McCain: No Incumbent Is Safe In 2012

Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) has predicted the rise of a third party in the 2012 elections that will not tolerate the kind of spending included in the recent $915 billion omnibus spending package.

McCain has taken issue with the fiscal year 2012 omnibus, pointing out that in defense spending alone it included $3.5 billion in spending the Department of Defense didn’t want or need. The Senator said the money is simply to pad the pockets of contractors who are friends of lawmakers, according to The Hill.

McCain said that he believes during the 2012 election, incumbents from both parties will be in electoral danger.

“I believe that for long enough we have done this, for long enough the American people, who are now in a more dire state then they have been since the Great Depression, are fed up with spending,” McCain said. “I say to all my colleagues… I think in the next election no incumbent is safe.”

John McCain is a traitor to the USA. He and his RINO buddy Lindsey Graham should both be impeached and tried for treason against the US Constitution and the People. They both sponsored the “Indefinite Detention of American Citizens” – which passed the Senate and House – and signed by BO.

Quote: “It is not unfair to make an American citizen account for the fact that they decided to help Al Qaeda to kill us all and hold them as long as it takes to find intelligence about what may be coming next,” remarked Graham. “And when they say, ‘I want my lawyer,’ you tell them, ‘Shut up. You don’t get a lawyer.’”

Really? No lawyer? All they need is an Accusation? Wow, what happened to America?
Wake up and Support RON PAUL!!

MaCain is a prime example for all to see what a “Progressive Republican” looks like. The Progressives are working both sides of the aisle folks, not just the Jackass side.

    • wandamurline

Boy McCain got that right…too bad he is not running. The people of Arizona should be out getting signatures for a recall election of this pompus azz.

However there is a new contender that I met recently at a local gun show and talked to him and his wife. David in Ma,
McCain is a good example of what I was trying to tell karolyn the other day about how even though as a vet I honor ALL vets, but I will give them NO special dispensation in breaking the law or, in this case screwing the American people!!! I honor the fact that he is a veteran, but as a person, he STINKS!!!

    • http://yahoo don

home ownership hit an alltime high was the program clinton got in and made it possible for anyone to get financed to buy a home. i won’t forget that.when bush came in borrowing on your equty was the thing. wonder why the housing bubble burst.

      • Thomas Springfield

Yo don: How can conservative clowns ignore all the great progress America made during the Clinton years and just dismiss all of it by focusing on one single issue (home ownership for black people) that some people argue “caused” all of these CURRENT financial problems? Wakeup call: President Bill Clinton LEFT OFFICE in 2000. President Geroge W. Bush and his best buddy, a Texas thief named Richard Cheney took over the billions of Clinton budget surplus dollars and drove us all down only seven years later. TWO UNFUNDED WARS caused the problem Don.

        • Joe H.

          Thomas,
Only one little problem with your post!!! There never was a SURPLUS!!! Clintoon took money already earmarked for payout to social security and applied the SAME dollars to the budget! You CAN’T spend the same money in two places at the same time, it doesn’t compute!!! In actuallity (not progressive speak) there actually was a DEFICIT from CLINTOON!! Check out the GAO site and it is explained, or go to http://www.timesnews.net/article/9036215-cached

        • Meteorlady

Thomas – you don’t have to insult…. here’s the deal.

If the housing market had not collapsed, nothing would have happened like it did. Housing took the stock market, the mortgage market, private debt, caused massive government spending, mega losses of jobs in the construction industries, and created an atmosphere of fraud and corruption at the banks and Wall Street.

I’m sure Clinton didn’t intend housing to collapse, but the push that everyone own a home (not just Blacks) was wrong. What happened is that housing prices started to climb as demand rose. People started taking out home improvement loans, refinancing to pay for new cars, TV, pay off credit cards, etc. They came the speculators as housing prices increased further and further. They bought a many houses as they could to flip and make a profit. Meanwhile Clinton appointed Franklin Delano Raines as CEO of Frannie Mae. Franklin goes in and changed their accounting practices so that he can get more in bonuses. He guaranteed mortgage loans made by banks so that the banks started getting more and more creative about their lending programs, After all they were not responsible Fannie was. During his 5 year stint as CEO he made over $100 MILLION in fraudulent bonuses. He resigned in disgrace and was only required to pay back $2 MILLION of his ill gotten gains.

So the result of Clinton’s push is that housing prices have dropped dramatically and people cannot get loans to even buy anything right now unless your credit is 100% good. Millions of constructions jobs have been lose and numerous businesses that depended on housing starts are out of business. Banks had to be bailed out, people lost a lot of their retirement savings, and housing is still not affordable to the masses because they can’t get credit. Entire neighborhoods are standing empty because no one wants to buy a home in a neighborhood that has no one living there. Credit has dried up, retail sales are down, and government DEBT has increased ten fold.

So, before you make fun of conservatives, look to your own party and all the members of congress of either party – they caused this, they fixed this, and they are bankrupting this country paying off their union friends and Wall Street elites.

      • Joe H.

        don,
Yeah, anyone could buy a house!!! Whether they could afford it or not!!! Where did Clinton get the idea that people that couldn’t afford a house on their income could all of a sudden afford one even larger when their income hadn’t increased proportionately?? all of a sudden people that were turned down for a one bedroom house three years earlier, were now buying a three bedroom house with no money down, and minimum payments a month. They never paid the principle down so they were, in effect, paying inflated RENT!!! When Bush came along, he warned that Fannie and Freddie were getting out of hand and Dirty Harry Reid and Bawney Fwanks said it’s FINE, don’t worry, be happy!!! Well EVEN YOU can see where that got us!!!

      • JTB

Don, you’re wrong. what bust the housing economy wasn’t bush it was barney frank and chris dowd. pelosi was speaker at that time and bush told her at least 10 times what would happen if something wasn’t done soon and pelosi threw it out she wouldn’t even bring it to the floor so don’t blame bush blame the liberals (once again)!

    • http://nosite Tom Carter

Look out, Clarence!!! The guys are coming for you and they are bringing you a nice white jacket. Sorry but the jacket doesn’t have conventional cuffs. Tom C

    • T-Texas

Clinton lived off of Regan,Bush policies every on knows that.Look what NAFTA done to us and still doing,

      • Meteorlady

To be just a little fair here Bush Sr. pushed NAFTA also. I think that the results of Bush Sr., Clinton, Bush Jr. and Obama are killing our Republic and it’s a bad deal all around.

    • s c

cs, are you a close relative of McCain? Your comments tend to be ‘late,’ and are routinely awkward. Keep your day job, comrade. Writing [for money] will keep you poor and a ward of a corrupt, blood-sucking Big Government.
You’d make a good poster boy for keeping kids out of public schools.

    • wararrow

Are you a idiot ? or a pot head? Clinton is the main reason for mass illeagle invasion from mexico, the end of MILLIONS of American jobs, the housing bubble, letting unqualified people buy houses with a thing called, creative lending, this was started by Jimmy Carter, any one that wants to own a house should be aloud to buy one,and again taxes did not go up under Reagan,Get your information from a better source.

    • chuck Henry

Buddy Jose is this your new play ground? has RCP banned you for life for posting drivel like this?
Merry Christmas!! and a Happy New Year??
      Semper Fi

    • Meteorlady

Sweney – lets get real here huh?

      Clinton
      Fair Housing,
      repeal of Glass-Steagall,
      various one sided trade agreement,
most favored nation status for China,
appointment of Franklin Delano Raines as CEO to Fannie Mae,

He did leave a deficit of $17.9 BILLION the day Bush took office. The first full year of Bush’s presidency he was under a Clinton signed budget which pushed the deficit to $133.4 BILLION. Seems Clinton, like Franklin Raines found a way to use obsure accounting practices and income from the Social Security System to make himself look good. You can find this all on the US Treasury website.

With CONgressinal approval worse than the usurper in the oval office, they all should exit D.C. and the sooner the better. CONgress is too busy playing party politics and if they would just read the bills they vote on would be at least one positive action. All are men of rules, policies, and regulations…..have no idea what the US Constitution reads nor what it means. Most are products of liberal colleges with absolutely no common sense nor an idea of reality.

Time to take our Republic back from Democratic Soicialist ideas. As these CONgress crooks are lying, violating the US Constitution, stealing money from the wealth producers, killing off the middle class, they should all be fired with no pensions. What’s happening in D.C. stinks all the way to the west coast — party politics be damned. John McCain, like so many others, is as guilty.

  • http://yahoo don

seems clinton had a democrat congress when he got in but the peoplewere so pissed the way things were going they got a republican majority. obummer came in with a democrat majority afteer loser bush and got everything he wanted. to bad the senate did’nt go republican majority. kinda like checks and balance. he forced his obumunist helthcare on us with his democrat congress. now his obumunist healthcare is costing us a lot more. vote all incumbunts out net year and get rid of obumunism and we might have a chance. its going to be a long road. i hope we have a protest at the democrat convention next year all those who did it in 68 should participate. can you imagine all of us old farts doing it again. id go if i could.

    • Joe H.

      don,
i wouldn’t know, in ’68 I was in the Army, learning to work on huey helicopters, later went to Nam and was 67n2F.

  • AK Tom

When you refuse to participate in politics you consent to being governed by your inferiors. For way to long people have voted without paying attention (or not voted at all). It starts at a local level with school board and assemblies and goes all the way to a national level. It’s probably way too late to undo all the damage that’s been done by current and previous administrations. WAKE UP AMERICA! IT’S LATER THAN YOU THINK.

  • http://MSN Keith Dean

The only possible candidate that comes close to the kind of integrity needed to set this country on the correct path is Ron Paul. But he is seen as too liberal or “moderate” for the GOP to nominate. Too bad he didn’t run as an Independant and still had as much air time as the republican debates.
It really doesn’t matter who is elected to the white house, senate or congress, once in office they will be given an offer they can’t refuse to jump through big corporations hoops. Anyone that thinks things work any differently in DC is in denial. I suppose that is the biggest problem in this country, DENIAL!

    • Joe H.

      Keith Dean,
Tell that to JFK! Oh that’s right you can’t he’s dead for trying to get us back to the gold standard!! there are a FEW, VERY FEW, that will stick to their guns and preside in the way they promise, come hell or high water. I believe RON PAUL is one of these!!!

    • Meteorlady

You cannot name one single thing that Ron Paul has ever done illegally or unethically. That’s a fact.

He does not participate in government retirement or health care
He gives a portion of his operating budget back to the US Treasury every year
He reads and understands every single issue he votes on
He does not take money from special interest or lobbyists
He has NEVER voted for war or a tax increase
He has championed our Republic at every opportunity
He is honest and hard working
He does not own corporate bonds or stocks
He has never changed his message, not once, to suite the audience he is addressing.

He has my vote and has always had my vote. There is nothing liberal about him. There is everything free and open about him.

I read these comments a lot ant his page really hit home…. Not so much on the topic but the insue… I get so tired of all u cry babies talk talk and complain.. why don’t u all shut up and do something about it…. Stop cringe and start fighting for your country… Not UR BIG GOV.. the constitutes of the united states of America.. and the bill of rights.. there is a new bill going through the house and if past the leg.. call your senators and demand them tp vote on the. RTB READ THE BILL ACT… it forces congress to read every word in a law and then wait 7 days before voting it also requires them to post all new laws on the web for all us anti Americans… With lots of good laws also require all senators to sign a affadaviite saying they read it and if found they don’t it allows the law to arrest thwm for fraud.

  • ranger hall

TO: Keith Dean. You are right it does not matter who is in office. These people that are in office ALL belong to the same Club. They serve NOT the People or our Country, But themselves and there club members. The American People need to take back there Country.

  • http://yahoo scout

McCain is right. And he needs to be the first to go. I’m not voting for any encumbents. Do you know how your so-called leaders voted on the Detention bill. I know how Mine voted and i’ll do all I can to get him voted out. Vote no for Raul Labrador. He doesn’t like due process for our citizens……….

  • 2WarAbnVet

I know one puke in Congress who is safe for four more years – John McCain.

  • Jack Hotchkiss

    Senator McCain
It is sad to say I finely believe what is said about you! It has been said, “you are a RINO”. I as a constituent of yours did not resend you back to the Senate to break down the institution of marriage. Your vote today to allow queers to have the same rights and privilege as a couple (one man/one woman) is not only wrong, it’s Biblical wrong. Further more, I called your office to ask which way you intended to vote on the Marriage act. I was told by your staff ” you had not made up your mind as of yet”.
I then called Senator Kyl’s office asking the same question and was told, that vote was taken two hours earlier.
Between the two phone calls, perhaps 20 second had passed.
Mr. McCain you obviously consider me to be your enemy and are working against me, but I have no one to blame but myself, for I voted for you.
Consider this an advanced notice: I will no longer work for you but against you. I will begin by posting copy’s of this e-mail to all available.
    Jack Hotchkiss

  • r.p.

Unfortunately McCain is right. We will probably see the same ousting in both houses that we saw the last time. They will be voted out simply because they are the “Incumbents” and will have nothing to do with their records. We lost a few very good Constitutional Conservatives because of this voter mentality and replaced them with “Unknowns” (RINOS who jumped over to the Tea Party). With the exception of maybe Mike Lee. It is now more important than ever, that if we do this again we should at least take the time to know why we are voting them out and why and with whom we are replacing them with.

Do your homework before you go to the polls. Vote early and demand a paper ballot. It is your duty as an American.

    • Joe H.

      r.p.,
name one constitutional conservative we lost? I don’t know of ANY TRUE constitutional conservatives in now other than RonPaul and his son Rand, and NO OTHERS BEFORE LAST ELECTION! RON PAUL/ANDREW NAPOLITANO 2012!!!!! NONE OTHER!!
