Obama’s Agenda-Pushers Having Trouble Finding Amnesty Supporters

Organizing for action, a nonprofit set up to push President Barack Obama’s agenda, has put forth considerable effort in organizing rallies aimed at convincing lawmakers to get on board with amnesty-heavy immigration reform initiatives. Despite its massive 13 million-member email list, however, the organization seems to be having a tough time rallying supporters for amnesty.

From Huffington Post:

Organizing for Action, the nonprofit policy advocacy arm formed to push President Barack Obama’s agenda, gathered only eight people to rally outside of the Merillville office of Rep. Pete Visclosky (D-Ind.) on Monday to push the congressman to support reform. The congressman was not actually in his office at the time. …

…OFA members in southeast Tennessee made a slightly better showing, with 20 people coming out to rally in celebration of the Senate passing an immigration bill. And OFA organized 25 people to rally outside House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) West Chester Township office Monday.

A speech by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) drew hundreds to a rally in support of immigration reform in Las Vegas on Monday.

After the Senate passed a comprehensive immigration reform bill on June 27 by a margin of 68-32, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) indicated that the House would apply some breaks to process. Rather than up the Senate bill, Boehner pledged to pass a House measure. Boehner also said that he will invoke the Hastert Rule, which requires the majority of the majority to support a bill before it comes up for a vote in the House.

House lawmakers are set to take up the immigration debate in coming weeks. Republicans in the lower chamber insisted Sunday that they plan to change key elements of the Senate-passed immigration bill.

A black group recently came out in strong opposition to amnesty, and is staging a DC protest including Allen West and other speakers.

I submit that the gang of 8 and those in the Senate who approved the Amnesty bill weren’t expecting the backlash that’s occurring in the Black Community.

This DC protest to oppose Amnesty is being organized by a group of Blacks, might just be the undoing of the Amnesty bill. Will be interesting to see.

I also see where Lindsey Graham took a real drumming this weekend from his constituents over his part in the gang of 8 in drafting the bill and supporting it..

Do I hear defeat on the horizon in his 2014 reelection.

Black and Hispanic, law abiding or not, tax paying, or not, citizens stand to lose the most if amnesty is granted and you know the border will never be sealed under this pResident.

There are only so many seats at the table for entitlements. With unemployment at 25% or higher for middle and lower class, wage earning citizens, the percentage will be higher for Blacks and Hispanics that work on the books, above board and pay taxes. Resources will be thinner.

The new, more disadvantaged class will corner the market on government resources and they won’t be paying taxes.

It’s going to get ugly. Citizens of all colors will lose any preferential hiring, preferential acceptance to higher education, preference for grants and scholarships, housing, health care, legal services.

They’ll experience preferential representation without taxation and citizens will experience what brought us to revolt against King George III, of England, disenfranchisement and taxation without representation.

Who’s going to pay the taxes? Do you think it’ll be the same fictitious 1% obama said would be paying the taxes? They all contributed to his campaign and got their tax cuts! We, the middle class will always pay the taxes. democrats spend it and we pay it. As high as our taxes are, they’re still spending it faster than we can pay it and they’re borrowing it from China. China who has a target on our backs is who we owe almost $8 Trillion.

We need to sack this guy and get an American born, American raised President that knows what liberty is.

If amnesty goes through, all those illegals from south of the border will eclipse the blacks for being in the ”preferred minority” status/perch. You would think that the ”African-American” community would be up in arms about this, simply for their own, self-preservation.

Changing key elements????? what elements? This is just more double speak. The immigration bill will go through and the Afro-Americans will find themselves in a situation where their ‘ messiah ‘ has failed them and resort to protecting their own interests at the expense of the Spanish speaking Latino’s from the south who they see as usurpers of their rights. This is a bomb waiting to go off. What are these people really up to? Is it just for votes? Have they absolutely no moral fibre left? When did America decide to make it’s own people redundant and irrelevant for the sake of a few greedy power mongers retaining their positions of power? It is wise for them to remember that the wrath comes from all sides when there is anger and distrust and they are creating a situation which they may soon live to regret.
