Obama’s State Of Denial

February 14, 2013 by

Hello, I’m Wayne Allyn Root for Personal Liberty. There are a lot of things you can change in life, but you can’t fix stupid. Barack Obama’s speech Tuesday wasn’t a State of the Union. It was a “State of Denial.” It was denial mixed with delusion. It was a state of addiction to spending. It was a modern-day fairy tale in the middle of a Great Depression. It was a “Let’s sing ‘Kum Ba Yah’ and hold hands while we solve the world’s problems with money we don’t have” speech. It was insanity squared.

Here’s how Obama solves problems. In the middle of a Great Depression, he wants to raise the minimum wage by almost $2 per hour. Delusional. Like a “Saturday Night Live” skit.

In the middle of a Great Depression he wants to raise taxes again — only days after he just raised them. In Obama’s world, we raise taxes every few weeks.

In the middle of a Great Depression with our government $100 trillion in debt, he wants to spend money on a long wish list of leftist fairy tales: from early childhood education to infrastructure to green energy to climate change to government employees to redesigning high schools to — get this one — eradicating poverty around the world.

We’re broke with $100 trillion in debt and he’s worried about poverty around the world? One in three Illinois residents lives in poverty. Maybe Obama should worry about his own State before he tackles world poverty. Denial and delusion.

Obama says we’re seeing progress, we’re in recovery, we have jobs, we have “cleared away the rubble of crisis” and we have a “strong state of the union.” I guess he wants you to forget that the 4th quarter gross domestic product was negative. Our economy is actually in contraction. And 11,000 Americans join the food stamp rolls every day. This isn’t a recovery; it’s an economic disaster. Denial and delusion.

Obama said jobs are doing better. I guess that depends on your definition of “better.” According to data from Bloomberg, from December 2011 to January 2013, nonfarm payrolls were down by 587,000. During just the past year of Obama’s “recovery,” we lost more than half a million jobs. Denial and delusion.

With a loss of 587,000 jobs, 8.5 million Americans dropping out of the workforce since Obama became President and the real unemployment number (U-6) at almost 15 percent, did you hear that Obama closed his Jobs Council last week? They hadn’t met in a year. Now that the election is over, he just closed it down. No need to meet at all. Why talk about jobs anymore? Denial and delusion.

But it fits perfectly with Obama’s claim that we can create so many middle-class jobs with wind, solar and other green energy projects. Complete denial of the fact that Spain is the “Green Energy Capital of Europe,” yet its economy has collapsed — with 26 percent unemployment and 56 percent youth unemployment. The proof is in: There are no green jobs. Denial and delusion.

Obama said we sold a lot of cars last year. What he didn’t tell you was your tax money propped up the sales. Federal government purchase of cars was up by more than 70 percent last year. It’s all government. We live in a one-company town. Denial and delusion.

Obama also gloated about the housing recovery. So let’s see, if your home went from $500,000 down to $100,000, but in the past year it soared up to $125,000, Obama gloats and declares victory. But that homeowner is bankrupt, underwater and in foreclosure. That lousy $25,000 increase versus a $400,000 loss during Obama’s first term just isn’t very helpful. Denial and delusion.

And to celebrate a housing recovery while demanding the end to what Obama calls “loopholes” must be some kind of joke on the American people. That “loophole” Obama refers to is our mortgage deduction. He wants to take it away in the middle of a housing collapse already worse than the peak of the Great Depression, thereby overnight causing another housing collapse. We’d all lose 40 percent of the value of our homes overnight if our mortgage deduction was eliminated. Denial and delusion.

But the funniest claim of all was Obama stating that he’s already cut $2.5 trillion from the budget. “We’re halfway home to $4 trillion in cuts” he said. This is Chris Rock funny. Nothing was cut. The fiscal cliff deal just added $4 trillion to the national debt. The few tiny cuts that were made were revealed by the Office of Management and Budget to be money that was never going to be spent anyway. Obama cut nothing. Zero. Zip. Nada.

The man who promised to cut the deficit in half but instead doubled it, who called President George W. Bush a disgrace and “unpatriotic” for adding $4 trillion to the national debt in eight years but who added $6 trillion himself in only four years… that same guy says “we’re halfway home” to solving our debt problem. Denial and delusion.

The same man who thinks the sequestration that cuts only $85 billion out of a $3.5 trillion budget is “harsh, devastating and reckless”… that man claims he’s going to solve our debt problem? He thinks more debt spent on green energy and early childhood education will get us “halfway home”? Denial and delusion.

Hell of a plan. But when you raise the minimum raise for millions of employees, the businesses they work for raise prices for the rest of us. Picture Wal-Mart, Target and every other retailer in America raising prices by 15 percent in the middle of a Great Depression to pay for Obama’s minimum wage increase. Then watch this Obama economy continue its death spiral.

Obama’s State of the Union was a “State of Denial” proving that you can change a lot of things in this world, but you can’t fix stupid.

I’m Wayne Allyn Root for PersonalLiberty.com. See you next week. Same time, same place. God Bless America.

    Mr Root, obama is not delusional. He knows exactly what he is saying. Telling deliberate lies is not delusional it is bald faced lying.

    • willie lee

      Absolutely right. He has no interest in making sense. He’s Nero waiting for Rome to burn. He’s just throwing more trash into the burn pile, farting on it and ready to light a match.

        Unfortunately, you are exactly right.

        Obama is a puppet carrying out orders from those who decided on 24 Oct 1945 to abolish national governments and establish a one-world government that would rule, rather than serve, the public.

        Why? The instinct of survival in world leaders confronting the reality of nuclear energy that vaporized Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 and 9 Aug 1945 and might consume all life on planet Earth if nationalism continued.

        Here’s the rest of the story of the enslavement of mankind:

        People will think this is just piss-poor fiscal and foreign policy management, but it falls right on target when one views it from the perspective of globalists trying to eviscerate the wealth of this country before overrunning it with foreign troops while everyone is in a state of organizational chaos.

        The man isn’t even a traitor, because I believe you have to be a citizen before being convicted of treason. Why so many members of Congress stayed silent on this is beyond me. Either their families were threatened, they were a part of this corrupt problem, or they were asleep at the switch.

      And while the delusional debate about everything BUT the debt and growing the economy without making more Government debt goes on and on the REAL Time BOMB is ticking …… Are Russia And China Hoarding Gold Because They Plan To Kill The Petrodollar?

        The dollar has committed suicide and the Russians and Chinese are just moving away before the decomposing corpse becomes a danger to their health.

          I just Joined the NRA this Morning because I watched Joe Scarborough insult Mr. Lapierre this Morning on his show and it inspired me to support Lapierre’s right to debate as I felt Mr. Scarborough wants to silence and isolate the conservatives by claiming the debate as radical instead of allowing a vigorous debate about how we secure our individual life and property if a Currency war breaks out when there is lots of proof that this could happen causing a collapse in the US economy from Massive inflation .

      • Flashy

        Whew…another gold nut who hasn’t done the math.

        Tony…just how much gold do you think there is? Do the math. you will see that having a gold based monetary policy is…well…kinda impossible without destroying a country’s economic and industrial base.

      • tony newbill

        Flashy thats Not what the story is about , its about Russia and China working together to rally the BRIC nations away from using the dollar as their settlement currency and having to buy tersuries to do so that afford the USA its cheaper access to world products like oil that as this breaks out will see you paying 8 bucks a gallon for gas

      Even the New York Times is calling the G-7 Solution CRAZY and a further delusional solution that will accelerate the Collapse of the USA !!!!!!! http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/14/opinion/preventing-a-currency-war.html?nl=todaysheadlines&emc=edit_th_20130214&_r=0

      • Kinetic1

        Tony,
        This is an op-ed piece. Op-eds are not the same as a regular article and often reflect an opinion that is not in keeping with the general tone of the paper. In other words, the fact that this piece showed up in the NYT means very little. This same piece could have been printed in the Wall Street Journal, the L.A. Times, the Washington Times or the Washington Post. It’s just one man’s opinion.

        • tony newbill

          doesn’t wars such as currency wars break out because of a difference of opinion over whatever the issues are about ?
          like a difference of opinion in the valuation of nations currencies … it sure could be and the way Paul Krugman says we have NO Debt Problem is one Mans Opinion that is a Leading Economist for the NYTIMES !!!!!!

    • Harper

      Dennis you are EXactly correct…the US is in very serious trouble…

    • Ron r

      Mr.Root the president is not delusional, you are. Amazing you have all the answers yet no one listens to you. I would think you and other riech wingers would at least run for some office so that you could be at tip of the spear in your fight for truth justice and the reich way of life.

      • sickofidiots

        I see a Lefty Loon. Attack the speaker and not the reality. The “so’s your old man” typical response from the brain dead morons and ghouls. Truth hurts, doesn’t it? Nitwit.

      • Chocopot

        Ron -

        Obviously you did not read the article, listen to the fraud in the White House, or take a good look at the reality of what is happening to this country. Until you do, you should not comment about the fact that others have already done so.

      • Steve E

        Ron, the president may not be delusional, but he knows that there are people like you out there who are delusional, and will believe anything he says.

      • John

        Ronny, I know reality hurts, but Root is right. The only good thing about this screwed up country is the fact that the inflation will collapse the economy before your people can complete the socialist dictatorship they’ve longed for so many years. Also I’m prepared and I know your kind are not. Enjoy your slavery!

      • jdangiel

        Grow up.

      • Bill

        Ron r is just a mind numbed robot following the other lemmings off the clif. He only knows juvenile name calling instead of intelligent argument. He is probably very young and has no experience in life.

        Just ignore him, he is a good example of the dumbing down of America

    “Hell of a plan. But when you raise the minimum raise for millions of employees, the businesses they work for raise prices for the rest of us.”

    That is exactly right. I spent most of my working time in retail. Every time the minimum wage went up a part of my job was seeing that the prices in my area of responsibility were raised to offset the increased cost of business the wage increase caused.

    • Flashy

      Flunked Econ 101 in college did you?

      • zenman

        Not much of a History student,are you Flashy?

      • George E

        Flashy,

        Businesses are going to try to push these cost increases off on someone else if they can. Their first choice, if customers will allow it, will probably be to raise prices. If they can’t do that, they’ll look for places in their operation to cut costs. That may result in some employees getting laid off or hours cut. That’s from my economics 101 class. What did you learn in your class?

      • Steph

        Wait failed ECO 101 in college? Where do you think this increase in minimum wage comes from. Sure as hell not the business man or corporation. It will come from the consumer as all costs will go up to pay for this increase.

      • Bill

        So, Flashy,
        Tell us about your economic background and let’s hear your interpretation of how Obamas economic policies will grow the economy.

        You are quick to criticize but short on offering solutions. You claim to be so smart, now show us what you got

      • Flashy

        Bill..No time right now, but i’ll get to it later today. I have to laugh when you say I offer no solutions. Laughable. The only ones who offer any solutions or give in-depth analysis are the Moderates who visit this board.

      • Vicki

        Here is why WalMart likes minimum wage laws. This was not taught in the Econ classes flashy apparently remembers.

        “Walmart discovered a way of using government regulation as a competitive weapon. This is often the motivation for business support of regulation. In the case of Walmart, it was already paying its employees well over the current minimum wage. At the time, some sources thought that the minimum wage could be raised as much as 50 percent and not cause Walmart any additional cost — its employees already made that much.

        But its competitors didn’t pay wages that high. If the minimum wage rose very much, these competitors to Walmart would be forced to increase their wages. Their costs would rise. Their ability to compete with Walmart would be harmed.

        In short, Walmart supported government regulation as a way to impose higher costs on its competitors. ”

    • tony newbill

      And once that starts to stall economic growth this is what happens and Obama is BEGGING for this to happen here so he can Inject himself into the economy as the savior yet again with nationalization of the economy .
      GET READY Folks cause it will happen as this nation pulls away from the dollar as their settlement currency , the last piece of the Consolidation by China to create the basis for the yuan as a alternative settlement currency to the dollar that makes Obama have to nationalize the US Economy !!!! Argentina freezes prices to break inflation spiral

        Yeah, that is the plan. Complete take over of all aspects of life here in good old USA. I find it refreshing that all these low I.Q. SOB’s want to tell me what I can and cannot do with my life and my money. Fortunately for all of us Hell is coming for breakfast!

  • JON

    No one could ever say anything positive about President Obama if their small-minded life depended on it!

    • Steph

      If you could find something positive then I’d be the first to say it but you won’t. If he wants to do something good FIRE 2/3 of the government that is not needed and only sucking up hard earned tax dollars.

    • Ranchman

      You just made his comment “denial & delusion” come true. If you think for one minute that Obama has done ANYTHING positive for this country, [comment has been edited]

      • Flashy

        ranchman…I take it you have a ranch 9or is that a delusional wish?). For kicks, what part ofthe country are you? We’ll list the federal benefits you receive, then you can go on how everything else should be hacked and slashed but not yours…

      • Vicki

        Ranchman writes:
        “If you think for one minute that Obama has done ANYTHING positive for this country,….”

        He has woken up millions to the danger of oppressive big government. That would be a positive.

      JON,

      Just keep blindly following the Islamic Pied Piper of Marxism…..don’t bother thinking on your own…..you are absolutely a good ‘useful idiot’ for the regime.

      I can say something good about Obama. He’s done a great job to cover up Fast and Furious and Benghazi. And he also has a great ability to fool stupid people. Not too many people can do that.

    • Howard Roark

      I can say something positive. He has done a hell of a job in covering up the fact that he is a fraud and is not in any way qualified to be in the office of the presidency. he was not born a natural born citizen, he is not a natural born citizen today and he will never be a natural born citizen. by the way what social security number is he using this week.

      • Bill

        Obama also has a great BS story. He is only a street hustler

    • Freedom

      We voted our president because he was a new flavor who could print his own birth certifdicate for the occasion, have somebody else write his term papers so he could graduate from stupid school.
      One world government, haven’t I read that somewhere before, I think the King James Version, along with one monetary system (euro dollar?). This country started out as a Republic (peole control the government through a voting process), now wwe seem to be a Democracy (people vote other people into a position to control the people), what happened? Let’s take away the 2d Ammendment , all the assault weapons & give us Bubble Guns to protect our selves. Who made our military the police force of the world when we can’t even protect our own country from terrorists? Raise the minimum wage by 2 dollars so the retail price on comdemns go and I won’t even be able to protect myself while I am being screwed. Our president in action. Don’t forget the government doesn’t want any organized crime because they can’t stand the competition.

  • KG

    So, what do we do? Just continue to let rich people and oil corporatons continue their assualt on working people?
    It is good that oil companies pay for the healthcare of people in Qutar, but not in America?
    Minimum wage is an indicator of inflation more than anything. It’s allways been about a pack of cigarettes. A pack of cigs in New York cost about $12 a pack.
    Adjusted for inflation, real wages have hardly budged since 1979.
    What kind of job does your child want? A good paying one. Let’s hope he can find one to help pay for your Social Security.

    I can see Wane pushing his grandmother over the clif while wearing his powdered wig and breeches and shouting “I’m free!”

    • Bandofotters

      You measure inflation via a heavily taxed product? Factor out those taxes and lower the minimum wage to $2.00. I see you are buying the lies about big business and the rich. Have you ever heard of wealth creation, comparative analysis using, in part, ROI?

    • Patriot1776

      What we do is shrink government, reduce government regulations, reduce taxes on working people and get the economy moving. We let the free market do what it has done for America in the past and create real jobs in manufacturing that have real benefits. Raising the minimum wage reduces the number of minimum wage jobs, increasing unemployment and increasing costs to those of us who work for our paychecks. That takes away from spendable income and shrinks the economy. Government isn’t the answer, it never has been, never will be.

      Yes, in capitalism some entrepreneurs who take personal risk and invest their time and energy achieve financial gains. In the process they lift up the economy, generate better paying jobs and help everyone. There has to be a reward for taking risk or no one will take it and we become stagnated.

      • Flashy

        Patriot..if that were the GOP line, I’d be concerned if I were a Democrat office holder. Now…let’s ask why that is not the GOP line. What would you cut spending on? Specifically…

        What would be the effects economically and social?

        And what industry would you reduce regulations on and what area of regulatory oversight?

        Easy to talk smack. Will you back it up with specifics and the outcome if those specifics came into being?

      • Patriot1776

        By putting Americans back to work in real jobs with real benefits, you reduce the number dependent on welfare. The EPA needs to be reigned in. Their attack on the coal industry has shut down coal fired power plants, eliminating thousands of good paying jobs in the power and coal industries. The financial and social implications, lower electricity costs for middle class families, increased job opportunities, less un-employed, less welfare, higher standard of living for all…just one example of one specific.

      • Bill

        Patriot,
        Very well said. We can judge how true your comments are by how many of the progressives get their panties in a twist over it

      • Flashy

        A quick comment patriot..i can’t get in depth right now though…apologies. You do realize the state of the coal industry has more to do with the price and supply of natural gas than any other item…right? The new plants being built are all based on natural gas …. more efficient, cleaner, cheaper, and utilizes less land (no need for bunkers).

        The EPA regs have little to do with the state of coal today. Though the extremists and the GOP would have you believe the Lie that it’s all about the regs …

      • Lyndia

        I enjoy reading your posts for the most part…you seem to have “common sense” and a logical mind!! I agree that there is far too much government involved in our daily lives and that is where the citizens of this country must begin to cut away on the “pork”!! I was raised by very common sense people who drummed into our heads that great leaders “lead by example”!!! In other words, our so called “leaders” in Washington should be the first ones to step forward and not receive a “paycheck” until their work is completed, cut their vacations, their fancy parties and lavish spending on travel and trying to impress the rest of the world who; are no doubt laughing their heads off over the ineptitude of our current leadership!!
        When the people of this country see that our leadership is willing to “sacrifice”, they would be much more willing to do the same!!
        I see people complaining about the “evil rich” and wanting them to pay higher taxes…..what they don’t seem to realize is that a good part of those “evil rich” donate millions and millions of dollars each year to help the less fortunate in this country. It’s money that actually goes to help those people rather then putting it into the hands of a spend-thrift government that would waste it on more pork!! People seem to need to blame the rich for being rich; they blame the rich for their problems and feel that they should be punished for being rich by taking away that money until the rich are on the same level as the poor! They need to stop and think about what they are asking for…it’s not a pretty picture!!
        The high income brackets are usually the bigger employers who make more jobs for the lower income…. if they are over taxed, they will simply move their businesses somewhere else which means that those jobs would go overseas and there would be less jobs for our people here!! They might start by laying off employees and/or raising prices on their products but either way it will cost jobs, income, and accomplish Obama’s objective which is to bring this country to it’s knees!!

    • zenman

      Wow. What a bunch of crap you just spewed out for the rest of us to waste our time reading!

      • stanli richardso

        Talk about class, you my friend are part of the problem, disrespectful and stupid. You must be getting a large check from the little commie

      • Vicki

        And you (zenman) sat there and read it. What does that say about you?

    • Steph

      And why does a pack of smokes in NY cost $12 a pack? Maybe more over taxation to pay for more government involvement, which is what King Obama is after. Government to control every fact of our lives because we are to stupid to take care of ourselves. Well I guess there may be some truth in the general populace being stupid, they voted the bozo back in.

    • Poor tax payer

      KG you are the problem. Reasonable, intellegent, people realize that corporations do not pay taxes. Really! Oh, corporations pay taxes, but those taxes are paid by their customers. It is truly amazing that progressive, liberal, democrats cannot grasp this simple fact. Don’t take my word for it. If you know any business owner ask them. Do they just cut their personal pay to pay the taxes or do they raise prices? Raising the minumim wage does nothing but make progressives FEEL better, but it is one element leading to inflation.

      • Vicki

        Poor tax payer writes:
        “It is truly amazing that progressive, liberal, democrats cannot grasp this simple fact.”

        It took a week of (sometimes heated) discussion with a co- worker to get me to see that simple fact. It is part of what showed me how brainwashed I was. That is why it is so hard for anyone who has never run a business to see simple facts like who REALLY pays the business taxes.

        - Poor tax payer: “Raising the minumim wage does nothing but make progressives FEEL better,…”

        It has at least ONE significant effect beyond making progressives feel better. It helps the big business progressives claim to hate.

        “Walmart discovered a way of using government regulation as a competitive weapon. This is often the motivation for business support of regulation. In the case of Walmart, it was already paying its employees well over the current minimum wage. • John

      KG,, it was a bunch of non-classical liberals who passed all the no smoking, and taxes on cigarettes. You don’t believe the 12 dollars goes to the tobacco company? Your government, all the wonderful do-gooders you voted for, caused cigarettes to go from 25 cents a pack to 12 dollars a pack. Just shut up and smoke your legalized marijuana instead. Enjoy your slavery! You brought it upon all of us.

    • Bill

      KG,
      You obviously do not know what causes inflation and you are just showing us your ignorance. Inflation is caused by the size of government. The bigger it gets, the more the inflation.

      • Vicki

        The actual cause of inflation is the money supply. Supply/demand affects EVERYTHING. Including whatever is used for “money”. The Federal Reserve QEi(nfinity) guarantees inflation is coming (here actually. Check out the rise in prices for milk and bread.)

    Long ago became exhausted with commentary that president Davis is in denial – or any other state of confusion. The guy is following a distinct, planned agenda of the Marxist kind. He was trained for the job.

  • Warrior

    I would like to know what “fair shot” means? Similiar to how things “work” in ILL, would it mean that you do not have to be “connected” to land one of those “sweet” patronage jobs? Also, I have posted over the last few days asking “certain individuals” if they are paying their “fair share”. The only individual who has answered honestly is GALT, claiming he apparently avoids paying as little “share” as possible.

    So, if one of you “progressives” would be so kind as to explain to an “illiterate” conservative exactly what “o’goofus” means by “fair shot” and “fair share”, I would be “much” obliged!

    • Bill

      Hi Warrior
      Fair share means give me your money so I can piss it away on anything I want. It is kind of like the stimulis package. 700 billion was pissed away with nothing to show for it. It was a good scam and people are stupid enough to fall for it again.

      It is just like Lucy and the football

      • Vicki

        We have a good idea of the meaning of “fair share” Look at the amount of income you are expected to give in taxes. 35%, 39% and that is just Federal Income tax. Add state and other taxes and fees you will find that the reason so many are poor is because they can not afford the taxes necessary to be rich.

  • Jim3031

    Not so much a state of denial as just a state of LYING!! The liar in chief just keeps on going and his zombies just keep soaking it up.

    • Patriot

      Correct Jim, until the internet came about, I would never have believed how many stupid or uniformed people there are in the USA. When the public sector grows by over $1 trillion every year the only conclusion is that both parties are complicate, working together to keep the masses from rioting in the streets and mass inflation has to happen. It is an economic certainty! Be prepared!

  • Schnable

    The shame of it all is that he was reelected to office by 60 million stupid voters who are supporting their own demise. Make no mistake, the USA is headed towards total collapse. The crash could have been prevented by steel fisted management of our out of control spending and rapidly growing health care debacle. However, Obama chose to bribe his way into a second term with more welfare and amnesty for 11 million illegals. Rather than fight this take over, millions of Republicans did NOT vote!

    • John R. Howell

      Dear Mr. Schnable,
      The reason that so many Republicans did not vote is because they really did not have a choice. It was either the savage hybrid communist/Nazi Obummer, or the weak yellow-belly Romney. And we still have in Congress a weak bunch of yellow-bellied Republicans
      led by yellow-bellied and stupid Boehner. This country is LOST. John R. Howell

      • George E

        John,

        When it comes to voting, everyone has to decide for themselves. However, If I don’t want to vote for a “RINO” because he/she may be a yellow-bellied, weak-kneed candidate, I can vote against a “Marxist” revolutionary without hesitation. Even though I’d prefer a good principled conservative candidate, I know that any RINO is still better than a Marxist, so I will go to the polls and vote for the RINO as the best of two poor choices.

      • Vicki

        George E says:
        “I know that any RINO is still better than a Marxist, so I will go to the polls and vote for the RINO as the best of two poor choices.”

        So we have the choice. Slow RINO path to socialism, or faster Marxist path to socialism. Why do you think slow death of this once great nation is the best of 2 poor choices?

        At least with obama the Socialists will get excited and perhaps “boil the frog” too quickly. Judging from the purchase of firearms of late that may be what happened. The frog may live but will be badly burned.

        • George E

          Vicki,

          People appear to be so star struck with Obama that they can’t see what’s really happening to our country and refuse to hold him responsible. We are definitely headed to some really bad times ahead if we don’t stop the direction we’re going in right now. The financial disaster that’s coming our way real soon is going to be really tough on average Americans (especially the bottom 90%), so I think if we can delay it longer so that more people can see it coming many might avoid the worst of this disaster. So, for that reason alone, I would rather slow the train down than speed it up, like Obama’s doing, even if it ends up at the same place. However, I agree with you that shocking American’s into reality is an effective tactic, but will be very, very painful even for those who still have a place to live and food to eat, just having to watch the others suffer. Also, Obama is adding so many executive orders and new regulations, that it will be really hard removing all of them down the road. I’d rather not have to deal with all of that in the first place if possible. Hopefully, most Republicans will not be nearly as bad as Obama in this regard. Then there’s the culture issue. Democrats have adopted every perverted issue that they can to wreck havoc on traditional American culture. I’d really like to put the brakes on that as well.

        • George E

          Vicki,

          Also, if pain was all it took to change things for the better, you’d expect the people in Cuba and North Korea, just to name a couple, would throw out their political leaders and adopt capitalism, wouldn’t you? So pain by itself just might not get the job done. Your best shot right now might be to get Rand Paul elected President next time, but that depends on getting a majority of conservatives to back him, and as you know, it’s not easy to get a large majority of conservatives to back anything……….which is why the liberals are having their way over us now.

          • kimo3690

            WELL SAID GEORGE!!!!! BRAVO!!!

      • Don 2

        George E,

        Speaking of Cuba, did you see where Raul Castro is firing 500,000 government workers and reducing restrictions on private enterprise in Cuba. Castro admitted that socialism doesn’t work. For you liberal trolls out there, you can even find this information on one of your own beloved sites, the Huffington-Puffington Post.

        You would think Obama would take the hint, but unfortunately for America, he is an admitted revolutionary Marxist, well versed in ‘Political Islam’ through his studies under Dr. Edward Said (Professor of Terror) at Columbia U., and Obama has a different fate in mind for us.

    • John

      HE didn’t win the election. As usual voter fraud won it for him. In that he has culpability.

      • Vicki

        And your evidence is?

He’s gone from no taxing to taxing everyone, to new revenues (tax the job creators), to investments (partner with the job creators and steel the money), always someone else’s DIME (to the tune of 17 Trillion in Debt), uh! Who the hell want’s to partner with the government? It’s the worst run corporation on the planet! If you haven’t herd the great big sucking sound coming from Washington, this government, then you are deaf and dumb i.e. a government zombie! RIGHT ON Styxx…….. YOU speak the truth!!!

  • Dave67

    Mr Root is just another delusional Right wing goofball.

    Obama says we need to work together to invest in this country (correct)

    Obama says we need a mix of spending cuts and taxes (on the wealthy) (correct)

    Shrinking the size of gov, does not fix the problem, deregulation helped get us into trouble in the first place. The dumb policies of reagan’s tax cut and spend “voo-doo” economics also helped screw this country.

    We need to shrink the military (350B a year instead of 700B)
    Make changes in Medicare/Medicad to get us passed the BB generation
    End corp welfare
    Stop big money in the political process.

    Its funny to hear the right wing parrots go… its almost like the last 40 years never happened to this country…

    • Warrior

      And are you going to pay your “fair share” today?

      • Dave67

        I do and I am happy to do it because unlike the right wing loons and the corporatists, I care about the country.

        We got to 16T in debt thanks to Reaganomics for the past 30 years. Reagan tripled our debt, Bush 1 doubled it, Bush 2 doubled it again with a war that HE started.

        What happens when you sell out good paying jobs to outsourcing? (You lose tax revenue and the middle class/poor lose economic power to buy the goods and service)

        If you look at what has happened since we were inflicted with Reagan, Worker productivity has risen but middle class and poor wages have stagnated. So now the wealthy have all the money and the engine of the economy( the middle class and poor) are able to buy less and less unless you account for credit cards that are so pervasive now thanks to credit deregulation. How did that work out?

        Obama is right to reform education and give incentives for better education. We have to invest in this country its just too bad we can’t come together to get done. The GOP/Tea party nuts are only good at saying no to this while we are spending monmey of garbage like 300 more M1A battletanks the US Army does not want or need. But you don’t hear about the demand to cut defense from idiots like Mr Root.

        Divide, Divide Divide is all the right wingers know because its what they are instucted to do.

      • Vicki

        Dave67 says:
        “I do and I am happy to do it because unlike the right wing loons and the corporatists, I care about the country.”

        And one wonders what YOUR fair share might be. .1%, 1%, 10%. Gross income, net income, gross profit, net profit. So many fun choices for “fair”.

        - Dave67: ‘We got to 16T in debt thanks to Reaganomics for the past 30 years”

        We got 16T in debt because we don’t balance the budget EVERY year. Because we borrow way to much and we spend way to much.

        Lets make the rich pay their “fair” share and see if we have a fair sharing problem or a SPENDING problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=661pi6K-8WQ

    “There are a lot of things you can change in life, but you can’t fix stupid.” <— Wyne Allen Root
    "Romney will win in a landslide" <– Wayne Allen Root (May and October 2012)

    The change in total nonfarm payroll employment for November was revised from +161,000 to +247,000, and the change for December was revised from +155,000 to +196,000. Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 157,000 in January. In 2012, employment growth averaged 181,000 per month. <— Bureau of Labor Statistics

    Well now Mr. Root, care to share just what Bloomberg article or source you garnered your 'facts" from? Here is the economics article Blomberg issued in January 2013. Golly gee…have it right here at my fingertips as a bennie from the subscription…."Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 200,000 in December. Over the past 12 months, nonfarm payroll employment has risen by 1.6 million. Employment in the private sector rose by 212,000 in December and by 1.9 million over the year. Government employment changed little over the month but fell by 280,000 over the year. "

    Mr. Root, you are against any raise in minimum wage eh? The federal government mandates a nationwide minimum wage level of $7.25 per hour, while some states and municipalities have set minimum wage levels higher than the federal level. It was raised to $7.25 in 2009. The 2009 increase was the last of three steps of the Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007 (NOTE: This administration did not raise it in 2009. The GOP raised it during the Great Welfare for the Wealthy state they created during the 00's).

    Does it apply across the board? Hmmm…seeing as 9 states have state minimum wages lower than the federal rate there goes that bucket of water out the door. Wait…this gets better…with the extremists constantly screaming about the dollar becoming less and less in value, what do they now protest? Increasing the wages of the working poor as .. in their words..the value of the dollar is less.
    =Increase income of the working poor, the class that will spend it and increase demand for consumer goods and give economic boost
    =Adds to the taxpayer roles as income rises above the lowest tax tier
    =increases tax revenue and lowers the deficit spending
    =a top of the line write off to business esing the hit (and offset even more by the increased economic activity)
    =decreases the demand upon government social services cutting the spending as caseloads decrease

    Hmmm..only a wacked out extremist would say any of those above are bad. Yes, there are negative economic effects. Weigh it out though, and the increase in wage outweigh the negative.

    The mortgage deduction? Ummm..where did this one come from? We must have listened to a different SOTU speech. The only one pushing for that elimination is the Repubican Gov. of Kansas. A Tea Party darling.

    Let's continue. Adding to the deficit. With federal spending FLAT LINED during his administration…and the deficit budget inherited from the GOP, explain again just how President Obama has added to the deficit? Federal spending flat, federal government employment down. The deficit spending budget was inherited. yes, President Obama in the face of the Great Recession (saving us from a Depression), has not cut into the deficits…but Mr. Root, you claim he ADDED.

    Mr. Root, you are correct in "you can't fix stupid". Anyone who would give an ounce of credence to your spiel can't be fixed. I agree in that.

    • Hedgehog

      Flashy, in this case I must disagree with both you and Mr. Root. You can fix stupid! Simply administer a 158 grain pain reliever intracranially. This solves stupid permanently with one application and cures a number of greater and lesser ills at the same time. Oh, and as an aside, and more in sync with the topic; the surest way of ruining the economy of any country is to have government involved in setting wages and prices. Government is poorly organized crime. It does not understand economics, nor does it know how to steal painlessly and effectively. A good parasite does not kill its host!

      • Vicki

        Hedgehog writes:
        “the surest way of ruining the economy of any country is to have government involved in setting wages and prices.”

        Just look into what happened in the 1970′s when government instituted price controls. Wage controls have been around (that minimum wage thing) for quite a while.

        I don’t know enough about the 1930′s other than the government convincing people that the President had the authority to make them give all their gold to government.

People will be laid off! The full implementing of the Ryan Plan will cost up to a million LOST jobs! MORE UNEMPLOYMENT! MORE UNEMPLOYMENT CHECKS! MORE FAMILY CRISIS! BUT, BY GOD, WE HAVE CUT THE BUDGET!!!!! ALONG WITH OUR THROATS!!!!
    ” People can’t live on minimum wage!” Means they need more money to live so we PAY them more money! What do they do with the “more money”? THEY SPEND IT!! WHAT STIMULATES THE ECONOMY FASTEST??PEOPLE SPENDING MONEY TO BUY GOODS AND SERVICES!
    Social Security payments have been the longest running and biggest stimulus to small town local economies. In our recent history! What per cent of social security payments are SPENT back into the economy within the 30 days until the next check?? 95 to 99%!
    Stop those GOVERNMENT checks and watch the small businesses start closing down!!

    • Warrior

      Ah, excuse me. The point is to make “small” business go out of business. “Big Corp’s” are a whole lot easier to “control”. Oh, and they make great “investment” partners too!

    • http://wildeyguns.com The Christian American

      What happens when the minimum wage is raised? Why employers pass it on with higher prices of course. Higher prices / less consumer / less jobs / more imports. Obama knows that, just like a numbers presidents before him did.Governments not the solution to our problems, governments the cause of our problems

      • Vicki

        And this is why big business supports minimum wage increases.

        http://www.redstate.com/bobweeks/2011/07/05/regulation-supports-business-not-capitalism-and-free-markets/

        • Nick Czudy

          Vickie. that is an interesting concept. One wonders what goes on in the corporate boardrooms of Wallmart. Can it be true that they would have made those types of decisions. I know that they keep their prices low from buying in China and keeping making factories give them the best prices, until they bankrupt the company. In 10 years, China will not have the competitive edge as they are demanding more wages and there are more strikes that the government is giving in to. So in another decade, it will move from China to some other third world country. More industry will move back to the USA.

          I heard some economists state that raising the minimum wage would be a stimulus in the way that people working for minimum wage will spend all of it and circulate it in the economy. (No Cayman banks) They will pay bills and spend it. this might reduce the amount of government support as well, and cut these entitlements as well. It made sense in that argument. I have seen the graphs and do believe that business has had record profits and are sitting on a lot of cash. They just need to see some direction in the government before they make an investment and expand.

            One of the things that happens when labor costs rise is that businesses spend more money on capital investments, like robotics so they won’t need as many people. This isn’t all bad, but it does happen. So anyone who thinks forcing companies to increase their rate of pay (wages) doesn’t have some negative consequences for the workers, just doesn’t understand economics.

      • Dave67

        Tony,

        A few differences…

        Obama did not ignore the warning of 9-11 and allow over 3000 American to die

        Obama did not use 9/11 as a political tool to invade and occupy another country to the tune of 3T dollars once the final numbers are tallied

        Obama did not put in tax cuts we could not afford while two wars were happending

        Obama did not have a criminal VP that outed a CIA agent and try and for the CIA to give them the Iraq smoking gun even though it was a lie.

        Obama did not put in a religious litmus test in over at the DOJ.

        Obama did not seriously bungle two wars and a natural disaster.

        As I said, a few differences

      • tony newbill

        When you do the math on those tax cuts it would not have added up to the 17 trillion in debt we have today plus done anything to deal with a failing GDP that both Bush and Obama have done nothing but helped the Multi national Corps exasperate in collapsing the US economy , watch this Video and see , http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=CiIaPhvHa-w

      • Dave67

        Tony,

        Do you think the infrastructure differences between NJ/NY/CN and AL/MS/LA might figure into why Sandy is taking some time? Have you been to both areas? I have… Obama is infinately more competant here that that idiot Bush ever was.

        Iraq, Them having ANY WMD’s is irrelevant and a false premise to invading and occupying that country. Your boy Bush used 9/11 to satisfy his daddy issues and made sure that military families were the only onces that sacrificed for war of want. Typical right wing chickenhawks. Is 3T dollars worth giving Iran more power? Heck no!

        The debt, look at our debt history, Reagan and his policies caused the spikes that we are living with today. We like our tax cuts and spending… we are living with the results of that nonsense.

        The right’s problem is that they can’t get past their ideology in anything. Even when their ideology has a great part in getting us where we are.

        From you Tony,

        Its just another link that your conservative bubble told you was awful.

        That link means nothing and BTW nice change of topic when you lose.

      • Don 2

        Dave67,

        I hate to burst your little bubble; you’re good for laughs and entertainment value, but I don’t see where you have changed the mind of a single Conservative.

      • Dave67

        Don 2, you are correct, for most of you… you can’t get out of the conservative bubble… new informations, facts come to light… you just ignore them if it is not consistant with the narrative that people like Mr Root tries so hard (and fails) to put forth.

        But keep thinking your are in step with the majority… your butts will just get spanked in the next election as well until the GOP becomes the 3rd party extremist party they want to be.

      Not only did I vote for him I sent him $1000.00 to help in his reelection. Best money I ever spent.

          Mike supports a ideology thats rooted in the thinking that earth has peaked in human carrying capacity and that the time has come to end individual prosperity and the capital system to zero growth and save earth from the destruction of mankind … Save man from man … Its all right here , notice what Paul Ehrlich says about the GDP and what do we have today ???? http://www.nbcnews.com/id/44990504/ns/us_news-life/#.URd_8PLzyTY

    He knows exactly what he is doing. He is right on schedule to bring down this nation. One way to do it is to break the country financially. His father was a communist who hated capitalism and he wanted to punish the colonial powers for robbing Africa during colonial times. In his book “Dreams FROM My Father”, he believes that he has a spiritual connection with his father and that his father is relating his wishes to his son in dreams. In other words he believes he is carrying out his father’s wishes by bringing down America to a third world nation.
    That will be the punishment necessary to fulfill his dead father’s wishes.
    America has to pay!!!

    • Lawrence

      dagger, You are close to the truth.

    • Nick Czudy

      Dagger,
      You are high as a kite. Can you give evidence of how you think that you know how Obama is thinking these things. Anything that I have heard him talk about , has never shown any leaning to hating America and wanting to bankrupt it. Everything that he has done has been to try and pull the USA out of the recession. Look how the USA is leading the world in the recovery. These are the kinds of statements that are bandied about this site with no rationale or evidence. Please give some evidence. I think that we need something a little ,more than his father hated capitalism and is calling to him from the grave. If it is your learned opinion then state that. There certainly is no evidence to corroborate your statements.

      • nickkin

        You take the bait like any fish in the liberal-socialistic-waters that feed you slime and make you believe that it’s steak. You relish the dessert of lies that obummer reads on his tele-p and that’s okay. History to sheeple like you is nothing but an old book but because you sheep have to use what is left of your water-boarded brain to understand the lessons of history, that is to much for you to absorb. Obozo read marxist history and is applying it now and recognizes you puppets that don’t have to exercise your pea-brains will except it because it’s an easy way to live off the backs of hard working Americans. Follow the red brick line and you too will look for another country to live in or you can relocate to Greece.

      “root or whatever u call yourself, President Obama is of a sound mind who wants to move America forward.”

      Forward is the direction you are facing. The direction (socialism) obama is facing is not the direction that the founders nor (if they knew) most Americans want to face.

      - Yomistic: “Why is it that you neo naxi ultra conservative….”

      Ad hominem.

    • George E

      Forward/backward, up/down, right/left??? What difference does it make? Just follow Obama wherever he leads you. He’s the great savior of our times. Just ask him. Never gets his hands dirty working on problems, but always finds someone to blame when it doesn’t turn our like people want/expect. Reminds me of other Marxist revolutionary dictators who acted similarly leading their masses into poverty and backwardness while blaming those evil capitalists who want to take advantage of you by giving you low paying jobs and a higher standard of living………

  • Tiredofsocializm

    Bravo well said! If only the majority of Americans would realize what a delusional fraud this President is.

  • mark

    Obama is delusional. This from the guy who said Romney would win! What next.

    • Dave67

      Mr Root like all conservatives have been so wrong about so much… Got to give them credit though… they keep going… and going… and going…

      They are hopeful that their lies can magically turn into fact one day.

      • Bill

        So, Dave67
        How do you explain the less than 1% GDP after 4 years in office. And don’t insult our intelligence by blaming Bush

      • Dave67

        Bill,

        Never blamed Bush for the economy but nice try. This economy was 40 years in the making, tax cut and spend, deregulation in banking, home buying, wall street and credit, bad trade deals…

        So you expect Obama to fix the economy in 4 years after the worst recession since the depression and a Congress who’s record in the senate is record filibusters, and in the House its “just say NO”

        Ok Bill, maybe you don’t understand America. We live in a Republic not a Dictatorship. One day, you will understand the difference.

      • Vicki

        Dave67 is correct. ~40 years in the making. Starting about the time of the CRA (Community Reinvestment Act.)

        Here is the story: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RZVw3no2A4

      • Don 2

        Vicki is absolutely correct.

        Thank you Jimmy Carter for the Community Reinvestment Act.

        Thank you Bill Clinton for putting the Community Reinvestment Act on steroids.

        Thank you Janet Reno for threatening the banking institutions with racism investigations, and expansions restrictions if they did not approve subprime loans to those who could not afford them.

        Thank you Barney Frank for repeatedly lying and telling everyone there were no problems, when there really were.

        Oh my, these people were all Dumocrats.

      • Don 2

        Dave67,

        Seems like you conveniently forgot to mention that the Dumocraps controlled the Presidency, the Senate, and the House of Representatives for the first 2 full years of the Ovomit regime. President Ovomit could have passed anything he wanted for the first 2 years, and the Republicans were completely helpless to stop him from doing anything.

        • kimo3690

          YEAH Don2 WTG!!! Facts are Facts!! BRAVO!

      • Dave67

        Don 2,

        And you clearly have no clue how Congress works. Look up the term filibuster… There were record filibusters when the GOP had the miniority.

        Now, The last two years of the Bush administration and the Obama administration had nmothing to do with the collapse of 2007. It was moves during the Carter, Reagan and Clinton years and their Congresses that put the laws (and lack there of0 in place that caused what happened in 2007. I suggest you take off the red colored glasses and understand history.

    • Bob666

      Yo Mark,
      “What Next”, be paitient, the trolls will tell you.

  • David

    I forget who said it but (the people) re-elected him. Why? I don’t have the answer. Same with Former President Clinton? Why? My only guess is that all of the people who are getting the free phones voted for him and most of the Republicans didn’t vote or voted for someone else (which was an indirect vote for Obama). Then the libs. Ron Paul supporters, not only set out the election, but encouraged people to set out the election and show the Republican party a thing or two. I understand their anger with the GOP (the way they frozen Ron Paul out) I would be ticked too. But to think that sitting out of the process would some how make it better is…well nuts. I know that doing nothing does not improve a bad situation, it does however assure you will get MORE of the same. My head hurts from all the information that was out there as to what would happen if Obama was put back into office and it was just ignored. And bottomline if this country does collapse under this Hugh debt we have gotten (which I fear is going to happen) what happens to the people will not be pretty. We will definitely be divided between the haves and the have nots. And the LA riots will look like a party in comparison. When people get hungry enough and poor enough they will take to the streets to extract their pound of flesh. But wait all they will have are rocks to throw (because they have taken their guns) and the police an or military will have to mow them down to keep (people safe) . Then comes some sort of Marshall Law, elections will be suspended and we will have a king. If that seems too far out there, take a look at history (which is full of dictators rises in these situations) . And we all know what they say about people/nations that ignore history are doomed to repeat it. I don’t have all the answers but as it stands now we have a President that really believes that “you can spend your way out of this recession ” and tax (unarmed) citizens into oblivion. And he is right, he has the power and the ability to ram through just about any program he wants, and if Congress won’t act (fast enough for him) then he will use executive powers (even if over stepping). To get his will. Short of a change of heart on his part or enough Democrats, he will get his way. I do pray for our President (even though I did not vote for him). In the U.S. he is our President (like him or not) he was elected. We do have mid term elections coming up, so if we can all think clearly (at least those not drinking the koollaid) and vote out everyone we can that has turned on us Republican and Democrats alike. We can maybe hold the line of the sinking ship. I personally live check to check and have been using up my savings a little at a time. I hope and pray for this to change but I fear hyper -Inflation will wipe out the rest of my savings and make it to where I can’t provide basic food and shelter for my family. I know and trust God and I still have faith (not in man/government) but in the Almighty.
    May God hear his people’s crys and pour down from Heaven His blessings.

  • Bill

    Obamas speech kind of reminded me of the story of the boy who cried wolf.

    As my memory recall, didn’t he say the same thing before and nothing ever got done. We still have a GDP that is less than 1%.

    What amazes me is how many people fell for his BS again. It is kind of like Lucy with the football

  • John Cerny

    Just listen to yourselves bickering back and forth, Right/Left, Liberal/Conservative, Obama/Bush, Gay/Straight, Guns/No Guns, Christian/Muslim, Black/White, I could go on and on. This is just what they want. When are people going to realize that you are being influenced to fight among yourselves by a small group of extremely wealthy influential people who sit back and watch the cockfight while they work behind the scenes manipulating all of you like puppets to suit their own agenda of complete control. They are in it for the long run and dedicated to their purpose. They are above any government and outside the law only because they work behind the scenes and you don’t know who they are. Make it your business to look beyond your differences at the cause of the friction and who finances it. Who has the most to gain? Follow the power and the money. Get your minds out of your petty ideologies as they are only a distraction, realize you are being manipulated, identify those responsible that are unseen by you and work to expose their agenda. Vote out every incumbent politician and replaced them with real people, unaffiliated with banks and big business, just people, fair people, honest people real people, people who put their petty differences aside for the greater good of all, get them to do campaign finance reform to get the greedy out of the picture and limit campaigns to a fixed amount set by the people. If corporations must be people fine, then they are one person entitled to make a contribution as one person. If John Smith can give $1200 so can Exxon Mobile $1200 as the one person that they are. We’re almost out of time.

    • Patriot

      Could not have said it any better, this has been going on for too long! Our politicians have become lifelong hacks that need to be removed, the perfect example was watching McCain, Schumer & Graham sitting together during the S of U speech and clapping like seals, I despise these people. All politicians that have been in office for 20 years need to go along with any one family that has had a seat for that long. I would like to see average everyday citizens start running for all these offices, we need this more than ever.

    • Vicki

      ” If John Smith can give $1200 so can Exxon Mobile $1200 as the one person that they are. We’re almost out of time.”

      The problem is not Exxon Mobile. The problem is absent ethics in the politician. Exxon et all only pay large amounts of campaign money to politicians because politicians vote on laws that dramatically impact business. If they would actually obey their oath and understand the Constitution they would not be passing all the laws that favor certain businesses. Crony Capitalism exists only because of government force. Laws that “seem” to apply to all business but are VERY difficult for small competitors of big business.

      Walmart is a good example of how the system works.

      http://www.redstate.com/bobweeks/2011/07/05/regulation-supports-business-not-capitalism-and-free-markets/

      And then there is obamacare.

    • kimo3690

      BRAVO John… BRAVO well said!! WE must unite as a Nation and a Republic and look deep into what is REALLY goin on in OUR great Country!!! BE Americans 1st!! All the rest is BS anyway!

  • http://wildeyguns.com The Christian American

    Mr. Root like many others seem think what Obama says are the words of someone that’s actually trying to make things better in America, not the words of a cunning Communist that knows EXACTLY what he’s saying. When he says raise the minimum wage, he knows that raising the minimum wage only causes prices to go up: But it pits employees against employers. It flocks the ignorant to him thinking he’s their savior. It further cause division, just what he wants. His “dreams” are dividing America and that’s what their intended to do. Don’t you always bait a trap with something your victim finds desirable. I’ve read three histories of the United State and two histories of the world that put emphasis on Communism and Fascism.
    I’ve been studying this since 1964 with the Foundation of Economic Education. Obama is lock step with men like Hitler, Marx, Lenin, Stalin et al. Unless people read THEIR Declaration of Independence and Constitution, get an idea of them and pracitice them from their hearts, America’s gone. Lexrex.com has them. Of all people Russia’s Putin tried hard to explain communism to Bush Jr. but pride consumes his inteligence. Bush is a facist (privately owned / government controlled) in his heart and Obama’s a Communist (government owned / government controlled) in his heart.

    These weren’t the words of Santa Claus trying to do better. Those were the word of a cowboy fattening up and rounding up his herd to take to the slaughter house. We must assume the role of the signers of OUR Declaration of Independence

  • Rudee

    Obama has three primary issues on his agenda–think about it!! 1) bankrupt the country, 2) destroy our national defenses and security by cutting the military budget, and 3) disarm the civilian populace. If these are accomplished (and he and his duped liberal leftists are hard at it), any third world socialist terrorist-oriented country can take over this country. Obama must go along with his stupid democratic majority in the senate AND those on the supreme court, the latter not being so simple to oust.

    • eddie47d

      With your plan Rudee there would be even less left of America .It was Conservative policies that gave banks free reign and the collapsing housing market. It was Conservative policies that grew the military and the costly wars which are never ending. Its Conservative polices that armed this country to the teeth yet no one feels safer. Conservative policies are even bigger failures so we don’t need you writing the epitaph on this countries demise.

      • Patriot

        Eddie, I have grown accustomed to reading your truly sad partisan posts that have no support from facts. Can you please show me evidence that gives us resources for those claims? For example, I know that the recent banking regulations have benefited the big banks by making it impossible to create other banks. I also know that the birth of the housing crisis started in the early 90′s when ACORN and other such groups demanded ‘fairness’ in making loans available to those that didn’t qualify. What resulted were regulations that forced banks to make those loans as well as increase the number of those kinds of loans or face penalties. I also know that the Glass Stegal Act that was implemented to keep banks from creating derivatives and engaging policies that would deliver the death blow to the housing market, was signed out of law by Bill Clinton and created by Barney Frank who made millions on the back end of signing that deal. I mean, that is just a start in terms of the facts. Can you show me how it is the sole responsibility of those evil, profiteering conservatives? I am willing to be you can’t.

      • eddie47d

        Glass Steagall was created in 1933 so I’m not sure why you tried to tie it into Frank. There has been some dubious Insider Trading going on in Washington and on Wall Street but I’m not sure if he “made millions” along the way. It was Conservatives and bankers who were behind nullifying Glass Steagall. Which in turn gave those bankers free reign and some really bad policies of their own.

      • Don 2

        eddie47d,

        You’re really struggling here troll, trying to attach the housing crises to Conservatives. Best you go back to minor league troll camp until you’re better prepared for the major league.

      • eddie47d

        Don’t be so giddy Kimo for it was the lack of regulations that the Republicans and Conservatives supported that allowed the banks to pull off their devious plots in the housing market. I’m aware that the Democrats rode along but I go to the source in who got the ball rolling!

      Yo Larry.
      While I dont aggree with all that you have stated, your stat’s on reganomics are pretty sound. where I do agree with 100% is; the fact that corporations have far more power than we do. It’s not, We the “Corporations”, it’s we the “people”.

      I saw a bumper sticker in Atlanta that weekend that summed it up:

      “Politicians should dress like race car drivers, at least then we’d know who their corporate sponsors are”

      • http://www.facebook.com/larry.dillon.58 Larry Dillon
        • Bob666

          Yo Larry,
          There are some interesting points made and they do support, at least in part, what is wrong with our current economic environment.

          It is “we the people”, not “we the corporations”.

          That said, we do have a problem with government spending that is out of control and a lack of personal discipline in our society today. All are problems and all must be solved, not just the ones that get the most press form the right.

      • George E

        So who’s really at fault, the politicians who design and manage the game, or the businesses and organization who play the game to win? Or, maybe their both at fault, but regardless, let’s not let the politicians off the hook.

      • eddie47d

        Thanks Larry that was a classic explanation and to the point. Too many Conservatives think they are those “ordinary people” and end up supporting the Bankster greed.

      • tony newbill

        Eddie This Central banking structure is Obamas Choice , listen to this it explains why the private sector needs to drive the capital system not Government because If Government does then is a Communists state of economic affairs that drives Politics ahead of supply production and history shows us that leads to supply shortages and then oppression , and genocide due to a Bunch of people that cannot be supplied !!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=j5pOEyllZm8

        Great video Tony in how the Public Citizens Group is battling these trade agreements. These legislative agreements benefit the 1% and as was said once these secrecy agreements are set in concrete our government has to pay out more than our country benefits. Not a very winning proposition for us.

      • eddie47d

        Hold your horses Tony I barely finished the first video and my last reply was in response to the first video. Now your rambling on about the private sector controlling our finances and bringing up communism. The private sector has done enough damage to our economy (along with poor government policies).

      • eddie47d

        Tony: A few minutes ago I signed a petition on TPP that you mentioned in your article. Thanks for the heads up.

  • Bob666

    Well,
    It would appear that Mr. Root has thrown out his weekly bag of troll chow for the feeding frenzy.

  • Lawrence

    Mr. Root, All of what you said is true. But what you and many others have failed to see is that God is not blessing America. IT saddens me, but I believe God has given us Obama and he is using this man to judge America for her many sins= abortion, sanctioning perverted sex of all kinds. calling good evil and evil good.

  • Nick Czudy

    Wayne Allan Root. Wayne you are absolutely right. You cannot fix stupid. You and all of the followers on this blog are beyond redemption.
    The contraction in the last quarter was a self inflicted wound, from Congress constantly threatening to cause economic global armeghedden with their stupid policies. Can the GOP and right finally get over causing harm to our economy and country, from the mistaken philosophy that if they screw up the economy, Obama will be blamed and then they will miraculously get re-elected, to come in riding on your shiney horse like a white knight to save the land.
    The archaic views of the right have been the cause of the slow recovery. everything is always doom and gloom and you always like the use the same worn out phrases, whether they are true or not. I know that you are pandering to your base and with their low IQ’s they do eat up everything that you say, as if you were on a pulpit and these were words coming straight from the mouth of God.
    Your quote of being in the middle of a recession is the same doom and gloom pandering. Companies have made record profits, the stock market is at the highest levels and Americans have record savings in their 401 accounts again. It is a far cry from the middle of a severe recession. So you repeated that phrase dozens of times. Lies , lies, lies straight from the pit of hell. This is to paraphrase one of your ilk.
    If the GOP would actually do what they were paid to do and do something positive for the country in stead of being obstructionist, then we would be much farther ahead then where the economy is now.
    Obama’s plan, though it might be a pipe dream, considering the possiblility of ever having anything getting passed by Congress. His plan is a well balanced and safe journey to a thriving economy.
    I know the GOP wants to cut spending on the backs of the middle and lower class, and let their biddies that keep stuffing money in their pockets to make even more record profits, when the rest of America suffers. That is not ecomomic growth.

    You are such an idiot. the $9.00 minimum wage that is long overdue is just a small step in fairness and will stimulate the economy because they will spend every penny of that money. None of it will end up in Cayman Island banks. It will all be spent to pay mortgages, buy groceries, and stimulate the economy. From small minds comes small ideas. There have been actually no good ideas come from the GOP at all.
    The speech from Rubio was based on the usual preconceived ideas that the GOP have use in their daily rantings. Most of them are not true,. but when has that ever been a problem for you. It sounds good as you preach from your pulpit.
    Obama has actually decreased the deficit in each of the past three years. He has a thoughtful and safe, balanced approach to get the economy humming. If the GOP and people like you are not going to make positive steps to help, then go back into your caves and you can keep beating your heads against the wall and keep blaming Obama for all of your torment. If this makes you feel better, then good. If you are not going to help then get out of the way and let the country proceed.
    I cannot remember all of your rants, there were just too many of them. But Denmark is the green energy capital of Europe and they are just doing fine. They don’t have guns, the crime is low and deaths are one of the lowest. There is no poverty and it is a model country. You sited Spain. It is suffering because of all of the austerity that they have supported, just like the GOP plan. Is that what you are trying to suggest that the USA does?
    Grow up.

    • wizzardous

      Funnel-chugging that kool-aid are you?

    • George E

      NIck,

      You are obviously beyond help. You’ve bought into the rich vs. poor, management vs. labor type arguments for too long, and the false notion that Obama is going to save all of the poor and middle class folks from these evil people. These tactics have been used by every revolutionary Marxist dictator in recent years, and we know where that has led. You are brainwashed in typical Marxist philosophy. But, on one point you made, where in the world has Obama cut the budget, in real terms? The only cuts I’ve heard about have been to projected imaginary increased spending, not cuts in actual spending. The debt and deficit are real increases in spending over revenues taken in year after year. This has got to stop or the economy will come crashing down regardless how much fiat money the Fed prints and the stock market rises…………

      • eddie47d

        George; Your comment was oh so typical of those on the right also. Blame it all on that imaginary ‘marxism’ in hoping that will end the conversation. I call it a cop-out from you! You did have a better analysis in your second half but you still left out all the Bankster and corporate shenanigans. That is always so hard for you to admit!

        • George E

          Eddie,

          Can’t help what I think and what appears pretty obvious to me. I’m against “ALL” the criminals and parasites who take advantage of our country and the people in it. That includes those big corporate guys you refer to. Many of them are nothing more than crony capitalists who live off the government like so many of those down the ladder. None of this is good. But, I really don’t excuse our politicians who have designed the “game” that the rest of us have to follow. Everyone is trying to play the game the best way they know how to get by, including those big corporate guys you’re worried about. It’s just that the rules are so complicated that it’s hard to know where the line between legal and illegal is. I think the politicians like that because then they can threaten people and companies with law suites, regulations, fines, and taxes if they don’t comply with their demands. To me, that’s really outrageous because these folks should be held to a higher standard than ordinary folks or even fat cats in those big corporations…………..but they’re not. We let politicians get away with all sorts of things other people couldn’t get away with.

          • Bob666

            Yo George,
            “We let politicians get away with all sorts of things other people couldn’t get away with”.

            On that, we are in complete agreement. Step one, get the big money out of campaigns and everything else is easy to correct.

          Keep on insulting conservatives. Maybe the next election you will make those several million conservatives who couldn’t make themselves vote for Romney in this last election because he was too “liberal” will find the courage to go to the polls to vote against the kind of socialist/Marxist candidates you obviously support. Keep it up. Most of the folks in this country are still conservative in their values, and prefer candidates who go down that path. Obama has just got too many “star struck” right now to see what’s really going on. Maybe when the economy falls completely a part (which it will soon), they’ll be able to sort out who’s really to blame, and we’ll be able to start fixing this country again. Until then, please go ahead tooting your horn and insulting those of us on the Right. What goes around, comes around…….

      • Don 2

        George E,

        Barack Obama admittedly arrived at Occidental College a committed Marxist. Obama transferred to Columbia after 2 years and dedicated himself to radical courses and associations. He studied Political Islam under Dr. Edward Said, known as the ‘Professor of Terror’ because of his relationship with the PLO.

        He also studied under Professor Richard Cloward, of Cloward & Piven fame. Cloward, a Marxist, authored ‘The Crises Strategy’ which advocated overwelming the welfare roles with minorities in order to collapse capitalism.

        On April 1, 1983, Bill Ayers (Weather Underground) and Barack Obama attended the ‘Socialist Scholars Conference’ at Cooper Union in NYC. The conference emphasized ‘Community Organizing’ as a political strategy which argued that the Democratic Party could be turned sharply leftward by polarizing populations along class lines, forcing Democrats to embrace socialism as their national ideology. The strategy was simple. Inflame the lower and middle classes against American corporations. Obama himself thought this was a skillful adaptation of Marxist principles.

      Hey dummy, the last time minimum wage was raised, the unemployment rate for 16 to 19 year olds shot up to 25%, and it remains their today. Want to get that number to 50% and change the spread from 16 to 19 to 16 to 23, raise the minimum wage. Oh and by the way, who do you think is going to pay for that increase, where do you think the money will come from… come on, I know no one can be that stupid!

      • Texas Ride

        I have never seen a teenager worth $9 an hour. Fact is, I know few if any libs worth that!

      • Nick Czudy

        Hi Jim. the data that I saw yesterday from the times in New York, showed that the last time that the minimum wage was raised, that it actually did not make any change in the employment and job figures. Your data does not jive with the other info. where did you get your numbers. regards Nick Cz Many economists stated that it would actually be a stimulus to the economy. People on minimum wage spend all of it locally. It will put more money into their local economy. regards Nick Cz

    • Don 2

      Your right Nick. You can’t fix stupid. Here is why. -

      Sheila Jackson Lee (Dumocrat – Houston) just stated on the house floor today, “I stand here this morning as a ‘freed’ slave because members of this congress came together.”

      Well, my question is, ” Who sold her, how much did they get for her, and can we free the rest of the slaves?

    • Texas Ride

      Nick is a typical libturd. Libs jhave nothing to support their statements so all they can do is spew “personal attacks” on anyone that disagrees. with them. Like any of us really care what the libs think of our conservatism.

      The only “Facts” libs need to know is that theirs is an old and wornout ideology that has been tried throughout the ages…and always failed! The definition of “insanity” is to keep trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

      Liberalism is a Mental Disease.

      • Nick Czudy

        Texas ride. What you have said is true if you exchange the Rightie GOP in place of where you say Lefties. the lies that have come out of the right wing media and community is on the record. It is a 80/20 ratio. You guys have drunk the koolaid that you believe what guys like Wayne here say, hook, line and sinker. You never have any proof to back your lies. then you accuse the lefties of being the liers. It is pathetic. Are you guys always on a reefer high or something?

        • kimo3690

          Is that ALL you got Nick is name calling??? YOU have never posted an ounce of FACT or TRUTH on this site. Folks have offered you and your cohorts MOUNTAINS of facts & truth, which YOU constantly ignore so you can call names and make snide remarks ~ YOU sir DEMONSTRATE repeatedly that you are a dillard and cannot have a discussion without name-calling and put downs ……. YOU are pathetic just like YOUR “idol”….

          • Nick Czudy

            Kimo Where are your facts to support your statements. give me facts for Kenyan, Birth certificate, Obama hates America, Obama wants to put America into bankrupcy, Obama is against business, Obama is a Muslim, Obama is a spender, the list goes on an on. These are all statements that have not been proven. He has never said anything alone these lines. These are GOP talking points that have to proven fact.
            Bob the 2% increase in your SS came when congress would not fix the fiscal cliff. Obama caved in to the GOP congress to give them a bone so that they would pay their bills. All of the stress and bad times that have come to America in the last 10 years was from the policies of the GOP. The rich 1to 2% have done quite well because of these polices. the middle class has stagnated. You accuse me of name calling. I respond to how you reply to me. I have called you idiots which is not name calling, it is stating a fact. I have never taken someones name and slandered it the way the you guys do it. You can’t ever call Obama by his name, but always some divisive mutation. It is part of what it means to be Right wing to ridicule someone and to try and demean them. this makes you feel better and more manly, especially when you have your guns close by.

          • kimo3690

            YOU GUYS, YOU GUYS, YOU GUYS……… there lies the problem Nick!! WE the People are ALL in this together….. I think what frustrates some of us is YOU don’t see it…. WE are ALL Americans… together… about to go down the abyss into a world of hurt from a Marxist/Muslim Leader…… whether YOU want to believe it or not… YOU have every right to stay in denial… the 1st Amendment allows you that…. I didn’t watch much of his address, ~ Mother has came down ill and Everybody loves Raymond was on. So my attention was spread thin that night. ~

    What little I did see affirmed what I believe is taking place in America today. From the offset 44′s administration has stressed “long term sustainable economic growth” for all Americans as been his goals.

    These large projects take time to get off the ground . ~ First the need and interest must be there. ` Such thing must be clearly identified, feasibility studies , impact and liability studies must be considered.

    Such project will affect communities, whole states. ~ A consensus must be arrived at, ~ backing and funding. ~ who’s in, who’s out.

    The Attorney’s, politicians , surveyor’s, engineers and draftsmen, must do their work First.

    Such efforts takes time to happen. Four to 10 year is not outside the realm of probably for huge projects.

    Once the “job surveyor’s arrive, the earth movers will follow, while at the same time power and water and sewage will be making it way to each location. The plumbers and electrician will follow , place their lines and pipes in the ground before the concrete men start their pouring of miles of concrete.

    These sort of major efforts will spur the economy to new levels we might only now dream of.

    There is much afoot today , but unless your profession is in the loop of these early activities, ~ the rest of us seem to be little more then Desperadoes waiting for a Train, we are benched!

    There a mining company that is wanting to start a huge mining copper mining project in Alaska , it will be the biggest open pit mining project in the world. It is meeting some opposition as it’s location is at the head waters of the Sockeye Salmon breeding pools.

    Keystone pipeline ~ for now, ~ the pot is not right. ~ it’s being blocked ~ Why you might ask? Well some of the objections to it has yet to be fully addressed. ~ Someone feeling that their interest is worth more then what they have been offered. ~ There is lot of people involved in such a project. ~ Notions of Fair and equatable can take years to sort out.

    U.S., state to fund battery research at Argonne
    Coordinated effort will include universities, private companies
    November 30, 2012|By Julie Wernau, Chicago Tribune reporter

    “The U.S. Department of Energy has chosen Argonne National Laboratory, in suburban Lemont, to become America’s capital for battery technology.

    The announcement, to be made Friday, will include building a research facility to coordinate the clout and brainpower of five Department of Energy national laboratories, five universities and four private companies that independently have been working to advance battery technology.
    Funded with $120 million from the DOE and a $35 million commitment from Gov. Pat Quinn, the Joint Center for Energy Storage Research is expected to develop lighter, cheaper batteries for everything from smartphones to electric vehicles that store more power and charge faster.

    Chicago would be the fourth so-called Energy Innovation Hub that the DOE has established since 2010. The concept is modeled after research and development programs that spurred breakthroughs in the past, such as the Manhattan Project, which produced the first atomic bomb.

    Other hubs have been devoted to modeling and simulating nuclear reactors, developing fuels from sunlight, and improving energy efficiency in buildings.

    Like the space race of the 1960s, the U.S. is battling other nations to be at the forefront of a rapidly growing $42 billion worldwide market for rechargeable batteries that’s growing 8.6 percent per year. That number comes from research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan, which predicts the industry’s growth rate and revenues to double by 2018.

    A breakthrough in battery technology would have major implications for the auto, wind and solar industries. In particular, the wind and solar industries are looking for affordable batteries to store intermittent power so they can provide power even when the wind isn’t blowing or the sun isn’t shining.

    Batteries that store electricity from the electrical grid are also in demand in countries where outages are frequent or in the case of natural disasters that black out cities for days.

    “We’re going to be the center of the universe when it comes to charging batteries and storing energy,” Quinn told the Tribune in an interview Thursday.”

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    There is many ambitious projects afoot today ~ that will serve Americans long term interest far into the future.
    If you do not wish to give our 44th President leadership credit for this underpinning that is being created today. ~ That’s up to you ~ I can’t stop you, I can’t make you see if you refuse to see.
    It does not help “you or me now” ~ I will agree ~ while today, is better then last year or the year before ~ or the year before that ~ The improvement will be slow and it will be regional ~ People will be required to move about the nation and seek their future.
    If America can stay out of wars that do not serve our best interest ~ we have a bright future before us.
    Myself or you or Obama will never live to enjoy the economic prosperity that will come from what is taking place today. ~nor did President Hover ever enjoy a fun weekend in Vegas! ~ but he help build it and all the many things that followed the construction of Bolder Dam.
          John Hawkins: 15 Things That Are Not Okay For Liberals To Do
          So, while everything you’re about to read applies just as much to libertarians, conservatives and moderates as it does to the Left, it’s the liberals who need to hear it because they’re the only mainstream ideology that habitually engages in such uncivilized behavior.
          It’s not okay to…
          1) ….hold a protest at someone’s personal residence. The only reason anyone does that is to send the fascistic message that, “We know where you live and something bad may happen to you and your family if you continue to oppose us.”
          2) ….put the names of gun owners in the paper to make some kind of moral point. It’s even worse to do that and then, when someone returns the favor, hire armed guards to protect your house.
          3) ….suspend a 7 year old from school for tossing, “an imaginary grenade into a box with what he called pretend evil forces inside.”
          4) …suspend kids from school for wearing American flag bandannas and chanting USA, USA, USA.
          5) …accuse people of being racist for political reasons.
          6) ….advocate lying about people who disagree with you to further your political goals.
          7) …abort a child without the permission of the father. If the father is required to support a child after it’s born because it “takes two” — and he should be — then the mother shouldn’t be able to end the life of his child without his agreement.
          8) …publicly celebrate the death or injury of people you disagree with politically.
          9) …call for violence against people you disagree with politically or the destruction of their property.
          10) …try to shout people down at a speech to keep them from being heard or throw glitter, salad dressing, pies, or even pull fire alarms to try to prevent them from being able to exercise their First Amendment rights.
          11) …hack into people’s home computers or email. It’s even worse to do it and distribute what you find to the press.
          12) …take welfare, food stamps, school lunches or anything else that requires you to live off what somebody else has earned without at least feeling some shame for not being able to take care of yourself. It’s even worse when you take people’s charity and then complain about the way you’re being given handouts.
          13) …threaten, bully, personally insult or request that gay Americans commit suicide because they didn’t vote for the candidate you support.
          14) …aim race-based slurs at people you disagree with politically.
          15) …hurl gross sexual insults at conservative women, photoshop them onto pornography, do porno movies featuring actresses pretending to be them, or to talk about how you’d like to “hate f***” them
          I love this, NOW watch the response which will PROVE the Message!!
            Did President Obama create 5 trillion dollars of debit?
            5,000,000.000,000 -Increased debit since President Obama took office.
            -1,600,000,000,000 -Debit created by Bush’s Iraq and Afghanistan wars after Bush left office and under Obama’s command.
            -1,400,000,000,000 -Interest payments for outstanding debit dating from the Bush administration.
            -1,600,000,000,000 -Lost revenue from Bush’s tax cuts.
            ________________
            400,000,000,000 -Debit authorized by Congress.
            Much of the Government spending was caused by the Bush recession.More ppl were forced to apply for food stamps and other forms of public assistance
            Capitalism is an ideology for obtaining wealth not an ideology for governing a society.Capitalism does not need to be choked to death rather chocked into submission.Society should use capitalism to its benefit not capitalism abusing society for the betterment of the capitalistic kings.Capitalism is amoral,those who manipulate it however are not.The Government of the people need to regulate it.
            In 2011 a spring budget deal was reached to avert a government shutdown,spending cuts were in acted.Also the Budget Control Act was passed.This equated to 1.5 trillion dollars in cuts.The ACA reduced Medicare spending by 700 billion dollars.That is 2.2 trillion total in saving cuts.
            To avoid the fiscal cliff republicans gave into 600 billion in tax increases on the wealthy.They claim to raise the debt ceiling they want 1 dollar in cuts for 1 dollar in debit increase.
            2.2 trillion minus 600 billion equals 1.6 trillion.
            Republicans owe us 1.4 trillion in debit increases.
    Four more years! Just think of what kind of damage the emperor in chief can do in that amount of time. Think of the people he will have killed, the additional constitutional laws he will break, the racial divisions and hatred he will incite, the money he will steal, and the millions more he will turn into government serfs. At the end of his term there will be a country full of zombies. Unable work or care for themselves or their families. Honestly, we cannot even begin to comprehend the amount of damage this country will sustain with another four years of the emperor in chief. Disarmed and starving is not a place to be when the cards fold, the smoke clears, and mirrors broken.
    • George E
      Yep. I’m guessing sometime in the 2015-2017 time frame. Probably toward the end of Obama’s second term. Wonder if he will still be able to blame it on Bush after spending trillions of dollars we don’t have, getting Obamacare, and who knows how many more new taxes and regulations he’ll finagle out of Congress and the American people that we don’t need and can’t afford by then. I’m definitely sure he’s going to try. The question is just how naive are we?
      • Patriot
        I keep hearing that those that don’t agree with your political ideology are ‘psychotic’ and ‘nuts’ and ‘deranged’ as well as ‘fascists’, yet you have been entirely unable to present any sort of lucid argument, nor have you refuted any of the facts presented in this blog post to support your claims. I would also point out that I don’t believe that you have an understanding of economics, our system of government, or the definition of fascism. Our government – both parties and all of their ideologies, as well as their corporate cronies on BOTH side of the aisle – are completely responsible for our socioeconomic destruction. What was presented here are simple facts. And as our economy collapses and the wealth and security of our nation crumbles into the dust, I hope that you can find that blame for this isn’t in our system, but in those that have perverted it for their profit. And that is not exclusive to conservatives.
      • Jonathan
    obama knows he is well on his way to destroying us. he is a thug. he is no president. he got there on lies and thuggery. he knows as long as he keeps America at this spend rate, as long as the military suffers, he can keep espousing all sorts of grandiose plans and the nation keeps on smoldering, just waiting to ignite…time is our enemy, it is his friend. he has succceeded in using his words to convince America he is for one thing or another, all the while knowing it is all a smokescreen. he is overseeing America’s spending into self-destruction and he knows it. Treason is too kind a word to describe this fraudulent criminal.
He just doesn’t have the cognitive ability to link cause & effect and thinks he is a messiah of sorts. actually pretty sad.,,,but unfortunately, these sorts makes the BEST con men…think of history and the masses dumbed down to applaud them.
    • George E
      Yep, and he sees himself in the image of Marxist revolutionary dictators. He doesn’t actually govern, he leaves that to other people so he doesn’t have to take the blame for anything. He can say or do almost anything as long as he can convince the masses that it’s the mythical “bad guys” whoever, and wherever they are that’s really at fault for the ills we are experiencing, and that he’s the good guy that’s going to save them. Unfortunately, that has been proven to work in many countries, and unfortunately it looks like we’re going to add our country’s name to that list as well. Never thought it could happen here, but it has. If people don’t wake up, we’ll just prove that we’re really not any smarter or better than many of those banana republics and third world toilet countries we’ve made fun of over the years.
      Please watch and especially listen the Dr. Benjamin Carson’s speech (for ONE week it got more than 2.000.000 hits) at the National Prayer Breakfast on February 7, 2013.
      He spoke about PC, EDUCATION, Entitlements, Taxes, Spending, Health Care, Politics and his FAITH. EACH word he spoke was TRUE!
      But WHY I am recommending you to LISTEN his speech?
      Not only because Dr. Carson’s speech made the Kenyan FRAUD to feel veeeery uncomfortable, but also because the CORRUPT WHORE media and DEMONcrat commentators were “OUTRAGED” that Dr. Carson’s speech was “inappropriate” for the place & time.
    Great comments. Right on. Absolutely nothing positive in there, but what the hell, it’s much harder to tear down something than build it, right? I guess the unfortunate thing about trying to motivate people – citizens or members of Congress, for example – is that you have to try to find evidence of something good that’s been happening, and present that as a foundation to build on. But we all know that nothing good has happened in, say, the last 10 years, so it must be all lies.
    Tell you what, read this:
    http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2013/02/10/f-rfa-macdonald-wall-street.html
    then find the pricks that are mentioned in there that are “too big to jail”, lock them up, and throw the keys away. Maybe then you’ll get off to a decent start and have something positive to talk about.
    Do the same thing to “corporate leaders” who “offshore their profits”. Lock ‘em up. Then they won’t care how much extra profit they make, since all of it will go to their lawyers, trying to get them out.
    And you might want to try to digest this material while you’re waiting for something good to happen:
    http://www.thestar.com/opinion/editorialopinion/2013/02/12/unions_in_canada_under_siege_from_government_business_and_media_mcquaig.html
    Best of luck, citizens.
      John Adams says:
      “But we all know that nothing good has happened in, say, the last 10 years, so it must be all lies.
      Tell you what, read this:
      then find the pricks that are mentioned in there that are “too big to jail”, lock them up, and throw the keys away. Maybe then you’ll get off to a decent start and have something positive to talk about.”
      Umm… If we are going to hold “pricks” accountable, how about we hold the ones who ACTUALLY caused the problem accountable.
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RZVw3no2A4
      Take special note at 2:35. Banks HAD to issue. Why? Because if they failed to they would face severe penalties. From whom? From GOVERNMENT.
      - John Adams: “Do the same thing to “corporate leaders” who “offshore their profits”. Lock ‘em up.”
      So the (government) thief comes to steal your money and you put it in a bank and you want us to put YOU in jail? How sensible is that?
      - John Adams: “Then they won’t care how much extra profit they make, since all of it will go to their lawyers, trying to get them out.”
      Just another scam to feed lawyers obscene profit. Nice. For lawyers.
      - John Adams: “Best of luck, citizens.”
      Luck is not all that will be needed.
      • Flashy
        UmmmmVicki…please show the law or regulation that mandated banks had to enter the sub prime mortgage arket. I highly doubt you can, BECAUSE IT DOESN”T EXIST. No one held a gun to the head of the banks and lenders of sub prime mortgages. It wasn’t “mandated” and the Community Reinvestment Act is nothing more than a reporting tool to ensure what a community gave to a bank via deposits, a certain amount based upon deposits was reinvested back into the neighborhood. be it car loans, commercial loans, home loans, etc. It was enacted in 1977 to prevent banks from red lining neighborhoods and rural areas. .
        FNMA and Freddie never issued sub prime loans. They bought the MBS’s as a major part of their investment portfolio…but never entered the subprime loan industry. Even had they stayed out of the MBS market, they still would have been hammered as the collapse hit A paper as the entire market imploded.
        let me guess…you red it on some wcked out blog on the internet, or it came in your email from some wacked out newsletter group…so it has to be true….
        • Patriot
          Well, Flashy, such laws DID exist. And major changes in regulation that required banks maintain a percentage of their portfolios were largely to blame. As usual, you are all ideology and no facts.
          Several administrations, both Democratic and Republican, advocated affordable housing policies in the years leading up to the crisis. The Housing and Community Development Act of 1992 established, for the first time, an affordable housing loan purchase mandate for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, a mandate to be regulated by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Initially, the 1992 legislation required that 30 percent or more of Fannie’s and Freddie’s loan purchases be related to affordable housing. However, HUD was given the power to set future requirements, and eventually (under the Bush Administration) a 56 percent minimum was established.[135] To fulfill the requirements, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac established programs to purchase $5 trillion in affordable housing loans,[136] and encouraged lenders to relax underwriting standards to produce those loans.[135]
          “The National Homeownership Strategy: Partners in the American Dream (“Strategy”), was compiled in 1995 by Henry Cisneros, President Clinton’s HUD Secretary. This 100-page document represented the viewpoints of HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, leaders of the housing industry, various banks, numerous activist organizations such as ACORN and La Raza, and representatives from several state and local governments.” [137] In 2001, the independent research company, Graham Fisher & Company, stated: “While the underlying initiatives of the [Strategy] were broad in content, the main theme … was the relaxation of credit standards.”[138]
          The Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission (majority report), Federal Reserve Economists, and several academic researchers have stated that government affordable housing policies were not the major cause of the financial crisis.[2][27] They also state that Community Reinvestment Act loans outperformed other “subprime” mortgages, and GSE mortgages performed better than private label securitizations.
          The Glass-Steagall Act was enacted after the Great Depression. It separated commercial banks and investment banks, in part to avoid potential conflicts of interest between the lending activities of the former and rating activities of the latter. In 1999 Glass-Steagall was repealed by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and was signed into law by president Clinton, and created by Barney Frank. Economist Joseph Stiglitz criticized the repeal of Glass Steagall because, in his opinion, it created a risk-taking culture of investment banking dominated the more conservative commercial banking culture, leading to increased levels of risk-taking and leverage during the boom period
          Sometime in the future, you may want to drop your emotionally based ideology in exchange for clear thought, understanding of our economy, our Constitution, and the simple fact that both parties and thier constant lies are equally destructive to our economy and our Republic. When you do, you will be able to better prepare for the massive and inevitable meltdown of the entire economy of our nation. When you understand that Obama, and the lunatics in Congress AS WELL as their predecessors have destroyed this country, the reality of the gigantic failure of your economic system wont come as such as surprise.
          Oh, and you will sound a lot less like a complete jackass.
          • kimo3690
            Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww PATRIOT kick that liberal azz into REALITY!!! BRAVO!!!
    • John Adams
      Thank you, Patriot, for your cool eloquence, and your detailed knowledge of the key government documents, presented so clearly here; documents that served as the legal touchstone for the mortgage-centric train wreck that characterizes the ongoing moral and financial corruption of America, and arguably the rest of the planet as well.
      With the relaxation of credit came the financial predators and opportunists who chose, by and large, to take brutal advantage of the financial illiterates who came seeking the American Dream without sufficient resources, and rather than educate them on what is actually required to carry the cost of a home from one month to the next, they overburdened them with payments they could never sustain, packaged their huge masses of bad debt in bulk, and passed these “omnibus time bombs” along to unsuspecting investors who took it on the strength of credit ratings agencies that they were buying triple-A quality investments.
      As for the notion that banks *had* to give loans to financially insolvent or obviously underfunded persons, I feel obliged to quote Charles McCabe, San Francisco journalist (deceased) who famously said, “Nobody *has* do to *anything*. Relaxing credit is one thing, putting it in a coma in order to screw people at both ends of the transaction is clearly something else.
      I hope you will pardon any bitterness in my tone, but it makes me angry that, as a result of this criminal behviour (there is NO OTHER word for it), employment was slashed, massive pension funds and legitimate personal lifetime investments were destroyed, and unions – both private and public – have been attacked, and painted as the real villains of the piece when all they have ever tried to do was protect their members from this kind reckless destruction of everything that America has come to stand for – fairness, opportunity, and freedom.
      The fact that average people – not rich not poor – have been sideswiped by these corporate thieves as they cruise on in search of ever-greater profits should make everyone (except the guilty, of course) just as angry. Yet, nothing has been done to correct this huge injustice, and I bitterly believe that nothing ever will be done about it. The political will simply does not exist.
      • Bob666
        Yo John,
        Well put, there was no law that encouraged greed, the banking industry did this on thier own and all of us are paying for it.
        Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman
        Liberty Counsel 2/14/2013
        In reviewing Tuesday night’s State of the Union Address, I was struck by the President’s hubris in touting all that he has allegedly accomplished while in office – while blaming virtually everything that went wrong on Congress. At least the President has finally stopped blaming George W. Bush for whatever goes wrong in Washington, DC!
        But make no mistake, the President has been caught in some real “whoppers” through this year’s post-speech fact checking process. We can learn a lot about how he intends to govern during his second term from reviewing a few of his most outrageous distortions of truth. Please read my important message below – Mat.
        Bryan T.,
        Political spin in praising one’s own accomplishments is commonplace in politics, especially when one has little positive news to report.
        President Obama has mastered the art of self promotion. In fact, he has all but perfected it – and the closely related skill of playing blame game.
        Capitalizing on the truism that even gross falsehoods can seem believable if they are presented with enough enthusiasm, Barack Obama went over the top on several of his key themes in 2013’s State of the Union Address. Let’s get started…
        Barack Obama blamed Congress for passing the “sequestration” bill which, if not changed, will automatically slash spending budgets across the board – including deep cuts into defense spending – at the end of this month. He even called it “a really bad idea.”
        Yet the original “sequestration” plan was hatched by President Obama and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Jack Lew to force Republicans to cave on raising the debt ceiling!
        Congress passed the proposed “sequestration” bill in the deal to raise the debt ceiling – and now the President’s chicken has come home to roost.
        What outrageous hypocrisy! This attempt to transfer blame tells us a lot about what Barack Obama thinks of the American People to whom he was reporting!
        The President also told the nation – with a straight face, no less –that his programs created 6 million jobs in his first term.
        The Bureau of Labor and Statistics reports that 6 million jobs have been “gained” – but just 1.2 million jobs have been created, a number far below expectations. Counter that statistic with the fact that the number of jobs available in the market is about 3.2 million less than before Obama took office.
        The President claims that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare)… “is helping to slow the growth of health care costs.”
        The IRS, just days ago, released a study that says that the cost of a minimal family healthcare policy could be $20,000 annually by 2016 under ObamaCare. That, Mr. President, is a dramatic increase in costs to every American family!
        The President proclaimed… “Over the last few years, both parties have worked together to reduce the deficit by more than $2.5 trillion — mostly through spending cuts, but also by raising tax rates on the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans.”
        This incredible number is reached through overt accounting “smoke and mirrors” and is disputed by a number of credible accounting firms and agencies.
        The fact is, the United States debt now stands at over $16.5 trillion – up from $10.6 trillion when Mr. Obama took office. We continue to see trillion dollar deficits annually. Remember in 2009 when the President promised… “Today I am pledging to cut the deficit we inherited in half by the end of my first term in office”?
        In the address Tuesday night, President Obama promised 29 new programs and outrageously claimed, “Nothing I’m proposing should increase the deficit by a single dime.”
        Good luck on that one, Mr. President. Here’s the worst part: The tyranny will increase.
        President Obama proudly announced that he is considering issuing extensive Executive Orders on gun control, Internet control (cyber-security), housing, homosexual rights, and climate change if Congress doesn’t conform to his agenda – in essence bypassing the Legislative Branch and further subverting the Constitution’s separation of powers.
        Reviewing the speech in its entirety, the overall theme was: “I’ve been let down by Congress and the American People, so now I’m going to get it all done by taking unilateral action.” Sadly, we are entering a chilling new phase of the Obama dictatorship.
        Liberty Counsel has initiated our powerful “I Second the First” campaign to defend the Constitution from leftist attacks!
        Liberty Counsel’s “I Second the First” campaign communicates to our elected representatives that…
        “We the People” demand that our federal government return to the rule of law as established by the United States Constitution!
        The First and Second Amendments enshrine liberties that are worth fighting for!
            I just LOVE “outing” these socialist/marxist/communist shills/trolls on this site!!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
            Under Barack Obama, our nation has entered a full-blown constitutional crisis.
            The evidence is clear. Our President is blatantly ignoring our constitutional system of checks and balances through his attack on our religious liberties; proposed gun control through executive orders; establishment of a “shadow government” of unaccountable, unvetted “czars” – and numerous other subversions of our Constitution.
            Together, we must stop this tyrannical, subversive activity before the Obama administration and its congressional cronies succeed in remaking the United States of America into a socialist nation!
            IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!!!
            Whatever Kaotic Kimo…
            The reality is your Party has a national approval rating of 23% and FALLING
            Your deluded Tea-Nut House has a national approval rating of 19% and FALLING
            Where are your freakin’ votes?????????
            Your dream of impeachment is delusional…Once again the reality is the Senate is controlled by Progressive Dems you nut job..
            Kinda of like the Tea-Nut House wasting time and money introducing 33 bills to overturn the Constitutionally upheld ACA when the Senate has said its dead on arrival and Obama says he’ll veto…Like your demented Politicians you are clueless
            Repugs impeached Clinton too….Made him a hero..Just Sayin’
            Yo Larry,
            “Repugs impeached Clinton too….Made him a hero..Just Sayin’”
            Good point about President Willie. Most of the GOP that went after him with impeachment went bye-bye in their next election and today, he has never had a higer approaval rating amoung the GOP.
            Facts are always stranger than fiction!
          • Bob666
            Yo Larry,
            based on some of the things that you have posted, you might have an interest in this:
            JWR is a dailey email and they have some very rational and well writen information. On this particular item, you have to get past the Holy Ark which contains the Tablets with the Ten Commandments, but the message is quite clear.
            Yeah I skimmed the article but not really interested in a morality lesson from a faith that promotes rape,slavery,misogyny,homophobia,bigotry,genocide…I find the belief system quite immoral and sick IMO..
            Yo Salacious B. Crumb,
            Pop a couple of “d-cells” in that night stand machine and stoke your self since your personality is a deal breaker for any man out there. I suspect your looks checked out at least 60 years ago-like a rasin in the sun?
          • Bob666
            Yo Larry,
            I believe that you missed the point, let me explain.
            You and I probably have more of a similar view of organized religion that you realize. That said, From My observation, faith is a higher power is a good thing and where I differ from most on this site, I am pretty certain that our founding father were mostly Christian and 2/3′s of them were masons, but from here is where I differ from the religious right.
            I recognize their (the founding fathers) clear intentions in a separation of church and state as they were very close in time to the crusades, the inquisitions and the raw power that organized religion created in Europe, not because of “god”, but because of the hunger for power by men who did ugly things in the name of god.
            The Torah is the foundation of the old testament and most people on this site have never read it, but it provided a set of guide lines for men to treat each other ethically and with respect-regardless of their differences.
            To coin the phrase of the hypocrites, love the sinner-not the sin. It’s unfortunate that most of the righteous fail miserably in this concept. The GOP has manipulated the religious right for many years, but that ship is taking on water and about to sink as many of us in the middle fear those narrow minded people who want to do ugly things once again in the name of god.
            Those who preach the most tend to have the least amount of real faith.
          • http://www.facebook.com/larry.dillon.58 Larry Dillon
            If person claims to know the will of God for there personal life,that cool I could careless.However when you claim to know the “will” of God for my life,the nation and the world,well that is a psychosis.A mental hang-up that psychiatry is capable of assisting one in over-coming….Religious delusion are intense
            I believe a majority of our Founding Fathers were Believers “Deist” not necessarily Christian though…They went to church more out of Social reflections than those of faith
            United States Constitution:
            The First Amendment
            “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion…”
            Article VI, Section 3
            “…no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.”
            John Adams (the second President of the United States):
            Adams signed the Treaty of Tripoli (June 7, 1797). Article 11 states:
            “The government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion.”
            From a letter to Charles Cushing (October 19, 1756):
            “Twenty times in the course of my late reading, have I been upon the point of breaking out, ‘this would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it.’”
            From a letter to Thomas Jefferson:
            “I almost shudder at the thought of alluding to the most fatal example of the abuses of grief which the history of mankind has preserved — the Cross. Consider what calamities that engine of grief has produced!”
            Additional quotes from John Adams:
            “Where do we find a precept in the Bible for Creeds, Confessions, Doctrines and Oaths, and whole carloads of trumpery that we find religion encumbered with in these days?”
            “The Doctrine of the divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity.”
            “…Thirteen governments [of the original states] thus founded on the natural authority of the people alone, without a pretence of miracle or mystery, and which are destined to spread over the northern part of that whole quarter of the globe, are a great point gained in favor of the rights of mankind.”
            Thomas Jefferson (the third President of the United States):
            Jefferson’s interpretation of the first amendment in a letter to the Danbury Baptist Association (January 1, 1802):
            “Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legislative powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,’ thus building a wall of separation between church and State.”
            From Jefferson’s biography:
            “…an amendment was proposed by inserting the words, ‘Jesus Christ…the holy author of our religion,’ which was rejected ‘By a great majority in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and the Mohammedan, the Hindoo and the Infidel of every denomination.’”
            Jefferson’s “The Statute of Virginia for Religious Freedom”:
            “Our civil rights have no dependence on our religious opinions, more than on our opinions in physics and geometry….The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.”
            From Thomas Jefferson’s Bible:
            “The day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the Supreme Being as his father, in the womb of a virgin, will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter.”
            Jefferson’s Notes on Virginia:
            “Reason and persuasion are the only practicable instruments. To make way for these free inquiry must be indulged; how can we wish others to indulge it while we refuse ourselves? But every state, says an inquisitor, has established some religion. No two, say I, have established the same. Is this a proof of the infallibility of establishments?”
          • Bob666
            Yo Larry,
            As I said, I believe that we are probably more in agreement than most. I live in South Florida in a Jewish neighborhood in between four temples. These folks are very good neighbors and we all respect each others moral and religious faith.
            But the thing I like most about them is; they dont want me to come down and join their temple-they don’t want you or most anyone else on this site and I find that very refreshing in them.
            What a wonderful world it would be if the pius and rightious could respect everyone like that?
          • Bob666
            Yo Salacious B. Crumb,
            To Quote Ronald Reagan -”there you go again”.
            I hate to disappoint you (as easy as you make it for me), but I’m not a democrat and I did not vote for President Obama. I am probably more conservative that you will ever hope to be and I deal with a concept that I suspect is very foreign to you-its called Reality.
            Reality is a world class B1tch and people like you will insure another President Clinton or President Biden as your numbers continue to dwindle and independents like myself see you as the fossil that you are soon to be. Keep believing in conspiracy theories, election fraud, Kenyan birth certificates and FEMA camps after “Obama takes your gun”.
            The first and second amendments are in sound shape and are not going to change.
            By the way, there will be no third term for President Obama-that is just troll chow to keep people like you flipping on the line.
            Go read a book-you might start off with comic books since there are lots of pictures and the words tend to have three syllables or less-you might get your IQ to triple digits (well-one can only hope-I will be pulling for you).
        We do vote, but we are always out voted by the illegals (who vote more than once, twice), the lazy (clueless leeches) and the electoral college (should be dismantled and shouldn’t exist). Our votes mean absolutely nothing. We are ruled by mobs, a true democracy.
    Every DAY since that LYING POS gave the “speech” , he has been feverishly galavanting around the country, trying to DRUM UP MORE DEMAND for even MORE Federal spending ! What even Mr. W.A.R. does NOT seem to realize : THE VERY DAY THAT THE DEMOCRATS CAN NO LONGER DREAM UP MORE FREE STUFF – they will be RUN OUT OF OFFICE ! The ONLY thing that keeps them in control is their ENDLESS pursuit of VOTERS GREED , VANITY , LACIVITIOIUSNESS , and all the other EVILS OF THE HUMAN SEWER ; and getting the TAXPAYER to pay for their MONOPOLY of FREE STUFF ! Soon , I expect they will be OFFERING A NEW FREE CAR EVERY YEAR ( ! ) to “poor” inner city “students” if they stay in school : soon they will generate High School “Students” that will be attending “classes” for 20-30-40 YEARS !
    Just another “poor-people” entitlement for them to keep getting MORE VOTES at our EXPENSE !
  • http://Therightwinger.com Gary adwar
    Love the video commentary on SOTU. Thanks
  • 2forEnglish
    As others have already pointed out……………while reading this piece I found myself in absolute agreement with the fact that Obama is continually spreading false information to THE MASSES – yet one word kept flashing NEON in my mind: “LIAR”….. “LIAR”…… “LIAR”…..
    This is NOT about “denial” and “delusions”! This is about what it has ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT with Barrack Hussein Obama…………… telling the ignorant, frustrated, self-entitled, “criminally unaware while remaining as lazy as possible”, AMERICAN IDIOTS……………what THEY want to hear!!! These IDIOTS – by the way……….come from all different social classes, backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, races, sexual preference pools, etc. – and usually self-identify as LIBERALS.
    I find it astounding that even through this obvious economic crisis – ANY AMERICAN would believe a word of it! Even more discouraging………..as recently as 2 days ago (pre State of The Union Address), a Quinnipiac University poll asked “The Public” whom they thought – “would do a better job at recovering the economy – The Democrats or the Republicans?”…….. FORTY SEVEN PERCENT said The Democrats!!!! They did not mention what the “other 53%” had to say ……………….still, I find this DISGUSTING and I feel hopeless about the future of this country. WHY? Because I believe that the future of this country depends on “The People” more than the politicians and if “The People” keep these tyrants in office AND they think and BELIEVE that America is ………”In Great Shape” and on the “Upswing” – we are destined to plummet even further down to Hell.
    I live in a “Blue” state and because of this………….I am TRULY living in “Obama’s America”………….. and I absolutely can not stomach the ignorance around me any longer! My husband and I will be relocating to a “Swing State” as soon as we can, for we are at the mercy of a state government that is loving and compassionate to drug dealers, lazy thugs, and “self-entitled government defrauding” criminals………….. while treating “the struggling yet law abiding” citizens like the most hated of criminals! I could go on and on………..and I could tell you specifics of what goes on here…………….alas – that is for another post……………… For now I will just say that my state has suffered devastation at the hands of two storms and the POTUS has lied to this country about his support for this state – and the people of this country STILL …………believe him. Those who have come from other states to help have been TURNED AWAY – due to “bureaucracy” and “red tape” (UNION pressure, intimidation, and ultimately REJECTION of the help) – that Obama said would NOT BE A FACTOR. Also……….one of these storms is a snow storm. This is New England and THIS SHOULD NOT BE THE DISASTER it has become! Three or four feet of snow versus the usual two feet of snow – SHOULD NOT BE DEVASTATING this state the way it has. This is about MONEY, INCOMPETENCY, LAZINESS, and the intentional refusal to use all snow plows and man-power – UNTIL THE FEDERAL GOV. guarantees $$$$! This is DISGUSTING and anyone who lives here and doesn’t realize what the real story IS………………is a complete moron! This is a RICH state and there is no legitimate reason for three/four feet of snow in ANY New England state – to cause devastation of this magnitude.
    Sad but True. Unfortunately the uninformed ignorant person will not understand a word of Wayne’s rant.
    • Texas Ride
      Somehow it just doesn’t makes sense to allow an idiot to vote because of where he was geographically “hatched.”
      Voters should have to meet some qualifications before being allowed to vote. At least they should be able to read, write, and speak the National language. They should prove citizenship with a real birth certificate (even though the illegal in the oval office doesn’t have to have one to run the country.) How about having a highschool diploma before being allowed to vote. Most importantly, no one living off the taxpayers should be allowed to vote.
      • Steve9515
        Responding to Texas Ride
        Most of your suggestions would be a violation of the constitution. The one about proving citizenship has got to be strengthened and enforced. From our beginnings this has been a problem; there are always political factions that will try to increase their votes through slipping non-citizens into the poles. In my county illegals are privileged to so many government funded programs like free education, food stamps, health care, and housing vouchers as long as they can produce a utility bill in their name. Once they have a baby, and an address the only thing they can’t do is vote. But by then there are more opportunities to get around the voter fraud prevention measures.
        I do like your suggestion on lousing your right to vote if you go on welfare. One would surrender the right to vote upon becoming a dependent of the state. I wounder if this would be constitutional? People on welfare will by nature want to stay on welfare and people who want to go on welfare once the become adults will want to vote to keep welfare money flowing. So when they turn 18 they will start voting for the candidates offering them the best deal. It has often been predicted that democracies will ultimately fail when enough people vote to keep receiving entitlements.
        Any comments on the constitutionality of this idea?
        PS, could you guys stop ranting on each other and calling each other names and made better comments.
      • Texas Ride
        Steve, voting should not be a “right” just because an illegal mother managed to illegally drop her kid on this side of the border.
        There should be no such thing as “anchor babies” no other country bestows citizenship in this kind of situation. It has gotten so crazy that the libs don’t even want people that are here illegally, to be called “illegal.” These people are not “undocumented” they have broken our laws and they are “illegal aliens.” Liberalism is a Mental Disease because people afflicted refuse to acknowledge reality and insist that an imaginary world exists.
        If someone tries to vote that can’t speak, read and write in English, we can assume they are not Americans and didn’t go the a local neighborhood school. why are they voting.
        No one should walk across the border and vote the next day! But, in our screwed-up politically correct, fantasyland, it is done in every election.
        As for medicaid, If someone doesn’t have the mental ability to support themselves, and are “wards of the State,” why are they voting. Everyone that votes should have some “skin in the game” and live under the same laws. These useless people are won over by the “highest bidder” so they can vote themselve more free money. Why should these incompetents vote to raise taxes on the rest of us.
        They need to get off the welfare roles if they want the same “rights” everyone else. Why should we pay higher taxes to support 50% of the people in this country that don’t have to pay taxes. When a nation of people learn that they can vote themselves money and benefits, that nation crumbles.
        Libs are so concerned about “fairness,” what is fair about incompetent people, that can’t run their own lives, being able to vote higher taxes on the rest of us .What is “fair” about a foreigner walking across the border and voting in our elections the next day.
        As for the constitutionality of it all…
        One…Taking money from one group to give to another group is “unconstitutiional” Welfare is unconstitutional and not within the power of government. So, these Socialist programs should never have been made laws. Get rid of these programs, they are unconstitutional.
        Two,.. Most of what government does is unconstitutionals. We must get rid of all the unconstitutional laws that government has made, and get rid of all our “unconstitiutional” lawmakers that are holding offices of power.
        Three… it is U.S. Citizens that have the right to voting privileges, not illegal foreigners. We must enforce those laws. It is not the job of government to give away rights that belong only to American citizens.Everyday, government ignores the Constitution and makes up their own ideas about how the country should be run.This has to be stopped.
        • George E
          Texas,
          I agree with you 100%. I guess that’s because we’re both from Texas……ha.
          Regarding illegal immigrants and the liberals/Democrat’s support for letting them come in and have babies, vote, etc, do you think they’d hold the same views if these people tended to vote Republican? I don’t think so. Talk about citizen boarder patrols and building fences????????? Given the liberal’s tendency to spend our money on useless federal programs, you have never seen a fence so high or so well armed (if they voted Republican)……. If liberals really feel strong about bringing in immigrants, here’s an idea, let’s bring in immigrants from Asia and former Communist countries who are educated, middle/upper economic class and entrepreneurs because they can actually help our economy, and by the way, tend to vote Republican……………….. I don’t have a problem letting workers come into the country on a legal green card to work, so long as they actually work and pay required taxes to pay for their use of our infrastructure, don’t suck our social programs dry, don’t participate in criminal activities, don’t vote in our elections, aren’t given US driver’s licenses (International driver’s licenses can/should be issued instead), and go home at some point, or apply for American citizenship and get approved to stay here as a citizen. I am violently opposed to giving citizenship to people who come here illegally, or overstay their visas, or are born on our territory to non-US citizens. That’s crazy and just begs for more illegal activity of this sort. Just look what’s going on now and how we’ve been treating these people. I’m not a brain surgeon, but I can see that. Why can’t the liberals see it? Maybe because they don’t want to because they currently benefit from running our business this way. Well that ain’t American if you ask me.
          I just got through watching another UTube interview with Milton Friedman back in 1999. He talks about some of the things I think you’re concerned about. Maybe this will cheer you up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlNxIc9gUMc
      Illinois has one in three people living in poverty. Why worry “about the world” we can’t take care of our own!
      Chicago is following in the footsteps of Detroit, soon to be a wasteland. Liberal States are all soon to become wastelands.. They can’t function without our conservative money.
      Liberalism is unsustainable!
    It is you, Wayne, who is in denial.
    1) We are not in a Great Depression
    2) We are not $100 million in debt
    Many of those leaving comments consider anyone who can string two or more grammatically correct sentences together an elitist.
    It must be tough for you to live in an evidence-based society where you can be instantly fact checked.
    U.S. Army Vet (1969-’71)
    • Patriot
      What he is referring to, Mick, is the unfunded liabilities that are never counted as a part of the debt. There are more than 90 trillion dollars in those unfunded liabilities. He is also referring to the economy that shrunk last month to -1%. He is also referring to the fact that for the first time in our history, the deficit is more than the GDP. He is also referring to the fact that the actual unemployment numbers for the nation are over 15%. 1 in 6 children in this country live in poverty. The middle class has lost 40% of their wealth in the past 4 years. There are 47 million people on food stamps. We have 16 trillion dollars in debt that doesn’t include unfunded liabilities. The board of trustees at the Social Security Administration as well as the Board at Medicare, have both delivered reports to the GAO that say the programs are unsustainable and will soon collapse. Those facts alone are enough to support the notion of a depression, rather than a simple recession. The biggest difference is that in 1929, there was no massive government entitlement system so the effects of the depression were more evident than they are now. Whether this is Bush’s fault, or those vile conservatives or not, the current administration has no plans to recover this economy. What I have said here, and what Wayne has said here are FACTS. Those are not opinions. Continuing the angry, emotionally based game of blame will only hasten the destruction of what remains of our economy, and our republic.
      • Texas Ride
        Patriot, good job. It is so easy to baffle these delusional, dysfuntional libs with the facts. They don’t understand why people talk about facts, after all, they live in “Fairy Fantasy Land.” Facts mean nothing to them!
        Seems our entire government lives, in FFL.
    Social Secruity was never designed to work as OUR social Security. It was designed as nothing more than a cover up for a TAX! It does not matter what they call it, they used it all up and then some! SS will never be anything more than what it is and that will not last much longer as soon as Obama finds a way to get rid of it.
    Get a grip people, demand town hall meetings with you elected officals and make them understand how serious you are about change. If they will not do as you wish….. get rid of them and let them know that!
    Until you take control, they will continue to lie to you to stay in office. Think about it…. they make it easy to vote them in. Wham… Bam, you fill in the blanks on the ballot and the next day their IN!!!
    Now, try to get them OUT. Well, did you??? Go ahead try. They are not held accountable for one damn thing. Until we change the law and the way our elected officials operate, you will get more of the same crap they hand us.
    Someone said recently that our military personel have to put their life on the line to protect America and put in 20 years to get retirement. Our elected officials spend one term, just one damn term and we pay for them including medical for the rest of their life. You and I did not vote for this, THEY did it themselves along with pay raises and GOD knows what else they screwed us for.
    Bitching about this will not stop nor deter them. Until you push back, and I mean PUSH BACK, our elected officials will continue to ruin our country. Collectively both parties had ruined our country and now it is time to TAKE IT BACK!!
    Dear Wayne Allyn Root: What are your policy suggestions to solve the federal
    deficit and pay down the national debt? What are your policy suggestions to
    increase employment, cut inflation to a real 2%, and to make the U.S. energy independent?
    How would you revise the US Tax Code? What do you suggest to improve negro and
    hispanic improvement in elementary and high school education? What do you
    suggest to improve access to and quality of health care in the U.S.? What do you
    suggest to make university education affordable to all? What do you suggest we
    do with 12 million illegal immigrants and the mexican border?
    You have made clear your disagreement with Mr. Obama’s policies.
    Post your policy recommendations so we can see your better idea.
    Apparently no problem with billions of dollars of tax breaks to the big oil companies (who rip us off) but paying a worker an extra buck and half per hour can’t be tolerated. Amazing! And pathetically sad.
      Baaaaa! Baaaaa! Baaaaa! Baaaaa! Baaaaa! It seems that you do not understand. If you raise the minimum wage, you also increase the line between the working class and middle class. Like if I needed to earn $30,000 a year to be middle class, when you raise the minimum wage I may have to earn $40,000 – $45,000 a year to be considered middle class. Just another way to wipe out the middle class. It is all part of Obama bib Laden’s plan to destroy this country from the inside out. Here is something showing that, once again, Obama bin Laden lied about Benghazi:
            Yo George,
            On a web site called personal liberty digest, don’t we respect the first amendment?
            While Larry does press the limits of decorum, what about the abundance of those on the opposite side who spew hate and racism? even you have made some disparaging comments about the president of the United States? While I did not vote for him, I refer to him as President Obama-as he was elected by the majority twice and the first time by 5%.
            While “W” will tie President Obama for worse president, I refered to “W” as Presisdent George W Bush. Only President Jimmy Carter is Happy to come in at third place.
            “We the people” includes all people from Larry to the those who disagree with him on the right and those of us in between.
          • George E
            Bob,
            Everyone has a right to their opinions, even on sites like this. I expect those who don’t identify as “ultra-conservatives” to visit and participate in the discussion. That’s healthy. But when someone other than a conservative camps out on this site, continually incites name calling and constantly makes derogatory remarks to the conservatives here, I think that’s over the line. Nothing of value can be achieved through participation like that. Someone needs to draw a line as to what is acceptable discussion and what is not. I’m just expressing one person’s opinion. I’ll continue to visit this site for awhile, but if participants can’t observe some semblance of civility, I’ll find another site to participate. Frankly, I don’t like it when participants on the right act like that either, but this is a conservative site, so I’d give them some leeway. I can not understand why non-conservatives would spend so much time here simply disrupting the discussion. It is, at a minimum, childish and unprofessional behavior.
          • Bob666
            Yo George,
            “It is, at a minimum, childish and unprofessional behavior”.
            On that, we are in agreement. The sad thing is; it accomplishes nothing and I’m not sure if it helps anyone in the debate. There are sever people who might have a good point to make, but after reading a sentance or two of name calling and back biting-most people move to the next thread and iqnore them.
          • George E
            Yeah, that’s exactly what I do. Take care.
          • Bob666
            Yo Salacious B. Crumb,
            That’s not all I have, But all I have for you. I deal with the court, not the court Jester.
          • sam1966
      Kimo: Bob 666 hit the nail on the head in saying the majority of posters display constant anger which to me takes away any rational reasoning. They have a strong belief that someone is coming to get them and are always fearful. Several commentors can’t stay on topic or answer the questions posed to them. Maybe the left does it too but it so darn glaring on this site and mostly coming from the right.
    This president is the worst I’ve seen in my lifetime which exceeds 60+ years. Evidence is his constant BS we listened to during the past campaign. No one making less than $250,000 will not get a tax increase. Funny, my paycheck was reduced by 2% for an increase in Social Security Tax. Mind you, I don’t mind paying since I do collect S.S. in addition to hard earned pensions in private industry along with my current job. It’s necessary to keep the system going for those collecting, those about to collect, and for our children & grandchildren. What bothers is that it was never mentioned. People not informed should be angry about the bold face lies of this president. He pathetic.
  • http://omanuel.wordpress.com/about omanuel
    Since Climategate in 2009 I have gone back and examined closely historical events at the end of Second World War (1945-1946) when George Orwell was dying of tuberculosis and frantically writing “1984″ [1], while Fred Hoyle was writing two papers [2] that became the foundation of the SSM (standard solar model of H-filled stars).
    http://omanuel.wordpress.com/about/#comment-2204
    Fred Hoyle himself later admitted that:
    _ a.) Fred Hoyle, Sir Arthur Eddington, and all other astronomers and astrophysicists in their circle of acquaintances at Cambridge University believed the the interior of the Sun was mostly iron (Fe) during WWII
    _ b.) Fred Hoyle’s two 1946 papers were adopted without debate or discussion and later became the foundation of the SSM (standard solar model of hydrogen-filled stars).
    Today I seek help finding a different interpretation for those historical events other than the emergence of a tyrannical world government in 1945 that purposely hid the source of energy in Atomic bombs, nuclear reactors, stars and AGN (active galactic nuclei) by promoting the SSM illusion of hydrogen-filled stars.
    Here are the policies I suggest for the United States:
    1. End federal involvement in welfare, food stamps,housing assistance, etc.
    State and local governments can do this much better.
    2. End federal involvement in education at all levels. Local and state
    governments can do this much better for pre-school-high school
    and community college and universities.
    3. Make legal immigration easy and quick. Place no limits on visas for
    people to work in U.S. in high tech and also in agricultural work.
    Legalize 12,000,000 illegal immigrants but never give them citizenship
    or the vote.
    4. Abolish Obamacare.
    5. 20% flat tax for individual, corporate,farm,investment, dividend, capital
    gains income. No deductions,credits, exemptions,exclusions.
    6.Make all income subject to social security/medicare witholdings.
    .
    7.Repair and rebuild our infrastructure of roads, highways,bridges,ports,
    airports, railroads, water and sewage systems, oil and gas pipelines,
    electric power generation and transmission systems.
    8.Abolish the Community Reinvestment Act and all of the revisions and
    changes made to it.
    Here’s why: Federal involvement in welfare, food stamps, housing, and
    education is basicly sending a check to the states and local governments.
    Why not let the local and state governments fund this stuff according to
    their localized needs? They would certainly have the motivation to audit
    and control the programs to eliminate waste and fraud.
    Legal immigration is made tremendously difficult and long. Those doing it
    legally should be rewarded with citizenship and the vote . Those doing
    it illegally should never get citizenship or the vote, but should get permanent
    residency and taxation without representation. That is the penalty of their
    crime.
    There is no reason for Obamacare. A small percentage of the population lacked health
    insurance before it, mostly the young and healthy. All Obamacare is doing is
    increasing revenues for healthcare providers by forcing people to buy health
    insurance.
    A 20% corporate tax will make the U.S. competitive with other countries that
    are taking U.S. jobs overseas with their lower corporate taxes. A 20% US
    corporate tax rate will increase industrial,manufacturing, and technological
    jobs in the US and more corporate income tax revenues than the current mess.
    Making all income subject to social security/medicare witholding taxes doubles
    the revenues for those programs and is much fairer to all taxpayers and makes
    the programs solvent.
    A world class infrastructure system will provide the same explosive benefits to
    our economy and society that the Interstate highway system did.
    The January 1995 revisions to The Community Reinvestment Act of the seventies
    MADE financial institutions make sub prime loans. The government caused the
    economic and housing crisis, not wall street.
Get rid of the welfare state, Obama bin Laden Care, and only go strictly by the Constitution. Since the first 2 are unconstitutional, this should be a no brainer to get rid of them.       You have made a lot of good points and I would have to say that I agree with most of them, except that turning over many of these programs to the States is bad in one respect. Instead of decisions and laws being passed for local situations, it seems that state laws are being run on partisan lines, For example the laws of abortion, ultra sounds, union rules, voting rules, etc. If one party gets in to power they seem to get laws passed that suit the party. Look at Michigan that had an unpopular law that allows the state to dissolve any city government at their whim. The state was against this and protested the first law, only to have it rammed down their throats. Laws that should pertain to all Americans should be established by the feds. Laws and programs that deal with local issues should be run at the state level.
      Voting regulations should be common for the whole country and state governors like Gov. Scott, in Florida should not be able to prevent people from voting for political reasons. Some things should be common for all Americans, and local state governments try to circumvent that.
      The other point that I disagree with is keeping the status quo with health care. Instead of helping more people pay more for insurance and get more expensive insurance, you need to take the profit out of the big HMO’s, more in line with the rest of the world. We need to not get more insurance to pay these exorbitant rates, we need to get lower health costs. The US system is broken and needs to be changed to the rest of the world.
      the USA health system have too many hands out taking large profits on the expense of someones health. Obama care is no a perfect system, but it is closer to a more universal health system. This works everywhere else in the world.
      regards
        Care to cite a source showing where it is a good thing around the world? Government run healthcare has helped the governments of Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Ireland to go broke. In England, it costs more than 50% of their budget. France isn’t too good either. You are not entitled to anything you don’t earn. We were also founded on the beliefs of self-reliance and personal responsibility. Ergo, they must rely on themselves for health coverage and paying of bills. They must also take 100% responsibility to do the same. It is the American way. Here is something showing how Obama bin Laden wants to kill our economy and make people dependant on government:
    Wayne:
    Cogent analysis, except for the why part. What appears to be denial and delusion is actually not incompetent / crazy. This is true Marxism and hatred of America.
    Remember that our president is a student of Marx. Marxism always fails you say, hasn’t he grown up yet, or, doesn’t he know better by now? Oh yeah. Engels was a textile magnate who employed slave labor and was a benefactor to Marx. Together they promoted Marx’ “plan”, and pandered to whatever group seemed likely to place Marx in positions of influence. It was all a sham from the beginning. The argument is merely envy, commonly called class warfare.
    You see Marxism is intended to create chaos and privation. Marx and Engels wrote to each other with glee about this intent as it unfolded. Any serious student of Marx”ism” knows this utility; conditions of chaos and privation open the doorway to power.
    This administration is quite simply evil, purposely evil, evil driven to acquire power, evil with enjoyment of chaos and privation, evil with intent to destroy America.
      Well said fellow patriot. In fact, why don’t everyone look at this video. This is Jonathan Cahn and he gave a speech, along with dropping the gauntlet at Obama bin Laden’s feet. He challenged Obama bin Laden to adhere to the words of Abraham Lincoln and our Christian founding fathers.
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9xMxkNR0to
      I can just about imagine the look on Obama bin Laden’s face when he called him out on his challenge. But alas! We all know that Obama bin Laden won’t pick up the gauntlet. He would have to be a man to do it. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!
      IreAmerica, you’re dead right. Obama is an America hater and a racist. I’ve read and heard audio exerpts from his book in which he proclaims Reverand Wright has guided his philosophy which boils down to Black Liberation Theology. Anyone reading this reply can go to this site: http://www.acton.org/pub/commentary/2008/04/02/marxist-roots-black-liberation-theology and there are a host of other sites showing other viewpoints on this religious belief system. Others point out the pure racism of this belief system which does nothing to enlighten mankind but promotes hatred between the races. Enough said. Obama is poison and has mesmorized the uninformed masses with his absolute nonsense. This guy’s a puppet and doesn’t have the talent to make a single speech without stuttering and stammering like an idiot.
    “The great statesman must first mater his own ideas and life, the he should master master his family. After mastering his family he should master his city. After mastering his city then he can mater his state, after mastering his state the great statesman can use his efforts to help the people and become a master of the land.” The Great Learning (5th century BCE) Simply said, he has failed from the get go. BTW master does not carry the same meaning as it does in English, it means more of a caretaker and positive benefactor.
      Can’t fix stupid? Obama’s nonsense has nothing to do with stupid and everything to do with deliberate sabotage.
      But Wayne, if you want to hear about stupid, here it is … complaining about raising the minimum wage without pointing out to whom that applies and what can be done about it. Minimum wage only applies to “employees” which is a specifically defined legal term. No law prevents the private sector from hiring without “employing.” The difference is use of an SSN or socialist slavestate number on the job, 100% voluntary according to the slave enumeration bureau at ssa dot gov, write them and ask they will admit that in writing. The IRS admits that form W-4 is volutary on their website as well. So stupid is corporate Amerika going along to get along and refusing to hire without socialist slavestate numbers getting involved.
      Use an SSN on the job and liability is incurred for FICA, payroll tax, medicare tax, federal income tax, state income tax, local income tax, and Obamacare. SSN use on the job also incurs liability for compliance with minimum wage, equal opportunity employment, maternity leave, overtime regs, OSHA regs, etc.
      Of that 100 trillion debt you spoke of, a great deal of that is unfunded liabiliies for socialistic insecurity.
      Bottom line … there is no such thing as rolling back socialism and restoring our constitutionally limited, Republican form of govt. without uprooting the grand daddy of all socialist programs that all the others tie into via use of a socialist slavestate number, and that is, of course, socialistic insecurity. It must be exposed.
    Well people,guess i’m the last one to comment here.i read as many of these as i could.what you don’t get is,he’s not in denial,he knows what’s going on.he’s doing it on purpose,he needs this country broken and unarmed,and dependent on his gov’t.he is ammune to what we say because he uses it to his advantage,fuel for the progressive machine!he is a insane man that the people have put in power!he has sweet talked his way into the bed of the American people and is raping the people of everything they have and will ever have and most of the people being forced into submission by this man don’t even know it!they are blind!but we are not and that scares him and his henchmen!first you have to know that he knows exactly what he’s doing!don’t let him play dumb and fool you!cause he will bend you over the first chair he see’s!it’s not denial anymore,this is a calculated move,a game if you will,and he’s playing all his race cards and buying up all the property and buildings and building things with the money he got from you!!
    Why would he give 150 million of your money to build a car battery company(for elec cars that don’t sell)just to have it bought by the Chinese!?he just went and saw the landlord,was it a build to suit lease agreement?!!or when he bowed down to a Sheik,one of the riches tyrannical type people on the planet!let the 3rd world countries pollute the hell out of the planet and yet make us feel guilty and put the blame squarely on the shoulders of the US?!
    Maybe he wants his friendly Muslems to live next door to you and be able to follow their laws as they believe is correct and can kill their daughters for wanting to live like a American and not a slave to her father and let him get away with this murder and keep on living next to you,with no fear of being imprisoned!(religouse practices)I wouldn’t want to live next to that!multi-cultural living!?..live next store to a murderer!is that why he doesn’t want us having guns(he knows we would come to the resque if that was going on!oh no!.don’t kill the Muslem that was murdering his daughter!
    Is this why we can’t speak of the catholic religion in schools or public events anymore?oh no,..don’t offend the muslems!!is this why in gov’t forums we don’t start the meeting with the pledge of allegents anymore?Obama gives credit for all we have in this country to the Muslems!he states we owe them everything!Obama praises the Muslem faith,not the christian faith he told us years ago!if we say a word against Mohamad,we are chastized!yet he will slander Jesus and mock God!
    Obama believes that it is the right for him to tell us what to do,his wife(the one with the dew)is telling us what to eat!she hates the flag,she hates this country!(she’s said it in her speeches)they think they know best,and have some right(given to them by,who knows)to kidnap us and detain us indefinetly!-or even murder us!..I know what your thinking,Alwaki got what he deserved!YES he did,but for Obama to not try to capture this monster!that’s what has me peeved!his kid?maybe not so much,i just think Obama got the killing bug with Bin Loddin and was just power mad!he wanted some messed up form of approval from liberals and such!
    there is so much wrong with the man,and no one wants to see it!wake up and smell the coffee America!do your own digging and check out the things i’m saying!it’s all there for you to see,from his own mouth,from her own mouth!
    People,just keep telling others what you know and what you know he’s doing to us and our country,keep your family informed and away from these type of constitutional killing people!your families lives depend on it!!
      John Hawkins: 15 Things That Are Not Okay For Liberals To Do
      So, while everything you’re about to read applies just as much to libertarians, conservatives and moderates as it does to the Left, it’s the liberals who need to hear it because they’re the only mainstream ideology that habitually engages in such uncivilized behavior.
      It’s not okay to…
      1) ….hold a protest at someone’s personal residence. The only reason anyone does that is to send the fascistic message that, “We know where you live and something bad may happen to you and your family if you continue to oppose us.”
      2) ….put the names of gun owners in the paper to make some kind of moral point. It’s even worse to do that and then, when someone returns the favor, hire armed guards to protect your house.
      3) ….suspend a 7 year old from school for tossing, “an imaginary grenade into a box with what he called pretend evil forces inside.”
      4) …suspend kids from school for wearing American flag bandannas and chanting USA, USA, USA.
      5) …accuse people of being racist for political reasons.
      6) ….advocate lying about people who disagree with you to further your political goals.
      7) …abort a child without the permission of the father. If the father is required to support a child after it’s born because it “takes two” — and he should be — then the mother shouldn’t be able to end the life of his child without his agreement.
      8) …publicly celebrate the death or injury of people you disagree with politically.
      9) …call for violence against people you disagree with politically or the destruction of their property.
      10) …try to shout people down at a speech to keep them from being heard or throw glitter, salad dressing, pies, or even pull fire alarms to try to prevent them from being able to exercise their First Amendment rights.
      11) …hack into people’s home computers or email. It’s even worse to do it and distribute what you find to the press.
      12) …take welfare, food stamps, school lunches or anything else that requires you to live off what somebody else has earned without at least feeling some shame for not being able to take care of yourself. It’s even worse when you take people’s charity and then complain about the way you’re being given handouts.
      13) …threaten, bully, personally insult or request that gay Americans commit suicide because they didn’t vote for the candidate you support.
      14) …aim race-based slurs at people you disagree with politically.
      15) …hurl gross sexual insults at conservative women, photoshop them onto pornography, do porno movies featuring actresses pretending to be them, or to talk about how you’d like to “hate f***” them
      I love this, NOW watch the response which will PROVE the Message!!
        What is the tea party about? I thought it was about sheldon addleson and the koch brothers funding a political movement full of ignorant people and geriatric racists in order to subvert the american political system by attempting to buy elections. I thought it was about saying you want smaller gov and then voting for the people who just inflated our federal government. I thought it was about helping politicians who want to lick the boots of their campaign financiers. I am pretty sure it is about tricking honest people into supporting policies that are not to their benefit. In fact I am certain that it is about getting poor people to support tax cuts for millionaires. I know it is about pretending that your side is the only side that loves this country and that the rest of us all want to destroy it because we are godless heathens. I was also under the impression that it was about using words that are outside the limits of ones vocabulary to inaccurately describe events far beyond the scope of ones comprehension, shamelessly misspelled and written on poster board. I was also led to believe that it is about the total disregard for grammar. I am pretty sure it is about making false claims that are easily refuted, and then vehemently denying reality even as it slaps you in the face… If there is anything else to the teaparty I left out it would have to be their simpleton celebrities, whom they use to endorse their moronic agenda. OH YEAH, I left out BIGOTRY. Xenophobic BIGOTRY is the beating heart of the Tea-Party… I am pretty sure that covers most of it.
            You are a Fascist promoting a Theocracy
            True Americans silenced that deluded drivel in Nazi Germany and we are gonna silence you as well..
            It is understandable that many Christian organizations and scholars have tried to paint Hitler in atheist hues since his demise; he’s not exactly a good advertisement for Christianity. But the fact remains that by all the evidence we have available to us, Hitler, himself, considered himself a Christian until the very end of his life. Hitler’s Germany, moreover, adopted a lot of religious positions on the social mores of the day as law. Everything I’ve read about Adolf Hitler leads me, personally, to conclude that he actually did believe, and that he also believed that he was an instrument of Divine power on Earth. Whether this was insanity or religious zealotry (is there a difference?) is insignificant,we all know the end results.
    I dont think its a matter of denial & stupidity, the puppet in chief was placed in the oval office to oversee the destruction of not only our economy, but our culture ,and way of life. He didnt come up with this stuff by himself, its been in the making for a long time.
    • R. Fine
      Who was it, then, that “came up with this stuff”? Who is controlling the so-called puppet-in-chief? This is a very serious contention & I want to know who it is that control the president. Please make your reply very specific. Your comment is so important that the facts behind it must be very clear. We need to know the exact details so that we can take action. Thank you so very much.
        Yo R Fine Don’t hold your breath waiting for facts, he will have to make them up.
    I have been reading Larry’s insipid and ridiculous far reaching posts here where he takes the most extreme examples of some of the dumbest things a small portion of Conservatives have said, and used them as a yardstick for an entire group of people and presented them as the entirety of the Conservative ideology. He has made the usual and predictable attacks of racism ad nauseum. He presents it as if in order to support a conservative ideal, the prerequisites require that you are a bigot, a religious nut, that you hate the poor, that you are white and rich – the typical litany of utter nonsense that we see spewed every day by those incapable of rational or individual thought. He is so filled with anger that if there is any actual intelligence in there, it is obscured entirely by his rage. So in response to the list that he loves to repost of some of the most ridiculous statements made by some ‘conservatives’, I have decided to post some of my own favorite moments of complete stupidity from his own heroes.
    Jenny Erikson
    (Editor’s note: Whatever your political beliefs, we can all agree that people say the dumbest things. Below you’ll find some some stupid liberal quotes put together by Jenny Erikson. For equally stupid — and funny — statements made by their conservative counterparts, read the Top 50 Dumbest Conservative Quotes.)
    Without much preamble and hardly any ado, I present to you 50 dumb quotes from those on the left side of the aisle. From crazy ideas about toilet paper usage to freak-outs over balloons, this list will make you laugh and shake your head in disbelief (and maybe even vote Republican in November?).
    1. Sheryl Crow on Environmentalism: “I propose a limitation be put on how many sqares [sic] of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting. Now, I don’t want to rob any law-abiding American of his or her God-given rights, but I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required.’”
    2. Joe Biden on culturalism: “In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”
    3. Whoopi Goldberg on 43-year-old Roman Polanski raping and sodomizing a 13-year-old girl: “I know it wasn’t rape-rape. It was something else but I don’t believe it was rape-rape. He went to jail and and [sic] when they let him out he was like “You know what this guy’s going to give me a hundred years in jail I’m not staying, so that’s why he left.”
    4. Joy Behar on Economics: “Isn’t it a little racist to call it Black Friday?”
    5. John Conyers on the Health Care Bill, which he voted for: “I love these members, they get up and say, ‘Read the bill … What good is reading the bill if it’s a thousand pages and you don’t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?’”
    6. Former DNC Chairman Donald Fowler on possible delay of RNC convention due to Hurricane Gustav: “Plus they think the hurricane’s going to hit (starts laughing) New Orleans about the time they start. The timing, at least it appears now, that it’ll be there Monday. That just demonstrates God’s on our side”
    7. Barack Obama: “I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go?”
    8. John Kerry on the troops: “You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”
    9. Howard Dean: “We know that no one person can succeed unless everybody else succeeds.”
    10. Rosie O’Donnell: “Don’t fear the terrorists. They’re mothers and fathers.”
    11. Al Gore: “During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet.”
    12. Congressman Hank Johnson on Guam: “My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize,”
    13. Alan Grayson on Health Care: “The Republican health care plan: don’t get sick … The Republicans have a back up plan in case you do get sick … This is what the Republicans want you to do. If you get sick America, the Republican health care plan is this: Die quickly!”
    14. Nancy Pelosi on the economy: “every month that we do not have an economic recovery package 500 million Americans lose their jobs.”
    15. Helen Thomas: Jews should “get the hell out of Palestine” and “go home” to Germany and Poland.
    16. Wanda Sykes: “I think Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker but he was just so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight … Rush Limbaugh — I hope the country fails. I hope his kidneys fail, how about that? He needs a waterboarding, that’s what he needs.”
    17. Bill Clinton on ordinary Americans: “African Americans watch the same news at night that ordinary Americans do.”
    18. Barack Obama on a tornado that killed twelve people: “In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died – an entire town destroyed”
    19. Harry Reid on Iraq: “This war is lost and the surge is not accomplishing anything.”
    20. Kanye West: “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”
    21. Joe Biden on the economy: “The number one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S.”
    22. Bill Maher on Christianity: “I think religion is a neurological disorder.
    23. Joe Biden on History: “When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, ‘Look, here’s what happened.”
    24. Ted Rall: “Over time, however, the endless war in Iraq began to play a role in natural selection. Only idiots signed up; only idiots died. Back home, the average I.Q. soared.”
    25. Michael Moore on terrorism: “There is no terrorist threat. Yes, there have been horrific acts of terrorism and, yes, there will be acts of terrorism again. But that doesn’t mean that there’s some kind of massive terrorist threat.”
    26. Henry Waxman on Environmentalism: “We’re seeing the reality of a lot of the North Pole starting to evaporate, and we could get to a tipping point. Because if it evaporates to a certain point – they have lanes now where ships can go that couldn’t ever sail through before. And if it gets to a point where it evaporates too much, there’s a lot of tundra that’s being held down by that ice cap.”
    27. Marion Barry, former mayor of Washington, DC: “If you take out the killings, Washington actually has a very very low crime rate.”
    28. California Senator Barbara Boxer: “Those who survived the San Francisco earthquake said, ‘Thank God, I’m still alive.’ But, of course, those who died, their lives will never be the same again.”
    29. Wesley Bolin, former governor of Arizona: “We’d like to avoid problems, because when we have problems, we can have troubles.”
    33. Bill Clinton: “It all depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.”
    35. Democratic Convention producer Don Mischer, overheard on CNN having an apoplectic seizure when the balloons failed to drop from the ceiling of the Fleet Center in Boston: “Go, balloons. I don’t see anything happening. Go, balloons. Go, balloons. Go, balloons. Stand by, confetti. Keep coming, balloons. More balloons. Bring them. Balloons, balloons, balloons! More balloons. Tons of them. Bring them down. Let them all come. No confetti. No confetti yet. No confetti. All right. Go, balloons. Go, balloons. We’re getting more balloons. All balloons. All balloons should be going. Come on, guys! Let’s move it. Jesus! We need more balloons. I want all balloons to go. Go, confetti. Go, confetti. Go, confetti. I want more balloons. What’s happening to the balloons? We need more balloons. We need all of them coming down. Go, balloons. Balloons. What’s happening balloons? There’s not enough coming down. All balloons! Why the hell is nothing falling? What the f— are you guys doing up there? We want more balloons coming down. More balloons. More balloons.”
    38. Joe Biden, on the mother of Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen, who is, in fact, still alive: “His mom lived in Long Island for ten years or so. God rest her soul. And- although, she’s- wait- your mom’s still- your mom’s still alive. Your dad passed. God bless her soul.”
    39. Al Gore on zoology: “A zebra does not change its spots.”
    40. Rod Blagojevich, former governor of IL: “I’m blacker than Barack Obama. I shined shoes. I grew up in a five-room apartment. My father had a little laundromat in a black community not far from where we lived. I saw it all growing up.”
    41. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz on the newly passed health care law: “We actually have not required in this law that you carry health insurance.”
    42. Congressman John Dingell on freedom: “The harsh fact of the matter is when you’re passing legislation that will cover 300 million American people in different ways, it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people.”
    43. Former Congressman Eric Massa: “Now, they’re saying I groped a male staffer. Yes, I did. Not only did I grope him, I tickled him until he couldn’t breathe and four guys jumped on top of me. It was my 50th birthday.”
    49. Nancy Pelosi on legislation: “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.”
    50. Joe Biden to Missouri State Senator Chuck Graham, who is wheelchair bound: “stand up … Chuck, stand up, Chuck, let ‘em see you!”
    Larry has absolutely nothing to bring to the conversation. He will ignore facts ( as he has time and again ) to support his position, which he is incapable of making clear. My suggestion is to recognize that he is basically a pissed off child throwing tantrum after tantrum. And like a child, his main tactic is to resort to name calling and accusations of bigotry. Larry is to be disregarded after been amused by his public displays of ignorance and stupidity.
    Larry, be quiet. The grownups are talking here.
        Larry, so far as I can tell, I haven’t identified myself with a party or an ideology at all. You are making assumptions, followed by incredibly asinine statements. I haven’t made any attacks on anyone. I haven’t supported nor refuted any of the litany of crap you have posted here. So again, you prove my point for me. And you will continue to do so. Your attachment to your ideology demonstrates the problem with our entire country. Ideology over ideas. Anger over substance. Your posts are condescending and arrogant and do nothing to enlighten or enliven our national discourse. You post like an angry child that has found his dads gun.
        Again, I have no more use for you. There are plenty of people on this board with whom I may disagree, but are capable of lucid and thoughtful presentations of their ideas. You not only have no ideas, but are incapable of either lucidity, or thoughtfulness.
          Once again you have proven how childish and less intelligent you can be. You sound like a kid and not a grown up. I shall refrain from answering this post, as I would take a chance on being banned. Sorry Patriot, but we were founded a Christian nation. Not how Larry says it, but on Christian principles, Biblical law taken directly for the Old and New Testiments, our laws based on the 10 Commandments (Since the 5th column doesn’t know these things, they know nothing about our founding.), and a deep, rich belief in nature and nature’s God. Since all of our founding fathers were Christians and believed in God, Jesus, and the Bible, then this nation would be founded on the beliefs that they shared. Nothing else. The is an undeniable fact of history. Of the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence, 29 of them held seminary or Bible school degrees. Both Crhistians and non-Christians throughout the ages realize that the Christian faith provides the only foundation needed for nations to be free, and to retain our God-given liberty. Lastly, since the signers of the Declaration of Independence were eith President’s or members of of the United Bible Society, it would be preposterous to believe they wanted to form a nation void of the Christian principles which they themselves believed in. We were not founded a secular state, but a Christian nation. Here are some things that you could look at.
          lawandliberty.org/history1.htm
          faithfacts.org/christ-and-the-culture/the-bible-and-government
          These show that our founders took our principles from the Old Testiment. You can also look at this video of a Rabbi giving a speech at the Natonal Prayer Breakfast, burying Obama bin Laden.
          youtube.com/watch?v=S9xMxkNR0to
          He tells it like it is about how God is bringing judgement on this nation, just like he did Israel, when they turned their backs on God. This is what is happening to our country today, because we have not only turned our backs on God, but have not followed the Christian prinicples and beliefs that our Christian founding fathers used to form this nation. We were made to be the Biblical city upon a hil, but we have been backsliding, due to libturds, progturd, secularists, humanists, atheists,in other words, the 5th column, who seeks to turn our Christian founded nation into a socialist state. Here is a site that shows how Bible education is coming back into public school classrooms. It has been approved in thousands of public schools across 38 states. Even Texas and Alabama are making it required for graduation purposes.
          http://www.bibleinschools.net
          Lastly, here is a speech by a great American about what we should do to the 5th column and other enemies of the state, both foreign and domestic.
          youtube.com/watch?v=9b5g1avyCSA
          Sorry for not putting the “www.” on many of my sites, but I did not want to face moderation and have a chance of it being not posted. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!
          You need both love of country and faith in God to be a patriot. This leaves Larry out.
          “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded assylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.”
          Patrick Henry
          March 23, 1775
          *This quote should just sum everything up.
          • Patriot
            Again, Sam, I am going to disagree.
            The principals of this nation were founded on philosophy from Plato, De Tocqueville, John Locke, and Aristotle, among others.
            Jefferson got a classical education and studied philosophy from the age of 10. He also read the works of John Locke – a Treatise on Government, specifically. It was Locke that derived the idea that all men were created equal, and that we were simply born with the rights that were guaranteed by our Constitution. Locke was a student of classical philosophy as well, and garnered this idea from the work of Aristotle.
            I have a degree in Constitutional history. I have read so many different interpretations by Christian organizations, like the ones you just provided, that seek to strengthen their position by interpreting history like that. And I understand by your posts that you have great faith, which I appreciate and respect.
            However, Larry presented historical documents here that were directly taken from the words of the founders, not an interpretation or religious conjecture. In this nation, you have the right to your Christian beliefs. Just like Larry can be just as much of a patriot without them. However difficult this may be for you, the facts are that this nation was founded on principals that came from many different philosophical sources, and while that includes Christianity, it is not exclusive to Christianity.
          • Bob666
            Yo SamuriSchizophrenic1966,
            We were made to be the Biblical city upon a hill, but we have been backsliding, due to libturds, progturd, secularists, humanists, atheists,in other words, the 5th column, who seeks to turn our Christian founded nation into a socialist state
            let’s review:
            You think that you know what our founding father thought, but no one does.
            Based on that, you cherry pick history to push your agenda.
            While you are correct the majority were Christians, over 2/3 were also Masons.
            The Masonic view of god is far more general that your opinion-and that is all it is just that- an opinion.
            The first amendment is quite clear-it there is no state sponsored religion-for a reason, our founding fathers saw the tyranny of organized religion in Europe at the time-Crusades-Inquisitions, Spain, etc.
            Jesus is not mentioned anywhere in the constitution-that is a fact.
            I can get over your over-bearing need to shove your version of faith down everyone throat, but you inference of who is a patriot and your hate based gesture towards race and sexual preference are very sad.
            Perhaps you need to go back and read the Bible again-you obviously missed something-actually a great deal.
        • Patriot
          You love to tout approval ratings as some sort of yardstick in regards to the quality of leadership we are getting. Honestly, it just shows the ignorance and stupidity of most Americans. Ronald Regan had a 68% approval rating in 1986. George W. Bush had a 90% approval rating in 2001. Hitler enjoyed an approval rating of 90% plus during the economic recovery of Germany. He knew, as do our politicians, the value of distraction, deception, coercion, and demagoguery. The frog is slowly coming to a boil in this nation. And you can continue to hate ‘tea nuts’ and the like, and in so doing, be completely blinded and manipulated by those you seem to support so vehemently. That is your choice.
          You and I crossed swords earlier about what it is that I believe, and of course, you made your assumptions. So I will make it clear – both parties, and all major ideologies are destructive, invasive, and are responsible for the utter devastation of our republic, and not one is more or less responsible than the other. We hire stupid, incompetent, greedy thugs to run our country, and they have run it into the ground. The collapse of our economy is a mathematical certainty, not an angry partisan theory. I have a feeling when our economy runs into the inevitable hyperinflation, then the massive deflation and devaluation, followed by the dollar being downgraded from the world’s reserve currency, all of this inane partisan left/right tea nut/libtard [expletive deleted] will suddenly become somehow not so important anymore. This country is run by fools, but the greater fools are the fools that believe in them.
        Founding Fathers views on religion
        Ive been getting into a few debates recently on the idea that america is a christian nation. it seems a few people say that if your not a christian you ought to not be here. well this is what i have to say to that absurd statement.
        United States Constitution:
        The First Amendment
        “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion…”
        Article VI, Section 3
        “…no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.”
        John Adams (the second President of the United States):
        Adams signed the Treaty of Tripoli (June 7, 1797). Article 11 states:
        “The government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion.”
        From a letter to Charles Cushing (October 19, 1756):
        “Twenty times in the course of my late reading, have I been upon the point of breaking out, ‘this would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it.’”
        From a letter to Thomas Jefferson:
        “I almost shudder at the thought of alluding to the most fatal example of the abuses of grief which the history of mankind has preserved — the Cross. Consider what calamities that engine of grief has produced!”
        Additional quotes from John Adams:
        “Where do we find a precept in the Bible for Creeds, Confessions, Doctrines and Oaths, and whole carloads of trumpery that we find religion encumbered with in these days?”
        “The Doctrine of the divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity.”
        “…Thirteen governments [of the original states] thus founded on the natural authority of the people alone, without a pretence of miracle or mystery, and which are destined to spread over the northern part of that whole quarter of the globe, are a great point gained in favor of the rights of mankind.”
        Thomas Jefferson (the third President of the United States):
        Jefferson’s interpretation of the first amendment in a letter to the Danbury Baptist Association (January 1, 1802):
        “Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legislative powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,’ thus building a wall of separation between church and State.”
        From Jefferson’s biography:
        “…an amendment was proposed by inserting the words, ‘Jesus Christ…the holy author of our religion,’ which was rejected ‘By a great majority in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and the Mohammedan, the Hindoo and the Infidel of every denomination.’”
        Jefferson’s “The Statute of Virginia for Religious Freedom”:
        “Our civil rights have no dependence on our religious opinions, more than on our opinions in physics and geometry….The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.”
        From Thomas Jefferson’s Bible:
        “The day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the Supreme Being as his father, in the womb of a virgin, will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter.”
        Jefferson’s Notes on Virginia:
        “Reason and persuasion are the only practicable instruments. To make way for these free inquiry must be indulged; how can we wish others to indulge it while we refuse ourselves? But every state, says an inquisitor, has established some religion. No two, say I, have established the same. Is this a proof of the infallibility of establishments?”
          Wrong, wrong, wrong Larry Fairy. You take everything out of context and misinterpret everything you have posted. I have no time to educate you and make you look really ignorant, not that you don’t sound ignorant now, but I’ll be back tomorrow to educate you. You get an “F” in class today. Here is something dealing with Obama bin Laden Care:
          http://www.thenewamerican.com/world-news/europe/item/14489-british-hospital-patients-dying-in-droves-from-lack-of-care
          They didn’t care about religion? How would this be possible when Jefferson was pushing the evangilizing of the Indians, they were presidents or members of the American Bible Society, went to church, believed in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit? Neeeeed to do better than those select choices of yours. Why don’t you look at what Jefferson wrote in his “NOTES ON RELIGION” in 1776. I guarantee it’ll be different than what you have posted. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!
          You need both love of country and faith in God to be a patriot. This leaves you out.
          “If we did a good act merely from love of God and a belief that it is pleasing to Him, whence arises the morality of the atheist? Their virtue then, must of had some other foundation than the love of God.”
          Thomas Jefferson
          *Even Jefferson had a distaste for your ilk.
        Thank you for your support. I do appreciate it.
        However, for the first time Larry has said something that I understand to be absolutely correct. This may have been a nation founded BY many Christians, but this was not founded as a Christian nation.
        The links, quotes, and cites that Larry has posted here are right. Jefferson was a Deist. He ‘wrote’ the Jefferson Bible, which was really a Bible from which he removed all of the references to miracles, the Savior, God’s supremacy over all others, etc, and from that created a book that was a collection of morals and ethics supported by stories and myths. It was also very important to the founders to ensure that our government was not either engaging in theocracy, nor limiting the religious freedoms of our people. In short, the 1st Amendment is not only written to support freedom of religion, but freedom FROM religion.
        Larry’s research on this subject is not only sound, but it is truly limited in it’s scope. Thomas Payne, John Hancock, Benjamin Franklin, Spooner, and a host of others wrote about their distaste for, or flat out disbelief in any form of organized religion. However, they also wrote of their support for those that wished to freely practice their beliefs.
        The very first amendment to our Constitution includes this support. It is no mistake that it is in the FIRST of the first 10 Amendments. It was the first written in order to protect free speech, a free press, and the freedom to practice the religion of the individual from a tyrannical government that may attempt to silence the people, silence the press, or prevent or legislate religious practices.
        So in this case, Larry has presented a sound argument, however brash, that is simply a matter of historical fact and not opinion.
        Yet something else occurs to me here. The VERY next Amendment was to ensure that free men would have the right to arm themselves for the defense of their homes, lives, and property from a tyrannical government as well.
        So in this case, well said, Larry. Perhaps you can make even more points using tact and respect, rather than the childish and arrogant tactics you have employed.
          Yo Patriot,
          It takes character to see the truth in an exchange with a person you don’t agree with. Thank you for being the voice of reason.
      Gate Look the only thing that matters is the constitution. Of course wack jobs like Larry the lier Dillon don’t give a damn about the constitution. They don’t like the rule of law. Marxists want chaos. The Marxists says conservatives are losing then how come we maintained the house. How come we are still taking over state legislatures and governorships. How come one state is almost making abortion illegal. Another state voted to end minority based hiring. The list is growing. Conservatives have a super majority in Tennessee. Took over the legislature in Arkansas for the first time since reconstruction. Louisiana strengthened private gun ownership laws. Once we get over 2 thirds of the states I believe st some point we can a super majority of the U S senate. Once that happens we can make huge changes to the constitution to protect citizens from you Marxists. How simply by eliminating certain amendments Like the 18th and change the income tax to a flat tax only. We can make it 10% then make where it would take 3/4 of congress to ever raise the pct. Add an amendment that gets rid of this bogus bade line budgeting. Make abortion illegal. No more public money for planned parenthood. The list goes on. Do you Marxist know why this happening. Obama is killing his own party. Just keep on with your Marxist be and we will get this country back state by state
    You love to tout approval ratings as some sort of yardstick in regards to the quality of leadership we are getting. Honestly, it just shows the ignorance and stupidity of most Americans. Ronald Reagan had a 68% approval rating in 1986. George W. Bush had a 90% approval rating in 2001. Hitler enjoyed an approval rating of 90% plus during the economic recovery of Germany. He knew, as do our politicians, the value of distraction, deception, coercion, and demagoguery. The frog is slowly coming to a boil in this nation. And you can continue to hate ‘tea nuts’ and the like, and in so doing, be completely blinded and manipulated by those you seem to support so vehemently. That is your choice.
    You and I crossed swords earlier about what it is that I believe, and of course, you made your assumptions. So I will make it clear – both parties, and all major ideologies are destructive, invasive, and are responsible for the utter devastation of our republic, and not one is more or less responsible than the other. We hire stupid, incompetent, greedy thugs to run our country, and they have run it into the ground. The collapse of our economy is a mathematical certainty, not an angry partisan theory. I have a feeling when our economy runs into the inevitable hyperinflation, then the massive deflation and devaluation, followed by the dollar being downgraded from the world’s reserve currency, all of this inane partisan left/right tea nut/libtard B.S. will suddenly become somehow not so important anymore. This country is run by fools, but the greater fools are the fools that believe in them.
      Yo Patriot,
      well said.
    Before the Army Security Agency was absorbed into the Military Intelligence (oxymoron) community, and the Ft. Devens HQ moved to Ft. Huachuca, one had to score in the top ten percentile to even be considered for ASA assignment, then a history that enabled a high security clearance was required before any training could be considered – our mechanics and cooks included. Reading Larry Dillon’s claim of having been associated with MI and Augsburg was uplifting, his verbiage and skewed “knowledge,” however, labels him as a parent’s basement wannabe, not unike those faux “Rangers” and “SEALS” who have no clue – whose numbers exceed the total applicants for those specialties. I retired after three RVN tours and 16 years service (with the ASA) at 80% of my base pay, tax-free.
    Do you know what that means Larry?
    Wayne Allyn Root, idiot extraordinaire couldn’t predict the Presidential winner. Rain Man could do a better job.
    • Bob666
      Yo Patriot,
      Rain Man would probably write a more factual blog as well. Wayne knows how to fan the flames of his following and while entertaining, it’s sad that many of these people follow him like a sheep.
