Paladino Faces Backlash Over Controversial Comments About Homosexuality

October 18, 2010 by

Paladino faces backlash over controversial comments about homosexualityRepublican gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino of New York has received harsh criticism following his recent comments about homosexuality.

During a meeting with Hasidic Jewish leaders on Oct. 10, the Tea Party-backed hopeful said that he doesn't want children "brainwashed into thinking homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option," according to media reports. He was making reference to his Democratic opponent in the New York gubernatorial race, Andrew Cuomo, who marched with his young daughters in a gay pride parade.

Politico.com reports that former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani has criticized Paladino for his comments.

"All candidates should be focused on solutions to our problems and not the personal lives of our fellow citizens. He should recognize his remarks were highly offensive and he should apologize for them," Giuliani said in a statement, according to the news provider.

Meanwhile, the New York Daily News reports that political commentator Ann Coulter has defended Paladino, calling him a "great warrior" who wants to cut taxes. During an appearance on FOX News, she said that Paladino was simply telling his audience, a group of conservatives, what they wanted to hear.

"He's speaking to Hasidim. It's like going to Chicago, you say 'Go Cubs'," Coulter told the news provider.

So Cuomo is now a great guardian of morality and free speech. Just in case anyone is wondering, it’s election time, and NOTHING makes the thin-skinned crowd more vocal than buzzwords or hot topics that wax and wane.
Cuomo is a pc engineer. Cuomo has a bad case of oral flatulence, and he’s probably being considered for a special Obummer reward if he can ‘deliver.’
Paladino knows the risk of speaking his mind when sharks are circling. He’s a politician. Either he’ll survive or he won’t.

  • http://abcdef Wm P. Martin

I’d like to be there when one of Cuomo’s daughters comes home and announces she’s getting “married” to her black female partner… Oh, ho, wanna see a fast change?

    • Robert S

Wm P He would probably enjoy it. He was AG of NY for 4 years and did nothing about Wall Street because he’s in their pocket. A weasel like his old man. I guess the people have forgotten about him.

When oh when will our foundational roots come back? EVER? Remember when wrong was wrong and truth was truth? Our current selection of leaders leaves little to be desired; for if none of them will return us to our fundamental genetics, we as a nation are doomed. Pray for Godly leaders to be elected this fall who will have the intestinal fortitude to call homosexual behavior what it is. And who will call wasteful and reckless spending what it is..and work to eliminate both from our public square.

    • Mike In MI

Jimbo – “…will our foundational roots ever come Back? EVER?”

Probably not. Want evidence? This system as it was originaly set up was supposed to be run by the will of the MAJORITY via the laws the MAJORITY wanted established via the representatives in Congress. But, instead, what have we go now? If the will of the majority opposes the desires, immorality or free exercise of stupidity of some “suppressed” or “oppressed” group (whose support some politician seeks) the present Supreme Court is likely to decide in favor of the minority’s position. Based on what? Well, “feelings” (Soto-Maior), foreign nations’ legal decisions, new usages of words instead of as used by the framers, percieved cultural nuances, perceptions that the Constitution should be a “living document” or what some liberal appointee thinks is a desireable new direction for America’s future. Sometimes, anything but what is the present standing of the nation’s laws.
In other words, we are no longer a nation of stable laws but a nation of “feelings” and “transformative activists” (who have no clear vision of where their definition of change will terminate).
Other than that where did Jesus Christ indicate that, “evil men would wax better and better”?

I don’t see what was offensive in Paladinos remarks. He spoke the truth..he spoke what he believes..just because it rankles the nerves of gay extremist activists with an agenda..he’s supposed to apologize? Is this what we want in leadership..liars and decievers all for the sake of political correctness?Cuomo already pandering to the perverse has promised to bring gay marriage to NY.As for Guiliani,he’s another one who’ll pander to any group for a vote and sell the collective soul of society out for whoever has the cash to buy them.Paladino should never have apologized..theres nothing to be sorry for.I certainly will never allow my children to accept homosexuality as a normal and acceptable lifestyle and I’ll never vote for anyone who supports this perversive attack on the family.Unfortunately living in NY,a liberal blue state as bad as Massachusetts I know the idiots and fools will vote little Cuomo in based on his pathetic fathers name.Unfortunately some things will never change.I do hope people will stop accepting the immoral trash that is forced upon us by these spineless politicians by simply not voting in anyone supporting immoral agendas.Hey Mr.Cuomo..your supposedly a Catholic..try reading Romans 1:16-32.

For the record I am not against homosexuals as people.I am against their agenda of promoting it as a civil rights issue.I’m against the whole concept of publicizing who you have sex with as a public matter.I’m against the act and sin of this lifestyle..I’m against the perverseness of it and the forcing of it upon children through the schools systems.Just watch a gay pride parade and judge for yourselves if they’re normal..men dressed as woman and vice versa..people half naked acting obscenely..freaks and weirdos the whole lot.I believe gays should simply live their lives quietly..I don’t understand why this needs to be shoved in our faces. Why do they have to march as gay Irish or gay this or gay that?Whose the ones making issues if being gay?The gays are..if none knew no one cares..whats wrong with civil unions? The whole purpose is to attack the family unit, the institution of marriage..everything about homosexuality is unnatural..they cannot reproduce..they either have to have children through adoption or artificial means..the sex act alone is all about lust and pleasuring themselves off on another..society needs to open it’s eyes and stand against this attack on families,on society as a whole.

    • Matt

Ok, John, you are right; so why walk it back. So are these good or bad people perpetuating a really bad agenda? They are perverse people pushing a perverse lifestyle. Do good people promote really bad things? You can not separate people from the things that they do or what they say. Romans 2:5-6 Because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God. Who will render to every man according to his deeds. Also words reveal Character Matthew 12:33-37. Verse 37 states: “For by your words you shall be justified and by your words you shall be condemned”. As the constitution correctly states God give us our freedoms, not the government. That includes the freedom to do right and wrong in God’s eye. These people have the freedom to do these things, but will be judged accordingly. We know this behavior to be wrong, because God has declared it to be an abomination. That is why the liberals are trying to run God out of our lives and country. The basis for all that they do. God bless.

      • James

Matt, Good post! I would say, however, the constitution doesn’t say God gave us our freedoms. The Bill of Rights just says “Congress shall make no law” respecting, abridging or infringing on them.

      • http://naver samurai

What does Romans 1 versus 26 – 28 tell us about the gays? You can’t use the Bible to advance the gay cause, it doesn’t work that way. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

    • alpha-lemming

Good post. I know/have known a few gays and none I’d consider evil. And don’t confuse “genetic” gays (~0.0005-1.5% population) with converts (all the rest). By their very nature, the “trait” will never be passed onto subsequent generations and must arise via mutation. The great majority of people in that community are there by choice and I suspect the ones raising a stink. The agenda is exclusively for the stroking of fragile egos to give wierdos with faulty wiring the illusion of main-stream acceptance.

  • http://gunner689 gunner689

The only mistake Paladino made was apologising for his comments. He was correct; our children shouldn’t be exposed to the homosexual freak show. These people are deviants and perverts, regardless of what the PC crowd says.

    • FlaJim

Almost took the words out of my mouth. A pervert is a pervert. These people can be helped through counseling to return to being normal and millions have.

What’s galling is that these wierdos comprise less than 3% of society, yet want special privileges that outrage the majority and leave most of us feeling creepy.

Yes, we DO have a right to legislate certain standards of decency in society. That’s why it’s called civilization.

Paladino’s original comments were commendable but he shouldn’t be apologizing for them when the perverts and their enablers get in a huff afterward.

What is your point in this posting of yours? It has nothing to do with someone speaking out against gays and, basically, being forced to take back what he said. It is true that gays are wrong in the eyes of God and will be held accountable for their actions in their lives when they are judged by God. Being a nurse I can tell you that there is no such thing as being gay a DNA trait. That arguement has been disproven many years ago. I’ve heard of people becoming gay after some tragic event in their lives (molesting, rape, sexual assult), but those numbers are miniscule at best. The rest are because they have left the natural way God has set up and are now paying the price for their actions. What ye sow, so shall ye wreap. Thank you.

Okay (I’m a heterosexual). So how in any way shape or form does a person’s natural inclination to be gay harm ANYONE ELSE? And I do say “natural inclination” because that’s exactly what it is for a VAST majority of Gay people. Afterall, who in their right mind would want to just be Gay in this society? The reason it’s pushed as such an important issue is because they have no other choice, and no person should have to change who they are just to satisfy a bunch of zealous bible quoting bigots. And don’t get me wrong, freedom of religion is a founding principle of this country and I believe everyone has a right to exercise it freely. However, I believe it has no place in government, and obviously there’s a LOT of spillover… the life of a Gay person should not be influenced by somebody else’s personal religious beliefs. Gays rights “are” civil rights issues because they “are” people just as much as any standard heterosexual Joe Schmoe. Would you want to be denied the right to marry the most important person in the world to you because your neighbor thinks “your” inclination is “unnatural and amoral?” Quoting the bible is no argument–if you want to make a legitimate agrument, put your bible away and take out the Constitution. The Media gives gays a bad rep when they publicize Gay Pride parades because you see half-naked crossdressers waving rainbow flags. THIS IS NOT A THE FACE OF ALL GAY PEOPLE. Nobody wants to be spoken for, and “normal” Gay people are obviously very quiet about themselves and don’t push extreme agendas or make a huge fuss; they only want to live peacefully, as they are, equal to everybody else.

          • http://naver sook young

I’m sorry Matt, but quoting the Bible and living by it isn’t being a biggot. You say that this doesn’t effect other peoples way of life? How could it not? I remember in 1991, I watched our soldiers come home from Desert Storm. My husband was only a corporal at that time and he marched with his unit. After the patriotic parade welcoming our soldiers home, they had a gay parade. Why did they have to have a gay parade after the troops? They just took a time of celebration, patriotism, and welcoming and turned it into a mockery. Many of them, were like you said, dressed “differently”, wore make up, and acted like such children that it was hard for anyone there to bear. You say “I’m a heterosexual”, but how do we know this? We only have your word on this matter. Why is it also that as soon as someone mentions God, Jesus, the Bible, or Christianity on a site and the subject has to do with the gays someone always has to jump on someone. I don’t believe in the gay anything, they aren’t a welcome part of this country. Say anything you want, but I’ll never change my mind. You also say how the Bible should have no part in our government? What principles do you think this country was founded on? These founding fathers didn’t just wake up one day and said this is how it will be done. All our rights come from God, not our fellow man. We were founded on principle from the old testiment, new testiment, and our laws based on the 10 Commandments. Do you know that they have a daily prayer at the Indiana Legislature before they commence work? Do you know the they pray in the U.S. Senate? I don’t believe in them forcing their perverted ways onto the average American and saying that it is OK. You say for me to put away my Bible and get out the Constitution? Which Amendment under the Constitution specifically says that being gay is OK? None! Do they have rights? No one has taken away their rights of speech, religion, bearing arms, etc, so I can never understand why you all always bring up this subject? You are all so ignorant and childish to keep, as my husband would say, beating the dead horse. Some states say they can marry, but most do not, thank the Lord our God. This was also the downfall of Sodom and Gomorrah and I don’t want this country to become as immoral and unethical as they were. As former president Reagan said: “We can make America great again”, but we can’t do it if we sit idly by and let the forces of immorality and unethical behavior take over this society. We need to stand by our Christian founding and our Christian founding fathers to do this. Thank you.

sook young, our founding fathers were religious, but they weren’t Catholics. Some were of Quaker background.
Our founding fathers put in the part about the separation of Church and State specifically to prevent any Religion from becoming the ruling one. Some fled England to get away from the corruption of the Church.
How can some Religions shoot down the Book of Mormon as being written by a crack pot when the Bible could have been written by crack pots also. We have absolutely no proof of anything either way. It Is strictly faith that we believe in the Bible, not any concrete proof.
If you really want to know what God’s Intentions are, then look at Nature, for it can not choose or lie. Since there are plenty of animals that are “gay” and never procreation, then there is no doubt that God made gay people, and their purpose probably is to keep mankind from over population the World as we are doing now. We have stopped or reduced most of Nature’s (God’s) way of keeping the population in check, so maybe God has decided to curb mankind’s over population in a way that man can not easily interfercwith. And remember, the King James version of the Bible was translated to King James specifications, not to literal and true translation of the original texts. The current version of all Religious “Textbooks” are written to the specifications of those that were in power at the time of the last translations.
Without being able to read and understand the original texts, we don’t know what the truth may be.
After finding out that some of the texts have been translated differently at different times, I chose not to believe anything written by man as coming from God. I believe in what I see in Nature as God’s true Intentions over what has written been by any man.

          • http://naver sook young

As long as it says in the Bible that it is wrong, that’s what I’ll believe. I’ve never heard of gay animals and think you just made that up. If not, please cite your references and let me look them up. I’m also not a Catholic, but I am Protestant. God didn’t create gay people and you cannot prove that, so please don’t bother me with things that are hopelessly false and without fact. Being gay is not natural and is wrong in God’s eyes. To say it any other way may be your right, but that doesn’t make it right. You act like it is your right to choose, but it isn’t. You sound like that you want the real Christian to fall for the mainstream conventional twisted teaching that the moral of Sodom and Gomorrah had to do with hospitality in a harsh desert like environment. This is homosexual nonsense! This is just some of the sickness that is infesting this country. What rubbish you print on this site! You are also distorting our choice of free will and freedom to choose. It is actually the doctrine of free will and freedom to choose means “TO SERVE OUR GOD OR NOT SERVE OUR GOD” and nothing else. You’re simply saying that it is their right to do this or that it is DNA based, then you know absolutly nothing about what you say. The DNA arguement has been disproven many years ago. No, God didn’t make some people gay to control population, he did it by saying wait till you are married. Can you tell me the evidence and facts that you have to back up what you are saying? Please answer my questions and no left leaning things either. Thank you.

            Sook:

You offer absolutely no evidence that gays are pushing some sort of radical agenda on the American people, and they’re not. Second, you’re grouping them all universally into the same group and you of all people cannot speak for Gays. They only want their God-given rights to walk this Earth as equals with everyone else. Also, you make it sound like people like you are some huge majority: you and every other bible-quoting right wing conservative homophobe are a MINORITY. Americans are predominately moderate, and that’s why most sensible human beings don’t hate on Gay people just because of one aspect about them. All that matters is that they are successful contributing members to society that fit in with everybody else, and if you have a problem with the person they love, then that’s just too bad. AND, somebody’s Gay private life does not affect you and, if you believe in God which you do not have to in this country by any measure, you need to let God judge people for their actions and stop trying to be a middle man. All the time, social conservatives think they’re somehow preserving the sanctity of marriage by denying Gays the right to marry, and I have to laugh when I know how hypocritical that argument is… there is a divorce rate of 50%+ in this country, how on God’s green earth is that sanctified? I don’t know how denying somebody else their rights somehow makes yours more special. You cling so strongly to religion to make any argument and that is a critical flaw. I don’t care if you believe in God: if you did, maybe you wouldn’t question his authority when he made Gay people as they are. They have a right to exist here and they can do as they please. A lot of blood has been shed to preserve the principles that allow them to live here and not be some kind of hated scum. You’re wrong: if you’re an American at heart and you respect American values of civility and respect and hard work, you are welcome here.

          • Matt

I will also say Sook, going to Don’s comment, LOL! You said:”God didn’t create gay people and you cannot prove that.” You can’t even prove the existance of God, so who are you to say that Don’s facts are false!? Also, you said you wanted us to get a little more in touch with our roots like our forefathers originally had planned for us. If you really meant that, go throw away your computer and burn your voter registration materials, since the founding fathers also believed women had no voice in government and were to be seen and not heard. LOL! And quit telling people they’re childish, it’s annoying and I think the basis of any of your arguments are childish and invalid.

          • http://naver sook young

Sorry Matt, but you are wrong. The gays in this country aren’t an official minority, they are a minority in their beliefs and immoral lifestyle. They aren’t based on religion, skin tone, or nationality, so they aren’t an official minority. Second, the reason I say that they are pushing their ways onto us are seen in many ways. Like this absurdly ignorant arguement of how they want “equal rights” as any other American. Can you tell me which rights have been taken from them? I have freedom of speech, religion, right to vote, bear arms, etc, don’t they have the same? Since this being true, your point of them wanting equal rights is factually unsound and is nothing more to me than nonsense. They also try to push their agenda by loving in public, doing strange things in public, wierd dress, etc, what about that? Many things that some of them do are against any decency laws written by any state government. Do they really think that they can disobey the law for these purposes and get away with it? The only answer is no. Thirdly, you try to sound patriotic about how many Americans shed their blood so I can live here. I know my husband was wounded twice in Iraq, so I know first hand about an American spilling his blood for freedom, but your statement doesn’t bear merrit. This nation is a Christian nation and such actions by the gays are neither wanted nor will be tolerated in this society. I know that some people except the gays and their lifestyle, but as Christians we do not except their lifestyle as anything but a sin in the eyes of God. I don’t hate the person, just what they do, as God says to do. Tell me what have they done for this country? I mean really done for this country other than be one of the causes for the eroding of our moral foundings and teaching? Please state your facts and sources. Thank you.

Well Sook, what it all boils down to is if you believe your Christian religion, a set of ideals and beliefs that is not scientifically sound or proven such as the existance of God, should have a place in government and in society. You have no problem with pushing your religious beliefs on other people even though they’re only as real as people make them. How ’bout you answer a question for me: Why is it okay for you to tell other people how they should live their lives and what is right and wrong? (Try responding without using God as your crutch.)

          • http://naver sook young

All I said was how I believe and am not pushung my faith on you. The same could be said about you believes which are factually unsound, no sources to back them up, and is nothing but unproven rhetoric from through the years. If you believe differently than I do, so be it. Just remember, there is no separation of church and state here and science has nothing to do with the subject at hand. You want me to quit saying someone is childish? OK, I’ll do that as soon as you and Don start acting like mature adults and not like crazed teenagers! Thank you.

Carl Paladino — a millionaire developer who has acknowledged forwarding racist and sexist emails, who has proposed turning empty prisons into dormitory space for welfare recipients, and whose state party didn’t even want him on the ballot — has won the Republican gubernatorial nomination in New York.
Paladino’s victory over Rick Lazio doesn’t much change Republican prospects in the gubernatorial race, with Democrat Andrew Cuomo expected to cruise to an easy win. But it could prove a drag on Republicans in downballot races in the state and also embarrass the GOP establishment.
In April, Paladino acknowledged forwarding emails including images of bestiality and derogatory characterizations of President Obama, including one offering a video clip of African tribesmen dancing that characterized the video as “Obama Inauguration Rehearsal.”
The Tea-Party backed candidate reportedly sent an e-mail depicting a horse having sex with a woman and another that included a pornographic video and the headline “Miss France 2008 F[***]ing.” He also reportedly sent out an e-mail depicting President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama as a pimp and prostitute and one showing an airplane landing near black men with the caption “Holy Sh*t. run ni**ers, run!”
Paladino also made headlines for saying last month, as the Associated Press reported, that “he would transform some New York prisons into dormitories for welfare recipients, where they could work in state-sponsored jobs, get employment training and take lessons in ‘personal hygiene.’” The program, he said, would be voluntary.
He waded into the debate over the proposed Islamic cultural center two blocks from Ground Zero, going even further than many other Republicans by suggesting he would invoke eminent domain laws to block what he calls a symbol of “conquest.” He believes global warming is a “farce.” He has what one New York tabloid called a “10-year-old love child.” If the state budget is late, he promises to shut down the government. He defended a friend who called New York Assembly speaker Sheldon Silver, an Orthodox Jew, “an Antichrist or a Hitler.”
In endorsing Lazio before the vote, the New York Times said that by nominating him the GOP “could avoid the national embarrassment of a Paladino candidacy.”
The state GOP tried to keep Paladino off the state ballot, but he got enough signatures to force his way on; he was then able to capitalize on voter anger against the Albany establishment to overtake Lazio, a mainstream figure who had been widely-expected to easily win the nomination (and then lose to Cuomo). Paladino’s victory looks like more bad news for a weakening Republican party in New York – and good news for Democrats who now have a potent symbol to feed their preferred narrative that Republicans are too far out of the mainstream for most Americans.
“We are mad as hell,” Paladino said at his victory party Tuesday night, as the New York Times reports. “They say I’m too blunt. Well, I am. And I don’t apologize for it. They say I’m an angry man, and that’s true. We’re all angry.”

This freedom of speech shall not be taken from any American.” Is what you are saying on this site the same or just your own made up version of the 1st Amendment? Thank you.

Hello fellow patriots, I’m back to rejoin the good fight against people like Don and Matt on this site. That’s right you lib, gay loving, baby killing, marxists I’m back and ready for the fight. Are you ready to fight against a bunch of patriots? I was going to wait till Monday when I would be stronger and free of my illness, but I couldn’t stand by and read what these two slimeballs said about my wife, which all they said is nothing but unfounded rhetoric fron the left wing extremist camp. Matt says: “You must be incredibly ignorant if you think gays want to be the opposite sex.” Well, what the heck is their sex? Some of the men act, dress, and flaunt themselves like women. Some of the women are so aggressive in their behavior I would swear that they are men in drag. You ask my wife not to bring the Bible into the conversation, but yet you can use sdientific theries that have already been proven false? Who the h*** are you to try infringing on her rightd you morons? She has earned all her rights through the years and you pieces of crap are nothing but traitors and cowards. They very people we patriots are fighting against. Yes, it is true. Gayism is A SIN IN THE EYES OF GOD and will never change. Don is such a moron, he believes in the myth of “separation of church and state”, well you tell this holder of a BA in History just where it says that? You can’t because it isn’t there. You scream about gay rights and my wife tells you that they haven’t had any rights taken from them, so you call her a liar? Take your crap somewheres else cause we aren’t buying any of the crap you are trying to sell. Matt says: “I’m a heterosexual.” What kind of crap is that? If some moron starts off like that, all we patriots know you are lying your rump ranged butts off. It doesn’t matter what you say, because you two morons are going to get yours in the end, literally. Don’t post anything here if you have no facts or sources to back things up. Your both probably gay and are just here to stir the waters. Just stay home and let us take this country back to the ways of our Christian founding fathers. And no, they weren’t all deists and agnostics, that’s already been proven false. Now you are dealing with a battled hardened 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army, something you two morons were too scared and unpatriotic to do. Let’s keep up the good fight, fellow patriots! Lol I’m not afraid of you; nobody is. You can spew however much bullcrap hate speech as you want and try to sound all patriotic (Lol are you trying to be Braveheart?)by denouncing Gayism but I think you just sound like a zealous biblethumping fanatic. Any human being with a logical thought process would be disgusted by how you use your religion as justification to bash people just because you don’t agree with them. I’m certainly not fazed. I’d like you to see the reaction of the people watching this debate. As soon as conservative Tea Party member Christine O’Donnell totally biffed it when she started talking about the “separation of church and state.” It’s extremely obvious there is a separation, it’s just not explicitly written out word for word in the Constitution. However, the document says that there can be no dominating religion and that all of them are equal, and that is interpreted by the majority *cough* to imply there’s a separation. My point in posting this video is that normal people LAUGHED at how blatantly stupid she was to say there was no separation of church and state.

            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miwSljJAzqg

          • http://naver samurai

Sorry dude, but there is NOTHING in the Constitution that says or hint to separation of church and state. The government cannot make any laws prohibiting the free exercise of religion, nor can it set up a state religion, but if someone talks about the Bible, Christianity, or how they feel, it’s not forcing religious views on someone. It’s obvious to my that you are gay and an atheist. I know people who are atheist and are anti-gay, so what would that make them? My wife’s family has many Buddhists and atheists and they believe it to be not normal, so would you tell them the same thing? I think that as soon as someone (my wife) started talking about how God set things up and refuted your scientific nonsense, you all decided to go into attack mode. You say I don’t scare you? Good! Your little punk butt don’t scare me either. My wife has more education than the 2 of you put together and knows what she is saying, but you 2 punks are just full of the same lib crap that has been going around this posting sites for awhile. Till you get a bronze star, silver star, and 2 purple hearts then you can talk to me about being brave. Just a couple of cowards and traitors to kick out of this country. Not only doesn’t it say a separation of church and state, but our Christian founding fathers never intended to have a separation of God from public life like you lib, gay lovers, baby killer, marxists want for this country. This is a Christian nation, that’s how we were founded and shall be forever more. Even the SCOTUS ruled that this nation is a Christian nation in 1892 Church of the Holy Trinity vs. the U.S. So go sell your load of crap somewhere else, we’re not buying it. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

          • Matt

Lol call me whatever you want but your kind is a dying breed. Look around you, do you really think all your crying and bigotry is meaningful in the politics of this country? Do you really think MOST PEOPLE feel the same way you do, that Gays are evil bloodsucking monsters condemned by God and they are ruining this country and demoralizing it? How old are you, I wonder? I think half the people on this site are atleast McCain-status +. Maybe that’s why you feel you have this huge community that’s exactly like you, the only people you interact with on a daily basis are at the senior center reading their bibles and looking for God in their pampers. You should be in dire fear of the youth of this nation then, because a VAST majority do not think anything like you or your wife do, and they are going to inherit this country and adjust it as they see fit, and the “left” movement is only growing, atleast as far as social policy is concerned. (I’m actually economically and otherwise politically conservative, as are most of my peers.) Just for the sake of stirring the water, here is an unbiased vid clip that makes a good point about many ideals of the upcoming generations.

          • http://naver sook young

My husband and I have watched this video and it is very biased towards the atheists. It denounces eveything about Christianity and atheists have no advantages over the ways we live. You say that these are the ideals of the upcomming generation? Sorry, but you are mistaken. Our 4 children and 3 nieces act differently than in this biased video. They go to church, pray, and live a God-like life. Believe what you want to believe, but we both know the truth. The ways of God and Jesus are the right ways of doing things and the ways of atheism is the ways of going to hades. If you believe differently, fine. We’ll continue to pray for you to find God. Remember, no true God fearing patriot would ever support the gays and their cause. Same rights as we have? No problem. Be treated equally as children of God? No problem. Special rights because they live an immoral and unnatural lifestyle? Never! Like we said before, the Defense of Marriage Act is the law of the land and will not change anytime soon. My husband is always saying that…”We are a nation of laws and do not reward law breakers.” This covers this topic, to some degree, also. I really hope you come back to God and stop not caring about where you go later in life. Thank you.

Gee, you sound like the immoral one. Their lifestyle is against what God had planned and it is just that simple. I don’t really know the person being discussed here, but I do believe that the gay community is one of immoral, unethical, and unchristian living. Committing acts of homosexuality is a sin in God’s eyes and therefore it is an evil act. What about Barney Franks’ boyfriend and what he did? Would you call that moral and/or ethical? I really feel sorry for people like you, Norm. People like you just can’t seem to understand the truth, though it is right in front of your eyes. Our decadent society does not care one bit about anyone’s thoughts, regardless of their morality or the lack thereof. So what’s left for everyone is to mind their on bigotry and nothing else. Politics is, aside from its social impact on genuinely concerned citizens, just another way of living (at the expense of the vast majority of the population) by which a candidate profits from. Most of us only listen to the words we’d like to hear. That axiome alone fattens the grounds for ANY crook to foster their twisted agenda solely aimed towards
political gains and general acceptance among us. Mr. Paladino spoke his mind and for being honest he deserves the credit. He never should’ve apologized though.

  • http://GOGGLE vaksal

Well it seems that this republic is being overtaken by the liberal leftwing outlook that family values mean nothing and gay rights are the main politicaly correct movement in the affairs of this republic,i wonder how can people that run for public office consider themselfs public servants, when in fact, protect those who push this agenda of gay rights over normal couples rights, they are not the same, one creates nothing in human everyday life, while the normal folks raise their chidern, and suffer the hardships of having everything they believed in (THEIR FAMILIES)taken to the level of being compared to those who are so self absorbed in their personal life styles of being entitled,to the same rights of normal married folks, when in fact 95% of this nation is not of their mental outlook of being gay, when in fact it sends the wrong message to young people who are in the first stages of trying to find out who they are, with that alone it is every persons right,to not back those who push this moral outlook on those who dont care for this perverse outlook, and for this alone i feel,mr. Paladino should be supported, because it is the social fabric of this very republic, for normal family people bulit this nation, not gays(THEIR WORLDS ARE ALL ABOUT THEMSELFS AND THEIR DEMANDS)and to hell with what the normal people think, well like they say,ITS A TWO WAY STREET YOU GET WHAT YOU GIVE,in this case, the answer is go back to the closet, people just wont back the gay agenda.

It is also about our founding principles of self reliance, personal responsibility, and the vision to endure that government remains our servants and not our masters. It’s also about our country being founded on solid Christian principles. They are the fabric, bullwork, and very foundation of this country. You say that your parents are Christian and you are agnostic? What happened in your life to make you change from the light side to the dark side? Do not forget that we were set up on Biblical law, taken directly from the old and new testiments, laws based on the 10 Commandments, and Judeo-Christian beliefs.

1892-SCOTUS Church of the Holy Trinity vs. U.S.
Ruling: “This nation is a Christian nation.”

Ben Franklin: God rules the affairs of men.

George Washington: See the wonderous works of Providence. The
        uncertainty of human things. 1775

Webster’s dictionary defines Providence as “the Benevolent guidance of
God or nature. Capital P – this means God. They certainly gave Providence (GOD) credit for the founding of this nation. Sorry matt and don, but your lib rantings, no facts, no sources, nor even your science can compare to this, nor can it discredit what has been part of our history from the very beginning. “God and America”—There is no dissonance in these declarations. There is a universal language pervading them all, having one meaning, they affirm and reaffirm that this is a religious nation. These are not individual sayings, declarations of private persons, they are organic utterances, they speak the voice of the entire people….”This is a Christian nation.” It shall forever be such. And in your overenthusiastic imagining, you want the “True Christian” to fall for the main stream, conventional, twisted teaching the the Moral of Sodom and Gomorrah has to do with hospitality in a harsh desert environment. Homosexual rhetoric and B.S.! Let’s see—one moron bends over and let’s another moron put it where the sun don’t shine, is hospitality in a harsh environment. That’s the left wing extremist, sick, harsh hospitality in any environment you choose! You all are sick and not good patriotic Americans. Vaskal, don’t change and stand firm in your beliefs and convictions. We patriots will win this fight against the forces of liberalism, marxism, and evil in the end. So you want “godly” US politicians to “speak out” against homosexuality and homosexuals. What if you had replaced the word homosexuals with Jews?
I would never vote for any politician who was hostile to gay people and did not want them to have the same rights that every American citizen is supposed to have, and more than I would vote for a neo-nazi for public office.
Why are conservatives so obsessed with what other people do in private? What business is this of theirs? Who appointed them judge, jury and executioner of gay people? (By the way,I’m heterosexual).
Remember, only GOD has the right to judge gay people. As long as they do not harm any one else, they have the right to be left alone.
Paladino is not only an idiot but a bigot.Who needs him as governor?
    Not me.
Furthermore, far more children are molested by heterosexuals than homosexuals. The vast majority of gays are just ordinary people who mind their own business and bother or threaten no one.
They are not a threat to America or any other country, nor have they ever been.
No gay person has ever hurt me or tried to force me to be a homosexual.Yes, there are some bad eggs among homnosexuals, but this is true of ALL groups. The vast majority do not molest children, and the notion that they are evil monsters out to “pervert” children is the sheerest poppycock.
And any one who maintains that there is no such thing as homophobia is an idiot. Homophobia is every bit as real as the racism that has caused the murder of innocent blacks in America or the anti-semitism of Hitler and the Nazis.
Why can’t you self-righteous conservatives learn to mind your won goddam business?

    • http://GOGGLE vaksal

TO;mr.Robert Berger, what you posted is correct, you remember the words you used (PRIVATE)in the first part of your post, yes it is a private matter, not a public one,and as far as bring the word jewish into this matter,it sounds that you are making this subject into a anti-semetic,subject,which it is not,and yes it is not a public matter,(THE GAY AGENDA)so why are the gays, pushing this down everyones throats, like a matter of national urgency, like you said its none of our bussiness,so keep it in the closet, for us simple folks dont want it,as far as judging people youve done a great job of it,in what youve posted, youve shot down your own argument quite well,no more to be said, except i dont buy it,my family is more important than exposing my family to such corruption,no hate, just choice,so live with it.i am passing no judgement, but my trust never will be given to such an agenda, for it is not natural in the order of any civilized nation.unless it has been corrupted by those who govern it.

    • http://naver samurai

Homosexuality is a sin in the eyes of God. What a left wing extremist rant. Even had the guts to include God into his rant, which I’m sure he probably didn’t like too much. You are right about how God is the one who judges us, but he also tells us that their lifestyle is wrong and against the natural order that HE created. You say that its none of our business? Is it our business when our soldiers come home, have a parade in their honor, showing patriotism by waving the American flag, shouting GOD BLESS AMERICA, etc, to have it marred and demeaned by a sickening gay pride parade after it? They have done nothing but brought immorality to the forefront of the MSM! They are disgraces to this country and have done really nothing for it. You say how their rights have been taken from them? Which ones have been taken from them? Which Amendment to the Constitution has been taken from them? NONE!!!!!! Just remember what Augustus Ceasar said: “As goes the family, so goes Rome.” This means that if the family is destroyed and other things allowed to take its place, then the nation will fall, believe me this can happen to America also if we let it happen. Gays will never be an acceptable element of this christian nation. Remember also, “The Defense of Marriage Act”, which says that the U.S. recognizes a marriage as 1 man and 1 woman. It’s the law of the land, so get over it! Keep up the good fight, fellow patriots! FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

P.S. Why do you people keep saying that you are a heterosexual? By the way you rant and rave, we know this to be nothing more than a bald faced lie.

      • Matt

Once again Samurai, you can dismiss the obvious and just settle with the ignorant bliss of your radical Christian beliefs and say everyone else is ruining the nation, but your word is about as true as the flying spaghetti monster himself. In November, my vote will cancel yours out, and I do my very best every day to help the people around me see life for what it really is and understand life is not black and white and that the true light is seen in your actions, not your bigoted words. And no matter what you believe, in no way shape or form will you have any impact on anyone elses’ freedoms, Gay or Straight, and in no way shape or form will a life mean any less or be any more un-American just because you think it is. You can call other peoples’ beliefs Un-American, but the beauty of this country is that they matter just as much as yours and they have a right to voice their opinions as loud as they want. You have a very narrow-minded view of what is American and what it means to be an American. I sure as Hell don’t go to church on Sunday. I volunteer on Sunday morning at a shelter. And help people. Real people. Because, I believe, in this world, people take priortiy of any religious belief because humanity is all that we have. You can think Gays or Liberals have no sense of right and wrong and that they’re out to corrupt this country, but unlike you, I don’t make up my mind about an entire group of people just because of one aspect about them. I realize every human being is unique and that no two Christians or Gays or Conservatives or Liberals is exactly alike, and I interpret them based on their actions and their merit on an individual basis, not as a group, and not because of their private beliefs or what they may do in their private life behind closed doors, since that’s none of my business and it shouldn’t be yours either. I value traits like honesty and integrity and responsibility and honor just as much as any Christian does. As a matter of fact, they may mean even more to me because I don’t need some religious diety to dictate why I do those things, I’m just a good person by my own accord and I make decisions with my own heart. I know you disagree, save your breath. You and your wife have said a lot of things these past few days on this discussion board as I have and I don’t think it’s made any difference. I’m only empowered by what you have to say, and it’s probably the same on your end as well. I know that there’s more work that needs to be done to fight hate out there just because of what I’ve seen here. And I will continue to be involved in my community and work to contibute to the greater good with my American ideals no matter what you or anybody else has to say about it. With that, I conclude my involvement on this forum. Can’t wait for November 2.

Some of the things you say you do (Going to a shelter and helping real people.) is great and I have no arguement there, but how are people going to church not real people? So since many of our founding fathers went to church, they aren’t real people? Could you tell me why that is? You say that the way of our family is a dying breed? The only way that will be if people like you, the left side of the fence, can destroy the Constitution, our founding principles, and practically throw God out of America. Your side has already been trying to push God back into churches, attacked the Constitution, and have tried warping our Christian foundation. Sorry, but your kind, the ignorant ones who care less about our founding and what this great country stands for, are the dying breed. In November we will vote with our conscience. Our faith and beliefs determine who we vote for. If you think this person is better because they hold the same beliefs you do, then you tend to vote for that person. No matter the persons party affiliation, race, religion, etc. As long as this nation, a nation I’m proud to be a citizen of, remains a Christian nation, then what you have talked about will never happen. You say how we don’t understand America? I’ll bet I have more knowledge on the subject and a lot more education than you do. We believe in self reliance, personal responsibility, and smaller government. The gays are trying to force their ways on us. When you always see them marching to get married, taking people to court because they don’t like gays, etc, it tends to sound like they are the ones attacking other people. As my husband has said before, “The Defense of Marriage Act”, signed by President Clinton is the law of the land. What rights have we taken from them? Don’t they have all the rights under the Constitution? Which ones have been taken away? Can you answer these questions? Please don’t use your useless scientific theories to back yourself up with. I have a MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) and I know that it is all unfounded lies and holds no merrit in this conversation. If you can’t answer my questions, then do not post anything. It’ll just be a waste of our time. Remember to give God the glory and thanks for everything you have. Thank you.

      Vote November 2!

  • http://com i41

Put all the muslims and the rump rangers together and in one generation there will be fewer faggots and goat riders. If the queers would quit making such a big fluff. If they didn’t make a scene everytime the oil was too hot, most people wouldn’t have a problem with the s–t birds. Paladino is one brave man to tell the truth, to really put the finishing touch, tell the facts about the muslim goat riders in this country!

The USA has had more than enough screaming and prancing by the faggots, STFU and crawl back in your holes, literally. OORAH!

Let’s see what happens after next month and after November 2012.
          FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

  • James Miller

Thank you Carl for standing up and speaking the truth. If we had more people in public office that spoke the truth, this country would not be in the trouble it is in now, from the President(s) down.
It is writen that in the last days men will call good evil and evil good. Isn’t that what’s happening today???

Sook, your posts are right on the money….you GO GIRL! Stand firm. Those who are dissing the Bible haven’t done their research. Modern translations go back to the original languages to find the exact English equivalant. The Dead Sea Scrolls have been analyized and translated by numerous semantists and compared to the modern translations. With a few differences in punctuation and spelling the modern translations have been found to be exactly the same. In the jewish tradition (dating back thousands of years), those who copy the scripture go so far as to count the number of words and letters from each side of the line copied and compared to the manuscript being copied to insure that the copy is correct.
Archeological finds have over and over proven that the Bible has given true accounts. Of all ancient manuscripts, only the Bible has more scholastic proof of authenticity than any other in history.
Stand firm in Christ and do not be discouraged by those whom Satan has blinded to spiritual things. Jesus is Lord!

Thank you very much! It is always to here from a fellow Christian and patriot. Will you stand with us and help us take this country back starting next month? I also pray for this country everyday to rid us of the tyrants in office now. I’ll even pray for don and matt to see the light, before it is too late. Thank you.

It’s blatantly obvious you’re just trying to insult me and disguise it by making it look like you’re doing me a favor. Don’t pray for me. I don’t need it. Honestly. You don’t know a lick about my life, and my spirit is more than well protected from the wrath of God. Many a Christian I know would chastise you for being so condescending; if you’re really sincere about it, you should have your husband apologize for using such abusive language with me and admit you don’t have a superiority complex just because you’re a faithful Christian, and that it’s not your place to judge me or anybody else, since that is, afterall, God’s reserved right. I’m not well rehearsed in the Bible, but I’m certain it’s in there.

        • http://naver sook young

As far as apollogizing for his language, that is up to him to do and not me. Furthermore, who and what I pray about or for is no ones business but me and God. If you have a problem with that, then you take it up with God. I’m sure he’ll listen to you, because we sure are not. You are right that God is the one to judge us for all we do here on this earth, both good and bad, but how can you just sit there and say that your spirit is protected from the wrath of God? No one is protected from the wrath of God. That’s why I believe in God and Jesus, pray, go to church, read the Bible, and try to live how he says we should. If you believe differently than I do, that’s OK for you. Also, it is also my right as an American to do that. I remember when I took the citizenship test in July, we had questions on the First Amendment. So are you trying to say that I cannot worship or practice my beliefs without any interference? Are you trying to deny me my rights as a Christian and a new proud American? I may not know anything about your life, but we are to pray for others and that’s what I’m going to do. You seem to be pretty knowledgeable with the Bible when it came to defending gays and their rights, so how aren’t you well rehearsed? I hate it when you people take apart the Word of God for your own means, like the gays. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate them as a person, just in what they do. Please try to think about what I’ve told you here. Thank you.

I think Sook needs to realize that all the hate she is spewing is going to get her nowhere. Jesus would be disappointed with all the hate filled Christians in today’s society. I am a Christian but don’t even want to put myself in the same category as those who are self righteous, and feel that their sins are any less than the sin of homosexuality. I read the Bible in Greek text which is more relevant to God’s word than today’s man made Bible where “homosexuality” was somehow thrown in there, although that word did not even exist. Let God do the judging and Love thy neighbor. What happened to those Christians? Good luck on YOUR judgement day.
