  • Drew Johnson, the newspaper editor who scorched President Barack Obama’s economic policies in an editorial that ran in the Chattanooga Free Press the day Obama stopped in town for a jobs speech, has been fired.   • This has to be the watershed moment in America’s long progression through a ridiculous series of politically-motivated linguistic perversions: Government workers in the city of Seattle have been advised that the terms “citizen” and “brown bag” are potentially offensive and may no longer be used in official documents and discussions.   • As the Senate Judiciary Committee debates a bill to “protect” U.S. journalists, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif) worries that those outside mainstream media will be included. “I’m concerned this would provide special privilege to those who are not reporters at all,” she said Thursday. Feinstein suggested that the definition comprise only journalists who make salaries, saying it should be applied just to “real reporters.” Source: McClatchy…

 

  • The fight over Obamacare premiums has a new home base: Ohio.
