You mean the serial violater of Article 1 Section 8 of the Consitution? You know they guy who sticks earmarks in bills, then votes no and when he knows they will pass, says “I never voted for an earmark” LOL Ron Paul is just a political hack and a Libertarian Progressive who will let Iran crush us.

Woods can become petty on some issues, but he is, by and large, correct in his assessments here, with one exception.

Andrew Jackson was not “smashed” by the nullification crisis. In fact, Congress gave him the authority to invade South Carolina with passage of the Force Bill in 1833.

South Carolina, the President declared, stood on “the brink of insurrection and treason,” and he appealed to the people of the state to reassert their allegiance to that Union for which their ancestors had fought. Jackson also denied the right of secession: “The Constitution… forms a government not a league… To say that any State may at pleasure secede from the Union is to say that the United States is not a nation.” (Wikipedia)

Jackson would have indeed invaded SC to preserve the Union had not Henry Clay worked out a compromise tariff bill that was signed on the same day as the Force Bill. “The South Carolina Convention then met and rescinded its nullification ordinance. The Force Bill became moot because it was no longer needed.” (Ibid.)

Two months later, Jackson wrote words that turned out to be prophetic: “The tariff was only the pretext, and disunion and southern confederacy the real object. The next pretext will be the negro, or slavery question.”.

It’s no mistake that a postage stamp honoring Jackson was minted in 1862 by the Union.

Bigotry and hatred of Africans in america has a deep root and speaks loud when a man with one drop of African blood has been elevated to the highest office in the nation which was built on the backs of enslaved Africans. I think many of all ethnicities are disappointed to find that while they have been running after their god money, money and position has not, because it can not, save, nor satisfy the soul, and they have recognized the reality of ignoring basic human rights of our fellow man, women & children of all ethnicities. Most are now finding themselves disappointed that bigotry and racism was not resolved. Many others are using this as another opportunity to promote their hatred. The ideal of promoting people thought of by a system of systematic racism as less than to a higher status, i.e. education, employment, etc. has it really worked? No! because the entire system is set up to fail those who the few wealthiest believe to be insignificant in their power struggle to rule the whole world. In this nation people have a right to their opinions but when they express them in a manner which degrades and humiliates another human being they have become what this nation hypocritically claims to be fighting against throughout the world. Everyone should look at the man in the mirror and ask, “what have I done to contribute to the hypocrisy of this nation, i.e. United States of America, and the hatred of those who are different than myself? What can I do to make the vicious cycle of hatred and bigotry be broken once and for all? How can I learn to have and express my difference of opinion in a civil moral productive manner?” If everyone would get busy working on self then the changes you make for the better will have an impact on making the nation better. The people, politicians, religious groups, etc. stop being haters and causing discord but instead become love givers, and peace makers through civility and not violence. And this nation of ours will be a better place for all the people by the people! HalleluYahweh!

Judging by the corruption committed by black, asian and hispanic politicians in the NY metro area, I’d say that they have achieved parity with, if not surpassing, their corrupt, white political hackmates. How’s that for affirmative action?? Do you want to talk about hate?? If anyone else did to blacks what they do to each other AND any other ethnic groups that have the misfortune to live near, say,a large housing project, you’d never hear the end of it. Predictably, you never hear the end of a white on black attack versus the oft shrugged responses to the habitual black on anyone attacks.
I’ve been hearing the “blame whitey” game for over 50 years now, This bull is alrerady past being old.

I have NO PROBLEM with the idea of a black person holding out highest office, BUT, I’ll never understand just HOW this black man ever got as far as he has without a thorough background verification of just WHO HE IS and where did he come from??? (Condalisa Rice would have been a good pick) If he hasn’t broken the law being someone he isn’t while attending college, using different passports etc, why doesn’t he clear this up with the AMERICAN citizens?? I’m 77 now and I can’t wait to see “His” book after his term is up (legally or impeachged) how he SCAMMED the American people. Thank a DEMOCRAT for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is not a prejudiced drop of blood in my body that is against black people. In fact I have very good friends that are black including a very good neighbor. My opinion of Obama is not because he is half black. I don’t like Obama for the same reason I didn’t like bush and his father before him. They are (and their actions prove it) Anti-God, anti-Israel, Anti-American, anti-constitution and dead set against about every thing that our founding fathers stood and died for. He SAYS he is a Christian but his foreign policy says he is a Muslin. Remember how he snubbed the Israeli Prime Minister? How in the world do you think he ever got elected and re-elected if so many of us are racist? A lot of white people had to have voted for him. The worst racist in our country is Obama himself and his wife. for your information a lot of very intelligent Black folks don’t like Obama either for the same reasons that I don’t.

In case you haven’t noticed he is doing every thing in his power to destroy America. He (and Bush) have gone on as spending spree that has put us in a hole that we may never recover from. He and his czars have created rules and regulations that are in reality laws that have left the rest of our elected officials completely out of the judicial process and our elected officials have let him get away with it. We have become a socialist nation already, they just haven’t told us yet. They have almost completely destroyed our Constitution.

BOTTOM LINE: We the people are to blame. The founders of this great nation were mostly Christians and because of that it was founded on biblical principles and for that reason God blessed this nation far more than any nation in all of history. Fast forward to 2012, As a nation we have forgotten God and His commandments. We now worship our STUFF instead of the God that made it all possible. In short we are a sin sick nation and we don’t have good government because we don’t deserve good government. The ONLY hope for America is that we turn from our wicked ways and seek His face and He , and ONLY he can and will heal this land of ours that we have all but destroyed. If I were not a Christian and knew for sure that this world as we now know it is not my permanent home I would be scared to death. Praise the Lord.

        This is poor old Ray

P.S. At one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) a day it would take 2’739 years plus 265 days to get to a trillion dollars ($1,000,000,000,000.00) and we are seventeen Trillion dollars ($17,000,000,000,000.00) in debt and climbing at the rate of about one trillion dollars ($1,000,000,000,000.00) per year. That means that a baby born today is already about Fifty three thousand dollars (53,000.00) in debt.

Using the race card is lame. Grow up. Most of us judge people by their actions, not skin color. Tom Woods is close to spot on.

  • mafty fee

none of this is a suprise to me. If our founders were one millionth this corrupt no one would have fought the.British. These people are so corrupt there is mo way they are going to allow an election to happen in November without some attempt at a complete government takeover

What has been done to Ron Paul and by both republican and democrat proves one thing to me. Neither party has anything legitimate to offer anymore. Yes It is time to junk both parties and the scandals they create for each other and good men like Paul. Remember the republicans were tyrants towards him at the RNC. No different than the DNC. Where is their legitimate class.
I could not vote for either party. Nor would I ever again. Fix things means doing it NOW.
That’s what we really need to do, build America back to it’s original winning ways.

Divide and conquer is an old tactic!

I like Ron Paul and his statements that republicans and democrats are equally guilty of allowing Obama and this administration who took an oath to hono or and follow the laws of our Constitution

    Executive orders and Constitutional law(s)
Executive Orders have NO Constitutional merit.
Article 1 clearly says ALL legislative power shall be
vested in the Congress. It doesn’t
say “some” or even “most”. It says “all”. And being commander
in chief doesn’t cut it either.

I’m not in the military so how could any such order from the CIC..our Constitution, Oboma and his executive pen have got to go. See the the above please:

oops typo should be honor (not hono or) sorry
