In The Red Zone

In The Red Zone

Ah, autumn. The morning air is crisp, like the money Obamacare will lift from your wallet. Your breath begins to fog the air like the teary-eyed mewling of global warming pseudo-scientists. Temperatures drop like President Barack Obama’s approval ratings. The foliage erupts with hues reminiscent of John Boehner’s face and Maureen Dowd’s hair. Meanwhile, Americans gather in living rooms across the nation and drink cheap beer, eat the kind of food which makes cardiologists put down deposits on new Mercedes S-Class sedans, and roar for their favorites to push the ball across the goal line.

Oh, and there’s that whole “midterm election” thing, which is nowhere near the red, white and blue Americana as NFL Sundays and their attendant heartache and heartburn; but a great deal more heartwarmingly patriotic than two more years of saying “Speaker Pelosi.”

As Republicans roll toward a possible capture of both houses of Congress, and Democrats begin calling the movers and packing their “Most Likely to Win the Convicted Felon Vote” trophies, I decided to add a little pigskin patois to the upcoming electoral proceedings, and offer a look at a few races which are demonstrative of the changing tide of American politics. Obviously, I’m not going to cover the whole electoral gridiron, Personal Liberty Digest patriots, there’s always room in the comments section.

Sharron Angle v. Harry Reid
U.S. Senate — Nevada

The Mean Girl versus the Milquetoast. Republicans can take control of both Houses, a conservative revolution can grip the nation like Michael Moore getting his paws on the last hot-glazed at Krispy Kreme, and the Dems will still breathe a collective sigh of relief if Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s purse-porter can somehow hang on in the Silver State. Reid has lived on the edge in recent years, using the liberal bent of the mainstream media to hide everything from Jack Abramoff ties to patronage scandals. With Pelosi beyond the GOP’s reach inside her wealthy San Francisco perimeter, Reid is the top 2010 target. Reid’s political longevity may work in his favor, but familiarity has bred some serious contempt for incumbents this season. If Angle was slightly less gaffe-prone, Reid, a former boxer, would be on the canvas for good. As it is, this one is going down to the wire, with neither candidate able to cross the 50 percent approval Rubicon in 2010. I’ll call it an upset, with the aging champ finally taking the tumble.
Pick: Angle 50.5-47

Chris Coons v. Christine O’Donnell
U.S. Senate — Delaware

Something tells me that Christine O’Donnell is less of a legitimate candidate, and more of a statement by the Tea Party that the GOP had better get used to playing ball. After all, this race wasn’t supposed to be a race at all. Mike Castle should have locked this one up back when Joe Biden bounced to go play Johnny to Obama’s Señor Wences. But O’Donnell, backed by the Tea Party, showed Castle the door, simultaneously allowing otherwise forgettable Democrat Chris Coons to sneak through. I’m sure conservatives would love to claim this one is in play, but O’Donnell’s first ad was a plea to First Staters to trust that she wasn’t auditioning for Macbeth in her spare time. We’ve all heard the adage: “any publicity is good publicity.” Not necessarily, kids. With little else to fight over in Delaware, look for moderates to either stay home or begrudgingly cast ballots for Coons.
Pick: Coons 55-41

Michelle Bachmann v. Tarryl Clark
U.S. House — Minnesota (6)

Bachmann’s definitive statements infuriate Democrats and energize conservatives. Whether it’s her speculation that Obama “may have un-American views,” or her suggestion that some members of the Beltway crowd deserve investigation for “anti-Americanism,” Bachmann is one of those unapologetic types who make the wingnuts sputter with rage even more than normal. Her statement that opponents of the Ground Zero Mosque should be Federally investigated… oops, that was Nancy Pelosi. Both Bachmann and Clark are well-funded; and in what may well be an Electoral Waterloo for Democrats, they’d love to take Bachmann’s seat as a consolation prize. It won’t be easy — Bachmann has Tea Party backing, she’s a vigorous campaigner, and she’s a two-term incumbent.
Pick: Bachmann 52-46

Jerry Brown v. Meg Whitman
Governor — California

Where else? Former Governor, Mayor of Oakland, paramour of Linda Ronstadt and “Buddhist Economist” Jerry Brown heads into Election Day 2010 with a slight lead in most polls. The man dubbed “Governor Moonbeam” by some is by no means the strangest cat in California, but Meg Whitman’s campaign has done little to convince voters that Brown is an intellectual extraterrestrial. With Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger departing with approval ratings reminiscent of the disgraced Gray Davis (23 percent), it’s hard to imagine any Republican having any chance at all. But 2010 has been about as normal as the hairstyles on the Santa Monica pier. Whitman has a chance, but so do the rubes playing the nickel slots in Tahoe.
Pick: Brown 51-46

Barbara Boxer v. Carly Fiorina
U.S. Senate — California

It’s a good thing Californians don’t have photo arrays built into their voting machines. A casual glance at Boxer and Fiorina reveals an odd similarity of appearance. It’s also a good thing these two are not related, although Thanksgiving dinner at THAT house would be fun to watch — from outside. Boxer won by 20+ back in 2004, and Obama carried California by close to 25 points in 2008. But the economic meltdown which has hit the Golden State particularly hard, combined with Obama’s colossal ineptitude in response, has damaged Boxer’s chances somewhat. Considering Boxer lists so far to port that she actually refused to certify the 2004 Ohio election results based on the DNC’s fake Diebold-machine scandal, it’s safe to say that inland Golden Staters, who tend to lean right, may show up just to help Babs pack her bags. Neither Boxer nor Fiorina has 50 percent polling averages, with Boxer just ahead, I’m calling upset.
Pick: Fiorina 50.5-48

Proposition 19
Ballot initiative to decriminalize personal/recreational marijuana use

People who are unfamiliar with California’s internal politics probably assumed this was already the law of the land in the Golden State. Oddly, it isn’t. Perhaps more oddly, absolutely no one of significance on the California ballot supports it — including Jerry Brown, who would probably switch sides if the bill legalized LSD. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has stated that the Feds will pick up where the state leaves off if Prop 19 passes, which may actually boost Prop 19′s chances, especially if every pothead in California stumbles into the polls on Nov. 2.
Pick: NO 53-47

Ike Skelton v. Vicky Hartzler
U.S. House — Missouri (4)

The mere fact that Skelton’s seat is even threatened is newsworthy in and of itself. Skelton has represented Harry Truman’s old district for more than three decades, and is a reasonably moderate Democrat. Skelton is also the chairman of the powerful House Armed Services Committee, not a position normally held by a representative whose head may be on the block. Skelton held a double-digit polling lead a few months ago, but votes for TARP, the stimulus and Cap and Trade have dragged him into a dead heat with former State Legislator Hartzler. Skelton is nearly as old as Missouri statehood, and his clock may well be running out this time.
Pick: Hartzler 48-42.

Charlie Crist v. Marco Rubio v. Kendrick Meek
U.S. Senate — Florida

Charlie Crist used to be a Republican, more or less. Then, when former State Assemblyman Marco Rubio began showing signs of upending Crist in the GOP primary to replace the retiring Mel Martinez, Charlie dropped out to run as an independent. When conservatives statewide began showing signs of abandoning Crist, then he said he might caucus with Democrats if elected. When Crist said that his polling numbers against Rubio began to plunge like South Beach necklines. All of that was then. This is now. Rubio is way ahead to stay. Oh — Congressman Kendrick Meeks is the Democrat entry in this race. I’m sure someone will have a nice parting gift for him.
Pick: Rubio 47 – Crist 31 – Meek…a few.

Richard Blumenthal v. Linda McMahon
U.S. Senate — Connecticut

Ask any political satirist in the western world which race means the most, and they’ll probably tell you: “Sharron Angle versus Harry Reid.” Fair enough, the possible upset of the Desert Rat by The New York Times’ least favorite woman (other than Sarah Palin) is certainly newsworthy. But secretly, we all want Linda McMahon to give Richard Blumenthal a game. After all, if the former WWE executive wins, the jokes pretty much write themselves for the next six years. Just imagine the headlines the morning after a McMahon upset:

“Linda Lays the Smackdown!”
“McMahon Bodyslams Blumenthal”

This one should have been what the wrestling biz calls a “squash match.” In the race to replace the retiring Chris Dodd, Blumenthal has done as much to keep McMahon in the match as she has for herself. He exaggerated his military service record, which in actuality makes John Kerry a regular Audie Murphy by comparison. He flat-out lied about never accepting PAC money while bagging more than $200,000 in the first quarter of 2010 alone. And then there was that YouTube-tastic moment during the debate when McMahon choke-slammed him (see?) on job creation.

Nonetheless, recent polling has Blumenthal’s lead hovering in the double-digit arena. McMahon will have to come off the top rope with a serious elbow to win this belt. (I couldn’t resist.)
Pick: Blumenthal 54-44

There are quite a few races which I could have mentioned; but bandwidth trumps punditry. Alabama’s 2nd is worth a look, as is Colorado’s 7th. Joe Sestak has come back from the dead against Pat Toomey in the race to fill the Pennsylvania Senate seat which Arlen Specter essentially abdicated. In Ohio, former GOP congressional heavyweight John Kasich holds a slim margin over gubernatorial incumbent Ted Strickland.

And let’s not forget New York’s gubernatorial race, where hookers statewide harbor hope that Andrew Cuomo will turn into Client 11 — if Carl Paladino doesn’t hit him with a shovel beforehand.

The rest I leave to you, fellow Livingstonians. Vote early, vote often — oops, that’s ACORN.

No matter what happens, Ben, it will be interesting. I can’t say I’m not biased. I’ve lived long enough to do fairly well in recognizing crap when it presents itself in the guise of leadership.
America has a chance to repudiate some major mental aberrations that have afflicted America for many years.
It would be nice to know that voter fraud will be prevented, dead voters won’t ‘appear’ and that convicted felons won’t get a chance to manipulate election results.
But, the stakes are high, and freedom is in the balance. Now is the time to prove that the Founders were right, and that we deserve to be free.

    • Eric

      Well said S C!

    • Wayne

Thank you s c, well stated. We need for the American People to wake up and keep an eye on their elected officials. I feel the reason were in this mess is because the people have not been paying enough attention to what has been going on in Washington D. C. for the last 30 to 40 years. We need to clean out this rats nest, and then make sure it stays that way. Imagine this country being $13.6 Trillion dollars in debt. It will take us many, many years to pay off the amount of money. I am sure that most of you folks know about this website on the debt clock, but I am sending it just in case some one does not know about it. http://www.usdebtclock.org/

    • http://sparkysma@earthlink.net Penny R. Freeman

As totally rigged as Obama and all the Soros set-up groups have things if you think dead people, felons, and illegals won’t be voting you must be living in dreamland. They even had some nut job of a federal judge in Arizona, where there are plenty of illegals, rule you don’t have to prove you’re a resident to vote! Why don’t they just say walk on in and if you vote for us we’ll hand the country over to you, afterall that seems to be what Obama’s intent is. When he was elected I was afraid some looney with a gun would get after him and set off a race war. I predict there’ll be blood in the streets before Obama is done, but it won’t be about race. It will be about hanging onto power. He already has an army unit on ready to quell any civilian uprising. And you don’t think there’ll be an uprising when all the facts do eventually come to light about the voter fraud and intimidation that went on in 2008? There’s going to be even more of that garbage going on this time than last. And there’s been one man arrested because he went after a woman who was in among Rand Paul supporters trying to stir up trouble. With the radicals that are behind Obama there’s going to be lots more of that. And that’s their intent, to stir up trouble and make the tea party and others look like the troublemakers.

      • Vicki

And interesting that Obama just happens to be going overseas right after the election. Taking his entire family and 500+ others with him. Though the trip may have been planned way in advance the addition of the children to the entourage appears to be more recent.

        • http://GOGGLE vaksal

FROM vaksal, vicky i havent heard a word about what you posted,it just shows im getting slow, but i wonder if it is a practice run to get out of town quick,if things get nasty here and they have to flee the republic here, but do you think that number you posted is correct? if you fly out the crooks nationwide holding public servant jobs that are leftwing neo-com communist, wouldnt the number be several thousand,in that case maybe we should buy them one way tickets on alot of garbage barges headed due east,at least the rats would be at home, with lots of food to eat,(a wide selection for entrees)a way for them to leave the (U.S.S.LOLIPOP)>(U.S.S.AMERICA)that they have tryed to turn into a (NWO)colony, and the great job of destroying a free people,i say good riddance to all the trash.

        • Christin

          Vicki,
I haven’t heard of obama’s trip after the election… (another taxpayer vacation… we shouldn’t be surprised), but I say good riddance and DON’T come back… instead send our TROOPs back (NOW- so they can VOTE)! We can take things from here……..

    • http://none Mike

Didnt you hear yet? The democrats hired the guys at ghost hunters to pull in and register that dead vote. :)

          Angel Wannabe,
want to have some fun? find out the fan site for the view and tell Joy Berhar that thanks to her calling Sharron Angle a b!tch on the View the other day she has convinced you to vote conservative. Tell her that you WERE all set to vote liberal before that!!! She will blow a fuse right on the show!!!! We should ALL do it!!

          • Angel Wannabe

JoeH, Thats pretty funny, I’d love to see her blow a gasket!!!LMAO

  • http://GOGGLE vaksal

It seems that the race in nevada is taking a strange twist,it seems from reports coming out of that state in the race between harry reid and sharron angle that the voting machines are registering only harry reid name only, when sharron angle name is selected as the voters choice, strange isnt, well it seems that the american peoples votes are being played with again,it may be the time has come again for the good old ballot,on plain simple paper, with no add on gimmicks, punch out chads or other voter defrauding manipulations,i am sick to death of all the crooks that have run for office,i feel if anyone hyjacks anyones votes,if found guility, they should be hung, for it is no less than treason.from one angry voter.

    • slickporsche

Please hang em slowly using no special equipment. A large tree and a strong rope would do just fine.

      • Mike In MI

        Yea, slck -
let’s make it a big hawser that will support the chin and skull long enough for all the treasonous *&%*#! to choke slowly, eye poppingly and tongue distendingly.

        • Christin

          Mike in MI,
I’m sure they talk all the time in the back rooms about what they want to do to us, too. I’m sure it isn’t very pretty, either.

They deserve what punishment you guys are discussing, we don’t.

        • http://?? Joe H.

          Mike,
make sure that it has thirteen wraps!!!

      • http://GOGGLE vaksal

WE may have a slight problem,is there a tree strong enough to hold that much manure or that much rope in the whole nation? OH,lets give it a try anyway, wheres theres a will theres a way.

        • Angel Wannabe

          vaksal___LOL!

    • Wayne

I sure hope the Republicans contact the proper authorities, and get right on this, to check it out. We certainly don’t want Dirty Harry Reid back in there to continue NObama’s wish list. When I see his eyes I can tell right away that this man is one that cannot be trusted. Yes! if some one has rigged these machines to register Dirty Harry, when they think they are voting for Sharon Angle, that would be a travesty of justice. Any person that would stoop that low should be hung. There are some dirty scum bags out there that would do this for the right amount of money.

      • Mike In MI

        Hey, Wayne -
Now, wait a minute and think logically. Why do you think the Damnolcrass have fought so hard for computer voting machine use? So easy to tinker with the voting process. They promised a paper trail of sorts, but where is it? And, besides, a paper trail would just encourage querious voters to quibble about recounts, possibly exposing their perfidy.
It seems somehow the computer techs and others responsible for setting up the voting machines and networks in Nevada are SEIU members. But, how could such a small thing ever have any effect?

        • Christin

          Mike,
Nice… the wolves (SEIU) are guarding the hen houses (Electronic Voting Machines)in NV… we can trust them, right? ;)

          • Angel Wannabe

Christin, Imagine That!__Now I feel safe in voting!

      • Sam in Cal

        Such as SEIU

  • Harold Olsen

I will be very much surprised if Angle beats Reid. How can she when many of the voting machines have already selected Reid. Why aren’t these machines programmed so that if a voter accidentally selects the wrong candidate they can change it? The fix is definitely in, especially since Reid’s son works in the department that is responsible for these machines. In spite of what the polls show, I believe that because of the corruption going on in Neveda, Reid will miraculously win by a landslide and the Obama regime will not allow an investigation to take place.

    • slickporsche

Then as a nation tired of corruption we swing into action with weapons in hand and take our country back With a war of such intensity they will never never try to con the American people again. Give these jerks something to remember and something to fear. WE THE PEOPLE! HOO RAH HOO RAH

    • alpha-lemming

AND…….. SEIU members are the “technicians” responsible for servicing the machines!!

      • Angel Wannabe

I saw that AL, how perfect a set-up was that?

    • DaveH

I couldn’t find anywhere, Harold, where it was stated that the voters couldn’t change the Harry Reid pick. It is just the idea that a pre-selection of Harry Reid might go unnoticed by some voters or would act as a subliminal message to others, perhaps. This is an interesting article on that matter:
      http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/blogs/beltway-confidential/Voting-machines-in-Clark-County-Nevada-automatically-checking-Harry-Reids-name-Voting-machine-technicians-are-members-of-SEIU-105815608.html

      • DaveH

It’s sickening. There is a way to insure that our individual votes are counted correctly and that the overall votes are counted correctly. But the leaders, especially the many corrupt ones, are not going to implement such a system voluntarily. Here is my idea, not perfect perhaps, but some good Computer Scientists could refine it:
We could have two databases for each election. One database would store the ‘voter information’ (Identification, address, polling place, etc.). And the other database would store the ‘votes cast’ with a unique alphanumeric ID which was given to the voter at the polling place. The polling place would also be stored on this database to identify problem polling places. Only the voter would know his alphanumeric ID so secrecy would be preserved. Both databases would be accessible by the public. Anyone or any organization could check the ‘voter information’ database to see if any illegal voters cast votes. The votes in the ‘votes cast’ database could be easily tallied by anyone to see if votes were counted correctly and that the number of votes matched the number of voters in the ‘voter information’ database. Also, an individual voter would be able to check his alphanumeric ID to see that his votes are in the database correctly, and if not, he/she could notify the proper authorities or the proper news media.
We need to put pressure on our officials to implement such a system. Without such a system, I have no idea how we can verify that our votes weren’t changed. That is wrong.

        • Angel Wannabe

DaveH, yeah, wether or not our votes are going to be counted concerns me too!

    • Wayne

Like I said above, the voting should be stopped and experts should be brought in from another part of the country to check these machines out before anymore voting continues. This is the time to nip it in the bud. Harry Reid is dirty, and to think how many years he has been screwing this nation. We can’t allow that to continue.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Wayne,
Just make sure that those people you bring in are NON-union!!!

        • Angel Wannabe

JoeH, you took the words right off my keyboard! :)

    • http://Alaska Wild Bill

From what I have read and heard, when the polling places are forced to call in technicians to “fix” the machines in question, the technicians are all SEIU members-go figure.

Voter fraud, not the Democrats. Whoops there’s that pesky Chicago habit of The Dead voting multiple times. Oh yes that’s the Democratic Party way. Lol. And you expected better from Dingy Harry? What were you thinking?

I’m am so sick, of this particular election campaign mood, I could puke!_I am awed(not in a good way) and struck at the divisive arrogance of this President.__We the suppose-ed enemies and Republicans, can go along for the ride, but we have to get in the back of the bus._Flash Back to, Rosa Parks 1960′s. I so wish this was the Presidential election coming on Nov 2, because this Marxist snake has got to go, peaceably slithering quietly out of sight.
I hear people say the Repubs had they’re chance, Bush this, Bush that, I tell ya what, the Repubs can’t do any worse, than what this bunch of thugs in the White house has done.__ I thought at the Presidential inauguration that instead of playing “Hail To The Chief”, That “Send in the Clowns” would have been more appropriate. My opinion hasn’t changed much since then either, if anything it’s worse.__My hope is this latest bunch of “newbies” being voted in on November 2, have listened to the American people and actually “do” what needs to be done, fearlessly!___It’s my hope they can rebuke the corruption, unlike the incumbents___ Skeptically, Time will tell!!___Vote Folks, Vote with all you got!__Freedom depends on it!

    • Barb

Once again Angel VERY WELL SAID!!! I said the same thing to my family! “Bring in the Clowns” would have been much more appropriate and their theme song for the Democratic Party should be “Liar” by Three Dog Night! I would like to add to my comment below GO OUT AND VOTE, no matter what those thugs and crooks come up with VOTE! It’s our only chance right now and we still have a very good chance despite their cheating!!! Angel you are a breath of fresh air, thank you for being out there!

      • Angel Wannabe

ahhh geez, your a sweetie! :)_lol

    • Mick

      Angel……….. You’re a woman ? are you not ???
The reason I ask is because I used to know a guy name Angel but weather you’re a woman or not I, as usual agree with you , I am sick about what’s going on in our Country,,
When you have a President saying to the Latinos ” : Get out there and punish your “enemies” while referring to Republicans, the line has definitely been crossed, he is no better that any of the rotten dictators America has been fighting against since ever……….
On another note, have you heard about Michelle Rhee Resigning as D.C. Schools Chancellor,,,
She has been responsible for firing some bad teachers which of course didn’t go well with the unions.
, the bastard have the balls to ask for a bail out for the teachers retirement funds while they give around 50 millions in contributions to the democrats campaigns,,hellooo folks, we’re on the hook again because of the unions sick agenda….
America has got to turn this around, we’re dying here……………

      • Shibamom

Hi Mick, You know, I heard that about that comment from Obama yesterday on a talk radio station while driving home from work last night. I thought it was a bad joke; that despite what I think of this lying, deceitful ass, he couldn’t have possibly said something so hateful and devisive. But your comment just brought it all back. How could the “leader” of the greatist nation on earth ever say something so freakin’ low?????? Why do all of our politicians play like badly behaved children?? The president is supposed to be above all this but he’s right in there throwing sand in the faces of every American…or at least a certain group of Americans. He seems to favor minority groups a lot. He does not deserve the job or all the attention that he apparently craves.

        • Angel Wannabe

shibamom, politicians behave bad, because they have momma-dropped them-on-there-head-syndrom!_-Most, not all, but most of them I fear come from well-to-do families and are a bunch of spoiled brats, who never had to work a day in they’re life. They were sent Haaavid or Yale (as I lift my pinky in the air to drink tea) with the tuition fully paid for. I have no problem when someone, builds a life of wealth from the ground up and becomes successful, as long as they don’t step on people on the way up. Or take advantage of people once they get there!__Sadly it seems the attitudes of these politicians are getting worse by the day, especially the Progressives.

          • DaveH

The best way to insure that don’t step on people on the way up is to get our Free Markets back. Take the politics out of economics. Let the consumers decide which businesses should thrive and which should die.
The only party I know with the principles to get that job done is the Libertarian Party. For Individual Freedom, Personal Responsibility, Free Markets, and Limited Government – Vote Libertarian:
            http://libertarianparty.org/platform

Quit throwing your votes away on people whose idea of Personal Freedom is to do things their way with your own body and property.

For way to many years I voted for the lessor of 2 evils. What I got for my trouble was ……. evil. No more. Vote principles. Vote Libertarian. Its the only way to be sure. (www.lp.org)

        • Mike In MI

          Exactly right, Shibamom -
This shape-shifter absolutely craves attention and gets down and dirty irrational when he is questioned or satirized. He’s a megalomaniac with huge authority and a socialist to boot. We have had, in the last century, several infamous leaders rise to power with that combination of traits.

          NOT a good sign.

      • Shibamom

As for Michele Rhee, she resigned because the incoming Mayor, who can remove any staffer they want when taking over the job, owed a favor and asked her to leave because many in the Dept of Ed, unions, etc., were unhappy with her very effective methods of cleaning up the public school system in DC. She went in and kicked ass by removing all the dead, ineffective weight. Apparently all the schools she worked in dramatically improved. However, because that’s not what the establishment wants really, she was removed. In our political world today, no one in power really wants certain people or situations to improve because there’s now way to get filthy rich when things are good. I am so freakin’ sick of how this country is run!!

In our political world today, no one in power really wants certain people or situations to improve because there’s now way to get filthy rich when things are good. I am so freakin’ sick of how this country is run!!

Shibamom, you are “freakin’ sick of how this country is run!!” because there is just too much running. We need to get Government out of our everyday choices and give the power back to the consumers. Government has proven to be a failure time and again in the marketplace. We need to get them out of the marketplace. We need to recognize that Big Government is the Problem, Not the Solution. That is the only way we are going to get our country back.

I wish we’d had someone like her years ago. My son was upset because his English teacher wouldn’t stop touching him. I put a stop to that. 2 weeks later the Algebra teacher said he was to get me to show him how to do his problems. I sent him back with a note to tell her it was what my taxes were paying her to do. He was expelled for being argumentative and disruptive. 10 days later he was dead. Shot accidentally by a boy he met in the remedial school I was forced to send him to. We need a lot of Michelle Rhees in this country.

            Wow, that’s shocking… I’m so sorry.
The school was negligent to remove him from his school for “being argumentative.” That doesn’t seem like enough reason. The Teacher should have sent him to the Counselor and the Principal should have talked with your son and you to see what was going on and try to work it out before sending him away. I would think a danger (knives, guns, threats on someones’ life…) to the other students and teachers would warrant removal, not an outburst of frustration or anger. So sorry.

Governor Christie has already offered Michelle rhee a job to clean up the N.J.E.A. (The cartel in N.J.) and inprove our school system. As said many times by a friend of mine who is a teacher in N.J. “It does not matter how much money you throw into an education system. Junior is still going to eat the paste out of the jar” LOL. Meaning more money will not make your child automatically smarter the end of his quote is “But with a balance of time invested by Student,Passion invested by Teacher ,and involvement by Parent is priceless and will go farther than any dollar spent” I tend to believe that theory also.

        • DaveH

The only way to assure that, Chucky, is to get the Government out of our educational system. Give the power of choice back to the parents, and competing private schools.

Although Chris Christie may not be as conservative as we’d like, he surely sounds responsible and respectable. I’ve heard on the radio that Chris Christie is halting this tunnel project, not because he is against the project, but because New Jersey can’t afford it. And here’s a real attention-getter: they also said that Christie doesn’t want to add to unsustainable state debt or blame predecessors, et al!! RIGHT ON!! Don’t you wish we could say the same about our current POTUS?? In reality, this $8.7 billion rail project is like petty cash when compared to the trillions added to our national debt over the past 21 months. Yet BHO, Pelosi and their democraps take no responsibility for it!! It’s just ‘Blame Bush and the GOP’, never mind the fact that they have not controlled the White House or Congress for the last 21 and 45 months, respectively.

That’s the shame and horror of what’s being said. It DOES read like fiction. Fiction IS comprised of ideas that are figments of somebody’s imagination, made up, unreal, non-factual passages, representations of things that his mind conjured out of the ether or were put there by some foreign intelligence.
Yet, there it is…folks talking about events we are experiencing in real-life situations or things that can reasonably be expected to occur, given the facts being presented to our investigations.
Yeah, it reads like fiction – even science fiction. But, there it is…happening to us. The Satanic Bible in living color because of leaders running things straight to hell.

Legalize it! Substitute “Drunks” for “Pothead” in your comment during prohibition repeal. What’s the difference? Oh yeah, people don’t die from pot. Wait, I thought that would be a good thing? And people can grown their own! For free! I thought that would be a good thing? Wait, I get it, YOU like to drink, so it’s “OK”. You don’t smoke pot, so it’s “bad”. I get it now. Hypocrite.

    • Shibamom

Pot should be legal!! Every bad thing that has ever been said about it is a lie pure and simple. I guess just like anything else, if it’s good for the people, the politicians are against it because it doesn’t make them any money. I cannot believe that today there are still people demonizing pot even though you NEVER hear of anyone overdosing on it or dying.

      • TIME

        Ditto!!!!!!

      • DaveH

It’s amazing isn’t it, Shibamom, how formerly immoral things become moral when the politicians can find a way to profit from them? Take gambling, for instance. It was sure to ensnare victims into a life of destitution, that is until Governments found a way to make money on it (LOTTO). Now it is common to see billboards or TV ads enticing people to gamble on LOTTO.
We need to get Government out of our personal choices. And when people make dumb choices, we need to hold them responsible. No bailouts from unwilling donors (slaves).

I personally,do not partake of the weed, but to continue the criminalization of a substance that has way more positive uses than negative ones,is pure idiocy. The majority of politicians,on both sides of the aisle are stupid, and as the great American comedian Ron White said “you can’t fix stupid”.Plant some seeds,or build a still and tell the feds to F*ck off,it is our lives that they want to regulate.Just “say no” to federal interference.

          John,
Your way off base, perhaps you should look into the person’s of whom you speak prior to making a claim that they smoked pot of even still smoke it, don’t blame POT for someone being a Marxist.

I know hundreds of people who smoke, not a single one has a criminal record, not a single one has a net value of less than high seven figures and most well into the eight figures and higher.

Not a one is an idiot, most own their own business that empoly countless people. Thus ends your argument they do nothing but sit around under a tin foil cap and look at black light posters.

I have a good friend who is one of the country’s best in his field and can charge as much as he wants, he many joints smokes daily.
As well just for the record POT does not kill brain cells.

Nor is POT something that will bring about “addictions.”
{{ADDICTIONS}} are not from the use of any products its from a break down within your Brains abilitys to control its chemical balance.
And one can become addicted to anything, what do you call shopping Mall Queens? Thats an addiction that cost people far more than a few joints.

Just as many people in the world are addicted to eating large amounts of FOOD!
Odd, no – just look at the numbers of people who are walking around with “Body Fat Mass Index” that is well into the 40 – 60% ratios.

Think what you want, but don’t just say stupid things to make yourself feel better due to your total ignorance.

We got into the Bloody mess we face now, due to idiots like yourself that just follow along with out a dam clue.

I will pray that you wake up.

          • john

I also want to add that you obviously did’nt read what I said..perhaps the pot clouded your fat head..I did’nt say it leads to addictions..I said that eventually people who smoke pot get bored with the high and try other drugs..which can lead to becoming addicted to harder stuff.Your 100s of highly achieving pothead friends who have no criminal record are sneaking around to buy something thats illegal..so they’re breaking the law..they just have’nt got caught yet.Meanwhile they’re supporting organized crime and terror organizations who get their funds from drug dealing..and in those businesses people are murdered..have you seen whats taking place in Mexico…you simply got offended because your one of those weak people who need to get high because you can’t handle reality..grow up and be a man.

        • DaveH

          John,
It really doesn’t matter if you are correct, or if Time is correct (my money is on Time). What does matter is that it is their body, their lost money if it is harmful. The Government has no business protecting people from themselves. That is why we’re in the mess we’re in, because too many people have accepted the propaganda and allowed Government to grow ever larger in those vain efforts to protect us from our own dumb decisions at the expense of people who make the right decisions.
I’m not saying pot smoking is a mistake or not. But if it is a mistake, the real problem is that the Government has assumed the role of Savior with our money. In my book, that is just plain theft. If you enable Government to grow larger, you are the problem, not the pot smoker.

        • JC

Well John, using that line of thinking I guess we could say that when we get bored ith mother’s milk we go straight to Scotch.

And who cares if some moron wants to smoke pot, or anything else as long as he’s not hurting anyone else?
If some crackhead wants to sit in a closet and puff until he’s shaking and paranoid…fine! But let that same moron break into my house and BANG! Problem solved.

Until then, he’s none of my business.

The Repblicans in Nevada shuld have signs outside thepollingplaces that tell republican viters to immediately rais their hand and call a pol watcher over if Reid’s name popsup upon insertng their voter card. The poll watcher should then demand that the machine be immediately impounded and that any vote for Reid by counted as a vote for Angle. The voting commission government employees responsible for programming these machines are all represented by SEIU–what a coincidence! The problem is, that while they may be tampering with the machines, they are not smart enough to do it in a more covert way, so they are being outed. We dumped those machines in Florida after the Democraps complained that the mean old Republicans would be messing with the machines. What a turn of events. Public service employess should be prohibieted from unionizing.

  • Patriot

Get this the people servicing the voting machines in many areas is the SEIU, this organization has donated massive membership funds to….you guessed it; the Democrats! Make sure your votes are registering, if not see your official. These machines can be calibrated to offer a variety of results, in most cases it is just a malfunction, in others something more obvious is going on!!! We need to just turn out in greater masses to insure this kind of crap is minimized. If a RINO can win in Mass. then it is possible to insure others win in other areas. There are way more commonsense conservatives then any other voting block, get out there and change our country, this is just the beginning of a movement the progressive-traditionalist have yet to grasp! See you November 2!

    • DaveH

But RINOs still grow Government, albeit at a slower pace. And when we vote for them, we are rubbing-stamping their behavior. How will things ever change for the better if we keep voting that way? If the Republicans start putting up candidates that want to cut back the size of Government dramatically, then vote for them, but I won’t hold my breath for that to happen. Republicans, as with Democrats, have a vested interest in keeping Government big, because they want to save people from themselves. They can’t, but they sure spend a lot of our money trying. We need to end that. Get back to the kind of Freedom our Founders envisioned, where people can do things with their own bodies and property that others think are stupid. If they succeed, great, if they fail, then nobody else should be forced to pay for their mistakes. That is Real Freedom.

      • Mike In MI

        So true, DaveH -
Other things about Big Gov’t.: The bigger it is the easier it is to hide or make untrackable kick-backs, skimming, pay-offs, graft, various sorts of bribery, debauchery, nepotism, influence peddling and behavior that deprives us of our equality and freedoms or destroys them. The easier it is to funnel unaccounted funding (power) to friends, relatives, businesses and personal interests. The bigger government is, the easier and more likely legislators are to set up committees, non-profits and federal agencies to give their legislative and regulatory resposibilites to – making deniability or blame-shifting a way of life.

    • Warrior

Gotta start with getting rid of the worst posers. The Rino lights will grow a spine if we continue to apply the pressure. Don’t give em an inch from now on. Let’s have some Tea on Tuesday, shall we?

  • Teresa

Faced with multiple reports of early-voting irregularities and election shenanigans across the country, left-wing groups are playing dumb, deaf and blind.

More cunningly, these organizations are seeking to marginalize complaints about election integrity by casting citizen-watchdog efforts as racist “scare tactics.” Echoing President Obama’s message to the Democratic faithful on the campaign trail, they are accusing political opponents of suppressing the votes of minorities and the poor. Yesterday, The New York Times quoted a liberal voting-rights advocate, Wendy R. Weiser, wringing her hands over individual Americans taking clean elections seriously:

“Private efforts to police the polls create a real risk of vote suppression, regardless of their intent,” said Weiser.

Weiser also turned up in a similar story minimizing voter fraud that was published yesterday by National Public Radio. The NPR report asserted that “most election experts” believe that fears of voter fraud are “overblown.” Overblown?

    * In North Carolina and Nevada, early voters have encountered ballot-machine glitches that favor Democrats in hotly contested races.

    * In Troy, NY, and Daytona Beach, Fla., police investigations into suspected absentee-ballot fraud by elected government officials are underway.

    * In Harris County, Texas, the voter registrar admitted that 20 percent of voter-registration forms submitted by liberal activist Houston Votes had problems. Election whistleblowers there are now being investigated by the Obama Justice Department and have been slapped with an ethics complaint by the Texas Democratic Party and a left-wing group called Texans for Public Justice.

    * In Yuma County, Ariz., election officials denied any fraud associated with thousands of requests for “permanent early voter list” status submitted en masse by open-borders group Mi Familia Vota (a social-justice satellite of the Service Employees International Union). But election officials admitted that some 6,000 out of 14,000 requests fielded by the Yuma County Recorder’s Office “were reviewed and rejected, under Arizona law, either due to the fact the request was a duplicate or the requestor was not eligible to vote in this election or within the jurisdiction.”

Liberals shrugged their shoulders at reports of illegal-alien canvassers trolling for votes in Washington state. Never mind the radical goals spelled out by SEIU International Secretary-Treasurer and Mi Familia Vota founder Eliseo Medina, who views illegal-alien amnesty as a powerful Democratic recruitment tool to capture millions of new progressive voters.

And for the last two years, Democratic leaders have had nothing to say about the militant New Black Panther Party goons who took it upon themselves to police a Philadelphia voting booth in 2008 wielding billy clubs and shouting anti-white slurs to suppress votes. Now, they’re treating citizen election monitors as if they are the jack-booted thugs.

Illinois politics have been corrupt for years. None of this is new and none of these shenanigans surprise me. I want to vote Libertarian sooo bad. I can’t stomach the other candidates that are running for governor.

          • http://naver samurai

Say Claire, is it still vote early and vote often in Illinois? I know that’s how many dems think. They also try this tactic in NW Indiana during election time. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

          • Claire

Samurai–I will vote on Tuesday and God help the citizens of Illinois. As for me, I only vote once, and I do have to sign my name. Then they give me the ballot. In Chicago it will no doubt be a free for all.

  • valricoslash

We need a constitutional ammendment that 1.) absolutely requires, proof of citizenship in order to register to vote (not just a green card. 2.) Requires you to show up at the polls with phot ID and your voter registration card (no exceptions–rules are rules). 3.) eliminates early voting (This is just a scam that the Dems instituted to make it easier for them to logistically get more of their voters to the polls. Its tough when you have to bus all those people all in one day. Besides if you vote early and then some new information about a candidate comes out it is too late to change your vote.) 4.) Any candidate where voter fraud has been proved will be immediatley removed from office and barred from seeking future office including all Federal and local offices down to dog catcher. 5.) Illegal campaign contributiosn will become immediatly unavilable to the candidate and the candidate will be fined at five times the illegal contribution prior to the election day. (The effect is to remove these funds from the candidates war chest). 6.) thiose caught voting illegally will be subject to a mandatory 5-year prison term. Illegal aliens caught voting will be subject to a mandatory 10 year prison sentence upon completion they will be deported and barred from future entry into the US for any reason. 7. Federal election day will be a paid non-work day so long as you show up at the polls and bring proof to your employer that you did so, otherwise is an unpaid day off.

All we can do now is keep talking to people, and spreading the word, and hoping that Pelosi, and Read get the boot. I also hope that Michelle Bachman wins in Minnesota. They are spending big money to defeat her. She is a real threat to those that would harm America, such as the likes of Pelosi and Read.

  • Doug Rodrigues

I’m sick of voter fraud! If it’s proven that Democrats won because of voter fraud, and if prosecution of those illegally elected politicians isn’t done, then the only thing left is to have a hands-on physical revolt! Let the pitch forks and torches come out. If the law doesn’t protect us citizens from voter fraud, then it’s time to physically take care of the problem ourselves. Perhaps it’s time overdue to start hanging corrupt politicians up-side down from lamp posts and tree branches. The alternative is to meekly accept the corruption that our “leaders” impose upon us. If tens of thousands of people can go to Washington to rally, then tens of thousands of people can rush the halls of Congress and the Senate and drag those corrupt politicians out into the streets and give them a good beating, and probably worse! That’s what it’s going to come to…good old fashoned street Justice when the law fails to act. We’re more than half way to that mindset now.

    • Earl, QUEENS, NY

I hear you Doug. So we hear of problems at the polls?? I.e., Dingy Harry Reid trying to steal this election from Sharon Angle?? Well, the majority of us, who are moderate to conservative, must be sure to get to the polls when we can. Also – be wary of any ballots in which a (probably a Democrap) candidate’s name is already marked. Don’t be silent!! Say something to poll workers!! Let’s not have a repeat of the 2008 Minnesota election in which that moron Al Franken stole the election. And we need to fight back against ACORN-type outfits who will probably try to engage in voter fraud. Remember, 2010 and 2012 are probably the most critical elections of our lives. They’re our only hope of correcting the foolish mistakes made by voters in 2006 and 2008, respectively. WE NEED TO DEFEAT THIS CURRENT LEFTWING COMMUNIST DEMOCRAP REGIME!!!! Enough said.

What I’m looking at here in Maryland or hoping for is a complete upset in the 5th congressional district. Steny Hoyer the #2 in the house has been the one behind the seens twisting the arms of the blue dogs and insisting on party line votes for every single bill that is bad for our country. On Tuesday my vote is going to Charles Lollar, if a black man running on the republican ticket can’t get elected then I believe no one can take down Steny Hoyer. I do believe there is going to be a conservative avalanch and in any district where voter fraud has been suspected those machines need to be investigated by an independent non-partisan third party. All reports then sent to the DOJ for prosecution.

We already know that the SEIU has had their hands in the voting machines in Nevada, I’ve seen the video and the columes writen about the votes being cast before the individual selects the candidate of choise. The “Rats” will stoop as low as they can get, ensuring their party or person is put in office. We all need to pay particular attention on November 2nd to our voting machine and if you see anything that does look right get some ones attention and rteport it.

So far I’m really surprised; I haven’t seen any comments by the lefties ie; hflash in the pan, eric fist off, boob wire, corn hole minor, duc sarvis, and edwardo. They maybe keeping their distance but I dought it, they will chime in sooner or later spewing their hate filled propaganda and Bush did it to us mantra.

After the way the total idiot, clown, joke and childish comedian Al Franken STOLE the election from Coleman in 2008 I wouldn’t be surprised at anything the THUG DEMS might do. This is a ugly, pathetic, COMEDIAN. The people who voted for this jackass who wouldn’t let Joe Lieberman speak for 2 minutes on the senate floor, ought to have thier citizenship revoked or imprisioned. Just look at this pathetic piece of crap and then you can figure out why our country has hit rock bottom. A SNL, arrogant, radical, liberal piece of human debris is actually voting on laws that affect this ONCE great nation. If Minnesota sends another joke of a human to the senate again they ought to be thrown out of the Union and we’ll just go with 49 states. He is NOT a politician, he is a THUG, COMEDIAN. In my short stint on this planet I’ve learned well the meaning of the old cheer, “the king is dead, long live the king” and “out with the old boss, in with the new boss”. Have we such short memories not to remember this long road to socialism kicked into high gear with Bush Sr. and continued un abated throuch the current socialist in chief. The Tea Party will change nothing, being coopted by the socialist lite Repubiican Party, were back to bickering about Gay marriage, Gays in the Military, Abortion and not the crooks who’ve stolen our electorate and our country. The stooges Beck, Palin, Army… have lead us off the field of play and back to the BLEECHERS, where they can control us.

    • Brad

      Jim,

You need to go back to school and leave politics to the grown ups, right now you have no idea what you are talking about. GHWB had a “Rat” controlled congress so don’t try to go their. Conservatives and tea-party activists have been trying to open our eye’s, all American’s eye’s to the damage the progressive/liberal movement has done to this country. It has taken years and it will take even more time to undo the damage done so far. Today we all need to take responsibility for whom we elect to office, either way it may come back and bite us in our perverbial back side.

Today we have a President who has driven the racial wedge even deeper into our society, called the republican party racists and made racist comments against said party. He has even miss quoted the Declaration of Independence and has called this country a godless nation, canceled the national day of prayer, but allowed muslims to pray during ramadon at the white house and prayed in a mosque.

IMHO our President is a godless man, his only allegiance is to the DNC and a “ONE WORLD ORDER” socialistic society.

Less than a week until the midterm elections. The other day we heard our Marxist-in-Chief BHO say that we have a choice between the policies (or Party) that got us into this economic mess and the policies (or Party) that’s getting us out of this mess. As for the latter, we should know he’s lying about his party and himself!! As for the former, we should all know it’s BHO and his Democraps that got us into this economic mess!! The question we should really ask is: Are we better off now than we were 2-4 years ago?? When BHO took office, we were in what was probably the worst economy since Jimmy Carter’s recession. Now we’re in the worse economy since the Great Depression. We now have a POTUS who added more to our national debt in 21 months than 200 years from Washington to Reagan. Of course, many people may think they’re better off now – that is – the drones, moochers, illegal aliens, potential (mirandized) terrorists and some of the liberal morons who post comments here!!

Got this in an email from the Media Research Center and will share.

    ■ Only conservative/Tea Party candidates cast as “extreme.”
MRC analysts found 35 evening news stories which conveyed the Democratic spin point that conservative and Tea Party candidates are “extreme,” “fringe,” or “out of the mainstream,” vs. ZERO stories conveying the charge that left-wing Democrats are “out of the mainstream”
    ■ Three times more “conservative” labels than “liberal” tags.
Out of 62 ideological labels assigned by reporters, three-fourths (48, or 77%) were aimed at conservatives, vs. just 14 (23%) for liberals. Only Republicans faced extreme labels — both Joe Miller and Christine O’Donnell were tagged as “ultra-conservatives” — with no Democrat ever branded an “ultra-liberal.”

    ■ Adopting Democrats’ campaign agenda
While it’s not on anyone’s list of closest races, the networks devoted the most coverage to Delaware’s Senate race (15 evening news stories), emphasizing O’Donnell’s perceived gaffes. Next: the California Governor’s race (11 stories), emphasizing allegations against GOP nominee Meg Whitman. Rounding out the networks’ Top 5 were Senate races in Alaska, Nevada, and West Virginia, each the focus of four stories.

The Democrats’ strategy to salvage the 2010 campaign was to distract voters from their record over the past two years and paint their opponents as wacky extremists. Win or lose, the Democrats got a lot of help from their friends in the supposedly objective “news” media.

      Thanks, JeffH -
Like I said in another post about a week ago, I’m glad you decided to come back here and hang out, earlier this year. Your posts are logical, reasoned through, organized, undestandable and brought to good conclusions. You write well, use good English, punctuate properly and convey good information. Very importantly, you manage to get your depth of passion accross without making stupid aggressive comments and threats. (I could do better in that respect myself.)
‘Sides that, you display a sense of humor and satire that usually isn’t sarcastic. You’re a credit to yourself and what you stand for.

      Congratulations and thanks.

    HEAVEN AND HELL

While walking down the street one day a Corrupt Senator was tragically hit by a car and died.

His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

“Welcome to heaven,” says St. Peter. “Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we’re not sure what to do with you.”

“No problem, just let me in,” says the Senator.

“Well, I’d like to, but I have orders from the higher ups. What we’ll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity.”

“Really?, I’ve made up my mind. I want to be in heaven,” says the Senator.

“I’m sorry, but we have our rules.”

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.
They played a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and the finest champagne.

Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who is having a good time dancing and telling jokes.

They are all having such a good time that before the Senator realizes it, it is time to go.

Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises.

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens in heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him, “Now it’s time to visit heaven…”

So, 24 hours passed with the Senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

“Well, then, you’ve spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity.”

The Senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: “Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell.”

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell…

Now the doors of the elevator open and he’s in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above

The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulders.

“I don’t understand,” stammers the Senator. “Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there’s just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?”

The devil smiles at him and says,
“Yesterday we were campaigning, Today, you voted..”

Vote wisely on November 2, 2010

      Warrior -

A good man died one day, and up to the Pearly Gates he went.

As he stood there waiting on St. Peter, he notices a bunch of Clocks.

So, here comes St. Peter and he asks him “what’s with all the Clocks?”

St. Peter says: “Oh those… those are LIE CLOCKS.

      – that one there, the one where the hands haven’t moved?
      — that’s Mother Teresa… she’s never told a lie in her entire life.

      – that one over there.. with two clicks on it (?)
      — that’s Abe Lincoln’s clock – he’s only told two lies, ever.

      The Man then asks… “Where’s Obama’s Clock….?

St. Peter: “On, that one(?) .. Jesus keeps that in the Office… as a ceiling fan!”

Gotta agree with S.C. — We really should go back to paper ballots and get rid of the option to hack Voting Computers, so the Results won’t be tainted like they’ve most likely been since AL GORE gave us HANGING CHADS, the Soap Opera.

I remember reading about a Marquette student bragging in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (online – Realclearpolitics.com) about having voted 17 times back in 2000. And, no one in the Media, nor in that State did a thing to him… they all washed it under the rug – both parties. And, yea,… it was a white guy. Like that makes a difference.

All of you remember Bob Livingston’s warning about YOUR retirement savings being confiscated, and rolled into Social Security, right? If not, you deserve to labeled OSTRICH … because the Obama Administration’s unofficial 401(k) nationalization czar, Teresa Ghilarducci — who was dubbed by U.S. News and World Report as “the most dangerous woman in America” after she appeared before Congress to testify in favor of government seizing 401(k)s and other retirement assets. This could be dubbed the October Surprise, we’ve been hearing tell of, on the Wild Web.

If you remember – this was an issue where the DEMS were holding “secret” meetings near the end of 2007 … discussing this very issue. And, the public yawned…. Well, guess what.

Sooner or later … probably later … the public at large will finally get it. They won’t be able to do much, but they will “get it” .. in the backside, with no kiss and no cigarette, either.

SC gets it … I certainly get it .. my posts bear that fact out.
I will not carry anyone else’s water, especially a Politician.

Quite a few of you here, still use high school social habits with your adult lives – your postings prove that, very easily. And, you do know who you are.

It is certainly time for a Revolution – and it will literally be 50% socialists taking on the actual Freedom loving Patriots who remember what the Jeffersonians and the Ben Franklins fought long and hard for.

I’m betting every one of the DEM incumbents on this List are quite well aware of the IRA/401K grab I speak of … maybe your State race should be getting an email list of questions… Think you mightget an answer before you vote next Tuesday?

Thanks, Ben … what’s your take on the ‘other’ Midwestern States?

It seems that the republican party is going to do very good on election day. With that said then why are they so afraid of free speech. Watching the news and there is a republican rally, the goons or thugs for hire go after any democrat or independent that has a question for the person running for office.
Let us keep our free speech. It appears we are losing democracy as the big corporations will be buying out the future elections. This includes international and foreign corporations too!
This is what the supreme court gave us with there decision to have money donated and not accounted for in our elections.
This decision will be working both ways, no matter who is in office. Similar to the way it works now.

    Hello everyone,
I’ve been reading some of the posts, and can tell there are a lot of very upset people here, including myself. There are so many things that have went on for so many months,(ie,health care reform, cap and tax, etc.)If the current administration has it’s way,the Bush tax cuts will be the next thing to go.We’ve been bombarded with a lot of busyness and that brings me to this point. This current regime cares nothing about the citizens of this country,as you well know, and all the rhetoric about helping us is a bait and switch if there ever was one. This administration is all about us being on a level playing field with the rest of the world.I suppose all we can do is try to vote these people out,and hope the next ones in can mend this mess,or at least get the country back to being somewhat recognizable.

There are more than two parties in this country. American Independent Party has got a couple of my votes. One for California Governor and one for California Senate. I can no longer vote for the lesser of two evils. I firmly belive that the leaders of middle class America should be middle class politicians. Maybe I’m wrong but I’m tired of billionaires running my life for me.

Speaking of voter fraud, is there anything more reprehensible than not providing the Military Ballets so that those who are away can vote? Maybe there is recently in the county where I reside absentee ballets were sent to A Democratic Front Org.by the incumbent’s campain Manager. Who has convieniently disappeared. The cause of the furvor was letters sent to voters warning that their right to vote might be taken away if they did not respond. Can you say intimidation / fraud. Local Dems are in denial but the paper trail leads directly back to the Congressman’s campaign manager.
