Man Sues School For Class Refund

LAKE WORTH, Fla. (UPI) — A Florida man is suing his former college for a refund of a $532 course he completed that he said was not as advertised.

Michael Price, 55, said he completed a computer certification course in 2009 at Palm Beach State College and the class only gave about half of the 100 hours of classroom instruction promised by the syllabus, the Palm Beach Post reported Monday.

Price said the instructor was also routinely late and taught the class using an outdated Windows 98 machine.

The school referred the Post to attorney Mark Hendricks, whose office said he was out of town and unavailable for comment.

Henry Kay, Price’s attorney, said he expects the case to go to trial soon in Palm Beach County Court.
