In New York State if you report gun owners to officials and they are found to be in possession of illegal firearms after an investigation, you could score $500.

That’s because for more than a year the State has been running a “well-kept secret” tip line that offers rewards to callers depending on what comes from the gun-related information they provide. Officials in the State are discussing doubling down on efforts to use the tip line to identify gun owners.

“In our most recent meeting on Monday afternoon we talked about reviving this tip line and informing our members about it by sending out a message and scheduling a conference call to discuss it,” John Grebert, executive director of the New York State Association of Chiefs of Police, wrote in a statement. “The Association partners with the State on a regular basis to provide local law enforcement with additional resources to help them in their efforts to reduce gun-related and violent crimes in their jurisdictions.”

The tip line was announced last year as part of a broader New York gun control push in a statement by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

“For too long, urban communities across New York have been devastated by gun violence, destroying families and neighborhoods,” Cuomo said at the time. “Although the crime rate in New York State has dropped 60 percent, making it the safest large state in the country, we must do all we can to stop the violence and make sure our residents are protected and our streets are safe. These initiatives will give communities the tools they need to effectively fight gun violence and reduce crime, making the state a safer and better place to live for all.”

Privacy and gun rights advocates in the State have called for officials to do away with the tip line, which they say is a way to coax New Yorkers into spying on one another. Opponents argue that the Orwellian gun control measure gives law enforcement officials too much power to harass legal gun owners based solely on hearsay.

Gun owners and others that dont like the NAZI tactics being used in New York could have allot of fun with this, first thing to do is report BloomBugs body guards.

Then the police, oh and the BIGGEST ONE:

REPORT ALL Gang Members, yes gang members, see if old Bloombutts Nazi police force will go get those guns…my bet is they wont, they want honest citizens guns not the criminals,,,the fastest way to show Americans and the world how full of it Doomberger is.

The reason the police can’t go after the guns of gang members is the never ending ongoing investigations that drag on for decades . The Crips have been under investigation since 1967 and they can’t go forward with law enforcement until the investigation is over .

      • FreedomFighter

Have faith my boy, theywill never cross reference…report the gangbangers one at a time…see what happens.

FF, God bless you fellow patriot.

The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association says Andrew Cuomo’s gun law violates Second Amendment protections and has filed a federal lawsuit trying to get the whole thing tossed out.

The NYSRPA, a pro-gun not-for-profit, filed the suit in U.S. District Court on Thursday, arguing that the SAFE Act violates the Second Amendment, as well as laws protecting interstate commerce. “This is an action to vindicate the right of the people of the State of New York to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, which prohibits infringement of the right of law-abiding citizens to keep commonly-possessed firearms in the home for defense of self and family and for other lawful purposes,” the suit says.

“The Supreme Court affirmed an individual right to keep and bear arms in the landmark 2008 case of Heller v. District of Columbia and incorporated that decision to the states in the 2010 case of McDonald v. Chicago,” said NYSRPA President Thomas King in a press release. “These decisions apply to all New Yorkers. Attempts to deny our citizens the best and most effective tools available for personal protection cannot be tolerated.”

That’s the only way to go. When fascist dictators like Cuomo (just like his dad) decide that they will tell us what rights we have and that the Constitution means whatever THEY tell us it means, we must fight back in every way we can. This needs to be done on a nationwide basis, in every state. As has been pointed out often of late, a significant argument can be made that EVERY gun control law is unconstitutional since the Second Amendment makes no provision for restrictions of any kind.

Even the infamous miller decision from 1938 made it clear that MILITARY weapons, REAL machine guns, not semi auto replicas, were specifically protected under the 2nd amendment. http://jpfo.org/filegen-a-m/miller.htm

A snitch is a low as a child molester.

      …or a Holocaust denier.

      • Jimmy the Greek

So Vigilant you are saying you believe the zionist fairy tail ?

      • Vigilant

No, Jimmy, I’m saying I recognize the MILLIONS of documents and photos taken by the Nazis themselves to meticulously record their unconscionable crimes. I’m saying I believe the testimony of thousands of survivors and Nazi perpetrators. I’m saying the US military officers and enlisted personnel who reported what they saw were not lying. I’m saying I’ve been to Dachau and seen the ovens and shower.

And I’m saying that anyone who believes otherwise should have their head examined.

Do you mean the loyal American citizens who are still waiting to see something other than that phony, Photoshopped, forged BC posted on the Internet, or the fraud’s real Social Security card instead of the one he stole from someone who died in Connecticut several decades ago, or all those school transcripts and diplomas that we are told exist but still haven’t been shown, or the draft card we were told really does exist but still haven’t been shown, and… Shall I go on?

      • Jimmy the Greek

Doc there are people in his homeland in east Africa that seen him roll out from between his mom’s legs , and said so

      • Jimmy the Greek

I am 61 and still have my draft card and classification card , so were is obumbos ?

      • chocopot

        Jimmy -

I am 59 and still have mine as well. I also still have my original Social Security card, issued when I was 12. Of course, it is really hard to show people what doesn’t exist, isn’t it?

Way to go, Sam. One would have expected someone such as yourself to keep the secret as “well kept” as possible, rather than publicizing it.

    • Vicki

Just how useful is a tip line that is a secret? More opportunity for government to waste money?

  • FreedomFighter

Oh and dont forget the TSA checkpoints…they are not police, dont think they are exempt from Dimwitburgs law.

Are New Yorkers that stupid? Wouldn’t you rather mess with someone unarmed?
Those black gangs aren’t going to see confiscation of their guns as a part of the “common good.”

Andrew Cuomo, Kerry Kennedy Cuomo, Chris Cuomo, Mario Cuomo, David Dinkins, Charles Rangel, Robert Duffy, David Paterson, 20 members each of the Copians, Ebony Dukes, Imperial Huns, Pals of Satan, Slicksters, Chancellors, Saints, Falcons, Bishops (there are many more gangs), employees of TSA, & Michael Bloomberg: ALL have illegal weapons. At $500 per snitch, please send the 6 figure proceeds to: the Institute for Executive Retirement, PO Box 123, San Jose, Costa Rica.

Welcome to the new Hitler’s Germany.

    • alpha-lemming

Do you suppose the tip line is… 1-800-BRN-SHRT ?????

  • dan

Yeah, that’ll work until they find out what happens to snitches….and collabortors

    • Alex

So, dan—you witness a violent crime and then, what—just disappear? Coward….
You sound like one of those gang-bangers rappin’ about the dangers of snitching!
      Total coward.

      • TIME

        Dear Alex,

Really, Dan is a coward in your mind’s view? So based on that thinking pattern, that makes you a person who thinks the NAZI’S were fun loving people.

But I dirgress, Love your thinking pattern ~ that to spy on your neighbors is quite normal behavior, hey ~ afterall it is all the rage in Marxist China & Russia, ~ and it was also very popular in Nazi Germany too.

Or perhaps better said you 100% support GWB’s idea that removing the 4th Amendment was a the way to go, hey do you also think that Killing Americans with Drones is totaly cool too?
Now don’t lie ~ you set the stage and the old worn out window dressing saddly will not work any longer.

But then we also have your rather obvious method of obfuscation to descend in to gang bangers rhetoric. Hey really ~ Nice try but no cigar. :-)

Got any other Scare Tactics in that bag’O – rhetoric’O? Whats that term you use all the time, Fright~winger? Good on ya.

        Peace and Love, Shalom

      • JeffH

Unhinged Alex is really on his game today…NOT!

What a joke you are. Unhinged Alex loves a snitch…therefore Unhinged Alex must be one.

      • http://brooklynloco380 Carlos Morales

It depends on the circumstance, Alex…You Cant go around all start calling people cowards, because If it was to happen to you and your life or your families life were at stake, then you would understand!
Anyway you go. Gang mentality or not, If you are known as a [expletive deleted] snitch, your a dead Man!
Now If ITS a choice between saving someones life, Okay!
But if your just going to rat someone out just because he or she Night have a gun… You better know where your place is Alex!

Anyway you go. Gang mentality or not, If you are known as a Fucking snitch, your a dead Man!
Now If ITS a choice between saving someones life, Okay!

        Alex says:
“So, dan—you witness a violent crime and then, what—just disappear?”

We are talking about snitching on honest law abiding citizens because they have a scary looking possession. This is not even close to your red-herring.

The interesting note is that the honest citizen will not murder the snitch. The criminal element, who cares not for any law, constitutional or otherwise, will.

Thus the pattern will quickly emerge that the snitches will avoid snitching on the people the government CLAIMS to want to find.

Dan is not the coward. The snitches will be.

  • JimH

As soon as I get 3 of my neighbors arrested, I’ll have enough for an AR-15 or almost enough for 2 AK-47′s. Cool.

  • Motoxr709

Cool…I like the fact that you are snitching on people who are doing something illegal. I did not read anything in this article where it said that anyone owning a gun under our law will be prosecuted. It said if anyone reports someone owning a gun illegally you will be compensated. I am all for owning a gun and having unlimited clips, but if you see someone doing something that would give the government more “ammo” to take away your rights, then it is your responsibility to make sure that the issue is taken care of. So as a proud gun supporter I am all for this, because if we get rid of the irresponsible, illegal gun carrying thugs then the rest of us will not have to worry about all this gun legislation.

    • Robert Anderson

First, they are not clips, they are magazines; can’t ANYONE get that correct. Next, if you actually believe it doesn’t really mean ‘report anyone with a gun so we can take it away from them’, you are living in fantasy land.

      • Vicki

Since possessing a gun can not be illegal (see Constitution, US, Supreme law of the land) there is no reason to set up a special line to report someone possessing a gun.

  • bxarmybrat

How about a similar program to turn in and deport illegal immigrants.
