  • Fifteen months after the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi which killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, the narrative of the attack continues to be shaped, and reshaped, by politicians and the press. But a New York Times report published over the weekend has angered sources who were on the ground that night. Those sources, who continue to face threats of losing their jobs, sharply challenged the Times’ findings that there was no involvement from al-Qaida or any other international terror group and that an anti-Islam film played a role in inciting the initial wave of attacks.   • At least 14 people were killed and 28 injured Monday morning by a suspected suicide bomb attack on a crowded trolley bus in the Russian city of Volgograd – the second such attack on mass transit in the city in as many days. Russian law enforcement agencies said the explosion was a terrorist act and that they suspect a connection between Monday’s attack and a suicide bombing on Sunday, less than 19 hours earlier, at the city’s main railway station. Born in Alberta 43 years ago last Sunday, Senator Ted Cruz was unaware of his dual nationality until The Dallas Morning News explored the issue in August. Since then, he said in a recent interview, “I have retained counsel that is preparing the paperwork to renounce the citizenship.” He expects to complete the process in 2014.
