Obama Sneezes, Blames Republicans

Obama Sneezes, Blames Republicans

President Barack Obama has become notorious for playing the blame game. Whatever goes wrong, it’s somebody else’s fault. Now, one more thing can be added to the list: sneezing.

In a recent stop in Colorado, Obama had a tickly nose while defending his healthcare plan. You could tell that the President was trying to hold off sneezing. But eventually, he let it go.

After the sneeze, Obama said: “See, it gives me a cold just thinking about what they might do.”

When he gets lung cancer from all those cigarets he smoke, he’ll blame Republicans for that as well. He’ll probably say they forced him to start smoking.

    • Mikey

Clearly we need to get rid of Bush, not Obama. OH, we already did? He’s no longer in control of the problems? Hmmm, who’s fault is it now?

    • Cribster

I always thought he was goofy looking although I can see how some could find him handsome. Lately thought his miserable, ugly side is starting to show, I’m even seeing hints of evil peeking through.

      • JUKEBOX

Some people think bovine fesces is beautiful, but it is still bovine fesces, and it still smells the same.

      • Kate8

Ugly is as ugly does. It doesn’t matter what he looks like. His inner ugliness is all we see.

Hints of EVIL poking through, yup and a head, shoulders, it just keeps growing by the day.

  • Kinetic1

Funny thing about the “Obama Blames” list – if you google these “headlines” you come up with …… articles about Rush reading this list and the list. Oh, maybe you’ll luck out and find one or two coming from a conservative site, but the implication is that headlines about the President blaming everyone else for his failures can be found on everything from FOX to ABC. But Rush said it, so it MUST be factual, right?

    • Vigilant

That’s what I call the typical Alinsky technique:

      (1) Offer no substantive rejoinder to refute the accusations on a detailed factual basis

      (2) Attempt to deflect the message with irrelevant fluff

      (3) Attack the messenger

Rename “Rules for Radicals” to “Rules for Kinetic1.”

      • Robert Smith

Amazing how it’s impossible to refute the truth no matter how hard the extreme right tries.

The facts are it was the right that drove the American economy into a ditch and now they work against Obama and complain that he hasn’t gotten us out fast enough.

But the truth of it is real and common sense says we won’t turn control back to the idiots who put us into trouble.

        It’s that simple.

      • momo

@Robert Smith, how f’ing old are you 12? I wouldn’t trust Obama with running a pay toilet. He had two years of a Democratic House and Senate, and what did we get? An 800 billion stimulus, where we found out that those projects weren’t “shovel ready”, cash for clunkers, and Obamacare. Remember, unemployment was supposed to be below 6 percent by now.
The problem is we only get two choices, Obama and Romney, two sides of the same coin. Big deal. We need a third party!

      • Vigilant

More unsubstantiated drivel from the resident cretin. You’re apparently so unperceptive that you can’t see how much the Alinsky methodology applies to your above statement.

“Refuting the truth” was the task of the left in this article, not vice-versa. Provide detailed, credible refutation to one or more of the headlines listed by Mr. Nash and you may advance the argument (hint: the ball was in YOUR court, RS, not the right. Speak now or forever hold your peace).

Worse, you fall prey to the same sweeping generalizations that form absolutely no rational argument beyond bald faced assertion without detailed substantiation. It has a name: “propaganda.”

Your words are simply a waste of bandwidth that expand no part of the discussion prior to your screed.

        YOU are that simple, Rob.

      • Kate8

Robert Smith – Speaking of ugliness.

All I have to do is see your name on these threads and my stomach lurches in revulsion.

You are one disgusting human piece of…

I have to wonder if some people are redeemable at all…

      • Kinetic1

There is no point in speaking to the headline as it is obvious that Mr. Obama was making a joke. No one in his right mind (or perhaps ONLY those who are “right” minded) would believe that the President was actually blaming the Republican party for his sneeze. Mr. Nash, however uses this incident as an opportunity to accuse the President of blaming everyone but himself and, as proof chose to use Rush Limbaugh’s “blame list” as proof of the President’s propensity for blaming others. My first reaction was to search out the “headlines” on this list to asses their authenticity.

As I noted, repeated searches brought up few of these “headlines”, despite the dates Rush included (why didn’t he include the source?) Of the first 20, only numbers 3,4,12, provided anything like what Rush listed, and the first two are opinion pieces from right leaning sites. Number 12, “Obama Blames Bush for Deficits” should be no surprise. The policies of the Bush administration did send us plummeting. In his 2010 Labor Day speech, President Obama admitted that he knew it would take time to undo the damage left behind by those policies. Of course polls at the time showed that most Americans agreed with him!

        So, let’s consider your list.
        (1) Offer no substantive rejoinder to refute the accusations on a detailed factual basis.

If pointing out that repeated searches produced little evidence to support Rush’s list is not enough substantive enough, then what is?

        (2) Attempt to deflect the message with irrelevant fluff.

What is irrelevant about noting that the only news relating to these headlines seems to be “reports” of Rush’s list and reprinting of the list?

        (3) Attack the messenger

The messenger (Rush) appears to have given us a list without any evidence as to it’s authenticity. Who would you have me address my accusations to? Sure, I could ask Mr. Nash if he bothered to authenticate the list, but I believe that it is clear he did not. He trusted Rush,

      • Kinetic1

“Refuting the truth” was the task of the left in this article, not vice-versa. Provide detailed, credible refutation to one or more of the headlines listed by Mr. Nash and you may advance the argument.”

To “Provide detailed, credible refutation to one or more of the headlines listed” one must first be able to read the article associated with the headline. Given that, as I previously stated most of these headlines appear to have been made up from whole cloth by Rush, there is nothing to refute.

    • http://omniv8 pete0097

Who cares who came up with the list. The facts are the facts. obama blames everyone and never stands up and admits his problems. I think that if he would do that the American people would forgive him. That would show that he learns from HIS mistakes. The problem is he never learns from his and other peoples mistakes. He has not learned from Gorbachev that eventully socialists run out of other peoples money.

      • Robert Smith

The right needs to learn that you can’t bankrupt the middle class and pass all the money to those a the top, or worse to countries who are going to buy our corporations and then buy our elections.

How can anyone support the buyout of America by other countries? That’s treason plane and simple.

      • momo

@Robert Smith, keep borrowing 40 cents of every dollar the government spends and that’s how other countries get to control this one.

      • Vigilant

Another reply irrelevant to the thread. You must really be getting desperate.

      • Vigilant

My above comment refers to “Simple” Rob Smith.

      • Nancy in Nebraska

Vigilant, ALL of lefties replies are irrelevant! They don’t KNOW anything so they just inject random accusations to change the topic. Unfortunately, too often it works. They are just here to inflame and disrupt!

      • JUKEBOX

I heard that Obama is considering renaming the San Adreas fault in CA the Bush Fault.

    • eddie47d

I would say that list is quite accurate especially with those sleazy speculators on Wall Street. Obama should take this list and shove it up a few Republicans posteriors. Yes it was indeed the Republican delay tactics and deliberate attempts to slow down the economy that well “slowed down the economy”. What Republicans didn’t realize while CEOs and Wall Street made buckets of money and created few jobs it hurt the small businesses who couldn’t compete with these mega companies. Their policy of feeding the already wealthy and not making them accountable backfired.

      • s c

Comrade ‘e,’ I can’t wait to see your ‘get-the-tag-on-that-truck,’ disbelieving look on your face when you are forced to admit that Obummer is and has been in BED with Wall Street for YEARS. Ditto for Hawy Weid, Nancy Schmancy, Schtupper Schumer, Bahney Fwank, Henwy Waxman, Kwissy Dodd and SO MANY other utopians for DECADES.
Your intelligence is evaporating on a daily basis. No wonder it took so long for you to switch from crayons to pencils. Let me guess. Mensa refuses to talk to you. Right? Cuba needs you. Iran needs you. Syria needs you. North Korea needs you. Mars needs you. America doesn’t.

      • eddie47d

I’m fully aware of what the Democrats are capable of. I trying to educate the slow Republican minds (yours included) who act clueless and always in denial of what the R’s do. So Ice Queen pack your bags and go back home to Antarctica then you can slobber your BS to the penguins . Then again they are probably smarter than you.

The Romney Doesn’t Care Plan. That’s a good one.

And this is how “community organizers” go through life. Preaching and preaching and convincing people that every ill that befalls them is because of someone else. That “personal responsibility thingy” never enters their equation. What a crying shame that there are that many weak minded individuals that are so easily duped. Especially by this duper n chief.

    • eddie47d

The Republicans need to stop with their Trickle Down Policies and start blaming themselves. It didn’t work and it only encouraged more companies to outsource. They were to busy trying to perfect their numerous Monopoly Games and playing the Bain game. Grab as much for themselves and to heck with the real American worker. How has that been working out for you?

    • Robert Smith

“What a crying shame that there are that many weak minded individuals that are so easily duped. ”

Yes, what a crying shame that America is being sold to the highest bidders. The top 1% who are doing the selling to China and the like will get their money and the rest of us will be enslaved.

      • momo

In case you haven’t noticed, we are already enslaved. Your 4th amendment rights have been suspended due to the (un)Patriot Act, your 6th amendment rights could be suspended via the NDAA, and your 1st amendment right to protest is no longer allowed on federal property.

      • Vigilant

Rob, are you EVER going to get on subject, or will you just continue to “Alinsky” your way through the day?

You have a knack of going for the capillary.

      • Wyatt

Yep it is a real shame about how easily Americans are duped . Now tell us how it feels to have been duped by the left wing Communist Robert Smith . We are all dying to know . What makes on eager to be a Communist and live under a repressive wanna be Dictator who dispite his alleged University Credentials is as dumb as a post and never held or worked at a real job a single day in his life

      • eddie47d

Hey MOMO that should fit right into the plans of the right wing for they never like the freedom to protest or to assemble anyway. They are the first to send in the troops ,tanks, police and start jailing free speech.

      • Kate8

RS – Exactly. And just who is their current puppet-in-chief?

        Are you catching on yet?

  • wsk

It would have been better if the above list had the sources attached.

    • Robert Smith

Oh, it’s being popularized by Rush and the other right wing blabbermouths.

So, it must be true (not).

I’d like to ask Rush why he approves of China buying our corporatons and then buying our elections.

If you have missed the last 4 yrs of your life and not witnessed or watched Obama’s speeches. You can search anyone of those on the internet (youtube) and watch him say it from HIS OWN LIPS – However even seeing and hearing him say it, you libtards would still try to deny he said it.

Blame Republicans and everyone else all you want, But facts are facts.

FACT: Democrats control Executive Branch and Congress during Obamas first 2 yrs. 08 – 2010

FACT: Democrats still control Senate and though the Republican controlled House has sent a slew of budget proposals to the Senate, the Democratic Controlled Senate refuses to act on any budget bills or make their own in over 3.5 yrs.

Democrats sit in the WH and in the Senate in control and point fingers and blame the others for them not doing anything.

  • jopa

The only truth that came out at the RNC convention was a large sign that read” We Built This”. and right next to it was the clock ticking off the national debt. The wars they started, the prescription drug plan, the Wall Street bailout, the plundering of US treasury for the likes of Haliburton, the Bush tax cuts, the eight years Bush was in office not one spending bill vetoed. They truly did build that figure on the clock. Now they try and blame Obama because the bills came due in his term when they the GOP didn’t pay for any of it during the Bush era. That is one name (Bush) that we should never forget and should be brought up continuously so people will be reminded how America was almost brought to it’s knees.

    • Vigilant

Another Alinskyite who CAN NOT refute the headlines posted by Mr. Nash, so goes off on a tangent. When will you poor souls learn that the efficacy of your arguments is not enhanced by changing the subject?

      • jopa

Vulgarant:Were you referring to me about changing the subject? My post is right on target with that of Brian Nash.

      • Vigilant

Sorry, jopa, that wasn’t even a nice try. Perhaps you should read Mr. Nash’s first sentence, i.e., “President Barack Obama has become notorious for playing the blame game.”

THAT is the subject of the thread and, try as you may, you can’t change that. Now try to address THAT contention instead of spewing the talking points that attempt to deflect it.

The thrust of the blame game is that, per all conventions of business and government, the leader shares AND ADMITS blame when things go wrong. ALWAYS blaming someone else is a sign of politically motivated narcissism and cowardice.

      • Smilee

If someone other than you murdered someone and you are charged for that crime is it wrong for you to blame the the murderer instead of yourself?? It is not the blame game when you blame the guilty, no one should assume the guilt for the actual perpetrator and Bush in this case was the perpetrator. It is you who is trying to put Bush’s mistakes on Obama and say he is not wrong for telling the truth about Bush. We will be paying for the Bush’s actions for years even after Obama leaves office in 2017

    • eddie47d

The subject wasn’t changed for Jopa was only pointing out who was responsible for that list in the first place. The Patriot Act brought the hammer down on civil liberties and brought to you courtesy of G Bush. So go to the source and then follow the trail.

      • Curt

You say “The Patriot Act brought the hammer down on civil liberties and brought to you courtesy of G Bush. So go to the source and then follow the trail”. And after 3 1/2 years Ocrap has done nothing to change the Patriot Act, except hire more sexual predators for the TSA to molest children and old people. Oh, you say “He can’t change the Patriot Act!” You’re full of defication. He can do anything else he damned well pleases via ‘Executive Privlage’.
So, eduh, why after 3 1/2 years has Ocrap not brought the troops home like he promised? How many countries are we militarily involved in now? Oh yes, it’s Bush’s fault isn’t it.
And why do you and your jackass buddies on here expect everyone else to provide sources? To damned lazy to look it up yourself? Oh, wait, if you did that, you might learn a nasty thing or two about your annointed one, and you can’t have that now can you? That, and everyone knows, Demoncraps don’t do anything for themselves, they have the government do it for them.

      • eddie47d

Bush gave Obama the tools to get the job done so as I said follow the trail.

  • uvuvuv

momo, how foolish, the 878 billion went to subsidizing the solar and wind energy companies, providing many jobs and giving us free electricity. this not only provided employment here but in china, plus 1 billion was sent to brazil to help with their oil drilling. think of the jobs here as the jobs there import consumer goods made here. the factories are humming and they are even shifting overtime so don’t criticize the trickle sideways stimulus. in a few days they will be posting the unemployment rate for august and i predict a big change! look at all the 2012 suv’s at the food pantries. those trucks mean jobs, jobs, jobs in tokyo.

  • http://AOL Martha G. Means PRIVATE

I thing the Republican convention is doing great and have so many good speakers. What a nice class of people in The republican party. Look at some in the demo party such as Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, barney Franks and many others including the black panthers out there threating voters at the poles. Also all of the illegals left in to vote for (guess who)ugly Obama.

  • Doc Sarvis

The Right has been blaming President Obama for the slow pace of the recovery among other things. This after the Republican leadership vowing to oppose President Obama from the very start of his term – no matter what initiatives he brought forward (percieved good or bad). Treason!

    • Doc Sarvis

A new book by the well-sourced writer Robert Draper reveals that Republican congressional insiders met for a private dinner on the night of Obama’s inauguration and mapped a strategy to “show united and unyielding opposition to the president’s economic policies” from Day One. On the way out the door, Newt Gingrich, an invited guest, reportedly told his former brethren,“You will remember this day. You’ll remember this as the day the seeds of 2012 were sown.” Newt has a flair for the dramatic, but in this case he was right. the same site.

    • Pathfinder

Hello Doc: You say the republicans are blaming Obama for the slow recovery and blocking his agenda.
How you underestimate people. “We the people are” not blind and have seen what this presidents rhetoric, legislative policies and mandates have done, and will do, to America.
We do not need your republican blame game, nor your new book to tell us what we already know; Obama, Reid , Pelosi and the democrat cabal are inspiration enough. I for one am very glad that Republicans oppose this president, who is an anathema to everything that America stands for.
Obamas agenda to “Fundamentally Change America” is not what most Americas bargained for when they elected him to office. Further, there were those who knew this mans real intentions from his early days with Chicago politics. As Obamas mentor (Rev Wright) said: “Obama is a politician and he will say what he needs to say”, virtually calling Obama a liar. In subsequent interviews, Wright has gone as far to say that Obama used his Church, and the guise of Christianity, for political gain and political gain only.
This is all verifiable information should do the research. OBAMA is The GREAT DECEIVER and it dose not take a scientific mind, your “new well documented book”, nor the republican party for the people to figure this out.

  • TML

The blame game is just politics as usual, but after four years; continuing to blame the previous administration, while even having continued many of the failed (often notorious) policies, becomes nothing short of self-righteous hypocrisy.

  • Jay

The fact is, its been four years, and there hasn’t been one iota of change; if anything, things are even worse. Had Mr. Blame put his nose to the grind-stone rather than spend four years feathering his nest, and blaming the previous admin…who knows what he could have accomplished. What a waste of opportunity!!!

    • Doc Sarvis

Look what this administration has done to us! I was sickened by reading this thread. Why does it have to be dems against repubs? Can’t we all work together for a better America? A better future for our children? Hell, a better future for US! Wake up America! We don’t have much time left!!!

  • The Christian American

It’s simply amazing. The people of America seem to think the future of their lives, liberties and properties rests with one of two political parties, which in reality form the Republicrats. Our country is in shambles, economic wise, morally, foreign policy wise, unity of people wise and everything else you can think of. With that, the people turn to the very people that created this mess to fix it. They seem to look at the politicians, the holders of their lives, liberties and properties as actors, actresses, sports personalities or who knows what. They seem to choose one the same way they choose their favorite stars.

America is at the brink, along with the rest of the world, and getting off the brink rests with us PERSONALLY. It was said “God don’t make no junk”. No, but we’re making what he made, each of us, into junk by the decisions we make. That political arena in Tampa, personally, turns my stomach. I’ve heard a lot of “sounding brass and bang symbols” but not one word of sustance on what to do to salvage our nation. Are we going to adopt President Washington’s advice on foreign policy? Are we going to adopt Ron Paul’s thoughts on the economy? Are we going to appoint people that are God fearing American’s to our judicial benches, people that govern by our Consitution and the Ten Commandments? NO, NO AND NO. Einstein said: ” the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result”. We’ve been electing the same kind of people over and over again and the result has been the same. Come quickly Lord.

  • Peter 10-nov-1775

And I blame owebubba for the shameful state of our country today.

  • Kinetic1

I’ve read what many of you have to say and I have to admit, you have a point. I too am upset with the President not taking the blame. I want him to man up and take responsibility for wasting so much time on health care. He should have rammed universal care through instead of trying to compromise. Republican leaders in the house told him that, no matter how many of their complaints were addressed, no matter how many concessions he made, the Republicans in congress would still vote no. I want him to admit that he could have gotten a lot more done if he had just ignored the opinions of the Republicans. After all, they told him their number one goal was to make him a one term president! Yep, Obama needs to admit that he should have acted more like Bush, rallied his troops and walked all over the Republicans.

    • TML

So, you want Obama to own up to his mistakes, by blaming republicans for getting in the way? Rather hypocritical thinking it seems to me.

  • chuckb

kinetic 1, i have read a lot of crazy comments this day, however, you win the booby prize, you must be a ron paul supporter, i don’t think anyone who supports barry could be this mis-leading, barry tried to compromise? are you really serious? that has to be the laugh of the day, a good share of the bolsheviks wouldn’t support that garbage legislation.
“he could have gotten more legislation thru by ignoring the republicans”? again, are you serious, are you really? this guy doesn’t go to congress he legislates by fiat. he thinks he is the emperor. yeah, and bush really walked all over the democrats, that’s where bush fell down trying to appease the bolsheviks.

    • TML

“…you win the booby prize, you must be a ron paul supporter, i don’t think anyone who supports barry could be this mis-leading…”

So you say he must be a Ron Paul supporter and then go on to admit he supports Obama. You win second place to that prize, lol

      • chuckb

little to anxious there, i meant a barry supporter. i know he is, just trying to rub it in.

  • Scooter Livingston

So are you wingnuts still blaming Bill Clinton’s penis for 9/11?

  • brazzos

Sounds like what the filibusting GOP would say. Of course, Obama gets blamed for everything but the flooding of the world, during Noah’s time. Of course, if a Republican sneezes, he doesn’t blow his nose, he blows a milliion dollars.

  • Vet

I wonder when he will blame them for having s#it for brains ???

  • swampfox

when the republicans vote his a** out this Nov,he can then blame us rightly!
