Palin Slams Obama Administration During Tea Party Keynote Address

February 11, 2010 by

Palin slams Obama administration during Tea Party keynote address During the weekend, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin delivered the keynote address to the attendees of the Tea Party movement’s first-ever national convention Feb. 6, saying that the Obama administration’s policies were causing America to "drown in debt."

Speaking in Nashville, Palin said that the government’s outsize spending—in particular its massive $3.8 trillion budget for fiscal year 2011—will place undue burden on the shoulders of future generations.

Palin also criticized Obama’s foreign policy, dismissing it as too conciliatory and failing to "distinguish America’s friends from her enemies" as well as face up to the "true nature" of the threats to national security.

In concluding her speech, the former Alaska governor affirmed her support for the Tea Party movement, stating that "America is ready for another revolution and you are part of this." However, she reportedly dismissed the idea of becoming its leader as it was not "a top-down operation."

Finally, a day after the speech, Palin, who is a new Fox News commentator, revealed on the air that she was receiving daily policy briefings from advisers, and hinted she might run for president in 2012.

Saw her speech. Except for some political rhetoric, she talked about issues that I am concerned about. Now it’s up to all of us to do something about it. Novemeber is our opportunity. Washington has no intentions of listening to the American people because they all believe they will be re-elected. As November approaches, watch all these slime buckets come out and tell us they feel our pain then blame their opponents for the mess were’re in. I’ve had enough of all their BS. Time for real change is this November. Lets put our votes where are mouths are. Vote them all out and elect representatives who will serve their constituents not themselves and the elite.

    • Louise

I agree with you it is time for change in Washington D.C.
Get rid of the ones who are not willing to talk and try to find a comprise. Which includes most of the Republicans.
Every President makes mistakes just look at George W. Bush!
Sarah Palin is not what this country needs!
By the way I am not jealous of her! I would not vote for her!

      • http://http// sarahb

Louise. what Obama has done to our country is not a mistake. He is intentionally trying to turn our country into a Muslim Country. He is trying to break us and make us so poor that we will have no choice. Remember when Russia made everyone turn in their pay checks to the government and they divved the money out to first the government and then to the entire population, so everyone got the same amount no matter how hard some worked for theirs. That is what Obama is trying to do. We pay for immigrants and people who won’t work, housing, food, medical, plus give them an allowance. This type of planning is not a mistake. Then, if we had wanted the overpriced cars made in the USA we would have bought them. Since we didn’t, he made us pay for them anyway as well as the Unions who helped get him elected. The banks were allowed to make loans for houses with payments they knew the purchaser couldnt pay, so when the banks were about to go under, who did he make pay for those loans. You and I. that was not a mistake. That was all done by a man who does not believe in our Constitution, nor the fact that American was founded on the principle that its people could live in freedom and have a country ruled for the people by the people. He has not given us a choice. That was not a mistake. He is the President who goes into foreign countries and apologizes for America’s stupidity. MISTAKE??????????

  • angelo nieves

I belive strogly when she refers about he do not reconize our enemies due the infeltration of comunist inside the white house. The perfect case is Hunduras and what those hereos done to prebent Zelaya take the country to the comunist. Well done Zara.

  • DaveH

She’s a babe, but I don’t want her running my life any more than I want Obama running my life. We need to get this country back to the Limited Government that our Forefathers tried to guarantee for us. Over the decades Americans have let that Freedom slip through their fingers as a result of laziness and apathy.
There is currently only one Political Party that advocates the type of freedom that our Forefathers did. Both the Democrat leaders and the Republican leaders are afraid of them, because those leaders like all the power and perks they get as part of the Big Government machinery. So, they have done their best to convince the MSM to ignore them, and to convince the Voters that we can only function as a two-party system. Bull! If you like people running roughshod over your life and the economy then stick with that two-party system. If you like Individual Liberty, Individual Responsibility, Limited Government, and Free Markets, there really is only one clear choice:

I miss the libertarian 19th century true Democrats, the ones who followed Jefferson and Madison, not the ones who now follow Rousseau and Marx, as cited in The Changing Face of Democrats on Amazon and claysamerica.com.

    • Dorothy

DaveH – I haven’t always agreed with you on this website, but I do
agree with your statements about the Libertarian Party. big o (not
capitalized on purpose, as he doesn’t deserve any respect from Americans) would choke to death on the Libertarian Platform, if he had
to read it word for word to “his” Americans from his teleprompter!
How are we going to get rid of him before he absolutely takes America
down completely. Talk is cheap, but who do we contact about all of
this? There are way more people in America who dislike him immensely than who actually “like” him!

      • IreneNY

Please don’t presume to speak for anyone other than yourself. I think that President Obama is trying to do his best for our country against great odds. Not just the huge problems that he faced when becoming president, but the enormous PR attack campaign coming from the right, which must be how they spend ALL their time because they sure are not helping in any way to alleviate problems for average Americans. He is a good man, a good husband and father and a good role model for us. Too bad you’re brainwashed by all the hated that is being spread by the right-wing. Shame on Republicans, they are beyond contempt. I believe in divine justice so I know that they will get their punishment eventually.

    • http://http// sarahb

Everyone who feels the way you and I do MUST let the Party(ies) know who we want to run for President. Majority rules!!!!!I love Sarah Palin but I have not made up my mind that she would be the right one for the Presidency. At this point, Newt Gangrich would be my choice, but that is not definate for me. We must keep a watchful eye on every Senator, and House member and be sure they are representing us and not the Unions and the lobbiest who pay them to vote their way. Why is it that many of them go into office, having used their life savings on their campaign and come out Filthy rich. They are being paid for their vote and money talks. They figure in four years they will be rich so to heck with those dumb people that voted us in office. Lets prove to them once again that they represent us, our choices, our needs, or out out they go. Soon they will get the message. Thanks to Sarah Palin for making people aware of the corruption in Washington and not backing down. She would make an awesome Vice President.

  • http://victorbarney@embarqmail.com Victor L Barney

I like Palin and feel that she’d be a great President, but I feel that she can not get the women support needed to be elected! After all, women are in the “majority” and tend to “decide” who actually wins elections, like obama. I’m still not convinced that she could pull the women to vote for her?

    • http://Don'thaveone Sally

You are correct Victor which is absolutely ashame. I think most of the women are jealous of her looks and what she was able to accomplish in Alaska. I personally don’t think we are ready for a woman yet – (such as a Golda Myier or an Iron Lady) but do feel we need one since we are only getting jelly fish as men.

      • Meteorlady

As a woman – I can tell you that there are some things I don’t like about Sarah. She’s nice, cute and sweet, but she quit! She quit when the going got tough. She quit and went on a lucrative book tour, a lucrative speaking tour ($100,000) just for appearing at the Tea Party rally, and took a job on Fox. That would make me ditch the governor’s job in Alaska to get more money and much better visibility. It is not that I would not vote for a woman – I would vote for Ms. Rice anytime as she is one smart and politically savvy woman. Sarah just isn’t ready yet. We need to be careful about the front that people present – that’s how we got Obama. He was articulate, we needed change and we elected a pig in a poke.

        • Al Spiker

I agree. I do not think Sarah is at this point presidential material. I fear that if she were to be nominated by the republican party, that Obama could win again, and I don’t think we can afford that. I actually don’t know if we can afford his remaining 3 years in office!

        • Joe H.

          Lady,
she quit as the dems were starting to bring false charges against her and she couldn’t do her job and go to court every day. I might add she was found innocent on all charges except one misdemeanor!!!!

        • http://mooresmorgue@hotmail.com John Moore

She quit because of all the nonsense litigation the tories (libs), were forceing her to defend herself against was costing Alaska a skunkpot full of money. It would be one thing if the attacks were against Alaska, but they were personal because she was governor. Why is it so wrong to put Alaska ahead of a personal problem. Frivolous litigation needs to be stamped out, this is the type of nonsense that shouldn’t be tolerated, that’s how these tories operate.

          • Fed Up Gal in NM

            Meteorlady,

Sorry…I meant to include this: I tend to agree with your opinion about voting for Condolesa Rice; however she doesn’t seem to be interested in running for the office (at least at this point). I still think Palin is fine. For some reason, women tend to be overly critical of other women who appear to have made it to a certain political level.

            Fed Up Gal

    • Fed Up Gal in NM

Good point, Victor; and women are always harder on other women. Go figure!

I will admit that Palin’s mannerisms sometimes annoy me, but there are many people who have annoying mannerisms…so I just try to look beyond that part and listen to her philosphy. She has a lifetime of experience when compared to Obama, and I’d surely vote for her over Jimmy Carter (as President, he was a total waste of baby food…as a co-worker used to say…LoL).

All in all, she’s better than most on the boarkwalk lately!

Victor–a number of highly educated women that I know did not vote for Sarah and they have said they wouldn’t vote for her in the future. They really think she is dumb. Whenever these women talk about Sarah I always think to myself–have you looked in a mirror lately? However, we have a bit of time yet and a lot can happen. I do not take anything for granted. Who knows–with the next election we may all be in for a surpise. I just hope and pray it is a good surprise.

  • Palin12

    Happy Birthday Sarah!

  • Rob Weinhold

I would like to see less criticism of the Obama administration even though much of it is well deserved. America is looking for someone with a positive, forward looking message. Bashing the current administration continues the Bush bashing frenzy that Obama continues to engage in, which has become tiresome and worn out. People have heard enough of what happened in the past and who may or may not be responsible for it. There is enough blame to go around to all parties and factions so trying to pin the rose of guilt on anyone one group is an exercise in futility. If Governor Palin wants to gain ground in a run for the Presidency she needs to focus on what she would do in the position and how she would fix things, while she points out the mistakes in policy that are currently being made, which are legion. A message of controlling Government spending, cutting back the size of the Federal Government, tax cuts across the board for the folks and corporations, strong national defense and an aggressive approach on terrorism, letting the market recover on its own and then standing back and watch the job situation recover, is a winning message. This voter can buy into that platform in a New York minute.

I really like Sarah… Problem is most people dont think she has enough education. That said, look at what education has done for us this year. Sarah would be much better than what we have now in my opinion she would at least listen to the people.

    • JeffH

Raggs, have you ever noticed which posters are always “bragging” about their college degrees and correcting grammar issues on this site. Higher education is somewhat over rated, especially when it pertains to job qualification. Take the presidency as an example….
I don’t need to say anymore than that.

      • Raggs

        Yeah,, that was my point.
This administration thinks they are much smarter than any citizen.
They want to dumb us down as much as they can making themselves above us. Sarah has common sence and thats alot more than we have now!!!!!

      • Norm

        JeffH
A college education is usually criticized most by those that don’t have one. It will not make a dumb person smart(look at W. Bush), but usally it teaches a person to think in a logical and organized manner, unlike you. If the courses are technical it also imparts specific knowledge, like calculus, engineering, medicine, etc. Judging from your ranting, I’d guess you never finished high school.

        • Joe H.

          Norm,
My father never finished highschool yet he took up welding, started his own business, built jig and fixtures, Did R&D work, Tool&die, even took an english ford Aglia and built a bulldozer out of it!!! I would like to see you accomplish all he did with your “education!!! Yes I have a college education, but I obviously learned one thing you didn’t…Not to look down my nose at people!!! You are just like your hero Obummer, think you are better than others when you aren’t!!!

          • Royce

I agree with you Joe, I think the college educated has done enough damage, I think a little common horse smarts is whats needed not a bunch of $20.00 words I just have a high school diploma and i would bet my farm I can do better than Obummer.

        • Claire

Norm– A thought —I am a high school graduate, and I pride myself on my work, I learned totally from experience. And guess what!!I am surrounded by numerous college grads and some have a total lack of common sense, no PR, are “average” in accounting, etc. I am appalled that they cannot figure a sum in their heads, probably because of using calculators all the time in school. And believe it or not, I can put out a lot more work than they do. And guess who the boss calls on when he wants a job done in a hurry and completed correctly—ME. And guess who the boss calls on when we have a new author–ME. And I am twice their age. Sometimes a person can have a tremendous amount of book learning and still cannot function in the real world. A good education is great, and yet there are plenty of smart people out there in this world that do not have a college education. It is up to the individual to do a good job or a mediocre job, college education or not.

          • Norm

            Claire
An education can only make a good person better.

          • jim

Hi Claire, Higher education will only take a person so far. Work ethic, responsibility, and experience can’t be taught and count for alot on a job.

          • Claire

jim–Responsibility, good work ethics, and doing a good day’s work is the key.

          • Claire

jim–of course, there are times when I wish I would have gone to college and become an archaeologist. I have to admit it was in the back of my mind for many years. But, realistically I have no regrets. My life has been good, and my husband is tops!

        • jeffH

Norm, you don’t even get my meaning do you?

        • Fed Up Gal in NM

          Norm,

You’re right about that, and I plan to keep criticizing folks who make a career of going to college on the backs of the middle and lower middle class folks who are too busy working to support those who are not willing to get there on their own (or at least with minimal mandated hand-outs)! I guess if you’re not in that group, then it won’t bother you too much. Oooops…if it does….so sad, to bad.

Raggs–Sarah is a very attractive lady. I think she likes money and this is what she is going after. She probably doesn’t care what any of us think, she is laughing all the way to the bank. And good for her, if this is what she wants. I think Sarah does need more experience. Maybe it will come in time. Sure, I would love to see a woman become President, but I truly believe we need a man in the White House, especially with the wars and all that is going on.

      • Fed Up Gal in NM

        Claire,

I understand your feelings on this subject. I would however suggest a bit of caution in generalizing a man would be better in the White House during wartime….quite possibly true, but then again…there are no guarantees.

Similar case in point: During Desert Shield/Storm (1st Gulf War), there were no women in our ANG unit that requested to separate from service…whereas there were quite a few men who did.
Just my experience and food for thought. I was even a bit surprised, albeit pleasantly.

Fed Up – For some reason, my thoughts, upon reading your message to Claire, made me think of Golda Meir — I might be a few years older than you so you may not remember this. There was this wonderful poster during the late 60′s of Golda’s face – and all it said was “But Can She Type” —

        • Claire

Fed Up Gal in NM—at this point in time I do not believe there IS a woman qualified to deal with the problems we have today, including war. If there was someone like Margaret Thatcher, it would be fine, but personally I do not see anyone on the horizon that fits those qualifications. Democrat or Republican.

  • Americanadian

Sarah Palin chose to quit her post as Governor of Alaska in the middle of her term. This action really speaks loudly the type of politician she has become. I consider her motives to be self serving and not of the people. If she were President, would she quit that too? I don’t believe she has every American’s best interest at heart. Every American includes: rich, poor, straight, gay, conservative, liberal, religious, atheist, Republican, Democrat, just to name a few. She presents herself as too decisive; driving a wedge between people as opposed to supporting ALL Americans, which come from all walks of life. And just once, I would like to hear her say something positive about President Obama. Even Bush probably did one thing positive.

    • Raggs

      I think your wrong…
Palin was slandered by the current administratiion to the point of dropping out.. Just take a look everyday someone is throwing stones at her… Her heart is with the people and that scares the hell out of obama!!!!!!!

      • independant thinker

The stone throwing will only get worse. If she cannot take it now how will she stand it as president. I personaly think she is about as qualified as Obama to be president. If whe has presidential asperations she should run for congress or the senate, show up for the debates and vote on the issues. After one or two terms of responsible representation of her constitutants she would be much more qualified to be president.

        • Joe H.

          Independant,
It wasn’t that she couldn’t take it, she couldn’t do her job and spend all the time she was in court!!! she quit because she thought she owed more to the state than she could give them!

          • Curtis S

Yeah, imagine what a hassle it must be when people want to take you to court over a birth certificate?

          • independant thinker

My point still stands. Whether she “couldn’t take it” literaly or couldn’t take it because it distracted her from her job it will only get worse and she will have more “stones” thrown at her that she will have to respond to with less time to do it.

          • Fed Up Gal in NM

Yes Curtis; imagine also…what someone might be hiding, if they won’t simply produce a birth certificate. Honestly, I don’t know if Obama has a U.S. birth cirtificate or not; however, I do believe he could resolve the discussion very easily by simply producing one….thereby ending the distraction.

I think Sarah has Obama scared because she is saying what the people want to hear ….. lower taxes, less government, and follow the Constitution. She has enough education to be elected as governor of Alaska and in Washington getting re-elected is all they care about. I think she would be an improvement over what we have had in DC for the last twenty one years. My concern is how would she get Congress to make the changes needed with the present massive debt and hundreds of executive orders and other regulations that have destroyed this nation. We need to throw out most of Congress and hang a lot of them for treason. The problem has been accumulating for many years and is at the point where the currency had been debased for so long that bankruptcy is almost inevitable now. Throwing Obama out tomorrow because he was born in Kenya, wouldn’t change the basic problem, but might postpone it a few years.

Sarah Palin prooved her ability to lead this country when she cleaned out the Alaskan political system. That took real courage.
The news media even sent twenty or more to Alaska to try to dig up dirt to throw at her, without success. This country needs a firm leader with a proven record of ethical qualities. Total up the condition of our country after the results of the past three Presidents, who ran our nation into disaster. They were “three-strike-outers.” It’s time to get a cool character from Alaska.

The “fun” has only just begun! Just wait until the Chinese get sick and tired of funding our debt, as they have been doing since 2002 or 2003, and they decide to pull the plug. If you think things are bad now, “you ain’t seen nuthin’ yet!”
Because of the “Great Recession”, Bernanke and the Federal Reserve were busy oiling and inking the printing press which quickly began rolling out billions upon billions of soon to be worthless pieces of paper, back by nothing other than a big blast of hot air, which is the only answer the Fed and Bernanke have for what ails America! Just like the Fed, today, Germany had a currency that came to be known as federgeld – feather money! America seems to be stumbling into the same mine fields. Bernanke is a product of the Bush administration.
There was a time when the dollar was backed by gold, and subsequently by silver. It was real money!

        • Joe H.

          Vinnie,
Lucky for us the Chinese are smarter than you!! They know that if they call all of our debt due we will have no choice than to go bankrupt and then they will get nothing on the trillions they loaned us. think they will try to come take the U.S.? I guarantee it will cost them more than we owe!!! Too many patriots that will fight with clubs if they have to!

          • Vinnie

Stop living in a glass bubble! It is later than you think. In their irrational way the Chinese have the ability to do anything that pleases the hierarchy!

          • SiliconDoc

The Chinese will just sell all their crap to their own 300 million middle classers, while they have the 800 million peasants make the crap.
You’ll see, the old whine and cry that we have to buy all their crap and so are safe is coming to an end.
Since we don’t make it- we will run out of money to buy it, and all that is needed is a nose dive dollar and a new monetary world unit – which darn near happened this last time – as the IMF already implemented it digitally.
After the big crash, those consuming will be those making the tiems for consumption, and that won’t be us.

Palin on the Mike Wallace show, on Fox (the voice not of the people BUT against the people):
“I want to speak up for the American people and say: No, we really do have some good common-sense solutions. I can be a messenger for that. Don’t have to have a title to do it.”
It is absolutely astounding that this babbling rabble rouser “doesn’t have to have a title”. Who does she think she is kidding? She is a “wanna’be” president of the USA. This is what this pistol packing bumbler is aiming for.
If she really wanted to show good common-sense she would go home and practice being a good mother, especially to her wanton daughter.

      Vinnie,

Before you accuse someone of not being a good mother, you might want to reflect on how your postings come across. Will you be proud for your kids to read these comments later? When you try to teach them that it’s okay to engage in “civil” discourse, will you be able to mentor that to them? Just wondering.

Sarah is getting all this FREE publicity because the bilderbergs want her to have it, The plutocrats are trying to take over the Tea Party movement to make sure they have a canidate that will support there ideaoligies. All most all of the elections I have participated in at the presidential level as far as i can remember, the elected have been a joke for leadership skills, Barack did inherit a mess that has been building for the last 40 years, he is just trying to finish us off!!! I was embarassed by the 2 choices in the last election that we had to vote for, Dumb & Dumber verses Ignorant & more Ignorant. The Tea party movement is a good start, we just need to be very careful who we choose to represent us! Ron Paul is the only canidate that has excited me in the last 30 years. His Voting record is why!!Sarah, Obamma, The Bushes, Clintons. Reagan, Carter, none of these had voting records at the federal level that could be tracked, for any amount of time, that gave the voter a real record to base a opinion on. They were all the choice of the media. The propanganda machine. Stalin was quoted that the wall would fall, we would believe that communism was dead, that the west would be lulled to sleep!!! they would start with our shcools & our goverment, dumb us down, make every thing politically correct. Then BAM comunism would be shoved down our throats, while we slept thru it!!! people need to wake up, Everybody needs to vote for a person that believes in the constituion, that has a real voting record, for the constitution. the media is owned & controlled by the Bilderbergs, the propaganda machine keeps on rolling.

    United we stand…divided we fall.

Is it better to be right, or be happy?

  • Chris O

thank you Raggs, I have been reading these bloggs for quite a while & i have not replied, it amazes me how ignorant most of these sheeple are, fox ,cnn, abc nbs, are all owned by the people that run the world. they have infiltrated every election/ our goverment, since the late 1800′s, there are true patriots out there, that can save this country, but the media, & 2 voting machine manufactures that control the outcome. I believe that it was Lenin that stated it dont matter who votes, all that matters is who count the votes.

  • Bill

Obama has all sorts of birth certificates. One done on a recently manufactured printer, published on the Democratic web site that doesn’t tell the hospital, Doctor, or hospital administrator. Another one of more acient origin in Kenya that gives the Doctor, his baby footprint, hospital administrator and agrees with the highway sign that brags about Kenya being his birth place as you enter Kenya. It also is in agreement with his college records when he claimed to be a foreign national to get his scholarship restricted to foreign national students. It also agrees with the testamony given by his paternal grandmother who said she was at his birth in Kenya. Obama is an illegal alien financed into the White house by the Palistinians and the President of Lybia as they have publically claimed. He is not a legal President, and he plans on being King.

  • Bill

Sorry, my mistake. He plans on being emperor for he outranks all the Czars, which is the Russian name for kings.

We as a Nation have got to some how get this joker out of the oval office and back to his Muslim people. Time is of essence. I’m going to look into every crack and cranny to get it down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Vinnie. Remember the debate when Sarah Palin said,”Iran is a small country that is a threat to noone. Just for uttering that one statement alone, she should be disqualified from the presidency. RIGHT?Except Obama the articulate simpleton said it. That is O.K. though,he is a Democrat and evidently they have become the ninth affirmative action protected class. With or without a teleprompter Obama and that idiot Biden average about three moronic statements a week. MSM glosses right over them. Hey Vinnie,We are going to insure 40million more people, hire no more doctors and guess what? Beeter care, more availability and cheaper too! Hey, I for one am waiting for the beer, pizza, ice cream, cheeseburger diet! More fat, more calories, more suger-10 pounds a week

Sarah Palin, this modern day biblical resurrection of the “She Monster” Lilith. She, as well as the garden tea party gang, should be dunked, like the tea bags they are, into boiling hot water, and allowed to brew and stew in their own venom!
This venomous viper, this malignant and treacherous Medusa, is out there fulfilling the prophecy of hatred!
    ________________________________________________________________________
It is a political tactic to denigrate a rival so your own political value rises. That is what Sarah is doing. It depends on how many Americans she can convince (hoodwink?) with her rhetorics. It is up to you guys to blog to death the importance of looking at the other party and what they have to offer the American people, e.g. health care. I say no more. Blog on dudes.

    • jim

Hi Juan Looney, I have looked at what the other party has to offer, Redistribution of wealth, Universal healthcare, progressovees for socialism, comrad. And that 14 trillion dollar defecit is really not looking good. Maybe you should take your own advice and take a good hard look of who your supporting. And quoting Vinnie really doesn’t offer more credibility to your statement.

  • Juan Looney

Will Jimbo there’s not much I can do, except to say look again. You no likee universal health care? You no likee redistribution of wealth? You do not want IMMIGRANTS to live in a house with running water? Maybe your brain will recognize what garbage Dubya and the GOP has been dishing out for the last 8 years. And look where the USA is now.

Maybe we could blame Obama for the mess he has created in how many months? I do not know how to count without taking my shoes off.

    • jim

Hi Juan,The Healthcare Reform Bill is not so much to reform healthcare as it is for the government to take over one sixth of the U.S. economy that is health care. If you look at the history of all the other things the govornment has tryed to do and failed miserably at do YOU really want them running something as important as YOUR healthcare? You are correct I don’t want redistribution of wealth. People that EARN there money should be able to KEEP it. How much of YOUR paycheck do you want to have forcefully taken from YOU? I don’t understand your comments about imigrants not having running water, if they came into this country legally and have a job so they can afford a good house more power to them and it would be easier for them to achieve that if they don’t have to pay out a boatload of taxes. In 2006 the economy was growing, unemplyment was at a record low and the stock markets were at record highs. The the Dems took over the congress, where the real power is in 2007, about the time things started to slide. The dem congress that had Obama as a Senator is a big part of the problem we’re in now and when the Dems held a supper majority in congress and the Whitehouse to quote you” And look where the U.S.A is now”. During the Bush administration the Dems had the Senate for the first 2 years of it and all of congress for the last 2 years of it. There was no 8 years of Reps completely in charge. So please take another good hard look at who you are suporting. (Please keep your shoes on.)

      • American liberal

Jim…the 2006 democrats took control of congress because the Economy was already failing…they didn’t get control because everything was rosey as you claimed…another point your wrong about is the democrats in 2006 were called the ” Do nothing congress” because of the lack of bills they passed…. Name 1 bill they passed that could have tanked our economy?… You can’t do it, cause it didn’t happen.. The 2006 congress spent most of it’s time fighting with Bushs administration over his hiding the cost of the war and not including it in the budget…and don’t forget Bush had ” veto power”….now name me that 1 bill the democrats passed that could have damaged our economy… I’m sure you can think of something…

  • Juan Looney

Let us go back to Sarah Palin. You and the GOP should go ahead and have Sarah Palin, nominated, and elected as president of the USA. The system works well. Government by the people, for the people, and of the people, but the Electoral College decides who becomes president.

The land of the free and the home of the brave, but no to universal health care. Too many ambitious and greedy leaders who believe they are the chosen one to lead the country to the promised land. Too many scoundrels and scalawags mostly in Wall Street. Too many citizens who think they know the answer to the $64 question. And you have to live with it. Good luck.

  • jim

Juan, Good Luck to you too. I hope it works out for you.

who’s to say what kind of an education O has—he may have a degree, but how did he get into college in the first place and what were his grades—-I know lots of college students who shouldn’t even be in college and some who’ve graduated who cant even read, write, or speak.

Well I’ve read all of you. Arguing with eachother is exactly what “THE GREY GOVERNMENT” want us to do….Divide and conquer. These people who are our government that we have supposedly voted in to represent us are all puppets. Do your homework people. We are not the United States of America but rather The United States CORPORATION owned and operated by Britian who is controlled by the Vatican who is ultimately controlled by the Jesuits. DO YOUR HOMEWORK… PEOPLE. Stop bashing each other… come together get facts and then revolt. I’m old and tired now but I do not give up and I certainly won’t go out without a fight. Stay angry… get your heads out of the sand and tell everyone youu meet not to be complacent. That is the real killer. Looking forward to your thoughts. Nani

I’d love nothing better than to see Sarah run for president… But… It’s not her lack of education that’s the real issue…it’s her lack of commonsense….id like to see her down in the gulf cleaning oil of the birds that can’t fly anymore and will face almost certin death…I understand the planets enviorment doesn’t matter to any conservatives… But I’d like a planet that life thrives on…

I keep hearing about Obama being born in Africa. You all do know that Obama’s father married two(2) white women. The first was Obama mother that stayed in America and the (2) that went to Africa with his father. I guess a lot of people are getting the two women mixed up and trying to make the childrens that was born to the 2nd wife be Obama and not his half brothers.
