Here we are just a few years down the road from Libya. Obama asked for funds to beef up security to the foreign embassies. Tea Party and republicans dysfunctional leadership replied with a resounding NAY ! Embassy’s attacked and the first to accuse Obama? You got it, the same one’s that denied the funding for embassy security ! Now lives are being lost due directly to Tea Party negligence.
Presently they are seeking to prevent Obama from chastising the use of chemical war fare tactics. Once again Tea Party and some dysfunctional republicans are NAYING. When the next chemical attack occurs OH how they will laminate their wailings upon Obama for failing to do something. This Republican Tea strategy has been played over and over again like a broken record. Repeating and repeating stuck in a rut. Days after the attack, America’s ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, made the rounds of the Sunday Morning news programs, stating that the Benghazi consulate was burned during an anti-American demonstration. The State Department, and presumably the White House, were by then in possession of the basic facts of the incident, and knew, from communications sent directly from Benghazi and Tripoli, that the attack was a terrorist action involving heavy weapons and mortars. Why, then, was the administration pushing a story of mob action? What was to be gained from concealing the true circumstances of the incident?

It is now known that in the weeks prior to the attack, the United States State Department not only saw fit to reduce security for the consulate but refused repeated requests by Ambassador Stevens and Regional Security Officer Eric Nordstrom for fences, transportation assets, and special operations forces to augment security. Nordstrom has since testified to congressional investigators that he was ordered to (reduce its American security footprint and to rely more on local forces to defend the American consulate). Nordstrom and other security officers in Libya were told to make do with less.

The results of this policy were catastrophic. The militiamen detailed to guard the American Ambassador’s residence fled in the first minutes of the raid— leaving Christopher Stevens and his two-man security detail vulnerable. That al Qaeda leader Ayman Zawahiri released a video on September 10th, urging Libyans to attack American targets can hardly be ignored. The failure of the State Department to head this explicit warning and protect our ambassador to Libya is at best negligent, and at worst shows a capricious misunderstanding of the facts on the ground.

In the days following the attack, the White House put forward a story that was incompletely informed, if not disingenuous. That the White House deliberately misstated the circumstances surrounding the death of four American citizens is simply too shameful to consider. The September 11th assault on the Benghazi consulate is the single worst attack on an American diplomatic post since the Tehran embassy siege in 1979. The American people deserve a full and open investigation into the murder of Ambassador Stevens. They deserve also to know about the gallant actions of the brave Americans who tried to meet this terrorist attack with woefully inadequate resources.

Which part of the Tea Party was it that MADE President Obama apologize to the murdering scum for “insulting” them with an internet movie? Which Republican leader MADE Obama/Hillary claim that is was just an innocent protest of ordinary citizens that got out of control? Since Obama disregards the Congress and Constitution as he sees fit, why didn’t he beef up embassy security anyway? But ok, give us one, just one, legal reason to attack a sovereign nation that even President Obama has gone on record as saying has presented no direct, imminent threat to the US or its national interests.

          samurai…
Ok if what he presents really are facts and that is assuming we have
the same definition for the term “fact”. For me facts are things
that really happened or are happening. But I see his comedy more
important than facts or anything else. So, go on laughing with him if
          you like.

          • vicki

name some things in Ben’s video that you consider to be presented as facts but are actually not. With cites.

          • macgyver1948

Vicki… Since I very much doubt you will accept any of the sites I might share with you I suggest you do your own research.

In light of that Ben Crystal is so much about the comedy that there is not much room for anything else, like substance and what is really going on. As for the quality of his comedy, that is left up to the views and acceptances of his listeners.

But for an example… Movieville? What is that about other than for the sake of comedy and distraction? As is discord and what is left in Ben Gasie or however it is spelled. “Oprah is not actually a country, right?” Well, kids get the hell of my lawn”. Well Joe…”, etc. All for the mere sake of comedy and distraction from real issues.

“Smacks of retaliation” in reference to shaving a prisoner’s beard. This too is an attempt at a joke but in actuality that particular prisoner is using the Koran as his beard defense, the very same book terrorists believe says, in many places, my paraphrasing because I can’t now remember the actual wording in the Koran… “Find the infidels and kill them”. Did you know when prison guards and personnel at Guantanamo

touch and handle the Koran they must wear gloves? Yep, it is ordered to do so.

Now I must say we have to treat prisons with respect to their rights but there is a bit of something wrong in that prisoner’s defense of his beard considering the whole of the Koran as the terrorists see it. How are we supposed to feel about a group of people who are so deep into killing us because we will not convert to their religion? They bring that on themselves but it is for another time and not now. I personally do not care if he sports his beard but apparently our
Military does. It’s just the beliefs in Jihad by the terrorists as we understand it and as they respond to their understanding of it that I do not get as a defense. So much what Ben isn’t saying here in this what ol’ Ben was referring to in his short jokes but he seems to wants to make a funny instead?

I explained why I wasn’t listing the links but you do not like it so you make up something to, what is it, to embarrass me? hat will not happen with how you guys respond. To be honest often when I do return with links I am often told by guys on the Right something like “there is no point to go to Left socialists sites because I won’t believe the the crap they put out”. hat is why I told you to do your own research so you would have a better chance to believe. But I did go into some
detail about the article, and some of Ben’s joke comments, as I felt you might enjoy but you either missed those or, since you do not like the other side, you just ignore what is said. I really do feel sorry
for you and those who think as you.

In my last post I stated that you should do your own research as I do. I might have included that you also learn to think for yourself as well as find out for yourself instead of just going along with all that
your side tells you. I do not just believe all that comes out of the Left but instead I look for what is behind it all. I also look into what the Right says and I do that with an open mind going in. Is your mind ever open? Just asking?

“bald assertions”? By that do you mean they are hairless? LOL. And you “will ‘presume’” that I “really have nothing”. Good for you so you go on doing that. :-). A lot of the differences between me and

… Excellent historical points on your part. Israel is very moral most of the
time and so far have not felt the need to use their nuke capabilities
just as any clear thinking moral people should. So far Israel has
been blessed to not need nukes as a retaliation from attacks on them but they have been
attacked in greater numbers than Carter has pills.

          On the other hand

          • macgyver1948

Don 2… I agree with you almost entirely but very close. Large scale Socialism will not work for free people much as Communism on a large-scale will not work. However, on a very tiny scale either can work for a few people such as in a Kibbutz in Israel, in that they are very successful but will not at all work for the whole country of Israel. We do not need socialism or Communism here at all on a
large-scale, hopefully they will NEVER take over, but I can not see bits of socialism totally being kept out from our supply and distributions systems since Government must maintain some kind of interstate and intrastate law system or there would be disasters. But we must keep even that to a minimum and maintain only as we need.

      • MG

Maybe a big patch of “crater glass” is what the middle east needs.

Not necessarily Israel being the country having the greatest interest here. Qatar has a huge natural gas supply. Qatar and Saudi Arabia want to run a pipeline through Syria, but Assad won’t allow it. Doesn’t anyone read the constitution: Article 2 Section 2
The President isn’t commander in Chief until “called into actual service

President into service & make him commander in Chief. The White House man
has never been commander in Chief, because Congress has not declared war, &
if they do it is only for 2 years (& then they have to declare war again).
The USA was not designed to be a war mongering country.

The fact that politicians have distorted the budget does not change the fact that Elvis did have that part correct. We were not designed to be a war mongering country, which is why the Constitution quite clearly did not authorize a standing army even though it did authorize a standing navy. And why we were warned to forego foreign entanglements. How far we have fallen!

    Very
funny Ben Crystal… You do distract for the sake of the “jokes?”.

    What
is so different about this presidential/Putin meeting from most high
level foreign dignitary meetings? Does any one remember the meetings
President Nixon had with commie leaders in China where tricky dick
not only kissed their commie asses but also made deals, with the
commies, that are still hurting us today and betrayed some of our
allies all at the same time? Tricky dick betrayed us too in economic
ways. Where are you electronic gismos made just so our big US
corporations can import to us at less cost to them and in many cases
less quality to us? We can only hope Obama doesn’t do with Putin the
“political compromise” thing that will hurt us later as he does
with The GOP here at home.

    • speedle24

Of course I know you are joking here macgyver, but comparing the foreign policy capabilities of the Nixon administration with the Stars Wars barroom scene that is the Obama white house is not even worth the amusement. Let’s see, Henry Kissinger vs. HIllary and Lurch Kerry. And with Nixon, regardless of his faults he was respected and feared by foreign friends and foes. Obama is at best a laughingstock of same, and at worst a dangerous incompetant amateur.

      • macgyver1948

speedle24… Oh yes, I do joke a lot but I was showing that there can be similarities between presidential and others visits to foreign dignitaries. I feel Nixon very much screwed us with the deals he made with China and it was all in the name of big business for the most part. He opened the way for cheap US manufacturing in China, for example. Do you like all your Chinese made US imports to our shores?

I feel I can refer to Nixon and to GOP leaders today as childishly as you and others on the Right do referring to the Left in ways such as “Lurch Kerry” (did you pick that up from the comedian Ben Crystal above?) or referring to Obama as a commie or even calling him “Barry which is not his real name, but I try to refrain often. “Tricky Dick” was a common nic for Nixon in his day.

Nixon was defeated because he participated in events he shouldn’t and was embarrassed out of office because of them. Kissinger was a brilliant man but he did as he was told even if he personally disagreed. Hillary is also very smart and we can compare if we want to. I do not feel it is necessary because they are all politicians who must do as they are told. I just prefer the lessor evils of the Left for the most part, as I see it.

” I feel Nixon very much screwed us with the deals he made with China and it was all in the name of big business for the most part.”
That would put you very much in the minority. Clinton was the one who endangered our national security by allowing the sale of high tech military items very much in violation of export moratoriums in effect.

It seems that a natural gas pipeline is a threat to someones economy. Sounds like the Bilderbergs (in which Obama bin Laden, Kerry, and Hitlery belong to) don’t want anything like this happening. Just like the striking of Lybia because they were going to use gold dinars. Both of which would devalue the U.S. dollar and the Euro. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

I repeat. Obama is an international laughingstock, and NIxon was respected internationally. Obama IS closer to being a communist than a capitalist. And his name seems to change depending upon his agenda. Yes, it was once “Barry”.
Please be the first to logically explain to me exactly what makes HIllary Clinton “smart”. Other than her and her husband’s knack for covering up their er…”mistakes”, what exactly has she done to exhibit “intelligence”?
And by the way, China’s “cheap goods” are good for the American consumer. It’s called international economics. Eventually (it’s actually already beginning) China’s economic development will reach the point that they will be unable to produce goods so cheaply, and the economc dynamics will change. Of course most liberals don’t understand how this works, so I don’t hold it against you that you think NIxon’s “opening up China” was a bad thing.

          • macgyver1948

speedle24… Thanks for your opinions. Yes, we all know Obama’s name was once Barry but it wasn’t of his choosing as a child, much like his leaving his birth place here in American. But he eventually returned to his native country on his own accord and eventually changed his name back to his birth name.

Do you really think the guy who was so embarrassed by his knowings and actions and associations that he was forced to leave office because he was honorable and admired? Nixon wasn’t called “Tricky Dick, for
            nothing.

You say Obama is “closer to being a communist than a capitalist”. I would bet the farm, so to speak, he would say that isn’t true just as much as you would deny being a Nazi if your were called that. See, thanks for you opinion. But you are sounding like a Nazi with your
ways for defining other people for them. Don’t feel too bad or alone in that, it is typical of those who have been programmed to hate Obama since he announced he was running for President against
Hillary. They didn’t know what he would be about then but that didn’t matter as it colored their opinion of him and were taught to also shun him because he wouldn’t support and endorse far Right conservative thinking and policies. In other words, for example, they
knew he wouldn’t support the “pledge” for them. Whatever each person’s reason, they decided to go along with what their side(s) told them and the hate for him has grown since.

You say “And by the way, China’s “cheap goods” are good for the American consumer. It’s called international economics.”. You have got to be kidding with that. For (one) example, have you ever heard of “Built in obsolescence”? It is a system devised by
businesses people for manufacturing to aid sales in order to sell more often as products decay sooner then they should. This invites people on low buying budgets to pick lessor expensive products, so often less quality, but those products fall apart so quickly it
forces consumers to replace them more often. So in the long run they are paying more out-of-pocket than they would if they purchased good quality products in the first place. It is an insult to the consumer. You should hear how Walmart supports their version of “Built in obsolescence” without using the term and it clearly insults the intelligence of their customers. Walmart is not alone in this. Just so it supports what the Corporations want even at the expense of the
consumer. Guess which political parters support the big corporations more so then the Dems. Really, should we believe “customers come first” to many of the big corporations? Employees/associates also
do not to so many big corporations so why would we believe consumers are important to them, except for their repeated spending? I sway “buy American and stop giving American Corporations benefits for
moving overseas. Of course they will move over seas if it costs them less then being here. So where do we US Citizens, workers and consumers fit in?

You ask “Please be the first to logically explain to me exactly what makes HIllary Clinton “smart”. Other than her and her husband’s knack for covering up their er…”mistakes”, what exactly has she done to exhibit “intelligence”? LOL.. Well, they are smart because they successfully passed all the requirements of the schools they went too, lol. But seriously they are politicians and as such they are smart, as politicians need to be, to cover “up their er…”mistakes”. That is what politicians do, as well as lawyers, when they are caught and it doesn’t matter if the politician is a Liberal or far Right Conservative. Am I to assume you miss that truism/fact only for the politicians you might support? Good luck with that fantasy.

You end with “ Eventually (it’s actually already beginning) China’s economic development will reach the point that they will be unable to produce goods so cheaply, and the economc dynamics will change. Of
course m ost libe rals don’t understand how this works, so I don’t hold it against you that you think NIxon’s “opening up China” was a bad thing”. Wow you do not stop being funny. Thank you for that. :-)

China’s economy is growing for much of their own efforts as well as from the help they get from foreign, and especially American, Corporations. Heck, Walmart is helping to build their military as well as their
economy. As things reach their proper levels over there, in time as growing economies always have throughout history, assuming we are talking about the successful historical ones, and their prices must
conform more to the world markets’, then they will up their prices, if they haven’t slowly been already to keep pace, but by then China will be a huge world economic leader. But, “Of course m ost libe rals don’t understand how this works”. As long as you do in your
            head. LOL…

Wow you do not stop being funny. Thank you for that. :-) LOL

          • Karolyn

Actually, companies are already moving manufacturing back to the US from China. Along with rising wages, transportation costs have caused them to move back here. What will happen when China’s export market dries up?

          • Don 2

“What will happen when China’s export market dries up?”

Simple Answer: China will stop lending us money. And when the feds stop printing play money at the rate of $85 billions a month…..turn out the lights, the party’s over…..

          • macgyver1948

Karolyn… Yes, I know some are but so many are more concerned with themselves and their profits and saving themselves money, until the rising overseas costs get too high for them too, they may take longer. My concern is for the damage done to the generations of Americans since it all began with agreements such as the ones with China and others. I hope it is not too late to help our country’s economy and those in need of jobs before enough of the corporations come back, before it is too late. Time will tell but in the mean time we suffer. We need to ban together and tell our politicians, those that do this, to stop spending almost all their efforts in support and protection of the big corporations and their wants. Many of those politicians, and there are over 270 plus in Congress who do this, who support the Corporations over us, need to be replaced fast.

We must remember that many big corporations will, and have, done what is in their best interest and if it hurts us so what. A piece of American history… There were a number of American Corporations doing business with Hitler before and up to the start of WW2. They didn’t want their profits to end in their partnership with Hitler so they pressured US Congressmen to keep us out of WW2. We should have been in WW2 a couple of years sooner but profits are more important
to those US Corporations than even the existence of the Free World. Not a whole lot in that has changed for many big US Corporations today and for the politicians they own.

A bit of what the US Founding Fathers warned us about – Corporate and big money influence (especially if the source is kept a secret) on our government.

“I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.” – Thomas Jefferson

Banks are included in that but there are others:

And just for fun: “This corruptions we speak of comes from corporate greed, regardless of corporate type, supported by the eagerness of many of our
politicians, for the purposes of taking corporate money to help support themselves and, of course, the Corporations”. Macgyver1948.

Nixon betrayed Formosa/Taiwan. They were our allies and asked for our help but guess what and then see why they feel betrayed because of the deals Nixon made which contradicted the agreements we had with Formosa/Taiwan and others made for the benefit of our big US corporations and also for political reasons.

Think what you like but I suggest you do some real research into it all and see what you might be missing.

Is this your way of excusing Clinton? You progs have a funny way of excusing your own. You use the same line of defence for obama; “well you know, its not poor obama’s fault, cause bush got the ball rolling and poor obama had no choice but to take the ball and run with it.” Well excuse me mac, but who is the current president and ceo; is it bush, or is it obama? And if bush had the freedom and power to enact unsavoury-policies, are you trying to tell us that obama is not afforded the same freedom and power to reverse them? Are you trying to tell us that obama has no choice but to continue with the bush’s policies? And if that is your rational, then what the he77 was the point of the elections in 2008, and what was all the big hoopla about electing obama, who promised “hope and change” and a squeaky-clean and transparent administration under his command? Who are you trying to kid, mac. I really expected much better from you than this weak and anaemic thinking you are trying to pass along. Go back to the drawing board, mac, and try and come up with something a little more robust…OK? Please be careful now, and don’t stain yourself.

          • macgyver1948

WTS/JAY…no, not at all is it my way of excusing Clinton. Nice of you to assume so. If what they do is wrong and hurtful toward us it is wrong and hurtful and it doesn’t matter if they are dems/gop/LIBERTARIAN.

For you to continue as you traditionally have here I do not have to wonder why you ASSume so much and incorrectly too. In this case it is not necessarily my line of defense for Obama.

If I feel Obama is wrong I have stated so. I do not like how Obama hurts us with his political compromises with the Right. I do not like endorsement for military arrests of US civilians without warrants. I do not like that listening into all kinds of phone calls (as brought to a theater near you by the little bush and HLS) and eves dropping on our emails and other online stuffs without warrants is still in effect.

I do not like how so many of you a-hole conservatives (not all conservatives, some are realistic) assume my intentions and beliefs or how I feel and how you can be so sure what I am really thinking. Are you programmed to do these absurd and unrealistic things?

Since I am not behind the scenes with Obama I cannot know if Obama has no choice but to continue the faulty little bush policies but there is so much going on that we do not about. We have a faulty political system and we need to fix it. But I still see, from what I can see and learn about, that the Left are less evil toward us than the Right. But I do not feel the Founders would be totally happy with any of what we have today in politics.

As per what you have expected better from me. You assume way too much when you read someone from the Left and you miss a lot. I cannot also include everything I am not comfortable with from the Right or the Left, especially every time, but I try to touch on what is obviously being stated here that I disagree with. You might even agree with what I disagree with in Obama as well as the Right but you wont allow your self to get past your blind ASSumptioons and programming.

          • WTS/JAY

You don’t seem to know too much of anything you claim to know so much about, mac; that is, until you are taken to task. Until such time, however, you seem to know so much about so much you claim to know so much about. I find your logic rather peculiar, mac, if not offensive.

          “Some real research?”

Had you done YOUR homework, you’d have discovered the following:

“The Chinese themselves agreed to a peaceful settlement of the Taiwan question. The statement enabled the U.S. and PRC to temporarily set aside the “crucial question obstructing the normalization of relations” concerning the political status of Taiwan and to open trade and other contacts. However, the United States continued to maintain official relations with the government of the Republic of China in Taiwan until 1979 when the U.S. broke off formal diplomatic relations with the Republic of China and established full diplomatic relations with the PRC.” (Wikipedia)

Let’s see, who was president in 1979?

P.S. How ’bout a response to my questions above?

          • macgyver1948

Vigilant… Had I done my homework I would go in knowing there are always more than one side to an issue if there is more than one person or more than one group involved in the thing. I would have found out, and I did, that the Twain people not only were not involved in what the Chinese wanted and decided for them they opposed it. It is a reduction of humanity to consider it a “Taiwan question” much the same as The Vietnam War was called a “police action”. Where were our cops in Nam? Just saying but it showed how little the Taiwan people were considered.

Jimmy Carter was president in 1979. What is your point??? You too, as many on your side, miss so much from the posts and comments from those you do not want to agree with. Is that your choice or are you too programmed to do so? In many of my writings I tell what I do not agree with from the Left. Do you too miss that and are you too assuming what you want of me, what you assume I mean and believe? Again, I see stuff I do not agree from the Left but I see the Left as less the evil compared to the Right. So, again, what is your point in asking “…who was president in 1979?”?

“Taken the ball and run with it?” Tell me what secret military technology deal was brokered by Nixon?

What Clinton did was inexcusable and had NO relation to Nixon’s visit.

          • macgyver1948

Vigilant… You really need to do your own research and not be so damn lazy. Well, with the agreements Nixon made with the commies in China they
opened the door for so many American businesses to set up shop there, and elsewhere, so they can export to the US and elsewhere. So many jobs here are lost as manufacturing moved to China and other less
costly places since. And the prices in the stores here are not really so great but at least the manufacturing is less costly for the US manufacturers and the quality of the products is less than what it should be in many products. I like this. When I worked at Walmart”s
home office I got to know some of the buyers. A standard joke there, among the buyers and the sales associates was something like “RCA fell so low in quality since moving its manufacturing to China we
more appropriately refer to them as “Really Crappy Appliances””. My thoughts wee more in the line of political and economic

Do you even get the feeling that so many American jobs were lost because of those deals? Then Clinton was a supporter of NAFTA, similar ideas, which I have always opposed for all the good that did.

You end with “What Clinton did was inexcusable and had NO relation to Nixon’s visit”. I think you are exaggerating in your opinion but that is just my opinion. But if we can share opinions I say the
little bush should be arrested for war crimes and for weakening the US Constitution (as well as our economy. Different subject but I just felt like throwing it in), which he did along with Home Land Security.

It is not the right of government to weaken or delete anything from the Constitution and it should be declared a federal crime. No one should be above any law in our country. After all, the Constitution is a
document for We The People to protect us from the Government and not the other way around. How might it look to any outsiders to see our government, which we own, to be weakening what is meant to protect
us from them, the Government. IT would be a great propaganda tool for our enemies to use against us and I bet it has. To me it is part of the great American hypocrisy, there is much more to that, and should
be declared treason. This is since you and I are throwing opinions around.

Also Vigilant, to your “Tell ne what secret military technology deal was brokered by Nixon?”. I do not know since I wasn’t even thinking “secret military technology deal” but obviously you were so tell us what you had in mind.

A true “feminist” does not support Muslim misogyny; but that does not preclude supporting moderate Muslims who do not practice much of this barbarity. Read this article by a Muslim woman attorney. As she says, it is all in the translation and understanding of the Quran, just like there are different interpretations of Biblical writing. Of course, this article is aimed at domestic violence and not at some of the more atrocious practices of extremist Muslims. However, it does give a different perspective.

      http://www.mwlusa.org/topics/violence&harrassment/domesticviolence.htm
I know an American woman married to a Muslim. He is a controlling sob (like many other men – even Christians), and I wish she would leave him, but he does not ascribe to beatings and other extreme measures to keep her in line. He is an Egyptian-American citizen.

Too much hate is directed at ALL Muslims when it should only be at those who practice barbarity.

      • Carlos

Karolyn, You can’t be a Muslim without belief in the Qur’an. The ones professing to be moderate are still believers, you can’t just be half way anything. Down deep they still resent Christianity, Judaism and never the twain shall meet.

I am so sick of people spreading hatred and misinformation. Muslims are people too, and want the same things we do. I believe people when they sincerely work toward communication, cooperation and peace. That’s more than can be said for most of the people who post here. Muslims are our brothers and sisters, just like everybody else. The world is in such a mess because of negativity spread by everybody, especially extremists on all sides. The negativity being expressed in this world is just creating more. It is better to be FOR what you support than AGAINST what you don’t.

            Karolyn,
Unless you are also a Muslim, to say that Muslims are your brothers and sisters and want the same things that you do is a naïve statement to make.

          • Karolyn

We are ALL brothers and sisters, ALL human beings. Don’t all human beings want the same things. Are you a Christian? If so, you believe that we are all descended from Adam and Eve, no? I believe that we are really all one. Unfortunately, the majority do not believe that. However, there is a growing segment of the population of the world that is seeing things that way. We are trying to tip the balance. It is a tough job considering how much hate there is and how many want to perpetuate that hate on all sides.

            That is Satan’s LIE.
Who is brothers and sisters in Christ are not brothers and sisters of those who is brothers and sisters in Devil.

We are NOT ONE and NEVER were.

K: “a growing segment of the population of the world that is seeing things that way”, the way you seeing are self-deceiving.

The God’s definition of hate is totally different from your definition.

God says HATE evil=sin, but you and your ilk are supporting, advocating and promoting EVIL.

            Karolyn,

I highly recommend that you and anyone who wants to learn more about Islam, visit the website, “Center For The Study Of Political Islam”, and then consider purchasing from Amazon, Volumes I, II, and III of the Islamic Trilogy Series.

When you find out what Islam is really all about, you will see things in a different light.

          • Karolyn

Don, It doesn’t matter what I read, my belief in who we really are will not change. All the superficial words and actions of this world do not change that fact.
The book you mentioned is about “political” Islam, not “human” Islam. Also, I can imagine it was written with prejudice.

          • Don 2

At least visit the website, before automatically closing off your mind to everything.

I recall recently that you stated to someone that you had a copy of the Koran in front of you. He then stated to you that you must then know about “taqiyya?” Is your copy of the Koran in Arabic, because you did not answer him? I answered for you.
This series is not written with prejudice, but is a translation into English to make it available to you. Understand that Islam is a political system, a culture, and a religion based upon the Koran, Sira, and Hadith.

Islam is the oldest active political system in the world.

          • Karolyn

Did some quick research and found this amongst all the anti-Muslim propaganda. I get what you’re saying but it is worthwhile to explore both sides of the issue.

            http://www.faithinallah.org/are-muslims-allowed-to-lie-taqiyya-explained/

          • Don 2

And if you had a copy of The Islamic Trilogy (Volume 2), The Political Traditions of Mohammed – The Hadith for the Unbelievers, you would have read:

Deceit is part of Islamic war against the nonbelievers. B4,52,267 Mohammed: “The king of Persia will be destroyed, and no one shall assume his throne. Caesar will certainly be destroyed and no Caesar will follow him; his coffers will be spent in Allah’s cause.” Mohammed cried out, “Jihad is deceit.”

Deceit in war: M032,6303 According to Mohammed, someone who strives to promote harmony amongst the faithful and says or conveys good things is not a liar. Ibn Shihab said that he had heard only three exceptions to the rules governing false statements: lies are permissible in war, to reconcile differences between the faithful, and to reconcile a husband and wife through the manipulation or twisting of words.

The name for deception that advances Islam is taqiyya(safeguard, concealment, piety). But a Muslim must never lie to another Muslim. A lie should never be told unless there is no other way to accomplish the task Al Tabarani, in Al Awsat, said, “Lies are sins except when they are told for the welfare of a Muslim or for saving him from a disaster.”

Another example of sacred deceit, taqiyya:1224 A member of the Abyssinian royalty, called the Negus, became convinced of the truth of Islam. He was accused by the Christians of leaving his religion. The Negus wrote on a piece of paper, “There is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his prophet. Jesus was a Muslim, born of Mary, conceived without a father.” He then pinned the statement under his shirt over his heart. [These are classical Islamic statements.] When the other Abyssinians accused the Negus of leaving Christianity and they said, “Jesus was the Son of God.” The Negus placed his hand over his heart (and the paper with the statement) and told the Christians, “I testify that Jesus was no more than this.” The Christians took him at his word and left him. When Mohammed heard this, he prayed for the Negus when he died.

We may be of the same species and that unfortunately is where it ends. The indoctrinations and upbringing is vastly different as Muslims are taught to be intolerant of the infidels and Christians are taught to tolerate rather than castigate those whose religious beliefs do no concur. That is perhaps why there are so many lunatics who consider car bombs, hijackings and relentless killings the order of the day. Strangely enough those lunatics are professed muslims and no Christians are recorded as being instigators of such violence, only those who profess Christianity but do not practice it. The question then is why are these people so violent? Of course I stand corrected. Just wondering, since no one I know would ever even think of car bombing any one, let alone folks they do not even know. Could be I just mix in the wrong circles? On the other hand, if I do not want a haircut I won’t go to the barber.

You are right about brotherly love and being a Christian Karolyn, but that is love for the person. It does not include their actions. This means brotherly love for Stalin, Mao, Hitler, and many others also, but not their actons. We have two families that live in our neighborhood that are Muslim. One family from Pakistan and one from India. They are nice people and are always willing to help the community, but there are those that are not so nice. Al Qaeda, Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood (which Obama bin Laden is a member), Hezbollah, the Taliban, etc., that are the dregs of society and enemies of God and all mankind. So, I do not hate all Muslims, just the ones that believe in blowing up people, buses, schools, churches, beheading Christians, etc. I’ve seen both sides of the fence in Afghanistan and Iraq, so I know what I’m talking about. Their faith is a false faith and revolves around a false god, false prophet, a black stone in Mecca, and the Koran. No Karolyn, my daughter is 23 years old and is too old for me to tell her what to do. We call her 공주님 – princess – and she has the same kind of mindset, so I don’t think it would work too well to bark out orders. She says that she wants to marry a Christian, but one that goes to church, reads the Bible and lives by it, and lives a godly life. She will graduate next year with a degree in chemical engineering. She has had 2 boyfriends in college, but she said that they were not mature enough for her. Another reason is what they also do, not all of them, to women. If she married a Muslim and went to the Middle East to live, we wouldn’t be able to get her back. I would have to go there, covert style, to get her back. The liberal love affair with Islam is perplexing. While liberals tend to hate traditional Christianity for its more socially conservative worldview, they insist on vigorously defending Islam and its adherents. From Jon Stewart’s moralizing, to Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg’s outrage at Bill O’Reilly, to President Obama’s droning about the “spirit of tolerance” in the Indonesian Constitution (in spite of Indonesia’s laws prohibiting speech offensive to Islam), we are forever sermonized that there is a gulf between Islamist extremism and the “vast majority” of normal Muslims, whom we would apparently love to have as neighbors and run into at Whole Foods.

Liberals deride Christianity and Catholicism in particular for its strict approach towards sexuality, claiming that prohibitions against abortion, contraception, homosexual sex, and premarital sex are simply oppressive forms of prudish patriarchy. But Islam is every bit as traditional on these matters; indeed, Muslim nations are the best allies the Vatican has at the U.N. in fighting against funding for third-world family planning initiatives. You can’t reasonably deride one while accepting the other.

Furthermore, Islam goes way beyond Christianity by embracing doctrines that actually are oppressive, demeaning to women, and tyrannical. Throughout the Middle East, there is widespread acceptance of polygamy, of giving adolescent girls in marriage, of female genital mutilation, of harsh criminal sanctions against fornication and homosexuality (a capital offense in some countries), all of which is done in accordance with interpretations of Sharia law that are accepted by significant percentages of the Muslim world. While liberals rightly revile American polygamists, they fail to acknowledge that every major Muslim country (with the exception of Turkey and a few smaller countries) legally provides for this disgusting practice.

(I always find it odd that liberals get outraged at polygamists — it’s the only sexual sin they still acknowledge between of-age, consenting individuals. Homosexual unions can be “marriage,” but not polygamous ones? Since when do liberals care about a strict limitation on the definition of “marriage?” Ultimately, I think it’s because homosexuals vote Democrat and drive Priuses, and polygamists don’t.)

Further, let’s look at how Islam treats religious and other minorities. In Darfur, Sudan, black Africans are being killed in a race- and religion-fueled vendetta of violence by Muslim militias, which have slaughtered more than 200,000 people. In Armenia, tens of thousands of Armenian Christians were slaughtered by the Turkish government at the turn of the 20th century; the Turkish government still won’t even acknowledge that the genocide happened. Sharia makes all sorts of provisions that non-Muslims in Muslim lands have to pay higher taxes and be subject to oppressive policies.

In another example of persecution of religious minorities, Islamist terrorist attacks have devastated the Christian community in Iraq, which has shrunk to half its pre-war population after fleeing from terrorism directed against them. On October 31st, terrorists attacked the Syrian Catholic cathedral in Baghdad, killing some 50 worshippers. The media, presumably concerned about campaigns of violence against minorities, responded with 464 stories mentioning the attack, according to a Google News search. However, they seemed to be focused more on a supposed campaign of oppression against homosexuals in America, as evidenced by the 1,100 stories reporting on the death of Tyler Clementi, the Rutgers student who committed suicide two months ago after his roommate posted a video of him having homosexual relations on YouTube.

Now, I certainly mourn this young man’s death, and I think that this invasion of his privacy was despicable and wrong. However, according to this study and others, American homosexuals experience hate crimes at nearly the same level as do Americans of Jewish origin, perhaps at a slightly lesser rate. I acknowledge that many homosexuals experience unfair discrimination and some are the object of violence and hate; this kind of intolerance is wrong and hurtful. But there hasn’t been a campaign of terrorist bombings in gay neighborhoods that forces half of them to leave the country in fear for their lives. That scenario is taking place for Christians in Iraq, and the media seems completely uninterested in it. For some reason, a hatred possibly stemming from the residue of historically negative Christian attitudes towards homosexuality is a bigger issue for the American media than actual Muslim hatred for Christians.

So yes, I think Islam is perverse, weird, and evil in many of its broadly accepted interpretations worldwide. The media elite would look a lot less stupid if they would actually acknowledge the fact, and quit chasing after Christian bogeymen.

Jay: “In Armenia, tens of thousands of Armenian Christians were slaughtered by the Turkish government at the turn of the 20th century; the Turkish government still won’t even acknowledge that the genocide happened.”

Correction: The Armenian Genocide aka Armenian Massacres is regarded as the Great Crime which was carried out by the Turkish Ottoman government during and after World War I on the territory of the current the Republic of Turkey part of which at that time was the
historic homeland of the Armenian People.

The total number of Armenian killed during this massacre has been estimated at between 1.2 and 1.5 million and not “tens of thousands”. Of cause the million is made up of “thousands”.

BTW, the word GENOCIDE was coined in describing this mass murder.

Armenian accepted Christianity before Russia did.

            Those are historical FACTS.

WHY aren’t you in your bed yet?

          • http://batman-news.com samurai

I just got through writing a test for my history students. Sook Young has asked me the same question, but she knows that when I was a soldier I burned a lot of midnight oil. Just thought I would see what was posted and then go to bed. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

Alondra, would those be the same Muslim Turks who fought so bravely beside our troops in Korea?? One veteran I talked to said he would rather have one Turk with a knife guarding his flank than a whole regiment of other UN Forces!

Karolyn… You say “”A true feminist” does not support Muslim misogyny; but that does not preclude supporting moderate Muslims who do not practice much of this barbarit”.

I would have thought it was all obvious and I thank you
for including it. When I viewed the suggested video I had
no problem discerning which side of the extreme that guy was on.

I agree there are many men of many religions who
feel justifying the ownership of humans, including their
wives. It happens in our country all too often by non-Muslims, by those who claim they believe in the same God Christians and Jews do. Sad, huh?

Hate is too much even in a sub anatomical particle of it.
Hate is the opposite of the God of Abraham, Issac and
Jacob. We have it so much in our country by those who say they love God. I believe one reason is they cannot take being disagreed with or accept the differences in all the people God made. Also sad, huh?

Brutality, abuse, can come in the forms of physical as well as emotional and both forms should never be tolerated, to any degree. If someone feels trapped and lives in a form of fear, even if he or she is not beaten physically, there should be legal recourse to meet the degree of that brutality and fear. The religion, whatever it is, should never play a part in that
        legal response for brutality.

        Thank you for this post.

Karolyn: A true “feminist” does not support Muslim misogyny; but that does not preclude supporting moderate Muslims who do not practice much of this barbarity.

The point the man was making is that the so-called feminists are not speaking out against radical Islam, period. Not a whisper or a whimper as their sisters are brutally beaten, stoned, raped, forced into marriages, and basically treated like cattle; as well, none of the feminists, including the progressive left, speak out against the mistreatment and murder of homosexual, moderate muslims and christians. The reason for this, of course, is that the feminists and the progressive-left, when it comes to criticizing Islam, lack back-bone; in other words, they are cowards, and hypocrites. What puzzles me though; you progressives have criticized Putin for his anti-homosexual policies, but refuse to criticize Islam against the horrible mistreatment of their women, homosexuals, moderate-muslims and Christians. Again, this is nothing short of hypocritical, not to mention, cowardly! That is the point the man was clearly making. Apparently, not clear enough for you, Karolyn. But then again, you were always very good at feigning stupidity.

        • Karolyn

Jay – I resent the “you progressives.” And, duh! Of course, I understood the man’s rant. You obviously missed what I was trying to say when I wrote “true” feminist, meaning a person who wants to see women get whatever they want and deserve, whether that is becoming an executive or staying home and being a mom. Ad hominems will get you nowhere.

          • WTS/JAY

You know, Karolyn, for the longest time i was always under the impression that you were not too bright, that your elevator didn’t go all the way to the top, that you were a few bricks shy of a load. But what i finally realized about you is that, you, are one of the most intellectually-dishonest of posters on PLD. You know damn well that i was speaking about feminism as it relates to Islam, and not as it manoeuvres in the West. My point, yet again; Western-feminisists and progressive-liberals turns a blind-eye at the horrific-atrocities perpetrated on women, gays, minorities, and christians in Islamic countries, and you dare not speak out against it, no, not even a peep; and that’s because you “progressives” are cowards and hypocrites of the highest order. You are fever railing against Christian-coservatism here in the West, a champion of human rights and freedom, while you champion and defend Islam, the worst offender of human rights on the planet. I’m tempted to tell you that you progressives should be ashamed of your cowardice and hypocrisy, but that would be like expecting pigs to be ashamed of themselves for eating and rolling around in chit. This, of course, would be an unrealistic expectation; for you progressives are nothing more than mindless-beasts, solely preoccupied with gratifying your base-natures.

          • nc

WTS, you are blaming women and liberals for not doing something about the treatment of women in foreign counries? What have the conservatives and Libertarians done but give lip service and then by just condemning the feminist and liberals for not solving the problem?????
How many times have I seen condemnations by people here for attempts by others to aid Muslims because one or more of them MIGHT BE “radical” Muslims! No proof! Just fear, anger and hate!!

          • WTS/JAY

Aren’t you liberals always blathering about women’s rights? Well, why are you hypocrites and cowards so silent regarding the horrible abuse of women in Islamic countries? The answer of course, is because you are all a bunch of hypocrites and cowards; big talkers, clouds without rain, and heads without brains. You worship the phallus and your stomachs; you are simply useless!

Obama bin Laden is very weak and vulnerable. Right now would be a good time to impeach him. I know this would mean the next POTUS would be Joe “Jelly Beans” Biden, but something has to be done for this country. Here are more articles about Obama bin Laden.
