Palin Gripes About Fox News On Facebook

NEW YORK (UPI) — Sarah Palin used Facebook as a platform to complain about Fox News canceling her appearance Wednesday at the Republican National Convention.

“I’m sorry Fox cancelled all my scheduled interviews tonight because I sure wanted to take the opportunity on the air to highlight Senator John McCain’s positive contributions to America, to honor him, and to reflect on what a biased media unfairly put him through four years ago tonight,” the Facebook post reads.

New York Magazine said the post revealed a rocky relationship between the network and the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate.

Palin and Fox are in the early stages of contract negotiation and the magazine’s sources say Fox executives have been disappointed by Palin’s ratings. Earning roughly $1 million a year from Fox, she is the network’s highest paid contributor. The magazine said Palin has been unhappy because Fox has not been giving her top billing.

The magazine said Palin’s agent Bob Barnett did not respond to a request for comment. Fox News said it looks forward to “a long and beneficial relationship with the governor.”

If that is what she said, I sure as hell do not call it griping. Apparently, Personal Liberty has joined the bash Palin bandwagon. If your report is accurate, she was merely expressing her regret at being cancelled by Fox. This sort of thing is typical of the brain dead media.

      Harold,
Check the byline. This is an UPI article reposted by PL, including the headline.
As for “griping”, I don’t see anything in her statement to support it either. I can only assume that the writer is allowing other reports about her contract negotiations to color his view. Bottom line, this is how the free market works. If Palin isn’t pulling in the viewers as she once was, she’s not going to get top billing or pay.

A couple of years ago I was on an Alaskan cruise and we stopped in Ketchikan. There was Clint Eastwood trying to buy a bag of ice.He went over to the ice box outside to retrieve a bag and it was empty.I cold hear him mumbling under his breath”Sarah oh Sarah you are so frigid, you know what you can do to yourself “. I thought to myself, well he’s just a confused older guy and let it go.

“jopa,” I AM JEALOUS! YOU HAVE BEEN TO ALASKA – I WANT TO GO!

      • JimH

Christopher, If you ever get the chance, go, it’s worth it.
jopa, We went to Denali, Flew around the mountain and landed on Ruth Glacier. We then went to Seward and took a boat out to where the Glaciers come down into the fiords.
We would like to take the cruise you described in one of your entries. It sounded like alot of fun.

Christopher: If you do go to see Alaska the best way is by cruise ship from Vancouver BC through the inside passage. We did some salmon fishing in Ketchikan and at the end of the cruise we chartered a float plane to fly over the glaciers.JimH I still would go back just to see Denali and ride the Alaskan railway in the fall. All of the eagles in Alaska are a sight to behold rather than the ones we have here in Philadelphia.
