired motor coordination, anxiety, impaired judgment, sensation of slowed time, social withdrawal, and often includes perceptual disturbances; Cannabis Intoxication Delirium (memory deficit, disorientation); Cannabis Induced Psychotic Disorder, Delusions; Cannabis Induced Psychotic Disorder, Hallucinations; and Cannabis Induced Anxiety Disorder. ”

If you watch the video that the shooter made on his college campus, you will quickly recognize these symptoms.

    8) He clearly displayed the symptoms of Cannabis Intoxication disorders. So, there really is something a pundit could latch onto as to What Drove Him Nuts. But they won’t. They just want to smear Sarah Palin, with their eye on 2012 elections.

That’s how the Left have turned an innocent political map into a call for violence, then a violent act into false accusations against Palin. What are they really trying to achieve, given their own insistence that fomenting hate can lead to violence?

    9) Are all these false, hate-filled accusations against Palin an effort to inspire a violent incident against her?

    Think About It

    • bob wire

“That’s how the Left have turned an innocent political map into a call for violence, then a violent act into false accusations against Palin.”

Hmm? let me think, Hmm ~ a bullet through a selected targets head?

      What co’winkydink!

    • Bruce

Victor, You’re post is a tad on the wierd side with a lot of rhetoric about POT. Its very obvious you have no idea what you’re talking about. Please act responcible and post TRUTH and not conjecture.
Everything you posted about POT is at best totaly untrue.

I am very sure when all is said and done the truth about this young man will be that he was on PSYCHOTROPIC drugs that were more than likly perscribed by the DOE.
His behavior as noted by classmates and teachers alike are all classic examples of on again off again use of legal PSYCHOTROPIC drugs as given to 9 out of 10 male children in most public schools.
Being he is 22 years old he also falls well within the most heavy periods of time these drugs have been in use, of what they are being used now even more.
In many states its mandatory that all Males age 6 – 18 be on these drugs daily just to attend public school.
With young girls the numbers are now at very high levels of use as well.
So in very down to earth terms Victor, nearly every young person is being not only brainwashed in public schools they are being druged by the state in order to get Federal funding as thats whats mandated by the Federal government.
What that means is that there are now 40 million ticking time bombs out there one just may be you’re child, or grandchild.
Will you still blame it on POT when the next event happens?

    • Karolyn

He didn’t have to have anything to “drive” him nuts. His age is the time when many young men start to display symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. We really know nothing about this kid yet. He could have had symptoms of a mental disorder for years that went unnoticed.

  • Flying Eagle

If I were Sarah Palin I would ignore that poll. Hahahaha 56%? probably only the liberals. She drives the left crazy, such is her power on them. The left is envious of such a bright, intelligent and capable woman. The left hate her for what she is, for what she stands for and you never know, we might have big surprises in 2012.

I, my family and friends will vote for her if she decides to run against Obama.

    • bob wire

“She drives the left crazy, such is her power on them. The left is envious of such a bright, intelligent and capable woman. The left hate her for what she is, for what she stands for and you never know, we might have big surprises in 2012. ”

      You keep believing that!

      • Jana

Don’t worry bob wire, we will.

  • Ted Crawford

If Mrs. Palin didn’t already know, she is finding out, that if you wish to rise above the crowd there will allways be those to throw tomatoes at you. She now faces the same choices as anyone else who would lead. When they begin to throw the tomatoes you must either pull your head back into the crowd, or learn to like tomatoes.
I believe she likes tomatoes by this time.

  • mickey

so many liberals are scared of Mrs. Palin. it must be the values she believes in ,or is it envy ,or is it because shes HOT .MUST BE . shes got my vote.

  • da norseman

I think it’s great when Sarah Palin come into the spotlight just to irritate the radical left. It’s fun listening to them whine and complain, even when they stoop so low by calling her derogatory names. They are afraid of her and fear that she might become the first woman president because they want Hillary to claim that milestone – li’l sexism there, LOL!!!

The radical left just hates the former Alaska governor and hate everything about her just as they hate our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Corpsmen as well as Mainstream Americans and our nation. Well, if they are that hateful, then it’s time to kick ‘em out of this country!!!

i don’t understand why all the fuss about sarah palin. she hasn’t been nominated by the gop, she’s not on the campaign trail, yet the media keeps throwing harpoons and the jealous women keep making derogatory remarks. the liberals wet their pants at the mere mention of her name.why all the concern about the polls, if she’s as bad as some of the liberals say, why worry.

wow! what’s it going to be like when she does get nominated and tours the country, fills stadiums with enthusiastic fans and shows america what a true conservative looks like. maybe we should build some shelters when the media explodes.

    • Doc Franklin

The visual of a liberal having a full blown 3 alarm hissy fit with steam pouring out of their ears and their blood shot eyes popping out of their sockets is really a pretty entertaining one. Just consider,if Palin should run and get elected, we would be able to enjoy 4 years of knowing that that would be a daily occurrence all across this great land.

      • JeffH

Doc, the pathetic part of it is that they actually believe what they say. I guess it’s true, if you tell a lie long enough eventually it becomes true in your own mind and in those listening.

        • eddie47d

You prove that every time you open your mouth. How do you speak with all those shoes in there?? I’m surprised your bowels are backing up since you can’t possibly have eaten anything in days.

do you read what you write here? – real impressive – yep.

This eddy47d character must follow you around on this site like a stray dog you mistakenly gave a biscuit to. He must not have much of a life, probably gives him something to do while he’s waiting on the monthly check.

          • JeffH

Doc Franklin, as Forrest Gump would say, “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get”!

  • Jim C.

Neither Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, the Tea Party, Conservatives, or gun owners have one iota of responsibility for the Tucson attacks. Zip. Nada. Zilch. The liberals have not one shred of evidence that conservative speech caused this lunatic to perform his evil deeds. This is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to silence conservative speech.

In Palin’s case it goes deeper. The liberals hate her because she is a strong, pro-life, conservative woman. Chief among these is she would not kill her Down’s syndrome baby. Unforgiveable. They can’t have that! the liberals get their marching orders from their god (the Devil), wheras God fearing conservatives get their marching orders from the God of Life.

  • Larry Tooley

Sarah Palin is a housewife that means she knows how to balance the budget. ANYBODY has as much experience as our African President. Sarah is the only reason I voted for McCain. Naturally freeloaders will hate her. I am tired of paying for them.

  • Joe

Just like Christine O’Donnell, Sarah Palin opened her mouth and nonsense came pouring out. Just because some nut case has no reason to shoot at someone, all it takes is the wrong statement to be made and be read by some madman, the shooting starts. And Larry Tooley says, Sarah Palin is a housewife that means she knows how to balance the budget. ANYBODY has as much experience as our African President. Sarah is the only reason I voted for McCain. Naturally freeloaders will hate her. I am tired of paying for them. Sounds to me like he’s one of those good ole boys that like to lynch and hang innocent people.

    • eddie47d

Then stop lynching Obama and get a gripe.

      • Papa

Obama is a klutz, a dupe, nothing there but campaign rhetoric. No common sense, no historical grounding and no idea at all where his policies will lead. His ideology is all he has. Take away his “book” and his “script” and he has nothing to say.

All that makes one wonder who it is behind the scene pulling his strings…

        • Deanna

Papa, I have been wondering the same thing is there anything there but sawdust!

The media has the power to twist any word that is spoken to satisfy their liberal minds. On a one on one debate with the media Sarah Palin would win hands down, no questios asked. She is the most down to earth individual I’ve ever heard speak. If they have proof and facts that she was an accomplise to the assasination atempt why don’t they arrest her. Their mouths get in their way and their foot is stuck way down in it. The sheriff in Tucson better stay out of politics and do his assigned job as an law enforcement officer. Sarah definately has my support. She has alot of moxey. Stay out of her way in 2012. All this does is increase her popularity. Anything negative usually does. Keep going Sarah.

All you conservative pundents who’re so desperate for a leader to believe in and trust still don’t understand the importance of selecting a leader who has organizational skills in the political arena at or near where the big boys play, like being a governor or senator for several years. The Washington sewer is not for neophytes. Sara Palin has had some experience as a mayor of a small community for a few years and governor for two after which she quit ostensibly because of the constant attacks by liberal opponents, which distracted from her effectivness as governor and cost taxpayers money as well as her own. Again, I like Sarah and absolutely love it when she shakes up the liberals. Frankly, should I be tempted to vote for a neophyte it would be Governor Christy of New Jersy. The man is blessed with a huge pair and he tells it like it is. He handles himself well in front of the camera, coming across as a no nonsense leader you don’t want to mess with. He admits himself he’s not ready for prime time as a presidential candidate but I suspect he’d be a good one. Here’s what I think would be a good ticket: Pick someone like Romney or Ron Paul with Sarah as VP. Unbeatable package! Then Sarah could get the experience needed for a run for the big seat as an understudy. I’d charge into the gates of hell and back for a president I could be proud of. Its certainly not Obama, Bush senior or junior, Clinton, Johnson, Nixon or even Kennedy. Possibly Reagan and certainly Truman in recent history and him only by default. We suck at selecting presidents. Hopefully that’ll change. THAT would be a change to believe in. If we fail to get someone effective into the whitehouse in two years and a liberal agenda is maintained, then this country is in far more trouble than anyone of us can possibly imagine.

JeffH-Joeh;You two were knocking others about not knowing much about hunting and how much meat Sarah got from that bull elk.You claimed about 300 pounds but I would say about 115 if she was lucky. That was not a bull elk but a caribou sometimes referred to as a reindeer.Your true colors are beginning to show.Cheneys looking for some hunting partners give him a call he can teach you two a few things.

    • JeffH

jopa, first things first. JoeH. said it was a bull elk, obviously a mistake, but you should get your facts straight as well. By the way, it was a “cow” which means it was a female caribou. Secondly, Sarah estimated they’ll get about 160 lbs. of meat, possibly a little high but not knowing the weight of the animal it is anybodies guess.

Adult caribou range in size from 3 to 4 feet tall. Their size and weight varies by sex and region. For example, caribou are fairly small in northern Alaska. Males average about 275 to 375 pounds, females about 200 pounds. In southern Alaska, caribou are considerably larger — males average 400 to 600 pounds and females average 200 to 300 pounds. Caribou and reindeer are the same species (Rangifer tarandus). Reindeer are a domesticated variety of caribou that are herded by humans and used for pulling sleds. Most reindeer occur in Scandinavia and Siberia. They generally are smaller and have shorter legs than their wild relatives. In Siberia, caribou are referred to as “wild” reindeer.

not having seen the show, I was going by what someone above had said, that it was a bull elk! Now YOU who claim to hate her seem to watch everything she does, are you sure you don’t idolize her????

        • JeffH

Joe, I knew what you were talking about but ole jopa was just looking for anything to biatch about, didn’t make any difference whether it was an elk or a caribou, the point was made about the meat harvested for the family and it was real, not staged just for the cameras.
Since the November slaughter they’re really getting worse.

“Palin’s Popularity Dips Following Liberal Attacks”

and her response , seems the writer left that part out.

Palin is being attacked because she has said and done enough that it was made possible and easy to do.

Now, ~ you have made it crystal clear that these “attacks” are to be seen as unwarranted without facts or foundation.

But if this was true, ~ there would be no attacks directed her way in regards to these “Lock & Load” ,” Don’t Retreat, reload” shooting situations.

Palin and thoses few people that wish to affiliate themselves with the extreme right that have shown in both word and deed their brazen willingness to openly speak of 2nd amendment solutions and display their fire arms have create the back drop and setting that any progressive, liberal, democrat could be seen as a potential target.

And you feel “Americans” are in error for bring this to your “collective” attention for due consideration after a democratic congressperson has been shot through the head?

So that makes you almost as smart as Palin and why Palin and the Tea Party will end up as only footnotes in history.

You can be taken serious enough to be given any responsibility in matter of government.

Now if the Tea Party might distance themselves from such people they might have a chance to make the meaningful changes they seek.

The question I have today, is ~ would you if you could and how many of you would be left to count.

In any case, the DNC is down a congressional vote today and we are not the least bit happy about it. Consider yourselves placed on notice by the rest of the country.

    • http://?? Joe H.

      bob wire,
if that were the only reason behind the lefts comments, they would be all over Nobama as well!! Remember, above I told you guys I don’t fertilize my garden till March so don’t send me that BS till then!!!

    ’bout time.

NEW YORK — Commentator Keith Olbermann signed off his msnbc cable television show Friday night after nearly eight years.
“Msnbc and Keith Olbermann have ended our contract,” Phil Griffin, president of msnbc, said Friday.

Wow eight years and I bet nobody died or was wounded because of his comments or posters.

Jeffh Well I see you googled caribou to get some facts on the animal. Now don’t try and tell me you knew all these stats off the top of your head. You can fool some of the people some of the time and you know the rest.Have a good day!!

    • JeffH

      jopa, I don’t “google” anything, I “bing”.

That was just a brilliant deduction on your part regarding my “research” on Caribou. Thought you you might like a little more info on the Rangifer tarandus.

  • Another Voice

The more Sarah talks, the more she shows that she is out for her own interests. Would she actually serve as president even if, by some miracle, she could be elected? I doubt it. The job wouldn’t pay enough to suit her. She gets much more mileage from presenting herself as a ‘persecuted patriot.’

    • JeffH

Just another baseless opinion. Way too lamestream bias influence to be your own voice.

    Mom’s Memory

I want all of my friends to feel what I felt when I read it.

Hope it touches your heart like it did mine. This is so beautiful…..Titled…A Mother’s Love

As the mother and her son walked together, hand in hand, along the beach, the son turned to his mother…

The little boy said to his mother, “Mommy, how come I’m black and you’re white?”
His mother replied, “Don’t even go there Barack! From what I can remember about that party, you’re lucky you don’t bark!”

let’s face it anyone who stands up for America has been on the scorecard for these idiots who need to attack truth I would not vote for her for President only because I want Huckabee and she would only bring more division to the issues.
If I want to know what the Republicans are doing to us I listen to CNN if I want to know what the Democrates are doing I listen to FOX. To bad only Glenn Beck has a brain on about any news stations anymore. Principals should be all the news worth items. But then again NO one is listening to the people anymore anyway I still say we need to throw them all out like dirt bath water (From the President all the way down to Congress, senate) We need another party that actually is of and for the people forget all the big business money and all the poor me advocates and let’s get back to principals

  • wendydarling

It is such a shame that some of our most capable, quality people are being trashed by haters. Not because they’re interested in the issues or what can be good for our country but because all they assume the media is telling them truths and, their emotions run rampant, and so they stoop to character assassinations or arguing emotional issues like racism when it doesn’t even apply. The goals of the lamestream media are aimed at stirring people emotionally when we really need to look at things with clear minds! Isn’t there a commandment about intentionally stirring up hate? (Well, there should be!) These are probably the same folks who show up to church on Sunday morning . . . quit turning on the news and look at the internet. Substantiate what you read in several places and learn who you can trust to tell you the truth. Then make up your mind, not your heart. America would never have come to fruition if the settlers had bashed each other instead of communicating and cooperating – they were too busy thinking and working and surviving and figuring out natural law.
