Obama: We’re Not As Divided As Pundits Say

LOS ANGELES,  (UPI) –  President Obama campaigned in Los Angeles Sunday night, telling supporters he’s working for all Americans and “we’re not as divided as our politics suggest.”

Addressing a crowd at Nokia Theater that included George Clooney, Jennifer Hudson, Jon Bon Jovi, Katy Perry and Stevie Wonder, the Democratic president delivered his stump speech, noting his accomplishments during his first term and that unemployment was down to 7.8 percent from a high of 10 percent.

“Manufacturing is coming back to America. Home values are on the rise,” he said.

“Now, we’re not there yet. We’ve still got too many Americans looking for work, too many families who can’t pay the bills, too many homes underwater, too many young people graduating with too much debt

“But if there’s one thing I know, we’ve come a long way and we’ve come too far to turn back now. The last thing we can afford right now is four years of the very same policies that led us to this crisis in the first place. I cannot allow that to happen. I will not let it happen.”

Obama said he recognizes that 47 percent of voters didn’t cast their ballot for him in 2008 but he works for them nonetheless.

“I’ll be fighting just as hard for you as I am for somebody who did vote for me — because I’m not fighting to create Republican jobs or Democratic jobs; I’m fighting to create American jobs,” Obama said. ‘I’m not fighting to improve schools in red states or blue states; I’m fighting to improve schools in the United States.

“The values we believe in don’t belong to any one group or one party — they’re not black or white, or Asian or Latino or Native American, gay, straight, abled, disabled — they are American values; they belong to all of us.

“And I still believe we’re not as divided as our politics suggest. I still believe we’ve got more in common than the pundits tell us. And most of all, I still believe in you. I still believe in you, and I am asking you to keep on believing in me.”

He said he’s asking for their vote and their help campaigning so he can “finish what we started in 2008.”

We’re not divided, huh? If we aren’t then Obama has failed again. Since day one, all this scumbag has tried to do is divide us by economic standards and by race.

I think to be sincere pays and president Obama is demonstrating just that. His views and perceptions are not left or right, neither his approach to America liberal or conservative. Despite been a democrat he actually doesn’t look like someone with label. Let’s trust someone who is cool and calculated than an extremist in orientation. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr says “black supremacy is as dangerous as white supremacy”. He saw race within the context of what America’s founders believed, a right for all. President Obama re-echoed this when he a black man said he was not a black president. He is the president of the United States. And those really using the struggling economy he inherited with enormous job losses to lambast him should really be sincere to take a deep investigation into where the United States was when he took it and where it is today. You don’t have to be a prophet to believe that the future is promising. And by the way Americans cannot now give up on the call of JFK when he challenged all Americans “Ask not what your country can do for you”. President Obama alone without the cooperation of congress cannot perform the miracle even if he promised it. I think we can admire him for his courage in maintaining his focus even when the guys on the other side from the day of his inauguration sort to make him a one term president. So now people are not looking at that but to call him a liar because he promised heaven on a civil platter. Let no one bewitch you Americans is time to believe president Obama when he says “We are in this thing together”. Those who lead us into the fiscal ditch are now telling us “You need to be responsible: 47% of us cannot pay income tax; We will vote for him because of food stamp; borrow money from your parents to go to school or start business; prefer a voucher to have destiny over your own health with insurance companies taking the stage again; even though their parents were immigrants they believe that those coming in this era for the American dream as their parents did should face self deportation; repel Obama care while the recession still bites; they accuse us of believing in handouts and not jobs when the have the money in offshore accounts and reward companies that ship manufacturing jobs abroad. Look these are not mere words and don’t take them for granted. For the Bible they claim to believe in says “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh”. And as “a man thinketh so is he” the bible also says. When the GOP candidate start saying is exactly what he is going to do. So he can sugar coat it now like a bate take it and see what the future hold. An nu-examined life is not worth living. The sooner you realize that Obama is sincere in his comments the better we all will understand what we are.
