‘Muppets’ Called ‘Anti-Corporate’

NEW YORK, Dec. 6 (UPI) — Fox Business Network host Eric Bolling and guest Dan Gainor of the conservative Media Research Center decried “The Muppets” for its “anti-corporate message.”

Bolling argued on his “Follow the Money” program that the latest installment of the franchise bears an “anti-corporate message” in having the titular characters working to save their theater from being razed by an oil baron looking to drill at the location, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

Gainor agreed with Bolling, tying “The Muppets” to the Occupy movement.

“This is what they’re teaching our kids. You wonder why we’ve got a bunch of Occupy Wall Street people walking all around the country: They’ve been indoctrinated, literally, for years by this kind of stuff,” Gainor said. “Whether it was ‘Captain Planet’ or Nickelodeon’s ‘Big Green Help,’ or ‘The Day After Tomorrow,’ the Al Gore-influenced movie, all of that is what they’re teaching, is that corporations are bad, the oil industry is bad, and ultimately what they’re telling kids is what they told you in the movie ‘The Matrix’: that mankind is a virus on poor, old Mother Earth.”

I’ll reserve my judgment on this issue for a later date. Now, if those who agree with the idea that the Muppets are anti-corporate, then you need to put your money where your mouth is. This is basically a pc, touchy-feely approach to an adult topic.
If you are truly honest about what should be simply a way to entertain kids [minus the politics], then stiffen your spine, act like an adult, act like you give a damn about America and DEMAND that the Federal Reserve be gutted and destroyed.
It is NOT possible to be “OK” with being anti-corporate if you DON’t associate the Fed with hardcore, criminal corporatism. If you claim to have functionl standards, then see the Fed for what it is. Get off your inert rumps, and help America GET RID OF THE DAMNED THING. Do you have standards, or are you just another worthless HYPOCRITE?
