Obama Implores Democrats To Stay The Course, Blasts GOP For ‘Obstruction’

February 8, 2010 by

Obama implores Democrats to stay the course, blasts GOP for 'obstruction'While speaking at a Democratic policy committee conference last week, President Obama urged Senate Democrats to stay aggressive and press ahead with their legislative agenda. He also took several shots at Republican lawmakers, stating that they have been unwilling to compromise and have been impeding progress.

While taking questions from Democratic senators who are up for re-election in November, Obama promised to "call (Republicans) out when (Democrats) extend a hand and get a fist in return," according to CNN.

The president also chided Senate Republicans for demanding that Democrats produce a 60-vote majority on every issue, no matter how arbitrary.

"You had to cast more votes to break filibusters last year than in the entire 1950s and ’60s combined," said Obama. "That’s 20 years of obstruction packed into just one." He added that a filibuster is justified only when there is a legitimate attempt to compromise.

The president also lashed out at members of the GOP for having an "if you lose, I win" mentality, citing examples of Republican maneuvering based solely on political considerations.

In recent months, the administration has come under fire from the GOP for what the party saw as the majority’s attempt to push through healthcare reform legislation behind closed doors, without consulting the Republicans. "I take some fault for this," Obama admitted, quoted by Fox News. "Some of [the] transparency got lost and I think we paid a price for it."

In the words of the late Mr. Rogers, “Hello boys and girls, can you spell desperation?”

This is a last ditch attempt of a first year lame duck president to rally his unwilling troops. the real split is wlthin his own party. In essence, the president is building a guillotine and asking fellow democrats to stick their neck out. The emperer is creating an army of kamakaazee.

If the president is willing to impose such a no getting out of here alive ultimatum on his own supporters, his fellow party members, his awe struck underlings, just imagine the wrath awaitng the presidents oposition.

  • s c

Somebody PLEASE send me an ultraliberal progressive dictionary. They never understood choice, transparency, morality, hope or change, and now they want us to believe they don’t understand what an unstoppable MAJORITY is and what it takes to make it work.
What can you say about a prez who can’t make a MAJORITY work? He had a YEAR to make that MAJORITY work, and he couldn’t handle it. On what planet does it make sense that so-called Republicans had any sway over obummer’s MAJORITY?
Just once in my life I’d like to hear an ultraliberal progressive explain how a MAJORITY can be powerless and under the thumb of a MINORITY when it comes to voting power in Congress.

    • Jana

sc, It is just another one of his many many lies. This man says he hears the people, but he is going to play by his own rules, not America, not the people and especially not the Constitution.

  • DaveH

The Democrat version of Compromise is just plain old-fashioned Union negotiation tactics. They first throw out a ridiculous plan then consider it Compromise if the Republicans accept half of the plan.

How about this for a Compromise? The Republicans insist on cutting Government size by 20% and then Compromise to accept a 10% cut.

    • DaveH

Of course, I know that isn’t going to happen, because most of the Republicans are just RINOs who like spending our money almost as much as the Democrats.

      • Time

Dave, I agree and perhaps this fall we can get in some new blood to clean up the Belt Way mess.

      • L, USA

Obviously, the concern as Republicans, are of compromising with the “Democrats” on ANY bill now, especially “obo-care-less” but of primary concern is that the ruthless and seductive dems will likely take half of the Libertarians and the other half may obstruct we Republicans. If the current party stays in power, we are all toast. No burnt toast.

        • Dj

That was a very ignorent statement, look how bad the republican party has already done and all they have to offer is the same thing that put america in the situation we’re in now.

          • Stephaan

Dj, WTF? Where were you in the early ’90′s when Clinton started this mess with fannie mae and freddie mac? If you weren’t around then maybe you should pick up a history book and learn something before you post your “facts”
As far as recent history: Bush had a liberal/socialist congress his last two years in office, but yet you blame him? Congress spends the money, not the prez. The prez tries to lead the congress, BUT how could Bush lead a congress with a liberal socialist majority. All Bush could do is sign, or not sign the bills they presented to him! This country didn’t get into real trouble until 2006 when the libs socialists got control of congress. Compare what liberals spend to what conservatives spend when they are in control, and then place your blame accordingly.
Your prez obummer has had a super majority in congress for an entire year, and yet you BLAME BUSH AND THE REPUBLICANS? There aren’t enough republicans left to piss in a gallon jug and fill it up.
Try blaming the liberal socialists in BOTH major parties, and the liberal socialist prez who has been LEADING them for the last year!

FYI Obama and his majority have spent more money in 1 year than all other presidents in the history of this country! Who do you think is going to have to pay it back Dj? Guess what pal. YOU ARE, and your kids, and their kids. Have fun blind one………

      • Dj

Hey it take’s money to fix the problem a problem that he had no part of.Why can’t people realize that it’s going to take a will to fix an eight year old problem and when the party that made this problem say’s no to everything to fix it, how will anyone know what his police or ideas will do?

        • Joe H.

          Dj,
Had no part in?!?!?!? Are you nuts? He has already spent more than all the other presidents to date!! Use that head for more than holding your ears apart!!!

Ok Dj, explain how GWB had all of a 2.5 % on the def, thats during his “full eight years,” yet Barry on the other hand as bumped that up to, near 6% in just 12 months. So hows that GWB’s fault?

Even better Dj, explain how creating jobs from TAX dollars is going to create long term jobs?
That is after rasing TAXS the few busines left here in the United States?

          Now lets use this model of logic – As I noted on another thread, a friend that owns a construction company had a rather funny quote please read it; {“I have never been hired by someone on wellfare.”}

Yet thats what Barry wants to do, our Government is BROKE, we are on wellfare from China, and Japan just in case you didn’t quite grasp that.

Next model of LOGIC for you, if you make the average US salery of $35.500.00 per year, and you spend $2,000.000.00 per year, how long will it be before you have a collection company at your door?

If you just stop and think about the out right Spun rhetoric that you hear, it makes ZERO sense.

It takes money to fix problems, yea right that and a tin cup will get you better real fast. Come on, get a grip.

  • s c

“Some” of the transparency? WHAT TRANSPARENCY? This administration has many flaws. It has so many flaws that it’s difficult to know which flaw is the worst.
No dues-paying, hack union Holloywood script writer could come up with the DISASTER that this prez has put together. What kind of a twisted mind would
surround itself with LOSERS? Does Obummer know the difference between a winnr and a loser? Does he care?
More than that, I want to know if he cares enough about AMERICA to leave the next generation a future. From what I’ve seen so far, Obummer is so self-centered that he’s willing to sacrifice America so his ‘pals’ will never stop praising him – no matter how much he forever DAMAGES America.

  • Bob Miller

The FIX is in.. Obama has decided to use the MSM as his stick and club to ram all his programs down the throats of the GOP and ANY questioning Dems.

He is starting MEETINGS on CAMERA to insure that NO ONE speaks their mind in front of the public.

There is NOT ONE CAREER POLITICIAN in either party that will ask tough question of his HOLINESS.

    That would mean political death..

It has now become a matter of OBAMA against the ALL of America.

If I was any opposing member of the House or the Senate.. inside the Dems or GOP jerks… I would boycott any meetings that are on Camera.

Obama needs to show his agressive, I AM GOD/KING and you will do AS I SAY.

I would like to have him attend a town hall meeting here in OHIO. that would not rough up protesting citizens.. or kick them out for asking a question that he has not had prepared before hand.

They can do full body searches and scans for his protection… but no one is removed and no politics are used to insure that only his supporters are in the audience.

He might show up as the chicken little that he is.

The corrupt Chicago Style POLITICIAN that we ALL know he is.

    • Joe H.

      Bob Miller,
I can’t give you Obummer, but Latourette (R) Oh. had a town hall meeting that was pretty peaceful. I guess that was because he was ready to listen to ALL who attended and addressed most if not all the concerns raised!!!

  • Time

Its really sad that he is still sitting in the white house. Anyone who would have pulled the amount of blantant underhanded moves that Barry has would be looking for work if employed in any normal job, but as you see Government jobs with life long permanent pay, PLUS all the perks, well they have very low standards to uphold.

Oh I forgot the quote the “Chicago style MAFFIA” they do seem to keep electing some real winners over there, and thats the norm for them.
I would venture to say that after the last 120 years they just don’t know any better.

    • jim

Time, From someone who lives 40 miles west of Chicago, I can tell you that you are correct. They all gripe, but at election time it’s the same-o lame-o.

  • Robin from Indiana

Obama will be a one term president. Hopefully the mess he has put our country in can be corrected. Maybe we need to limit the presidency to a one term, and we need to insist on term limits for Congress, too!

    • Dj

This mess was created before Obama took office and thats fact. Are you repblican’s so bias that none of you can place the blame where it belongs and now republican’s aren’t helping to solve ther mess. But it’s easier to blame some one else! It’s going to take lot’s of time to fix this mess.

      • TIME

Dj, Duh, hello what are you talking about? Lets be clear here the housing bubble was created in 1996, and Yes I liked Bill Clinton, he did a good job at reducing the def, he left office with it at about 1%.

Thus GWB left office with the DEF at just about 2.5%, Yet again Barry all by himself has brought that number up to near 6% in just 12 months.

GWB also exposed the housing problem in 2002, Barrny Frank and Chris Dodd both sold the bill of goods to both houses that nothing was wrong and that GWB was crazy.
Flash forward to 2008 – Barrny Frank was wrong so to was Chris Dodd, yet thats GWB’s fault.

        Get your facts straight.

      • Fed Up Gal in NM

        Dj,

Not biased, but apparently more logical. I feel sorry for those who have bought into the whole “I can’t help it song…it was a mess when I got it, so you suckers just need to hold out while I figure out how to find my way out of this wet paper bag”!

People are smarter than you or the current administration give them credit for. They may typically be busy working, making a living, paying their bills and all the other responsibilities….but they do take notice and their forgiving nature only holds for so long. Surely you know how that works….kind of like all the liberal protestors that made a perpetual stink during Bush’s 8 years. Like most people, he was not perfect either…by a long stretch, but it would take 10 lifetimes for him to make this country the mess O’bama has created in a year.

The fact that Obama never keeps his word on really important things should be a clue to even the clueless.

Take a deep breath and relax Dj….you’re going to need a huge energy reserve just to keep count of all the intentionally or negligently unkept promises he, Pelosi, Reid and the like are going to continue to make (and break)!

Thanks LT….but I must confess I had a good mentor (on this PL blog site)…”You”. Seeing how I’m still a relative “newbie” on here, I learned quickly and still am reminded that it’s easier to get people to listen when you remain calm in the response. I learned that from your (and others…but mostly your) responses, in that you are able to get your point across in a very effective, yet respectful manner. I’m still working on the latter…LoL…but it helps when I take the time to really read folks’ comments and try and discern the intent…so I thank you for your gift there.

On a side note….my dogs are doing very well now…after quite a bit of ka-ching, ka-ching and a lot of love and prayers they seem to have gotten their 2nd wind (again) so to speak. I really like the new Vets; I wasn’t sure at first, but they’ve turned out to be pretty great folks (father/daughter veterinarians that I found advertised on a “conservative” talk-radio show here in ABQ…go figure…LoL). Now…I just wish Bob Livingston would include a Pet Alternative Health/Medicine section on this site.

Hope you are doing well and that you all are back to great health.

No compromise to stupidity, no tolerance for marxism. piss on obama unless he is on fire, then watch.

  • s c

In Obummer’s mind, obstruction is defined as anything or anyone who gets in his way. This prez is vanity incarnate. He is the antithesis of leadership. He is a two-legged disaster
waiting to happen, and he will gleefully sacrifice any nation, group or individual to get what he wants.
This is the BEST we can expect from omniscient, ultraliberal progressives? Thanks for nothing, losers. You deserve what you have wrought. America does not deserve him – or you.

  • Kathy Casey

Since Obamas idea of comprimise is “I will listen to what you say, then expect you to go along with what I want to do…” I don’t see how televising anything is going to help matters. No matter how many times he says the Republicans are impeding progress, the fact remains that his party had the majority for the last year and he couldn’t pass the loony health care plan, cap and tax etc. I don’t know about anyone else, but I don’t want the Republicans to comprimise on the existing health care proposals. If they don’t start over, the plans need to die and wait till someone with sense is in office.

    • TIME

      Kathy,
This bill needs to be killed dead. There is no reason to even open the book on it. Its been a 100% total waste of time energy and effort.

I want the Republicans to be the party not just of NO! but HELL NO!

  • Joe Burgess

I’ve noticed that when the Democrats say “compromise” They really mean “do it our way or stay out of the discussion”. This is how it happened in both houses of congress when Republicans were not allowed to submit amendments to the Health care destruction bill nor participate in meetings held behind closed doors. I also object to the term “Democratic Party”. There is nothing democratic about those people.

    • George

      Joe,

Obama’s plan is “my way, or the highway,” and if Republicans don’t agree with it, then they are obstructing progress. If Republicans are left out of the negotiations, why should Democrats expect to get any Republican votes in Congress? Defies all logic if you think about it.

The Democratic Party should be renamed American Progressive Party because that’s what they’ve become. In a way, we’ve allowed the progressives over the years to convince most of us that their ideas are main stream. Things like a progressive income tax has allowed over 40% of working Americans to avoid paying income taxes all together. It’s no wonder those folks don’t mind increasing tax rates because they don’t think it’ll hit them in the pocket book. Of course, it will, but just indirectly. No one truly get a free ride under a progressive or socialist government. Tyranny prevails.

      • http://Don'thaveone Sally

No No NO Progressive Party. That has a good connotation to lame brains that don’t know what that really means. It should be what it is Democratic Socialist Party. or just Socialist Party.

      • Joe H.

        George,
it’s funny you should have mentioned that. That is exactly what Obummer is accusing the republicans of doing, my way or the highway type politics!!! The closed door king of America!!!!!

  • Tim

President Obama took office when our nation was in one of the darkest times of our history. The incompetence of the previous administration had ruined our economy, our national reputation and had made every American less safe.

Since taking office, President Obama has worked had to better this nation. He has met opposition not only in the legislature, but Dick Cheney speaks out occasionally to stir things up. If you fact check Mr. Cheney you will find that his statements are nearly 100% lies. Then there is the nutjob from Alaska who thinks foreign policy is seeing Russia from her backyard. Although I once respected (and voted for in 2000 primaries) John McCain, I lost all respect for him when he selected Palin for his running mate. This stunt was an attempt to attract Hillary voters and it could have endangered our nation. Ms. Palin is not qualified to be the mayor of a major city, let alone the President of our nation.

Face the facts. The work of cleaning up the devastation left by the Bush administration is difficult and President Obama is doing a great job. The Republicans are putting their political agenda ahead of our national best interest. Be a true American and support our President!

    • J C

If it was dark under Bush, it’s pitch black under Obama. And no he is not doing a good of cleaning up anything, he’s making it worse. MUCH MUCH worse. And “be a true American and support our President”?
He is not even our President he is a Kenyan usurper who is dragging us down the road to Marxism. NO American should support that.

    • George

      Tim,

You’re entitled to your opinion, but I couldn’t disagree with you more. First, the Bush administration did not by itself get us into the current economic mess. This situation has been building for years, beginning at least as far back as the early 1990′s. During that time there have been a number of major players that contributed to the problem, including both Republican and Democratic administrations and Congresses, the Federal Reserve Bank, businesses, and the public at large. The underlying cause, I think, is everyone used too much leverage (debt) to finance what they wanted to do, betting that the good times would last forever. When the “dominos” began to fall, a lot of bad things started happening. Bush, Obama, and the Fed have all taken some drastic steps to stop the bleeding with some apparent positive results. However, it appears this problem is far from over, and will continue to be a challenge for some time to come. Conservatives are very, very concerned that the primary fix by both Republicans and Democrats has been to dig the debt hole deeper to bail out failing banks and other financial institutions, the states, and political allies. Conservatives are also extremely concerned any time the government chooses to take over private companies rather than letting them go through the bankruptcy process in an orderly manner to sort out liabilities, ownership, etc.

Second, as far as Republicans obstructing Obama’s programs, just put yourself in their shoes if you can. If you were excluded from negotiations where legislation is being crafted, would you vote for it just so Obama might say you are a team player. Hell no! I predict that Obama could have gotten all of his legislation through Congress if he’d just invited all parties to participate in the construction of those bills. I probably wouldn’t have liked most of it because I’d still think the bills were too progressive, but I feel sure he could have gotten a few Republicans to go along anyway. As it is, he’s made his choice, so to speak, so let him deal with it.

As far as being a “true American,” is concerned, I believe true Americans are people who give their government guidance (like the Tea Parties, for example), voice their concerns using their right of free speech, and try to work with people of opposite views to find constructive compromises when possible. I don’t view Obama and the Democrat leadership in Congress as trying to work with people of opposite views to find workable compromises. So, I guess you and I will just have to disagree on who are the real true Americans right now.

      • Winnie

George. Well said or well written. Now your comment is the kind that I can understand. I have my own opinions but with your tone of voice I can feel relaxed about stating my opinion and not resort to name calling and assuming what the other has to say. Thank you for your calm and understandable comment.

        • George

          Winnie,

Thank you. I see no reason to throw verbal insults at each other. When one party does that, it only invites the same kind of response from the other party. I think that just wastes a lot of time and inflames feelings unnecessarily.

    • jim

Tim, Your statement that Palin couldn’t be mayor of a small town? She was a goveror of the largest state in the U.S. Of the presidential& vice presidential canidates the other three were all senators(legislative branch)and she was the only one with executive branch experience. As for the devestation caused by thr Bush admistration, I know that 2 years of Polosi& Reid play a huge part of that. To say Obama is doimg a good job of cleaning that up? Define good job.

Tim Says: President Obama took office when our nation was in one of the darkest times of our history. The incompetence of the previous administration had ruined our economy, our national reputation and had made every American less safe.
      ***************************************************************************
Well Tim, if you think that is actually TRUE, then THANK GOD he didn’t “take over” & wasn’t “in office” on Sept.11, 2001; Dec. 7, 1941; any time between 1960 and 1975, or any time between 1929 and 1936, or 1941 and 1946, or between 1949 & 1951, because judging from his performance “now” we would have really been screwed “then”.
As far as “the previous admin.” ruining the economy: You can thank “lying Bill Clinton for starting the housing debaucle, for going to fannie mae and freddie mac, and making them “relax” their loan requirements so that “everybody” that wanted a home could get a loan, regardless of whether they qualified or NOT. Remember “I feel your pain”?
As far as feeling less safe. I felt a LOT safer under Bush than I have since Obama took office and started his muslum Islam loving antics, NOT saluting our flag, showing more allegiance to other countries than to ours, wanting to pass our soverignty off to a one world government, and/or the United Nations, trying to subvert our Constitution, & transferring military trials for enemy prisoners to civilian courts. What kind of message do you think this president sends to terrorists around the world? Terrorists were hating Americans and our country LONG before Bush was in office!!
All liberal socialists ALWAYS BLAME BUSH or somebody else for everything, because you just can’t defend Obamas policies, and his ineptitude. Any one who spits on the C.O.T.U.S. is my enemy, Not my leader.

      _____________________________________________________________________

      I’m Sick of “Inherited”

The Washington Post babbled again today about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush, blah blah blah. Amazingly enough, a lot of people swallow this nonsense.

So once more, I’ll try a short civics lesson.

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress, and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party. They controlled the budget process for FY 2008 and FY 2009, as well as FY 2010 and FY 2011. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. For FY 2009, though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009.

Let’s remember what the deficits looked like during that period:

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.

This liar has got to GO!

        JC, another great reply. Thanks

      • jim

Hi JC, When Obama was running for president he was telling everybody what was wrong and he was going to fix it. Now the ball is in his court and it’s ” I inherited this mess”. What did he think, we hit the reset button and go from there? He should quit sniviling, admit he bit off more than he can chew, and move out off the way.

      • Stephaan

Good post JC, It is clear and concise, and should be understandable by even the most lame liberals. I have copied it for future use to answer the them whenever they claim obummer “inherited” the debt.

1st — I would trust Palin more so than I would trust Obama in a real national emergency!

2nd — I think the darkness you saw for so long is from living under that mushroom!

Tim, first things first. You blast Palin based soley on heresay. check you facts before you comment. Nobody said the job was going to be easy, and Obama is doing a pisspoor job as a leader. Maybe you believe in Karl Marx and marxism, that is your choice. American’s don’t and that is our choice.

      Tim,
Come down off your cloud and leave that crack pipe alone.

Barry over time will be noted as the single worst president ever. No wait he will be noted as the VERY last Progressive President ever.

The end is near for all Progressives be they Dem or Rep’s. And just in case you have not grasped that fact, a progressive is not really either. Can you wrap you gray matter around that?

Well Zach, I clicked on your link and read it. Obviously Keeger is a liberal socialist, and sees BIG government as furthering his socialist ideals, and agenda.
I don’t think anybody thinks that government started out evil.
It only became that way when they got away from the original government that started this country.
They became evil when they started subverting the Constitution!
They became evil when they became so big, and started believing in total government control!
They became evil when they became filled with corrupted people, who do not represent the American citizens and the country, but instead only look to forward their own personal agendas and financial futures.
Every great civilization throughout history has failed, and it has been because of big government and rulers who have become corrupted.

      • http://Don'thaveone Sally

You are correct Stephaan. So many many Americans including the President have no clue of how the International finamncial system works let alone in my opinion at least 50% of Americans think the Federal Reserve is owned by our Government. None of the bailouts should have happened. If my business fails, no one is going to come along and say “Oh poor Sally we have to help her”. The biggest Chrisis (monetary) started with Freddie and Fannie. Many many foreign banks bought into their bonds since they were guaranteed by the US Government including the interest rate (for you who don’t know those were Mortgaged backed bonds called CMO’s) so when that bubble burst, banks were loosing money hand over fist. The European banks are allowed to issue debt instruments called Medium Term Debentures. These Debrnturs historically carried an interest rate of 7.5% interest and mainly were issued for 10 years. This is what kept those bankss a float (their ponzi scheme) however, Carter decided it would be better if US banks made their money on charging mom and pop, interest on mortgages, bank service charges, etc., and put thru legislation that the US banks could no longer issue debt instruments, only the Country could issue Treasury Bonds. So the US banks had to make their money from loans and sweeping their cash to the Fed every day after 2:00 PM. Ever wonder why you could not do a wire transfer of your cash after 2:00 pm – that is the reason. Then before the bank opens in the morning, the cash is returned to the deposit accounts. My point is, if our banking system had been left alone, it would have worked itself out and would not have to be bailed out. Other banks would have bought the debt. NO BAILOUTS PERIOD. The only thing Bush did on the Freddie Fannie debacle, was on the CMO’s that had not as yet matured, guarantee the interest, no the face amount of the instrument. The money that was being made from the sales, were stolen by the then CEO’s. Noone did any auditing until too late. Isn’t that always the way with a government run entity. The only reason that Bo got elected was because he was black period and a great teleprompter reader.

  • Tim

Ever since Obama has gotten in office the GOP (Great Obstructionist Party) has done nothing but tried to make it almost impossibe for him to accomplish anything. The GOP members of Congress are just trying to score political points. They don’t care about the needs of the country. Republicans care about those on Easy Street, while Democrats care about those on Main Street. I think all of the Republicans should be voted out of office in 2010 for their obstruction.

Let me also say, that Fox Noise (aka Fox New) has been lambasting Obama at every turn of the road. He’s been called a racist, socialist, and every other bad name that Beck, Hannity, and O’Reilly could think of. I really think the Democrats should forge ahead with their agenda and leave the Republicans on the sidelines.

    • jim

Tim, When you see what someone is doing or trying to do is WRONG it’s OK to stand against it and say NO. As far as being obstructionists The Repubilcans must have learned well from Tom Daschel and his buddies because it’s what they did so well.

    • TIME

TIM, lets see if you can grasp this, if you have 220 guys and the other guy has 160 who has more guys?

How about if you have 60, and the other guy has only 40 guys who has more?

Logic here dude now think hard, if you have a clearly larger number how is it that the smaller number obstructs you?

Clearly that GOD there are many Democrats in Congress that don’t agree with the other’s in thier party who don’t read the bills that they sign that will become LAW. Now I don’t know about you but do you really want someone who fails to read a Bill voting on it?

Call me crazy if you will, but when it comes to laws that YOU and I will have to follow I dam well know its the fiduciary responsibility of said person’s to read the bill before they sign it. Thats outright FRAUD to sign a bill with out reading it.

In so far as the Bribes go thats outright FRAUD, if you pulled that stunt your butt would be in jail in a New York Heart beat.

      Tim,

You’re a sad fella, that’s for sure. You don’t even recognize that you’re accusing the Republicans of doing exactly what Democrats have done every time there’s a Republican controlled congress! I’m sorry you’re having so much trouble understanding things lately. People are getting sick and tired of the emotional blackmail (ex: your comment about Democrats being for Main Street and Republicans being for those on Easy Street)…what a crock…

What have you personally done as a Democrat and as a human being to better your neighbor lately? I know you all think you have a corner on the “helping others” market, but in most cases the Liberals are great at volunteering alright…they just volunteer everyone elses money…and little if any of their own….what a bunch of self-rightous bleeding heart social get togethers. You all deserve each other’s misery!

      Fed Up Gal

    • Dylan

      Yeah Tim?
How EXACTLY did the GOP manage to make it “impossible” for your savior obama to accomplish anything. Obama had a super majority for the first full year of his term, up until last week! Gawd Tim,pay attention. Majorities of liberals in the house AND senate!! What more could he want? You can’t use that as an excuse Tim. You’re losin it Tim. Maybe you should just stick with your parties chosen rant… blame Bush, blame Bush, blame Bush…..

p.s. Tim…Obama IS a socialist, so I guess you’re admitting FOX News IS telling you the truth..

  • James Corbin

    Obama, has screwed America!!!!!!!!!

    • TIME

      James,
      Yes he has.

  • Stephaan

“Obama” He also took several shots at Republican lawmakers, stating that they have been unwilling to compromise and have been impeding progress.——————————————————————
How can Obama accuse those darn republicans, who are in the minority, of being unwilling to compromise, and impeding progress, when all the liberals in the majority, have been making back room deals with Elitist Nancy and Heil Harry?
Oh… maybe obummer doesn’t know that we know this.

  • s c

What can be said about Comrade Obummer? You could say liar, fake, fraud, arrogant, devious, egocentric in the extreme, oblivious, hateful, a supreme useful idiot, manchurian candidate, community dissolver, union stooge, fifth columnist, domestic enemy, Constitution-hater, freedom-hater, a mole’s mole, a skunks’ skunk, living proof that Darwin was wrong, and someone who sees the likes of Stalin and Mao as role models.
The list of accurate words go on and on. Let him be seen for who and what he is. He is a man with no country. He is anathema personified.
