  • Topping off the insincerity: Jay Carney had this to say about responding to scandals, “I would say that it’s been a challenging week, but in many ways a week that I’ve enjoyed.”
  • The House Ways and Means Committee drilled the IRS at its much-anticipated hearing Friday morning, with Rep. Dave Camp (R-Mich.) saying the agency has become too powerful and has demonstrated a “culture of cover-ups” under the Obama Administration.
  • A new poll out from Reason finds that only six percent of Americans think minor marijuana possession should be punishable by jail time.
  • Over in the Senate, senior Democrat Max Baucus is saying that the IRS scandal is just the tip of the iceberg. “I have a hunch that a lot more is going to come out, frankly,” he told Bloomberg News.
