NO SOUP FOR YOU!

November 11, 2010 by

NO SOUP FOR YOU!

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, heart disease is the No. 1 killer of Americans. More than 1.1 million Americans will have a heart attack this year. A quarter of us who shuffle off this mortal coil each year will be felled by heart disease, often due to a high-sodium diet. High blood pressure, Heart Attacks, STROKES — WHO WILL SAVE US?

Have no fear, beefy brothers and stout sisters! The mighty Michael Bloomberg, mayor of New York City, is on the case even as we speak. Fresh off a victory against the scourge of public smoking, he’s fixed a new target in his sights — one of the truly diabolical demons of the dietary dominion:

Soup.

It appears the elevated levels of sodium in some canned foods have incited His Honor into action. The City of New York is embarking on a taxpayer-funded, $500,000 campaign to demonstrate to the denizens of the Big Apple that eating soup is… bad. Subway walls will be festooned with posters depicting cans of Bean ‘n Bacon machine-gunning customers outside the Carnegie Deli. Actually, the posters will depict soup cans overflowing with geysers of salt. It’s more of a kinder, gentler, patronizing tone.

And patronizing is the operative word here. This is a half million dollars which could have sent a couple of kids to college, to the store for a decade’s worth of groceries or even to a Yankees home game (obstructed view seats).

Let’s assume that Bloomberg’s heart is in an appropriately low-sodium place. He’s going to plaster the walls of the electric sewer with posters warning Noo Yawkezz to lay off the salt. Wouldn’t the half million be better spent simply having Bloomberg run around Central Park pelting passerby with broccoli florets? In a city renowned the world over for culinary excess — e.g. those curbside carts where broccoli is most decidedly NOT served — at least Bloomberg would give his loyal constituents a laugh. Remember kiddies: happy = healthy! At the very least, the Mayor himself would be safer. Just imagine this unfortunate exchange:

Bloomberg: See here, Paulie! Unhand that minestrone! It’s full of sodium!

Paulie: Yo, Nico! Get duh sim-ment. Hizzahnna’s goin’ fuh a swim.”

Mr. Mayor — put down the roughage, and back slowly away.

Paulie’s steady diet of cured meats will likely have him swimming with the fishes ahead of schedule, presuming he doesn’t die of — ahem — lead poisoning first. But $500,000 to convince Paulie and the crew that high-sodium diets are bad for you?

Imagine instead of working in “second-hand plumbing supplies,” Paulie is a chef at Teodora. Are we to believe that he’s going to serve up the finest linguine con vongole on the Eastern Seaboard, but dine on cauliflower in the kitchen? Does Paulie play football in Flatbush on Saturday afternoons? He could get hurt. How about $500,000 to convince him to take up knitting? Those needles can be pretty sharp. Better we just take the half million and wrap Paulie and his pals in foam rubber.

Come to think of it, when we consider all the ills which may befall us, perhaps the Federal government could step in. Instead of $500,000, it could be $500 BILLION. We’ll wrap everyone in foam rubber. We’ll spend the rest of the cash on organic vegetable farming. Of course, we’ll be wrapped in foam rubber, so we’ll have to import labor to do the actual farming, get the veggies to the market, to our houses, to our plates and even our mouths. But then, the farmers and feeders will want benefits; and that means more foam rubber.

We’re going to have to take our chances. Despite Bloomberg’s crusade against the Campbell’s Kids, along with similar nanny-state efforts against smoking, carbon emissions and even light bulbs, some people drive their hybrids to the co-op to buy candles, and others pick up the Fatty-Fatty-Fat-Fat Platter at the Stop’n'Gorge after installing new halogens on the F-350. And some are going to grab their chests at 55, and others will check out much later.

Take some advice from Dr. Mark Wiley and Bob Livingston at the Personal Liberty Digest: Try to live a reasonably healthy lifestyle. Although I could use a little improvement in a few areas, I don’t require the Federal government or Bloomberg to spend your money and mine to do it. (Dr. Wiley’s advice is free!) Even McDonald’s doesn’t tell you that the All-Big-Mac diet is going to prolong your life.

Eat healthier. And avoid socializing with “used plumbing supply salesmen.”

Of course, you still might get hit by a car, a bus or someone aiming at Paulie. Memo to Bloomberg:

This is going to cost a lot more than $500,000.

I think bloomberg should stop exhaling and show us all how green he is or maybe blue would do!I for one will eat what I want smoke what I want drink what I want and nobody will tell me other wise.

    • Think Again

Old rich conservative tax-cheats afraid to die.

      • 45caliber

Hey, he wants to be remembered as a HERO in the history books. He can’t help it if he is afraid of doing all the stuff a good hero normally does, like getting shot at. So he has to do something to get in the books! Right?

        • Granny Mae

I think some of these people are just so full of themselves they can’t stop trying to tell others what to do and how to live ! Take a good look at this world today and tell me who in their right mind would want to live to be 100 and live in this mess all that time ?

I too will eat what I want and do what I want and if I go at 80 instead of 100 so be it ! This guy in New York is NUTs ! He needs to go !

          • Dan az

            hey granny
I would like to find the guy that said these where our golden years!Wouldnt you?

      • http://kjnf.net jimmimac

Think Again, I am normally not rude like you left wing loons, however right wing cheats are a rare breed compared to all the left wing tax cheats as a tax consultant since 74 I know for a fact that over 95% of all tax cheats are in fact democrats, in addition if you didn’t watch the news when obumer was trying to select a secretary of th treasury all nine of his applicants were in fact tax cheats including Tom Daschle the guy received 20 million dollars in his pack fund and was $120,000. in arrears to the IRS so stop injecting typical left wing stupidity in your analysis of the right it won’t hold water!!! Plus it makes you sound like those hate stream members of the hate stream media, ignorant as well as stupid.

        • alpha-lemming

Goes a long way toward explaining the difficulties in filling those cabinet positions.

        • HFlashman

“I know for a fact that over 95% of all tax cheats are in fact democrats,” <— Now THAT is funny. Unbelievable and wholly untrue…but funny that it was stated hoping someone would believe it.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            flushedman,
Weren’t you the one the other day telling us to stop disputing posts without facts?? Where’s yours????

        • Warrior

Wait, I’ve got the answer by golly. 10% FLAT TAX for everyone. NO more IRS, NO more tax accountants (sorry may have to find a new career). No more deductions. And all this will be phased in by 2020. Sorry you big universities, you going to have to come up with some new curriculum because tax accounting will go the way of the dodo.

          • Christin

            Warrior,
I’m with you on that… no more IRS or Tax preparers, but we may still need acountants to keep the books on credits and debits for purposes of balancing business and bank accounts of companies.

The new found American job openings could be in:

Education, Oil & Gas, and Farming & Ranching…

1.) Teachers to teach TRUE American History about our Republic and The Constitution, Bill of Rights, Federalist Papers, and Founding Fathers at all grade levels (K- College),
2.) Teachers to teach about Capitalism, Free-Markets, Free Enterprise and, of course, the other ones: socialism, communism, facism, marxism, dictorship, Monarchy, oligarchy…
3.) Teachers to teach plants and herbs and wild plants that are edible and how to find & grow them.
4.) Teaching natural medicines from plants and how to use them.,
5.) Farmers (& orchards) to plant, grow and harvest Organic healthy food that is NOT Genetically Modified,
6.) Teachers to teach students to cook and can foods they grow and to use pressure cookers to store up food and not waste food,
7.) People to teach ranching of cattle, pigs, chicken… more people ranching and raising animals, the less GMO animals (food) we will have to raise, grow and eat.
8.) Educated people to start eliminating the bad food additives, bad vaccines with mercury preservatives, and bad drugs with side effects that kill or really don’t work from (Big Pharma) that are slowly killing our population.
9.) Natural Medical Doctors that know more about the plants and natural bio-identical hormones to treat patients than drugs from phamaceuticals.
10.) Oil and gas drilling for energy use to utilize our resources God has given us and the crews to work them.
11.) Building of oil rigs, gas pipelines, and oil refineries
            12.) ?

LET’S PUT SOME PEOPLE TO WORK, huh, Warrior!

We should have been teaching the Truth about these things all along. Many of us, myself included, don’t know how to take care of ourselves if/when our economy goes south and hyperinflation hits and the grocery store shelves are empty. If we still knew how to do these things we wouldn’t all be so worried about the future. We probably wouldn’t be in this mess.

PS. People do need “iodine” found in Sea Salt or sodium (table salt) so that their Thyroid works properly. So shush-up Bloomberg. Somebody send him on a one way trip to the Dead Sea!

The Government through congress and the FDA has put and ALLOWED the poisonous “Bromine” a common food additive into our food which is a “toxic halide” that should NOT be in your body because it blocks iodine and iodine is needed to make the thyroid hormone.

(This is an example of #8 above to get the toxic additives out of our foods.)

So one might wonder what the gov’t is doing… why are they making a bunch of tired, sleepy, fat people out of us by diminishing our thyroids… easy targets maybe?!

          • Christin

#12.) Compounding Pharmacists and Pharmacies to make the natural coumpounded meds (like bio-identical hormones, Armour Thyroid…)

          • Christin

#13.) Professors to teach Constitutional Law in Colleges & Law Schools and maybe introduce in high school.

          • Granny Mae

            Christin,

Wonderful Post ! You said it all. The government is allowing way too many food additives in our foods today. Everything from plaster of paris in our bread to groth hormones in our meat and then we have all those wonderful excito toxins in everything, known as food dyes ! Thee are real good for kids with hyperactivity and ADD ! I know cause I have a family full of them ! I wish these tree hugging know it all do gooders would really make themselves useful and go after the FDA and all these food additives and chemicals that we eat everyday without knowing it. We need to start a movement to get rid of this crap ! Excellant Post !

          • eddie47d

Grannie; I didn’t know the Campbell Soup Co was run by the government.I think Campbell’s’ puts it’s own ingredients into it’s soup and is responsible for it’s content. If someone is putting plaster of paris in a food item then maybe that terrible government of ours needs needs to step up to the plate and be more involved. If private companies can’t police themselves then consumers better demand better oversight. If I live to be 80 or 100 I certainly don’t want to be slowly poisoned with weird chemicals just so the food tastes better.(or even to make it look better, such as with red dyes).

          • http://barbalin@comcast.net barbara

We’ll see if they’ll ever turn loose the money. When the ILLEGAL income tax was instituted, the instigators Promised the tax would never exceed 2%. That’s TWO PERCENT. They’ll never willingly relinquish the money. Was it Ben Franklin who said that if the American people ever woke up to what was going on, there would be a rveolution tomorrow, and we’d hang them all. The conspiracy goes back to the Garden. Well, we need to wake up, repent and pray. We can’t do much without God, but with Him, we have the authority to resist the devil who is at the head of this mess.

Say there jimmifact…You want to alk about “Cheats”?? Bush the just previous loon-a-tic used to dig for Black Gold where they knew there wasn’t any so they could collect (supposably loss)from their drilling and how about the the Enron scandal? Oh! He Toked (maryjane, bro, pot you know! Ragan SNL scandal, when all the farmers and ranchaers were loosing there land and equipment to the same owners of banks (SNL).. Also killed the rights of truck-drivers to earn a half-decent living and home/house for their family. Called “Unions”!!!! Papa Bush, George’s daddy…..At very speach Papa Bush would strongly enphasize the “NEW WORLD ORDER”!! have you any idea what that truy means? For one, looke at the back of one-dollar-bill. Look at a twenty-dollar-bill, the five-dollar-bill, hidden hand written nombers what could they possibly mean. Who “Deregulates” so companies can do and charge what they want> Republicans…Who gives/sends jobs to other countries>Republicans…What causes the mortgage companies to do what they did>Deregultion>Republicans…Who started the TAX on wages earned>Republicans to make monies of the wars..Who warned the people of the military industrial machine>Dwight Eisenhower>Republican>How was he aware of it’s exsistance is what I’d like to know..Eisenhower? German Blood? Who was caught at a airport latrine/Shit house trying to get some “Corn-Rubbing”? All Politicans steal and cheat. How can you be a politician? Don’t have a conscience, period!!!!

            oops. carol, idiot squared.

          • http://barbalin@comcast.net barbara

If the Conspirators can keep us locked in thinking this is a left wing/right wing battle, they can continue to play both sides. Read Gary Allan’s book “None Dare Call it Conspiracy”. It operates this way: When the conspirators want to do something bad, they put in a Democrat. When they want to do something REALLY bad, they put in a Republican who talks freedom and values and the whole nine yards, but who impliments great strides in the opposite direction. ie: blow up the Towers, and set up Homeland Security. To protect us defenseless drones, who, by the way, need to give up our rights to arm ourselves ( Which amendment is not so much to protect ourselves against commom thugs, but the government thugs.) There is a hidden enemy calling the shots, let’s not get distracted. They are now on a fast roll.

      • old white guy

        bloomberg, idiot squared.

    • Carol

You are so very correct and real. I applaud you Dan az…”Some” of these people who call themselves Americans are stupid and totally blind….This country is said to stand for freedom and rights….Yet these same “Americans” are imposing the removal of someone else’s freedom and rights…I’m a non-smoker, drink very-very little, but I do enjoy food….A nation without “Rights & Fredom”is called or refered to as “Communist Nation”!!! WHAT A WASTE FOR ALL THOSE VETEANS WHOM WERE AND ARE POWs, MIAs,Disabled (mantally an/or physically) and THOSE THAT DIED FOR OUR “Freedom & Rights”!!!!!! All of you out there; be ware of what you impose on others…If you on’t like the weather “MOVE”!!!!!! Don’t take someone’s righs and freedom away!!!! My dad is a Nam veteran and I’m proud of it and him…Do you also want to take down Veterans Day…Some of them smoke, drink and eat good and what you call junk-food!!!!!! You “SELFISH MORANS”!!!!!!!

        Carol
Thanks I just wounder some times if its just me or did we all just wake up on the other side of the mirror.Things are backwards!

      • http://barbalin@comcast.net barbara

I don’t see Obama or Michelle clammering against the addition of High Frutose Corn syrup, which is added to almost EVERY grocery store packaged or canned item. That and MSG are real poisons, and as far as the war against fat; outlaw HF corn syrup (which is really a CHEMICAL additive)and you will see the waistlines and the huge hips in this country disappear. When I was a kid, there may have been one obese student in the whole school, now with the soft drink machines etc, it’s hard to find any kids in good shape. It all follows the chemical/money trail. Now there is that SB 510 bill before Congress that will outlaw owning or planting unmodified seeds, and make anyone a criminal who saves or grows his own seeds. The debate on THAT bill ended yesterday. Nov. 17th Genetically modified seeds cannot reproduce, they can cause cancer, and have almost no real food value., but they will be a Big Brother monopoly, and this bill will destroy the “Bread Basket” of America, the way the Soviets destroyed the Bread Basket of Russia, prior to the Communist takeover.

Ahhh….he’s got too much money and too much time. He’s bored of spending his own money. Time to go Black Market folks. The rent’s too damn high and I ain’t got no salt! Do we still get a Happy Meal toy?

  • DaveH

An evitable result of Nationalized Healthcare. If somebody else claims to pay for you, then it is a very short stretch for them to dictate your eating habits.

Doesn’t too much sodium cause Global Warming?

      DaveH
A very good point and yes I believe it does!

        Dan az,
I thought it was beans?? didn’t they say the worst polluter is methane??? Help save the environment!! Eat less beans!!!

        • LifeonMars

Methane is number two. Worse global warming gas is dihydrogenoxide, I think I got the IUPC name right. Water. Ban that.

        • Dan az

Wow what can I say,but lets bottle it and send it to the man!

What about all of the hot-air in washington?? That sounds like a good place to “cool” earth.

      • Christin

        Raggs,
Yes, a LOT of HOT air in DC and why yes, God did cool them off a bit last year with a snow storm if you remember during their “Global Warming Conference” non-the-less! I belive it shut them down for a better part of a week, best savings we’ve had in years, ha :)!

Good news is …it looks like we have them on the run!
Shine the Light on the dark and expose the wrong doing.

Thanks for the link Angel… will check it out.

          • JeffH

AWb, I heard about it too. Do you know who two of the biggest investors of CCX that lost BIG TIME were???Gore’s climate corp and and Goldman Sachs! Now isn’t that a big surprise…hope there’s some TARP money left to repay them for their losses!

          • Granny Mae

You know what? This carbon exchange has never made sense to me ! How can you eliminate all this carbon if you can sell your unused portion to someone that is putting out more than he should so he buys your excess share! Where have they eliminated anything? They have just given an excuse to someone to keep doing what they are doing, but now someone can make money on it ! Like Gore and Soros ! I really hate these guys that think we are stupid !

        • http://barbalin@comcast.net barbara

          ha ha

    • 45caliber

Hhuummmm. If he offering to pay for all my food? As long as I don’t use salt in it? If he is, then I might listen. If he isn’t, then he shouldn’t have any say-so about what I eat. Actually, there are only a couple of things that I want any salt on and not much of that. But it’s the principle of the thing. After all, if he can tell me that I can’t eat salt, perhaps he has the right to tell me I have to go on a diet or only eat doughnuts the rest of my life. Does he have that right?

      • independant thinker

I routinely eat what would be considered excessive salt especially in the summer or when I am doing physical labor. I prespire quite freely and as a result I dump salt with my prespiration. If I do not replace that salt I get physically ill and cannot function properly. As a result Bloobberg can take his campaign and stick it where the sun don’t shine as far as I am concerned.

The next thing you know he will be trying to ban salt shakers at all eating places along with foods such as sauerkraut and certain pickles that cannot be made without large amounts of salt.

        • Angel Wannabe

Independent thinker, I’ll tell ya what I’d fix they’re azz’z, if they’d persist on re,oving all salt, I’d carry a salt shaker, my purse has got everything but the kitchen sink in it, and sonetimes ya even hear the water runnin!!!___lol

          • Marlene

I love your reply, especially where you can even hear the water running in your purse. Good wit!

          • JeffH

AWb…Now that was funny, in a serious sort of way…LMAO!

          • vicki

Lets remove all salt from those who want to control our eating habits and see how long (in seconds) they survive. Salt is a rather important part of the human body.

          • independant thinker

            Loved it Angel.

            Alright Folks,

        • Angel Wannabe

          Marlene & jeffH__lol!

      • Raggs

        Well .45

Free food sounds pretty good, but I’m not sure it’s free.

I guess you were making a point that if the government feeds you that they can chose what you eat?

        Bad idea….

        • Granny Mae

          I agree,

I don’t trust the government with anything ! Especially anything that pertains to me !

        • Christin

Nothings FREE, someone has to pay for it… even if it isn’t you.

Jesus gift of salvation was paid for by Him by dieing on the cross for OUR sins.

      • http://barbalin@comcast.net barbara

That’s being done as we speak. Check Bollinger’s web site, and find out about the bill 510 which will totally control the food market, and make criminals out of anyone who saves or grows their own seeds. and the Gov seeds, being genetically modified, wil not reproduce. Like hybreds will not reproduce. I wonder if the sunflower seeds we feed the birds are genetically modified. I didn’t see any come up this year, and we usually have a few “volunteer plants take root. Also, I planted a vunch of pumpkin seeds, and got one teensy tiny pumpkin that didn’t resemble the parent at all. Foods grown with GM seeds are not life renewing an any sense of the word. But they will help make us placid and ill.

    • JC

Excactly right Dave. Much the same way ranchers and farmers decide what their livestock will eat. Goes to show…they see us as inventory, not citizens.

      • eddie47d

Natural grass is healthier for cattle yet some ranchers still feed them corn. It’s also healthier for consumers but most consumers aren’t aware of the differences. So whose job it it to inform the public? I receive about 20 magazines a month and there is new information each time. No matter how informed an individual is there are new dangers and concerns in food products. The same can be said about cleaning products, pharmecuticals, fertilizers, etc. Heck,we won’t need any embalming fluids when we die.

        • independant thinker

Congratulations eddie, you actualy put up a post that makes sense.

  • JeffH

This chump Michael Bloomberg is the perfect example that Republicans can be true progressives and liberals and a threat to your freedoms as much as the Democrats.
He’s another of the fat cat progressives who thinks that he can “dictate” over the masses. This is the same “crack headed” Bloomberg fool that started and funds the Mayors Against Illegal Guns Coalition, another of the progressive anti-freedom groups.

I love my country but I sure as heck despise my government…

    • Raggs

      Hey Jeff..

I think ( PINK ) Bloomers is an independant.. But your correct…
I doesn’t matter what color undies they wear , they are still ALL full of SHIT!

      • Granny Mae

Bloomburg,is a sign of brains gon amuck ! He has been smoking too much wacky weed !

    • Karolyn

I agree that this is a waste of money. However, Bloomberg has done a lot for NYC since he’s been in office. I’m really surprised, with his business background, that he’s spending this money so unwisely.

      • 45caliber

        Karolyn:

He has? I don’t live up there. What has he done? The only thing I’ve heard about him is his stupid and illegal efforts to deprive me of my right to own a gun.

I have to think back a bit. I haven’t lived in NJ for over 5 years; but I do recall the the crime rate came down and his business experience did improve the city’s budget problems. The city has also been cleaned up a lot. I know there are other things, but that’s all I can remember. NYC’s crime rate is pretty low for a city of its size. When I moved to SC, I couldn’t believe how much crime there is in a small city like Charlotte. NYC is Mayberry compared to Charlotte.

          • 45caliber

Charlotte is a small town? My, you must be a big city girl. That explains some of your reasoning. To me Charlotte is a BIG city. I have only lived in one town that had more than 3500 people and it only had 140,000 at the time.

K, I’m sure that Hitler did some good things too but he was still a very bad man. Bloomberg is a power hungry bad man also. I’m not saying Bloomberg is another Hitler either. Bloomberg is out for Bloomberg, not NY and not the people of NY city. He’s got his agenda and is willing to spend some of his own fortune to achieve it.

        • TIME

          Jrff,
Bloomberg is a total pant load, you all know the old adage, “do as I say, not as I do.”

Ok now you can grasp whats he is really like. If he told me the sky was blue I would have to look to be 100% for sure. I can’t tell you how many people he has outright lied to their faces and then screwed them over in the backside.

Keep in mind this is the same guy who eats “DEEP FRIED TWINKIES.”

When in Manhattan look up the place, I can’t recall the name of it but they deep fry anything you want, and Twinkies are their clam to fame, hey – you may even get to see him stuffing his little face.

          • Raggs

Yeah speaking of getting “stuffed”, boy NY should be plump by now.. Ready for the picking?… I’m sure it is rip / rotten to the core…

            JEFH

I agree with you. He does have his own agenda ! Most politicians do ! I should say all politicians do ! No matter what party they belong to !

      • Robert

        Karolyn,
The problem is not Bloomberg’s busness experience, he wouldn’t spend his money for this crap idea, but!!! It’s NOT his money that’s being spent unwisely, it’s the TAXPAYERS again!!!

    • http://kjnf.net jimmimac

Here here!!! Amen to that, problem is that in California the idiots elected the same jerk who will destroy California like all the other socially deranged socialists, Jerry the fairy Obama! and Barbara the bitch boxer!

  • http://foundersrevolution.blogspot.com/ Patriot1776

This is a symptom of the problem. We have put too much faith in government for solutions to our daily problems in life. I can makemy own decisions based off of my own experiences thank you very much.

The idiot Bloombungle didnt realize every table in every eatery has salt-n-pepper shakers or those neat little paper packets of the stuff.

One would think that $500,000 would be better spent to lower the national deficit.__My Dear officials in Washington, Thank You for your concern over my health!__When you balance the budget, repeal Health Care, stop taxing and regulating me to death, to the point that I have to keep lowering my standard of living just to pay for my modest existence, only then can we talk about my salt intake and lifestyle choices. Otherwise__Mind your own damn business Washington!_-Your over stepping your authority_ AGAIN!!!

    • Fred

Bloomberg is NYC NOT Washington. Stop this kind of talk lest the clowns in Washington actually think they should be doing this.

      • 45caliber

California has insisted for years that whatever California does the rest of the country needs to follow. Perhaps Bloomberg is jealous and wants them to mimic NYC instead.

      • Robert

Bloomberg is ACTING like that “Blooming Idiot” that is in washington trying to regulate everything about our daily lives.

Raggs – In the life expectancy chart for the UN, the US ranks 20th, behind countries like Mexico and the Phillipines. On the CIA World Factbook it is 42nd. Karolyn, The US is the only country that includes traffic deaths, drownings, muders, and other non medical causes of death in their ststistics the other countries only include death from natural causes. As a result the US will automaticly look worse when in fact medicaly we have one of the highest longevity rates.

        • 45caliber

Believe it! We also have the very best medical care in the world if you are comparing that. The thing the libs like to quote have several things they consider about medical care, and medical care is only one of them. The rest are all political things.

        • LifeonMars

Interesting, I did not know that. I was looking at the list for longivity a few months ago and saw we were down the list. We all are going to die. I tried to keep my cows thinner to make them live longer. They did the opposite. So much for the low food intake idea to a longer life. Does not work for everything.

          • independant thinker

“We all are going to die.”

Shel Silverstein wrote a song about it. It basicly says you can quit smoking, drinking, eating fat, etc. but you STILL GONNA DIE. There are at least two recordings of the song I know of.

      • eddie47d

Raggs; Get a life, Once again for all the paranoids. Nobody is stopping you from smoking. Nobody is confiscating you’re guns and nobody is going to stop you from eating salted soup. I’ve never seen such a brainwashed bunch of loonies. Smoke your brains out,eat all the bacon you want; I bet it will still be in the store for you to buy.No wonder there isn’t anybody who gives a crap in America with all this psychobabble running around. If smoking is dangerous then by all means I hope they tell the truth about that. It took years but Big Tobacco finally admitted their scam.According to Crystal no one should be informed and businesses should be allowed to sell their dangerous products without divulging their down side. Buyer beware and to hell with the consumer. What a motto to be hanging on to. Maybe nobody should be told that heroin is dangerous or lead paint. High sodium leads to hypertension and obesity and other problems and you know darn well the Soup companies aren’t going to put that in their ads. Maybe its no big deal that China sells us toys with lead in them. Don’t let government get involved ,wait until a few people die then” be brave” and ask why the government didn’t do something about it. Ever think why there are so many lawyers in the USA? We encourage or ignore problems then people get hurt or die. What a bonanza for lawsuits. Why not help stop a problem sooner than later before Campbells and Progresso takes a licking with lawsuits!

        • Raggs

Eddie47 must be new to this planet. People are stopped from smoking ALL THE TIME here in California. People in Washington DC, Chicago and even New York have their guns confiscated and have been for 30+ years. In SPITE of the US Supreme Court telling Washington DC to knock it off. Oh and try walking down the street in Calif with a gun at your side and see how long before it is confiscated. You might be lucky and not be arrested at the same time.

I didn’t bother mentioning other places cause they have not been in the news lately.

What else can anyone take out of your continued obsession of making comments and innuendos of men in womens garb and men taking showers other than you either have a secret fetish or you might be gay? It is the nature of government to grow larger until the country completely collapses. The Democrats are the fastest growers of Government, but the Republicans aren’t that far behind. And so many of you keep looking to the Republicans for the solution. It isn’t going to happen. Every time we hit a little speed bump in the quest for smaller government, the Republicans will cave to the whiners. They have demonstrated that in the past 30 years and my guess is that they will keep on demonstrating it. There is only one political party that is narrowly focused on Individual Liberty, Personal Responsibility, Free Markets, and Limited Government. That is the Libertarian Party:
    http://libertarianparty.com/platform

Pay attention to the next few years. See for yourself if the Republicans have what it takes to Limit the size of Government. Then when you find out they don’t, do the right thing, join the Libertarian Party. Help us grow. Right now very few people understand the simple beauty and high principles of our solutions. Be one of the people who does. Get us back to the kind of country our Founders envisioned.

Bringing in the sheep blind eddiot…you are right about my bringing Soros into most everything…only because the link up is always there and he is a master puppeteer, you are a prime example of said puppeteers string pulling. Of course you could never do some reserch on Soros on your own and see that he is doing severe damage to both you and I as well as the rest of Americans. That would be too easy and you wouldn’t like the reults.

          • DaveH

Jan Brewer is a RINO. Sure she supports the new laws against illegal immigration (I do too), but why not? Why wouldn’t a RINO support more Government?

          • Angel Wannabe

DaveH, Maybe so dave shes a rino, but the only way they’re gonna stop the violence there is to seal that border. But to do that they need national guard that are ALLOWED to do something, rather than just stand around and be a presence.

        • JeffH

I’m on board with you Dave…the biggest problem is putting enough representatives together with the same values before we lose the nation. We all need to keep moving forward and not throw in the towell.
Hey, by any chance have you caught any of Beck’s shows on Tuesday and Wednesday? Beck’s really standing up to the pressures and efforts of Soros and his controlled attempts to rid the airways of Beck. Now, it’s getting real interesting to watch Beck and it would behove every American citizen to watch and learn about the realities and intententions of Soros.

      • Raggs

        Angel..

I have been thinking of that as well…

One thing we need to do is to rid ourselves of a “federal” currency.. / reserve note.. I beleive the people can use a currency that is not involved with the fed… A barter system ? well maybe… Afterall it was the corruption of the so-called “elite” who came up with a monetary system to use for them to always stay in control…
A federal reserve note is a promise to pay a debt… Well we all can see what that is worth… It is simply a promise from the liars to the banks and vice-versa..
So why do we abid by their rules?..

        • Angel Wannabe

Hey Raggs I’ve bartered for things, I’ve painted a kitchen for a friend in exchange for a half a cord of wood_-A friend of ours set a blog up for me, in exchange for a set of oak chairs I bought at auction 20 years ago!!__Bartering is still alive and well!__and better than buying something on the net, because you can see what your getting first.

            Good point!!!

I think that sence we are going to see hyperinflation within the upcoming year we can expect a dollar to be worthless…
Our work we get “paid” for will not have the substance to even support our basic needs… The government got us into this mess with their promise of a faulty currency due to their own greed.
I would love to see all of the so-called “elite” beg me for some food!

If we destroy the means of corruption than we destroy the beast…
As of now our government is doing their best to come up with a “global currency”… This will only further inslave the citizens of this world as a whole.

I say to hell with them… let’s cut the throat of the beast!

            A Barter Blog!

Certainly not a bad idea… The only way to destroy the beast will be to cut off it’s head… in a manner of speaking… If we defund the people in office we will leave them with no choice.. Afterall obama does not care what the citizens of the US think, so we have nothing to lose…

what’s to stop them from taxing the Value of the exchange?? I agree with the idea whole hog, just playing a little devils advocate!!

          • vicki

Before you get too excited about barter consider that we barter ALL the time. Money whether it be paper or coin is nothing more than a method to improve the efficiency of barter.

You want your house painted. You happen to be good at sewing. You can easily barter an agreement between you and a painter who needs a new set of clothes. But what if all the painters already have all their sewing needs handled. Your house remains un-painted.

Enter “money” You barter an agreement to pay the painter with objects (money) that the painter takes to get the new software he needs to help mix paint. The software publisher takes the money from the barter of the software and comes to you and asks for you to create a spiffy suit.

Thus the efficiency of barter is greatly increased.

By all means try for a barter blog (we already have craigslist and freecycle and there are probably others) but do not condemn “money” because some people have interesting ways of getting more of it.
Fight instead for “Honest money” http://www.downsizedc.org/etp/campaigns/85

Introduce competition in what is used for “money”.

There is supposed to be some bartering groups around. I suspect they are all local or regional but there might be a national one as well. I know I have seen articles on bartering in Mother Earth News. If I can find the articles I will post a link.

            Joe H.,
A little devil’s advocate myself… what if they, BHO and the gubberment, won’t allow us access to the internet anymore?

          • vicki

Before there was the internet there was uunet. All the software and equipment is still in place. Most every linux and unix derivative system has it.

If they take out the phones we will use ham radio. If they take out the radio we will use smoke signals, drums, sticks and even simple reflectors. We will not be silenced.

          • http://?? Joe H.

You don’t need the internet to do this. Think about all the “ads” you see posted on the board at your local Lowes or home depot. Or even the grocery store. all this will be done local by you both. The internet would be needed for national scale type barter but how much of that are we gonna do?? for instance, put up an add that says something like ” have two cords of wood. will trade for house painting.” or ” Have seven bushels of apples. will trade for your end of season plow of my garden.” now none of these numbers are right, but you get the idea!

  • BABUSHSKA

Tell Bloomberg to stop being the soup nazi and put his efforts toward
a real cause….like stopping the muslims from building their mosque near ground zero!

  • Barbara

The only way to stop this is to reinstate the original constitution and bill of rights. All of the amendments since then have to be re-examined. Those which did not pass the full ratification process must be removed. Those which passed the process at the time of presentation but were removed because the number of states increased later must be reinstated. This would probably create chaos for a while, but we can do it. We are a Christian nation and all things are possible with God.

    • 45caliber

The one I’d like to REALLY impliment again is the original 13th Amendment. It sort of … disappeared during the Civil War. Never recinded, just disappeared. It banned lawyers from holding any office in Congress or the Presidency due to them being automatically a member of the Judicial Branch due to their profession. It also disallowed any “honors” for elected officials which included things like limos that every citizen in the US didn’t get too. And if anyone did use them, then that person was kicked out of office and could never hold office again. I think that is the PERFECT law we need now.

      • HFlashman

        The 13th disappeared? Nope…here it is…still intact..

        13th Amendment
        Amendment XIII
        Section 1.
Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

        • 45caliber

I believe I stated that it disappeared during the Civil War. It did – at the same time this one appeared. Check any copy of the Constitution you can find between 1815 and 1859. Both copies exist – and both show the 13th Amendment I mentioned. They even found the original paperwork in Virginia that had a letter attached, saying basically, “Here it is, the last state approval needed.”

However…be that as it may …If i may ask “Dr” Berman…did you vote for Bush II? Did you protest as he ripped apart what he called “that quaint document” we call the US Constitution? Did you protst the implementation as state policy the use of torture? Was Bush’s admission he authorized waterboarding a crime against humanity as has been judged in Nuremburg, Jaanese war crime trials, numerous testimonies befrore Congress etc etc ?

      • 45caliber

        flashy:

I’ll answer your questions as far as I’m concerned:

“However…be that as it may …If i may ask “Dr” Berman…did you vote for Bush II? Did you protest as he ripped apart what he called “that quaint document” we call the US Constitution? Did you protst the implementation as state policy the use of torture? Was Bush’s admission he authorized waterboarding a crime against humanity as has been judged in Nuremburg, Jaanese war crime trials, numerous testimonies befrore Congress etc etc ?”

Did I vote for Bush? Yes, although I expected more of him.

Did he rip apart the Constitution? Not as much as Oblama has – and I don’t like it ripped at all.

Did I protest torture of terrorists? HE@L NO! If I can get info from one of them that will save American lives, I’ll do a lot more than waterboard. I never have tortured anyone and don’t like the idea – but I would do it in a heartbeat. Until you can come up with a faster way to get the info without torture, keep your mouth shut.

Was waterboarding a crime? HE@L NO! Since they routinely use it on military trainees it isn’t a torture. It doesn’t produce pain.

And New York continues to elect controlling nasties ad infinitum. Will they EVER learn? Doubt it! Nationally we made a start back towards freedom but it’s still a ways off. We have been desecrating the Constitution for years. It’s pretty well shredded and if we don’t get it back on track we are doomed. Unfortunately, it’s not likely because it requires getting the government to really cut spending. Americans don’t want to give up all the goodies. It’s gimme, gimme, gimme. Oh well.

    • 45caliber

They had term limits on mayors in NY but the city council, at Bloomberg’s command, recinded it since he was doing such a good job. Seems to me, they would want to give Washington a chance at him too.

If we are seriously worried about keeping people healthy and safe, we need first to bann all automobiles!! There are more people killed and injured in them than anything else! Next, we need to bann all sports that might injure a child starting with football! Yes, folks, football is bad for the players! (Bet you didn’t know that.) They need to go! There are people killed in boating accidents too – so we need to get rid of all those things as well. Heck, people trip just walking – we’d better keep them at home where it is safe – well, except for the bath tub, right? So no baths. But it won’t matter if they stay home and don’t go anywhere. Let’s see … What’s next that we can ban …?

I’m sick of paying to take care of everyone. If I want soup I eat it regardless of salt. But hey, with socialized medicine we will be seeing more and more of this type of behavior by the liberals. They have to get the cost of health care down so they take away rights one by one by one until the only thing we will be able to buy is what they approve.

BI-I-N-N-NGO-O, Give that lady an R.G.DUNN.
Meteorlady, wins this round of “Guess How They’re Trying To Screw With You NOW.”
The problems with salt are basically hormonal and Trace mineral interaction screw-ups. Deficiency of a trace mineral deactivates a hormone that properly balances salt in the blood (can’t remember which mineral – but it’s a common deficiency in people who don’t use good supplements). Too much salt causes the blood pressure to rise and there is no good way to keep it down except to get replete with that trace mineral, again. Course the MD’s, for the most part, don’t want to hear about it – or get caught trying to fix anything or control abnormalities without using drugs. That’s why every “break-through” actually turns out to be a “break-down”. The drug and chemical companies endow the medical education and research departments at the universities to control what the MD’s learn and are convinced is right. The drug and chemical companies get laws and policies written that favor them and their goals through the states’ legislatures, U. S. Congress, FDA, USDA and HHS. They promote ideas, propaganda and advertising for their products and goals. They glorify every latest “medical miracle” and demonize every natural health system that actually works. (I’m afraid I’m very pessimistic about ever seeing our “sickness system” ever be made to work for people. But, hey I never thought we’d be where we arfe today. Maybe the whole thing just needs to collapse – which it may do – and all the healthy people who live through it will remember and build something for humans.)
Anyway, to the greatest extent possible learn how to keep yourself healthy. Take responsibility, take control and don’t be afraid to be laughed at. You’ll be the one laying the flowers on the graves of your friends who laughed at you for trusting good nutrition and the God who “wishes above all things that you prosper and be in health”. I’ll guarantee you if you aren’t healthy you won’t be prosperous.

A note to goverment. I will ask you this once before I fire you in disgrace. Pleases remove yourselves from my house.1 Please remove yourselves from my bedroom what I and my wife do is not your responsability. What any consenting adult does in his or her bedroom is up to them.Up untill the point where it violates his or hers personal rights to exist as a human being. Then you may step in and protect said person. Untill then bug out.2Please remove yourselves from My living room. What I allow my family to watch and see is none of your buisness. Up untill the point it infringes on the said persons right to exist as a human being.3 Please remove yourselves from my garage. If I or any other soverign human being decides to drive a gass gussling enviro unfriendly suv because we feel safer in it so be it. If we choose to drive an environmentally friendly small box of a car then its our choice not yours. Let thoes horribel free markets decide.4 Please remove yourselves from my wallet.I want to choose what my monies are spent on please. If I choose to support my local charieties or homless shelter that is my right not yours. If I choose to horde my wealth under my matress and only spend it as I want to in a selfish manner that is my right too. You have proven woefully inadquit at spending what we give you in a responsible manner so again bug out.5 Please remove yourselves from my body what I eat, see, hear, and read is again my choice as a soverigen human being. Up untill my actions infringe upon another human beings right to exist then feel free to punish the perpertrator. If I choose to eat a bad diet and punish my body too the point of death then that is my right as well. You have proven yourselves woefully inadquate in being able to decide what to partake of in your own lives please leave mine alone. Please stop trying to tell me how to think as well I am perfectally capeable of decideing the facts for myself if presented with all sides of an arguement. I do not need you to tell me what is right and wrong(a shot at the P.C crowd)I can choose that for myself. If in so doing I violate another human beings soverign right to exist then there are laws in place to punish that behaviour. Untill that point please bug out. Please let me decide what goes into my body if I choose to drink, eat or inhale things that are bad for me I understand I will suffer the conciqinces of said products on my body(mine not yours)6 Please remove yourselves from my religion again this is my choice not yours. If I as a soverigen human being decide that that tree over in the park next door is my god then that is my right to choose that for myself. Not your right to enforce that as a way to belive. If I choose to belive that Jesus was god incarnate upon this earth and tried to teach us how to live in respect to others around us that is my choice as well(my belief)This is not for you to enforce either. That my brothers and sisters on this earth decide to live in some form of sin(I wont step on that land mine here but if you want to discuss it with me feel free its still our right)I was taught to love the sinner not the sin and try to teach as best I can. Therefore I say to you please remove youselves. My few points here are made in the best way I know how in respect to others that may think diffrently from me. I will exchange ideas with you in civil discourse and try through logic and reason to change your opinion. But isnt that in the end for us as HUMANS to decide not our goverment. So lets try to turn their eyes and minds back to their responsibilities and respectfully ask them to bug out of our private lives. We have seen how they conduct themselves and sometimes it isnt pretty. Mike L.

My Father built RJ Reynolds back in the late 1950′s. It almost killed him. Come to find out they spray the pure tobacco with so many chemicals, that the men working on the assembly line were dropping like flies. My Father got so sick it almost killed him. And it was the chemicals. What is the EPA for? They do nothing to stop it. And as the years have gone on, they keep adding more and more chemicals. Where is the EPA?

Anyhow I always liked smoking. And it took me a very long time to find a brand of cigarettes that has Zero additives. Nothing sprayed onto the pure tobacco. It was like smoking air. I have no ill effects from additive free cigarettes. My lungs are clear. My house does not stink. And my voice has not changed, like most people who smoke regular cigarettes.

Well Obama took care of that. All the while he has his private smoking room in the White House. And he smokes the cigarettes that have all the 3000 dangerous additives in them. Also exposing his employees to his 2nd hand smoke!

He passed an Executive Order where I can no longer get my additive free pure tobacco. I paid taxes on those cigarettes. What a hypocrite that man is. He smokes the bad stuff. Heck he use to smoke crack, and marihuana and that was an admitted fact.

I do not understand why it is ok if I go buy a pack of cigarettes filled with poison, but illegal to smoke cigarettes that is pure and hurts no one. And does not fit into the 2nd hand smoke theory?

One day I most likely will quit smoking all together. But that should be my choice. Especially since I am hurting no one. And helping the heavy tax burden put onto this country by all the crooks in Washington D.C. And that includes Obama, and his pack of chemically loaded cigarettes!

Why do these agencies that are here to protect the American Citizen do nothing about the additives in almost everything, food, carpeting, fabric, the list goes on and on of all the chemicals they force on us. Including the fluoride they put into our drinking water! Which is now made in China. like everything else,

Now you have lost my tax dollars, cause I will not smoke those cigarettes with the chemicals.

Just like the pet food in all the pet food stores, used with pure poison fillers. That killed my two cats and dog, my daughter’s cat too. And nothing was done about that either. And that same filler in the pet food is in the human food. And the side effects are enormous, especially to the kidneys. Where is the EPA.

Why do I need a slew of shots to go to certain countries, while the government ships their food additives and fillers, and people here without any kind of health screaning?

What is the world is going on. Lies on top of lies. And the lies never stop. And I still want to know where the EPA is while all this is going on?

    • http://none Mike

They are busy regulating your salt intake and approving thoes said bought and paid for chemical pattents. If they want to poision you they can in so many ways its scary. Create a drug 10years later the side effects kill you and the band plays on. They prescribe medicens now just for the side effects of others. The newest one to be advertized for plaque sorieses (skin diseas) has to plainly state that it can cause cancer. And yet the sheep will run to the stores and get it because its mewww oh I mean new. And for anyone who is saying at this point wait isnt he mistaking the EPA for the FDA? No they are one in the same . Mike L.

    • eddie47d

You’re not paying attention to the whole picture Deborah. I do agree you should be able to smoke your cigaretts without chemicals. That makes sense. If you think things are bad now wait until the “new Republicans” take over and totally gut the EPA and FDA. Private companies don’t always care as it is ,so they will have a field day real soon. They will have us addicted even further with phony products that make us feel good.No watch dog no rules to follow. There won’t be a thing you will be able to do about it for the “new Republicans” will enact Tort Reform and take away your ability to claim damages. The FDA and EPA have alot of regulations but the “old Republicans” have gutted them so bad they don’t have enough people to do the job. Just today my wife came home from work (auto body shop)and said they had their first EPA inspection ever. They passed with flying colors but they are suppose to have inspections every year to two years. The EPA inspector said they don’t have the workforce and some businesses don’t get inspected once in 10 years. Now you would think the tobacco companies would have wised up with all the billion dollar law suits. Unfortunately that didn’t seem to faze them so buyer beware.

        • http://none Mike

Jeff, Eddie isnt so wrong in his thinking as you might be led to belive,Yes overregulation is bad but so is under.I have had to deal with the epa on a regular basis so this dosent come from someone who hasent. I once worked for a landscape company that was an environmental disaster. They dumped all of their unused weedkillers in the same pit they had dug for the lawn and tree waste on his property. The result of this was a huge disaster that wasent caught for about 10 years. By the time it was noticed it was too late and the fish in the creek near his property were dying and it had spread to the local lake. This happend because his yearly requierd inspection had never been carried out. The local epa officer was a single person who had to work out of his home. Fast forward 10 years I started a reclimation and recycling company(yea I am a junker)I choes to do this from my own home. I had contracted with the local heating and air dealers to haul away and dispose of their old units. I was reported for freon relese and had to defend myself before the local epa officers. After I had proven that I had not released freon in my buisness I was asked to dig a lined sand pit for any accidental light oil releases and satisfied the local epa by so doing. So lets not do away with all regulation but lets at least try to keep it fair and non repressive. Mike L.

I have recently seen adds for what are supposed to be cigerattes made with all Native American tobacco. They are supposed to be all natural. Since I quit smoking 25+ years ago I didn’t pay a lots of attention to where you can get them or where the adds were but you might check in Mother Earth News or The Herb Companion as both are likely places to see that type of add.

No prob, Bloomie. I prefer to make my own soup from scratch because I hate the taste of salt and because I know my own cooking is healthier than canned. I make 2 – 3 pots of soup a month. Although, I DO put a can of tomato soup into a pot of homemade Taco Soup. Now, that’s a comfort food! It’s the sour cream and guacamole that I top it with that’s unhealthy, but, oh what a flavor and once or twice a year, it won’t kill me. In fact, it mellows me out. Have you ever thought of home cooking to solve your health ills? Soup is cheap for the budget, filling and not such a big mess to clean up in the kitchen.

    • Raggs

Marlene… What kind of soup was that your eating?
Water soup… diluted with a bad case of used chemicals…

  • Raggs

I have to find it comical….

Well what is so funny?… obama is…

He using the ole ” yell and scream” tatic as with hitler to get a pointless non-factual comment across the spectrum… I have always heard that he that yells the loudest has no substance to his point… To put it plainly he is a liar… I don’t and will not watch him on any T.V. program, but the occasional blooper ( obama ) finds it’s way through the cracks… Even a cockroach finds a meal once in a while… The question is… how much food are we going to throw away to a bug?

Mike, if penicillin was invented today, it would never be approved by FDA. Because 1 in a 100,000, might have a reaction, the food police are just, another batch of government idoits. Resticting salt will have problems with people not getting enough idoine. We definitely know democrats aren’t worth their salt and are not salt of the earth.

Yea I41, These people must be met and stopped at every turn. They are now into just about every aspect of our lives at this point. I made a few points above there in my comment for them to get out of our privet lives that didnt seem to draw alot of comment I tried in that just to outline a few things for people to see. But it seems like there are too many people out there on both sides of the isle that are not contenent enough in their own lives to leave ours alone. Thus they have to think they have to legislate our lives for us. Mike L.

  • Raggs

Yeah Water soup ain’t it wonderfull?
A watered down government sounds much better….

  • DaveH

Here’s where we’re headed if we don’t stop those Big Government loving politicians soon:

    • Raggs

No really though I’m not surprised to find big government in a ponzi sceem like this.

  • Raggs

Hey Dave… Was the guy in the cartoon Al-gore?

I figure that is what he looks like after a few years of “global warming”… Well no maybe he tripped over his bald spot?.. Yeah you gotta watch those mirrors… Well maybe watching the mirror didn’t do him much good… Oh I got it, he just got off of the toilet and forgot where to wipe sence both ends look the same.

Socialist vampiers dont cast a reflection there Raggs.I bet he didnt even notice he was changeing before our very eyes lol. Mike L.

      • Raggs

        Indeed Mike…

The true reflection is always hidden, I’m impressed that you took my meaning… Good Job!

        • http://none Mike

Yea My eyes were opened to this mess a few years back when I finally took some intrest in what was really going on behind the scenes with people like thoes that are trying to take away suppliments in europe. Probly not so much a conspericy as it is blatenet greed. Goverment sponserd greed I should say. The money they stand to make off the forced studies into vitmins and herbal suppliments is unreal. And the enviornmentilist really arent much better. My definition Socialist Vampire: One who feeds off the resources of others to the detriment of the individual. Mike L.

  • Soup Nazi

    One medium muligatawny,
    One large crab bisque.

  • FatBoy

When I was in jail, I was served a soup that all there swore was made from dish washing water. What more can I say.

    • Deborah/Michigan

If you can find a good health store, they have all natural salt. That is not bad for you in small quantities. I use it after the meal is cooked just to add a little flavor. Because when used in the actual making of meals, you have to use too much of it.
My father after building RJ Reynolds. It ruined his heart. So we had to find alternativrs to salt. And the pure salt added after you have already cook the meal has not hurt him one bit. And he suffers now from congestive heart failure. So you might know how much salt is a big no no.

  • FatBoy

    Oh, it was salt free.

  • Deborah/Michigan

No what I said was is small amounts, I mean small amounts, you know like a dash, very light dash. It has hurt nothing.
It is the MSG you really got to worry about. That stuff will really hurt you. Why do you think is goes under so many different names, so you don’t know what it is in. But is has the same effect as salt, actually 10x worse than salt.
Most all processed foods are loaded with MSG. And they never list it as MSG the is a website called “Mercola” that will give you all the names they can call it. And the FDA/EPA knows this. So this salt ballly-ho, is the biggest bunk.
