Obamacare Train Wreck Continues

Since the online Obamacare insurance exchanges opened last week the government-run healthcare websites have been plagued with problems. The government is currently working to find solutions to the online glitches, but it isn’t likely to find many ways to make the process of signing up for government healthcare more pleasurable for uninsured Americans.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters on Monday that Obamacare users will now be shuffled into virtual waiting rooms as they attempt to sign up.

While Carney contends that the Obamacare websites are crashing because so many Americans are rushing to sign up on government healthcare exchanges, a Wall Street Journal report notes that hundreds of people have signed up:

About 30 million uninsured people live in the states the federal marketplace will serve, including Texas and Florida.

So far, Web-traffic problems are allowing only a small trickle of buyers, said John Gorman, chief executive of Gorman Health Group, an insurance-industry consulting firm with clients selling policies on the exchanges.

Large insurers have seen enrollment figures totaling in the hundreds each, said Sumit Nijhawan, chief executive of Infogix Inc., a data-integrity firm that works with such insurers as WellPoint Inc., Aetna Inc. and Cigna Corp.

And after failing miserably to successfully sign up for the healthcare on an exchange last Tuesday, CNN tried again. The result was unsurprising.

Meanwhile, the Obamacare Facebook page is being flooded with negative comments (there are some positive, but few):

In Conclusion…

I do believe that DEATH CARE…Is “On The Road Again”…Straight to the SCRAP HEAP OF HISTORY…

      • Deerinwater

It’s funny how no one wishes to accept their death ~ everyone want to go to heaven but no one wants to buy a ticket.

I die a little each day ~ between understanding that and the wondrous grace of a loving woman’s many charms are the only things that keeps me fighting on.

i still plan on having great tomorrows ~ while today might suck!

        • http://www.thefreedomtrainusa.com/ FreedomTrainUSA

I am not at all sure what your point is????

          • Deerinwater

we are not getting out of here alive ~ regardless.

        • Oldmonkey

Oh! So you despise Teddy Kennedy for in addition to using every drop of his subsidized healthcare? For calling in every political favor, twisting arms, and paying out of his own pocket to keep his sick sorry behind in this world as long as possible?

Teddy Kennedy could have led by example if he really believed in his snake oil. Teddy didn’t get a ticket to a nice place; Teddy enjoyed underage prostitutes, and call liquor, with of some of the most despicable dictators in South America paid for by US Taxpayers. Teddy didn’t give healthcare to his employees, but not because he couldn’t afford it.

Truth be known ODUMBO administration couldn’t run a bake sale let alone a national Health Care program. I notice Carney conveniently mentioned Republicans as a road block in reality ODUMBOCARE is indeed a TRAIN WRECK Costs are HIGHER for less coverage.

The public has been purposely kept in the dark and only when some “official” website opened did it garner interest. alright kiddies are your checkbooks ready to pay the fine oops tax for not getting ODUMBOCARE?

            Maybe not yet.

          • speedle24

Dave, let me try to explain this to you. No, you can read the entire ACA law and nowhere will you find the term “death panel” or anything close to that, but here is the way it works.
In the free market costs will rise until people refuse to pay for the service. If few people are willing to pay the price the price will come down. When the government controls costs (as the ACA will), and complicated medical procedures or drugs become expensive the feds will have 2 options. One is to raise taxes to pay the increased costs, and two is to ration the services. This is inarguable. “Rationing” is just another term for “death panels”. I am sure you can figure out the rest.

          • Deerinwater

well, certainly , ~ you could call Heath care as Death care if you wish.

Permit me to thank you from the heart of my bottom for pointing this out to us.

          • speedle24

Think nothing of it Deer. I am always ready to help those in need of intellectual boosting.

          • Robert Messmer

There is a third option–nationalize health care with set prices. Actually with the government’s out of control addiction to spending money that we don’t have, what Obama needs to do is go to the UN and declare that money is now obsolete ala “Startrek”.

          • speedle24

Price controls are the absolute worst possible option. It cannot ever ever work, and this has been proven time and time again. Government has no place in the pricing equation.

          • Deerinwater

            It’s a glass half empty thang! ~

          • gomurr

I’m sure there are no “death panels” in the guidelines for The National Service in the UK, but you might want to see how many elderly patients they “disposed” of in the last year by simply ignoring them.

        • http://www.thefreedomtrainusa.com/ FreedomTrainUSA

My reference above was not to the Death Care Bill…But to how well the Implementation of it is functioning…or in this case…NOT FUNCTIONING..

And I have the same confidence that there is No Death Care and NO Death Panels at the same level as I believe that the “Little Boy Dictator” could run a Successful Lemonade Stand….And that confidence would be at ZERO…

        • jaybird

Wait until one gets cancer or something else and they are denied coverage because of their age, I still doubt if the light bulb will come on.

          • Vis Fac

OH NO according to all the experts here that would never happen for there are no death panels or anything negative about ODUMBOCARE.

It;’s so sad people have been brainwashed to the point of being stupid and unable to be realistic.

I think this obamacare is a scary thing , just like the penalties for us on medicare. I feel they both violate the constatution. I have been writting the government since I was in highschool about preventing the elderly, the disabled and veterans from becoming homeless and my local politicians have always passed the buck instead of protecting our constatutional rights. I live in California and regreat ever being in this country.

    • daveH234

So move the hell out already you idiot!!! Don’t like Shut the F##k up!!!1

      • John

Hay daveh234 I would love to move the hell outI never wanted to live in this country to begin with but when IT was a small child in Africa, the americans that brought me here murdered my family and brought me to this country against my will. This country destroyed my homeland that I was born in. They also mutulated my bodyto make it impossable to for me to restore what Ihad.If you want to help me leave this country I will gladely accept your donations.

        • John

Hay daveh234 why should people be forced to pay for health care if they don’t want the current health care programs, and why should they be penalized for their decision. Is that what freedom realy is? What is your defintion of freedom?

no sir. ~ that is what’s happening. today ~ The “roll out” shares the same time frame as a government shut down.

      As Popeye would say, ~ What a “ko-winky-dink” !

      • Robert Messmer

That is what we would say is a pretty flimsy excuse, They had 3 and 1/2 years to work on the roll-out so since the Republicans are not the one’s controlling the “government shut down”, it is all on the Democrats that the system is not working.

  • Carlucci

Just read in the Laissez Faire newsletter that
all of this Obamacare hysteria is designed to distract the public from
the real intentions of D.C. Obamacare has but one purpose, and that is
to fail in the next 18 to 24 months or sooner. This
is all by design. The real objective is a 100% takeover of the entire
healthcare industry – health care will be nationalized, like you see in
the U.K. and Canada. It will become a “single payer” system with the
“single payer” being Fedzilla. Check this out on You Tube where B.O.
says he happens “to be a proponent of a single payer health care plan, a
universal health care plan.” Single payer means only one thing –
Fedzilla is the one payer of services and THEY will decide who gets what kind of care if any care at all: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAz0qzes8hI

    • Karl Dulaff

Of course it was designed to fail. Private insurance companies will have to raise rates due the massive influx of dead beats. The left will then proclaim 24/7 that the “greedy” insurance companies are the problem. Our neo-Marxist gubmint will then push for single payer and GET it using the same unconstitutional trickery with which they got 0care passed. I guess we’ll have to borrow more and raise taxes to pay for it.

    • daveH234

That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard written…your a liar!!!!!

      • Diane Ringen

        It may be possible.

        • Deerinwater

well if the GOP is so certain of failure ~ why not allow it to fail to prove their position?

We already know that they are doing everything in their power to make it fail ~ so way not just allow it to happen and be in the position of saying “I told you so”?

or does a Federal Government default without knowing whether or not it will work seem more appealing?

          • speedle24

Deer, if someone is pointing a gun at your head telling you it is not loaded, but you think it is, do you really think it is a good idea to let him pull the trigger to “prove your position”?
This is no damn game with the prize being able to say “I told you so”. We are talking about changing the economic and societal culture of the country here – a fact that seems to escape those who like to think of themselves as “moderates” (to me they are sheep). The hard left knows exactly what is going on.

          • ron

the repubs are the same as the dems…they want you to believe they are fighting for you when in fact they are all in this together…they know what they are doing and none of it is for We The People… btw the correct usage is “why” not way…go back to school and pay attention this time instead of standing in line for those free gov’t lunches

          • Diane Ringen

You ask one question after another without telling us what your position is or what you think.

      • speedle24

No Dave, he is spot on. Even the administration’s morons know very well that the ACA has zero chance of succeeding. The ultimate goal is what has always been the holy grail for progressives – single payer (Medicare style healthcare for all). You don’t seriously doubt this do you?

        • Carlucci

          Thanks, speedle24. BTW – I’m a she, not a he.

        • Carlucci

          Thanks, speedle24. BTW – I’m a she, not a he.

      • Carlucci

Ridiculous – ? Ovomit himself says it in the YouTube video from 2003 when he was the speaker at an AFLCIO meeting. How can that be “ridiculous”? However, YOU are ridiculous and it is obvious that you are a troll. BTW – the correct usage is “you’re” a liar not “your” a liar. You must have gone to school just to eat your lunch because your grammar sucks – ! Bugger off, troll -!

does anyone understand that the fines we pay for not signing up or having insurance is what they are really after?!! Think of the money brought in at tax time…billions!!!! Redistribution of wealth….take from us and the rich get it!!!

Great! ~ we have won a great battle in a huge war of ideas ~ and live a full life while you can live what is left of yours after you wallow in contempt , personal misery and negative thoughts. Thanks for asking!

America went through much the same battle with Medicare. ~ and we won that battle too!

God’s rain and sunshine poured down on both the wicked and righteous alike. While the world belongs to the devil and like a hungry lion he will seek you out.

This is not our home, you were told so.

  • Diane Ringen

Congress should step back and let Obamacare fail all by itself.

    • speedle24

That’s a bad idea Diane. Social Security (as it has evolved) is a bad idea that cannot be financially viable as it is, but do you think the public will stand for “letting it fail”. Once Obamacare gets a foothold, it will be like trying to take candy from a baby.

      • Diane Ringen

Thanks for your input. I talked to a woman at my work today. She told me to never log in to the healthcare website as she knew someone who did and when they found out they would have to pay $588 a month with $13,000 deductible tried to close out. But when they did, it flagged their income tax forms that they had no insurance which wasn’t true at all as he was comparing it to insurance he Already has. It just wasn’t a good deal.

        • Robert Messmer

LOL That’s funny! How would any one know if it flagged your tax return, which isn’t even filed for this year yet?

          • Diane Ringen

I am just repeating exactly what the person said. Many people do file their taxes online and records are kept.

          • Robert Messmer

Oh I have no doubt about that. I do not think that you are making it up, the point is when she told you this yarn that is the question you should have asked her. See this is how so many of the scams on the internet spread because people just repeat what someone told them without question. Yes many returns are filed online but I doubt that anyone has filed their tax return for the tax year 2013 since we still have a couple of months to go before it is over.

Shut down Obama’s golf course! Don’t fund it ! And while we are at it, since he lives in a house on federal land and has shut people out of their houses because they need the federal roads to get to them. Quit funding the White House and make him find someplace else to live, like he did to these people! Quit funding the White House! Quit funding Camp David!

i think you just described Obummer and the Dems…good job bringing this to light..i would never have known without your post!!!

  • Dumpthekoolaid

This is still so new, that obama supporters can still talk about the “positives” of this trainwreck of a law (I’m not seeing the “affordable” in the affordable care act, our insurance company just dropped our policy we’ve had for many years, as it doesn’t meet the “new standard”…our rates are skyrocketing!). But just give it a bit more time and the wheels will come completely off. This whole thing is a hot mess from the first page to the last. This will cause huge increases in all of our premiums, reduce quality of care, cause doctors to retire, cause new levels of fraud we’ve never even imagined, etc. Give it enough time, and the water-carrying libs will have to go hide in caves, as it will soon be obvious to everybody (not just the informed class that has a shred of common sense) that this is the beginning of the end of the greatest health care system in the world (oh wait, Michael moore says it’s worse than cuba’s. In a couple of years, he will be correct!)
