Pakistan Floods Serve As A Reminder To Review Preparedness Plans

August 23, 2010 by

Pakistan floods serve as a reminder to review preparedness plans In recent days American and foreign media have widely reported the devastating scenes from the flooded areas of Pakistan. Although South Asia is more prone to these types of disasters, parts of the United States have also occasionally suffered from floods.

In fact, water damage and loss of life are a real possibility in those parts of the country that are at risk of hurricanes, which includes the Southeast region of the U.S. As a result, residents of these areas may be interested in tips that can increase their chances of survival.

Safety experts, such as Robert P. French, director of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, stress the importance of advance preparation. This includes memorizing more than one evacuation route and regular reviews of the family’s emergency evacuation and reunification plan.

Moreover, each household should have an emergency preparedness kit kept within easy reach. It is also important to stack up on non-perishable food items in case help is slow to come. These include ready-to-eat canned meats, fruits and vegetables as well as water in plastic containers.

When a flood warning is issued, all residents should immediately head to higher ground.

Finally, financial security is as important as physical survival, and French recommends locating and protecting important documents as well as checking insurance policies to ensure appropriate coverage. He stresses that it typically takes 30 days for newly purchased policies to become effective.ADNFCR-1961-ID-19926955-ADNFCR

Without trying to sound overly facetious, we don’t need to look at Pakistan for any survival pointers. That is, if the many retards on the other side of the political aisle don’t have any immediate plans for making Pakistan America’s 51st state (58th according to a certain prez), we have had more than enough disasters in the US over the last 50 years to compare notes and then formulate reasonable measures.

A far greater looms ahead, and is coming down the pike fast!!! There might not be anything we can do about it, except be prepared…Please pass this on, so people can be prepared!!

Making God like decisions on who lives and who dies, who goes to FEMA Camps and execution etc. NOT about Healthcare!!…Need to see this!!!!

On the nail, s c–there is no need to learn from a nation which only has as “teaching material”, the wrongest way to respond to a disaster (not learn at all, and then repeat the errors–which is exactly what has happened in the case of Pornistan)!

ATTN: Has anybody ever noticed that before, during, and after the floods in Fargo and Grand Forks, in the mid-west a few years ago, that there was NO LOOTING, NO MURDERS, NO STEALING, NO COMPLAINTS, NO RACIAL CLAIMS,NO INSULTS TO POLITICANS, NO CRIES OF REPUBLICANS CAUSING THE PROBLEM? Well for your info, it didn’t happen! Why then do these things happen in New Orleans, Detroit, New York, Miami, Houston, LA, Seattle, Boston, Pittsburg, etc. etc.? Because of the cry baby liberal democrats that want to control every aspect of your lives. They want to steal your wealth and redistribute it to the lazy, stupid entitlement society that exists in America today. Please vote out all of the liberal democrats out of office. The 3 most important liberals to vote out are from Minnesota: Klobuchar, Franken, Ellingston.

People keep important documents in a bank safety deposit box. 2 years ago there were floods in Cedar Rapids Iowa. The bank was under water. Keep a copy of these documents in your bugout bag, or in another location.

Well, when people build on a flood plain, near rivers, close to the sea, or even a creek, they are going to get themselves wet or even drowned. Katerina, and places where hurricanes or water woes will happen need to wake up and get the hell out of there. New Orleans is how many feet below surface, what a bunch of idoits. . Hopefully people will get tired of higher premiums for idoits that want their water close. Rivers will flood at some time and that is a fact,on the flood plains, turn it in to farm ground and make people live on higher groung, at least 200 ft. higher than than the flood high mark. I can see more book educated theorist creating agency wonks who don’t know s–t what they are talking about or doing, like Omoron.

I urinate on Pakistan. They have lied to us since the beginning about harboring “bil Laden”. Let them handle their own problems and disasters. We have enough as it is with our own disasters and trying to fight off a communist socialist gov’t.

Ever hear of H.A.A.R.P., watch what kind of compliance there will be now.

I saw a news item this morning in a British paper (link on wnd.com) about this flooding. The people there are saying things like, “How can America spend billions on a war next door and not give us billions so we can rebuilt our homes? They MUST give us money or else we won’t support their war!”

Why is it that every people on Earth expect the US to step in to fix anything they screw up due to lack of preparation or just plain stupidity time and again without a word of thanks or reimbursement? Take Katrina, for instance. It was a major disaster in the US. How many other countries tried to help? I don’t remember a single one, but I might be wrong.

how can the gov send tax payers monies to other countries to help them if we dont have jobs here?Just print some more funny money i guess.Every time some marxist socialist country goes down the drain we the tax payers bail them out.Just with the bail outs here where going to be paying for it for next hundred years let alone other countries that never repay there debts.Maybe its just me but dont ya think there might be a reason behind all of this free give away thats been going on for far to long?

Well lets see, Pakastan is another freak muslim country that will go with who ever greases their hands and legs the most. The idea these brown clowns are in favor of the USA, is a farce. Same goes for any black/brown muslims, they have lied time and time again, of course look at Onumnutts and his trying to deny he is a muslim and his 20,000+ lies. I am so damn tired of, not only us taxpaywers getting hosed for taking care of the lazy reared idoits in the USA, but giving billions to prop up the enemies of ours. Didn’t see Russia helping us when we went trough droughts or floods, but the rest of the world of dictators want the USA to send food, shelter, money, and medicine, where is the trade offs, they don’t respect us or appreciate what we send. Why wasn’t the military called in to kill the Taliban, when we sent plane loads of food, medicine, and shelter, and it was gathered and burnt. Could have disposed of several of the goat humpers and female abusers, but our feel good democrat pukes in the State Department don’t want us to be considered mean. Suck it up and tell the diaper heads, to go back to their moon god and see how many people start sucking in air quickly. Between the socialist democrats and the muslim marxist moron,it would be none stop catawalling and wetting their dresses. Don’t live with in a mile of a river or 2 miles from the ocean, your choice, so shut up and stay dry..
