Good for him! There are plenty of reasons other than Jane Fonda though not to watch this propagandist piece of tripe. It’s just another example of liberal Hollywood looking to defame someone they abhor. Pitiful really…..

    • MLSVW1

      THANK YOU

      • Alan

You’re welcome. We have to tell it like it is my friend lest good names be left ridden roughshod over. Have a wonderful weekend! :)

  • Bob Celeste

God bless you Ike, if all vets, small as our numbers are, had your guts Fonda and her ilk would be in jail.

  • dan

IF Hanoi Jane gets to heaven, I hope there are 72 Viet Nam Vets waiting for her

    • rivahmitch

Semper Fi! Fonda’s only demonstrated value is as a human spittoon.

    • isabel sanchez

MY God hear you ! !… I was in the army at this time and
she made all of us sick ! ! !

  • Dennis Patrick

Can you believe that commie-sympathizer Nancy Reagan loves the movie! I guess she’s “Fonda Jane.”

    • Barakolips

Can you communicate in modern American English and tell me what the hell you just said?

      • ChiefBoring

Timbo, Mr. Patrick ezpressed surprise that nancy Reagan liked the film, “Butler”, and considers that perhaps it’s because Ms. Reagan is “fond” of Ms. Fonda. It is a pun, sir. You may groan here.

      • NObama_Holder_Reid_Pelosi_2012

Jane Fonda in the late 60’s and 70’s was a strong advocate of socialism and communism. Patrick is suggesting that Nancy Reagan is a commie sympathizer by supporting Fonda in this movie.

  • rivahmitch

Well done, Ike! Thanks from an old ‘Nam vet (68-69)! Semper Fi!

  • Dcp5674

Good for you Ike. First, thank you for your service. My father was in Korea. Second, thank you for stating what many of us feel. Hanoi Jane should be branded a traitor, and I, as well as many others will never pay to see her in any movie, play, whatever. You are a true American, Ike, and good luck with the rest of your life

    • eganstew3

Not only did she defame our men, but she is defame our babies with her support of Planned Parent.

  • Over21

Even though what Ike is saying is true, I can’t help but point out that Jane Fonda was and still is just a citizen; she is not in politics.

I wouldn’t watch the “Butler” because Oprah Winfrey is in it nor do I care about the movie that keeps Blacks feeling sorry for themselves. I have never seen previews of the movie, but I still wouldn’t watch it.

    • NObama_Holder_Reid_Pelosi_2012

You said “I can’t help but point out that Jane Fonda was and still is just a citizen; she is not in politics.”

True, she was and unfortunately still is just a citizen, but to say “she is not in Politics” implies you know absolutely nothing about who Hanoi Jane (Jane Fonda) really is.

Following is an excerpt of Jane Fonda’s days in N. Vietnam and some
broadcast and speeches she did, followed with one of many links you can read about simply search “Hanoi Jane”. I encourage you to take a few moments and inform yourself who she really is before you label her as “just a citizen and not in politics.

Background of Jane Fonda’s Anti-War Activities

While American Soldiers were fighting and dying in the Vietnam War,
Jane Fonda, the daughter of Henry Fonda, was using her money and
influence at colleges and universities to gather support to advocate
communism and encourage rebellion and anarchy against the United States Government.

On November 21, 1970 she told a University of Michigan audience
of some two thousand students, “If you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would some day become communist.” At Duke University in North Carolina she repeated what she had said in Michigan, adding “I, a socialist, think that we should strive toward a socialist society, all the way to communism. ”
      Washington Times July 7, 2000

Hanoi Jane was very much into politics at that time. In todays
terminology she would be labeled a radical extremist and radical
activist. In those days she was seeking fame and notoriety by riding the coat tails of her late father “Henry Fonda” as a reporter and public
speaker who traveled around to multiple Universities advocating and
      promoting Socialism and Communism.

one of Jane Fonda’s actions when she went to Vietnam and placed
Americans soldiers life in danger by selling them out, so to speak? She was and is Anti-American and was an activist and advocate for communism through socialism. During the Vietnam war, she went to North Vietnam (enemy at that time) and played with the enemy while denouncing America.
Hence her nick name Hanoi Jane. She is as much if not more of a
nincompoop as Ted Turner is. (Her now ex-husband) in which I encourage you to inform yourself of his outlook upon American and his beliefs.

My guess is you are probably to young to know Jane Fonda’s involvement with the Vietnam war and likely know Jane Fonda by her fitness videos or a few movies she was in, But if you knew what she did to American soldiers and advocating that America should become a communist nation, I highly doubt you would maintain your comment that “she was and is just a citizen and not in politics”.

Upon learning what she said and believed in during the late 60’s and early 70’s. Care to retract your comment that “she was and is “just” a citizen and “not into politics””.

Thanks for the education. My husband was in Viet Nam for one year. I didn’t see any of this when I was young and only heard about it when I was quite a few years older but didn’t do any research on the subject. Thanks, again.

      • Quester55

I guess according to ” over21?”, the cold war years never happened & those Communist Citizens, that where gunned down in their attempts to,” LEAVE THE U.S.S.R.” WERE SHOT DEAD, just for the fun of it?? So tell us over21, If Communism is such a good thing, why are you still here? shouldn’t you be living in Cuba or China, 2 of the last ” Holdout Countries Left,”, of the Communist nations??

    • Robert Messmer

You are correct that she is not in politics in the sense that she has never been able to get enough support to be elected to any office. However she has been a long time activist in many causes to the detriment of our society. Rightly or wrongly (yes I do believe we had no business in Vietnam) we were at war with North Vietnam at the time she chose to go and make radio speeches condemning the US and the troops. Tokyo Rose served approximately 27 years in prison for doing the same thing, and no one actually knew who she was. Seems there were several at the time. Hanoi Jane however we do know. So political or no, an American citizen goes to enemy country and does anti-American propaganda broadcasts during war, she should still be in jail or shot as a traitor. She also praised the Black Panthers and raised money for various organisations of socialistic/communistic leanings and ends.

  • Barrustio

    amen bro

  • Dmac74

Good for him!!!!!! He owns the theater so it is his discretion to show what he sees fit.

    • Over21

That’s not a very good argument since people who own flower shops are told they have to do flower arrangements for homosexual weddings or lose their license.

      • Over21

Now… why would I get a “down” vote on that statement? It is true.

        • CJ

You get a down vote because you tried to tie two things that have no connection. Reserve the right to refuse service to whoever you wish when you own the place.

        • Motov

Probably because you are now a “racist” for pointing out a liberal law.

      • Dmac74

And that is so stupid. I wonder what ever happened to We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone? Guess if someone is drunk you have to serve them if they order. The owner/operators of a business are loosing their rights. To freeeeeking much gov’t and that so called politically correct BS.

      • ChuckS123

The theater owner and the flower shop owner should both have the right to run their businesses the way they want to. The theater owner doesn’t have as many bad laws to contend with.

      • Quester55

To bad the Mere Threat of Loosing your License can cause some People Reject their own Standards & Integrity. & as of yet, I’ve never heard of a Court Case Tried on those Grounds!

      • Robert Messmer

If that happened it was probably in CA. Pretty much rest of the country still has the right to refuse service. Besides unless it could be proven that the refusal was based on the sexual basis they (shop owners) would be safe.

      • Quester55

Yet I’ve never heard of any of those shop owner’s Fight for their rights! Most of them cave into the threats of a lawsuit! Seems like no one has a backbone these days. Myself, I would have used Poison Ivy or Oak, as a base for the arrangements, “Buyer Beware”.

  • Richard Wright

Jane Fonda used her movie fame to make a statement that should never have been allowed. Thanks to her, there were reports of more brutality on our servicemen. If it were up to me , she would not have that citizen status. Did she not organize and deliver aid and comfort to an enemy of the United States? She is called “HANOI JANE ” for a reason. I have always believed that you pay for what you do before you leave this world, I can only hope.

    • NObama_Holder_Reid_Pelosi_2012

Most Americans have short term memory and most of the younger generations know nothing about Vietnam war much less about who and what Hanoi Jane is and what she did. The low information elders and the dumbed down youth associate Jane Fonda with the Movie “On Golden Pond” and a “workout” video, They know nothing of her actions in N.Korea during the Vietnam War Era and her Communist mindset protests while Stateside.

      • Robert Messmer

I remember “Barbarella” which was before she became Hanoi Jane.

        • Quester55

Ya, at the time, the sick gal had a very hard time Keeping her cloths on in her movies as well as her legs crossed. She was sought world wide for her Skin-Flicks! but thats another sorry, story.

    • jaybird

I heard a story that she visited a prison camp and the camp commander had the prisoners clean up and put on those pajamas for Hanoi Jane to visit and see that they were being treated well.. She went down the line calling them baby killers and the prisoners shook hands & slipped her bits of paper with their SS# on it hoping she would take it back to the states to let their families know they were alive. Well, she gave the pieces of paper to the commander and the prisoners were badly beaten and tortured for doing that after she left.

They are not advertising that she is in the movie in my town because they are afraid that it would lose money. I hope it flops and gets bad reviews.

  • Sarah Conner

Kudos to you, sir…have never seen anything this traitorous b!tch was in and never will…she should have been thrown out of our country decades ago…

  • Alex

Jane Fonda was right to pose with the North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gunners as they bravely tried to knock our baby-killing bombers out of the sky. God bless her!

    • NObama_Holder_Reid_Pelosi_2012

those baby killing bombers were there because your ancestors voted a government into office that ordered then to go to Vietnam. They followed orders given to them by your government, you want to blame someone blame the american president and politicians not the soldiers who followed orders

      • Motov

Don’t forget they drafted the soldiers so they did not go off to war willingly.

        • Alex

Alex you are a total fool. I was in Viet Nam when she went there and I resent abything you say. I think you are a big chicken s–t!!!!!!!!

  • Ms Non-Communist

Nancy Wilkinson you are quite right. But this movie Is no different than EVERY TV show and movie out today. Pay attention – every show pits the white, wealthy person as evil and stupid, and every Mexican, black & Muslim is the intelligent one in power. (every cop show has a black Police Commisioner) The new form of racism in Hollywood is anti-white propaganda. And Oprah, the egomaniac, has ALWAYS been racist. She used whites to build her soapbox and it’s now in full racist mode.

  • northbrook

More theatres should take this stand why enrich Fonda for betraying her country/ The film is an inaccurate depiction of history and dishonors a great President by implying racial prejudice.

    • Quester55

Northbrook, Things like Jane Fonda, Have way to much SELF-HATE to be bothered by LOYALTY to This Country , It’s GOD & to our people. In Fact, Is Bigots like her that Keep The HATE FIRES Burning between two of the Greatest Races in the World, You White Folks & us So-called Black Folks, Of which I’m happy to say, are slowly coming around to Dropping theit Titles & call each outer BROTHERS of The Same Race, The human Race, No, The AMERICAN HUMAN RACE!!

  • Quester55

JANE FONDA, Added together with her Fellow’s Like Hillery & William Clinton, Where known to Those that Served during Viet Nam, as the Most,” treasonous”
S.O.B.’s in the United States at the time. Hanoi Jane, Gave Aid & Comfort to Our Nations Enemies during the Viet Nam War, By Protesting (ON FILM) The American Involvement in this WAR! some say that while in the City, She had the chance to Give Aid to the American G.I.’s that where being held Prisoner’s of War, In Pens No Pig would be caught Dead in! She also Stated ” That All Soldiers serving in that War, Were & Are BABY KILLERS!

As for the Now Hitched Clinton’s, They Did their Dastardly Deeds while Travailing to MOSCOW, to PROTEST Americas Involvement in Nam!
Yet When it was over, All three of these Traitors where NEVER HELD or TRIED for their ACTIVE TREASONOUS ACTIONS!!

about 90 miles from Tiny Stone,..errrm,..Small Pebble, …ermmm…Diminutive Boulder,..errrm.. Little Rock.

I’ll support our troops but I won’t support our Government, France at one time had claim to Viet Nam as a colony. Viet Nam was a cheap source of rubber to
France, After WW2 France wanted to keep their cheap source of rubber, Viet Nam wanted independence, They even drew up a constitution in 1946 France used their NATO influence to get America into the war. So it was our government, plus those industries busy making all kinds of money at the expense of our troops , taxpayers, etc. You know,… the same crap going on today with wars going on here and there.

Do not anyone see where all this is leading? A movie with slavery, a president whose first comment in a 2008 speech was slavery, a healthcare which will enslave american workers, it seems to be a personal vendetta of retaliation for Americas past.

It was not right what she(hanoi jane) did!! Shame on your ignorance! From the day she did that I have boycotted anything she did!

  • txagsw

The lies in the film are too numerous, but one is the scene where his father is beaten up and his mother is raped…NEVER HAPPENED, another is where Reagan was made to be racist, he is the one who raised all salaries to be equal for equal work.. Before blacks were paid less, he made it equal!!!

  • Debbie

I live it that time I saw our boys coming back from war and being called baby killers, spit on as they come off the planes, Don’t tell me what happen then doesn’t matter, Fonda was in the front of the line. Said then I would never watch anything she played in and don’t intend to start now.

  • Sarah417

I won’t see it or spend my hard earned money on a movie what will have an obvious liberal slant. All movies these day are garbage and so are most of the actors and actresses.

  • Your Mileage May Vary

Paula Dean (the chef) was basically black-listed for using “the n word” in the past and had most if not all of her contracts dropped… Why isn’t this being done to Jane for her “hate speech” of bashing servicemen??? Seems to me that she infuriates way more servicemen and civilians (white as well as black and even other races) than Paula Dean did offending the black citizens

  • Vazir Mukhtar

Movie house owners refusing to show a film has gone on for ages. Numbers refused to show “The Last Temptation of Christ.” Some theaters have been forced to quit showing “Birth of a Nation,” even when it was part of a D. W. Griffith retrospective. “The Butler” is but one film in a long line of such censorship.

No adult compels another adult to see a particular film (exception: some husbands and wives). If there’s something about a movie a person doesn’t like, he can keep his money in his pocket or spend it elsewhere. If enough people don’t see the film, the producers will take a hit and if the hit is big enough, they’ll think twice about the content and/or the casting of subsequent films.

This is how the marketplace is supposed to work.
