Obama Hypocrisy And The Arms Trade Treaty

The hypocrisy of the Barack Obama regime knows no bounds.

Yesterday, Secretary of State John Kerry signed the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty, despite warnings from 130 members of Congress and a vote of 53-46 in the Senate earlier this year to “uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.”

Among other things, the treaty bars signatory countries from transferring conventional weapons if they violate arms embargoes or if they promote acts of genocide, crimes against humanity or war crimes. The treaty also prohibits the export of conventional arms if they could be used in attacks on civilians or civilian buildings such as schools and hospitals.

Even as Kerry was putting pen to paper, the CIA continued to transfer arms to al-Qaida and al-Nusra terrorists in Syria: two groups that have been raping, beheading and killing Christians; executing surrendered Syrian government troops; and beheading and shooting men, women and children they deem loyal to the Bashar Assad regime.

If that’s not bad enough, the Arms Trade treaty removes U.S. sovereignty and infringes on the 2nd Amendment. It will regulate individual gun ownership. Signatory countries will be required to “maintain a national control list that shall include [rifles and handguns]” and “to regulate brokering taking place under its jurisdiction for conventional arms.”

By all indications, the treaty will never be ratified by the Senate, as indicated by its previous vote. But that won’t stop the lawless Obama regime from using executive actions to try to implement provisions of the treaty. Nor will warnings by Senator Bob Corker.

Obama has shown through his many actions and executive orders that he believes he is Ramses himself: “So let it be written; so let it be done.”

This government has done everything but declare war on the citizens. Enough is enough. He is not the grand poobah like he thinks he is. If the senate oks this we need to take a big stand. He is taking all our rights away. We the citizens probably will have to take drastic action and to hell with his martial law. He needs to be dethroned and all his czars thrown out on their ear and arrested for treason.

    • Sunshine49

He committed treason four years ago when he took US states to the UN Human Rights Committee and sided with foreign countries AGAINST US states. The Republicans didn’t do anything then and they are NOT going to do anything now! There is no sacred honor among thieves!

If voters do their job in 2014 Boehner and McConnel will no longer be leaders of the Party. They might survive primaries and get back into Congress, but if enough true conservatives are elected in other Congressional seats then their days are done as leaders.
McCain, Graham, and any other Conservatives who want to keep the status quo in Washington also need to go. I’l take one Cruz for two sent to pasture Rinos (McCain and Graham).

        • Mike_Travis

txbadone, Given the fact that there was rampant, blatant, and widespread voter fraud in 2012, there can be no logical reason to expect that voting makes any difference whatsoever. Here in Columbus, the commie-crats masquerading as dems were busing Somali’s to the polls in droves. Ohio also had a voter turnout over 100% of registered voters, with some counties going for Ovomit 100% with not a single vote for Romney. Similar results occurred in Florida. So yes let’s vote but we can no longer rely on voting to do anything other than put a new bunch of criminals and traitors into office. If a good one squeaks in, the power brokers in both parties run them off just like they did to LCOL Allen West.

No my friend, we must do more than vote. We must ACT! See my post above for one way we can let our voices be heard. If you have another of equal boldness, let us know.

          Your fellow Patriot.

          • txbadonetoo

I do believe there is widespread voter fraud – that is why Eric Holder and the Dem party fight so hard to curtail any voter ID laws.. I don’t know how to solve that besides to vote Conservative governments into power in the States – which Ohio has under Kasich (sp?) and to implement voter laws.
Trust me – nobody is more frustrated than I am – I make Senator Cruz look a tad liberal.. but we have to go about this in a legal and constructive manner.
Mike – I do agree with your post above to get ‘more involved and more vocal’ and to not allow our local reps to feed us BS.. I still believe working collectively across he country to make it clear to Conservative candidates that they will be voted out is the best first step.. McCain is out / Graham is out..
I donate to great candidates – I even donated to Col Alan West who isn’t in my state.. We can all collectively attack this in our own way(s)..

          • vicki

Watch for the Congress to decide on who is a “journalist” If they get that power then the soapbox is confirmed compromised (It is already in trouble now with MSM having such an affection with the current administration and the first amendment “zones” )

The ballot box is now confirmed to be compromised.

The Jury box is compromised (www.FIJA.org to try and recover it before it is too late)

If the Soapbox goes down hard there remains only 1 box to defend freedom and liberty.

Some of us seriously doubt that we will ever have a free and honest election ever again.

    • Mike_Travis

This is what must be shouted across the land! Well said. Now who will step up and charge them? Clearly congress has neither the courage nor the integrity to charge them, possibly (and I would say clearly) because they are complicit. So who will?

This man has the answer. His name is Walter Fitzpatrick, LtCMDR, US Navy, (ret). He took his Oath to defend the Constitution seriously as has LCOL Terry Lakin and others by acting on to defend that Oath. Walter has been imprisoned once for simply trying to expose corruption in Tennessee despite doing nothing illegal. He has since filed charges of Treason against Ovomit and he has a website showing how We the People can follow his example. Here it is: http://thejaghunter.wordpress.com/a-sample-letter-anyone-can-write-naming-obama-in-commission-of-treason-click-here/

I have already filed charges once and am in the process of doing so again. If no one has a better idea, I submit it is time for all Patriots to follow the lead of these honorable men and file charges yourself.

If you do not do this, then do something. We can no longer be satisfied with just voting or just complaining on blogs and emails. We must ACT!

      What say you America?

Anyone who votes to subvert our Constitution is guilty of treason. Traitors should be executed.

    • Mike_Travis

How many acts of treason must someone commit before they are charged? Ovomit has committed more than one, with the latest being his dictatorial ruling that he has “waived” the law prohibiting giving arms to terrorists. That is the most blatant act of treason I have yet witnessed, but no one has even made a peep.

I do not know the legalities of it, but I do know that We the People must stand up and charge him ourselves. If enough people did, we may be able to shame or embarrass congress into acting. It is certainly worth a try.

The lord and master has spoken. Please be reminded that you, Wayne, and all others who quite correctly know that he is a fraud are seriously jeopardizing your very existence on this Planet by questioning his authority as the one and only. He has the power to do on this Planet anything and everything he desires and anyone else, anywhere on the surface of the planet had better get to understand that right now, or suffer the consequences of this “The greatest personage ” ever to be born and deserving of the total subservience of all inhabitants of the Planet. It is obvious that most have not yet realized just how great and magical Obama is. I stand as one who refuses to be bullied by this fraud or any of his bully friends. They are thugs, gangsters, lack all moral fibre and are actually worthless excuses for humans.

300 million firearms in the hands of 100 million plus Americans will eventually have to explain it to them the hard way. If they come for my guns, they will get the bullets, and lots of them. I may die, but, I will die free standing on my feet! If every dam one of us stands up, we will cower them like the mealy mouthed little tin plated tyrants they really are.
On a side note. Today marks the 62nd year of my time on this world. For most of that time I have been relatively free. I’ve gotten used to it, and relish that feeling in my heart. I will not go into the darkness of Socialism/Communism easily, and neither should any other God fearing American. “Live free, or Die!”

Isn’t it ironic that every time this UN Arms Treaty has come up, there is a mass shooting just before it comes up for signing? Is it also ironic that all of this has happened during the present “administration?” Is it also ironic that he signed it on the same day that Cruz was standing up to the Senate in order to defund Obummercare, and most eyes that were watching the news were watching that? Our Bill of Rights would never exist if not for the Second Amendment, and this poser believes he can just sign them away like a check to a biller. I agree with CWA; get rid of the treasonous rabble.

The big issue is finding enough in Congress to do it. All appear to either be bought off or threatened, I also believe Justice Roberts was threatened.
Until the media is willing to transmit the truth to the American people only a few will actually know or care what is going on. Looks to me like it is not only the Hollywood elite that has sold their souls to O’Bama and his minion.

The irony is that I’ve said this for months ever since James Holes went wacko shooting up a theater in Aurora CO then Adam Lanza Massacred people at Sandyhook elementary school Both instances involved a person with mental problems who were on medication Both young and from single parent homes both espoused liberal tenet and both instances occurred in “safe Gun free zones”

It certainly didn’t take ODUMBO long to exploit these tragedies to the point of parading victim’s portraits in front of the media not once but on several occasions Media took full advantage so they could ignore several of the other malfeasances in office committed by this administration.

The recent Navy yard shootings where yet Aaron Alexis another mentally unstable gained access to a “safe gun free zone” who too was on medication had free reign. All these in this short period of time a coincidence? Hardly. I think ODUMBO and his crones had direct involvement in programing unstable individuals with drugs pushing them over the edge and actually stage these atrocities for POLITICAL gain.

This administration has an agenda to disarm Americans. What better way to appeal to the public to push an agenda than exploit a tragedy? If you think I am wrong, remember the Liberal conspiracy theories of 9/11 accusing Bush of culpability in those attacks.

Those who refuse to entertain such an idea are literally one dimensional and programmed by the left.

I’m sorry bur too many instances this close together while pushing an agenda and deflecting interest from other scandals is far from being coincidental.

The worst thing I have seen in the last few years was the Ft. It’s not limited to just our school systems unless what I’m about to say is the end results of our school system.
When I see bad spelling or grammar on these comment pages, I correct them and all they do is jump down my throat saying ” well, you know what I meant” or someone else will step in and say ” We know what he/she meant”. Well, they’re doing the same thing in our schools.

        • Vis Fac

Unfortunately it is our school system diction spelling and grammar have been replaced by political correctness and the lazy unionized teachers are only there for a paycheck not to teach!!

You can tell a lot about a person (at least I can) by listening to them speak and what they say. People who use text language in written forums are usually young and lazy and cannot spell. Those who use pejoratives or assign labels are insecure. Those who swear or curse have no vocabulary and are inarticulate.

These are merely a few examples having been a business owner for nearly 40 years I have come across the gamut of types and education levels and as a result are nearly 98% correct in my assessments.

I used to host foreign exchange students and with this particular Japanese girl that I had, she wanted to take violin lessons. The only time a teacher was available was at 6:00 pm and at the school. This was during the winter months here in Colorado and it being cold we waited for her in one of the classrooms. Boredom setting in I went through the understock drawers to see what was in there. I found a very large book that spoke of the federal regulations guideline for the teacher on how to teach the children.
What I gathered about this instruction manual was that the teacher had no liberty on how to teach her/his students. She/he had to follow these federal instructions.
In days of old, teachers were depended on to have a plan on how to teach and what to teach, and the teacher was talked about according to how good she/he taught.
Now as I see it, it is unfair to blame the teachers. They’re only doing what the government tells them to do, in the fashion that the government wants. If people want to gripe about our education system they should tell the government to get out of our classrooms and let the teachers teach to their ability. Then and only then can a teacher be justifiably criticized for their abillity or lack thereof. Otherwise they’re only doing what they’re told to do as per job requirements.

The fact that no treaty can supersede the US Constitution is also lost on the liberals here (and elsewhere).

    • DAVE THE REAL RAVE

But, it be UN, so it will never work, buddy!!

      • TML

Technically true, but the problem is the treaty inherently calls for a national registry – which isn’t necessarily an infringement of the 2nd Amendment (because taking names doesn’t necessarily prohibit the purchase) – but it’s a slippery slope that historically has been a prerequisite to confiscation.

The treaty preamble explicitly reaffirms “the sovereign right of any State to regulate and control conventional arms exclusively within its territory, pursuant to its own legal or constitutional system”… however, this is not necessarily true because of Article 10 which requires, “Each State Party shall take measures, pursuant to its national law, to regulate brokering taking place under its jurisdiction for conventional arms as covered under Article 2 (1) [vaguely described in Article 2(1)(h) as “small arms and light weapons”]…”

Broker is defined as “a person [individual private citizens] or entity acting as an intermediary that brings together relevant parties and arranges or facilitates a potential transaction of small arms and light weapons in return for some form of benefit, whether financial or otherwise” (UN doc. A/62/163, para. 8)

Article 10 of the treaty then continues by explicitly saying that such measures ‘may’ include “requirements of registration or written authorization of brokers”; a national list or registry of private gun owners would be required for this treaty to have any teeth, even though its jurisdiction regards international trade (i.e. retailers gun-running to Mexico – which the Federal Government is already Constitutionally empowered to regulate).

Otherwise, this treaty seems to be an exercise in futility and we should err on the side of declining to enter.

    • Robert Messmer

Did you read your link? It quite clearly states that while SCOTUS should declare it unConstitutional that would not stop Obama and Holder from doing their worst in trying to trample our rights.

  • Scott

According to the Constitution, only the Senate has the power to ratify a treaty. Since the Senate said no, signing on to it is a major violation of constitutional law and structure. Thus, Kerry and Obama, who ordered him to sign on to it should be impeached and convicted on prima facie evidence that they did knowingly violate the constitution and their oaths of office.

It won’t happen, and the Dems who control the Senate have more loyalty to their party than to the country, so they wouldn’t convict anyway… but in an ideal or even moderately honest world it would happen.

    • LET’S CRUZ TO VICTORY IN 2016

“signing on to it is a major violation of constitutional law and structure.”

Absolutely false. The Executive Branch needs no permission to sign treaties and no Constitutional provision has been violated whatsoever.

      • TML

“The Executive Branch needs no permission to sign treaties”

So long as such signature does not bring the treaty into effect.

“He [the President] shall have power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur…” – Article 2 Section 2 Clause 2

Provided by Article 21 of the Arms Trade Treaty; essentially the signature is meaningless, until ratified by two thirds of the Senate. http://treaties.un.org/doc/Treaties/2013/04/20130410%2012-01%20PM/Ch_XXVI_08.pdf#page=21

Precisely. That’s the reason my statement is correct, and confirms in detail why the signature on the treaty is not a “violation of constitutional law and structure,” as maintained by Scott.

Politicians rather local, national, or international LIE and will not tell you their true intentions. Remember the “common sense compromise” requiring smokers to sit in a special section in restaurants? Now its no smoking in the building or within 10 feet of the door or any window. All those “nuts” claiming that it was intended to keep people from smoking were proved true and the “common sense compromise” was proved to be false.
