Obama Believes He Is Representative Of All Americans

Here’s your tug-at-the-heartstrings-less-than-true quote of the day from President Barack Obama.

“I think we’ve got a good chance of seeing it pass if members of Congress are listening to the American people,” Obama said during a “Today Show” interview that aired on Tuesday. “The notion that Congress would defy the overwhelming instinct of the American people after what we saw happen in Newtown, I think, is unimaginable.”

The President went on, “I think that all of us had to reflect on what we did or didn’t do after Newtown.  If the question is ‘is this potentially difficult politically because the gun lobby is paying attention and has shown no willingness to budget?’ Then the answer is yes, that’s a given. Now, if the question is what’s the right thing to do and what the American people believe in, overwhelmingly. If that’s what’s guiding members of Congress during the next couple of weeks, then this will pass.”

A recent Gallup poll indicates that only about 4 percent of the American public is concerned with the passage of new gun laws.

The only way we can figure to reconcile the President’s aforementioned quotes is to replace key words as follows:

“I think we’ve got a good chance of seeing it pass if members of Congress are listening to the American people me,” Obama said during a “Today Show” interview that aired on Tuesday. “The notion that Congress would defy the overwhelming instinct of the American people my wishes after what we saw happen in Newtown, I think, is unimaginable.”

Obama represents not one single American. All he represents are the America-hating leftwingers who unfortunately are still using OUR oxygen.

    • Matheus Grunt

Oh, he does represent a few million, those who are enemies of our Republic that is.

      • bear

he doesn,t represent me.. because I would never stage a event .to further my agenda..or should I say the u,n,s agenda..this new red flag bombing is going to blow up in his face.first repot was it was the police.blowing up.unattended back pacs that were found..YET..if it was a controlled detonation.why were people still running..that whole block would have been cordoned off..then the main street media started with.it was terrorist attack..i agreeanyone who would use a bomb is a terrorist..but not in the way we know terrorist .like al queda..if this was al queda,,it would havfe been a suicide bombe and 100,s would have been killed.and the would have taken creidit…the bomber needs to be known if he,s going to get his virgins,,tey wopuld of found bit,s and pieces of ali baba..all over the place..

Obama “binladen” only represents the U.N., those very few in Hollywood and the media mongrels and the radical left wing which are always in Hollywood and in the media. Now he is placing radical leaders in our court systems and in the leadership roles of our military who only promote his paid for agenda.

LMAO – What’s this boob talking about, congress defies the American People all day every day. Duh!

Earlier today I saw a Newsmax poll that showed 70% of those polled wanted NO expanded background checks. Another poll I saw recently had 75% of the respondants saying no semi-suto bans of any kind.

    • Gordo

      That’s good news,indeed !!

    • bear

I know he keeps saying 90 percent of the people ,where does he get his stats.

Please at least try to represent your argument with a site that agrees with your argument. The site/poll you link to and reference shows the topics Americans feel are “… the most important problems facing the nation today”. It does NOT indicate that most Americans do not want tighter regulations on those who get firearms; the poll says it is not the TOP concern. Mr. Rolley needs to be aware that at least some of us think when we read what he writes.

The only Americans congress listens to is those who contribute large amounts of money to their campaign fund. That’s why corporations are now considered “citizens”! Crooks the entire lot of them. We no longer have a democracy nor a free people.

The Gallup Polls are slanted very far to the left. They are designed to get the results that the left wants them to get. The real percentage of the people that are concerned about the gun grabbing laws they are trying to pass is very much higher then 4%.

    • jason12321

That poll says that 4% of people think that gun control is the most important issue, meaning that 96% of people don’t think that gun control is the most important issue. But with the economy and everything else listed, it’s no surprise that gun control isn’t the *top* issue.

But I do agree that the majority of people do not support more restrictions. I’m just saying that this particular poll is of no use whatsoever, although it does indicate that most people do not consider more gun control to be a good thing.

  • Gordo

    Thats more like it !!!

  • nathan

This sentence is problematic, “A recent Gallup poll indicates that only about 4 percent of the American public is concerned with the passage of new gun laws.”

It would be better worded something like, “A recent Gallup poll indicates that only about 4 percent of the American public view passing new gun regulations as a priority.”

This would be in line with the results of the actual poll, and less ambiguous.

America was founded on a constitution that has served us well for over 200 years. We never needed or invited Obama to come along and violate our constitution and remove our rights because he thinks it should be so.

The oath of office obligates him to preserve, protect and defend the constitution, not to change it.

Obama does not have absolute power according to the constitution. If we do not stop him from changing our constitution by presidential orders rather than by the legal process required by our constitution, then Obama will have absolute power and America will cease to be the great constitutional republic it was meant to be.

America’s biggest terrorist threat sits in the oval office and has reached it’s tentacles deep into the branches of our government.

I want to let everyone know that Obama has 6 Muslim czars, one is a Sharia czar, Does that mean we are going to follow Sharia laws? He also has a DHS czar, isn’t that sort of like having a Fox guarding your hen house. Obama will stop at nothing to get the change he is always talking about. We must tell everyone what he is doing behind Americans backs. In his speeches he lies and says one thing but, he usually does the opposite of what he says, for instance, he took a vow to honor, protect and defend our Constitution an now he tries and does violate our Constitution continuously , especially, when it gets in the way of his plan to turn America into a communist socialist nation. I read, don’t know for sure, but I have seen it on several websites, that he has violated our Constitution over 21 times, Our President is, as Michael says, The biggest Terrorist’ in America today and he is fundamentally dismantling our Constitution and our American values, one small step at a
      time.

We know his agenda and his allies. We know his cabnet. What we do not know is the dirt he has on those in power postitions. He can not be illiminated, impeached or removed. If we were to get a hold of him by some strange chance we would need to get every bit of information he has out of him and that would take some time. He would rather kill himslef than reveal his plans or knowledge we seek so we would have to take great care in making sure his safety was maintained.

It’s nice to see intelligent people speek their mind. If we lost our right to bare arms, we would lose our freedom. The only reason that other country’s haven’t invaded us is because they know that our citizens are armed. There can’t be that many ignorant people to let our government take our guns. May God bless us all.
