Man Driving In Underwear Gets DUI

CHICAGO, Jan. 16 (UPI) — A man clad only in underwear and socks was charged with drunken driving after his vehicle hit a police car during the weekend in Chicago, police said.

Police were notified about a man possibly driving drunk in an alley on the city’s Northwest Side, the Chicago Tribune reported Sunday. Apparently the man thought the alley was a through street, police said.

The man, identified as 24-year-old Arsenio Garcia of Chicago, eventually drove the wrong way down a one-way street and crashed into a police vehicle that was answering the call, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.

After the crash Saturday, Garcia opened the door and fell out of the car, wearing only skivvies and socks, Mirabelli said. He was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for minor scrapes to his face.

Police said Garcia was charged with several infractions, including misdemeanor DUI, using an alley as a through street, driving the wrong way on a one-way street, no license, no insurance, failure to reduce speed and damage to public property.

The officer in the squad car suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from a hospital.

A bunch of questions come to mind, but I’ll offer only a few. First, will that Chicago airhead have to get dried out? Second, has that drunken twit ever had a DUI conviction? Third, was the weather cool enough to warrant wearing CLOTHES?
Fourth, is this kind of devolved behavior considered a no-no in Chicago? Fifth, if the wingnut ever appears before a judge, will he have to deal with a social activist or will Garcia be faced with a judge who guarantees that stupidity never enters his court twice?
I won’t ask the obvious question. Some might ask if Garcia is a U S citizen, but I won’t. Why, that might be construed as ‘profiling,’ and as we all know, ‘certain’ people have protected status in America – while the rest of us have to OBEY THE LAWS. I sure would like to see THAT fricking statute in the Constitution.
