More Lies

January 4, 2013 by

The Benghazi, Libya, deceit continues. Remember when the U.S. Department of State said that four top officials resigned after the release of a scathing report on the terrorist attack that killed our ambassador and four other Americans? It turns out that wasn’t quite true. One person simply got a new job, while three others were placed on temporary leave. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, blasted the deception, saying, “The discipline is a lie and all that has happened is the shuffling of the deck chairs.”

Should we kick the rascal out? Piers Morgan, a normally well-mannered Englishman who hosts a CNN television program, has gotten in hot water for his outrageous attacks on gun control opponents who were guests on his show. He called Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America, “an unbelievably stupid man” with “dangerous” views. On another show, he denounced a guest as a liar and refused to let him explain his views. As a result, thousands of people have signed a petition calling for Morgan to be deported from this country.

Good riddance to this regulator. I was delighted to see that Lisa Jackson, head of the Environmental Protection Agency, has handed in her resignation. In the past four years, no one in Washington has issued more punitive regulations or done more to stifle American industry than this lady. Hopefully, her successor will stop issuing dictatorial edicts and defying Congressional authority. But I wouldn’t count on it.

Gold’s amazing track record continues. For the 12th year in a row, gold finished the year worth more than it was at the beginning of 2012 — a record no other investment class can match. The Midas metal finished up 6 percent on the year. But silver did even better, rising  9 percent for the year. Platinum climbed 8 percent. But it’s not that precious metals are getting more precious; it’s that the value of the dollar continues to decline — something that will probably be true this year as well.

How many state department officials were killed during Bush’s watch and where is the indignity for that?

Looks to me like another vendetta against Obama.

    • Robert Smith

Morgan??? “As a result, thousands of people have signed a petition calling for Morgan to be deported from this country.”

Or one could simply change the channel. Ratings will have far more influence than petitions.

It’s the “ch” up or down on your remote for those who just don’t seem to get it.

      • Old Henry

Well Robert, the Brits also have begun a petition – to keep Morgan from being allowed back into their country.

    • JDL

Name them. List how many, and the names of state department officials that were killed on Bush’s watch. Don’t forget to include ALL THOSE who were beaten, raped, and WATCHED while abandoned by the White House.

    • stanli richardso

You are an idiot Robert Smith,

    • Walter & Renee Agard

that,s right Robert they forget what Bush did and blaming Obama for this damaged economy .War is what breaks a country down. These people are so blind with hate that they cannot think straight.

    • DaveH

I realize you’re a little slow, Robert, but how many times do we have to tell you — Bush is no longer President?

Look at “barry the liar’s history. From welfare baby to deceitful fradulent awarding of a full ride grant to go to school all paid by the American Taxpayer. To his questionable college and gov’t career and credentials. (Spending over a million dollars to keep school records closed. (What are you hiding barry ??) This individual has done nothing but spend his life signing the back of a government entitlement (welfare) check. He does not care who is hurt or sacrificed as long as he and his choom clowns have another free ride. Call me racist and hater all you want but sometimes the truth hurts. I have said it before. “Just wait until barrys bill is due and see who pays”

  • Yipeeiokiyay

What if they had a war and nobody came?

What if they levied a tax and nobody paid it?

  • CobraRanget

I am quite prepared to participate in rescuing my country from itself. I took an oath before God Almighty.

I hope that there are a few million more like you, especially CURRENT military. However, if you look at what the military personnel did in New Orleans I am not going to hold my breath. There are many hundreds from that tresonous fiasco that should be enduring Nuremberg-like trials, with similar endings.

It may very well time to do more than complain. Nothing will change until patriots are willing to stand in the street, hold a sign, shout, and yes-be civilly disobedient.

  • Kim

Once more I say with confidence. Obama does not know the meaning of ‘truth’ and would not know it if it smacked him in the face.
This whole stinking deal is one more example of the government’s view the people can’t deal with the truth. Try it. I’ve been saying that since a Journalism student graduated in 1967.

  • Dan Mancuso

    Mr. Wood;
The fact that everything costs more is due SOLELY to the de-valuation of the dollar is a fact that has to driven home to people, over and over again. And also WHY the dollar has been devalued.

It seems to me that our elected officals are suppose to be the very best at what they do. Why then do they act as if none of them have a clue as to what is really going on and the harm they are causing this country by all their bickering and arguing instead of trying to get along. It’s seems like a game to them. Who is going to cave in first instead of working together for the better good of our country. If they haven’t noticed, our country is in one hell of a mess and nobody seems to have a clue as to how to fix the mess we are in. I wish they would quit trying to play one side against the other and work with one goal in mind and that’s what’s best for the American People. Screw all these other countries who need aid. 99% of the counties we seem to be helping hate Americans. What do we get in return for helping these other counties except maybe a bullet in the head of every American they can find. If we don’t watch out we are going to be just like Mexico. No jobs, no economy, crooked cops, crooked armed forces and again we Americans take the blame for their screwed up country. I pretty darn sick of all of these border jumpers receiving aid from us Americans who work and have to pay high taxes to support their ass, I can’t even make a telephone call without getting some pre-recorded statement asking me if I want to speak Spanish or English. This is America or at least it used to be and in America I was taught to speak English but now I can’t even get a job unless I am bi-lingual and that just stinks to high heaven,.

    • stanli richardso

Very good remark, and I agree with you 100% the only problem is they do not care what happens to the American people. They just want to line their pockets with our money, take our guns, I am not sure that the children killed in the school were not just another ploy to get the fear in the American people so they can further their own agenda. We all care about our kids, so they figure harm the children, brain wash the parents and blame the guns, not the government. It really needs to be looked at , and I would further say, 9-11 was all about control and implementing fear. It did not do enough to get what they wanted, so you will see more of this, pray for the children, home school them and to h..ll with the great Caligula

David says — “Who is going to cave in first instead of working together for the better good of our country”.
When the Politicians start work together (and they already are) it won’t be for the good of our Country, David. It will be for their own good.

Obama/Davis’ doing from start to finish.

    Piers Morgan vs. Larry Pratt:

Note the common Liberal Progressive trick of talking “gun murder rates” instead of “murder rates”.
If a country has no guns whatsoever, the “gun murder rate” would be zero, of course. But we don’t care if they kill us with a gun, a knife, an axe, a hammer, an electrical tie, or any other murder weapon, we don’t want to be killed.
Also notice the common Liberal Progressive manipulative tactics of personal attacks by Piers.

More bad behavior from the Liberal Progressives.
