This is not only an Apples and Oranges comparison it’s at the best naive. The tax rate were much different back in JFK’s day and the wealthy were paying a fairer share. It’s the time since then that they’ve created more loopholes than ever. Obama’s tax increase on the upper percentage won’t get us close to the parity that JFK had. Bob.. I’m ashamed of you not realizing this.

    • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

And shame on me.. Obama’s not increasing taxes.. he’s just allowing a totally inappropriate tax break to not get renewed.

      • Killian

Yea, and you’re not on your favorite obuma [offensive words removed] like it’s the best stuff in the world HuH! Really you people are fools, total and complete fools, as I sit here listing to you people that think odumbass is his own boy, you know runs his own house type of thing, That’s when I realize just how far reaching and destructible this governments dumbing down in its education process of this nations people has actually been completely successful! Read that last section carefully, Then you will realize that the master had his own children put into slavery with his own money and effort, and did not think, Operative word there is did not think, and let someone else make his life choices and since then look at what has happened to this nation! No where in the constitution does it say our government has the authority to involve itself in education. Look at the schools and tell me that it’s working! IDIOTS. That’s why Jefferson said no man-dated government church [offensive word removed]! This is the very problem! TOTAL INDOCTRINATION! OF ALL IN ITS REACH!!! WHICH MEANS ALL OF YOU AND YOU [offensive word removed] KIDS! CORRUPTION AT ITS FINEST.

        • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

Killian.. you’re a total whack job and can’t see beyond your desire to insult every one who refuses to buy hook line and sinker the bait you swallow. You check my posts and see if I’ve ever backed Obama. I;ve got knee pads on Drinking his piss? You are so far off base. Obama’s a shill working for the new world order bankers and industrialists, as are all politicians unless they stand up to be counted and the only one who’s come close to that is Ron Paul (on the Fed) and (I know you’re gonna love this one) Dennis Kucinich when it comes to corporate control.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Duende,
I’m from Northeast Ohio and if you think Kooksinich is an honest stand-up politician that even comes to Ron Pauls sock tops, you are totally drunk on koolade and higher than a kite on something that you should bottle and sell! Dennis “I saw a UFO” Kucinich is nothing but a pork chasing fool!!!

          • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

Hey Joe H. I knew for sure bringing up Kucinich would elicit a response. Kucinich had every special interest in Cleveland against him when he was mayor. A privately owned energy company wanted to own Cleveland’s power and light authority. An authority that sold electric at much lower rates than the privately owned company. The bankers pressured him to sell it out to the private concerns that the bankers had invested in. Kucinich refused and the banks put Cleveland into default. He’d also alienated some of the good old boy democrats by being an idealist who wasn’t going to blackmailed by the usual thugs. Regretfully these spiteful predators ran a slander campaign against Kucinich that still has people suckered to this day.

A few years back there was a major black out across the northern US but Cleveleand which still had automony of it’s power and light because of Kucinich’s actions still had it’s own power. Kucinich was more recently given an award in recognition of this. I was a videographer in the Bay area. My friend was Kucinich’s official videographer when he came into the area. I helped her when he came into the area. (not knowing who or what he was). I got to see this guy in action and how he handled him self behind the scenes. When cameras were turned off and people had lost plane tickets. All kinds of situations. All I can tell you is that he’s a real people’s person and is always talking about the corruption of the political system by big money. now Joe.. I’m sure you know all of this but I’m putting it out there for others who may not have realized that Kucinich was a target because he stood up to these greedy SOB’s.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Duende,
next time you talk to him, ask him about his UFO that he swears he saw!!! and as far as the power outage that extended as far away as Canada and some of the eastern states, I’m from Eastlake, the city that supposedly caused it!! I probably know more about it than you do! Also, Kooksinich has brought more PORK to the cleveland area than any other of the reps there before!! voinovich, who followed him was the mayor that led Cleveland to prosperity just by basically not overspending, and shrewd business practices!! seems to me if kooksinich was the best thing since sliced bread that you try to make him out to be, he could have very easily done it as well instead of bankrupting the city and being recalled!!!

          • DaveH

They are talking about you, Duende:
            http://mises.org/daily/4125

            Own it.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Duende,
            What, no answer to that?????

          • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

Joe H. So you don’t believe people have spotted UFO’s. I spotted one once near White Sands proving ground in New Mexico back in 1970 or so while in the military. It was the biggest freaking thing I ever saw in the air. I think it was a prototype of a 747. When I worked out in Long Island for a summer when I was 17 a group of us saw the strangest damned thing you could imagine. Might have been a prototype for a lunar landing module or something. Now.. they were UFO’s since they were unidentified at the time. However if you think it’s impossible for there to be other life in the galaxy that could visit us with unimagined (as of yet)propulsion technologies then you seriously have a limited mind.

          • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

Dave.. I read the article. For me it was typical of the type of writing that defends the unregulated abuse of power.. be it economic or other wise. Do not confuse wealthy with elite and I’ll try not to as well. There are people who have made money for them selves using imagination and hard work and not at the expense of others nor the resources of our common ground, the planet. I only wish to see them pay a fair share of taxes and have limited loopholes (which allows too many to pay less than their share) On the other had there are the elite and or the wealthy who have made their money from the sweat of the backs of our forfathers as well as our selves. They have raped the environment and left us with the costs of cleaning it up. They have manipulated our military and our government into wars where only they benefited and our young men and women died. These elites have no sense of loyalty to any country or even mankind and only see humans as tools for their ends. If you want me to own that I’d like to see these predators brought into line then fine. I stand tall.
I started to run for president out of total frustration one year because there were no candidates addressing what interested me. I spoke to about 8 people (3 were acquaintances) and got 8 votes promised to me if I ran. My platform was that all Americans should make their first million dollars tax free. The taxes needed to run the country should be taken out of their 2nd million and on up. I also stated that out institutions, government, corporations , healthcare and more should be here to serve the American people.. not the other way around. I quit running because John Hagelin from the Natural Law party was running and he’s brilliant.

killian, you are one of the few who can see the truth. what we do to combat this onslaught of liberal anti freedom culture? of course i will ,and am fighting for the republic, but i do not see a victory, at best a delay of the horrors of socialist business killing , shortage driven gulags etc. where can i go to avoid this eventuality ? shawn corrigan

    • Killian

Are you really that naive? Really? Then you are really part of the problem! And that problem is the Stupidity of Mentally deranged people that think if you take more away you get more! You and your ilk are Total Fools.

      • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

Look here nut case. This is about Kennedy and his policy. If the tax policies (and other policies) of the 60′s were still in effect we’d have never had this fiasco. Democrats and Repulicans both have whittled away at what redeeming structure there was to this country till what you have is the total rape of the american (and world) public.

        • s c

D, you had a chance to define what you meant when you threw in ‘and other policies.’ Because you breezed through your response, you left the topic open to doubt. Ergo, your implication seems to assume that we can read minds.
We don’t, and we have no plans to try. WHAT policies? If you left them out on purpose, then I will assume that you have something to hide. Next time, make it CLEAR what you’re trying to say. Implications are for philosophers and those who specialize in a form of ‘trust me.’

          • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

Other Policies would most certainly include controls on the financial institutions that ran a muck.. and of course Kennedy was trying to get controls on the FED if not out right making them useless. So see… no dark secrets.

          • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

P.S. I am a philosopher.. aren’t we all in our own right :-)

          • DaveH

It wasn’t the banks that caused the boom and bust, it was Government:
            http://reason.org/news/show/what-caused-the-meltdown-a-fin

You aren’t a philosopher, Duende. Philosophers use logic. You use emotion. Wishful thinking isn’t logic.

          • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

Dave Dave Dave Dave Dave… the government is controlled by the banks and other corporate interests. The government, specially under Regan, rolled back protections that would have kept the American from being raped by the financial predators of wall street and implemented programs that allowed financial sharks to make a killing.. again a the expense of the American people. Regan was able to do this because he was popular… notice that no Democrat after wards ever put those protectiuons back nor wanted to. They’re all in it together.. Republicans and Democrats, representing not only a US elite but a global elite. Am I emotinal about this.. not really too much.. a bit resigned somewhat when I come to a web site like this and heard some really promising talk concerning the FED and world banks, CFR etc and then get hit with main stream right wingers screaming at main stream left wingers.. and they’re both buying the illusion being sold to anyone willing to not challenge their own belief systems. Dave… Dave… what are you doing Dave? (HAL)

    • http://www.facebook.com Magee,Robert H.O.

President Obama should let Bush’s Tax break for corporations and few wealth individuals expire, but keep Middle class tax cuts.

This is a tax that applies to a majority of tax payers. This will keep the confidence of many people have for their government.

Republicans need to do this as they move to help corporation receive similar treatment in the near future when the economy is back and more Americans have gained confidence to spend their savings again.

That would mean that together we will afford generating badly needed jobs in the process while affording relief to middle class and small businesses ability to bounse back to sustain the employment.
We do not have to keep fighting on this issue because there is no Republican, Democrat or independent not willing to see the country prosper.

I’ve read with interest two of your posts which contrast your astuteness with the stupidity of others and conclude that you are actually a sick individual in need of psychiatric intervention immediately if not sooner . Not only are your post steeped in ignorance but you are filled with rage .Perhaps your lack of
mental capacity is feuling that rage.In any event go to the border but control yourself .The people you encounter there will perhaps be Mexicans or others from the imporvished nations to the south.Note; the word is spelled ” VILLE .” If it’s your job ,then do it ,but not with that attitude. If you’re arbitrarily going but not in an official capacity you’re actually a terrorist .

      • Casey

        Dear Mr. Magee,
Corporate taxes are really taxes on us. We pay them when we purchase goods or services delivered by the corporations. Simplistic, perhaps, but true.

        • Erich Hoefert

Your obviously highly intelligent. Too bad the vast majority of voters don’t think that far!!

      • Erich Hoefert

What good is it to give the middle class a tax break without giving their employer (the rich) at tax break? If businesses feel squeezed their just going to take away employee benefits or slow hiring practices or raise the price of their products. So you see you can’t really hurt the rich without ultimately hurting yourself!!

  • H Stan Boring, PHC, USN, (Ret.)

Evry time BHO tells one of his so obvious whoppers, this video should be played right behind his remarks. You might consider also Kennedy saying, “A rising tide lifts all boats.”

    Chief Boring

    • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

“A rising tide lifts all boats.” How true. and the elite bankers and industrialists have been draining the harbor while totally controlling the national and state level politics of this country.

      • s c

D, you did it again. What you left out makes me suspicious. What makes you think that ‘elitists,’ central bankers and corporations can get SQUAT without the focused cooperation of corrupt, career criminal POLITICIANS? Guy, methinks you are a closet progressive with a hidden agenda. Say what you mean, or risk being seen as just another plant on this website.

        • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

s.c. Of course the politicians are corrupt.. corrupt and complicit. Read the last part of my post “while totally controlling the national and state level politics of this country.” But when I saw “totally” controlling I mean both parties and even any party that tries to raise it’s head will be Hijacked by these elitist interests.. or at least try to. I watched the Green Party all of a sudden have monied candidate show up and try to take over things. One of the public radio networks, Pacifica all of sudden has a board of well groomed individuals who are trying to sell independent stations bandwidth allocations to the mass media. It was an attempted coup that was repelled by a grass roots movement.

  • EltonJ

Awesome. Kennedy was one of those Presidents who learned what it takes to be President from his health problems. He almost saved the country. Another 4 years in office and the Country would have been better off.

    • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

Amen.. however he was about to change the game and have the US print it’s own money again. He had managed to get about 4 billion in us silver Notes into circulation. They were withdrawn immediately when he was assassinated. The same people that orchestrated his assasination (or thier mental and emotional equivelants) are still running the show. Any politicain that won’t talk about this openly is guilty of perpetrating this deadly hoax. Of course if they did the talking heads on CNN etc would immediatley call them a oaranoid conspiracy theorist. Even thoguh som on FOX have alluded to the FED being an issue I’m still doubtful there would be a full on on discussion even on FOX.

    • chick

why do you think that he was shot..

      • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

        hi chick

He was shot because he wanted to get this country out of the control of the banks that controlled the Fed. He wanted the USA to print it’s own money. Same for Lincoln, Garfield and McKinnley. If you research any of these presidents you will see they were opposed to central banks and or wanted a gold or silver standard where the US printed it’s own money. They actually tried to assassinate Jackson but failed. Jackson called them a den of vipers and closed down the central bank. The connection between these presidents, their stance on national sovereignty when it came to printing money and eliminating central banks and their assassinations are unavoidable once recognized.

“JFK and Bobby” Yes, I liked both of them. I think they intended the best for America. At least, they are certainly better than some we have at this moment. Then I found out about JFK’s womanizing. All that came to light late on after his death. I was really disapointed about this. Why do men do this? It is a shame. And then Jacquie married Onassis, yuck.
I will never forget the day JFK was shot, the world came to a screeching halt. Unbelievable.
But why did they kill Bobby? Because he stood for the same ideals that JFK stood for? Because JFK tried to take on the Feds? Who really killed them? I have never understood the whole story.

  • JBB

    Duende,

What makes you so qualified to stand on your soap box and pontificate? AND a conspiracy theorist to boot! You don’t impress me. Whoever you are ashamed of, I am proud of on principle. That’s what I think of your misguided thinking.

WHEN will people realize that the Left is manipulating you by their endless talk of taxing the “wealthy” or the “rich”? Now, use your brain. Who are these “wealthy”? THEY SHOULD RIGHTFULLY BE CALLED EMPLOYERS AND SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS. THEY CREATE JOBS!

You think I’m naive? I think you are BLIND.

    • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

You think I’m a conspiracy theorist? If you’re not you’ve got your head up your a$$. That’s how they accomplish this .. right out in broad daylight with out any one saying anything except infantile squabbling over which political party is better when both parties are totally controlled by the New World order Personalities.

    • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

Small business owners are the wealthy???.. are you kidding me… these people and the working class are the heros of the country.

  • s c

Let’s keep this short and on-topic, folks. JFK rates an A+.
Herr Obummer rates at least one swift kick (wherever it hurts most), a session with tar-and-feather specialists, a one-way ticket to the country of his choice, an extended diet of crow and sour grapes, many slaps in the face with the brass knuckles of reality and America’s utter contempt.

    • BrotherPatriot

      Here Here…!!!

  • gmk

In my 80 yrs of Life, (4th generation of immigrant family) as part of the Middle Class, I have found that it is the so called “wealthy” that made the economy work by their investments in American ingenuity. They are entitle to any financial gains in return for their investments in out country. That is the American way. They are the ones who freely donate to charities and our poor. Government programs never did anything to lift the poverty stricken out of their circumstances. They just produce future generations to accept their station in poverty.
The wealthy are people who shoulder the same burdens on a larger scale than the middle class. They have earned the right to pay their share of taxes and to prosper. The “flat tax” is the answer to parity of every taxpayer doing their share to preserve the Nation. Lets stop trying to save the nations who don’t want to be saved. Stop the wars that do nothing to raise the lifestyle of those in the war zones. Politicians need to have term limits and stop thinking they are the saviors of the Republic. This is STILL AMERICA, and my own personal opinion.

    • ed

Although much of what you say sounds good I beg to differ that the rich pay their fair share or contribute much in the way of denoations to charities .You’re perhaps swayed by the Oprahs and Buffets of the world. It is the middle class and working poor that donate disproportinately out of their poverty. Are you serious about a flat tax ? Think on it. Social Security is a government program and allows many seniors to live above the poverty level . Medicare and Medicaid also.Libraries , Schools the Arts are primarily sponsored by government . The wealthy do not shoulder as the middle class !!!!

      • http://?? Joe H.

        ed,
i suggest you look into what Bill Gates contributed to charity last year!!!

        • s c

JoeH, Gates doesn’t rate a ‘free pass’ just because he gave a lot of money to charity. Gates is a Big Government suck-up, and he does that to act like he has distanced himself from whoever is in the White House.
Truth be told, you can put Gates and Buffet in the same category. Soros is another matter. Greed on steroids is a good way to look at Soros. When it comes to money and ‘leverage,’ Soros is probably Herr Obummer’s best friend. What a pair of flakes.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            sc,
I did not say he got a free pass. I was just replying to Eds post that the rich don’t pay their share of charity money! Another would be Bob Hope, Danny Thomas, Denzel Washington among others!!

          • Claire

JoeH–If I had that kind of wealth that some of these people have, I would certainly put the money to good use. I would help the veterans’ organizations, our troops and their families first, then the honest poor, the honest scientific researchers, and the environment including the wildlife. I would spend money on booting the illegals out of this country, regardless of nationality. I would rid America of the terrorist organizations that are already here. After all, when I die I couldn’t take all that money with me so why leave it for people to fight over? Geez, sure wish I had billions, I would do all this.

    • Casey

      Dear Sir,

It is encouraging to see a clear post that contains reasoned truth.

The “rich” certainly donate excess wealth to help others, support the arts, and endow education. They are also the creators of additional wealth which the rest of us can take advantage of in supplying the expertise to promote their ideas.

We read of many wealthy people who are not so responsible, but most wealthy people are not drawn by the spotlights.

I don’t understand the vitriole of most of these posts. Evidence is plentiful that lower taxes promote economic gain which increases revenue and employment. Raising taxes slows the economy and tends to reduce revenue. Revenue tends to max out at about 23% of GDP no matter what the tax rate is. Check it out.

When a society penalizes the producers beyond their willingness to be victimized, they retaliate by protecting their position, investment and wealth. They may move to another, less taxing location or even shut down their businesses. It is all as plain as can be. When you abuse people, they react badly to you. The wealthy are reacting right now.

In the meantime, the environment in this country tends to restrict the ability of the average citizen to accumulate capital. It is very hard to become wealthy because of the onerous tax code that we labor under.

It is as plain as can be. President Kennedy understood this. President Obama may understand it, too, but his actions indicate that he, for whatever reason, is not willing to follow that axiom.

i can not to comment about the American political because it is very complicated i am African but i saw the news every day it is talk the America ….

    • Killian

      Then Shut up!

      • Claire

Killian—You shut up. Who do you think you are? The person just posted a comment, he didn’t ask for the garbage you flung at him. Good Grief. And then we wonder what the hell is wrong with America.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Killian,
why don’t you just take a flying leap at a rolling donut!!! Bernardo has just as much right to comment as you do as long as he is a citizen or has his green card. As long as he came here legally, he has just as much right as ANY American citizen.

  • Killian

All of you commentators need to remember one thing and (only one thing) This country is being sold out! All of your comments and suggestions will do nothing to change the course of destruction this great nation is going to see. So comment all you want! Its for your own self security and self assurance that you make these comments. For you do nothing other than talk and write about things you know nothing about! This is one of the numerous issues that are destroying this great nation. All we have is a nation of dumb-ass talkers! No doers, just worthless talkers. Talk all you want, I have to go down to the border this weekend and defend our borders, which one of you worthless talkers are willing to come with me? If you’re willing meet me in Sasabee Arizona at the cattle guard on 286 just before you go into wetback vill.

    • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

Killian.. here I agree with you.. The Country IS being sold out. Where we depart is that you think it’s just Obama and crew selling it out and I say it’s both parties.

      • Claire

This country has been sold out for decades. It has been a long time coming and it has officially arrived.

  • Richard

The Emergence of Two America’s?…My prediction.

What do those two words mean? Let me ask you a question and see how many we could agree, on even somewhat, and then ask could this be a possibility to come? The Emergence of Two Americas.

Are these current times we live, the daily vitriol, the daily division, the polarization and finally the downright hatred we all see, we read, and we hear….even at times emerge when engaged in simple conversation and could turn confrontational more often than not…are these not troubling to you?

We all are aware change is about to come on Nov. 2nd and the balance of power in Congress may not be supportive of President Barack Obama’s direction and policy decisions already in place and future direction, with that a possibility, the new Congress may not fund Obama’s Program/s. Here is where the battle lines will be drawn. President Obama will hold Veto Power and Executive Privilege in thwarting any attempts at changing ‘HIS direction, and ‘HIS’ vision for America….Deadlock

The President will be in full campaign attack mode. Bolstered with his support base consisting of Strong Union support, The Major Media, Entitlement Groups, 88% Black Vote, Majority of Hispanic Vote, Majority of Youth Vote, Far left Vote, Progressive Vote, Environmental and Special Interest Vote,’Social Justice’ groups, among many, many other separate groups….and lastly, it is not out of the question, The Race Card will most certainly be raised and play a part and all the above used for but one goal….Political Ideologically Based Driven Power.

You think this could not happen? Just a whacko ‘Glenn Beck’ type of theory? If you do think it that way remember, and hold on to that thought 6 months from now…a year from now and ask that same question again.

President Obama has an agenda and there is nothing at all wrong with that and it is to be expected….Keep all this in mind when we have heard him state he would rather be a one term president, rather than a two term mediocre president…What does that mean to you?…He is telling you ahead of time he does not care what the nation thinks on the whole, for he alone, bolstered by the above factors mentioned, has the power and support to accomplish ‘His’ Vision, and ‘His’ America he desires…..Remember also his statement to the affect ” We Are Five Days Away From Making Fundamental Changes”….(How True)

So there you have it…The ‘Battle’ will start after November 3rd…and the ‘War’… will be decided 2012. It is between now and 2012, that will be one of our most dangerous and turbulent times we have ever witnessed, in current times, in America….It is about to embark.

    Which America, will Americans decide?

    President Barack Obama’s view?…
The president is an Ideologue, but he never plainly tells us what it is called, other than in common theme words such as Collective, Redistribution, Social Justice, in so doing, any and all who try to define President Obama ideologically, leave themselves open to be quite often attacked.

    Or:

An America based on our Founding Fathers view of smaller government under a God and based on ‘their’ idea of Our Constitution, ‘their’ idea of Our Declaration of Independence, and Finally ‘their’ idea of Our Bill of Rights.

    Which America will Americans Decide?

    • http://?? Joe H.

      Richard,
I wouldn’t count on that total youth vote anymore. It has been evaporating right before his eyes. That Black vote? It is lessening as well! There are still a majority of loyal, patriotic Americans in this country and a lot of them that DIDN’T vote will in November, I promise you that!!!

  • Richard

Hi Joe H…I do agree with you..to some extent. We must en masse, vote come 2010 and again 2012 to rid ourselves of Barack Obama’s ision for America.
It is my hope, America will survive this assault and perversion of what and who we are as Americans and for America itself, warts and all,….An Ideal. For no other nation has given so much, offered so much than any other nation in the world as America. The words of Thomas Paine once more return: “These are the times that try men’s souls.”
    Vote.

Once again the Livingstone ‘Ignorance factor’ is allowed to permeate the intellect stucture of the American people.

    • s c

RML, your comment has that stench of left-leaning arrogance that also describes Herr Obummer and his Robbin’ Hood camp followers. Confidence is one thing. Arrogance and an inflated ego go hand-in-hand, and you don’t seem to know the difference. Ciao, comrade.

I am sitting here wondering who Livingstone is -

        • Claire

          libertytrain–I caught that! Good one.

  • Jim H.

The tax cuts also need to be backed up with budget cuts. The irresponsible spending also needs to go, for it to work.

    • http://?? Joe H.

      jim H,
Now! A man that speaks the truth!!! So pure and so simple to see!!!

  • clynn

Listening to President Kennedy vs Obama lets us see just how far to the left the Democratic party has gone. History tells us that cutting taxes caused this country to flourish. Some of the older folks that vote for president Kennedy are still living in 1962 thinking that Obama has the best interest in mind for the country and they close there eyes to Obama global agenda. We need to do all we can to expose what is going on today.

  • clynn

Have you ever worked for a poor person? Or has a poor person ever created great business opportunity. I say Congress needs to stop spending the tax payers money like drunken sailors. We have all tightened our pocketbook and congress need to tighten there. This includes the State Legislatures, California is just one example of a state that spent there way into destruction and wants to tax it’s citizens to pay for it. This must be turned around. Vote the spenders out and vote in those who support business so we can get the economy going again. I am optimistic that we can get on track. We have come back from Recessions and the Great Depression and we can do it again.

  • John Pearson

The only thing you get when you subsidize poverty and failure is more of both. Taxes should be flat across the board.

  • Troy

I love that JFK was right on this. This should be used as much as possible so Democrats might let common sense and actual results sink in. It would be extremely helpful to have the stats showing the tax rates, SPENDING, unemployment, gdp, fed fund rates, velocity of money and let the truth/results speak for themselves. Do what works for our country and give the Democrat JFK credit, along w/ Reagan and GWB! talk all you want, but look at the truth/facts/numbers. Spending is the problem.

  • khadija

your national disgrace got us to where we are today ….first you made china fat and rich you use credit card coming out of your b.., you dont want no one to live decent but yourself, america oh america you are a sad people sadley you will never change its not in you feel sorry for the president, this country was going down anyway so you put a smart mutt in you new this was going on even in the 60-68 and even when bush came aboard, america didnt care about irag thats a game you play now its time to annyup…… we are in trouble dem. or rep….tea party!!! oh well!! who ever gets the ball still gonnafall after that we willget up but we got to fall. ilove america, its all i know. peace

    • http://?? Joe H.

      khadija,
speak for your self little man! Yes, I use a credit card, two of them in fact! The main difference to what you say is, I PAY THEM OFF EACH MONTH 100%!! I have never paid a cent of interest on either of them and never will cause I don’t spend more than I have!!!

  • http://hotmail.com Barbara

    Barb
I have always said that people should be taxed at the same rate, so people earning less, will pay less, and people earning more will, of course, pay more. I believe 20 per cent should be the rate for everyone. There is such a word as impeach, in case no one ever heard of it. Vote, vote, vote or else, don’t complain. Maybe we all could get together and use the ‘I’ word.

  • greyfox

I say, increase taxes and increase spending it’s the only way out of this mess. If we borrow anoter two or three trillion for stimulus an increase taxeson verybody, more and more people will have jobs and the IRS will get even more tax dollars to help pay for what we borrowed. You say this doesn’t make any sense? Why not? it makes as much sense as what Obama is doing. Higher taxes, higher spending creates more jobs to pay higher taxes to pay fr the spending. Christ, I’m a genius Obama should make me a the finnce tzar.

    • http://?? Joe H.

      greyfox,
careful, with that type of talk, he might!!!

  • Au Contraire

When the citizens of the United States were actually allowed to see
astronauts land on the moon for the first time the sound was cut off because of the comments that were being made by them upon their arrival. For instance
upon landing at the edge of Sea of Tranquility later tapes revealed the
astronauts telling their handlers at home that there was a large fleet of saucer shaped space craft parked at the craters edge, whereupon the astronauts were informed that they belonged to the U.S. Air Force.
There were other comments and evidence which has come to light of a huge glass dome over a mile high to one side of the landing area which was big enough to enclose an entire city. This was obviously of ancient origins because of the shape that it was in. You can find irrefutable evidence of that little bit and much more in a book called NASA the Dark Side which was a New York Times Best Seller by a brilliant journalist who along with Walter Cronkite was assigned to document the Space program and who has said that he only deals with evidence not conjecture. Do the research and quit letting your brain washing by the government cover ups show! UFOS are defined as anything that cannot be explained away by a duplicitous Government because they would not have the control they consider vital to keep the slaves docile and unquestioning and they use the truly brainwashed
    to do their dirty work!

  • Au Contraire

That’s also why the intent by the state is to make people think that other life outside our limited frame of reference is ludicrous, when what is really ludicrous is the idea that we are all alone in the universe.
Common sense tells us that thinking that we are alone in the Universe is a bit like insisting that the earth is flat and the sun and planets revolve around the earth.

    • Jim H.

Au Contraire, Were the MOON MEN for tax cuts, or for massive government taxing and spending?

    • http://?? Joe H.

      Au Contraire,
ATTENTION!! PUT DOWN THE BOTTLE AND BACK AWAY FROM THE BAR!!!

  • charles

The Tea party or Republicans need to run this wideo over and over until the message JFK made sinks in. Take charge of our own fate. Be not deceived by the ‘progressives’ New World Order. There are plenty of things that we as a nation have done both good and bad. We could do a lot worse than to return to The vision the Founders had for this country. ‘United we stand divided we fall’. Sometimes that’s from without and sometimes (like now) it’s from within.

  • shawn corrigan

duende, this is the problem that is destroying our great nation.your feelings should not be the factor to decide the fate of businesses.
yes there is wrong doing, dont confuse breaking the law with freedom. if a bank or company does something wrong, call the police. if there is corruption call 60 minutes. but do not judge someone because they are big, or because they are successful, focus on the foundation of the country, the law. if you condemn based on size, you become lawless, if you judge based on someones desire, and call it greed , you become lawless. this is the same as a banana republic. yes your frustrated that some big companies have done things that are wrong, expose them and they will fall. dont throw away the foundations of our great nation, because you are frustrated, let people be free to live, until they break the law, do not allow jealousy or you imagination to concoct badness, use the tool given us by our constitution ,,,the law.
if we throw away the constitution what do we have left, if obama can attack companies who have written contracts, flushing them down the toilet if he feels like it, what will you do if you get on his crap list ?? rosa parks stood by herself using the constitution as her defense, she broke no law,
companies small and large need to be able to rely on that,or they will leave or dissolve ,then where will get your products, obama will not be there for you.
