Mark Zuckerberg Buys Neighboring Homes
PALO ALTO, Calif. (UPI) — Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has purchased the four homes adjacent to his California residence and leased them back to the resident families.
The San Jose Mercury News quoted a source with knowledge of the transactions as saying the 29-year-old multibillionaire purchased the Palo Alto homes and leased them back to the families after learning a developer was planning to purchase one of the homes, replace it with a larger house and market the property as being next door to Zuckerberg.
The source said Zuckerberg paid more than $30 million for the homes.
