Kid Rock To Sean Penn: ‘Suck It, Commie’

October 15, 2012 by

Kid Rock To Sean Penn: ‘Suck It, Commie’

With a vulgar and bizarre public service announcement posted to YouTube last week, musician and noted right-leaner Kid Rock joined lefty actor Sean Penn to send a message to America: Don’t let politics divide us.

“Don’t let politics divide us,” the short film’s tagline reads. “Thinking differently is what made this country great.”

The video starts out with the two getting into a confrontation at a bar, as Rock’s “Born Free” performance at a Mitt Romney event is playing on the television. The two insult one another feverishly and quite vulgarly until a breaking news report plays on the television in the background telling of troop deaths in the Mideast. The grim news pulls the two political opposites together, and they embark on a political stereotype-laden journey to better understand one another’s political views.

“It reminds us that what really matters is that we’re all Americans, with diverse thoughts, opinions and stances on issues,” the video’s YouTube description reads. “We are millions of unique, individual parts, the sum of which comprise a whole that is the shining beacon of freedom throughout the world.”

The video may be of dubious political value during an election season that many Americans believe will determine the direction of the Nation in coming decades, but it serves well to point out the often ridiculous stereotypes that the politically observant on both sides often foist upon their opposition.

Watch the video below, but be warned it contains some serious vulgarity.

    Morons.

    • Gordon

TWO vulgar morons acting like themselves. #1 I wouldn’t watch this if you paid me… #2 this newsletter/website is getting pretty desperate.

      • Nadzieja Batki

Why are you frentic that two of your own kind are putting on a show?
There is nothing wrong with this website or the video it is showing. It points out what is out there whether it is bad or good.

      • keimh3regpeh2umeg

I still like plenty of the stories. But you are right this is not one. I didn’t watch the vid either. I bet if I gave you a hundred dollars you’d watch it though. Unless you’re one of those millionaires and billionaires Obama and Biden like to talk about.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=558588562 Jim Smith

If you didnt watch the video shut the hell up or go start your own website, no one wants to here your opinion or comments on matters that arent about the topic. All youre doing is representing one of the two characters in the film, which is what its about in the first place – rambling ignorants

    • DINA

I just hope Kid Rock can make Sean Penn understand what FREEDOM means & what is going on in this country!!!!

      • keimh3regpeh2umeg

That would be nice, too bad Sean Penn’s so stupid

      • steve o

kid rock is a suck ass he thinks he is some kind of super star,he should sit back and try to rite a song about a want abe rap punk and play the role that only he can do and wish he was back in the 90″ cut your hair and quite trying to be mister cool dude you r done.

    • Jason Gaylor

And many of you commenting here are the problem because you willingly believe the insults seen in this commercial. I will tell you exactly what Kid Rock and Sean Penn are doing in this commercial. The insults they are throwing at each other are obvious stereotypes that are consistently pandered out by both the far right and far left media. They are saying both Liberals and Conservatives are not this simple and one-dimensional. We are more complex and certainly many of those stereotypes are indeed untrue. If you are listening to far right or far left media, then it is YOU who are getting fooled. Because those people only care about money and ratings anyway. They want to keep the Country divided. It’s good for business. And they do so by perpetuating these inane stereotypes that have ultimately no truth in reality.

I mean I lean left. I listen to what Kid Rock says here about Liberals and it certainly doesn’t describe me in the least. I would never eat Tofu or drive a Prius! I would never even think about burning the flag(I love it and know what it represents). Plus, I’m not a fan of Big Government or Government assistance(but I’m smart enough to understand why some would need it. Can’t make a livable wage?!). And that’s exactly the message of this ad/commercial, folks. Many of us are being indoctrinated and separated by far right and far left entertainment media outlets that have nothing to do with real news and the truth. Wake up and smell the coffee. You are being manipulated. Listen to the words of George Carlin, Bill Hicks, and Noam Chomsky if you want the truth with no BS. Or at least listen to someone that doesn’t have to resort to stereotypical insults. Once they do that, it shows their intellect and their motives. We can do so much better.

      • keimh3regpeh2umeg

I didn’t watch the video. Nor do I care to. I know from the start, from past experience that both of these men are losers, plain and simple. We are being divided by the powers that be, who happen to be neither of the right nor the left. They have no ideology, just a lust for power.

      • DaveH

You can have whatever opinions you want — Just as long as they don’t involve my body and my property.

  • Alex

Sean Penn would make a much better president that Kid Rock. Penn would make a much better president than Mitt Romney.

    • pete0097

How can you make such a statement. Neither have any clue on how to run anything except barely their lives. They have no diplomatic experience, no budgetary experience, have never run a business. Come to think about it, those are obamas discrepancies as well.

      • Robert Smith

Hmmmm, brings to mind Ronald Reagan who didn’t have much experience before he started into politics.

        Rob

      • T. Jefferson

Either one of the three would be better than obama.

      • kategray

Romney has run a business, look ar his bio. putz

      • Vigilant

“They have no diplomatic experience, no budgetary experience, have never run a business. Come to think about it, those are obamas discrepancies as well.”

I beg to disagree. Obama now has budgetary and diplomatic experience. That is the problem.

      • Vigilant

Rob says, “Hmmmm, brings to mind Ronald Reagan who didn’t have much experience before he started into politics.”

And he turned into the greatest president of the 20th century. Sometimes it takes a persuasive acting ability, combined with a love of our founding principles and reliance on domestic and international experts, to get a nation out of the “malaise” that carter whined about.

No matter what you think of Reagan, who had his drawbacks as do all presidents, he ended the cold war and put the nation on a path to the longest sustained period of prosperity in our history.

Even the true liberals have reluctantly come around to this belated acknowledgement. The blind extreme left will never admit to Reagan’s success, which became America’s success. Has his policies remained in place, we would not be in the quagmire we have today, and both Dems and Repubs are responsible for that.

      • http://www.rudylogos.com Rudy

peteoo97: To say that Sean Penn would make a better president than Romney is a fantasmagorical outrage! That’s like saying that the notorious Pee Wee could beat Muhammad Ali in a boxing match! Good grief! Get some balance in your thinking man! Sean Penn can’t think straight in anything, much less in the role as president! I suggest you rethink your assessment and apologize to Sean Penn and Romney for your mindless comment!

      • http://none Claire

Romney knows how to run a business alright–he bought companies, shut them down, laid off employees and sent the work to China. Check it out.
From what I gather, this is what he did in Freeport, Illinois. I also hear he didn’t want to release his tax returns because they show his involvement with Bain.

    • momo

Sean Penn, president, what laugh. Alex, you and Penn ought to take the next plane to Venezuela and visit Penn’s buddy Hugo Chavez. See if you can stay!

    • actual socialist

      So would a monkey

      • Vigilant

Self recognition and effacement will get you nowhere.

      • http://none Claire

Seems to me that Kid Rock and Sean Penn are doing nothing more thatn tooting their own horn for their 15 minutes of “fame.” I am not impressed.

    • http://yahoo.com bobdavidson

      You are total moron

    • Art

      They are both commires

    • Surly Curmudgen

With few exceptions, and Penn is not one, actors are empty shells with little or no content of character and an original thought never crossed their mind. Writers and directors take these empty shells and fill them with the words and personality they are looking for with the intention of making money.

Most actors spend their lives being patted on the back and lauded as being smart, good looking and knowing everything in an attempt to keep them happy and productive and they start believing it. Then comes the media with an agenda, puts words in their mouth, gives them a pat on the back, effusively lauds them and props them in front of a camera where they perform like a puppet.

Actors should receive no more respect than they did in Shakespeare’s day when viewed as little more than common street walkers.

      • Jack Taylor

        Like Reagan?

    • tncdel

Your idea of “better” isn’t at all better for America or in line with what the founders of our nation had in mind. What you want, apparently, is to bring our nation down.

    • Jan

Are you a communist too? Why don’t you guys move to Russia, or Cuba or Venezuela?

Trying to see things from the ‘other perspective’ is what has gotten us in this mess. If you don’t know WHAT you stand for…You’ll FALL for anything!! This is just a couple of actors, trying to help us all to get that feely…touchy…fuzzy, feel good feeling. There isn’t too much to FEEL GOOD about right now.

Our economy has gone from being ‘in the toilet’ to now ‘in the sewer’. Our Constitutional Freedoms are all but gone. People used to travel to America to get the best medical help…now, they can just stay home and save the travel expense because they would have to stand in line for an appointment…85% of the Dr’s are saying they are going to either retire or enter a different profession. Business isn’t expanding or hiring right now…except for temporary ‘Holiday’ help. Obamacare will break them and they may as well close down and just go retire on a beach. E
verything they’ve worked their whole lives for will soon be striped away with crippling taxes….why bother….

Sharia Law is infilterating our Judicial System. THEIR ‘Rights’ are upheld while American Citizens’ Rights are trampled upon.

This Rock/Penn movie was NOT something I wanted to see at this moment in time…it just underscored what is WRONG with America. We KNOW our troops are fighting and dying…but, for THIS??? Seriously…?? GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

    • eddie47d

The video proved its point that there are many contentious issues in our society. Yet there is a stronger bond in keeping our country united. We have all become professional name callers and make many attempt in keep these issues dividing us instead of accepting those differences. .

    • actual socialist

This blatent fear mongering was brought to you by inbred xenophobes united hating anyone different thn them for over three-hundred years

      • Vigilant

Ah, the usual schoolyard wisdom of the leftist, long on ad hominems and short on intelligence. Try something different and actually attempt to argue on an objective basis if you expect to be taken seriously.

      • Nadzieja Batki

But your Socialist/Dems/Leftist gang has been fear mongering for how many aeons. Finally the human predators are being called out for what they are and you don’t like to be called out. So you play coy.

      • eddie47d

The left and right were both called out Nadzieja but I wouldn’t expect you to notice that. Sam Rolley’s efforts went to waste again and you learned nothing!

    • TML

“Trying to see things from the ‘other perspective’ is what has gotten us in this mess. If you don’t know WHAT you stand for…You’ll FALL for anything!!”

I wouldn’t think it’s about trying to see things from the ‘other perspective’… that is built into the Constitution. If you stand for the Constitution, and the principles of its founding, then everything else will fall into place.

  • Butch

I agree w/ the premise of not letting politics divide us but this ad doesn’t address the fact that BOTH parties are NOT working in the best interests of the people. If they were, Congress wouldn’t get outrageous salaries, benefits, kickbacks and LIFETIME salaries and healthcare COURTESY OF THE TAXPAYER. The Founding Fathers NEVER intended for politicians to be ‘the elite” but thats whats happened. Harry Reid lives in an extravagant hotel, on the taxpayer’s dime and his net worth has increased to $8 million. Hes just a drop in an ocean of corruption.

    • ssgrick

Harry is pretty amazing isn’t he? He went from only having a net worth of his Senatorial Salary when he got elected to now having a net worth of over 8 million dollars. And it was all on land deals that mysteriously quadrupled in value right after he bought the real estate. Sort of like Pelosi and Kerry and (fill in a democrats name here). Most repubs come into office well off, the dems get rich while in govt, taking other peoples money. It’s how the whole wealth redistribution thing works. The govt at the behest of the democrats STEAL your money then turn around and pull a large chunk out for themselves after which the remainder is split among; Unions, Welfare Queens, Communist Groups with an axe to grind such as the enviro wackos, wind and solar goof-balls, the Algore global warming idiot brigade.

      • http://yahoo.com bobdavidson

        Well stated .

    • eddie47d

ssgrick is another hot headed Conservative wacko. Welfare Queens? I haven’t heard that particular term in years and even when it was in vogue (Reagan) they were far and few between.

  • Dead Zero

Anyone, has more experience than Obummer did when he took office, any President that takes office must surround himself with people who are in the know about all world affairs and then make the best decision for the country and the people, that is not what is happening here and has not for a long time.

Penn’s a no good rotten Commie and so were his parents. If they are so unhappy living here we need to show them the way out……

  • Rob

    Spicoli is A COMMUNIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Howard

This isn’t a joking matter, and both of these guys are really on the same side. Penn is a commie, and Rock is a Rino. Neither of them have the best interests of the USA at heart. For that matter, the whole government stinks to high heaven. It is ran by special interest groups who can pay the most under the table to get what they want. It is now and has been for sometime, government by the government for the government. We all comprise the cash cow for the elites to ride on.

  • tim

What a couple of doushe bags. And penn is a commie

  • AK Tom

Used to be a fan of Sean Penn when I was younger. He was good as Jeff Spicoli in Fast times at Ridgemont High. Pretty much lost all respect for him after he went down to Venezuela and hung out with Hugo Chavez. Sean Penn=USEFUL IDIOT!

    • actual socialist

Tell me tommy how much do you know about chaverzs presidentsy?

      • Vigilant

“Tell me tommy [sic] how much do you know about chaverzs [sic] presidentsy [sic]?

No doubt, he knows more about it than you know about the English language. Of course, I would have expected that a socialist would comfortably reside within the lower quartile of the IQ bell curve.

    • ssgrick

Boy are you behind the fast ball on Penn! I remember seeing that God Awful movie too and I was able to determine just by watching it that the character Penn played may as well have been him in real life. Nothing but a completely BURNT OUT dope head hippie who couldn’t find his a ss with both hands. Now in his later years he’s taken that same ignorance and marches forward with it only now he WEARS his a ss for a hat. While speaking from the sphincter muscle which is located in his hat.

  • Palin16

Sean Penn went from being married to Madonna to playing a gay guy (Harvey Milk). Yuck! Too bad he didn’t really get the needle in Dead Man Walking.

  • Chris

Right you are Howard. Now the question is: “HOW” do we take it all back? “HOW” do we get rid of the corruption to once again make it “by, of, and for the PEOPLE” since it appears it does not matter how one votes anymore. One thing that needs to be done is get rid of PACS/special interests…….they should be illegal. Let those running for President (or congress) campaign and debate from a website and list what they stand for/intend to do so it can be printed by people to give to those they know who don’t have computers……..that’s one way the little guy who is “a good person” who wants to do right by the people and who is “intelligent” and have “common sense” enough to run for congress and president can get a shot at the position……and those websites should enable people to submit questions that would be answered ON the website by those running. Look at all the money it would save…….they wouldn’t have to put money out running all around the country campaigning, TAXPAYERS wouldn’t have to pay for the costs involved in a current President campaigning for another 4 years like lodging, bodyguards, city police, cleanup from crowds, etc. Plus, EVERYONE does not go to see those running anyway because they are “working” or whatever…..so those who can’t attend can see it all on the computer. One does not need to be a lawyer to run…….those in office have lawyers at their disposal to help get their job done.

    • http://www.facebook.com/harleyfart David G. Stevens

Ok, Chris. Let’s just assume you get your ‘virtual world’ campaign. What would be in place to prevent a ‘virutal candidate’? Anyone here remember that Max Headroom thing? Sorry, pal, but I really just don’t see your scenario working.

  • Waldomountainman

Penn like so many other Hollywood elites who were discovered early by some promoter and their lives managed for them from then on and have had everything handed to them since, have no clue what it is like to really work for a living and provide for a family.
Anyone who believes men or women should marry each other and have the same rights as those who have the proper tools given to them by God to have sex with each other are sick to begin with and it does not suprise me they would support Obama.

  • Lee

Their vocabulary is so limited that they couldn’t effectively communicate with others. So they don’t influence me on anything.

    • http://www.facebook.com/gmakdad George Makdad

What? You think our polititicians have clean langauge in private? It was acting. A little exaggerated but very similar to the tone of our current political climate and probably not meant to sway an old stick in the mud like you.

  • TML

I think the video actually does a good job of pointing out that childish “you did it – no, you did it” cliche seen every day between the two establishment parties; liberals and religious conservatives, while pointing to the idea that foreign policy should be on the top of everyone’s list, as it must be fixed first.

I can’t see how anyone would expect to fix the problems within their own house, while trying to fix them in everyone else’s. Is an imperialist foreign policy, and perpetrual wartime conditions that eat away at personal liberties, any better than to socialist policies (which may even seem to be so extreme due to the latter)… ? Both require the Federal Reserve.

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.” – Thomas Jefferson

Every distraction is away from these bottom-line issues.

  • Wil

But they both still miss the point. It’s not just politics,it’s also race, class, gender, religion, and any and everything else people can be divided on, hyped by ‘both’ parties, sold out to the same agenda. People seem to forget that ‘divide and conquer’ is the oldest strategy in the book. And no,I’m not a Paul supporter, just another aware individual that trusts nothing in the current system.

  • http://none Claire

Bruce Springsteen is campaigning for Obama in Ohio and Iowa–on Thursday. “The Boss” is one of my favorites, always has been.

  • jld

These are a couple of actors feeding the sheeple the standard fare. THIS WAR IS ABOUT FREEDOM (Wipe a tear, and hugs all around. Yes, war brings us closer; doncha know. Thank goodness for war to bring our country together.)!

How about we vote for the one candidate who will hopefully be on the ballot for all 50 states (or at least 46 of them) and actually wants to BRING OUR TROOPS HOME AND GIVE US OUR PERSONAL LIBERTIES BACK?

Oh, but that would mean bucking the almighty two-party system.

    GARY JOHNSON 2012!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/kenneth.oliver.397 Kenneth Oliver

This makes no sense. A constitutionalist and leftist can NOT agree on what is right for America. Also, I’ve not met a more hateful person than an active liberal against a conservative…… aside from a deranged individual, maybe! As a matter of fact, if this country is ultimately taken over by liberals, it can no longer be referred to as America. America will be dead.

    • alpha-lemming

      Kudos….!!!!
Stated another way, Socialism is NOT an acceptable cross-the-ailse, can’t we all just get along, bipartisan compromise between the Constitutionalists and the Communists.

    • deerinwater

” As a matter of fact, if this country is ultimately taken over by liberals, it can no longer be referred to as America. America will be dead.”

Is that a decree or your opinion?

It is true, ~ that most people do not display dysfunctional antisocial behavior openly and act offended if they can’t always get their way.

  • Deerinwater

I enjoy the talent and skills both of these men have to offer, Penn is the serious monster of the two. While I didn’t watch the piece ~ as the debates are on and feel I understand the message of their work ~ in which I completely agree. The division stops at the waters edge.
