National Tea Party Federation Arrives On The Political Scene

April 12, 2010 by

National Tea Party Federation arrives on the political scene A coalition of national and regional Tea Party groups has announced the formation of the National Tea Party Federation (NTPF). Its proclaimed goal is to send a unified message and media response on behalf of key leaders and its affiliates.

The NTPF will also act to promote the Tea Party movement’s objectives of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government and free markets, its founders have stated.

"The combination of the Tea Party leadership and a strong network of alliances brings together activists with the resources to get our message out while coordinating across many groups," said Mark A. Skoda of the Memphis Tea Party.

His counterpart from Richmond, Jamie Radtke, added that the new federation understands "the importance of standing together while enhancing the ability to frame the discussion and realize gains amongst this approach to collaboration."

Among the founding members of the National Tea Party Federation are the American Grassroots Coalition, the Tea Party Express and the organization called DC Works for US. Meanwhile, its broader alliance includes Americans for Tax Reform, FreedomWorks and the Institute of Liberty. ADNFCR-1961-ID-19711665-ADNFCR

Please think about not running a tea party candidate for office because that can split the votes (like Perot did to Bush) instead run on a platform of term limits for Congress -or limit the Supreme Court appointee to a 20 to 25 year term(instead of a life-time appointment). Get a platform that will unite all of the tea party people.

    • TPART

I agree – as a TP patriot – I will not support a the idea of another party. We have to flush out the current two and clean house. No sense creating a third problem by letting the socialists in again. We need to get the original Democratic Party back and replace the Republican one with real conservatives.

Term limits on everything is a MUST and I agree – that is a logical platform for us to work from – and let us work together to decide on what the limits are for each position. We must be inteligent in putting all this forward.

I am glad the Federation has formed – let’s all get behind ourselves and support and help direct the Federation development.

      • Layla Hansen

I am not so sure about The Federation. It may be a ploy. Ours is a grassroots movement within each community and must remain that way. That is the only way to guarantee it remains bipartisan.

      • marypat

Agree. Also I need to interview research each candidate and determine what they truely stand for before they get my vote.

      • Rowdy

I agree that right now we do not have time to form a new party and be sure that it represents the people and the Constitution. But I disagree with the term limits. There is nothing wrong with a politician serving his country his whole life if he does so to benefit the country not themselves. Setting term limits could be throwing out the very few good politicians we should keep along with those that should go. The real issue is determining who should go and who should stay. Our real problem right now is that the number of people that live by government handout and therefore vote to keep the givers in office has grown to the point that we are near to losing control of the vote. If they pass the amnesty for the (I say nearly 20 million illegals here now along with the past amnesty legislation group) we may be out of the game. First and most important is to stop the amnesty bill. Then we need to organize and concentrate our votes in NOV to oust the bad and vote in the good. This brings up the biggest problem of all. How to tell The good from the BAD. Politicians lie. That is a given. We can not trust and elect by what they say or promise. We must question them if they have no voting record and study their voting record if they have one.

In the end if we can hold on long enough I have been professing it for several years. We need to force a bill through no matter how long or how much effort it takes that would give the power to the people to form an oversight panel of the citizens that would be made up of 3 persons from each state. These persons would be selected for their character and non partisanship, and be subjected to the very test they develop once it is finished from one of the other groups. The panel would be divided into three separate segments of 50 persons in each segment. each segment would assemble a questionnaire that would test a persons absolute commitment and loyalty to the United States of America and to the Constitution and to their dedication to upholding it’s true values. Then these panels would have the authority to proceed to test each political participant (living past, present, and potential)(President, senator, representative, judge, lobbyist, adviser, etc down through the levels of government to the local county commissioners) This series of three tests would be administered by a series of three separate professional lie detector systems certified and verified by the panels. Any person that could not pass 2 out of the 3 tests is automatically removed from office and subjected to an intensive investigation of their operations during their time in public office. After the investigation is completed if they were found at fault, they would be sentenced to appropriate punishment. The most severe of which if not execution should be confiscation of all holdings that had been accumulated during their time in public office. Loss of all benefits such as retirement plans and health insurance plans, and possibly deportation from the country, and tagged (fingerprints, iris scan, facial recognition scan and a microchip inserted), And being bared from holding any public office again ever. Once this process had been carried down through the system it would then become standard procedure for anyone running for public office in the future. And just like random drug testing could randomly be administered to any politician at any time to ensure that they continually remain loyal to their office’s requirements. I think that we would very shortly see a huge reduction in tax burden and a big change in the operation of our government.

      • Meteorlady

So just keep doing the same thing over and over (voting Repub or Dem) and expect different results? Gads – I’m sick of career politicians, I want a new bunch in office.

    • Marcia Barlow

No, the US needs a 3rd party now. For too long we have heard the cry “You will do nothing more than split the vote,” which ends up as “You will really not be represented at all.” Remember it was both Republican and Democrat that depleted your retirement fund in favor of bailing out banks. Remember we have people in office who do not take the time to read the bills they are signing. Having only two parties means “Which way shall we have the one way street flow this year?” No, in my near 70 years, I’m tired of it all. I’m tired of not being represented, I’m tired of the business as usual, I’m tired of my funds going to wars I believe are frivolous, I’m tired of politicians not upholding immigration laws then wanting to tax me for what they did wrong, I’m tired of having to support banks who, once again are spending recklessly, and I’m really tired of a president who will go to the ends of the earth in an attempt to collect what is left of 50 years of savings. I’m done with both parties.

      • Dora

Marcia, a third party has ALWAYS split the two parties and if we vote for a third party the Democrats will WIN again!

        • CalinCA

I agree with you, Dora. A third party would be a disaster. I support the Tea Party as long as they DO NOT become a third party. If they do, I’m out of here.

        • BigBadJohn

Not true – Ralph Nader cost Gore the election……

          • Ellen

            THANK-HEAVENS!

        • Meteorlady

No vote is wasted if it is cast by an informed citizen. That’s what the new media and the career politicians advocate because it’s good propaganda and people hear it so often they believe it. If every person that was sick and tired of the way this country is going voted for a third party candidate – we would win hands down. There are Libertarian and Constitutional party candidates serving in political office. How do you think they got elected? The only thing wrong with the current system is that the new media do not want you to know anything about any third party candidate because they are part of the political problems in this country.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Meteorlady,
Without national media attention, a third party candidate for president will never have a chance! I don’t like it, but that’s the way it is!!! Heck, look at the republican primary, Hunter Duncan ran and most people didn’t even know who he was because the MSM gave him no coverage at all! Glenn had him on his show, but that was as close to main stream coverage at the national level he came!!!

      • Layla Hansen

The Democrats are urging the TEA Parties to form a third party because in districts such a Harry Reid’s (where he is currently losing), a split vote will save him.

There has never been a case of a third party NOT causing a Democrat win, so I have to ask where you alliance lays, Marcia.

The TEA Parties are bipartisan. We should be working within our own parties for a fiscally conservative Constitutional government.

We are NOT a third party; we are a MOVEMENT.

        • Eric K

          Layla,
I can not agree more. We are a movement with a purpose. To promote adherence to The Constitution of The United States. We need to remain strongly independent with the common focus on our Constitution.
We need to support conservatives in primaries of both parties. To get our country back in the right direction we need to support conservative Democrats running against conservative Republican in general elections.
We can save this nation if we remain strong and focused on constitutional values.

    • Tom

I am sorry Adelene, I just don’t agree with you.

Voting Tea Party is not wasting your vote.

Not voting your consciences is wasting your vote.

I understand what you are saying about the Ross Perot factor, but time and time again both parties have shown us that they will not represent us.

When Democrats disappoint us, we vote Republican, then when Republicans disappoint us, we vote Democrat again. Either way big government and corporate interests win, and the American voter is screwed yet again.

The 2 parties take turns screwing the American voter.

      When will we finally learn?

When will we finally break the cycle and their greedy grip on power?

When will we finally realize that this is NOT a battle of ideology, NOT a Liberal/Socialist VS Conservative battle.

This is a battle over corruption. Corruption is so commonplace in American politics that they don’t even bother to hide their bribery and their payoffs.
They do it right out in the open in the form of campaign contributions by special interests, removal of regulations that hamper friends in industry, and nice jobs in the very companies that they represent OVER the nation after leaving office.

CT’s Chris Dodd is not seeking reelection. Watch where Dodd goes…..

      This corruption undermines the Nation.

And some of you want to go to these people and “ask” them to once and for all, finally start representing us? LOL…LOL!!! Forget it.

They had their chance. Now its time to take it away from them. It doesn’t matter if Tea Party candidates lose, we will try harder next time. But rest assured, if Democrats or Republicans win, we ALL lose. They will say and do anything come election time. Republicans don’t adhere to their low tax, limited government platform once elected, so why wast your vote on them. A vote for either major party is a vote for the status quo. It sends a message that their behavior will be tolerated.

Don’t waste your vote on what we all know are 2 corrupt parties…..Unless you actually like they way things have been running during the last 2 administrations.

      • Layla Hansen

Tom, you are no TEA Partier. Get off the site.

      • Robert

What needs to happen is look at each person running for office, if they are lawyers then don’t vote for them. Look for someone from the real world and vote them in.

    • Dawn

Perot did not split the votes. He actually woke many americans up to the corruption in our government and it was his movement that got the people active. Bush lost all on his own. The promise “Read my lips, no new taxes” ring a bell? If no how about the globalism he was always talking about? Lost a lot of jobs there. This is not a Demorat or Republirat anything. Both parties have lied, stole, and no represent the people (us). I don’t believe we should run a candidate either. I think sticking to the issues and finding candidates and voting for them that will say and do as they say they will do and vote everyone else out. Recall them immediately if they wind up being the same idiots we have now.

      • Layla Hansen

And he cost us the election. Use the TEA Parties to wake people up, share information. But WORK WITHIN YOUR OWN PARTIES FOR FISCALLY CONSERVATIVE CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT.

    • Layla Hansen

I have a better idea…..work within our own parties and TAKE THEM OVER.

      • Eric K

        RIGHT ON! Layla,

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Layla,
Good idea. Push to get rid of Steele and get a person in as head of the Repubs that will concentrate on the constitution and will push to run people that will follow it!! We need to start at our local levels and inform them that there will be no more money for them till they push for Steeles removal and they get a strong conservative in charge!!! I called the state level and told them exactly that!! They said that they would forward my comments to the proper person. I know that will probably not happen, but if they get enough calls like that, they will have to start listening or loose all semblence of support from the people!!!

    • Jane

The “Tea Party” movement came out of ordinary citicizens wanting to get back to the Constitution, not have these emormous taxes (remember the Boston Tea Party?) and to bring our country back to the basic values we were founded on. We did not come together to start a 3rd party but to back Conservative polititians. As we have seen through the years, a 3rd party will only hurt the Conservatives and let the Liberals have a bigger influence.
Please do not form a 3rd party! We have some good people that are in Congress or will come from Conservative principals. Jim DeMintt has tirelessly stood for us as well as some of the others.(Joe Wilson, etc.) We need unity backing a Conservative politician! I don’t know about Sarah Palin because she has taken such heat from everywhere, even from her own party.
Do not start a 3rd party!

    • Win

I love the fact that the radical right wing is exploding itself into unmanageable fragments. Now that the TRUE majority (middle-of-the-road conservative Democrats) have installed intelligent leaders into the white house, we don’t have to be scared anymore……

I wanted to see just how many republican/conservative organizations are involved in this supposedly grassroots Tea Party. I took me two hours and I had to stop as it is very complicated. Here goes nothing:
Freedom Watch headed by Dick Armey, who is for amnsety for illegals. He favors open immigration and the elimination of barriers to movement of goods and people across national boundaries. He worked for the ACLU, GM, Wind Farmers, who want cap and trade passed after he left congress. Koch Industies started this org.that merged with Citizens for Sound Policy. Dick was for privatization of SS, knowing that AIG would be the biggest benefactor. If that would have happened, SS would not be viable today after the recent stock market crash. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/34990_Page5.html
This man is for: illegals in unlimited numbers crossing our borders, Worked for the ACLU, and GM, and was also lobbyist for the Wind Farmers who want Cap& Trade. http://www.righwingwatch.org/content/freedom
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn?pagename=article&node=&contentId=A46598-2000Jan28 How you can consider this as grassroots is beyond me. Funded by Koch Industries.

    • eyeswideopen

Americans for Tax Reform, served as a conduit for funds that flowed from Jack Abramoff’s (the one who went to prison) clients to finance grassroots lobbying campaigns. It is headed by Grover Norquist http://nationalcorruptionindex.org/pages/profile.php?profile_id=21
who is not the cleanest sheet in the cupboard. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/24/AR2006062401080.html
definately not grassroots, has been organizing this type of groups for 30 years.
Americans for Prosperity, another Koch Industries founded org. Tim Phippips has been organizing for over 24 years.

      • http://?? Joe H.

As usual CAN’T DISPLAY WEB PAGE!!!!!

        • eyeswideopen

          JoeH, sorry, it’s late, I’m tired. http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/freedomworks

          • http://?? Joe H.

I’m suspicious of any site that the “about” page won’t come up on!!!

          • Jana

My main concern is that the only sites that have anything to say about the Tea Party groups are from the Left Wing Liberal sites.

Another point, the Repubs may try to hijack the TP however, it is the Tea Party and conservatism that is taking back the Republican Party. If they want to get on board fine, but they do not run it.

          • Tom

Yeah, but who are behind Right Wing Watch?

        • JeffH

Joe H and Jana, I looked at every link and no where are there any connections to the Tea Party. Someones fishing without any bait!
Someone is a screwball over this, reaching without any arms, grabbing with no fingers, thinking with no brain. Completely brain dead.
?????Go figure. The only connections to this grassroots organization are the people, conservatives, Republicans, Independents, Democrats and Libertarians that attend.

          • Jana

There are also Democrats in the Tea Party. The Democratic Party has gone off and left a lot of us behind. I used to be one of them. Now I vote Independent.
I have only gone to one Tea Party and that was when they first started. There were a lot of people there, and I left early. I agree though with what their objective is, and I do not want to see it ‘hijacked’ by anyone, nor crashed. They have a good thing going and too many people want to ruin it because they are afraid of it. I hear Republicans talking against it too, so to say it has been hijacked by Repubs. makes me question where it is coming from.

          • eyeswideopen

Jeff, are you just stupid or can’t you read, the thread above gives the organizations that are now under the tea party umbrella. No wonder this country is in trouble. Try to be open to facts as presented by the tea Partiers.

      • eyeswideopen

        http://news.yahoo.com/s/usnw/20100408/pl_usnw/NY83428

with all these Koch Ind. groups involved, the Tea Party has officially been hijacked by the Republican party. If you looked at the directors and CEO’s of the majority of organizations, they are prominent repubs. Most can’t even be considered conservatives, remember Dick Armey. It is really a shame as it is now just another group who is being manipulated by others. I along with everybody else wanted a group who truly represented middle class Americans, not aligned with the repubs or dems. It would have forced changes within the two parties. Sad thing is that they will be used to promote the agenda of the groups funneling money into it. Maybe it will survive, but it is not likely. A power struggle will errupt and it will become just like one of the many who are listed as it’s sponsors. None of the present CEO’s of the different groups will be able to work together. Well that is what I learned and I won’t be sending anymore money to them. It is now just another suedo political party. Let the bashing begin. Enjoy!!

        • Palin12

EyesWeldedShut….. I believe it was you that stated on a different thread that Sarah Palin was stopping cars with Obama bumper stickers on the way to Searchlight. One little problem with that far-fetched thesis….Sarah did not arrive by auto….she flew into Searchlight’s small airport from Arizona. The other problem….I rarely see any Obama/Biden stickers anywhere in So.Nevada. You liberal lunatics are really desperate with your lies!

          • Palin12

If it was not you, I apologize in advance. It could just as well have been Smelly or dumniso or Unamerican liberal or the corporate international socialist.

          • s c

You forgot to include Abnormy, Palin 12. Most of them have one thing in common. That is, over the years they have found ways to be comfortable with
being utterly out-of-touch with reality (it doesn’t do much for Oubummer, does it?). There are many textbook names for it. I call it political relativism, which is a form of chronic saul alinskyitis.

          • Jim H.

SC, Out of touch with reality? Reality is just an illusion caused by a KOOL-AID deficiency.

          • Palin12

Desperate people do desperate things! These ultraliberals are going to get a wakeup call in November! No Nancy, we won’t forget that you called the Tea Partiers “terrorists”. Biden’s gonna need even more plastic surgery to keep that smile on his face, and Harry Reid I know of some good assisted living centers for the elderly-challenged in Vegas, you’re fired!

          • eyeswideopen

Palin12, so, you can call the President a terrorist, but Nancy can’t call a tag party a group of terrorists? Does that mean you only believe in freedom of speech for you and yours? lol, Yup, that’s what you mean.

          • Palin12

Excuse me, just exactly did I call YOUR president a terrorist?

          • eyeswideopen

Palin, no you didn’t in this post, the group you hail to be the perfect all knowing group does. You just happen to belong to said group. But yes, in previous posts, you have called him a terrorist. Are you going to deny that? By the way, like it or not he is your President too. Legally elected and that is just the facts. Deal with it.

          • john

Well eyeswideopen, Who would you consider a threat to this country? Would it be someone who’s father was a devout communist or someone who was taught to hate this country in churches who preach hate and say things like goddamn america or someone who said that you have to purchase a product just to be an American. Or some one who takes over car companies, health care, student loans, banks. And don’t tell me it was all the banks fault, what about when the dems. like barney frank who said that there was nothing wrong with fannie mae and freddie government, when president Bush tried about 10 times to regulate them. Maybe Obamas cap and trade will help us out by comming in your house and inspecting it to see if you can sell it or not. And how about the big lie of global warming (oh sorry, now it’s climate change) And who said the constitution just gets in the governments way and hold us back. Who said, i would like to get rid of all the guns but there is’nt enough time? And who is’nt doing everything possible to get americans to work? Who critisizes the friends of this great country and can’t even call our enemies for who they are? Boy, i’m sure glad obama’s my president. well, at least untill 2012. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ALL OUR BRAVE SOLDIERS.

          • eyeswideopen

John, how about some links to all these quotes??? You need to provide proof of his statements. I know most conservatives like to make up things, but stand behind you statements and give links.

          • zack

eyes, why do you need links for, hell it’s on the news 24/7. Are you blind or deaf?? Or not smart enough to use a remote to your TV. HeHeHe

          • Palin12

Putting words in my mouth again you insane loser! Unlike liberals, I don’t march in lockstep formation with anyone. I believe in freedom. Please give me the date, time, and thread name where I called your messiah a terrorist. I may have called Obummer many things, but I don’t recall ever labeling him a terrorist and I don’t call him a president either, not until such time as he unlocks his educational record, which most likely will prove he was a citizen of Indonesia when he went to school there for 4 years and was indoctrinated by muslims. He only started going to a Christian church in Chicago when it became politically necessary as a “community organizer”. Remember “Rev” Jeremiah “God damn America” Wright? And now it’s OK with you if Pelosi calls me a terrorist, but we are not supposed to label Major Nidal Hasan a terrorist after he killed 13 of our brave men and women as he shouted out “Allahu Akbar”.

          • Palin12

that is in reply to Eyes, not John!

          • zack

Palin12, You are right the damn Muslim Nidal Hasan IS A TERRORIST. HE SHOULD BE SENTENCED TO DEATH IMMEDIATELY. it is a shame someone did not shoot him between the eyes!!

ted crawford, I believe after the 2010 elections when all the obama lovers are gone out of the White House that he will be impeached very shortly after. Or they will push to show that he was not born in the UNITED STATES.

          • Palin12

Let’s see, Hasan is in Texas, right? Isn’t the dealth penalty pretty popular there? Hmmm, wonder if I could volunteer to push the lethal injection button? They don’t even have to pay me, it would be a privledge!

          • zack

Palin12, A-man you and me to!

          • Palin12

PS I would also taunt Nidal Hasan as he’s being strapped to the gurney, much like the guards did when Ted Bundy was executed.

          • ted crawford

Deal with this eyes, he, his minions, and your subsidized life style are GONE in 2012!

          • eyeswideopen

ted, sorry, I was smarter than most of you, was watching Bush’s admin in 2000,2001 protected my money. Could see writting on wall. Soon as he declared “war” and Wall Street was functioning under lax regulations, I knew to run. I was around during the Reagan Savings and Loan crisis in 86 and I knew what was coming. Sorry, to disappoint you, maybe this info will help you see what happened.
            http://www.wealthdaily.com/report/the-architects-of-destruction/391
enjoy. P.S. if you follow the money, you will see how CORPORATE America is stealing us blind. Watch for legislation that benefits corporations and you will have a heads up.

          • zack

eyes did you say you where smarter than most of you all?
You can’t be to damn smart if you voted for the Muslim obama. That would be the dumbest thing you could have done to vote for that jackass. Hands a clapping! Feet in the air farting, lmao, lol, You are not all there.

          • Meteorlady

Hate to say it by Eye’s is right. Follow the money straight to Soros.

          • DamnYankee

Who is to say Obama was elected LEGALLY? Remember ACORN registering the dead, illegals, criminals, etc. CRIMINALS gave up their right to vote when they committed the crime. ILLEGALS have no right to vote in any of our elections, The DEAD should not be voting after their death. Haven’t figure how they, the dead, know who to vote for.

          • zack

eyes- he was not legally elected, because he is NOT AN AMERICAN. He is, and was born in Kenya Africa, a lire, African, a lire, African, lire, also a lire, and a lire, also not an American, and a lire, not a Christian, he is a Muslim, a lire, a Muslim, and also a lire!!
So he is NOT a legal President of the UNITED STATES, he is a lire, a Muslim, also a lire, and he is not MY president, simply because he is not an American, and oh yea, he is a lire!!!!

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Palin12,
did you see the spoof on the Bark No More??? It’s called the human talk no more!!! They show Obummer and biden at a press meeting and when Biden starts to talk, Obummer presses the button to keep Biden from talking!!! funnier than heck!!!!!

          • JeffH

Palin12, the dummy is reaching for straws, trying desperatly to connect the dots. Koch and this Dick Armey haven’t any connections at all, nada, none. I looked at every link and it is a jibberish.

        • Layla Hansen

Tom, your facts about Dick Armey are so wrong, I am just about 99% certain you are no TEA Partier.

          You are exposing yourself.

        • Layla Hansen

We are NOT a third party. If you see a candidate run as a TEA Party candidate, he/she is not one of us.

FYI, the largest number of TEA Partiers are Independents. You don’t know much about us, do you?

          • ted crawford

What they do know is that the Tea Party is deadly to their progressive cause! They will use every variation they can devise of saul alinskies tactics to try to discredit the movement! Those of us who believe in it must stay the course!

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Layla and Ted,
A friend of mine went to a dem meeting here and they were talking about infiltrating the TEA party to make them look bad! They were going to carry racist signs and cause trouble to make it look like the TEA party started it!!! We have our infiltrators as well!!! Look out what you say dems as the guy next to you may be a TEA partier!!!

    • Layla Hansen

Now I KNOW we have Dems posting here. Anybody active in the TEA Party movement already knows Dick Armey did no such thing. He was one of the staunchest conservatives in Congress.

You are showing your ignorance of the conservative platform, eyeswideopen.

You are either ignorant or a Dem.

      • Palin12

Layla, we have lots of Dems that come here hoping to persuade us to change our thinking to theirs. They are all wasting our time. I for one have no desire to be anything like them. I don’t support the health care bill, or the illegal aliens, or the unions, or any tax increases for any reason; nor do I support gay marriage. I do support ending all perks for politicians, such as pelosi’s $100,000 bar tab paid for with out hard earned tax dollars, or Michelle Obummer’s 21 paid “personal assistants” or using Air Force One for a hot date in NYC. Their bloated salaries are enough without all the perks!

        • http://?? Joe H.

          Palin12,
Amen!! Bring all government wages down to the national average for people with their education and time in position!! Till the HC bill goes into action, if it ever does, bring all politicians at the federal level down to standard for the American Average!!!

      • eyeswideopen

layla, read link I posted above, then you can apologize to me for the ignorant statement. lol

    • Eric K

      Hey eyeswideopen,
I don’t know what your point is.
If it ain’t constitutional it ain’t what the grassroots T party is about.
You try to corrupt contitutional principal we’ll expose ya.

      • eyeswideopen

Eric, you aren’t even making sense. Dick Armey is not what the conservatives represent. Since when do open borders appeal to you? You are ignorant of the people leading and funding the Tea Party organization. 60 conservative think tanks will be trying to jockey for political power and have hijacked the tea party officially. Get in the real world. For all you who are so paranoid about illegals, Dick Armey is someone you should be running from.

    • Win

Thank you for exposing these frauds……. trouble is most folks here have no idea they’re being manipulated like puppets.

  • s c

Hopefully, ‘leaders’ of the Tea Party won’t have to get their heads together (again) to do the job. By looking at the so-called Republican Party, they already know what NOT to do. The rest of the equation is to shun the “leaders” who ‘helped’ to implode the Republican Party.
The stakes are high, but dedication to core principles that founded America can overcome any obstacles. As long as the Tea Party doesn’t try to jump into bed with the enemy [big tent, popularity at any cost, acting like McCain with the media, letting the media preach objectivity when it specializes in lies and subjectivity, and re-defining terms to suit the occasion (ala Obummer), the Tea Party can rescue America from its domestic enemies and generations of Soviet-style, useful idiots.

  • Norm

Poor, young Alice; what a predicament she found herself in when she fell down that shadowy rabbit hole. She may have been better off making the daisy-chain instead of chasing the White Rabbit. Plus, the tea party she attended led her to confusion and many misgivings. Perhaps if Alice had taken the time to predict what was going to happen, compared and contrasted her opportunities for the day, or considered the causes for her boredom she may not have been tempted to follow that punctually-challenged rabbit. She might have saved herself both anguish and agony.
Alice found at the tea party the white rabbit, the mad hatter, the chishire cat, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, Bob McDonnell, and all manner of simple minded fools.

    • Jim H.

Norm, Please explain why wanting more freedom, less government,a balanced budget, fewer taxes and following our constitution( the law of the land) makes one “simple minded).

      • Norm

        Jim H.
By less government do you mean:
        1. Banks and wall street firms can go on unchecked and cause the worse recession in 80 years.
        2. The government should have let these monsters fail causing a financial collapse and failure of the monetary system worldwide. Then you would’ve really needed to carry a gun.
        3. Health insurance companys can continue consuming 1/3 of all premiums, raising rates by double digits annually, and denying coverage at their own descreation.
        4. Large corporations can export jobs at will.

Maybe if the US would stop fighting wars that accomplish nothing, the muli-trillion dollar savings could actually lower taxes or at least reduce or cancel the deficit. The founding fathers were vary wary of foreign wars.

As far as destroying the constitution, we have a court system to determine if that is happening. It doesn’t that that’s happened since Bush/Cheney allowed torture and wire tapping.

Sarah Palin is cleary lacking in her ability to think, Bachman is a physco, and Gov. McDonnell(who I kind of liked) turned out to be a racist and total rabble rouser. The confederacy died a horrible bloody death. Let’s not dig it up.

        • Jim H.

Norm, By less government I mean our leaders following the Constitution and not sticking their nose in where it be law can’t. It isn’t the U.S. tax payers moral obligation to pay YOUR doctor bill. It isn’t the U.S. taxpayers job to bail out a failing business. It isn’t the governments job to tell that business owner how to run that business(there by putting it in that position to fail). It’s not the governments job to tell me how many MPG’s my car should get. I see you have no problem with the lower taxes, or balanced budget part. Bachman is a psycho? Palin is lacking in the ability to think? I guess you know because your so smart and we’re such simpletons. I guess you sophisticated ones just let the DNC tell you what to think.

          • JeffH

Jim H., you’ll find yourself wasting your time with old Normy. His kind of government is about crushing capitalism and free markets, businesses etc., and growing government ever so larger to take good care of the poor and opressed people, which at this rate will happen sooner than later. Norm believes in socialism.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            JeffH,
            And cashing welfare checks!!!!

          • Norm

Maybe we need to abolish the FAA, FCC, OSHA, NASA, USAF, Social Security(including Bush’s part D)and every program that isn’t specifically named in the Constitution.

In the Constitution there are 4300 words in 7 main parts or sections called articles. Including 27 amendments, there are 6700 words. Very brief indeed.

The Founding Fathers worked hard to come up with a Constitution that could stand the test of time. They also had both the foresight and humility to know that with changing times there would be a need to change the charter for the US government. There is also power in the document to allow the three branches of goverment broad latitude in interpreting the existing document without going through the amendment process.
In short the Constitution isn’t stuck in the world of 1787. We don’t ride on horses, fight with flintlock muskets, or use blood letting for our primary medical procedure.

          • Jim H.

Norm, The Constitution Provides for the defense of the country(USAF),Because, yes , we don’t use flintlocks or ride horses(Unless for recreation or ranching) anymore. We need airplanes. NASA for space exploration, Like Lewis and Clark we have always explored. OSHA maybe states could monitor that if necessary. Tech has changed, human nature hasn’t. Freedom is still something humans(even the ones who aren’t simple minded)strive for. Give it up Norm your just ranting. The DNC gave you bad info.

        • Tom

Oh I agree with you Norm…
          Deregulation was a disaster.

We cannot have Capitalistic Anarchy. The corporate world should not be the wild west with no laws to restrict corruption. We see where that has led.

And for God’s sake, keep Goldman Sachs out of the Treasury…Thats like giving Jessee James a job at the bank. Wheres the common sense???

I think we can bring back some key regulation, yet still chop down the size of government….These corporate criminals need to be restrained.

      • s c

You tried, Jim. Consider the source of the ‘response.’ Ultraliberal progressives rarely respond with answers that have anything to do with the question.
What he implies (but won’t say) is an obessive need for less freedom, more government, a budget that’s never balanced, higher taxes, and a country that justifies a perverse combination of Mein Kampf and a rehash of the old Soviet Union’s ‘constitution’ and milions of people with their hands out, utterly dependent on a bloated, corrupt government.
Ask Normy to try and deny it.

        • ted crawford

The real problem the progressive minions have is, simply, they are unwilling to make their own decissions, and trust their own judgements! They, seem, to require someone like obama, pelosi, reid ET AL to tell them how to make decissions! How about if you don’t like AIG, walmart, sears, or any other business, do not patronize them! They always follow the old preverts line ” Hey, little girl, would you like some candy?”

      • Layla Hansen

Good comment and therein lies the ability to root out those who are NOT a part of the movement.

    • Layla Hansen

Yeah, just like the idiot in the White House. Only he’s dangerous.

    • ted crawford

I’d be very, very, careful with that label of “simpleminded fool” if I was you

    • Ellen

      Did White Rabbit find you?

Thought anyone that is interest might want to join a new organization called CrashTheTeaParty.org.
    Tea party ‘infiltration,’ destruction promised
Website: ‘We are sick of … racists who constitute fake grass-roots movement’

The site described itself as a “network of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who are all sick and tired of that loose affiliation of racists, homophobes and morons who constitute the fake grass-roots movement which calls itself ‘The Tea Party.’”

“What we want: to dismantle and demolish the Tea Party by any non-violent means necessary.”

The site said it would succeed by infiltrating the tea parties.

“In an effort to propagate their pre-existing propensity for paranoia and suspicion – we have already sat quietly in their meetings and observed their rallies. Whenever possible, we will act on behalf of the tea party in ways which exaggerate their least appealing qualities (misspelled protest signs, wild claims in TV interviews, etc.) to further distance them from mainstream America and damage the public’s opinion of them. We will also use the inside information that we have gained in order to disrupt and derail their plans.”
    http://crashtheteaparty.org/

    • JeffH

This website is absolutly tame compared to Crash the Tea Party..I mean so far over the top I feel as if I’m in church (no pun intended)here. If you have the wherewithall to see disturbing leftist rhetoric, this is surly the site to visit. This is just another reason these leftist liberals need to be defined for their hateful demeanor and quest to completely destroy this country.

Just a few of the tamer comments:
billyraybob says:I would like to know if there is going to be a monetary contribution made to me or my favorite charity for crashing the tea partiers?
iwantpie says: if i see that ol russ limbaoug at a teapary i kick him in his ol wite behind!
he aint nuthin but a cracker always talk smack on the brothers.
this the black man time now crackers finish

The guy that set this site up is a kook inthe first degree and is activley promoting hate and acts of violence against the Tea Party Movement.

I’m real leary of pushing any button that says CRASH with any computer!! Like Palin12 the main page was enough for me!!!

        • JeffH

Joe H, the source I got it from was a syndicated national radio broadcast who had already checked it out. You are right though…CRASH…

      • JeffH

Joe H & Palin12, no real need to go in and look at it. I managed after a couple of attempts to get in. The only types to join something like that are thugs anyway, at least what I saw was pretty despicable. Nice to know this is what we are faced with, just for disagreeing with our governments arrogance and the current radical administrations agenda and philosophies.

      • Layla Hansen

        This organization are union goons.

  • td.

Was recently asked if our Tea Party should join the Federation. My first question is, WHO is running the show? I ask this because we’ve had a hard time keeping the GOP out of our local conservative groups ~ so tell me, how do I know this isn’t a GOPO front, or the Board of Directors isn’t rife with GOP hacks?

    • Debbie

You’re right TD. Our local 912 group remains unafilliated with other groups, and I think this is the way to go. Let’s keep it grassroots.

    • Layla Hansen

      Stay unaffiliated, grass roots.

  • whs806

We need to fix both Republican and Democratic Parties. Trying to form a “Tea Party” as a third party will result in wins for the left wing liberal progressives that are responsible for the mess we are in today and more socialism in the USA. It’s time to vote existing incumbents out of office! Vote for more conservative candidates that support Balanced Budgets, Fiscal Responsibility, and Protecting our Constitution.

    • Layla Hansen

Absolutely correct! Vote for fiscally conservative candidates only…in either party.

  • Enlightened one

Of course the Tea Baggers are just Republicans…. Smaller goverment to them is just letting wallstreet and lenders do whatever they want…this country would go back to the ways of our founding fathers… Which means our infrastructure would be just the same as the countrys infrastructure of the 1700′s…. These people on the rightwing are responsible for the worst recession this countrys had since the 1930′s…. They have no credibility and I for one don’t care what they think… These rightys are the same people that broke the cookie jar and would love nothing better than to break it allover again…. Just look at just about every city in America still run by the rightwing goverments , flat broke, pot holes on the highways, turning out streetlights, layingoff police, layingoff the fire dept, cutting school programs.. Ect ..the rightwing are like locust , they destroy everything they come in contact with….so if you like the shape George W. Bush left our country in then vote the Republicans( tea Bag party) back in…… Our economys showing strong signs of recovering now and I’m positive good news for America is seen as bad news to the Facist right….

    • Tom

      Tea Baggers???

I think you have confused the Tea PARTY with some of your friends.
The Tea Party is a political movement, not the Bath House social “circle” that you more familiar with…

      • Tom

And ahh…I don’t care what the numbers show….there will be no recovery. There is nothing to recover too.

Any idiot thinking that an economic recovery is just around the corner, has pinned all his hopes and dreams on wishful thinking.

To understand how we can recover, you have to understand how we got to this point in the first place. Its was decades and decades of abuse by both parties.

The Reagan and Clinton “Prosperity” was not real, and its got a lot to do with why were are here at this point now.

There will be no recovery until after the house of cards has fallen.

    • Layla Hansen

      Oh God….more OBAMA preaching….

Why do you think we joined a TEA Party??????

    • Layla Hansen

TEA BAGGERS? I think you’ve just been busted, kid.

    • Jim H.

Un lit one, Police, fire dept, pot hole repair, street lights and schools are all state and local government responsibility. Your Bush hate just doesn’t hold water there. Explain the 4,4% unemployment rate and 13000 point markets under those evil reps in 06 and the utopia we’re in now under Pelosi, Ried& Obama. That hope and change thing going good for ya?

  • Boo T

The only reason one would wish for socialsism, is because one would somehow profit from the change or perprtuation of socialism. The only problem with capitalism is that we are expected to work or produce and there are those who just don’t want to work (and have been taught they don’t have to work). And by golly if those people want to make nation of lazy butts unto themselves, go for it, I want to live in the hard working, honest, and proud nation that I was raised in, not what it has become. I despise what Obama has done to our nation!!!!

    • Layla Hansen

And MILLIONS MORE agree with you! Thank you for saying it!

  • Michelle

The Tea Party movement is about getting back to our roots, back to the constitution and keeping government out of everything it should have been kept out of. When the government tried to seize the steel industry it was unconstitutional, but today when the government takes the auto industry it isn’t – what’s the difference? Availability to health care should be for everyone – but purchasing health care insurance is not the same thing – it is not health care. Our constitution doesn’t give people the right to health care insurance – THEY DIDN’T HAVE INSURANCE! Get back to the constitution!

  • psutopgun

A third party would simply allow fewer voters to determine a victor. This is not a good situation. We must remove progressives from both parties and all levels of government. If we choose our candidates wisely and vote together for that candidate then we will speak, we will lead and if either party wants to survive they will follow our independent venting and through our networks decide and vote for the candidate actually supporting our principles.

  • lynn

We need TRUE parties. I believe we now have 4 parties not 2. They just have to run in accordance to their true beliefs. We have the Progressives, Democrats, Rinos and Republicans. It is time to get the Rinos and Progressives out of the closet and make them stop hiding under other party names. If they were proud about their views they would not need to hid in shame. They would stand with pride scream to the voters exactly what their plans were for our country.

  • Layla Hansen

I strongly suspect there are Democrats posting here. Dividing the votes is the ONLY way they win.

We don’t need term limits to put them out; we merely need to participate in all elections and VOTE THEM OUT. Very simple, really. It is the people who don’t participate in the process who have cost us our liberties….those who don’t work and don’t pay into the system.

Take the Dems out this year and don’t put any new ones in. Give the new Congress a couple of years and if you don’t like them, vote out all incumbents in 2012. But the ONLY WAY TO GUARANTEE WE STOP OBAMA IS TO VOTE THE DEMS OUT NOW.

  • Doug Rodrigues

If the Republicans are worried about T.E.A. Party people splitting the vote, thus letting the Socialist Democrats win, then I suggest that the Republicans vote for whoever the T.E.A. Party deems to be the most Conservative candidate. I will vote for the most Conservative candidate regardless of what political party they belong to! To automatically vote for Republicans is to let the status quo of stupid / inept / corrupt / Elitists politicians continue doing what they’ve always done. Look what a fine job they’ve done to us so far?

    • Layla Hansen

You are right, Doug. The TEA Party is bipartisan. Dems don’t believe that. We are a MOVEMENT that will support and elect fiscally conservative candidates on both sides of the aisle.

      • eyeswideopen

layla, two posts above you state” take the Dems out this year and don’t put any new ones in”. Then in this post you say the Dem’s won’t believe you. What about your first statement don’t you understand??? You are speaking out of both sides of your mouth, of course they won’t belive you, silly girl. You say take them out, then you really have the nerve to say that the tea party is non partisan….LOL LOL Kinda standard practice for you guys isn’t it?

        • mike g

I think most tea partiers believe in a two party system. We want two responsible, fiscally conservative, constitutional following parties. The present leadership is none of the above and so we should vote them out.

  • John Hampton

This is the best opportunity our nation has ever had to remove the crooks in Washington (Democrats and Republicans). I was a conservative Republican and voted for Bush with regrets. Bush had the perfect opportunity to secure our borders post 9/11 and refused to do so. He also had the ability to veto the ridiculous Housing Bills the Democrats passed, but didn’t. Our present form of government is a total mess, therefore, the best way to get rid of the Obama cancer is to remove it completely. I’m now an Independent and want to get our constitution back. “We The People” have the power if we stand together,

    John

  • tim J

Republican is spelled tea party and Bush’s WMD.

    • Layla Hansen

Now I know you don’t know what you’re talking about, imposter.

      Bush was NO conservative.

    From: Edward Goelz

    God’s peace

    In God We Trust

This just may be GODS WAKE UP CALL for the USA!!!!, Jim.

Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to America in the last 100 years. Truly, he is the savior of America’s future. He is the best thing ever.

Despite the fact that he has some of the lowest approval ratings among recent presidents, history will see Barack Obama as the source of America’s resurrection. Barack Obama has plunged the country into levels of debt that we could not have previously imagined; his efforts to nationalize health care have been met with fierce resistance nationwide; TARP bailouts and stimulus spending have shown little positive effect on the national economy; unemployment is unacceptably high and looks to remain that way for most of a decade; legacy entitlement programs have ballooned to unsustainable levels, and there is a seething anger in the populace.

That’s why Barack Obama is such a good thing for America.

Obama is the symbol of a creeping liberalism that has infected our society like a cancer for the last 100 years. Just as Hitler is the face of fascism, Obama will go down in history as the face of unchecked liberalism. The cancer metastasized to the point where it could no longer be ignored.

Average Americans who have quietly gone about their lives, earning a paycheck, contributing to their favorite charities, going to high school football games on Friday night, spending their weekends at the beach or on hunting trips — they’ve gotten off the fence. They’ve woken up. There is a level of political activism in this country that we haven’t seen since the American Revolution, and Barack Obama has been the catalyst that has sparked a restructuring of the American political and social consciousness.

Think of the crap we’ve slowly learned to tolerate over the past 50 years as liberalism sought to re-structure the America that was the symbol of freedom and liberty to all the people of the world. Immigration laws were ignored on the basis of compassion. Welfare policies encouraged irresponsibility, the fracturing of families, and a cycle of generations of dependency. Debt was regarded as a tonic to lubricate the economy. Our children left school having been taught that they are exceptional and special, while great numbers of them cannot perform basic functions of mathematics and literacy. Legislators decided that people could not be trusted to defend their own homes, and stripped citizens of their rights to own firearms. Productive members of society have been penalized with a heavy burden of taxes in order to support legions of do-nothings who loll around, reveling in their addictions, obesity, indolence, ignorance and “disabilities.” Criminals have been arrested and re-arrested, coddled and set free to pillage the citizenry yet again. Lawyers routinely extort fortunes from doctors, contractors and business people with dubious torts.

We slowly learned to tolerate these outrages, shaking our heads in disbelief, and we went on with our lives.

But Barack Obama has ripped the lid off a seething cauldron of dissatisfaction and unrest.

In the time of Barack Obama, Black Panther members stand outside polling places in black commando uniforms, slapping truncheons into their palms. ACORN — a taxpayer-supported organization — is given a role in taking the census, even after its members were caught on tape offering advice to set up child prostitution rings. A former Communist is given a paid government position in the White House as an advisor to the president. Auto companies are taken over by the government, and the auto workers’ union — whose contracts are completely insupportable in any economic sense — is rewarded with a stake in the company. Government bails out Wall Street investment bankers and insurance companies, who pay their executives outrageous bonuses as thanks for the public support. Terrorists are read their Miranda rights and given free lawyers. And, despite overwhelming public disapproval, Barack Obama has pushed forward with a health care plan that would re-structure one-sixth of the American economy.

I don’t know about you, but the other day I was at the courthouse doing some business, and I stepped into the court clerk’s office and changed my voter affiliation from “Independent” to “Republican.” I am under no illusion that the Republican party is perfect, but at least they’re starting to awaken to the fact that we cannot sustain massive levels of debt; we cannot afford to hand out billions of dollars in corporate subsidies; we have to somehow trim our massive entitlement programs; we can no longer be the world’s policeman and dole out billions in aid to countries whose citizens seek to harm us.

Literally millions of Americans have had enough. They’re organizing, they’re studying the Constitution and the Federalist Papers, they’re reading history and case law, they’re showing up at rallies and meetings, and a slew of conservative candidates are throwing their hats into the ring. Is there a revolution brewing? Yes, in the sense that there is a keen awareness that our priorities and sensibilities must be radically re-structured. Will it be a violent revolution? No. It will be done through the interpretation of the original document that has guided us for 220 years — the Constitution. Just as the pendulum swung to embrace political correctness and liberalism, there will be a backlash, a complete repudiation of a hundred years of nonsense. A hundred years from now, history will perceive the year 2010 as the time when America got back on the right track. And for that, we can thank Barack Hussein Obama.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution

      From: James Graham

      From: S STEELE
THE HEART OF OUR PROBLEMS IS OUR POLITICANS ARE MONEY HUNGRY !!!!

As a widow of a military retiree, who stood with her husband for over 20 years while he served this country (which was the greatest in the world until this Congress and President took over), I have to say I agree. Shirley

As a retired military man that have given over twenty-seven years of my life to my country, I truly feel that what this
Country needs most is a new amendment to the Constitution . I am recommending that we add the 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED STATES.

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that Congress members could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn’t pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered…in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.

This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Congressman, Senators and Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Congressman. Senators and Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States”.

This 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED STATES Will apply to all passed, present and future
      Congressman, Senators And Representatives.
Just think of all the money this would save the tax payers!!!!!

I think the Senators, Representatives or Congressman that comes out strongly for this will be our next President.

HTCM USN Retired James A. Graham E-Mail address is ( jagraham@charter.net ) Please forward !!!!!!!

I agree with you Palin 12. The Tea Partiers just need to keep up the pressure. I am a USMC Viet Nam era vet very concerned about the direction our country is going.

I am personally supporting Liberatore for the 42nd district in Southern California. Phil Liberatore has been my tax man for the last 10 years, and is extremely bright and a conservative, and strongly concurs that there is a lack of integrity in Washington. You can see his website at http://www.LiberatoreForCongress.com

Keep the pressure on Tea Partiers!!!

It is refreshing to see America is rallying to save the country, constitution, and our way of life. I encourage each of us to write short but well thought out satements, say 50 words or less that political leaders can use. Topics like the repeal of the 16th amendment, for Fair Tax, Term Limits, Repeal Healthcare, no unions in government, stop illegals and border control. We are all thinking alike. We may say it a bit different but it is still in the correct direction. Stay smart, speak in short staements and attend all Tea Party Rally’s. The follow the procees and vote. America will survive Obama and the Liberal congress.

Example: I encourage voting for candidates who are for “Term limits”. Although this is not perfect it is a great start in stopping the congressional corruption we are now seeing and experiencing.

It makes sence, all the things Obama has done to make people dependant on the government, swell the number of votes for him.
The felons, the ilegals, the unemployed , the foreclosed, the welfare state frame of mind. Destroy the economy and they will have to go to the government for help/job !!!

  • kate8

Don’t forget that the only candidates that will get any media attention are the ones put there by the elites. Anyone else will be virtually ignored, as always.

The internet it good, but is it enough? Every election cycle has millions of indoctrinated youth votes and more entitlement votes.
How are we going to deal with that?

    Just wondering.

Here is a guy who has been talking about the elite’s plans for the world for quite some time. He has some great ideas on how EACH NATION,
including the US, can begin to take back sovereignty and beat the NWO.

    Check him out. Good man.

I think that we would very shortly see a huge reduction in tax burden and a big change in the operation of our government.

eyeswideopen: it is too bad your eyes are not open. You see there is a difference. Calling a terrorist a terrorist is a given fact and violates no rules or laws of free speech. But calling a patriot a terrorist because he wants to stand up and speak out for his country is wrong. OPEN YOUR EYES before it is too late. I would be willing to bet you are one of the ones that are on the take from government programs and is why you are so for the socialist movement that would continue to support you lazy butt.

I beg to differ about the “legally elected” thing, EWO. Obama/Soetoro is a fraud, most likely an illegal alien, and is holding office illegitimately thanks to your party’s deceit (along with others at the top). His entire history is a fraud. What kind of people allow
someone to hide all of their records, depriving the American people of any knowledge of who he is, and spend taxpayer money against them when they demand to find out?

He is NOT my president until he proves himself so. He is a discredit
to our entire system of government, and you libs continue to defend him. I can just imagine if a conservative tried to pull this off.

  • kate8

Rowdy, I love the idea of an oversight panel. We need to make sure candidates are thoroughly vetted before being allowed to run. No more illegal foreign plants being raised up by the elites and the media to deceive the people and usurp the system.

We have “checks and balances”, but they depend on a moral people to uphold. What happens when they are all corrupt? What recourse do we then have? We need something better than just “vote them out”, because we may not have enough time.

  • ChuckL

Here in Nevada, Harry Reid saw the writing on the wall and found a patsy to register a “Tea Party” and run on its platform. Needless to say, the only purpose for this is to siphon votes away from Harry’s opponent.

  • ChuckL

    Terrorist objectives:

Disarm the U.S.A. Obama with his Secretary of Defense, whom I also told Bush to fire, has terminated the best air dominance fighter in the world in current production and decided to replace it with a ground attack fighter that has had so many cost increases since it was declared our future defense of America that it costs 85% or more of the fighter that it is to replace. For this minimal savings we get a fighter that can NOT supercruise, carries only half as many air to air weapons, has a radar signature that is ten times greater, can protect only half of the area, which means we must use twice as many to cover the area and double that quantity again to get the same number of defensive missiles into the area. The F-22 was the best. It is being replaced with the F-35 which would be severely challenged by a 1960′s era F-4 or F-105, both of which are faster and can sustain a higher G-rate turn.

This replacement uses about 95% of the fuel which means that operational costs will be at least 4 times as much for fuel alone, not to mention the pilot salaries and the maintenance costs.

He has terminated the Air Borne Laser and relegated it to future development even though it has proven that it can intercept a rising missile and destroy it, which was its designed objective.

He has cut development for some of our Naval ships and reduced the capability of the ones he is going to allow to be built.

    Destroy the American financial system.

He has taken steps that will destroy the value of our money and bankrupt the country. He has, in violation of the Constitution, taken control of two automobile companies and most of the remaining banks. He has gotten Congress to pass an Unconstitutional law that will eliminate commercial health care insurance.

This bill which is supposed to solve the “lack or availability” of health care insurance will supply the insurance to everyone by using tax money. The rates will be less than the commercial insurance and will supposedly cover more. This will also solve the problem of insurance companies not covering pre-existing conditions by creation of Health care review boards which will decide on the care you will get based upon a “quality of life” determination made by a bean counter. (This must NOT be confused with a “Death Panel” even though the end result is exactly the same.) Some government employee will decide if you get the care you need to survive.

As all of these things are exactly what the terrorists desire for us, Please explain how Obama differs from these terrorists.

There have been defenses of Obama based on controlling the Banks, but the big wigs in the banks received a complete refund of their donations to the Obama campaign from the Obama controlled TARP funds.

There is only ONE way a third party can be effective AND actually be elected… by being in between the Republican and Democratic parties. A third party would have be part Ross Perot (stealing votes from the GOP) AND part Ralph Nader (stealing votes from the left). A third party that HAS to appeal to the middle and steal votes from both parties in order to have a realistic chance of being elected. That would require a very strong unifying platform like term limits… or campaign finance reform… or “fix Washington”… or whatever every frustrated American from both sides can agree on (if they can agree on anything). Sorry, the Tea Party is not the answer. The Tea Party is too far to the right to be a viable third party option and its too late for the Tea Party to moderate its reputation and appeal to well… most voters. All the TP will ever amount to is another version of Ross Perot and guarantee a Democratic party victory.

    • eyeswideopen

Curtis, you are correct, the Tea Party has offically been hijacked by the conservatives. Over 30 COnservative think tanks are sponsoring it and all of those CEO’s are Republican in registered party affilications. The Independents and moderate Dems are not stupid enough to join an organization that is so right leaning.

  • Joel Johnston

It is positively foolish to believe that the existing major parties could be reshaped to meet the demands of the people who want reform. It is great that so many conservative, reform minded individuals from different parties can enter the same room, discuss why they are tired of their party, and unite in common belief of reform. It is absurd then to think you can leave the room with new beliefs and try to effect change in your own party to any measurable degree. This does nothing more than dilute the focus and energy of a potentially cohesive group unified by a most profound desire to reclaim America. America is losing to obese bureaucrats, self-entitled masses, and the pacification of conservatives under the spell of status quo.

If you are afraid to stand against a two party system then you have not felt enough pain under a socialist trending government, believe a third party will help the democrats win, or do not have strong convictions and a belief that a new unified effort is possible. United we stand, divided we fall.

  • Joel Johnston

Don’t let liberal antagonists like “enlightened one” and “eyeswideopen” engage your attention. Keep track of all of them and let others know. EO is most likely muslim and supports islamic “victories”. Im not sure about EWO but sounds like a liberal who pissed his/her pants when BO got elected. Just be kind to these dumb animals.

  • Barbara Lewis

Please, please, PLEASE folks! NO THIRD PARTY! If you’re unhappy with either party, express that displeasure thru the ballot box. A Third party is divisive.

    • Meteorlady

Yea and we get the same old career politician or someone hand picked by the party elite. Sorry – can’t wait any longer for the two parties to do something, anything, that will help the country, not themselves and their party.

I have asked “FreedomWorks” for information about ‘donations’ -
    Who/Where/When – ??
I “donated” to their PAC, earlier, but want an answer BEFORE I “donate” more – I did receive a reply: “We’ll get back to you”…
In Colorado – there are FOUR, or more, web sites for the ‘Tea Party’ -
    ALL wanting donations!
For disasters/emergency needs – we donate to the Salvation Army – our experience, and including Chile, shows that they are there – helping, while the others are “planning”!

    • eyeswideopen

ben, Dick Armey has your money and is laughing all the way to the bank. Check out his background and you will see that he is not a conservative.

      • Meteorlady

Maybe he and Mr. Soros can go to the bank together then. Soros bet mightily on our dollar falling and won, he also channeled millions and millions into Obama’s campaign. So what was your point again? To date Soros almost broke the bank of England, has feed on third world countries to make his fortune. That’s the type of guy you advocate run your world. Nice fellow, Mr Soros – I’d even rank him worse than the Koch companies in damage to the US and it’s people.

  • Merl Elton

If the TP goes Independent, it will wreck the Republican victories in the House and Senate and stengthen Obama; insuring Obama a second term. The TP must therefore incorporate itself into the Republican party; and reform the party from within.

  • Wendy

Does anyone know why the Tea Party Nation is separating out from the National Tea Party Federation? I just got an email announcing it, but no explanation.
