Lawmakers Scramble To Increase FEMA Funding

May 25, 2011 by

Lawmakers scramble to increase FEMA fundingMany Americans are keeping their fingers crossed in hopes that a devastating natural disaster doesn’t sweep through their neighborhood, especially considering the recent news that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is running low on relief funds.

Self-sufficiency skills among Americans may be more critical than ever due to the current economic crisis in Washington, D.C. Having already reached its borrowing limit, the United States government is now scrambling to find extra funds to help the victims of the recent tornadoes in the South and Midwest.

According to FOX News, lawmakers on Capitol Hill have announced their intention to draft an amendment to boost funding for FEMA. President Barack Obama’s budget proposal for the 2012 fiscal year includes $6.79 billion for the agency, which is less than the $7.1 billion allocated toward disaster relief funds in the 2010 budget.

Representative Robert Aderholt (R-Ala.), the chairman of the House Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, told the news source that the Federal government has to “step up to the plate” in response to the recent tornadoes and massive flooding.

Meanwhile, FEMA has urged residents living in mid-Atlantic States to bolster their survival skills in preparation for hurricane season, which runs from June through November. According to The Associated Press, the agency recommends that citizens should have enough supplies to last 72 hours, including food, water and batteries.

FEMA does not help anybody but themselves. In New Orleans all they did was confiscate the victims guns and then leave them, is that help? Fema should be defunded and completely removed from the U.S. The only thing they are good at is building concentration camps and coffins and bring in foriegn troops. Screw’em!!!

    • DanB

I don’t believe the concentration camp conspiracy theories.

That being said, I do think that FEMA should be defunded. Here’s my reasoning.

      1. The money probably won’t going to Americans equally. It has become a political tool. Example: President sends aid to Mexico (not even a part of the United States last I knew but seems to be a friend of our President) and skips over Texas (which is in the US but is not a state that favors the President’s policies).

      2. We complain about States relying upon federal funds for everything, but something goes wrong and we immediately cry for federal funding. If the States truly want their freedoms back, then they must become self-reliant. Perhaps the problem is that none of our States actually have their own emergency services anymore? That isn’t true, but we sure act like it.

      3. I am beginning to think that a lot of federal programs are more about conditioning us to look to the federal government for our needs. FEMA seems to be a part of the whole picture.

Note: FEMA did not exist until executive order (not legislation?) in 1979. Learning that executive order created FEMA actually makes it far less appealing to me…. By the way, if FEMA did not exist until 1979, then how did we deal with disasters in the past? Hint: Congress had a part in disaster relief legislation (before executive order consolidated more power with the executive branch, as in President).

I am so sorry that you don’t believe the concentration camp conspiracy theories. But hey, I think thats what the people in Germany and other countries were saying too when all those good guys were building those “conspiracy theory amuzment parks overthere” well they sure did learn didn’t they??? A little too late. Well thats price for denial.

        • eddie47d

Antonio; Folks like you live on fear and try to put as many people under your wing to believe the same conspiracies. You want to “win” no matter how wrong you could be. You are like Mr Camping who proclaimed that the world is ending and no one can refute him. He told everyone he was 100% right when he was 100% wrong and thousands of people believed him. Several folks like talking about Messiahs lately and they have all been false flags and that includes your whacked out version of life.

          • Loyd

Politicians maintain their power by planting, mostly non-extant or baseless, fears amongst the population and then proposing ways to, “fix,” that with which little or nothing is wrong with in the first place. Nine times out of ten – due to their ignorance, self-serving avarice and the fact that they’ve been living the good life for so long that they’ve lost contact with reality – if there was a problem in the first place their, “solutions,” serve to make it worse. If there wasn’t a problem we, the people, wind up with one – usually in the form of another bunch of non-producing, self-perpetuating government bureaucrats to support.

Don’t worry about Antonio spreading fear. No one listens to him but, for some inexplicable reason and after so many decades of negative experience to draw upon, we keep listening to politicians.

          • Antonio

When i read you comments to everybody’s post I always think of a dog that has one of those funnels around its neck. You make a really good example of that every single time. It really is funny. Come boy, Sit boy, Go boy, lay boy, i think you will be a real good slave and the nwo will be real proud of you.

          • Kate8

Antonio – I’m always amused by those who say they don’t believe in something they’ve never bothered to find out about.

If it sounds too awful, then it can’t be true, right?

You are right. Germans all said the same thing about the death camps, even as the slaughter was taking place.

I realize that some people just can’t handle the fear, and will shoot the messenger, thinking that takes care of the problem. But you know the saying…knowledge is power…you can’t do anything about a problem when you are in denial of it.

Come on, guys. At least look at ALL the evidence before you simply decide it’s not true. But then, the cowardly hide their heads in the sand.

          • JKO

While I can’t prove one way or the other, I will say that Jesse Ventura did make a compelling argument about exactly what Antonio is saying. I haven’t had time to research it for myself yet however.

          • Mike in MI

eddie47d – Camping made some claims and thousands of people believed him…well,

K88 had the right response up above. People are too stupid if they don’t check it out more deeply…from the primary document.
Like, on the basis of what does Camping make his assertions? Only one basic resource that tells us about “The Return” or anything else concerning Jesus Christ. What’s that? The Bible. So, why not go find out what it says about such matters before falling prey to Camping’s claim?
Personally, I feel no sorrow for those dolts. So, don’t you, eddie, use them as the basis for anything unless you want it turned back on your own head. Your ignorance is put on display as gloriously as theirs’ has been. We can’t make God do anything He doesn’t want to do or push Him to act in any way just because we say so.
If we get our beliefs lined up with what He says He will respond to then His faithfulness to His Word always pays off in results for us. But, if you come telling Him what you need on any other basis you will come up empty. God only has one contract in effect at one time; He will not put Himself in breach of contract, do double dealings or lie. But, I, personally have found Him to be honorable and good on His Word, especially when we (my wife and I and kids) get our expectations in unison on what He says He does today.
I’m someone who has been trained a bit i science and I’m proud to say, “I (we) believe God without question and the name Jesus Christ is a good one to align with.” Going other ways you do yourself a disservice.
Camping’s wrong about his re-set of the day in October, too. He’ll be wrong aout every date he sets – as will any other such fool who tries disputing God’s statements. Always have been; always will be.
            I rest the case.

          • eddie47d

I saw nothing compelling on Ventura’s show about FEMA camps. All conjecture-wishing and hoping.

        • DanB

I try not to waste my time on the FEMA camp conspiracy theories. Here’s why:

          1. If true, then making people aware of them changes nothing. What needs to be changed is our course as a nation. If we turn away from our course towards a democratic dictatorship, then it won’t matter if it is true. If we get people all crazy about concentration camps, and still don’t change directions, then we are headed into trouble no matter which way the coin lands, heads or tails.

          2. If there are none and the rumors are false, then it still doesn’t matter. If we continue done the path to a democratic dictatorship, then there WILL BE some form of detainment of our own citizens. House arrest? Political prisoners? Confiscation of all properties (effectively the same as concentration camp…)?

It really doesn’t matter. What matters is changing course as a nation. Because if we don’t stop our course to repeat international history, it will become true whether or not it is true now.

By the way, when Republicans are in power, Democrats are worked up over possible FEMA camps. When Democrats are in power, Republicans are all worked up over possible FEMA camps. So the existence or none existence does nothing to improve the American dialogue. Which is why I stand behind my point that their existence does not matter. If we repeat the course of Nazi Germany going into World War II, that is a problem. And when we look at that course, we are far, far along the course to government controlling everything and ALL power falling under the office of one potential dictator.

          • DanB

“done the path”? Oops! (laughing at myself) Should be “down the path”

          • DanB

“none existence” really should be “non-existence” and I really should have slowed down writing that response.

          • Antonio

First of all dont worry about the typo’s I can figure out the “down” part when i read. I look for the points made and opinions.

Yes, you are right we need to change course and get back to the republic that this nation once was. BUT, you know as well as i know that is not going to happen. SO, I try to consentrate on what the government is really trying to do to us. Control us and enslave us yes
FEMA camps are real how else do you expect them to “detain our own citizens”??? Think about it.
Heres the thing, we need to inform people of what is going on and yes that includes the camps; so that when the government starts confiscating firearms the people WILL KNOW that they had better keep their guns. Does this make sense? I am not trying to scare people or get them all crazy. I am just trying to make them aware of the things that are going on around them so that just maybe they will have the oportunity to prepare. That only makes the game fair right?
I do not consider myself a “republican or a democrat”. I am just someone who sees the government for what it really is man, the enemy.
The new world order is real, camps are real, the goal to depopulate the world is real. revelation 9 even tells you that they will decrease the world population by a third.
by the way i make videos about these things would you like my youtube channel?

          • Kate8

DanB – It doesn’t matter to you if it’s real or not?

What about TRUTH? That’s one of the biggest problems we face today, is that no one CARES about the TRUTH. It’s called the “normalcy bias”.

I guess if you are content to simply being herded like sheep, then you deserve what you get. But God gave us a mind for discernment, even though those in power would have us think as we’re told, and disregard what we see or sense.

There are those of us who just aren’t willing to give up our personal sovereignty as human beings with mind and spirit. The PTB count on people like you to stay out of their way while they complete their plans of enslavement, and…yes…genocide. It’s happening all around you, at this very moment. But most of us sit like the three monkeys…hear no evil, see no evil and, especially, don’t talk about it.

          • DanB

I believe I wrote that it does not matter whether it is true or not. If you paid attention, you would understand that the greater threat isn’t whether they exist but the path we are on as a nation. Do you really think it would take long to build a concentration camp? They don’t need to exist now to become reality tomorrow. And if they do exist today, they won’t be a reality tomorrow if we change our future now.

Instead of dealing with and diagnosing the disease, we look for the symptoms and try to fix the symptoms. If we do nothing to fix the disease itself, then the problems will persist and we will never truly win the battle with the symptoms.

I am getting sick and tired of the discussion of FEMA camps, real or not. I am called stupid for not seeing them.

Do you not see that by shooting past the target you are missing the fundamental problems with FEMA? Problems that exist far more reaching and are far harder to cure than whether or not FEMA camps exist?

FEMA was created by executive order?! This is a serious problem I have with FEMA. Why? This is really the symptom of a deeper and far more reaching issue. Laws of the land by executive decree are a threat to our personal liberties. Our new technological concentration camps are coming to an internet provider near you (and your personal computer too). Before you could start throwing people into concentrations camps, you would need to control the media, and today that means the internet. Well guess what? We are getting there through a little legislation but mostly executive decrees and bureaucracy–also under the executive branch. (Hmm, doesn’t this sound like the same issue I have with FEMA’s creation?) It could happen sooner than most realize. Why is net neutrality so important that when it fails legislatively that they have to get it another way–FCC? Why is our president signing executive orders to create national cyber security measures? Perhaps the measures themselves are not as important as the structure they create. FEMA is only an introduction to what we are going to have if we do not cure this disease. We are giving away our protections and freedoms. The president will be given a free pass on the war in Libya and the Constitution will be shredded again. They are even passing legislation to consolidate more war powers in the office of the President? (I still have trouble swallowing that news but I knew it would become true even before I heard it because America is NOT changing course–the Tea Party might have rocked the boat but has not yet even slowed the progressive agenda).

          • Kate8

DanB – I don’t know about you, but I’m capable of considering ALL of those things, and still focus on the main problem. I don’t have to choose one over another.

          • granny mae

I don’t know about FEMA camps but I do know about gun confiscation and they (the Obama administration) is working hard and through the back door to be able to get our guns from us. Hillary Clinton recently announced the Obama administration will be working hand-in-glove with the United Nations to pass a new “Small Arms Treaty.”
Disguised as an “International Arms Control Treaty” to fight against “terrorism, insurgency and international crime syndicates”, the UN’s Small Arms Treaty is in fact a massive, Global gun control scheme. Ultimately, the UN’s Small Arms Treaty is designed to register, ban and confiscate firearms owned by private citizens like you. So far these gus have been able to keep the exact wording of this scheme under wraps. But looking at previous versions of UN Small Arms Treaty we can get a good idea of what’s likely in the works. If passed by the UN and ratified by the U.S. Senate, the Treaty would almost certainly Force the U.S. to:
            1. Enact tougher licensing requirements, making law-abiding Americans cut through even more bureaucratic red tapejust to own a firearmlegally.
            2. Confiscate and Destroy All “unauthorized” civilian firearms. (All firearms owned by the government are excluded, of course.)
            3. Ban the trade, sale and private ownership of All semi-automatic weapons;
            4. Creat an International gun registry, setting the stage for full-scale gun CONFISCATION.
            These anti-gun
To the petty dictators and one-world socialists who control the U N, the United States isn’t a “shinning city on a hill”– it’s an affront to their grand design for the globe. They know that as long as Americans remain free to make our own decisions without being bossed around by big government bureaucrats, they’ll NEVER be able to seize the worldwide power they crave. The best way to tame us is to destroy our gun rights. I think we all have to be prepared to stand together and move fast on this one. The fact is the last thing the gun-grabbers at the UN and in Washington, D.C. want is for you and me to have time to mobilize gun owners to defeat this radical legislation. They made that mistake before and we’ve defeated every attempt to ram the TREATY into law since the mid-1990′s. But now time may not be on our side. In fact we’re likely to only have a few weeks to defeat the treaty when they make their move. And we definately don’t have a president in the White House who will oppose this treaty. So the only chance is to stop the “UN’s Small Arms Treaty” during the ratification process in the U.S. Senate. To do that we have to turn up the heat on the Senate now before it’s too late! In order to do that The National Association for Gun Rights is asking for peole to help by making a donation to them to help fund a massive program to be launched the second this treaty is brought before the Senate. Direct mail, phones, E-mail, Blogs. guest editorials, press conferences. Hard hitting internet, newspapers, radio and TV ads. They need our help so please do what you can. I am sick and tired of this administration and their love relationship with the disfunctional UN. We need to keep the UN out of our countries Sovereignty ! If you can and want to help financially please send your contribution to Senator Rand Paul c/o National Association For Gun Rights Post Office Box 7002 Fredericksburg, Va. 22404-7002

        Hey Gang…
        Whagt’s all this defund anything?
EVERYTHING is ALREADY defunded. Anyone remember what our balance of payments is? Why they’ve been arguing about raising the debt limit?
Why Bernanke has been printing $1,000.00 bills as fast as you can fool liberals when they turn on the teleprompoter? Faster’n the O’BathHouseBumBlaster loses his train of thought when it goes off?
Is that why all the states are in hock and don’t have any of their own rainy day (or tornado day) funds? Is that why they can’t sem to solve the housing-value depression? Is that why there aren’t any good reactions to Stimu-Slush ACORN-Funding?
Could it have anythng to do with Deification of sheep in wolf’s clothing? Does it have anything to do with the fact that, nomatter how hard people like Jovial Anus try, they can’t make gravity pust things into earth orbit – except maybe the interest payment on the debt.
You can probably count on it that there can not be any funds available, anymore, to the homeless people in Oklahoma, Kansas, Tennessee and up and down the Ohio-Mississippi River flood plains.
Bernank has been giving it all to his friends on the big bank boards, AIG, Fannie and Freddie and every other Demo-progressive grazer in Congressional Orifices. It will be interesting to see if Barey Frank other drippy scum-bags like him can cum up with some spendthrift way to lie his way out of this mess.
If we have a bad hurricane season, too, there are going to be an awful lot of people scrambling to get housing (who don’t have jobs, food or much in the way of clothng). (What do you think prospects will be for next winter?)
WHY? Because liberal jack-asses think you can spend yourself to the hilt swiping your Master-bate/Visa Card on every “dumb-assed Bauwnee Phuwanque ideyee” that pops up on your LSD hallucination viewer?
Whadd’ya’ wanna bet Obama will still get money to throw in the direction of G. Sorros and his muslim friends and eat Kobe Beef and swill Budweiser with Reverend Wrong? We can’t even help our own people now, WE’RE SO ‘BAMAFIED. That means BROKE and suckin’ Democrat-wind. How do you like HIM now all you Independents who voted for HIM?
(While I’m at it.) How about all you gang-bangers in the cities living on welfare and food-stamps? What are you gonna do when the money stops flowing – and you start to hunger and thirst – then start getting sick – then start dieing or killing each other off? Just remember your friend Obama did it to you…not anybody else. He did it by taking all the money that paid all the taxes that paid all the government agencies that sent you your welfare checks.
You can rest easy now Barack Hussein Obama I your son has brought the Empire to its knees – and soon the world will follow.

        • Kate8

Mike in MI – Good point. What money? There hasn’t been any REAL money for a long, long time! It’s all an illusion…numbers running on computer screens…in other words, THIN AIR.

We’re living in a virtual reality where everything is make-believe. Some have and others have not, based on…what? Who you are?

          We’re BAMAFIED and BAMBOOZLED.

          • Mike in MI

Hey, Katie – What’s up with you, lady? Good stuff, I trust.
In regards to all the stuff above and seeming negativity I’m still HOPEfull and joyous for coming times. It’s going to be fun and neat to see how God makes good on His faithful promises in times ahead. He’s always come through in the past – whether I’ve got moulah or not.
So, I guess it’ll just be a different set of circumstances. Nothing that’s above His head and beyond His reach.
We’ll keep doing His Thing and He’ll take care of our things…right on time.

          • Kate8

Hi Mike in MI – Still going.

Yes, God will sort things out, but He does have His Own Timetable. Hard to say how much we’ll have to put up with before He steps in.

          • Antonio

Hey Kate8 are you guys talking about all that conterfeit money they keep printing LOL
BY THE WAY, How are those videos working out for you? Are you starting to understand them? Maybe a little?

          • Antonio

OOPS i left out the U in one of the words.
Just thought i would note that before any spell checkers hit me LOL

        • DanB

Sadly, they won’t remember that they elected the very politicians that perpetuated the myths that created their problems. I wish they would. I wish they would see reality now. But I have learned too much lately to believe that they will see reality falling down upon them. To accept that their politicians put them in this mess risks admitting that they chose this mess as voters. And if our President is any example, personal responsibility is anathema to America in general. They will chose the illusion, just as in Nazi Germany.

          • Antonio

Yes “reality” Like knowing that FEMA has the U.S. divided into 10 regions or states and now with obamas new E.O. they are to appoint 10 governors to these 10 regions/states. Reality in knowing that they have about 800 concentrtion camps throughout the U.S. Reality in knowing that these camps are manned by “foreign troops” anothers words by people that are not americans. Reality in knowing that northern command is being established to… control citizens and that means you. Reality in knowing that RFID chips are set to be mandatory in obama health care bill and with those they can and will track you. Reality in knowing that both democrats and republicans are controled by the illuminati and that is why your votes, calls, faxs, words and whatever else doesn’t mean anything to them because they answer to the…ILLUMINATI. Reality in knowing just what the illuminati really is, They are the bankers that control your world. They are the ones that created paper money and with all these wars, inflation, economic strugles. Reality in knowing that they are creating a world wide financial crisis so that they can maintain a NEW WORLD ORDER from chaos. Yes, reality. Now thats too much to be learned lately.

    • JC

God forbid anybody should get help from FEMA.
And yes I do want an explanation for the 800 or so camps that are obviously designed to detain people. Relief camps don’t require barbed wire and gaurd towers. And how about thos double decker train cars with the shackles welded to the floor? What the hell are those for?
If FEMA shows up to help you…I hope you’re prepared to defend yourself.

      • Antonio

It sounds like you have done your homework. Good job. Yes I am prepared how about you? To further prepare you must infome people who live nearby you so as to take care of one another. We need to keep informing the people so we can unite. Be prepared for the upcoming martial law soon.

FEMA CONCENTRATION CAMPS: Locations and Executive Orders

          [New!: Who is Barbara Hartwell?:

There over 800 prison camps in the United States, all fully operational and ready to receive prisoners. They are all staffed and even surrounded by full-time guards, but they are all empty. These camps are to be operated by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) should Martial Law need to be implemented in the United States and all it would take is a presidential signature on a proclamation and the attorney general’s signature on a warrant to which a list of names is attached. Ask yourself if you really want to be on Ashcroft’s list.

The Rex 84 Program was established on the reasoning that if a “mass exodus” of illegal aliens crossed the Mexican/US border, they would be quickly rounded up and detained in detention centers by FEMA. Rex 84 allowed many military bases to be closed down and to be turned into prisons.

Operation Cable Splicer and Garden Plot are the two sub programs which will be implemented once the Rex 84 program is initiated for its proper purpose. Garden Plot is the program to control the population. Cable Splicer is the program for an orderly takeover of the state and local governments by the federal government. FEMA is the executive arm of the coming police state and thus will head up all operations. The Presidential Executive Orders already listed on the Federal Register also are part of the legal framework for this operation.

The camps all have railroad facilities as well as roads leading to and from the detention facilities. Many also have an airport nearby. The majority of the camps can house a population of 20,000 prisoners. Currently, the largest of these facilities is just outside of Fairbanks, Alaska. The Alaskan facility is a massive mental health facility and can hold approximately 2 million people.

Now let’s review the justification for any actions taken…

Executive Orders associated with FEMA that would suspend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. These Executive Orders have been on record for nearly 30 years and could be enacted by the stroke of a Presidential pen:…

A list of camp locations here:

    • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Antonio… I didn’t know that FEMA was building the camps, but I did know about the camps. I don’t think you are making this up.

    • EddieW

FEMA doesn’t respond to “public” happenings…it has a single main job…to fill the Concentration camps that are dotting most States, and are ready to run, employees and everything is ready, fences, lock down places, complete with the color coded areas, Rlue and Red Those going to the Red area, will not come back out alive!! That IS the reason for it!! They have huge, immense! Gas ovens, could probably cremate 4,000 people at a time!! It is awaiting the order!! I have no dodubt I will go to the red camp, as I cannot be “retrained” into a different philosophy!!

  • Alton Robinson

I agree Antonio defund fema. They really do no real good. There is no fed gov organization that can run any thing right. How can anything be ran right when no one in charge has ever ran anything?
If the fed wants to do anything leave the states alone and let them handle the problem on their own, they know more of what needs to be done then some dummy in dc.

    Excellent Article!

“It is how libertarians view freedom that befuddles and confuses, and sometimes even angers, American statists. They’re simply unable to comprehend how libertarians are able to honestly believe that Americans are not free. That’s because in the minds of American statists, it’s obvious that Americans are free. Everyone knows that the United States is a free country.

The reason for this phenomenon is, again, that, while all of us are living within a statist box, most Americans have not been able to break out of the box, mentally speaking, and question and challenge the legitimacy of the statist box itself. Undoubtedly, that is in large part because of the powerful indoctrination that takes place in people’s formative years — a period in which their minds are molded so that they believe that the welfare state is, in fact, freedom. Thus, when a statist encounters a libertarian, who wants to bring freedom to America, the statist becomes confused, befuddled, and even angry because in his mind he’s already free, thanks to the welfare state.”

Were States paid to stop being prepared for things like this?

The US reached a zero population growth in the mid 80’s our leaders increased their yearly appetite for immigration. The legal yearly immigration rate went from 100,000 to 1,000,000. From the years 2000 to 2010 our leader’s yearly appetite for legal immigration grew to 3,000,000. At present levels the US population will swell another 130 million to 442 million by 2040! This is a very conservative estimate. US immigration rate is the sole reason for overpopulation in the US today and tomorrow!

It is irrational to think that any nation can save more than a hand full of people from overpopulated poorer nation. Especially when most refuse to change their life style and blame the Jones’s for their plight.
It is irrational to call mom a Nazi A. hole for giving people a ride back home to keep her home from overpopulation. It is irrational to think that any single payer social program will work best. It is irrational to think that nations can tax its way out of poverty. It is irrational to believe that a power convinced that you have nowhere else to go will do your biding.

No one is going to stand in their way the template to convince people that a rational person is a very sick or stupid SOB must be removed first. And only you can remove yours.

People will not take in grandma, or their disabled neighbor long enough to break the social network of chains that separate us. It does not have to come to that, yet! The working class can be forced to plan for their life without a single payer plan. We must meet with our fellow citizens, listen and share ideas.

A true Conservative and a true Liberal agree on one thing though for different reasons. Any single payer social program is a nutty idea! Now each believes that it’s not so nutty as long as their side is managing it.

We can destroy the power by replacing them with citizens that can be immediately removed by citizens should they grow a greedy bone and never serve for a life time. We must take control ourselves. Please join with us at you might be able to click on my name. This will take you to my link page that links to, and

    • Kate8

nax777 – Why do you suppose we were sold on the idea of zero-population growth? Why would they want to reduce the numbers of American-born, and replace them with foreign born?

Think about it. It wasn’t to help the poor.

    • Patriot66

Yes, I participate in YouCut all the time. You can also request cuts yourself. I suggested eliminating the anchor baby citien status. Last time I suggested eliminating the Federal Tax, and force the Fed to collect funding only from the States. Of course you’d also have to eliminate their ability to get loans from the IMF (Federal reserve). This would take their power away and eliminate pork barrel spending, among many other problems plaguing th US.

Personally, I don’t depend on the government. It is neghbors, friends, and relatives that I depend on for assistance during a disaster. If you wait for the government to come and help you, you will either die or have to wait a very long time. I have seen how the government works and it is appalling.

  • Crashaxe

Stop all FOREIGN AID! and use the billions of dollars to help Americans here in America, there is no reason we should be giving countries like Pakistan, Egypt, Libya and Afghanistan billions of dollars that just go into the pockets of the likes of Hamas and the Muslim brotherhood.
Stop Hillary Clinton and impeach the Impostor calling himself president.

    • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Crashaxe… That would certainly be something that should be considered. If we can’t take care of our own people, why should we take care of other countries? We wouldn’t have to stop all foreign aid, but we could cut back and use those funds for US disasters.

I like the way you think ! Same as me !!!!!

  • Bert Cundle

Am I supposed to be supprized?

    • Alex

No, but you could learn to spell.

  • 45caliber

About the only people FEMA helps are the very rich (because they contribute to both parties in Washington) and the very poor (because they vote Democrat). Those in the middle get no help at all because they should have had insurance to handle the problems.

  • Alex

Nice of Reich Winger Eric Cantor to hold the hurting people of Missouri hostage, insisting that any relief monies be tied to reduction in Green Energy spending!

Where was the Fright Wing outrage when the Bush Crime Family sent your children off to die in an unbelievably ill-considered war against a non-enemy?? Where was the demand that this idiotic act that has so far claimed the lives of over 5000 of our kids be PAID FOR?

You neo-conartists should be ashamed—support a war against a non-enemy at the cost of thousands of our young mercenaries and then deny help to your OWN people in a time of crisis!!

Hey—look what threatening Medicare has cost the GOP—how many Rethuglican Senators will now bail on the Ryan Budget vote, knowing that they will only be stepping into the crosshairs of an angry voting public? LOSERS!!

  • cregets

…You don’t have to worry about wether they got FEMA camps or not, the way they are displacing the population with HAARP weather? Where do you think there gona put them?????… …N flooding farm land purposly, think we “might” have food sortagess…oh, it’s comin…

  • i41

Alex, the only other person with the name of Alex up here is a Russian, who dad is a professor at a college, and believes government knows best. Everyone should feel sorry for peoples’ loss were ever damage happens. I see no problem with cutting the green energy hand outs for this b–l s–t, or the Dept of Energy hand outs that accomplish nothing but waste. but to give it to emergency needs in any damaged communities. It could be done with a simple vote and signed by the jug eared bastard when he gets back from f–king off on another vacation. I notice all you dems still don’t whine about the billions of dollar that has been pissed away in Libya or other pedophile muslim countries. Better pull up some tanker ships and start loading out some free crude to cover the costs of giving funds to the freak perverts. Notice there isn’t one of you marxist/communist government loving freaks mention cutting the Prez or Congress’s salaries and freebie! I have been tru several tonados that wiped out out buildings and farm stead, and the insurance we paid for took care of some of the costs, but we didn’t need massive government tail ups to get back to life. Nobody needs a damn government to be be pissing away my tax money, cowboy up and get to doing something useful, just like when a house fire destroys you home. Always remember the blacks in NO were warned to get out and when water was at their ankles whining like b–ches, to be taken care of by the government pimps.

    • Alex

Many many Christians are pedophiles as well, you intolerant creep.

      • Alex

There is evidence that Jesus may have been a pedophile also, with considerable effort made to hide this over the centuries.

        • 45caliber

The only “evidence” is that Jesus liked children. So do I but it doesn’t mean I want to have sex with one. This is the argument used by pediphiles who want an excuse for what they plan do do anyway.

        • Mike in MI

alex – I hope I can be in a position to see your face when you get your turn to answer for things you’ve said about Jesus Christ. I wonder if you’ll be as brazen and impudent at his demand that you repeat it to HIS face?

        • Ranchman

To go from the topic of this article, to claiming our Lord is a pedophile, is a stretch beyond the wildest socialist’s imagination. But…imagine the freedoms we have here over, say…a muslim dominated country, where you would have had your tongue cut out and would have been stoned to death afterwards. You better enjoy the freedom and liberty you espouse to hate, liberal. It could soon be gone,

        • http://?? Joe H.

Well we KNOW for a fact Muhammed was a pedophile!!!! He married a five year old girl and waited three years to consumate their wedding!! He was ONE SICK BA$TARD!!!!! Now in the news I see muslims worshiping a piece of what MIGHT his beard!!! I’ve seen people go gaga over a lock of Elvis’s hair, but at least he was real and never claimed to be a prophet!!

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Gee Alex, NO ANSWER?????

          • granny mae

            Joe H.
You know what ? Alex may just be a muslim and you may have just hit the nail on the head ! Nice going !

  • Marlene

Obummer wants to give Egypt $2 billion to create jobs there when he can’t create jobs here. It would be better to give that money t o the devasted communities in this country than to waste more money that we don’t have on foreigners. On that point, is it counterfeit funds he wants to give away and will the same funds be worthless for helping Americans? I don’t even want ANT government entity involved in the rebuilding of the storm wracked cities and towns. They’ll mess the job up big time and stuff the money for rebuilding into their own pockets. Guess you can’t guess that I’ve lost all trust in our government.

    • Antonio

It’s a good thing that you have finally lost trust in the government. Now you can strat researching things like the new world order, north american union, rfid chips, fema concentration camps, amero, nasa haarp, nasa blue beam, nasa hipas, and on and on and on LOL have some fun.

      • Marlene

I have researched it and discussed those things with many others. Why do you think I’ve completely lost trust in the government, Antonio? I have too agree with Mike. Helping Egypt is a farce, along with FEMA.

    • Mike in MI

Marlene – The jobs are as terrorists and mullahs to whip up more deviltry to give more suicide spirits nice, warm homes for awhile.

      • granny mae

        A MEN !

  • Tinman

Real American do not look for the nanny state to help them. They chip in together and help themselves. fema is a joke and if you depend on them you might as well die.

    • JC

The scariest words in the world:
“HI, we’re from FEMA and we’re here to help” (step aboard the train please)…

  • azwayne

WHO checks what FEMA does with money it gets? That’s the only thing politicians know, Throw more money, Throw more money. How many hundred mobile homes and travel trailers did they buy last year and this year to be destroyed?

  • Ranchman

Having an organization like FEMA to help people in their time of need is a great idea. The huge concern I have with FEMA is all the reports I have read about what they’re doing behind the backs, or without the knowledge, of citizens. I don’t trust FEMA as far as I can throw the lot of ‘em.

  • Charles

All kind of money for Obams Muslims, But FEMA is broke and there is
no money for America. The joke is on us. Go Obama, show what a true ass you are over in Europe.

  • Charles

Don`t knock Obama. He is going to give Egypt 2 billion to help them
create jobs and if it works he is going to do it here.

    • JC

      This just in:
The G8 (globalist) nations are going to give the Arab “spring nations” 20 Billion…”dollars”.

We used to be able to buy and run dictatorships for just a couple of million a year. Must be inflation.

  • Charles

Where did this man come from? I believe he came out of the dephts
    of HEll.

  • Charles

Who does Obama remind you of. Wasn`t there a man by the name of Nero
back in Rome`s glory days that played the fiddle while Rome burned.
Ya, Ya to the great Obama. He has to be, without doubt, the soriest
person to ever be called President. I know he feels he is way above
being called President and thinks he has the whole world bowing down to him along with a bunch of stupid Americans. May God so help us.

  • Charles

I feel bad for you. What you had to say about our Savior, Jesus Christ
is very scarey on your part.I as a Christian, however, do forgive you.
I do wonder, if you aren`t a Pediphile trying to cover up your own
missgivings. This is what the left trys to do,over and over again.
I and many others on this blog will pray for you, and like I said, I
think most people on this blog will forgive you. I do know, God still
loves you and it`s still not to late for you to find out who he really is.May God be with you!!!
