Man Accused Of Impregnating 11-year-old

DETROIT, Sept. 2 (UPI) — Police in Michigan say an arrest warrant has been issued for a 28-year-old man accused of impregnating an 11-year-old girl.

Macomb County sheriff’s deputies are looking for Trevaun Cortez Brooks, 28, of Mount Clemens, charged in the warrant on counts of first-degree and second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a person younger than 13 years old, The Detroit News reported Friday.

Brooks is accused of having sex with the girl last year when he was living with her mother.

The girl gave birth in August and has since turned 12, sheriff’s officials said. The infant is in the care of child protective services.

Brooks briefly worked as a contract janitor at the school attended by the girl, Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said.

There was no indication any other incidents of inappropriate contact occurring at the school, he said.
