Lawmakers, LGBT Advocates Meet To Discuss Immigration Reform

July 20, 2010 by

Lawmakers, LGBT Advocates Meet To Discuss Immigration ReformIn the context of the ongoing debate about immigration reform, some lawmakers highlighted a little-discussed aspect of the issue earlier this week, namely the rights of bi-national families.

A group of Congress members, which included the Hispanic Caucus, Asian Pacific American Caucus, Progressive Caucus and the LGBT Equality Caucus, joined advocates for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people on Capitol Hill to call for measures in the future bill that would end discrimination against the LGBT community.

Specifically, they pressed for inclusion of the Uniting American Families Act (UAFA) and the Reuniting Families Act (RFA) in the future package. The two acts allow United States citizens who are a member of the LGBT community to sponsor their foreign-born partners for permanent residency.

“Our out-dated immigration system contains laws that discriminate against LGBT families and hinder our economy, our diversity, and our status as a beacon of hope and liberty to people across the world,” said Congressman Jared Polis (D-Colo.).

According to Immigration Equality, a coalition of organizations that includes Anti-Defamation League, Human Rights Watch and People For the American Way, an estimated 17,000 American children are being raised by LGBT parents in bi-national families, and without proper immigration provisions they risk losing a parent or having to leave their home country.ADNFCR-1961-ID-19894899-ADNFCR

If any of their “partners” are here illegally then they should be sent out of the country. If they are following the proper channels for becoming legal citizens of this country then they shouldn’t have anything to worry about. Why should they get special treatment? Because they are Gay, Lesbian, Transgender or Bisexual and have families? So what, if you are here illegally then you have broken the law…..PERIOD. All these special rights for this and special rights for that is what is making this country weak. Everybody gets an exception to the rule because of some “difference” that they feel is being descriminated against.
How about this… abide by God’s law which is the first and foremost law you should be following! We would be a GREAT nation under GOD’s laws.

    • Christin

      Good Post, Disgusted.

Hey I’m not represented in any of those groups…. why didn’t they invite the rest of us… Where’s the Conservative caucus, the Heterosexual causus, Pro-life caucus, Pro-family causus, the religious (Christian) causcus, the American Constitutional Rights causcus??????????????

The Constitution provides EQUAL RIGHTS under the law for all American citizens… NO SPECIAL FAVORS…. NO ONE ABOVE THE LAW!!!!!!!!!

      • Jerry D

Hey, they can’t have you coming in and making sense. It would destroy their agenda. In addition, they want their “rights” but don’t want you to have yours.

        • 45caliber

It isn’t that they want their rights and not yours. It is that their rights are more important than your rights are. If your rights can be fitted in without bothering their rights, then it is okay to for you to be included. Otherwise, out. It’s just a matter of priorities – and you don’t count.

      • 45caliber

The reason the rest of the groups you mentioned weren’t included is because they don’t necessarily vote in a block for Democrats. Therefore they aren’t important.

      • eddie47d

Christin; Heterosexuals,pro-life caucus,pro-family caucus, conservative caucus have always had their rights in America and for centuries. You say no special favors!?? Then why do you discriminate against gay people or anyone else for that matter. You can hold on to your beliefs without taking someones elses rights away. You make yourself above the law if you say someone who is qualified can’t work in a certain job but you can.You don’t have to like someone and want them to be your personal friend just accept them as people. Equal rights for all Americans has been part of this country since it’s inception. Unfortunately there have been many people blocking those rights for alot of other folks. A long time coming. We use to tell people that they can’t live in certain areas of town, can’t work at certain jobs, or women can’t join the military. Many of our discriminations have gone the way of the pony express. Our diversities make us a better nation rather than a weaker nation. Now as far as coming from another country have your papers ready at the border or airport and wait your turn.

        • Michael J.

You sound like the poster boy for political correctness.

          • Smilee

No! He is the poster boy for the Constituion some thing you do not undertand.

        • Christin

          I agree with Michael.

Ya know Eddie,… I stand with those that stand with God.

We don’t have to make exceptions to the laws because someone is gay. They can follow the laws that ALL THE REST OF US HAVE TO, period.
No special favors. No one above the law. The Constitution and the Amendments are the Rule of Law. Equal Right under the Law for ALL American citizens.

          • eddie47d

There wouldn’t be a need for special laws if everyone was treated equally(as human beings). That’s not reality for everyone and we do discriminate. Gays tried following the laws but were stopped from doing so (housings, civil unions, ect.)You set up roadblocks to their equality and still are. If God doesn’t like their lifestyle then He will punish them in due time. (revenge is his not yours).God also says to treat all fairly.

    • Lucille

      AMEN well spoken

      • http://PersonalLibertyDigest Don

I agree with Lucille and Eddie47d. I am proud to be a gay man. I dont ask for special rights. I just want the rights as anyone else. I dont try to convince anyone to believe in what I believe in. It is like Eddie47d said, God will sort this all out in the end. I hate when anyone uses what they believe in to make judgment on other people. I am not asking you to believe in what I believe in, and really dont care what someone else thinks. I know that I have a Mexican partner and we love each other very much. We dont ask for special treatment. I also wanted to add that I am an American citizen and live in Mexico. The only difference I can see in the two countries is that here in Mexico they stand by there immigration laws and the US dont. US has laws then use them, Mexico does. I live here in Mexico legal. We get all huffy when are believes are against someone else. It will be a long time before things will straighten out. But dont push what you believe in and I wont push mine on you. What is the first thing that happens when we fly into Houston, I an American citizen go to one line and my partner goes to another line. I wonder if one day I go through the other line. Will I have to get out of that line or what if my partner goes through my line? I will have to try that someday.

    • 45caliber

If you are here illegally, then you shouldn’t be here – regardless of what you do or who you do it with. Go back home and get a visa. That’s what my daughter-in-law did.

    • Smilee

Our constitution is a man made set of laws and not God made laws and are enforced by man and not God, God’s law is between you and God and has nothing to do with our Constituion. Many here pretend that is not true but always fail to show any proof of it!!

  • WarriorH

Does this mean I will able to import some hookers from Sweden? I better file some papers to start my own caucus. Please help me come up with a name.

    • 45caliber

      How about Blonde Hooker Haven?

    • JC

How about the “Pimp Coalition”. After all it’s becoming a respectable way to make a living right? ;)

Yet another crazy ponzi sceem the tax-payers will have to foot the bill for. way to go obama….

  • Al Sieber

Who gives a $hit, this is too crazy, and why are we even dealing with it. this is right out of the Marxist handbook.

  • atlas reborn

if they want to get together in one place make it in some other country we have enough idiots here we do not need any more idiots.

    • 45caliber

The real problem is that most countries (like the Mid-East) don’t allow homosexuals, etc. And the LGBT group could provide a lot more votes with a lot more members. So this does both; it allows the gay members of other countries a place to go where they can “shine” and gets the Dems more votes at the same time.

Remings me of the movie, “The Second Civil War”. (“Just bring in XXX members of YYY country and put them all in ZZZ state. That will allow your party to get all the votes from there!”

  • M.L.

    • chipshot

What leaders? We have no “Leaders”, especially in the district of corruption.

They are being pillored by the MSM because they aren’t liberal.

    Another Marxist SCAM on Americans.

When I visit Mexico I have to show a passport, where I will be staying and how long will I be in the country.
Anyone coming into the USA needs to do the same.

I’d LOVE to see us adopt and enforce Mexico’s immigration policy here!

wonder were the white caucus is, we have a black caucus headed by spit on me louis a hispanic caucus head by arrest me gutierrez a botox caucus headed by pelosie ,a homosexual caucus headed by barny franks a blame everthing on bush caucus, head by odumbo,a applaud for amnisty caldron caucus head by the dembocrat in congress, people this is the united states we have are laws that we live by,ever member of the state and federal goverment swore to uphold the constitution and the laws their of under penalty of law,if i were to tell any goverment agency a lie i woud be fined or jailed or both, but are goverment from the president down walk all over the constitution ever day and want more laws to over ride the laws they were not enforced to start with, odumbo is sending 1200 nat guard troops aug 1st to the 1500 mile border with out guns to be in offices 50 miles north of border, now that is really going to help, bush sent 6000 nat guard that did vary little good ,people you can see were obama and 95% of the dembocrats stand open border throw money at it if that don,t work throw more borrowed money at the problum, obama said the republican party was the party of the rich will if that is true why am i not rich

    • 45caliber

But you are rich! You are paying income taxes, aren’t you? That means you are making money by selling part of your life for it. And that must be redistributed to those who are actually free because they don’t want to do that.

  • http://umuu tunji

people we needs to wake up about this sensitve issues and be tolareble because live is too short for intolerable situation we all needs to learning how to acceptance of one or anothers if two peole love each others and decided to getting marry regarlss of their genders of their sexualitys they should be able to have equals access with the traditional marrages and alsol have access in to the goverment programes the reason why i actually agrees with that because same sexs people they actually pays their faire share that means they actually pays their taxs too and that is what suppose to be count their is no special human been on earth im sweat to god

    • chipshot

Somehow it just seems wrong to me personally to describe a “marriage” between two men or two women as rathional. Sick? I could agree it is Sick. Morbid? I could agree it is morbid. But a marriage? Nope, I can’t agree with that. And the thought of a homosexual couple (regardless of how they entered a relationship) is disgusting. I cannot believe any sane person, that gives it any thought at all, could support a homosexual couple being able to force feed their morbid love relationship onto a youth. That is truly SICK!
I for one do not care one ioata what two men or two women or all of them together do behind the closed door of their bedroom. Knock yourselves out.
Just don’t expect me to feel compelled to accept what you are doing by bringing it out into a public forum and forcing me acknowledge it. I don’t buy the “politically correct crap”.
Out of my sight, do what you want. Just don’t expect me to stand by an accept this behavior as normal, when we all know it is not.

      • 45caliber

I don’t care about “civil unions”. That is basically a contract with the government. You agree to work together for basic benefits the government is willing to give.

I care very much about “gay marriage”. That is horning in on my rights as a Christian in a Christian church. It is requiring my church (and me) to say that they aren’t committing a sin after all and God can’t punish them for it. Of course, it also means I will be punished in they are wrong, but then – why should they care?

        • Smilee

What rights of yours as a Christian are being honed on, it appears to me you are honing in on other people’s rights

      • 45caliber

A couple of things I can’t understand. It is wrong for some Morman sects to have husbands with multiple wives. Even if the husband and wives support themselves. Particularly if those wives are below 18.

But it is okay for a Muslim to have multiple wives even if they are as young as 9. And it is okay to pay them welfare for that family as well.

It is wrong for a couple to be on welfare if they are man and wife. The husband is supposed to support the wife. But it is okay for gays to be on welfare even if they call themselves “husband and wife”.

        • eddie47d

So it’s okay for mormons(older sect) to have multiple wives and marry under age girls? Name one Muslim in America that has multiple wives and is on welfare! Name one gay Couple that is on welfare! I think you are blowing smoke.

          • 45caliber

No, what I meant was that if it is illegal for the Mormons to have more than one wife (and it is) then the SAME laws should be used for the Muslims.

And while I don’t know of any Muslim on welfare personally, I do know they are. The same with gays. In fact, a gay couple I’ve just met are trying to get on welfare – and probably should be on it since there isn’t any work available for either of them and they still have bills to pay.

Are you trying to insist that no gays or Muslims are on welfare in the US? Then you, sir, are an idiot. But then, considering your other posts, that isn’t a surprise.

          • JC

No it’s not ok…not even acording to the Mormon Church.
You really do come up with the most ridiculous crap.

          • eddie47d

To JC I think, The breakaway sects (older sect) of Mormons still practice polygamy . That’s why I made the distinction.

          • eddie47d

Caliber; You love the word idiot don’t you? Says allot about you. Since you have met a gay couple how do you feel about them? On both subjects you ASSUMED they were on welfare. That is so typical of a conservative labeling someone without knowing. Lots of people have been on welfarw (whites, blacks, latinos, ect.)So why did you single out gays and Muslims? They make an easier target for you bias or what?

          • JC

eddie you have a point about the older sects of Mormanism.
They have been denounced by the mainstream church though.
However, won’t they be happy when the Kenyan finally gets sharia law into play…then they can not only have multiple wives but they could beat them if they wanted to.

  • Tea Party Tim

    Well, guess what?

    I am a Christian.

I believe the Bible was written for all people, of all times, in all places. It is as relevant today as it was in the beginning. God has not changed and become any more tolerant of sin today than in the beginning and we should not be either.

Ok, so now that the truth has been stated, let those that hate it begin to spew the venom of hate on me as well.

    • chipshot

      Tea Party:
bravo. I agree with you and well said!

    • 45caliber

But according to a poster on another thread, God was created by Man rather than Man created by God.

Therefore (my take on this) if we (mankind) should decide that being gay is not a sin, then GOD must do the same! After all, we designed God so we continue to design Him as we wish. If we wanted to say that it was okay to have sex with 2 year olds, then God MUST agree!

      Isn’t that exciting?

(But me, I’m just an ignorant Christian who believes what the Bible says. What should I know?)

      • eddie47d

Your blowing more smoke Mr fear and smear. 97% of all child molestation cases involve heterosexuals. That’s would include you and the rest of the “normal” people. So it’s not homos who are banging 2 year olds.

        • 45caliber

I don’t believe I mentioned homosexual pedophiles. So I’m not sure why you accused me of it.

          • eddie47d

Your a heck of a spin doctor if you meant something else.

          • JC

eddie, it’s ok that you’re gay. Just keep it to yourself like a respectable human being.

          • eddie47d

JC; No gay here. Do you have to be Jewish to be concerned about Jews or Israel? Do you have to be black to be aware of their problems? ___So forth and so on.

          • JC

Well eddie it’s hard to tell with you. You’re so vehemently against all things American (Constitutional) and the main stream in general
that I assumed you had deeply repressed hatred towards pretty much everybody. Except of course those who represent the breakdown of American values, you seem to support that.

      • Tea Party Tim

Of course you would also have to assume that if man created God, that man must have also created the entire universe. Hmmm..yeah, fat chance, we have trouble creating a government system that can last more than a couple hundred years, much less a solar system or an entire universe.

For those that just absolutely demand proof of God, well read the Bible. You will find that it reads you more accurately than you can read yourself and unless you are extremely hard headed, you will find it very difficult to argue with God.

He made us. He know us by name. He made the entire universe for us. He knows what is best for us. And most of all when we had no way to be reconciled to him, He died for us and took our sin upon himself, so that he could impart His righteouness to us. Blessed be the Lord.

Are you inferring that any who disagree with you are spewing the venom of hate, well you are wrong. God gave us the gift of free will and never called on us to enact mman made laws to enforce his laws. Love thy neigbor as thyself. Would you say you do that when it comes to those with whom have different beliefs and have different circumstances than you do. A very wise pastor once told us in bible study that you are called to witness for God but never to be his judge, jury or executioner. I sure sounds to me from your post that you wish to control them with manmade laws but to do so you must first take away their God given gift of free will. Does my post sound like hate to you???

      • Tea Party Tim

A wise pastor would consider the full counsel of God. A philosopher would ignore it.

        Leviticus 19:15
Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

        I Samuel 2:25
If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them.

        II Chronicles 19:6
And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.

        Ezra 7:25
And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.

        Evil Judges
        Micah 3:11
The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.

It appears from Scripture that God did indeed ordain government.

      • Tea Party Tim

Additionally, as man is free to choose. He is not free not to choose. However, those choices will have consequences and it has been the will of God at numerous times to fulfill His will through men.

Quote: “The two acts allow United States citizens who are a member of the LGBT community to sponsor their foreign-born partners for permanent residency.” End of Quote

I have no problem with that!!! If they would like to “sponsor” their foreign-born partner that is fine with me. That would/should mean the partner and/ or future off spring that cometh from “said” partner would have no right to welfare benefits, freehealth care etc… They should be issued a SS# and live and pay taxes as all American citizens do. If they divorce or disolve partnership with the sponsor then the sponsor should still be liable for their upkeep. NOT the rest of the US citizens.

    • 45caliber

Not only that, they should go through the LEGAL procedure to get their foreign born partner here instead of helping them sneak into the country and then demand the government make them legal.

My grand Parrents and Great Grand Parrents came from Finland and they became American Citizens by going through the proper channels on the existing laws in place. There is no Racizm There, According to them. They simply had to make an Effort to become a citizen. NO Cheese and Wine. By doing the following.
    1. Learn english
    2. Learn the laws of the land in basic principals.
    3. Know what it says at the bottom of the Statue of Liberty.
    4. Know the name of the Capital City of our country.
    5. Know what the Bill of Rights say.
    6. Know the Opening paragraph of the Decloration of Independence
    7. Know who signed the Constitution of the United States.
    8. Know what the flag of our country was about and what it represented.
    9. Know the names of every state in the United States.
    10. Take an Oath to the United States of America!
    11. Get a job!
    12. Add to this country and Not Take from It.
    13. Know the Real Reason for Seperation of Church and State was about.
    As Follows:
Our Forefathers saw the Influence the Church of England had on the England, so they stipulated the Seperation of Church and State so that no one Single Church could have Influence over the People and the Government of the United States. Such as the Roman Catholic Church did in England and through-out Europe…
Our forefathers made it quite clear that this Country, The Constitution, and the Rights of all Mankind were Endowed by Our Creater ( meaning GOD) with the Right to Life , Liberty, and The pursuite of happiness. And Spelled those rights Out for Everyone in the Constitution. All anyone has to do is read the Writings and Letters, Autobiography’s by our forefathers. And the Constitution Itself. They all made it Quite Clear that our Country was a Christian Nation Inspired By God…. Even though some of our forefathers may not have believed in god, they all agreed that the Bible was the Basis for the Constitution, and the Best Chance for the Future of this Nation, the People, and the Rest of all Mankind. The Morals And Principals of the bible was the inspiration behind all we know…. Anything anyone has to say other than what the Made Clear Then, As it Is Now, Is a Distortion of the Truth…. With that The Truth shall Set us Free. Not Enslave us……

Unfortunately not many educated in our schools during the past 30 years or so, know much at all about the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, or any of the founding fathers.
One prominent citizen who ran for public office not so long ago actually claimed to have visited 56 states. Of course it was later discovered he never attended a U.S. school. In fact, he was not even an American.

      • 45caliber

        57 states.

        • Smilee

Slip of the tongue in both cases, I’m sure both know there is only 50 states, I know Obama does so your post is nothing more than BS

    • 45caliber

One mistake in what you said. Otherwise I agree.

The writers of the Constitution did NOT stipulate a seperation of church and state. They stated that the STATE CANNOT DECIDE WHAT RELIGION WE CAN WORSHIP. Period. That means that any church member can become a politician and pass what legislation is required but cannot make any laws that favor one religion over another – like they are doing now with the Islam religion. As that politician, you could be as religious as you wished without condemnation.

      • Smilee

And you cannot enact laws that are not constituional whatever your religion, also the courts have not interpeted it as you have, remember no prayers in school as a school function or the ten commandments hanging on the wall in court houses etc. as the courts have found in violation of the first ammendment, your reading of the first ammendment without taking into consideration what the courts over the years have ruled gives a distorted interpetation and does nothong more that reveal your biases.

      • Smilee

Ahh..and this would mean that you would debate original intent with revisionist. Revisionist that do not reply upon the process that was originally intended I might add that the Constitution be modified only by ammendment through the legislative branch and not the courts.

    • 45caliber

You are correct. In fact, many of them do NOT even want to be an American citizen, despite what the liberals try to insist. They want to come here, make enough money to retire in their home country, and then go back there to take things easy.

The Mexicans believe that $100,000 in an American border bank is enough. They would get paid on the interest with American dollars – which means the more their peso devaluates, the richer they are. They can buy a villa and hire a maid/cook and gardener to keep things okay. And they would never have to work again!

And to help them do this (according to the Corpus Christi Caller some years back) they can work and draw welfare at the same time with TWO sets of ID papers … at about $1500 a pop. Three sets are even better. Then they can alternate IDs at work through the year so at the end of the year they can file two (or more) tax returns, all showing at least half the year on welfare. So they not only get all their income tax back but they can also get MORE! And that can go into the bank too. With any luck, they can have $100,000 saved up in 7 years or less.

You can’t retire on $100,000 here so why would anyone want to stay here? Go home to your family and retire.

  • Doris Lauter

I always wondered how a Mexican can come here broke, and in a couple of years, open a business. I thought that they were terrific savers, or pushing drugs. The last letter explains that.

Metallica AND the BSO need to be sued because they discriminate against accordian and kazoo players….. MENSA needs to be sued because they discriminate against retards….. Klan members are under-represented at the NAACP and deserve a voice. Vive l’diversitee?? I wish they’d just stop nickel and diming us to death and get the won-tons to propose/sponsor a bill outlawing “The right of association”! That IS what they’re after isn’t it??

    God help this country!!

Darn! You are right! I never thought of this. Yes, I’d say that every team in the NBA should have at least one midget on the court every moment. As well as at least one female, one gay, one hermaphrodite, and one Scandanavian. Oops, so sorry college boys. No room for really good players any more.

Oh, the NAACP did have a KKK member, at least for a time. He was the President of the NAACP and a lawyer who was hired to rep the KKK as well. I think the NAACP got a little upset when it came out though, and they fired him. That is worth a suit right there!

First we should halt ALL immigration except for those who are in the system now trying to immigrate the legal way. We need to clean house before we do anything else. Second, the 14th amendment states that anyone who is born in this country, and here is the kicker, and is subject to the jurisdiction thereof, is a citizen. Now any illegal who is here is NOT subject to our jurisdiction, but is subject to the jurisdiction where he/she came from. Therefore babies born in this country with illegal parents are also illegal. How they automatically became citizens is beyond me. These so called anchor babies should not be allowed to remain in this country so that they can bring the whole family in at a later time. I am not 100% sure but I don’t know of any other country that makes an automatic citizen out of someone just being born there. And lastly what would happen to someone if they illegally entered Mexico? Maybe we should give the illegals a dose of Mexican medicine.

What is the point of this site, anyway? You all reinforce one anothers bigotry, day in, day out, with lies, bullsh!t, distortions, and precious few, if ANY, facts. I am appalled by the level of hatred you demonstrate in your comments. That is NOT the American way. (Or is it? Come to think of it, we have a pretty long history of hatred and bigotry, and it continues right here.) The sad part is that most of you are doing nothing to improve your minds or expand your horizons. Just the daily rant. And when all else fails, you drag God into the equation. Cheap shots. But, hey, they say ignorance is bliss, so you all must be freaking happy as clams.

I have been tracing my family history for years now. The other day I was on the Ellis Island website “flipping” through the pages of a ship manifest. These pages looked different. They were a list of all the people who were being detained. I took a closer look, expecting to find all kinds of strange diseases as being the reason, but 90% of those not being allowed to disembark had this notation: “No $”
Imagine spending your last dime to leave your country, you finally get here, and you are turned away.

It SHOULD require some personal effort to become a U.S. citizen – it’s the only way to be sure they will appreciate it.

After reading all of the above comments what comes to my mind is the fact that this country is headed for a s#$& storm. It is not gay Americans that will bring this counrty to her knees, it will be the illegal invading hoardes. Statistics show that gays and lesbians have an above average level of education, there by they make more money and pay more taxes. Though they pay above average taxes(because they have to file single) they actually use less tax funded services. The education statistics hold true not only for gay American’s but for gays and lesbians world wide. Compare that with the burden illegals place upon our social services and what becomes clear is that gay/lesbian Americans add economic value to our nation. Allowing same sex partners a form of govt. recognition and thus an avenue for “legal” immigration will strengthen this nation economically.

If your religious beliefs cause you to disapprove of gays, then keep your personal opinions to yourself, just as you ask gays to keep their private lives to themselves.

What we as Americans must decide is if we are going to allow infighting over our different religious beliefs be the cause of our Nation’s destruction? The illegal populations want us to fight against each other, and while we do they will take over our country. Let us not fall into that trap. We each must decide what is more important, fighting fellow Americans or fighting against the invading hoardes? For this very proud gay American (I also consider myself a Christian-save your response arguements for another time) I would rather wait for a time in the future, when my fellow countrymen might learn to understand my life, to gain recognition for my family, than loose my counrty to a silent invasion. Like a family which fights amoungst themselves, we better stand united against outside forces or our family will be destroyed. The Democrats love to see the Conservatives pick a fight with the gays. They’ll keep us distracted while they push through amnesty.

Would you rather have a respectful gay couple as neighbors or would you rather live next to a home filled with 5 Mexican families on welfare popping out anchor babies?

Why is the government looking to bring all these illegal aliens over when us Americans can not even find jobs! We need to deport all of the illegals back home and protect our borders better than thery are now. I think Arizona did a great job by inforcing their law and I also think that other states should do the same. Alot of these illegal aliens are on state assitance that most of us US citizens get denied or have a very hard time getting! If the government wants to give all the illegals amnesty then why not give the criminals in jail amnesty too. The government is basically saying that it is ok to break the law and we will also reward you for breaking our laws by coming to the US illegally. Now don’t get me wrong I am not at all for the criminals in jail to have any rights and they deserve to pay for their crime but please tell me the difference here?!?!?!?
