Obama’s Minority Report

May 22, 2013 by

Obama’s Minority Report
UPI FILE

“When the chips are down, when the pressure is on, every creature on the face of the Earth is interested in one thing and one thing only. Its own survival.” — Dr. Iris Hineman as played by Lois Smith in the 2002 blockbuster movie “Minority Report

Like every creature, President Barack Obama wants to survive his grand Presidency, the first for a minority. Yet in the wake of the hell storm that had landed upon him these past few weeks, he is more than ever a cornered animal. I expect the President to be ruthless and reckless in defeating any and all enemies.

Obama’s fangs are extended, and he and his supporters will fight tooth and nail to preserve his minority presidency, regardless of the cost to the Nation.

Case in point: Attorney General Eric Holder wrote a chilling letter to Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) two months ago. In part it read:

It is possible, I suppose, to imagine an extraordinary circumstance in which it would be necessary and appropriate under the Constitution and applicable laws of the United States for the President to authorize the military to use lethal force within the territory of the United States.

Seriously, do you trust Holder with a missile? If you do, then ask The Associated Press just how far it trusts Holder and his boss, Obama? These two men have criminal ambitions that President Richard Nixon never imagined.

Holder’s reasoning for spying on the Fourth Estate explains the whole affair as if he were consigliere dismissing bad acts as a noble endeavor: “This was a very serious leak and a very, very serious leak.”

The key word is “serious.”

Of course, Holder and Obama thought it a serious leak. All leaks that implicate a President in wrongdoing are serious. Ask John Dean, White House counsel to Nixon during Watergate, if Deep Throat was a serious leak. That is what leaks are. This is why our Constitution provides the 1st Amendment, freedom of speech, to people like you, me and the press.

Listen up, Obama-maniacs; it is possible this soon-to-be ex-President will utter words of your arch nemesis, Nixon: “I’m not a crook!”

Obama Drones On

If you are one of the millions of loyal Obama supporters, the worst you might have to fear — besides tyranny — is listening to another one of the President’s boring speeches and his feigned ignorance on events like Benghazi, Libya.

If you are a political opponent, such as a member of the Tea Party or a writer for The AP, you can expect Obama to implement Gestapo tactics using his Internal Revenue Service or Justice Department on the basis of preserving America’s national security.

And if Obama thinks you are a clear and present danger, there just might be a missile in your future.

Last Wednesday, Bob Livingston penned a great column for Personal Liberty Digest™, Obama The Obtuse. It spoke to the willful blindness or purposeful ignorance of Obama on crucial matters that affect our liberty: guns in Mexico, the IRS, The AP and Benghazi.

After I read it, I thought: “Damn, I wish I had written that.” I didn’t, but I want to share these 23 words from it:

“He [Obama] didn’t know. He didn’t know. He didn’t know. He didn’t know. He’s the smartest man in the world, and he didn’t know.”

This is what we know about Obama and his weapon of choice: drones.

Holder said we need to worry about them only in case of “extraordinary circumstance.” Our definition of what is extraordinary and Holder’s definition may be quite different.

Dead Muslims… So Far

I wrote last week about the killing of two Muslim American-born citizens, Anwar al-Awlaki and his 17-year-old son Abdulrahman al-Awlaki, which was carried out by drones using Hellfire missiles. That would seem extraordinary given the absence of habeas corpus. However, the father did have ties to Islamic terrorist groups, while his son’s execution seems to have been an errant shot (like when you shoot the family dog instead of the coyote).

No big deal, right? Both of “those” Americans were Muslim. Both of “those” Americans were killed in the Mideast.

What if next time there is a “suspected enemy combatant” in Jackson, Miss., or Fargo, N.D.? What if next time they are not Muslims but Christians? What if they happen to have the misfortune of living next to someone who is Muslim — someone whom Obama, with his Allah-given wisdom, decides are his enemies. We can be sure that the President and his supporters will chalk it up to collateral damage. These things happen in war.

The last time I checked, America had not been invaded and occupied. No doubt, terrorists like the Boston bombers are still roaming about; but is that an excuse for Obama to operate his drone program with impunity against the very Americans who elected him?

Yet Obama’s drone air force has taken flight, killing bad guys and innocents over Islamic lands; and it is now constantly prowling over America. Drones have become Obama’s weapon of choice the way the Tommy gun was Al Capone’s.

Peter Bergen, CNN’s national security analyst, reported in September that Obama had by then authorized 283 strikes in Pakistan alone, four times more than the number during President George W. Bush’s eight years in office.

Most chilling about Obama’s use of drones against perceived enemies is what New York Times writer Jeremy Scahill, the author of Dirty Wars, “calls a form of ‘pre-crime’ justice where individuals are considered fair game if they met certain life patterns of suspected terrorists,” as reported by The Guardian.

“One of the enduring legacies of Obama’s presidency is how he has normalised assassination as a central component of what is called America’s national security policy,” Scahill told The Guardian.

It is eerily reminiscent of Steven Spielberg’s movie “Minority Report,” starring Tom Cruise. In that science fiction film, set in the not-too-distant future, the government believes it can predict future crimes and “capture or kill” the culprit before they have even committed a crime. It sounds frighteningly similar to what the Obama Administration is doing.

Imagine the audacity of the Obama White House to believe it can predict — based on actions and movements rather than actual crimes — an individual’s intention. These autocratic executions are ordered by the President who doesn’t know much, yet is all-knowing.

With the exception of the American al-Awlakis, Obama has used his omnipotence against real or just perceived foreign combatants. Could we see a time when the Obama Administration will target Americans? I would have thought it impossible two weeks ago. But two weeks ago, we had not learned about the President’s other predators — not his drones, but his IRS and his Justice Department. He appears to have wielded his influence over those agencies without regret, and it seems to be naïve that he won’t do the same with his air robots.

Fatal Fallout If Obama Is Impeached

I share some excitement in knowing that Obama is ruining his Administration and his legacy. But I remember a saying my mother had: “Be careful what you ask for. You just might get it.”

If Obama is a President worthy of impeachment, if he is forced from office, there will be hell to pay for the Nation. His supporters by the millions will say he was politically lynched because of his color. Think back to the widespread rioting after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968. Take the number of those events and multiply that by a big number, and you will know what I am talking about.

It will be deadly serious for Obama to keep the Presidency. It will be deadly dangerous if he loses it.

Yours in good times and bad,

It doesn’t matter how bad things will get if he LOSES the presidency, if he STAYS, we’re all doomed. He was a fraud to begin with, never having ANY legitimate documentation. Hell, we don’t even know his real NAME!!! My goodness, where has all the truth and justice in this nation gone?!? Get rid of this piece of crap…NOW!!!

    • Frank Kahn

Careful, Olin, your racism is showing. There was not one word in his post that was bigoted. He stated an opinion that is held by a vast majority of people who are not enamored with Obama. He voiced the truth about the lack of documentation on Obama. There is evidence that he has had more than one official name. Truth? Well, that is not opinion, that is fact, Obama has told many lies in the last 5 years.

And if Obama thinks you are a clear and present danger, there just might be a missile in your future.

DHS has or on order over 2 billion rounds of ammo for domestic use, the “manripper” kind (this ammo is illegal for war due to its horrific effects on the human body).DHS has armor, sniper rifles, machine guns, gas, tactical gear, personal armor, drones, and more for domestic use. Domestic use is: ON YOU THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

Tyrants tend to use what’s available to them to maintain power and control, things could get ugly quickly, it just needs a trigger event, either economic or say full scale war breaks out in the middle east. The martial law hammer will come down, never trust the blue helmets either, like I said tyrants will use what’s available.

Note to state and local police: you have been deprived of ammo for a reason, that reason is to make you ineffective in control of the out of control and casualties, so they can call in DHS and UN military assets. If you don’t thing so… why doesn’t the DHS spread some of that ammo around to you guys? They need to sacrifice you to take the next step, don’t let them, be on the side of the people.

Boy, did you pick the wrong person to ask….
22 years as a registered Land Surveyor in Central Florida. I’m the guy that has to fix all of the screw ups that civil engineers hand to us. I am the guy who takes your drawings to the field and fixes all of the things that “work on paper” but don’t usually work in the real world. I am the guy who has to do your job…because you aren’t capable. I am the guy who fixes your crap work, while you get a pat on the back by your bosses…for less than stellar work.
I work with numbers, coordinate geometry, trigonometry. I work with the curvature of the earth as well as distances and angles. You work on computer screens and flat pieces of paper ( Which are about as 2 dimensional as you seem to be).
I also have two years of Constitutional Law classes at Stetson University and am currently taking courses at Penn Foster to obtain my gunsmithing certification and licensing.
Of course, “if you’d read any of my previous posts, you’d know that already”.

          • Bob666

            Well Joe,
“I’m the guy that has to fix all of the screw ups that civil engineers hand to us. Well joe,

You do seem to see yourself as the fixer. Small world, you might have worked on some of our projects, but most of what we have done in central Florida was CEI work with FDOT.

Your comments are relevent and that is why I would take new hires out of school (many from U/F) and put them in the field for five years before they ever did oversight in design work and only my senior engineers with vast field experience worked on design-build work.

Most of our projects were in buildings and power grid projects -many for FP&L and that is where our foreign market is as well. History will decide how good I was in the field of Civil Engineering or running an engineering firm that I was the majority stock holder in, but I sold out last year to retire and the new owners keep calling me for “favors”. I might also add that our errors and omissions claims were among the lowest in the industry.

You do know that I have yet to run into a dirt mover, pipe layer, steel erector or formwork carpenter that has not made the same claim-I guess that we only tend
            to fare better than Architects.

BTW-I took more than a couple of classes in Surveying when I went to school -well before computers and I have a vast respect for a good surveyor as they are the
smarter of the field people on site. If you have been in it for as long as you say, then you figured out how to set up a real transit and theodolite long before hand held elecrtonics and GPS. I still have a collection of yellow log books that were written by real Surveyors.

          • Average_Joe56

See, I knew that if we talked long enough that we would eventually find something in common that we could agree on. (even if it isn’t politics). ;) All of us have common ground somewhere along the way.

Like you, I sold my business a few years back @52 to retire. I saw what was coming in the housing market and decided to get out while the getting was good. Somewhere along the way, I probably have done work for your company. I worked an 8 mile section of the Veteran’s Expressway (Pasco and Hernando). My company was one of only 2 in the state that were certified to do layout work for Florida Power. While the majority of my work involved single family homes, there was more than enough Commercial work to do as well. I remember several years ago getting a “Rooms to Go” job. We went out, did the initial survey on the property. Two months later we get the site plans to start layout.
After setting up to layout the building, we discovered that the Engineer had placed 77 feet of the building on another person’s property and 15 feet of that was in the middle of a small stream. We called the firm and was told….fix it in the field…… I replied with a kind “No thank you, your name is on those plans and my company will not be held responsible for your work, please fix your mistakes and re-submit them”…and then promptly sent them a bill for the day’s work.
On another job, we were laying out the parking lot when the engineering firm came by to check the progress of the building that was going up. most of the framing was done interior and exterior. The engineer is walking around taking measurements and discovers that the building is about 1 foot shorter than it needed to be. He tells the GC that he needs to add another foot of concrete to the west end of the building (A revision of the plans that was never sent to us) and everything will be perfect. The GC just looks at him and starts laughing. The guy grabs his plans and starts drawing a line on the plans, “see, that’s all you need to do to fix the problem and make the building the right size”. The GC, Ok, no problem, we can do this, but it will take another four months to finish the job and turn it over to the owners for occupation. The engineer freaks out saying he doesn’t understand the delay, after all it was a simple as adding another foot of concrete. He forgot that adding the concrete meant that all of the walls(Interior and exterior) would have to come down on that end of the building…in order to move the exterior wall out to match the “new” slab. That’s why I made the comment above about “things that work on paper”. It took 3 of us almost an hour to make this guy understand what he was asking of us, before he finally said…”leave it as is”.

Thank you Patricia. I’ll just ignore Mike and Bob Antichrist, due to their elementary school level behavior. Here are some other things about the IRS and Obama bin Laden.

There are many others, but I’ll just stick with these for now. Like I said, just ignore Mike and Bob as they are liars and spewers of rhetoric, innuendo, and hate. They love misdirection and tend to do a duck and cover. They don’t know what a patriot is nor what they stand for. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

How can you expect to be taken seriously when all you do is make up “funny” names for people? It’s 3rd grade humor. I recall at about that age we had a substitute called Miss Watermaker. She had spilled water from a vase on the floor. We thought that was the funniest thing that ever happened. Some of your nicknames might even amuse 8 year olds, but their parents will still choose Hillary over anyone you might favor.

  • peter

Wishful thinking! Obama will never be impeached. He is untouchable. He may well declare martial law and become the first Emperor of the US of A. That is more likely than him being impeached. Careful what you wish for indeed! Troubled times ahead – more trouble shortly when the bond bubble bursts. Shucks, how many more crises ahead? Don’t know, can’t say, but they are coming, better believe it! The Great One of course does not know that and so is unlikely to do anything. If only he was better informed he would easily restore the entire planet to all it’s former glory, so please keep him up to date so that he can sort out all the crap! OK?

    • http://www.facebook.com/CapitalistAtBirth Greg Murphy

I did not see the part where peter was saying it would be a good thing for Obama to become Emperor. Are you serious? You want to live in a Monarchy/Dictatorship? I am certain there are many who would contribute to a fund to buy you a one way ticket to Cuba or another Communist Dictatorship.

    • Pplepeu9

Ok, I’m going to challenge you to actually put some intelligent thought into this, if you can. Just what do you think would be the benefit to Obama being the “Emperor”? Be specific, name and describe programs he could implement if not impeded by democracy that would benefit ALL Americans. Tell us how he would make the world a safer place and bring peace to all nations. And please, don’t neglect to share how he will bring a debt-free prosperity to ALL Americans. Go to work, you have a thought provoking essay to compose if you’re able.

Exactly correct! What has me concerned, at this point, on these, seemingly interconnected issues, is ; WHY?; or more precisely WHY NOW?
Is this IRS issue just the result of an overzealous minion, consumed with the corrupt aggression of this administration, acting out foolishly! Or has Obama’s extreme Narcissism metastasized into full blown Self-Aggrandization!
Has he become so uncertain of the outcome of the 2014 Election that he is willing to turn, even on his most ardent supporters (MSM)? Using the threats of financial hardship and even incarceration to silence critic’s!
Or is he so absolutely certain that, at this point, neither he nor his Leftist Agenda can be stopped, that he doesn’t believe he need wait for 2014? Is he truly that confident that the Electoral vote can be usurped?

Rich -D….many of us who are now much older knew this years ago. People who call themselves Patriots are considered enemies of the State which tells it all. We are now and have been part of an unconstitutional dictatorship in D.C. for many years. The dumbing down of society was seen in the last election and continues to manifest itself throughout our country.

      • Farleyagain

It looks like the “dumbing down” has been wildly successful. A comment on an unrelated post suggested that children do not need to be taught WHAT to think, but HOW to think. As a parent and grandparent, I can say with certainty that children come out of the womb knowing HOW to think, so this dumbing down process has to be about teaching them how NOT TO THINK. If this process continues much longer, children will not be able to walk!

As far as the “Father” being killed by a drone; I was all for it because he gave up his citizenship and was a teacher and insane religous leader instructing others to hate us and kill us. As for his son, little to nothing is known about his beliefs BUT, I suspect they were like his father but, I, and I suspect obama didn’t know either but, again, he too gave up his citizenship to be there with his dad so you have to assume he was up to no good considering everything that had taken place there .

I guess you have absolved the cretin from his responsibilities of his recruitment and training of other cretins intent on killing you and me? How generous of you. Fortunately you are in a small minority with such a mindset. If you think Islam is so great, why don’t you move to a Muslim country?

        • Average_Joe56

“I guess you have absolved the cretin from his responsibilities of his recruitment and training of other cretins intent on killing you and me?”

Please point out where I even insinuated such a thing.
Stating that the law is in place to serve everyone equally, in no way absolves anyone of anything. It simply points out that no matter whether you agree with Alwaki’s views or not, he has the right to be
          1. Accused of a crime.
          2. Charged for a crime.
          3. Tried for a crime.
          4. Convicted in a court for a crime.
          5. Sentenced in a court for a crime.
None of these things were done. Just because the media and government told you a story, don’t believe it without question ( as should be evident by all of the scandals coming out right now).

I also asked for sources that he gave up his citizenship. I can’t seem to find any and his 16 year old son, certainly did not give up his.
Are you telling us that you agree with the NDAA? You agree that Obama has the authority to accuse someone of a crime, without due process and then execute them without question? I thought that you more intelligent than this, was I wrong?

I don’t disagree that Alwaki was a bad man, I just don’t agree with how it was handled.
If the government has evidence to support it’s claims, then why not take it to court and get a ruling? ( this could even be done in Alwaki’s absence).
Could it be that there is more to the story than meets the eye? or that the government doesn’t have a case?
So many questions, so few answers. And because Alwaki is dead, we will never hear his side of the story.
I guess the story is whatever the government says it is when the opponent can’t dispute the evidence (because he’s dead).

I didn’t realize that we had dumped the Constitution and started convicting people in the court of public opinion.

A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.

      • worldwatchman

This is a good writing but, again he gave up his citizenship and was using his platform to kill Americans and others from the west so, using this comparrison is VERY weak. It’s not a slippery slope…it’s facts. I’m a Constitutionist and I’m very keen on what’s Constitutional and what’s not BUT, I WILL NOT coddle a killer. You seem to be someone who would even with the facts glaring you in the face all in the name of some sort of pacifism and ignorance of well known facts. Sorry to tell you this but, I was left with litle choice.

        • Average_Joe56

Once again, sources please? Proof by bald assertion doesn’t carry much weight around here. You’ve made an accusation, but you have failed to prove your case.
I really don’t care a whole lot for your opinions, or what you will or won’t do. You are free to believe anything you choose to believe, it doesn’t concern me in the least.

Apparently, not as ignorant as you seem to be….. since you still haven’t backed up your claims with anything other than your opinion. Were you captain of the local debate team? LMAO
            Once again, sources?
I am guessing that you don’t have any. Rather than provide any sources, you stoop to name calling ( the last resort for someone losing an argument)… and you have the nerve to call someone else ignorant? Oh foolish one…..you are not the sharpest tack in the box. Dropped on your head as a child? Or, are you simply the result of public indoctrination camp (AKA public school)?

        • Farleyagain

Worldwatchman: I don’t have to accept his belief, but unless he has a loaded gun in his hand and is threatening to shoot me or someone I defend, our Consititution does not give me the right to kill him. If what he is saying is illegal, that is also something to be dealt with in the courts: treason is against the law, as is conspiring to kill people. I have serious concerns about government employees deciding in secret which citizens to execute.

    • Elda

No, Obama will soon show the black community around the country that he has been using them and he will turn on them too. Then they will understand what the rest of us have been saying and realize it is only about race as long as he can use them to his end. The people that pay taxes (all colors) pay for those that don’t (all colors) and when there are no more tax payers and we are all to poor to pay taxes it will become clear what the agenda was all along.

If there are riots by the Obozo-bots, so be it! This country can no longer afford this criminal in charge, Biden, and the whole administration must go too!
We have been without a real president for over 4 years now.
Instead we allowed an illegal alien with phony credentials to shred our Constitution, He has made illegal power grabs, He has made health care even worse, and has driven our debt beyond repayment!
We need radical Government shrinkage, pure and simple!
Pull our troops home, let them help out with the riots, deploy them on our southern border, round up all the illegals here and send them back!
Make english the language of this land, Restore common sense, undo disguised legislation, like the patriot act, NAFTA, Obozocare, etc.
Start an awareness campaign of purchasing american made goods!
That will bring jobs back. Remove impediments that have forced our small businesses to fail. In short,… Restore our LIBERTY and our Constitution so we can do what we were meant to do!

    • skippy

Can we please abolish the EPA also?? They sure drive a lot of industry OUT of the country. Or at least neuter them a LOT??!!!

      • Karolyn

Yes, let’s go back to polluted rivers and air so thick you can’t breathe. And that is what would happen without the EPA. Big business will get away with whatever they can. The EPA actually allows too many big businesses to get away with too much. Watch this movie:
        http://www.linktv.org/programs/the-last-mountain

        • Elda

No one wants dirty air and water. Stop saying we do. We only need a few simple laws to keep our air and water clean not so many that we can’t do business. You have no faith in the American people to come up with cleaner ways to do business. I say if the government gets out of the way we can do great and clean things.

          • Ted Crawford

Isn’t it sad so many, in pursuit of their ‘warm fuzzies’ advocate for a High Sounding Name, without having the least understanding about what it actually does! These ….people(?)…somehow believe that the Granting of $25,000, in Tax Payer funds, to an Interpretive Dance Company, SOMEHOW, “Keeps our Rivers and Streams Clear” !
EPA was an Agency begun by a Republican! To do just what these myopic ideologists claim it still does! Completely ,(appearently) ignorant to the fact that it was long ago subverted by the Progressives, and following the Cloward-Piven Strategy, being blown completely out of proportion!

          • Farleyagain

Elda, you are so right! It has been the global conglomerates that have polluted our land, air, water, AND POLITICS, not the small upstarts. Now those conglomerates are polluting Africa and Asia. Apply the monopoly laws to the banks and other huge corporations strangling this country, reinstate Glass Stegall fully, and impeach and remove all members of this administration.

Karolyn is a useful idiot. I strongly recommend responding to her strange diatribes.

          • Jeff

So anyone who believes the EPA should not be abolished is a “useful idiot”? It was much better when we had rivers catching fire. My considered opinion is you are a useless idiot, much as your forebears in the 50s who proclaimed anyone in favor of Civil Rights a “Commie.” It’s over. People don’t buy the right wing nonsense anymore.

          • http://www.facebook.com/CapitalistAtBirth Greg Murphy

It was the Republicans that first attempted to pass Civil Rights Laws in the 50’s. It would have never passed in the 60’s without the Republicans in Congress. What are you smoking. You obviously are ignorant of the truth, which proves you are a useful idiot. What the hell does Civil Rights have to do with the EPA. Since you implied that I think the EPA should be abolished, I will say that I think the law needs to be changed and there is much more oversight needed to control their out of control behavior. If it cannot be reigned in then throw all of the laws on the books regarding the subject and start from scratch. If you think doubling the cost of transportation and energy is good, why don’t you move to Europe?

          • Jeff

I’ll move to Paris when you move to China. The point was not about civil rights; it was about you right wingers calling people communists because they disagree with you about something.

          • Karolyn

Once again, in your dreams. Big business cares not for clean air and water. They only care about the bottom line, even if it means polluting themselves out of business.

            http://www.linktv.org/programs/the-last-mountain

          • Nadzieja Batki

If they pollute themselves out of business that means that they no longer can create revenue for themselves so how is that beneficient to them in the long run. No business is that self destructive.

          • Karolyn

Why would they do it? You got me, but they do. I remember years ago an interview of a developer who was into overbuilding – building wherever possible, even though it would mean there would be no more open space to build on or for his grandchildren to enjoy. The bottom line was he only cared about the money, the immediate gratification – Screw the future. If you watch the movie I linked to, you will see coalminers demonstrating for a continuation of mountaintop removal even though they are working themselves out of jobs. (Besides the fact that the big coal companies are using less manpower and more machinepower). None of it makes sense.

          • Bob666

Yo Nads,Or they simply dump bad stuff in your back yard?

          • Jeff

Because the business gets all the benefit of polluting but has to pay only the tiniest portion of its cleanup. The problem of fouling the commons is not new. I know you only read right wing conspiracy blogs, but read Robert Kennedy, Jr.’s book “Crimes Against Nature” for a more thorough explanation.

Abolish the EPA? Can you be so naive as to believe that corporations would put environmental safety over profits? I have a close friend who works for the EPA as a lead chemist. He approaches his job with honor and genuine concern for the best interests of our citizens.

Remember when we had rivers that burned, fish that were too toxic to eat, asbestos in homes and schools, toys that gave kids cancer and lead poisoning? … all in the name of profits.

Of course the EPA has hindered some corporate activities and some individuals overstep their boundaries. But you and everyone else has benefited from the EPA in ways you are not even aware of.

If you are truly conservative and care about future generations you would realize that we have only one habitable planet for our species. Conserving it for future generations is more important than protecting profits for the greedy who would pollute indiscriminately and bleed their workers if left unchecked.

Complaining about the EPA is fighting against your own best interests.

Hmmmm…didn’t we just have toys from CHINA that were full of lead???!!!! Try again Arky

          • Jeff

Right now, at this moment, China is producing more toxins and more pollution than we are. On a per capita basis, I believe we may still have them beat. But we’ve been doing it for over 100 years and China just barely got started. I believe as World Leader we have a duty to lead in a positive direction. China and India may not follow immediately, but follow they will. I believe the Chinese like to breathe almost as much as Americans.

          • skippy

Well, considering what the USA has borrowed from CHINA…that must mean they support that behavior. Why else would the USA take their money??!! Stop the borrowing, pay them back, and everyone in DC take their lumps, and a HUGE PAY CUT! Sure, all will suffer, but hey…either way it’s coming…might as well get it over with! :) Maybe we’ll all learn how to help one another, and really care about each other and quite drive by shooting and beating each other up! I firmly believe GOD is in control. Sometimes I wonder if this country needs a Sodom and Gomorrah moment….do you even KNOW that story? What say YOU young man??

I think “Remove impediments that have forced our small businesses to fail.” covers that. While I’m on this, I’ll also say end Corporate Welfare, make lobbying illegal, force congress to abide the same laws they make for everyone else.

I’ll even say add to our constitution a 12 year limit is what a person can serve in congress, (2 Terms as senate, or 1 term senate plus 3 terms in the house of representatives, or 6 terms in the house of representatives) After that they are done!, No ritzy retirement fund, they must pay into Social Security like everyone else, and if they wish they can do a 401 (k) plan like everyone else. No more ripping off the taxpayers to support their lavish lifestyles!

        • skippy

Wow Motov that second paragraph is just what I am thinking too! Serving in Congress was NEVER intended to be a darn career!! • Motov

I’ll even state this, make it a law that congress must keep a balanced budget, or whatever goes above and beyond a balanced budget will come out of their pockets,…not ours!

But the politicians daily drama keeps us from learning they are behind scenes, fonkey mucking everything.

Skippy, grow up. It’s OK for us to be the world leader in blowing things up, in making money, and in polluting, but when it comes to cleaning up the mess, we have to wait and see what North Korea is going to do?

LOL…you make me laugh….”in making money”…Are you even on this planet, or IN THIS country?? I take it you haven’t heard about the national debt. I’ll grow up, when and IF you ever smart up!!! :)

          • Jeff

The national debt only has meaning when looked at as a per centage of the GNP. I believe the debt is approximately where it’s been in per centage terms for decades. As for the annual deficit, it’s been declining under Obama. Regardless, we have a standard of living unmatched by virtually any other country (I’m not counting freakish places like Kuwait or Dubai where they have small populations and unlimited oil wealth.). We are still the world’s ;largest economy and on a per capita basis, no one is even close. We have the most cars and, over the past century, have done more polluting than anyone else. Therefore, we have a duty to lead the clean up. If we develop green energy technologies, China, India, and the rest of the world will use them.

          • Frank Kahn

In a court of law, you are assumed to be following your oath to tell the truth until you are caught in a lie. After that lie, everything you say is suspect. I preface my post with this because I am going to show that your belief is either a matter of ignorance or a proof by bald assertion.

According to widipedia our current debt to GDP is 90.39%, which does not show your lie, assuming that it has been above 90% for several decades. What are several decades anyway, 3, 4, 5 is it more than 50 years?

Actually, less than 40 years ago the ratio was around 32%, so we have to reduce the number of decades to less than 4. Again, we might accept 3 decades except that the percentage moved wildly over the last say 6 years, hitting a maximum of over 100% at one point. So in the last 6 years (less than one decade) the percentage has moved at least 10%. And, according to the government accounting office, the percentage is projected to continuing to rise through 2018.

            My source

            http://www.usgovernmentspending.com/federal_debt_chart.html

a direct quote from the site.

“Federal debt exploded during World War II to over 120 percent of GDP, and then began a decline that bottomed out at 32 percent of GDP in 1974. Federal debt almost doubled in the 1980s, reaching 60 percent of GDP in 1990 and peaking at 66 percent of GDP in 1996, before declining to 56 percent in 2001. Federal debt started increasing again in the 2000s, reaching 70 percent of GDP in 2008. Then it exploded in the aftermath of the Crash of 2008, reaching 102 percent of GDP in 2011.”

Now, since you lied about the debt ratio, are you also lying about our standard of living? It might be correctly stated that the mean standard of living is the best in the world, but there has been a steady decline of that standard over the last several years. We have millions more living in poverty now than we did just 5 years ago.

While, I am aware, and willing to acknowledge, that even our poor are better off than other nations poor, our average standard of living is propped up by the extreme wealth of a small minority of our nation.

It is not the, hard working, conservative who has the resources to alleviate the suffering of other nations. It is the upper and middle class that could make a difference. All those union babies, who are making 200K a year should look at their finances and see just how greedy they are. Do some research and find out how many poor people in other countries you could support for just 10K a year. In the Philippines, $1,000 a month is a fortune, you can build a veritable mansion for $10,000. And, the Philippines is not even classed as a third world country.

        • http://www.facebook.com/CapitalistAtBirth Greg Murphy

If you do not think the EPA is and has been out of control, you must be a useful idiot.

        • Jeff

These are not Edward Burke conservatives concerned that progressives sometimes act too quickly to change institutions. While you can agree or disagree with Burke, he had a reasonable basis for his views. He believed we aren’t smart enough to make wholesale changes quickly without making errors. Undoubtedly he was right. But that doesn’t mean nothing ever changes. It just has to happen in a considered way and with sufficient study of the possible unintended consequences.

No, these guys are radicals who want to eliminate every institution developed in the last 113 years designed for any purpose other than the maximization of corporate profits. If Government’s role is to be no different from that of Big Business, of what purpose is it? Government is not a business. If it were, would it spend billions of dollars to rebuild Oklahoma?

          • Frank Kahn

You are right, change needs to be considered. The unintended consequences need to be included in the equation about cost vs benefit. This is exactly the problem with the EPA, it has thrown out the cost part of the equation and only looks at miniscule benefits. It has tunnel vision, it focuses on one small item and then charges forward with every possible resource to eliminate its perceived threat.

You are so full of self admiration it is sickening. You keep spouting lies that nobody but your fringe liberal buddies would even consider as possibly correct. We don’t need to throw out any government operation that is actually good for us, we just need to get rid of the millions of ones that are bad. You, and your liberal buddies, insane mantra, that civilization would crumble and revert to the dark ages if government didn’t get to rule every aspect of our lives is utter BS. If the EPA can’t start acting in a reasonable manner, it should be abolished. If the Department of Education can’t show proof of a benefit to our learning, it should go. If

DHS can’t operate within normal civilized parameters, and show some beneficial effects, it should be abolished too.

What part of, “If it is not working, it must be eliminated” do you not understand?

          • Jeff

Frank, if you were doing the “balancing,” we’d still be breathing toxic air and rivers would still be catching fire. The problem with the “balance” you seek is that developers and polluters have lobbyists; rivers and consumers really don’t, so every decision will favor money over the environment. We need a few more people in government like William O. (“Wild Bill”) Douglas, willing to grant standing to the trees.

          • Frank Kahn

No, Jeff, we need far fewer of the liberal extremists that are destroying our nation. This is including the moronic marxists in our government.

My balancing is reasoned consideration. Your balance is extreme anti-human BS.

RIVERS never caught fire. A RIVER caught fire. STOP THE HYPERBOLE.

Toxic air? Where in our country is there still toxic air? Might surprise you to know that it is all in liberal controlled cities.

And, you might try to define toxic, high PPM of carbon dioxide is not toxic to humans. High carbon dioxide is not toxic to plants.

So what is toxic in our atmosphere?

What is the EPA’s single most demonized greenhouse gas?

I said before, and I will say again, the EPA had a purpose. It served its purpose and now has grown to a gigantic, anti-American, anti-human and anti-science cancer.

It is hard to list all the stupidity of the pretend science pushed by the EPA, and other study based opinions of our government.

It is not hard to list the stupidity of people like you. Your stupidity is singular, you believe all the lying political idiots in our nation.

You spew true insane moronic stupidity when you say my balance would leave us with toxic air and severely polluted water. That is oxymoronic, you cant have a balance that is one sided.

I never push, or approve of pollution. I just dont believe that the over the top tyrannical political pushing of something is good.

The EPA has evolved into something that is extremely bad for us, the country and the world. It needs to be destroyed before it destroys us.

Developers are not polluters. That is an over simplification and generalization.

Technically every human on the planet is a polluter, but then so is every other animal.

It depends on your view point, what you consider pollution.

You drink water from a river?

The fish, and many other wildlife use streams and rivers as their toilets. Is that polluting the water? If it is then you need to arrest all those fish and other animals that are putting raw sewage into our drinking water. If it is not then why do you rail against humans dumping raw sewage into it?

Methane gas is a larger problem in terms of greenhouse gasses than carbon dioxide.

Cows, produce large amounts of methane gas from their digestive system. Should we outlaw cows?

GMO, and their cousins chemically enhanced meats are responsible for lots of pollution. These chemicals have direct effects on humans, bad effects, but your liberal government supports and backs them.

Studies done, concerning Monsanto corn, has shown terrible side effects on children, but Obama helps pass a bill to make it impossible to sue them for it.

Is your precious EPA working as hard to eliminate GMO’s as it is to eliminate carbon dioxide?

A cleaner environment is desirable for everyone. Achieving it through oppressive government regulation is not. Filtering (cleaning) the output of factories and power plants or cars is good, but placing outrageously strict reductions that have little or no added benefit are bad.

As I stated before, the only way to drastically cut the pollution of humans is to drastically reduce the human population. Unless you liberals are ready to volunteer for extermination, stop harping on the normal effects of human habitation of the planet. Considering the fact that Muslims, by their religious doctrine, are extreme liberals, eliminating all liberals would reduce the world population by over 70%.

AGW solved, need for GMO’s solved, air and water pollution solved.

          • Jeff

“You spew true insane moronic stupidity when you say my balance would leave us with toxic air and severely polluted water. That is oxymoronic, you cant have a balance that is one sided.”

Of course you can’t. That’s the point. The “balancing” will always be one-sided because all the money is on one side. You criticize the EPA for being in the pocket of Monsanto. That may be true, but the solution is not to further diminish the EPA’s power; it is to weaken the power of big money in politics.

Say somebody wants to build a coal-fired power plant.
They claim it will create X number of jobs and reduce the cost of electricity in the region by 5%. On the other side, the environmental groups say it will increase air pollution and add to global warming, but those impacts are in the future. Who wins that argument? Industry wins it every time either by having more hired guns than the Sierra Club or through campaign contributions (bribes) to the decision makers. That’s why you need to have bright line rules regarding pollution. If it’s on a case-by-case basis, the polluters win and the environment (and your lungs) lose.

          • Frank Kahn

Arguing apples and oranges here. You say further diminish the power of the EPA and actually it would be reining in the obscene increase of their power.

In your example, you again use hyperbole to further an agenda that is nonsensical.

It is a matter of science, who is right and who is wrong. What is the effects, if any, that the power plant would actually have on a perceived global warming trend, now or in the future.

The science of the equation is even disputed among scientists. How much does greenhouse gasses contribute to global warming? If, global warming exists, what is its full cause, and what are the actual consequences of the increase. How much of what we are fed is government biased, and how much is true. How much would that one power plant add to the accumulation of greenhouse gasses? How long would its emissions take to actually show a significant raise in the particulate count worldwide? Simply stating that it emits greenhouse gasses is not enough to conclude that it is terrible and destructive. The argument is about reasonable considerations, and the EPA does not operate on that premise. Greenhouse gasses are bad, so we have to eliminate them totally. That is the perception of how they operate. It is not good, and it does not benefit either man or the planet.

The environment will survive, we can damage it but we cannot kill it. My lungs are doing fine, another coal fired power plant will not decrease their function in the next 2000 years.

It is not now, nor has it ever been, a problem of pollution. It is not about saving the environment. It is about government control. Even what you claim as bribes by the industry, is a form of government control. Do you honestly believe that the EPA is not being used by industry and government to control competition to big corporations? Is it the goal of the EPA to help green energy companies take over the utilities of the nation? What is the motivation for the EPA to radically push for green energy and the elimination of the current successful forms of energy?

Once again, I state, the current state of human civilization cannot survive on green energy. It will take decades if not centuries for us to bring the technology up to speed to support green energy usage for modern societies.

They are currently test flying a solar powered plane. Is it something that can replace modern aircraft? NO, it has the wing span of a 747, just to collect enough energy to power the electric motors that are capable of powering it in an amazing almost 50 mph flight carrying 1 pilot and no passengers.

Well, I am happy for them, it is just like the electric cars of today, it works but is virtually useless to anyone. I can pay 16 million to buy an electric airplane that can fly me from Boise, Idaho to the Oregon coast in only 11 hours. It is slow, but hey, it didnt use any gas.

          • Jeff

“The environment will survive, we can damage it but we cannot kill it. My lungs are doing fine, another coal fired power plant will not decrease their function in the next 2000 years.”

This is exactly the attitude that will lead to all decisions being rendered in favor of development and in favor of polluters. No one is suggesting solar aircraft nor mandating electric cars. Certainly not in the near future anyway. But are fuel economy standards so bad? All the auto industry would need to show Judge Frank would be a slight diminution in profit margins and you’d throw out all CAFE standards. The point is we’re all better off if cars get better gas mileage. Let the auto companies compete within the same regulatory environment.

          • Frank Kahn

Okay, I am going to pretend that I am falling for your attempt to change the subject, which had not one thing to do with CAFE and gas mileage. And nothing I said in this thread could, even remotely, be construed to mean I have a problem with that ridiculous set of regulations.

I agree, that better gas mileage is a good thing, however, the means for achieving higher ratings is questionable. It is a given, that complete combustion of all the carbon in gas, would reduce the output of carbon dioxide. Not being a scientist, nor an engineer in that field, I am not sure how or even if that it possible. I do know that the current emission levels of new cars is very low. And, gas mileage, from the new more efficient technology is greatly increased. However, some analysts have stated that the new regulations are forcing the reduction of vehicle weight to attain higher gas mileage numbers. This, in my opinion is bad. The reason I say it is bad is because, you are not doing anything to help the environment. I can reduce the weight of my 2006 Mustang GT by 500 pounds and increase my gas mileage by 4 or 5 mpg. I will still produce the same emissions from burning 20 gallons of fuel as I did before. It just means I can afford to drive farther on the same amount of money. Some studies have shown that the current emission levels are so low that attempting to lower them more would be extremely expensive and have, virtually, no net gain in improving the effects on the environment.

CAFE, is a misleading concept anyway, it is a reduction in the average mileage of the entire fleet of vehicles, manufactured by a given company. This means that, the company can still produce high emission vehicles, that are bad polluters, as long as they increase the gas mileage of the more efficient vehicles. Mileage is not the issue, and should not be the focus of the regulations. It is the emission of greenhouse gasses that is the problem, make regulations that require a reduction in the higher emission vehicles in the fleet, and don’t worry about gas mileage.

I realize you are a die hard liberal, but, I don’t think you are really so simple minded, or stupid, that you really believe that forcing a higher cost of production on a corporation will reduce its profit margin. If they are forced to pay more to produce, we will be forced to pay more to consume.

Your last statement shows the true ignorance of a liberal’s government control of everything mentality. To suggest that it is a good thing that all companies should be REQUIRED to COMPETE under the same REGULATORY ENVIRONMENT is bordering on tyrannical stupidity. They should be competing in the same market place for the patronage of the consumers. They will not succeed by performing for the government, they will succeed by performing for the people. If Ford produces a higher mileage, durable vehicle, than GM, they will sell more cars. Simple as that, they compete for my money, not for pats on the back from Obama, or the EPA. Which, by the way, was the original subject of the thread.

          • Jeff

Speaking of electric cars, did you hear about Tesla paying back the government 9 years early? Apparently, seed capital given to innovators can work. Tesla has produced what Consumer Reports calls the best car it’s ever tested. The battery can now last 300 miles between charges and they’re developing a network of charging stations. It’s still a bit pricey, but what new product isn’t? Mass production should bring the price down in the next couple of years.

          • Frank Kahn

If you seriously think that being a conservative reduces your ability to aim a gun, you are dead wrong. And you cannot claim EXPERIENCE in an empirical way. Most people don’t even really know whether they are a true conservative or not, so how could you know that all those bad shots were conservatives.

You want a shooting match, bring it on. I am not really a conservative but I sure as hell aint no liberal. My shooting skills in the army were among the top, and I am sure that many of the other top shooters were a mixture of political ideologies.

          • Vigilant

Well, it’s obvious at this late juncture that Sarvis is talking through his hat.

I have EXPERIENCE in a lot of things, Sarvis, and if I’m challenged on a matter where I’ve made that assertion, I would be forthcoming with an answer.

BTW, anecdotal “evidence” stands up in no debate, period. It’s inductive reasoning based purely upon personal experience, which proves nothing.

          • Barack Embalmer

What experience would that be? A sniper in the Salvation army?!

          • Vigilant

            “In your experience?”
Did you preside over some shooting match between Conservatives and progressives? What an idiotic, unsupportable comment, Sarvis.

I am 57, 6′ 3″, 185 lbs. In perfect health and the only medication that I take is an aspirin a day, it’s a heart healthy thing ( I am willing to bet that you aren’t fairing quite so well). As for the rest of your inquiry,I guess you’ll just have to wonder, won’t you? Now that I feel totally violated by you, it’s time for a long, hot shower and a lot of soap to wash that nasty feeling off.

          • Karolyn

Contrary to what you might hope, Bud, I am in excellent health at 66 and only visit the doctor for injury or routine labs.

          • Vigilant

Bud (AJ), that’s all I used to take every day, but now I read that aspirin can affect macular degeneration. My mother was clinically blind when she died at 89, and at 66 I’ve already got the beginnings of it.

I had a blood clot in my right leg several years ago. It was either the aspirin or the Coumadin for life. I figured I’d kill two birds with one stone with the aspirin. So, far, my eyesight is ok (knock on wood), corrective lenses are a Godsend when reading though, lol.
I used to read that broccoli was good for the heart, however, it causes the blood to thicken (contributing to the clot). Good for the heart, bad for the blood, another of those “can’t win for losing” deals.

    • Watching_and_Waiting

AGREED!!! To keep a criminal in power out of fear that his criminally-minded supporters might commit more crimes (rioting) is the definition of insanity. It would be like refusing to convict another criminal out of fear that their criminally-minded supporters might riot (can we say O.J. trial?!) It is also the same mentality that creates laws prohibiting bus drivers from lending an elderly person ups the bus steps – in case the passenger falls and the bus company could be sued. Better to let the elderly passenger fall, unassisted, than lend a hand out of human compassion. This liberal-tainted society is trying to turn every single thought and feeling upside down and inside-out. Obama is merely the most visible manifestation of their mental illness. But a very powerful manifestation of course, since he is the teleprompter-in-chief; sorry, liar-in-chief; oops, I mean muslim sympathizer-in-chief; oh man, what I really mean is constitution-hater-in-chief; no, no no, I meant Christian-hater-in-chief… OH why don’t I come out and just say it? • Bob666

So Average-you had a name change?
As I have said, a lot can happen in three years. But, reight now-she is on top.

          • Bob666

Ho Joe, you are so average.

If you look at many of my post regarding Hillary, I have stated often that much can happen in three years before your post.

RIGHT now-she is on top and what weakling in the GOP is going to give her a run for the money????????

Why on earth would I do that? I am involved in a conversation with you…here… and ….now. I don’t care what you said to someone else… who knows when…

Should I research every comment that you’ve ever made…before replying to something that you have said… HERE and NOW? If so, I invite you not to reply to me…until you have read every single post that I’ve ever made….anywhere…anytime.
Stop trying to sidestep with imagined intelligence. Stick to this conversation and not one you may (or may not) have had six months ago.

“RIGHT now-she is on top ad (sic)what weakling in the GOP is going to give her a run for the money????????”

At this point, I personally am looking seriously at Ted Cruz. Notice that I am not making (fantasy) predictions about an election that won’t take place for at least 3.5 years (unlike you).

I believe my original comment was, “if congress does it’s job”. What are the odds of congress actually doing their jobs?

Yes, the skies are a vivid blue today ( at least in West Central Florida it is)…how many people did YOU have to ask to get a consensus?

WHERE DID HE GO?? SURELY NOT?? STILL THERE IN THE OVAL OFFICE?? NO WAY! THEY WERE SO SURE!
I was always confused about the “one term” thing anyway because your same group had already assured me he would call off the 2012 elections and make himself a DICTATOR! REMEMBER SEEING ANYTHING LIKE THAT HERE AT PARANOIDVILLE?? BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME!!

Bud, 2001-2008 really happened and it wasn’t pretty and it wasn’t popular in the end! That is the reality of why Obama was elected! The people wanted a better America!
Americans know the history of embassy bombings BEFORE Obama! Americans know about the targeting of citizens like MS. Plame before Obama! Americans know about the 1000 private phone calls eavesdropped on illegally by the FBI under bush! You may deny but they know! They have memories and some of them get their information from unbiased sources! This ain’t one of them!!!
What I did get this morning is the satisfaction of knowing bush and repugnuts are not in the White House! God is good! Allah be praised!! Just kidding! Don’t believe in either of them and my Constitution says I don’t have to!

          • Average_Joe56

“Bud, 2001-2008 really happened and it wasn’t pretty and it wasn’t popular in the end!”

            And your point is?

Why do you always assume that just because we are conservatives, we must have approved of Bush? True conservatives did not agree with Bush’s’ policies. We also don’t agree with Obama’s policies.

You have confused Conservatives with Neo-Cons, a major difference and therefore a major mistake on your behalf.

Your answer seems to be, “Blame Bush”, while ignoring the reality that:

            1. Bush has been out of office for 5.5 years.

            2. Obama has been in office for 5.5 years.

            3. Obama has not removed Bush’s policies.

4.Obama has doubled down on Bush’s policies and outspent the Bush administration threefold.

Before giving the usual, “The Republican’s are keeping him from doing what he needs to do” spiel, I will remind you that Mr. Obama is infamous for using the “Mighty Pen of Doom” to write E.O.s like there’s no tomorrow.

The difference between you and me, is that I can admit that Bush was not good for the country . You can’t admit that Obama isn’t any better than Bush and is in fact, worse than Bush.
            You, are a “party hack”.
I vote my conscience, not the party line.

We have agreed on many things in the past and disagreed on a few (I’m AJ, using my FB acct.). That is to be expected with almost any subject. Everyone sees the world from a singular viewpoint, their own. That viewpoint is formed from all of their personal experiences throughout their entire lives.
No two people will ever agree 100% on every issue, it’s just our nature.

          • Ted Crawford

I can remember the time when this was true even in politics! Two different Ideologies, same goals, different concepts of how to achieve them. I remember many “Lively” discussions between us! Saddly that ended when the Progressives finally succeeded in purging all the Liberals from the Democrat Party! The last Liberal Democrat I remember was Gary Hart (D) Colorado, discraced by his own party for failing to toe the Colorado Democrat Party Line in 1988!

          • http://www.facebook.com/CapitalistAtBirth Greg Murphy

Obama was elected because of a poorly informed and un- educated populace. Unfortunately, my plan to have a general knowledge of the English language, current events, and civics would probably eliminate most of the useful idiots, such as yourself.

          • Jeff

Literacy tests like they had in the South? Do you get to write the questions? First, ask White Guy 1 when the Titanic sunk. Second, ask White Guy No. 2 how many died. Third, ask the Black Guy their names and addresses. I’m sure anyone who disagreed with you would fail the test regardless of knowledge. Surely even you are not so deluded as to believe in such tests.

          • Ted Crawford

HELLO, Earth to Elda! Are you there Comrade? Bush hasn’t been in office for nearly 5 years! One would think even a Progressive would be aware of that! WOW !

      • Doug Risch

NC….do all caps make you feel more powerful in your lame literary pursuits? You’re obviously blind to reality and your type would follow Stalin if he were in office.

      • Al Chemist

Better luck next time? Actually, I would prefer honest an honest election for the president.

    • Farleyagain

What I want to know is: what did he do or not do that so angered the puppetmasters that they have turned the dogs loose?

      • Al Chemist

I’m not sure I know what your question is, but we (Conservatives)are angry. There is a long list of what he has done and not done. To summarize: We (Conservatives) are angry that Obama and his administration are attempting to turn this turn this nation into the United SOCIALIST States of America.

      • Wellarmed

I think Al Chemist misunderstood your observations/comments. I too also wonder what the puppet masters found objectionable?

        • Farleyagain

Just got word he’s asking Congress to “end the war on terror” and bring it into the courts. Since a war on a tactic can never be finished, this might be the thing that got them angry. Neverending wars make them SO rich. Calling it off is such a good idea in my opinion: there is no easily identifiable enemy and there is so much collateral damage and not only to bodies of innocent bystanders, but also to who we are and to our budget.

  • Robert Zraick

This country has not been so divided for a century. The division is deep. Racism is playing a part in, it but just as much racism from the Obama camp as the anti Obama camp, if not more. Obama is clearly a racist.
Obama’s legacy will be that he divided the country more than any President in our history.

    • Farleyagain

The racism has been coming from the leaders of the black community, has bled over into the hispanic community and has been overwhelmingly minor from the white community for decades. We also notice that this racism so prevalent in American discourse does NOT emmanate from the Asian community. The group with the highest test scores.

      • KG

Have you ever been to an inner city convenience store owned by Asians? They love the money they make off of the beer and cigarettes, but they HATE the customers.

        • Nadzieja Batki

The question is why do the Asians own and run the convenience stores and why aren’t the stores owned and run by the blacks who live in that inner city? But you already know the answer to that. You just admitted loathing your own kind. By the way no one is stopping the blacks in the inner city to buy the shops and run them.

          • KG

            Other than the white bankers.

        • WTS/JAY

          Hmm, a racist.

  • KG

All of the “conservatives” complained when our president, Mr Obama, authorized the raid that killed the biggest terrorist in our history (next to timothy mcveigh). If Dick Chenny wanted to kill some Democrats, what makes you think he wouldn’t? And then, after that, anyone he deemed “undesirable’? The tyranny against the American people is coming from the Religious Right Republicans. It started with Nixon, was propelled by Reagan, and realized under W. The real reason why people can’t get good jobs is because of conservative policy. If we built factories in America instead of places where people wear grass skirts, the America could become great once again. However, it’s not the cost of labor, but the maximizing of profits that allowed Republicans to trade our manufacturing for a BMW, At least they could have bought a Cadillac.

    • Chas

KG. I am a Conservative and I didn’t complain when OBL was brought down. You apparently feel the need to come down on anyone that does not proclaim a rabid, radical view. Your views are painted with a brush too broad. What do you mean by “The tyranny against the American people is coming from the…”? Or, “…can’t get jobs because of conservative policy.” I might understand you better if you used specifics with your argumenmt

      • KG

I am being specific! What vague about Religious Right Republicans? What “vague” is the false accusations against our President. Those Bengazi emails were edited by the “conservatives”. I am laying the blame of our suffering on the TRUE cause, not the cause I want it to be (like what the RRR here do). Anybody with a hole in there butt should realize that our nations woes have nothing to do with the present prez, but conservative policy that has strangled our republic and raped it for profit rather than investing in America.

        • Doug Risch

KG….get professional help and stop railing against Christians. They are not the cause of the problems you are stating. Your hate for them is far too revealing.

          • Flashy

I believe KG was not “railing against christians”…he was criticizing the Religious Right..aka American Taliban,.which has no scruples and violate their own creed daily..

          • Vigilant

No Flashy, you and KG have demonstrated on a daily basis that you have an abject misunderstanding of what the term “Conservative” means.

You both use the term interchangeably with “Republicans,” “Right Wing Republicans,” “Religious Right” or any holder of non-progressive philosophy.

          • KG

That’s because they are all the same. You want to lump Democrats in with socialists even though any socialist will tell you THEY don’t like the Democrats.

          • Vigilant

“That’s because they are all the same.”
Thank you for proving my point. I rest my case.

          • KG

So you do admit that a Conservative is the same as a religious right republican as well as a libertarian. Now it all makes so much sense.

          • Nadzieja Batki

If they don’t like each other why do they follow the same ideology of which the end result is the same.

          • Flashy

Vig…what I would once think of Republican being Goldwater and Rockefeller occupying the different spectrums of Conservatism, today they would be considered “liberal”. Democrats which i considered Conservative would include Sam Nunn and Scoop Jackson. At best, those two would be “liberal” and worst socialist.

When people on this site state Reagan was more liberal than conservative, you know things have gotten out of whack. .

          • Vigilant

Flashy, you’re right with regard to the shifting sands of political sentiment and labeling. Perhaps 50% or more of our difficulties in converation arise because of communication problems.

The words “conservative” and “liberal” are words that mean different things to different people, and are generally used on this site only as ready-packaged, emotionally charged epithets rather than objective descriptions.

Compounding the problem is that there are few true “purists” when it comes to political sentiments. It’s possible to be a fiscal conservative and social liberal at the same time (Barry Goldwater) and vice-versa. Over the years, the distinguishing lines between Democrats and Republicans have become blurred.

For me, the key to our national plan of action is called “the Constitution.” The beauty of that document is that it accommodates all political sentiments, left and right. The major differences in how changes to law are approached, to me, defines whether one is progressive or conservative.

          • Nadzieja Batki

But you don’t know anyone from the Religious Right so your comment is a lie and you don’t have any scruples that would keep you from lying or hating.

          • Flashy

Who said I don’t know anyone from the Religious Right/ American Taliban?

          • Average_Joe56

          • Ted Crawford

Mr. Jefferson felt the same way. “It is as useless to argue with those who have renounced the use and authority of reason, as to administer medicine to the Dead”

          • independent thinker

“Eventually, they will seek out other campsites, in search of food.”
In some cases (flashy comes to mind first) it will make no difference because they are paid to come here and make their comments.

          • Average_Joe56

As BobL pointed out earlier, flashy will even have conversations with his other personalities when nobody else responds to him…lol

          • Nadzieja Batki

Even Flashy’s handlers have a tolerance level for usefulness that he cannot meet even if it is low and he can be canned. His handlers possibly believed that this site could be easily overwhelmed by Dems/Progs/Leftists and dismantled. If God is for us who can be against us.

        • Vigilant

“Anybody with a hole in there [sic] butt should realize that our nations [sic] woes have nothing to do with the present prez.”

Then, to be logically consistent, you admit that your “Wall Street loves Democrats” is a crock.

Actually conservatives complained when Obama revealed the team that got bin Laden (we think, since the body is not available). Many of those men are now dead after very suspicious assignments (Extortion 17) reminescent of the story of David and Uriah. This administration has been shown to engage in more treasonous and illegal actions than any in my memory. (Although, LBJ may own that spot.) He needs to go.

      • KG

Thanks for the reply, but no, I haven’t read any Tom Clancy – I’ve been studying our monetary system since the crash of 2008. Something just wasn’t right. The rabbit hole is very deep, but it does have a bottom, and Obama is not it.

NORMAL LIBERAL STRATEGY: Create a “straw-man” argument (fiction) and then attack it as if it were real (read any one of their posts and try and dispute that fact). How funny, because straw man arguments usually come from straw men who, like the Scare Crow in Oz, have no brains and cannot create real arguments against real facts.

  • Flashy

What a hoot PLD has morphed into. Not a site known for deep discussion of the issues and problems facing our Nation, always a bashfest of the TP/American Taliban trilogy of fear, anger and ignorance in feeding red meat to the needy extremists…it has morphed into a daily slam of the president. Facts lacking? make ‘em up. Gold diving in price? Create something to dear, and then tell the minions there is a solution if you buy the book. Create a conspiracy overlooking the underlying basics logically leading to a policy or action. Absolutely link every mis step of a gargantuan government to the president having direct knowledge and directing the errancy. And, best of all…one week state a position..and the next week ignore that and take an opposite stance. (that’s gets a chuckle almost weekly)

.Can’t say one can really blame PLD for going further into the realm of extremism though. Every issue “warned” about, every outcome which was “absolutely going to occur” …. has proven not to be. Of course, many cannot be proven or disproven, as in the “upcoming collapse”. Economic reality is ignored as the extremist positions on all front are shown time after time to be based in fiction.

One can hardly wait for the PLD article taking the stance that, like the NE and Hurricane Sandy relief…Oklahoma needs no federal aid or assistance. Oh wait….the GOP wacked which took that stance about the NE is now demanding and insisting immediate federal aid and assistance for Oklahoma !

Or another article about how we need to cut spending, cut spending, cut spending…and show how Europe is headed down the road to fiscal Armageddon…(failing to point out that the Europe had followed the ‘cut spending’ creed and has suffered and entering a long period of stagnation).

Or how the energy policies of the administration are dooming us. Again failing to point out that in just ione state one state, California, is increasing energy output by over 1,633 MW in 2013….none from fossil fuels. And that the US is on pace to be a major world exporter of energy.

Yep…a bashfest against one person…the president. No solutions, no rational discussion … create a fear from nothing, hype it and make people angry over the fear created, and assure them there is a solution…if they buy the book…

      Dear Flashy,

You write: “Not a site known for deep discussion of the issues and problems facing our Nation, always a bashfest of the TP/American Taliban trilogy of fear, anger and ignorance in feeding red meat to the needy extremists…it has morphed into a daily slam of the president.” And yet you come here daily with a dose of ad hominems and straw men, never providing a counterpoint to the arguments made but rather resorting to logical fallacies and non sequiturs and, at one time, multiple personalities in which you conversed with yourself. You obviously have a personality disorder and suffer from a form of self-hatred. Do yourself a favor. Unsubscribe. If that is outside your ability, either because of intellectual defect or lack of self will, let me know and I can handle that for you. I realize that will be a drain on your finances, as you are a paid hack, a DNC operative, a member of the online Obama army. However, it will do wonders for your mental health and self esteem. There is really no sense in engaging in self flagellation. So disappear yourself. You’ll feel better for it.

      Best wishes,
      Bob

      • Flashy

Mr. Livingston…while i don’t believe I have ever personally attacked you, nor made false statements of you, I cannot say the same in return. That being, nothing could have buttressed my points made in my comment above more than your response.

        Thank you

        • http://personalliberty.com/ Bob Livingston

          Dear Flashy,

You write: “while i don’t believe I have ever personally attacked you…” You, sir, are a liar.

Your post began, “What a hoot PLD has morphed into. Not a site known for deep discussion of the issues and problems facing our Nation, always a bashfest of the TP/American Taliban trilogy of fear, anger and ignorance in feeding red meat to the needy extremists…’In included, ‘Can’t say one can really blame PLD for going further into the realm of
extremism though. Every issue ‘warned’ about, every outcome which was “absolutely going to occur” …. has proven not to be”…as in the ‘upcoming collapse’. ”

As this site is mine, is edited by me, has contributors chosen by me, and most of the words herein are written by me or my paid staff operating at my direction, those statements are a direct personal attack on me.

You write: “nor made false statements of you…” Implying that I have made false statements of you? I have not.

You write: “That being, (sic) nothing could have buttressed my points made in my comment above more than your response.” The same can be said of you. Your gratuitous insults broad brush ad hominems, circular reasoning, fallacies of division and red herrings have grown stale.

          You are welcome,
          Bob

          • Flashy

Mr. Livingston…the site is different than your own statements made. If you choose to hold out all that is written for the site is, in essence, your words, then yes i stand corrected. I myself would hesitate in saying such, but if that is your stance, so be it.

you also add … “Implying that I have made false statements of you? I have not.” We disagree. Boy howdy do we disagree.

And as for your opinion of my forecasting and opinions stated here? Well…seems most of what i have written about cause and effect have pretty much come along as i opined. BTW…have you seen the price of gold and silver of late? I’ll say gold is due another 10% drop by end of July…silver anywhere between 10-15% depending on Europe. And if China’s economy continues the downslide (remember my many statements concerning that issue?)…I’d look for another similar decline in gold by end of the third quarter.

Is that your short term outlook?

Where would Flashy go? What other place would find his prodigious, and astounding level of stupidity amusing?

          • http://personalliberty.com/ Bob Livingston

            Dear Flashy,

The short term outlook on gold and silver prices is irrelevant because the price is being manipulated by the bankster criminals–who are dumping paper gold and silver–rather than by market forces. One of your heros, George Soros, has dumped millions in paper silver. He’s replacing it with physical silver. Physical silver is almost unavailable at present, yet the price is tending down. Ask yourself why it is defying the history of supply of demand. Your comment indicates that despite your 3-plus year presence here you still have no basic understanding of why I suggest people accumulate physical gold and silver and keep it in their possession. That’s because rather than attempting to educate yourself you’ve spent your time spewing your progressive collectivist claptrap. But I understand you have a job to do. The collapse has already began. Those with open eyes see it even though it’s being “papered” over at present.

Paul Craig Roberts has been reporting on the manipulation.

Flasho with his usual rant about the TPers’ fear, anger and ignorance. What’s to fear? How about the IRS to begin with! Then there’s always the DOJ which seems to be on a rampage against the press, claiming national security. Screw the first amendment, right flashman? Then there’s the Benghazi situation, which seems to have a different story coming out of the White House every other day. Supposedly they only made one stylistic change, then we find out the talking points were rewritten twelve times because the State Department didn’t want to give Congress anything to sink their teeth into! Try telling the truth for a change. Ignorance? Seems to be personified by this president and attorney general who never seem to know about anything? Really? A national security leak of epic proportions and Holder doesn’t know anything about it? He doesn’t inform his boss? What a crock! The IRS targeting conservative groups and the two idiot directors know nothing about it? I suppose some low level employees just took it upon themselves to do it? Yeah right! Now we have this Lerner woman pleading the 5th before Congress! The president’s staff knows about the scandal, but doesn’t tell the president? The supposed smartest president ever, we find out, doesn’t know sh!t. And yet you, flashy, keep defending this administration as if their God’s gift to earth. You, sir, are the biggest fool that posts on this board, and what’s even worse, you should know better.

By the way, The Washington Post is the mouthpiece for the establishment and any information it passes along has been vetted by the PTB. The fallacy of the source you’re hanging your hat on is revealed in the close, which states, “When future generations look back on the scandals of ourage, it’ll be the unchecked rise in global temperatures, not the Benghazi talking points, that infuriate them.” Except that: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-22567023 OOOPS!

I don’t believe President Obama has any control of when and what “opposition” does. ~ That “opposition” has taken the “winds of opportunity” to launch attacks against him in a “one two , three punch combination. ( Head, heart and wind) in an effort to administer a knock out blow to damage his leadership creditably has failed Mr. Myers. he is still standing.

To opposition credit, ~ they (with your help) have dominated several news cycles for as many weeks and sold a lot of “copy”

For my part, the more beneficial thing I’ve seen to come out of all of this, ~ is the fact ~ that any administrations policy and commitment can be greatly effected by congressional funding or lack of it. ~

The success or failure of ambitious policy hangs in the balance of funding. ~

With 290 millions dollar budget cut in overseas embassy security staffing ~ in 2010 by congress. ~ The Executive office should have made up the difference by moving around resources or downsize it’s ambitions.

If this “adjustment” was done at all, it was not done well and this dreadful incident in Benghazi the results.

That is what opposition is left with to make “Political Hay” of ~ and a valid argument I might add. .

In re; Benghazi. it now looks like Benghazi wasn’t a State Dept territory more than a CIA outpost . As more and ore is revealed, we now know that some members of the House Committee on Intelligence (GOP and Dems) the day after Benghazi asked Petraeus to make sure nothing of any secured nature was leaked to new members, that the WH signed off on the first memo almost immediately, and that it turned into a turf war between State and CIA…resulting in the sanitized talking pints Rice was given.

It is telling that the GOP leaks of the emails turned out to be….selectively sanitized themselves. There is no “there” there…so they created something to wave in front of the cameras…not saying what THEY knew and when they knew it. • Deerinwater

Off topic, personal attack duly noted as well at your Handle. ~ Can we expect more of this?

        • hungry4food

Dear Mr Winkler you call that a personal attack when all it is is a simple noting that your oozing over a false sense of security is costing you your integrity and that a cleansing of that will help Mr. Winkler ?
Mr. Winkler what will you do when these kinds of events take place during a Conservative Administration because this Administration is setting a dangerous precedent for the next and one after that and so on until every facet of this Democracy is lost and we the people oppressed .
Today we have ONE THING , ( here is the one thing ,http://money.msn.com/business-news/article.aspx?feed=OBR&date=20130522&id=16298362 ) , Keeping the Wheels of Oppression from Happening and much of it is the result of a Intrusive Policy making Administration that has derailed the REAL ECONOMY with FEAR and DISTRUST and this My Friend is why I say You are making a Fool of yourself by OOZING over this President and his Administration and Law makers on Capital Hill that support this president and Administrations Policies !!!!!
Now getting back to your claim of a personal attack , is this the same as what happened to those in Benghazi that called for help Fought Like HECK for their LIVES while those that could have helped were told to stand down and oppressed this TRUTH , is this what you would consider a personal attack on the False Sense of Security I am criticizing you for having and Leading people to think is OK ?????

Oh Should we Include the other 2 Issues that Threaten Democracy in the USA too Mr. Winkler regarding that false sense of security debate we are having ????

Funding? Do you actually mean confiscation of wealth? As usual it is best to ignore your posts for lack of factual or intellectual content.

  • Robbie

As more and more actual information comes out about these so-called “scandals” we see that they are not scandals at all.

    • Flashy

funny isn’t it. I see it as a sign of the extremists yelling louder as they get pushed more and more to the sidelines. The general public is seeing the extremist crazy contingent as those who complain, make stuff up, take the most irrational of stances…then blame Obama for everything. I see this year as one of the most stalemated of all as the paralysis of the GOP comes to the forefront.

One more “crisis’ that shouldn’t be…maybe the debt ceiling, perhaps the budget, and the fight is will open and bloody as the 2014 elections come up.

The mainstream rational GOP (and their corporate backers) view the extremists as shoving the party into a regionalized party bent on nothing more than criticism, whining, and lacking any solutions. As the public turns even further away…and the immigration bill has every promise of that along with any failure to see a budget process continue…the big political fights in 2014 won’t be the Dems versus the GOP. It will be the GOP against the GOP.

      • hungry4food

ROBBIE and FLASHY Is this what you would be saying if this was happening under BUSH ?????????????????????????????????????

        • Jeff

It wouldn’t happen under Bush because the “Tea Party” is just another name for “right wing Republican” with all the baggage that label carries. The Tea Party has effectively purged the Republican Party of most of its reasonable members, leaving the party stupid and crazy. This has been recognized by prominent Republicans like Bobby Jindal and is being openly displayed in the Virginia gubernatorial race.

  • Doug Risch

This is what happens when the American people vote in a radical liberal socialist. He can then hide behind “color” (his mother of course was white) and continue doing his damage to the American people. His “Obama care” which is driving premiums through the roof and will cause billions of dollars we cannot afford was primarily for minorities. A large percentage of them will not work and are able bodied, but continue to manipulate the federal system for handouts and monetary “gifts” by moving from place to place after they’ve drained the area they lived in. It will further bankrupt our country, but this is on Obama. Best of luck to liberals during the 2014 elections. Their disgraced President will be an anchor to their selfish ambitions.

    • http://www.facebook.com/CapitalistAtBirth Greg Murphy

Obama has stated on several occasions that he is for retribution for slavery. He also, if you remember his conversation with Joe the Plumber, has also stated that he is all in favor of redistribution of wealth. Of course those members of the lower strata would love someone with those types of plans. The unfortunate thing is that none of them, have evidently, read “Animal Farm.

  • red neck

We all need to watch for the next false flag event that will be used to distract the sheeple from the current issues…. I think that we all can understand that no matter what happens this criminal administration will stop at nothing to distance itself from what it calls irrelevant laws that have been broken… Do not get your hopes up that obama will be impeached, I do not believe that will ever happen.

    • http://www.facebook.com/CapitalistAtBirth Greg Murphy

You need not wait for the next false flag ( I wasn’t aware that any of these are false flags.) There are several economic crises on the horizon. The student loan, housing, bond market, and stock market bubbles. When the begin to pop. I certainly hope you and I will survive the emending calamity.

      • http://www.facebook.com/CapitalistAtBirth Greg Murphy

Yes,the housing market has not hit bottom, yet.

        • Flashy

MR.OBAMA does not care about America he has his eyes on the world. He has been asked to be the leader of the new world order that is where his golds are,but first he has to destroy America.for his plans to become the worlds leader if you don’t think so good luck

    • Karolyn

Do you seriously believe that Obama’s “golds” are to be leader of the new world order? How do you come to that conclusion?

Wow, Karolyn, once again you have proven the theory that there is a sucker born every minute.

I wrote a thoughtful, polite to Skippy about the EPA and the response was removed. What’s with the censorship? It seems to go against what this site is supposed to stand for. here it is again.

    Skippy-

    • Karolyn

I saw your reply. It is posted where you wanted it. Sometimes are weird with Disqus. I have found times where the post I wanted to respond to has disappeared.

    • festmatt5440

      The EPA ‘ isn ‘t about our interests ‘ ; its all about , ‘ control ‘.

  • Rocketman

I guess it comes down to whether we are a nation of laws or of men. Our founding fathers put everything that we need to keep this nation strong and secure but the further that the “progressives” take us from what the fathers gave us the more that we need to hold onto the basic principal that all men have to obey the same laws without exception. Obama needs to be held accountable for his actions the same way that anyone of any color needs to be. Dr. Martin Luther King once said that a “man should be judged not by the color of his skin, but on the conduct of his character”. It seems to me that cuts both ways.

  • Jeff

Be afraid. Be very afraid. The scary Black Socialist Kenyan Muslim is coming for your guns and your toasters. Buy gold. Buy lots of gold from every right wing crook you encounter. Preferably in coins or some form where you pay a healthy premium for the privilege of making people like the author rich. Obama will be removed from office when Myers quits fear-mongering or when Hell freezes over, whichever comes first. He will serve his two terms, leave the country in much better condition than it was in when he arrived, and then he will leave office. And you right wing idiots will still be comparing him and every subsequent Democrat to Hitler, Stalin, Nero, and every other “bad man” your tiny minds can conjure. Truly pathetic, Myers. Truly pathetic.

    • http://www.facebook.com/CapitalistAtBirth Greg Murphy

Why do you call people who do not agree with you right wing idiots? Is it, perhaps, because you yourself are a useful idiot. As usual it is better to not spend time reading your posts due to the lack of factual or intellectual content.

      • Deerinwater

Well, Greg Murphy not everyone calls them “idiots” , only some people.

I can’t find a single word or a phrase that accurately describes all of them without offending someone that would not deserve it.

But you feel free to carry on with what you are doing ~ it’s works so well. ~You input here ~ confirms suspensions and leaves no question in many people minds ~That this is not the time for complacency or the tolerance to ignore you completely ~ you and the 13 million Americans like you require address. ~ Take comfort in knowing that you have been listened too and that you will be met, you will be accommodated. ~

We have got a nice rubber room in the back that you should find most comfortable and all shape object have been removed for your own personal safety . There is many wonderful actives for your amusement. ~ the punch bowl is always full ~ and you get to “bob for french fries every Wednesday. ~ It’s always a big noise night!

John Meyer’s says , “I share some excitement in knowing that Obama is ruining his Administration and his legacy. But I remember a saying my mother had: “Be careful what you ask for. You just might get it.”

I say, ~ Oh really? ~ excitement? ~ I guess I need to watch TV to see what all this excitement is about! ~There is nothing on my radar. ~ I was not aware of “any ruining” ~ So you want him AND his legacy ruined? ~ That pleases you ? ~ Mr. Meyer’s

That really does sound very American to me. ~ or Christian either for that matter. I’ve always thought “Good Will” was one of our Christian virtues, ~ Excuse me, ~ but it seems to be missing here?

What would it take to get you to conduct yourself like one ? ~ To forgo the next election process all together and allow you to personally hand pick the next President? ~ Would you find that as “acceptable?” ~ I’d enjoy seeing and hearing a happier cadence , is that what it’s going to take? ~ If you can’t muster the ability to win an election ~ the rest of us spot you an election cycle so you can be a happy American once again?

Might it be only then, we might have one nation, under God with liberty and Justice for all?

I would never wish my President to fail! Not Nixon, not Ford, not Reagan, not H or W Bush. ~ for when my president fails ~ I too see my nation failing. ~ I know that it’s only a mental thing perhaps ~ but I’ve come to accept it. ~ America is my home, my team ~ for better or worst.

How did President B.O. ever become so disassociated with America in your mind? Clearly ~ you must see him as an alien.

But he is not. ~ he served in the high chambers of the US Senate after coming up the old fashion way, ~ educating one self in law, graduated with the highest honors offered, taught law at a university level, working as a junior in practices of law, ~ became political active and doing volunteer work that affected the well being of his community in a good way. He courted and married at woman of similar character and pedigree that shared matters of conviction and had two American children. ~ sounds like the American story to me.

America ~ A nation comprised of immigrant’s who sought freedom from social casting where a man’s worth was not judged by what he owned or who his mother was, or where he comes from but by his good deeds and the song in his heart.

    • guest233

Obama has been in office 5 years and we are still waiting for things to get better. Not only has it not gotten better but under Obama Americans are more impoverished and the misery index has never been higher.

      • Jeff

Really? Things are worse than in January 2009 when the economy was literally heading off a cliff? It takes time to recover from a financial industry disaster like 2008. Because we regulated the banks after the 1929 Crash and the Depression that followed, we didn’t have another financial disaster for at least 55 years. Now that we’ve repealed Glass-Stegall, these crises will happen with much greater frequency. You, of course, will blame the next one on Obama and Dodd-Frank while the truth is while Dodd-Frank didn’t do enough, the Repugs (bought and paid for by the Banks) have been chipping away at it and it will soon be meaningless. The Banks are getting bigger, the coming disaster will be bigger, and we’ll have to bail them out again because the banks own the Congress (particularly the Repugs).

  • paradisegary

The UNITED STATES is a nation of laws. If it’s proven that a law or laws are
broken, resulting in impeachment, and more laws are broken in protest, those
lawbreakers need to be swiftly and lawfully dealt with and not tolerated.

  • KG

“…if unsocial or unworthy treatment of human beings
calls for resistance, and as long as no lawful and judicial
authorities are created for the abolition of these evils, the
struggle can be decided only by the stronger.” Adolph Hitler Mein Kamph

    • Vigilant

Typical of a socialist to quote another socialist. And the ultimate hypocrisy, of course, coming from a man who was guilty of the most ” unsocial or unworthy treatment of human beings” in the twentieth century.

Whatever can be your point, KG?

      • KG

The Right is just as culpable as the Left.
And BTW, Nazi -isim was only “socialist” for the “white, aryans.” Most definitely NOT a socialist position.
        What color/race are the proletarians?

        • Vigilant

          Absolutely idiotic remark.

Communism/fascism/socialism/naziism are all statist parties of the left. One of the biggest hoaxes perpetrated on the world was to promulgate the myth that naziism was a right wing ideology.

On the left/right line, statism of all forms is far left. Libertarianism and anarchy are on the far right.

No Conservative would EVER advocate Nazi statism, and your implying so is a typical Communist position and entirely a misrepresentation of the truth..

          • KG

So, the “military, industrial complex” DOES NOT REFLECT NAZI IDEOLOGY?

I think it is telling when you refer “libertarianism and Anarchy” as ‘far right’. Selfish basturds and businessmen who need no rules to follow. That’s exactly – EXACTLY – the ‘conservative position’.

Add a little ‘modern christanity’, and you have a T-bagger.

          • Vigilant

You have made it a habit of ignoring me very time I challenge you with naming just one comment out of the thousands posted from conservatives to back up that claim. To date, you have come up with exactly ZERO.

          • KG

I haven’t ignored your request for “proof” of the claim that Nazis were right wing, conservative, nut balls. It’s just the fact that YOU WANT to be ” willingly ignorant” of the facts of history. People like you complain about “revisionist history” or “ruling from the bench”. However, the right wing, conservatives are just as guilty of those crimes, By lumping the “enlightened” men of our founding fathers into the “modern Christianity” selfish, self-centered philosophy, you rewrite history with no problem.

I know I will never convince you. That doesn’t worry me. It’s just the nut balls who take this stuff seriously that worrys me.

          • festmatt5440

Go back ‘ , into your closet ‘ , and stay there ‘.

  • Zenphamy

Imagine ‘Uncle’ Joe Biden as President!
DHS has begun using a Microsoft video analysis software that indeed analyzes postures, nervous actions, patterns, etc. to predict future bad acts. ‘Minority’ report is already here. This time not backed by drugged out ESPers, but by supposed ‘scientific’ biometrics of our everyday activity.
Wakeup people. The only workable option is for the we, of ‘We the People’ to stand up and loudly say – enough! Then take their power back into our own hands, never to let them sneak it back again.

  • Dirty Daug

There will be big trouble ahead if Obama is impeached and then also big trouble ahead if he is not impeached. But I’ll take the impeachment even if it means big trouble ahead. The good people of America are the ones with the guns, so a bunch of low life’s without guns starting a civil war makes for a short war. Will we allow this present Administration to overthrow our United States Constitution and its legal processes to amend injustices, or, will we honor our obligations to defend the Constitution against a “domestic” enemy? Everyone should think about all of this for awhile, even the people in the White House and the low Life’s who voted for Obama.

  • jdbixii

Interesting that the last time, of really significant importance, that lethal force was used against the people of the United States was the Civil War, fought to free slaves and affirm the authority of the federal government vis-a-vis state’s rights. Tragically ironic it is that, having been freed for over 150 years, members of the minority who benefited from that horrendous cost of lethal force should now think it appropriate to use it in “some extraordinary circumstance.” Being black and in power may be an “extraordinary circumstance,” but that it is justifying of the use of lethal force to maintain it would certainly be unconstitutionally extraordinary. Since freedom is not free, those who desire it are willing to pay the price for it. Can the same be said for those who would enslave us?

    • Wambli525

Appropriate to your point is the following:

“You guys have been practicing discrimination for years. Now it is our turn.” ……. Thurgood Marshall, (first black Supreme Court Justice) as quoted in William Douglas (1980) The Court Years 1939-1975

  • popham

Our biggest fear however is that in order to save his presidency and
protect his legacy, Obama will do literally anything, including a false flag
operation, allowing him to invoke all those intrusive executive orders
signed in the last two years.
    Good luck, America.

I think two little words says it best…..RICO ACT!

  • http://twitter.com/jopa52078396 jopa

Our President is the leader responsible for taking out the top terrorists in the world, from Bin Laden to the Somali pirates. These so called scandals are frivolous and total BS as time will show and he doesn’t appear to be rattled in the least. His poll numbers are actually on the rise in that the majority of Americans trust and believe in our leader and rightly so. I know most of you live in a fear filled conspiracy type world and it must truly be frightening for you, but their really is no boogieman under the bed so just grow up and grow a set.

    • Wambli525

Jopa: These scandals are not at all ” frivolous”. Point of history … As You may be aware that Richard Nixon used the IRS to harass his enemies and that was not at all a “frivolous act” because it became one of his impeachment charges. Obamas history, especially in Illinois/ Chicago politics, was rife with the similar shenanigans.

Obama is in the middle of at least four scandals any of which may rise to the level of “High Crimes and Misdemeanors”. That can mean IMPEACHMENT. If Obama is indeed connected to any one of these scandals it is not frivolous but “SERIOUS” as these are crimes against America, The Constitution and Democracy.

The best way to solve any issue regarding all of these scandals is to have Special Prosecutor’s investigate as was done in the Valarie Plame scandal. (You recall that one don’t you?)

Lastly, bad behavior is not dismissed based on good behavior. The good is rewarded and the bad is punished. Maybe you are the one that need to grow a set and get over spewing partisan rhetoric. So Jopa, have a nice Memorial Day week end and please remember to honor those who serve(d) and those that have fallen defending our freedom.

      • Jeff

Scandals? Hardly. Iran-Contra was a scandal. This stuff is simply not. Bengazi was an attack on a diplomatic facility. We’ve had dozens of them over the past several decades. You think anything bad that happens under Obama is a scandal, but 911 was never blamed on Bush?

The IRS? The IRS was doing its job investigating 501(c)(4)s for political activity that would negate their eligibility for tax exempt status. Perhaps they used improper categories or “flag” words, but none of the tea party groups was denied tax exempt status. One progressive group was so denied. None of these political groups is entitled to tax exempt status under the law. The real scandal is Karl Rove, the most purely political operator in the country, runs a 501(c)(4). If this were political in nature, wouldn’t his tax exemption have been denied?

Nixon used the IRS to harass and audit his political enemies. If you think this nonsense even approaches that misuse of power, it’s no wonder you equate every tinpot dictator to Hitler.

  • real talk 1

Well one thing is certain we can’t continue down this road we are on ,and if we are diverted to take another then so be it those that will be behind such atrocities for sure can’t stay here in this country and they will lose if they try and turn the military against the people of this country after all what would they have to gain, HOLDER and who ever must and best remember that they to have family in this country and no is going to sit idle awhile the military go on a killing spree, eye for and eye etc etc etc
