Menendez Diagnoses Cruz With ‘Obamaphobia’

Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) put on his pseudo-psychiatry pants Tuesday and claimed that Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has been afflicted by a severe case of “Obamaphobia,” which is inhibiting his ability to go along with immigration-reform efforts.

On Monday, Cruz said during an interview on ABC that the White House’s insistence that Congressional immigration-reform efforts include a path to citizenship makes President Barack Obama the single “biggest obstacle to passing common sense immigration reform.”

During an interview on MSNBC, Menendez refuted the lawmaker’s claim, saying that the bipartisan Gang of Eight was actually responsible for pushing path to citizenship measures.

“Well, I think he has Obamaphobia,” Menendez said of Cruz. “The reality is that it is the Gang of Eight that came together — four Democrats, four Republicans — and said that we need a path to citizenship.”

Cruz’s spokesperson promptly responded, though without denying the diagnoses, in an email statement, “If Obamaphobia means fear of government tyranny and the willingness to stand against it, I wouldn’t say that’s inaccurate.”

Currently, Cruz and a handful of other conservative lawmakers are trying to block Senate consideration of the 867-page bipartisan immigration overhaul while they work to introduce an onslaught of amendments that would render the legislation ineffectual or garner support to defeat the bill altogether.

Maybe Obamacare will help cure this affliction.(not)

Menendez needs to quit messin’ around with under age prostitutes. Those STD’s that he’s afflicted with are affecting his ability to diagnose anything!

  • Gregorio

Menedez surely is afflicted with “veritaphobia” as are all of his fellow democrats…

    • Gregorio

It’s either that or “verititis” (truth that hurts)

obumaphobia would be a proper response to the out of control spreading infection called obumafascism that has infected a majority of bureauRATS of the progressive liberal commies and some RINOS.
The cause of the infection lies in the fact that these ‘people’ have such an open mind by their own admission, that this disease can easily move into that void!
The cure for that disease is a frontal lobotomy, complete retraining of the brain or urgent praying to Jesus Christ for forgiveness, which resets their brains and programs it with the light of the Holly Spirit!

The operative clause here is “to go along with”. Senator Cruz was not hired by his constituents “to go along with”, he was hired to represent them in the business of the people’s government.

…adding 20 million welfare recipients to the government food stamp / medicare roles and taxpayer burden is a “common sense” approach? You’d have to be a total idiot to buy into that BS… but then, there’s RINO Christie curled up in Obama’s lap.
