Mom Charged After Kids Found Home Alone

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla., Sept. 2 (UPI) — Police say they arrested a Boynton Beach, Fla., mother after finding her two daughters, ages 5 and 7, home alone, playing with condoms.

Fabiola Zamor, 29, was charged with four counts of child neglect and is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $12,000 bond, the Palm Beach (Fla.) Post reported.

Police were called to the family’s Gateway Club community home on Wednesday after the property manager reported finding the two girls home alone.

The police report says that when officers arrived, one of the girls was playing with a “small pink object,” which the officer recognized as a condom.

The apartment where the girls were found had no power, air conditioning or open windows and no food for the girls to eat, the newspaper said.

While police were on the scene, Zamor arrived and told the officer that she had left the girls with her boyfriend and he was supposed to get them food from McDonald’s, the police report says. She said she did not know why he wasn’t with them.
