Hypocrisy Served With Rice

Hypocrisy Served With Rice
PHOTOS.COM

There is no limit to the hypocrisy of the Administration of President Barack Obama. The latest example is the “green” President’s candidate for secretary of state, Susan Rice.

The Democrats have been hypercritical of many Republicans for lining up against a black woman who is Obama’s choice to replace Hilary Clinton to oversee the U.S. Department of State. The race card has once again been tossed into the ring.

Congress’ top-ranking black lawmaker says he suspects Republicans are pillorying Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, because she is black.

Criticism of Rice began after her Sept. 16 comments regarding the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Rice said the attack began as a “spontaneous reaction” to an anti-Islamic video widely watched in the Muslim world that had also set off protests elsewhere.

Later, we learned that simply was not the truth. According to the State Department, the attack that killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans was not some spontaneous outburst but a well-executed attack organized and launched by a terrorist cell of al-Qaida.

Many right-thinking Americans were outraged by Rice’s characterization of the Libyan attack, including Representative Jeff Duncan, R-S.C., who penned a letter to President Barack Obama saying Rice’s public comments after the Benghazi attack “caused irreparable damage to her credibility both at home and around the world.”

According to the letter, which was signed by 96 other Congressmen, Rice “either willfully or incompetently misled the American public in the Benghazi matter.”

It said replacing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with Rice as “the face of U.S. foreign policy” in Obama’s second term “would greatly undermine your desire to improve U.S. relations with the world and continue to build trust with the American people.”

Democrats Play The Race Card

Representative James Clyburn, D-S.C., along with other black Democrats, say upset Republicans continually use variations of the word “incompetent” to describe Rice, a Rhodes Scholar and former senior fellow at The Brookings Institution.

Clyburn, who is the third-ranking House Democrat, told The Washington Post that the Republicans’ choice to be critical of Rice’s remarks is one thing, but calling her incompetent amounts to using racial “code words.”

“We in the South know what that means,” he said. “I take offense when people use those words. I have a problem with them. They are going to disagree with Rice’s politics, but if they do, just say she’s wrong,” Clyburn told The Post. “When you apply the word ‘incompetent,’ that personalizes this thing, it goes beyond politics, because it’s about who and what she is — it’s character assassination.”

If you accept Clyburn’s logic, you can’t say a black person is incompetent. If you do, you are making a racist remark.

And Clyburn isn’t alone in his beliefs. Congressional Black Caucus Chair Marcia Fudge suggested Rice was targeted by the GOP because of her race as well as her sex. (The Democratic Representative from Ohio must have forgotten that the GOP nominated Sarah Palin for Vice President four years ago while a black woman, Condoleezza Rice, was George W. Bush’s Secretary of State.)

Last Wednesday, The Baltimore Sun weighed in the Republican challenge of Rice:

Approval of nominees to cabinet positions is by law the prerogative of the Senate. Certainly the president is entitled to his opinion as to who the nominee should be, but at the same time the Senate is required to state that he has made a mistake.

The president is not omnipotent; he is human in his choices which may involve political considerations and even bias. The Republican Party not only has the right but the duty to question his judgment on any of his cabinet selections, much less one that helps establish our foreign policy.

The Real And Very Rich Susan Rice

Before anybody starts feeling too sorry for Rice, it is important to understand what is really going on with the Democratic Party.

It is politics as usual for the Democrats to portray Obama, a former community organizer on the mean streets of Chicago, and the first lady as people who want nothing more than to help the downtrodden. This fairy tale ignores Michelle Obama’s J. Mendel cap-sleeve jacket that cost $6,800, her $540 Lanvin sneakers or the fact the first family vacations in the ultra-exclusive Martha’s Vineyard.

But the secretary of state, the Nation’s core representative to the world, should exclude politics. And the facts indicate that not only may Rice be incompetent but the Democrats are not being honest about her ability to be an honest broker — especially when it comes to the Mideast, which is in as much or more turmoil right now than it has ever been.

Rice would be the envy of anyone in the oil patch that I have ever met. This poor black woman holds tens of millions of dollars of petroleum stocks locked into a portfolio that makes her look a lot more like J.D. Rockefeller than Rosa Parks.

If this hypocrisy weren’t enough, much of Rice’s money is betting on the future of Canada’s oil sands.

On Earth reports that one-third of Rice’s personal wealth is invested in Canadian energy interests, much of it in Canada’s oil sands industry.

This seems a major conflict for Rice, who has royally screwed the pooch when it comes to reporting honestly about the Mideast.

As her confirmation looms, it is important to remember Arab sands sit atop two-thirds of the world’s conventional oil reserves. Ensuring security in that region won’t be a financial concern for Rice. She has most of her money locked up safely in 12 Canadian oil sands companies — companies that will benefit greatly from a Mideast meltdown.

Planes, Trains And Pipelines

A wonderful movie to watch during the holidays is “Planes, Trains and Automobiles.” In a classic scene the uptight character Neal Page, played by Steve Martin, turns around while sitting on the freeway beside his newfound and troublesome companion Del Griffith, played by the late John Candy. The car that Page believes Griffith rented with his own money is on fire.

“You finally did it to yourself,” says Page laughing.*

In the case of Rice, the Democrats may have finally done it to themselves. Rice’s personal fortune is backing Canada’s oil sands, an industry that is of vital importance to the United States. And while African-Americans in the Democratic Party are enthusiastic to champion her as the future secretary of state, the Greens are not — and for good reason. Huffington Post reports:

(Rice) would oversee the Keystone XL pipeline proposal if appointed to lead the State Department. But the pipeline review isn’t the only environmental issue the next secretary of state will have to handle.

Clinton said earlier this year that energy is a top issue and that the U.S. is reshaping its foreign policy to reflect that. She created a new office within the State Department to deal with energy issues and launched an initiative to attack “short-lived climate pollutants.”

In a recent report, E&E’s Lisa Friedman called Rice’s climate change record “thin,” pointing out that she has done little to fight global warming (this woman can’t be all bad). Friedman quoted Frank Loy, who served as undersecretary of state for global affairs in the Administration of President Bill Clinton, as saying: “She doesn’t have much of a record on climate change issues because they haven’t been really the issues she felt were her job to promote.”

So if Rice is confirmed, there could be silver lining in a dark cloud, if only because she is one of the few Democrats who understand that the Mideast is not a trustworthy supplier of crude oil. Then again, she might be every bit as incompetent as some Republicans say. With the situation in the Mideast the way it is now, that is the last thing that America can endure.

Yours in good times and bad,

–John Myers

* Note: It is fun to remember that in the movie “Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” Steve Martin’s character only thought that John Candy’s character had rented the car. It turned out that Candy’s character used Martin’s character’s credit card to rent it.

Some in the media are still saying it was the anti-Islam movie that was the cause of the attacks in Benghazi. CNN, while doing a story on Rice last week, reiterated that point. So, apparently, no matter what the truth is, the cause, as far as the brain dead media is concerned, was the movie. Obama wants Rice, so they will defend her, and the cowardly Republicans will cave because they are afraid of being labeled racists, a label they already have, so they have nothing to lose, but are too stupid to realize it. Besides, it’s just be another excuse for doing as Obama wants, instead of opposing him as they should do. But, he has become their god and messiah as well.

    • Doc Sarvis

The CNN report that I saw last week was not accepting the idea that the movie was the cause of the attack but that the movie was initially thought to be the cause of the attack.

Rushing to blame Rice for statements she was cleared to make, Republicans are trying to hide the fact that they voted down increases to budget items that would have hardened our overseas diplomatic stations.

IMHO Rice will not work in Americas best interests, nor will she work for Americans, what her true agenda and determination of where her loyalties fall is up for debate:

BECAUSE she has shown no loyalty to America, except to Obama and herself, or to a communist, and personal greed. She has shown she will knowingly lie to the American people and I dont care if she was purple with glowing pink spots, if it was not a lie, she is incompetent.

Rice had access to classified info showing that the attack was from a terrorist group and had nothing to do with a video. Was she incompetent (by that I mean she is not able to do her job not that she is black) because she did not interpret that information correctly or was she intentionally lieing to the Americans and others? Or did she do it because she was told by Obama to lie and agreed to lie because telling the truth might hurt Obama politically? What was the reason she presented false info?

      • eddie47d

NO they are not Tony. Obama supports the Syrian Opposition Council and no other rebel group at this time. Those shown in your story are not a part of the Council. Maybe you make assumptions like Susan Rice did. Doc reported what CNN actually said not what Harold assumed. I think “Conservatives” are the ones who misconstrue the news to suit their agenda.

        • http://www.facebook.com/tony.newbill1 Tony Newbill

Eddie47d The Links in the story proved the connection of these rebel radicals , and the Obama administration needs to work on dividing those factions , not politically dividing his own peaceful civilian society . The politics of class division would be solved with a Flat tax code , do you think the politicians would ever consider this ????

There was plenty of money in the diplomatic budget to react to the security needs of this facility. Instead, a concious decision was made at the highest level to not draw attention to the threat and hope that it would just not be a problem. Unfortunatley, our people put their trust in their government and were left to die when there were hundreds of signs of trouble well in advance. Hillary and Barrack have blood on their hands and Susan Rice helped try to wash it off.
Like Pilot, it will seal their fate.

I will agree with Tony on this one (catbird seat) . Sounds like more Insider Trading going on where she is nothing less than another Elite conning the system to gain wealth. If she is breaking our own trade agreements to do it she can’t be accepted as Secretary of State.

Isn’t it at all interesting that these ‘terrible votes’ didn’t cause this administration to pull the Marine Detachments from Embassies such as the one in Switzerland, but rather the one in Benghazi! Appearently the environment in Switzerland is much more hostile that that in Benghazi!

      • DAY

RICE IS AS INCOMPETENT AS OVOMIT. SHE CARES NOTHING FOR THIS COUNTRY OR THE PEOPLE THAT LIVE HERE. SHE IS A GREEDY OIL TYCOON THAT CARES NOTHING FOR THE PLANET, INVESTING IN OIL.

      • eddie47d

Surflaunch is another Republican talking head with this “blood on their hands” diatribe. Its wrong headed dangerous and rather unpatriotic. In other words done to please the hollowing Republican crowd who demand more blood. Now lets revisit Reagan’s term in comparison since you brought it up. Did terrible events under the Reagan Administration “seal their fate” Not at all Ms hypocrite and Republican troll. The Embassy attack in Lebanon was by far worse where those 71 died and Reagan pulled out. The 241 Marines killed there because of lax security was a travesty to say the least but all Reagan did was cut and run. So should Reagan and his Secretary of State’s Alexander Haig and George Shultz face a Democrat firing squad as the Republicans are demanding of Obama? Why are their different accountability standards for Democrats but not for Republicans ? Why wasn’t Reagan Impeached of the Iran-Contra Affair? Heck Republicans gleefully do it over sex and a white lie so why shouldn’t the Democrats over a more serious event? Should Shultz and Haig been fired over the hundreds and thousands of deaths in Central America? Almost each and every one of them civilians involving dozens of massacures. So will Surflaunch apologize for her double standards? Someone on Saturday said Republicans take responsibility and accountability for what they say and do and admit their errors. I guess we’ll find out if that is true or not!

      • Stephen knorr

Losers like the democrats like to spend other people’s money like water.you bring the race card up all the time. They knew this was happening befor hand an they let it happen. We had seal teams their an were told to stand down 3 times till 2 of them decided to go help against orders of the Muslim usurper. He will be out of office son. As the court cases show his documents are all forgeries.

      • Nadzieja Batki

Why is Rice so willing to lie for O?
By the way, nothing happens in the Middle East that their tribal chieftains don’t know about. So if there are riots, rebellions, etc., permission is given to do them, weapons and ammo are supplied and they are done for the cameras of the world.

      • momo

eddie47d says:”Heck Republicans gleefully do it over sex and a white lie so why shouldn’t the Democrats over a more serious event? ”

That “white lie” was to a grand jury, hence the perjury charge.

      • eddie47d

MOMO: Repeatedly pushed by the Republican opposition when it could have been handled differently. Should the Democrats use the same underhanded tactics over something more serious? I think so yet they didn’t so maybe the Democrats should prosecute Reagan is absentia or Cheney in absentia. If the Republicans want to play hardball then the Democrats should grow a pair and do the same thing, right?

      • Capitalist at Birth

What budget items are those? Can you document your falsehoods? I doubt it. There has been no reductions in spending since 2006. If this administration chose not to spend money on diplomatic security, let them live with the consequences. Just like all other Totalitarian Socialists you think that if you repeat a lie often enough it will be accepted as true. Total Fabrication, typical of the Communist play book.

Obama-Rice a perfect match! Both lier, hypocrite and incompetent.

      • http://wildblue.net bungal

Why would anyone add funding for anywhere when, in an area of very great possibility of conflict those who were there were not even armed! What a bunch of crap this administration is doing to America! Now we are shipping planes to Egypt whose leader just instilled martial law to force their Muslim religion into all the politics. We are now and have been against our own friends of freedom and it is due to Obama and his appointees. Rice has been incompetent because, instead of reporting what she knew she reported what she was allowed! That is denial of her oath of office, period!

      • Chester

Thanks Doc. You know that and I know that, but there are very few on here who will give her credit for telling us what she was AUTHORIZED to release. IF she had come out and said Al Quaida was behind all the dustup before it was officially known, then she would have been out the door for giving out uncertified information.

Doc and what does that last dribble have to do with anything? There were resources to help avalible, they were requested and denied four people were murdered as a result period! Typical liberal schuck and jive (now I suppose I am racist for saying that) to divert attention from the fact that this administration allowed four americans to murdered!

Obama owes Rice and that’s all this is and since most of the media is already operating like we’re a communist nation, it doesn’t get pushed, not with Rice, Clinton or Obama or for that matter any of his czars or cabinet

      • http://www.facebook.com/tony.newbill1 Tony Newbill

I think its more about giving the Islamists that this administration supports the cover from opposition is why Rice is being put up for the job , this is in her past DNA during the Clinton Administration

Where are you getting this information from ?? Both Rice and Peteraus have explained the information she was given (unclassafied) to go on the air with. Were there mistakes, yes. Was it a mistake that C. Rice knew nothing of Al Quada prior to 911, or was it just plain ignorence. It is also a mistake to assume that because some may think the republican party is racist they should overlook it and continue to go after S. Rice. Using that thought it could be assumed that the party should never attempt to reach out to others who may not look or think like they do. How lucky we are that most here are neither republican or conservative., just plain reich wing and do not reflect the thoughts of the GOP as a whole.

      • elba schmitt

Ron how could you say that Rice didn’t know about what was really happening in Benghazi, since in her position she has access to all classified information. She lied over and over, just as Obama lied about the entire situation. She should never be considered to be Secretary of State.I will never understand why Obama wa re-elected. he has no skills in leadership and is not for Americans/America, just for himself. Had he been white, he would have never be elected for the Presidency. Most people simply don’t get it. e schmitt

He even invited the German Communist Party to join him. They sent back, we will not as we think you are mad! I think they were correct! He then had them killed. We have not had a President in our entire American History that has been so much into controlling our lives, including violating his own oath of office using health care as an excuse. Now as before he is after our Amendments. How close to a Hitler does one get before some ignorant do not label them as such? Rice is also a UN anti-freedom supporter and America, as other Countries have their own Constitution. When their oath of office is not violated America has the best of any Constitution. A violation of their oath is reason for impeachment of any Government official!!!

Test to see who is lying. Non-bias independent accounting. If, Ron as you say that Obama doesn’t lie or cheat please explain to all of us how he 108% of registered voters votes in one precinct in Ohio. Seems there was some voter fraud going on there. The sad part is that people like you refuse to accept the fact that government is corrupt. I hope you take note that I did not say that Democrats are corrupt for I meant all politicians. I for one wish that the American people could do away with Party an first be Americans and leave party to the politicians. In every society there are givers and takers but only if the givers allow it to happen. I do believe that there are those that do need help, and I also believe that there are those that are free loaders. There are those that will also vote only to demand being paid for their vote. This country is going down and I can only wonder where those takers will get their free-bees when there is no money left. Common sense is all lost in this society. If Obama wants more revenue put more people to work on real jobs created by private business who will then pay taxes. To give money to the stimulate jobs is just plain stupid. Government money given to pay salaries, that is then taxed creates a loss in revenue. Any person with just a little common sense can understand that concept, but then who would want to be accused of claiming that the American showed good common sense. Good common sense is a rare thing for most people and to those out there that get offended,if the shoe fits wear it if not don’t worry about it.

Harold Olsen says, “Some in the media are still saying it was the anti-Islam movie that was the cause of the attacks in Benghazi.”

It’s factually inarguable that protests did indeed ignite in many countries across the globe as a result of the video. It seems more unfortunate that such widespread reaction took place at the same time of the Benghazi incident, which reasonably skewed the lines of causation, than any real attempt by media, President, and so forth, to cover anything up. I think if there was any real attempt to do so, we would know a whole lot less than we do at this point.

“Is Hillay Clinton stepping down to make room for Rice because someone claiming illness is usually a first step out the door?”

Hillary has been saying, for the last 4 years, that she was only going to serve on 4-year term, whether Obama was elected to a second one or not. She has, also, said repeatedly that she will not run for any other office.

Using Conde Rice or any other Republican black or hispanic to point out that Repubs are no more racist than any other part of society won’t work. Black Repubs are Uncle Toms and hispanic repubs are whatever their word for Uncle Tom is. If you’re anything but white and not a dem, then you’re a race traitor. Dems absolutely believe in freedom of choice. The choice is their way or go away.

Martial law has been instilled by their ruler and a new directive for absolute control by the Muslim belief system. If you ever read what they call their bible, it states to kill all infidels! It means anyone who is not Muslim or those who refuse to be. I am more interested in keeping our rights here, but it should be obvious whose side Obama and Rice will support. Not our freedom loving friends, for sure.

Hey close minded idiot, Watch something besides M.S.N.B.C. Open your mind to another point of view, do your own research and make you decisions instead of just sitting back and only listening to those suit you thinking. I listen to all sides and do not see one side always right or wrong. I have my own mind and do my own research and then decide, This is my country and my mind and no one is going to tell me how and what to think. Get the message.

      • Ron r

now now capitalist, let’s play nice no name calling when someone disagrees with you and Fixed/Fox News.

      • ron . r

Kay, every time I hear about the so-called main stream media and their so – called obsession with hiding the truth, I think of pages like this, WND, Briebart, and other conspiracy theorist who still believe that the civil war was fought over states’ rights, that Abe Lincoln shot john Wilkes Booth and that Obama and his negro army will take over the United States and remove John Boehner from his bar stool. If the so-called main stream media is so bad, why haven’t truther media made a better showing than it has? Why is it that the only ones who believe the crap coming from the above mentioned continue to do what sane people of both parties pray they continue to do?? Stay on pages like this one and stay away from serious conversation.

Now you know how I felt when the SCOTUS awarded Bush the presidency. Its ok when it happens to others, but when you guys come up short you can’t stand it. Everyone and everything is a fraud. Get over it. You have four more years to do one of two things. Keep up this crap by staying on pages like this, or get out the vote and the message over the next four years. The few of you that have managed to get beyond thunder Dome have managed to screw up congress even more. We did however, for the good of America get rid of that insane Allen West. YOU LOST so stop crying. H. Clinton 2016!!!!!

I don’t take credit for this, but I thought I would share because I thought it was funny: The race card has been played so often that they’ve worn the teats of the queen. Enjoy and don’t forget to laugh. It’s good for the soul.

      • Steve E

They always blame it on racism, sexism, class warfare, and Bush. That’s all they know how to do. That’s all you hear from them. They are all retarded, and the ones that believe them are also retarded.

        • Terry Hyland

I really wish they were retarded! The sad thing is that there is a sinester plan to all they do! WE are being played….by them and the Media!

      • eddie47d

Your too simplistic Steve E and you will never get it. Its not all about Big Government and the Liberals did this or that. I have heard hundreds of racial comments made by supposedly Conservatives for over 3 years now. The same with sexist comments so who is really pushing the buttons. Apparently you don’t read what other Conservatives say or are blind to what they say on this site. Considering that you blame Obama for every ill you have then that makes you a hypocrite on saying Bush has no enfluence in the conversation. “Class warfare”? Wow! The simple fact that the wealthy Elites screwed this country for personal greed ,err benefits should be a wake up call in who is causing that warfare. The Elite takers just kept on taking even more without a care in the world how our economy was going into meltdown. Maybe someday you will get it!

      • Steve E

eddy, you say “hundreds of racial comments made by supposedly Conservatives for over 3 years now. The same with sexist comments so who is really pushing the buttons”. That all in your imaginary liberal mentally disordered head. That is not what they are saying. You are just like the rest of the mentally deranged liberals.

      • eddie47d

Those who like to pile all Liberals into one category (you) shouldn’t mind if Liberals pile all Conservatives into one category. Look at Josz’s (7:28) comment for that is what I was talking about.

Bush was incompetent. I believe John McCain is incompetent. I believe
Col. West makes Obama look like a “sitting in the corner” dunce.
    How racist is that?

    • Ron r

Nothing racist in what you write or think Graybaron. I am black and i think Col. West is a bat crap crazy former middle of the road officer who would have never made it past past the rank of Full Col. As for Ms. Rice ,she gave the unclassifgied version on TV. Unless you think the former CIA director was also lying. Rice will replace H. Clinton if the President wants and McCain can go on being a grumpy old man who was willing to put an idiot like S. Pallin one heart beat away from the big chair. How un professional was that. I question his judgement daily.

      • MsJ

        Agree wholeheartedly.

      • Flashy

Don’t forget, McCain thought palin would be a better choice than Mitt romney. Scary eh? Either mcCain is a total nut job these days with an amazing lack of good judgment, or we had the GOP candidate which comes up short compared to ‘You can see Russia from my backyard’ Palin…

      • Hedgehog

Yeah, and O’dogma was willing to have Joe Biden one heartbeat away from the big chair, twice! Sarah Palin is one hell of a lot smarter than Joe Biden will ever be. O’dogma is bad enough, but Joe makes me want to write letters to our Canadian government urging them to start building nuclear, chemical and biological weapons before it’s too late.

      • Kay

Col. Allen West should be president. You are very misguided in your assessment of Col. West, because unlike the current illegal muslim in the whitehouse, he is a very intelligent, pro-American asset to this country. There is absolutely no comparison between West and Obama, so quit insulting REAL Americans with your liberal commie comments. It worries me that you actually believe the lies of the current regime.

        • http://www.boblivingstonletter.com/ Bob Livingston

          Dear Kay,

You write: “Col. Allen West should be president.” Mr. West believes it’s the job of the government to detain Americans on a whim and hold them indefinitely without trial (NDAA). He supports secret surveillance of Americans (USA Patriot Act). In short, he doesn’t believe the Constitution and Bill of Rights applies to all Americans. Mr. West is a CINO (see http://personalliberty.com/2012/12/10/no-room-for-conservatives-in-the-gop/). In short, it’s good riddance to him and his ilk.

          Best wishes,
          Bob

Flashman says — “‘You can see Russia from my backyard’ Palin…”.
With all the time you’ve been on this board, shilling for the administration, do you really expect anybody to believe that you don’t know the truth of what Palin really said?
I pronounce you as Liar. But it certainly wouldn’t be the first time.
What did Sarah Palin really say? This — “They’re our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska”.
Is that true? Of course it is:

Kay: Obama is not and “illegal muslim” but what can we expect from a lying Republican? Alan West like all politicians have their good points and bad ones. He is a huge supporter of foreign intervention and continual wars which has not been good for our country. We need someone with a backbone who will say no to those wars and that kind of politician is hard to find.

Well, ~ Believing ~and knowing are to different things. ~ You can base your decisions on ether, while being correct 50% of the time is not really a major feat.

Jimmy Carter had the highest IQ of any president to date yet his failing was to assume that he was among piers that held noble intentions.

44 has served us well in the cleanup of 43. That this clean-up has not been done quickly enough is for you to believe anything that serves you best.

It’s taking a big 7 trillion dollar handiwipe and a lot of time to clean up the blood spilled of 9,700 coalition forces.

Getmo for example, ~ closing a storage facility that has went about manufacturing criminals and enemies of the West for the last 10 years and now wishes to let them go ~ but go where? As few civilized nation want them after what they have been subjected too and what they have been turned into, known full well, a peaceful existence for them would be next to impossible.

bungal, in the words of one great WWll General. He (West ) is at best a mediocre commander. As a former military person myself I am aware that Mr. West higest level of military education was the command and general staff college, which is part of the normal progression, but he never made it to the army war college which is I beleive the next step.one of his awards was themeritorious service ribon of which I have two. I respect Mr. West for his service. he put himself in harms way and never ask questions. he was a soldier. But looking at his time in service and where he was prior to being ask to leave he was mediocre and bat crap crazy.

  • hanna

I am throughly fed up with the race issue and the race card pulled out whenever America wishes to hold someone accountable for their bad behavior. Victim of the knock out game(this is a game blacks on east coast are playing, it entails finding a white man/women and walking up to them and punching them in the face,in many cases these injuries are life threatening) But these blacks who are harming whites are not arrested over fear of ‘offending’ their race! And worked and studied hard for that promotion? Forget it,if your white and the other fellow is black and wants the same promotion, he will get it because of his skin color regardless if he is less qualified. Our country is becoming like Detroit, broken down and dngerous , all because we don’t want to ‘offend’ our tormenters.

    • Paul Wells

Exactly right, hanna…let’s pull the curtain back on the “racist” card, and see what is really behind it. It is there to distort, and distract, and prevent any real dialogue from happening. It is an implicit demand for special treatment, an offense to a lot of people who are no more racist than anyone else. Once the names fly…the thinking stops. And there goes rational, intelligent thought!

      • BELIEVER

The race card makes me ill – ovomit is 50% black and 50% WHITE – what part is being
used – I think if he was purple he would still be incompetent.

        • http://www.facebook.com/tony.newbill1 Tony Newbill

BELIEVER everyone’s blood is red and when breakdown in society happens that is the only thing we see so it should be the only thing we see as the reason why we must find a way to work together for the common good . When we approach life on a positive regardless of the opposition the vibration is a sensation of hope not despair . If this is done on a Local , community level then its effects are immediate , but if it becomes a Top down duty of the Central Planners the Effects are more of a One size fits all , and that creates cracks that doesn’t usually include the indiviudal and some are lost through the cracks .
I know that it seems like we been seeing this happen for a while and its true because our economic system was taken hostages some years ago , I believe it was in 1994-5 with the Passage of the WTO Free Trade Agreement that has taken away our USA economic meaning of Life , its anyone’s meaning in Life , that is to be a self Providing society …… but the Globalists had a Plan in mind when they set upon this journey to consolidate this self preservation system we called our US Economic and Monetary Policy that up until 1913 was controlled by the US House of representatives and we the people made the decisions on how Our Money would be best Spent on creating our needs in our communities !!!! To break these chains that bind us of our economic liberties we must break this hold on our monetary Policy , this is one thing I can agree with Ron Paul on !!!!!

      • GALT

Wouldn’t that imply that the species was capable of rational and intelligent

If you want a forecast of where our black/white relations are heading, I suggest you read Iliana Mercer’s book “Into The Cannibal’s Pot”. The book is well written and provides a history of how political correctness, tyranny of the majority, rather than the rule of law, has destroyed countless lives in South Africa. Conditions that we are starting to see here in America. Be forewarned…there is still time to avoid cultural suicide, unlike the naive white South Africans, who believed the lies of the communist ANC and Mandela. They are paying the ultimate price today for their poor judgement.

It is interesting that this past week on the Charlie Rose show he interviews in an hour long interview Bob Gates (former secretary of defense picked by GW and keep on by Obama) who was very clearly stated how intelligent and competent Obama is and that he felt he was well qualified and bragged in foreign affairs he was a great leader. and another night he interviewed Jeff Immelt, the current CEO of General Electric and chairman of Obama’s jobs council whom was even more forthcoming with his praise of Obama both domestically and on foreign affairs and he said after working with him over time he said he is a great leader one whom listens well and is decisive and makes good decisions, is cooperative with business but criticized congress for not doing so and gave examples but the most surprising statement was that he said that GE does business in 140 countries and he did not recall a president that was so admired and revered in foreign countries as Obama he said throughout the world they love this guy. These two men know him very well and have worked hand and hand with Obama and Gates is now retired and a Republican, I do not know Immelt’s political party and they brag about him and then these know nothings on here rake him over the coals in the vilest of manner and say the american people have been duped in to voting for him and other stupid reasons for him being reelected when evidence galore is out there showing clearly they made a great choice. To know this you have to get information from other sources than FOX and all these far right propaganda sites that have sprang up all over the internet spreading all these lies and hate so commonly expressed on this site, This post is not my words but those of highly respected individuals who know Obama well and have worked side by side with him. Open minded people listen to many sources of info including all the BS on here and I believe it was open minded people that voted for Obama and that is the real reason he got four more years.

Why put her in a higher position if she couldn’t do the othr job she was hired to do. Obama and his administration lied from the get go and now we should believe him. Nothing has changed to the fact that we have a socialist running the country and he is trying to put nieve people who will just follow his lead no matter where it takes them. So by “nieve”? did you mean:

constant, dedicated, devoted, devout, down-the-line, fast, good, faithful, pious, staunch (also stanch), steadfast, steady, true, true-blue, loyal

      or

aw-shucks, dewy, dewy-eyed, green, ingenuous, innocent, naïf (or naif), primitive, simple, simpleminded, uncritical, unknowing, unsophisticated, unsuspecting, unsuspicious, unwary, unworldly, wide-eyed

by contrast, given your hiring preferences, you would choose:

disloyal, faithless, false, fickle, inconstant, perfidious, recreant, traitorous, treacherous, unfaithful, untrue

      over:

cosmopolitan, experienced, knowing, sophisticated, worldly, worldly-wise?

and if the latter, how can you be sure…..you would be able to
      tell the difference?

“But the secretary of state, the Nation’s core representative to the world, should exclude politics”

Correct. The President should be able to decide his Cabinet..the Senate ‘advises and consents’ to the appointment. Note the letter which Mr. Myers highlights…as well as Clyburns statements, are from the House…they have no dawg in the fight except to lob bombs and make political hay and headlines.

When Bush II nominated Bolton to the UN position, Bolton was fried by the sdems. he had no ‘people skills” and was a radical extremist in ideology. Face it..he was a jerk that wouldn’t deviate from ideological purity..not good skills for a diplomat. Rice will face the same frying pan if she goes up for nomination. Such is politics as played in DC these days.

However, benghazi is a bum rap to lay on her. She is the UN ambassador. She was given a script vetted by the CIA. She stuck with the script. Had she deviated…she’d have been pilloried for going outside security cleared talking points. Even if she knew something other than what was being ut out to the media…she coldn’t deviate from the script.

Benghazi is a question. In past posts, it’s been spelled out that something was going on in Benghazi which we may not want open to the public. The Ambassador could have ordered up security for his own protection. he didn’t. It was a closed meeting with former military intel and a CIA connected contractor. Al Qaeda wasted some valuable assets to carry out the attack. For the first time ever, a ME leader went on national TV and publicly apologized to the US (in Arabic AND English). Romney made a big fuss over Benghazi…then he received his intel briefing..and shut up. He never brought it up again.

Put it together. Something was going on at Benghazi, and it wasn’t post dinner dessert conversation over tea and crumpets. If so, it is totally understandable there’d have to be a cover story to protect assets and intel from exposure.

As for her investments in Canada…Myers is correct. Greens are aghast, those who desire neutrality from oil in the ME should be smiling. Bottom line is, she does assure that any stance she takes in the administration towards the ME will be one of neutrality from any hint of financial concerns. Think about that. Not being reliant on Middle East oil gives a measure of independence to her approach of ME affairs.

According to FERC, non-hydro renewable sources (i.e., biomass, geothermal, solar, wind) provided 5.76% of net electrical generation for the first half of 2012. hydro was 7.86%. We went from a 3% energy capacity in 2008 to almost 14% today. In 2012, Alternative energy production was up 11% ovr 2011. Since president Obama took office, Solar increased by 97.2% wind 16.3% and geothermal by 0.2%.

Is neutrality from ME oil a bad thing?

Given that this is, according to you:

comprehensive knowledge on the subject of energy:

These “questions” should not be problematic……as the answers to them would
        be either yes or no?

      • DaveH

Read the book, Galt, so you can report to us any wrong statements.

      • GALT

The question to you was…….HAVE YOU READ THE BOOK?

If the answer is yes…….then the other questions are easy……….

Or course, you may not understand the questions…….in which case I will be
        happy to clarify them…..as stated.

      • Flashy

Galt…he never read the book. Count on that

      • DaveH

        Galt,
I’m sorry to neglect you so much. Please don’t turn me in to CPS.
You see, if I have so much trouble slogging through your Pigeon English, I’m not real concerned that the ignorant people will be able to understand what it is you’re trying to say. And they’re the only ones who might buy your Socialist message. So why should I bother responding to you?
Maybe you could have Flashman translate for you? I understand he’s good at that sort of thing.

      • GALT

I don’t feel neglected DavidH…….you are doing what you have always done,
which is to avoid, by any means necessary…… the exposure of your deficient ability
to logically defend any of the “ideas” you claim that others should accept, based
on your CLAIM, that they are “in fact” what YOU say they ARE!

“You see, if I have so much trouble slogging through your Pigeon English, I’m not real concerned that the ignorant people will be able to understand what it is you’re trying to say. “

You found the question. Did you read the book?difficult to slog through?

Do you require a multiple choice set of answers from which to select?

        a.) Yes
        b.) No
c.) I refuse to answer, having read the book, because I would then have to answer
the additional questions that were asked concerning it?
d.) I refuse to answer, having not read the book, because then I will confirm I am
the complete idiot that others suspect I am, for recommending something I have not
read while claiming that it is: “For those who would like to get comprehensive knowledge on the subject of energy:”

Does that make it easier for you, DavidH?

And they’re the only ones who might buy your Socialist message. So why should I bother responding to you?

Which again poses the mysterious “self contradiction” of why “YOU ARE
        RESPONDING?
to tell me, you can’t be bothered to respond.

I am sure the truly “ignorant” here will “admire” another demonstration of
your “intellectual prowess”………as they so often demonstrate the “identical
compulsion” for “mindless contributions”………in the “name of liberty” while conveniently avoiding the “required responsibility” that must be present, in the free exercise
        thereof?

I suppose you can “hope” that what you say is TRUE, regarding the “result” of
the “message”………you may even be “right” regarding it’s acceptance…….
after all “willfull ignorance” is by definition “willfull”.

That which is TRUE, on the other hand, does not require agreement, in the
REALITY which it reveals……….no matter how much HOPE you have invested
in “wishing” that it were not true.

So, once again:Did you READ the BOOK?

    • DaveH

Flashman asks — “Is neutrality from ME oil a bad thing?”.
Is wasting our financial and physical resources on inefficient alternative energies a good thing?
Don’t we play right into the hands of our Middle-East enemies by impoverishing our country?
The Case against Government Support for Alternative Energy:
      http://www.cato.org/publications/commentary/case-against-government-support-alternative-energy

      • Flashy

DaveH..According to the Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) 2012 National Energy Outlook , the total cost of wind energy without federal tax and other financial incentives is about 9.7 cents/kilowatt-hour. The total cost of conventional coal without federal tax and other financial incentives is about 9.4 cents/kilowatt-hour.

Now add in that alternative will become cheaper as tech and production increases…and you have…wow…break even.

next…see if you can figure this out. Alternative energy . Who says it has to be on the main grid?

      • GALT

Now this “link” actually answers those questions,

“Getting prices right would change the energy status quo but allow actors to find the best option through trial and error with their own money. We don’t know whether alternative fuels (solar or wind), better controls on existing fuels (clean coal), a different mix of existing fuels (more nuclear), or energy conservation is more cost effective, and thus markets rather than government should decide. And even if we were confident about such things given the current state of knowledge, allowing markets to sort through the choices allows for a rapid change in investment patterns should technology change. Markets respond more quickly and more efficiently to changing economic conditions than do political or regulatory bodies.”

        The answer is NO!!!!!!!

The “free market” has given us B.eyond P.etroleum………( which seems to have
magically vanished as a *marketing approach. )

Why is it that the mythology of “economics” in the consideration of “markets”,
would not consider the question of the actual potential for so called “rational or
intelligent” thought among the participants, based on the history of behavior
which is already known to us?

If it was based on the “evidence” of history…….that “governments” exist, seems
to suggest that “rational and intelligent” behavior, is NOT the expected outcome
when “individual participants” are left to their own devices. ( and the result of
“governments” ability to alter this, and it’s failure to do so…….makes the assumption
of any “expectation” of results that would be considered “rational or intelligent”
by “intent”, even less probable. )

In the face of this rather obvious evidence……..can any “intelligent or rational”
person, believe that *free markets…….are the “solution” to anything?

Hypothetically……lets consider a *free market approach, which by necessity
presumes “intelligent and rational” behavior from all participants.

If this were TRUE, why does Alcoholic’s Anonymous exist?

If “intelligent and rational” behavior is a requirement…….or a rational expectation
regarding behavior…….why are there alcoholic’s in the first place?

Pursuing this *free market approach…….just one more step, why are A.A. meetings
not held in “bars”……..after having strayed by some “momentary lapse of intelligent
and rational behavior”……….and regaining it…….since the attendance at the meeting
is an acceptance of the problem…….what difference does it make where the
meeting is held or what refreshments are available?

Given the fact that everything we know about ourselves indicates that there is
no evidence that we have ever acted “intelligently or rationally”……..nor have this
expectation of others………why would someone who was “rational or intelligent”
propose as a solution……..which assumes and requires a condition, something
of which we are not capable of………..to ANY problem, let alone construct
an entire philosophical edifice………based on axiom which is obviously FALSE?

Of course, the fact that such a proposition can be made persistently, might be
indicative of the “rational intelligence” of those who believe it and expect others
        to also?

The only way to truly determine the cost of various alternative energies is to let Private companies invest their own money and then sell that energy to the public without Government involvement. If indeed, that source of energy is cost effective, those companies will make a profit and survive. Those who create an efficient source of energy production will have the added advantage of Liberal customers who will gladly bias their energy purchases toward their pet types of energy production. You know, putting their money where their mouths are, instead of putting OUR money where their mouths are.

most cursory examination, is completely inconsistent and devoid of any connection
        to REALITY!!!!!!

a brief excerpt from the book Econned.

“In 1776, Adam Smith published The Wealth of Nations. In it he argued that the uncoordinated actions of large numbers of individuals, each acting out of self interest, sometimes produced , as if by “an invisible hand,”results that were beneficial to broader society. Smith also pointed out that self interested actions frequently led to injustice or even ruin. He fiercely criticized both how employers colluded with each other to keep wages low, as well as the ” savage injustice ” that European mercantilist interests had “commited with impunity” in colonies in Asia and the Americas.

Smith’s ideas were cherry picked and turned into a simplistic ideology that now dominates university economics departments. This theory proclaims that the “invisible hand” ensures that economic interest will always lead to the best outcomes imaginable. It follows that any restrictions on the profit seeking activities of individuals and corporations interfere with this invisible hand, and therefor are “inefficient” and nonsensical.

According to this line of thinking, individuals have perfect knowledge both of what they want and everything happening in the world at large, and so they pass there lives making intelligent decisions. Prices may change in ways that appear random, but this randomness follows predictable and unchanging rules and is never violently chaotic. It is therefore possible for corporations to use clever techniques to reduce and even eliminate the risks associated with their business. The result is a stable productive economy that represents the apex of civilization.

This heartwarming picture airbrushes out nearly all of the real business world.”

Your only response to this has been: ( paraphrased ) “No one is perfect.”

Which seems to indicate that you are completely clueless as to the implications
of your answer……..do you require assistance in this regard?

Daddy Bush said “Read my lips” and Obama said Obamacare won’t make anyone’s taxes go up and everyone can keep their healthcare. Rice is a proven liar (as is most every other member of the 1% in the D.C. cesspool). She claimed for days and with knowledge that it wasn’t so, that the attack was “spontaneous” and resulting from “a YouTube video.” Her “assurance” is worth less than a fiat dollar.

I watched her appearance on meet the press and other shows and she said as far as we know, she never stated any of that as a FACT as the investigation was still ongoing and she said that too. Maybe the GOP should be waiting for the investigation to be complete before they rush to attack ANYONE about ANYthing. DID anyone here call Condoleeza Rice Incompetent for saying that Iraq was in possession of WMDs when it is clear now that they didnt? I dont ever remember anyone saying anything like that about her. I think all of this is just making a big deal about ANYONE Obama tried to appoint to ANY cabinet position.

          Dear Johnny,

You write: “DID anyone here call Condoleeza Rice Incompetent for saying that Iraq was in possession of WMDs when it is clear now that they didnt (sic)?” PLD did not exist until the fall of 2008, so your question is irrelevant. However, in my newsletter, The Bob Livingston Letter (www.boblivingstonletter.com, subscription required) I wrote often of the lies of the Bush administration, including those revolving around the events of 9/11 and the run-up to the Iraq war. You can go back read some of my posts since 2008 and see that I was no fan either Bush, nor their neocon staff members.

You write: ” I dont ever remember anyone saying anything like that about her.” Again, as this site did not exist, what you “remember” is irrelevant.

Couldn’t have put it any better. These green behind the ears partisans will do or say anything their respective party feeds them enough pablum for. The grain-belt bible-thumpers couldn’t see that the NeoCons had hijacked their Republican Party and now these loons are so starry-eyed over supporting Hope and Change that they can’t even see the cookie cutter policies piggy-backing the Bush Administration.

Unfortunately, it will these brain-dead political supporters on BOTH sides who wind up destroying this country because they were both so blindly clinging to past ideologies that they missed the boat on learning about the true intentions of the globalists.

Bush Sr., Rumsfeld, Cheney, and Wolfowitz all came out of the Nixon Administration, secretly pushing globalism behind the voters’ backs, but Carter had over 400 Trilateralist appointments to his administration, further followed by that POS Clinton and now Obama. While the hard core Obama apologists will be arrogantly asserting that all that was true of the Republican Party, they will emphatically deny it to be so of the party they now embrace.

What they (people on BOTH sides of the political spectrum) don’t understand is that they are being used like a two dollar whore in a game of propaganda for world domination. When, hopefully, some day, they wake up out of their stupor, perhaps then this country might have a chance, because if these bozos haven’t learned the truth by the time the UN troops are given their marching orders to come in and “save us”, it will all be over. Many lives will be lost and these morons will have no clue as to how their ignorance had played a necessary part in it all. As you referred to, it has nothing to do with political ideologies. It does, however, have everything to do with corruption and treason.

without commenting upon your “assurances” she is untrustworthy and lyin’ … I will clarify the remark you quote from my post. i was referring to her not being invested in Middle East oil concerns..and that any stance she does indeed tak and advise will not be because she would stand to lose money from having such investments. being heavily invested in Canadian oil concerns, should ensure any stance would not be one calculated to keep the US involved and reliant upon middle East oil …

Pretty obvious the statements she initially made were what was funneled to her by those responsible for getting updates to the Oval Office. She’s no different from any other public person who relies on others to confirm information before passing it on. No big deal and it matters not what her skin color is. She’s educated, accomplished and like her predecessors smart enough to build a portfolio that’s quite impressive. So what? Have any other Secy’s of State come into their positions poor? Gone out wealthy because of having held that position? The answer is no.

So why all the hellraising about a very intelligent capable woman who is more than likely going to be the next SOS. Pipe the hell down and focus on what’s happening with that fairy tale Fiscal Cliff and Right to Work [expletive deleted]. If WWIII is declared red states and blue states will be giving up bodies “for the cause.” When that happens every affected family will get their attention pointed in the right direction instead of playing these dumbass black/white games.

As it is we’re a laughing stock of the whole world–with one exception as of yesterday– a multi-colored/multi-ethnic crowd of 15,000 raised their voices as one against Right to Work in Michigan. How about doing something for We The People instead of behaving like the Hatfields and the McCoys? Race hate isn’t going to do us in crooked “public servants” way up top are and guess what? The doing in is integrated. Working hard, being deprived of a pension, having CEO’s waltz off with pension money isn’t happening to one segment. It’s happening to people from all walks of life and the thieves aren’t focusing on the race card.

Like Madorff the liars and con artists are ripping of any and everyone regardless of race, creed, color, religion, ethnicity or political affiliation. Now that’s what I call a unified BOHICA. Wake the hell up and start behaving like Americans. Obviously the House and Senate have forgotten how–and those along with how they’ve forgotten about you and me.

One of the more telling observations that can be deduced as it pertains to
the behavior of the “talking hominid” is the desire for “immediate answers”
to questions for which there is insufficient information available to provide an
      accurate assessment.

Historically, this condition has never resulted in the “admission” of the lack
of any information, regarding the pressing need to know, what is not known, and
“just the facts, ma’am”, is never sufficient.

We take you now to the scene of a “live” press conference in an alternate reality,
where the first “crash” ( ever ) of a passenger aircraft, has just taken place.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we have just received “information”, that Pigeon Airlines,
Flight 345.25 has just crashed in a remote area of the Arch Duchy of Gran Fenwick.
      We will now take questions.”

      “Were there any survivors?”

“We do not have that information at this time.”

“Do you know what caused the crash?”

      “Yes.”

“Will you tell us what is was?”

” Our experts on the matter have concluded that “gravity” was responsible.”

      “Are they certain?”

” To within a 99.9999999999999999999999999% probability, give or take.”

This blog is typical of the small minded and petty GOP pundit’s rantings. So John Meyers, you are in the same league as Paul Morris and Carl Rove. We have learned from the election that most of what they say is not factual but political and ideological. This fixation on what Susan Rice said, on a few days into this tragedy is very similar to the inquiry in the fast and furious with senator Isis. The GOP are fixated on an issue that they think that they can gain political capital and they seem desperate to win on some issue. Little do they realize in their pig headed ideology that this is not a winning issue and they should have let it go, as they are not going to gain anything by beating this issue ad-nausea. There are much more important issues that need their full concentration like the fiscal cliff.
Susan Rice would be a more than qualified secretary of state for the USA. Certainly better than John McCain. He stood up in congress telling them that Saddam had WMD’s and was instrumental to send America to war in Iraq and they knew that was a lie. If you would rate these two politicians as to the severity of their lies or misinformation then McCain would get a 100 and Susan Rice about a 10. So who is McCain to criticize Ms. Rice.
As far as going on about her investments and net worth as well as vacationing in cape cod. My god. Just add all of the other politicians that put their fortunes in oil and other questionable investments. I do still think that Americans have freedom to invest in what ever manner then feel. Isn’t it the GOP mantra for more freedom? haha what hypocrites. Did you complain about Bush and Cheney having shares in oil companies and Halliburton during the Iraq war. My god, this was much more sleazy. So get off your high horses.
GOP this is a dead issue. Let it go.
One of the reasons that McCain and company are beating this dead horse if to get Senator John Kerry to give up his senate seat and therefore the state laws would have to temporarily install past Senator Scott Brown into the Senate. This would give the GOP one more seat in the senate. As usual the GOP rants are not on cause but based on political motives. Will you guys never give up? You lost the election. One big reason is the nasty political moves that you constantly conjure up. This turns off many independents. Its the old adage that a good politician is a lie-er and a cheat and when he is not kissing babies he is stealing their lollypops. Tricks and underhanded things that the GOP are capable of doing is unbelievable. Please get on with the jobs that you were elected to do. Govern the country. get to work and earn your paychecks.
You GOP pundits should have learned after getting all of your predictions and lies during the election to back off and eat some crow and be truthful for a while. I know that your income is based on getting the dander up on the faithful right patriots. I also know that this blog is slanted to them. But give us a break. How stupid do you think that the American people are? This is from an independent that is just sick of listening to the GOP pundits, living under the bubble. Take my advice and leave Susan Rice alone!
We would have much more respect for your opinions if you didn’t insist on keeping silly topics on your daily rants. warm regards. Nick Czudy

@Barb: Being from the South, the senator from SC is on his own. No DECENT, LAW ABIDING SOUTHERNOR would ever consider “incompetent” as a “code-word for racist” as he claims. Face it, the senator of SC is a communist/socialist piece of nothing and he falsely assumes he can speak for all of us. We are Patriotic people, love our country, and depise those who would cast a slur of any kind onto our US Constitution.

    • eddie47d

  • Terry Hyland

WHY?…….do we continue to allow dems to use the “phoney” race card!?!? Somehow if we question anyone of color, it has to be racism! IT IS EQUALLY RACIST to allow incompetance or lack of integrity to exist in any form strictly because of color! Susan Rice has demonstrated VERY CLEARLY that she lacks integrity! Anyone with a brain…can clearly see that to be true! ANYONE who serves to promote a particular race, or group of people, is UNQUALIFIED for the PUBLIC trust! PERIOD! End of story!

    • Mable8

It is usually the Negro who claims “racism” when they are questioned about their abilities to perform their duties appropriately or when they are called on for something they have done wrong. There are some who do not believe in accountability or responsibillity for their own actions and play the blame game at every possible opportunity. Susan Rice and her el heffe, yobammy, are so far incompetent, they lack the IQ of a gnat. She should NOT be affirmed if yobammy tries to name her as Sec of State.

After going over several of the posts here one can only conclude how alive and well racism and sexism is in America today. We have a long way to go America to clean up our act and purify the minds of the common man that falsely believes he stands above others and for some idiotic reason may think they are the chosen ones.So many fools.

jopa you said , ” the common man that falsely believes he stands above others and for some idiotic reason may think they are the chosen ones” .

I agree and this disease you speak of is exactly whats wrong with our elected officials on both sides of the isle and for sure the ones that have been their for an entire Life time ! Term Limits would stop the Ideology that permeates the minds of these people who become as dependent on the Government that was founded with the belief that being Independent of Government is Best , as these Ideologues Pass law after law that enshrines themselves with the Power of the Chair in which they continue to sit in forever as they consider themselves the only smart ones in the room .

And with these term limits for elected officials so should the Bureaucrats that stay in DC and become influential Powers over the Lobbyists that have circled the area around DC and is Blocking the Air for Liberty to Represent the society of the USA , they all must be changed like the Underwear that becomes toxic with the gases of Greed for oneself as society rots from this stink of serfdom !!!

There was plenty of money in the diplomatic budget to react to the security needs of the facility in Libya.
They should have told the truth from the beginning. We are a forgiving people but have a low tolerance for being misled or outright lied to.
Rice is a damaged commodity and will hang on Obama like an albotross if he insists on her appointment.

seriously………..if you paid attention to MITTENS, he lied every time he opened his mouth….he switched positions at one point or another on every single major issue and didnt have any kind of a firm position on anything other than the fact that he wanted to be President. His allegiance shifted depending on who he stood in front of, he LIED in the debates and you people hated Obama so much that none of that bothered you as long as he won. Republicans wanted someone without any convictions that could be their rubber stamp for any stupid legislation they want to pass. And they still dont learn. Now Michigan REPUBLICANS are trying to weaken unions and same for others in the GOP…..you run on one thing and then when you get into office you do something else that wasnt a part of your campaign

      “illegal, lying, Muslim Kenyigar”

The only people who still believe this are the insane. There is such a mountain of facts that prove, without a doubt, that Obama was born in Hawaii, and that he is a Christian, that it takes a whole lot of plain denial to believe otherwise.

Look up what the State of Hawaii had to say about Obama’s birth certificate (don’t look up Arpaio, he has no proof of anything, he’s just grandstanding as usual.), look up what all the officials in Hawaii have to say about where Obama was born. Look at what reliable people (not the crazy’s at wnd, fox, breitbart, or any of the other extremist sites) have to say about where Obama was born and if he was ever a Muslim.

      • BR549

tlgeer wrote: ” There is such a mountain of facts that prove, without a doubt, that Obama was born in Hawaii, …..”

And you’re so sure of that that you’d bet your house on it? I didn’t think so.

I voted for Obama in 2008. Since then, I didn’t just put convenient pieces together to support a flimsy believe system. I looked at his actual record instead of his promises, his having attended Bilderberg (twice), his blatant continuation of the Bush era wars and assaults on the Constitution, and for 2012, I just couldn’t support him again. The man was not who he said he was.

You also stated, “The only people who still believe this are the insane;” referring to Obama’s eligibility. Now, why would a presidential candidate wait so long to produce proof of his eligibility and also need to spend a million dollars in legal fees defending an issue that would have been so simple to prove?

When Arpaio’s group went to Hawaii to view the original, they were denied access, even supervised access, yet when questioned on the issue, one of the heads of the records department stated how it was so easy to retrieve birth documents. Arpaio’s group was told that it was difficult getting the records together.

So, that leaves the general public split into several groups. One, where voters have become so disgusted with politicians on both sides of the fence that they just flat don’t give a crap anymore; two, where voters are left wondering what the real forces that pushed this guy Obama into office and what was THEIR intent; and three, those voters who will believe whatever the corporate owned media pablum that is being shoveling their way.

Personally, I don’t care if he’s black (obviously, … since I voted for him before) and I wouldn’t even care if wasn’t a citizen, if he somehow made it through the system unchallenged, as long as he considered himself an American citizen and fought to preserve the Constitution. Despite his claims to have studied the Constitution, and having seen his past performance, it was only to find its weaknesses.

For anyone to sit back and smugly sit back and assert that their party is the only one that can save this country, whether on the right OR the left, only demonstratee how effective the propaganda has been and that this decline in morality, increase in debt, illegal surveillance of the population, and inability to get out or wars has been.

As long as people keep viewing the election from the election level seats, well, I guess they get the view they paid for, which is isn’t much, but having looked at the patterns from WWII and earlier, and throwing in the influences of the Rockefellers, Warburgs, Carnegies, etc., it becomes clear as hell what direction we are being led in and it isn’t pursuing capitalism through a constitutional republic; it’s the gradual takeover of the once strongest country in the world by international banking families looking to find whatever false messiahs they can come up with to lull the masses into a state of complacency. They should be proud, at least, that their system is so far working.

        • http://tlgeer.wordpress.com tlgeer

“And you’re so sure of that that you’d bet your house on it? I didn’t think so.”

Actually, yes, I would bet my house on it. You see I know what a legal vital record consists of. I have been dealing with them for 30 years. I, also, know what the laws regarding them are, as you quite apparently do not.

“You also stated, “The only people who still believe this are the insane;” referring to Obama’s eligibility. Now, why would a presidential candidate wait so long to produce proof of his eligibility and also need to spend a million dollars in legal fees defending an issue that would have been so simple to prove? ”

He didn’t do either one. He produced his valid, state-certified, state-issued BC long before the 2008 Presidential election. But a bunch of idiots decided that it wasn’t real, that it was fake. And they came up with some very strange ideas of why it was fake. Unfortunately, they were not only wrong, they were so far off the map it was ridiculous.

As for money spent by the Obama campaign, it was to settle up the bills that came from the campaign itself. McCain’s campaign did the same thing. Are people stupid enough to say that McCain spent all that money covering up documents that weren’t public in the first place? Of course not. None of Obama’s vital records, school records, passport records are public documents. And the general public does not have a right to them. Not in any way.

“When Arpaio’s group went to Hawaii to view the original, they were denied access, even supervised access, yet when questioned on the issue, one of the heads of the records department stated how it was so easy to retrieve birth documents. Arpaio’s group was told that it was difficult getting the records together.”

No, Arpaio’s group was told that they didn’t have the right to them, even after the officer’s tried to make it seem that this was an official investigation of a crime. They were not able to back that up with facts, so they didn’t get a copy of the bc. Plain and simple.

          “decline in morality”

lol A decline in morality is a personal decision. Anyone who thinks that this can be legislated is just plain not thinking.

When Obama is 75 years old then, and only then, will the general public have the ability to get a copy of Obama’s birth certificate. Until then, you are out of luck. Period.

There is, however, a national system in place to verify US bc’s. A state that wants to verify one, logs onto this system, types in what the subject of the birth certificate said, of showed. The state that does this will get a message back from the requested state whether that information is correct or not. Arizona got the message from Hawaii, using this system that said that is was accurate. Educate yourself, instead of just blindly believing what other people have to say. Especially if they are anonymous and/or have no verifying evidence to back them up.

There is no point in covering previous ground with you, because it’s apparent that whatever you’re using for information sources is so slanted as to be more libtard mumbo-jumbo. It’s as slanted as the NeoCon mumbo-jumbo.

You might have at least tried to listen to the people who were directly involved in the investigation because they were not as you portrayed them. Rather than assume that everything negative you hear comes from the likes of Rush, Hannity, Beck, or that bunch of baboons, there ARE, believe it or not, people who are just plain sick and tired of the lies from both sides. I’m one of them.

It would appear here that IN FACT Mr. Clyburn is the racist. Incompetence was offered as an alternative to treason, which is simply aiding the enemy. Ms. Rice lied knowingly to the US and the world public from one ofthe most powerful (public relations) platforms in the world. She intentionally tried to mislead the world about the intentions of our declared enemy. Barack Obama did exactly the same thing, about the same thing. This is all a nightmarish joke. Just admit that you (Obama) are a Communist and that you have taken over the USA. Be done with it and let life proceed.

  • Laith

Why did Ambassador Rice say what she said?
One possible explanation for the incorrect statement the ambassador
made on the talk shows after the attack in Benghazi is the
presidential campaign; President Obama touted his success in killing
Bin Laden and dealing a major blow to Al Qaida. For Al Qaida to come
back and attack our consulate and kill our Ambassador along with
others on 9/11 no less would have tarnished the President’s
    achievement.
What I still cannot explain is why it fell on Ambassador Rice to make
those statements, which had nothing to do with her post as Ambassador
to the UN, and not a member of the President’s intelligence team couldn’t they find an
expendable official in the State Department to make those statements

    • Deerinwater

It’s pure political fodder Laith . ~ McCain has lead out with attack and it’s been echoed about by the right. ~ WHY????

Where McCain is wanting the job to be offered to someone else or just wanting media print that describes McCain as leading an attack, who’s to know for certain?

We need to be mindful, ~ this blowup comes in the wake of a stinging GOP defeat and the need to change the subject and appear in control is strong among GOP pundits today and why I call it political fodder.

While some suggest there is more too it ~ attempting to make it a “Grass Knoll” issue.

I do not know that much about Ms. Rice, other than she is bright and well thought of as being capable to hold down a key government position while she is not the only one.

I see it as a distraction, an attempt to take the people eyes away from something else.

    • Deerinwater

As far as any hypocrisy ~ after Condi Rice, press lease of aluminum tubes and mushroom clouds instilling fear and repeating disinformation to the American people and then to roast Anita Rice for reading off a CIA report that was crafted to cloak what the CIA didn’t know as the press hungry to know “something” ~ is hypocrisy at it’s finest!

I cant wait for the military to line us up and take us over to the concentration camps you think Obama is creating for his coup of the american government. You people will never get enough bat crazy people together to elect anyone President. Best to pick a side, either Republican or Democrat and choose the lesser of two evils. I know most of you will say I am not republican, but you sure do like to talk about democrats as socialists, communists, and whatever else you call us. My point is this…..what were the crazy people here saying when Bush said there were WMDs in iraq and started a war there we didnt need and couldnt afford. SO much so that he didnt even fund it on budget. Then Started another war in Afghanistan we couldnt afford and put THAT one off budget too. The cost of the two wars dont show up in Bush’s budgets. He passed Medicare Part D, another ENTITLEMENT you people so rail against and again…..OFF budget. He gave two tax cuts while putting us in two wars and didnt off set them with spending cuts…..so here we are, 10 years later, with massive deficits, and a whopping debt and you want to blame the next guy who gets elected. Obama put these expenses on the books. I think 10 or 20 years from now, after Obama has been out of office for a while and the scope of his accomplishments can be seen and measured, he will go down as on of the great ones, regardless of what your paranoid minds think. Benghazi, while a tragedy, is not really the fault of any one person. These diplomats know the risks of what they do and they accept those risks. Just as our military knows that on any given day, they can be made the victim of a roadside bomb or a sniper’s bullet. NO ONE wants to see any Americans killed, no matter how or where. And that includes Comrade Obama.

You claim of being Conservative and attempting apply it to “others” while leaving yourself out of the equation,

You detest the entitled while wishing it for your own.

She might even audience in Hollywood she’s that good. An American standing up for America’s interest? I’d laugh if it wasn’t so sick. We have 50 States and then we have the District of Criminals running all of them. Some of them are breaking out the Constitution and reading the 10th Amendment and how it can apply in their cases. The America many of us know and love in under assault by a gang of people professing involuntary socialism and democracy, the way Karl Marx did. Franklin. when asked what kind of government did you give us, replied, We gave you a Constitutional Republic madam, if you can keep it. We certainly can answer his question now. This lady actually has substantive leftist positions worth criticizing. Even if a Republican party member had some racial aversion to her for the little bit of A.A. ancestry that she may or may not have in her, and that party member actually felt like he needed to use this bias as a justification for non-support of her nomination………….you can see this is just getting silly.

This type of party line accusation is expected I know, but it just makes the dems. look more and more stupid, and I’m talking about to their own members and voters. It’s y’all’s fault our embassy was not properly protected because the half-decent Republicans refused to put the Teaparties in their subservient places and let them sabotage every bill that Obama wanted. Now that the people affirmed that they like Obama being president (and it is not just the minorities and they were not offered gifts, just human rights) your panties are not just in a wad, they are in a big old knot. Prime Directive—eliminate black president. Aborted. Either get rid of you satanic family values or go the way of the Whigs and the Tories. This lady is the best shot we have for Sec. of State and she has a strong personality and stands up to the white men. Y’all hate strong women. While I personally would prefer that Hilliary Clinton stay on. She is the best I’ve seen, this one will do since John Kerry needs to protect his seat from the Republican thugs. I think she will do a good job. She had the sense not to open her mouth before she knew all the facts, an amazing thing since George W. Thank you for acknowledging where the problem lies. I believe the cat calls result from people just not understanding the larger picture of corruption and treachery. If they DID understand, they wouldn’t be wasting their time throwing small fruit at each other and instead would be realizing how much more they had in common than not.

So, whether the Repubs voted down extra security or not – isn’t actually an issue in this case. Since there was no embassey to protect. Just so you know. This lady is probably NOT the best chance we have and, it isn’t because she’s black – it’s because she’s OBVIOUSLY unqualified. And by “unqualified – I actually mean – unqualified and hell, I’ll even go out on a limb here and say “Incompetent” – by which I mean “incompetant”. Not black – not female – I mean incompetant. or she’s a liar. Just as a note here – I also voted for Pres O – doesn’t mean I’m closed minded to all other opinions or points of view. I read this site because I fully understand that we, much like the Repubs news outlets – “may not” be getting the whole truth. Could be that our sources are also slightly slanted as well – don’t you think? There’s alot at stake, so, I check as much as I can. I’m not afraid of the truth – although I’m not always overjoyed to hear it. Every time someone disagrees with us – we cannot just accuse them of being rasict and then discount evrything from that point on. That’s as close-minded as we accuse the Repubs of being. And frankly, I think it’s not only kinda stupid – but it’s also dangerous. This lady will hold one of the highest, most powerful offices in the Country – don’t you think we should at least look into her motives? She holds a money orientated vested interest in HUGE national issues, like the transCanada pipeline for example – why is her name even on the table? Her oil interests alone go againest EVERY green platform the Pres has stood on so far. She will also make decisions of national security – we owe it to the people we are asking to go and defend us to ENSURE that we have the best person in the job. Her actions on Benghazi translates into -”incompentance” which is unacceptable for the position she’s vieing for since U.S. lives are at stake – or she’s a liar – or – she’s a voice box for covert CIA ops which means THEIR all probably LIARS. Now which do we prefer? Being black and a female are probably the VERY LEAST of my concerns with this lady.

God say’s to respect ALL races. What we have to do is look at what the person does, says and form an opinion. If they lie they are a lier, if they stand for evil they are evil. If they are incompetent well you get the picture. If they told her to lie and she did then she is no better than they. If she really believed what she was saying to be the truth with all of the intel that was out there that went against what she was saying then she would be branded as incompetent. Her appointment to this position needs to be looked at very carefully by everyone.

if there was intel out there, but classified then she can’t speak about it. Hannity and Fox news only cares about making Obama and democrats look bad. Why is it that FOX is the only station that is actively pursuiing this and not the other networks.??? Maybe because FOX News has an agenda and it isnt reporting news. If you are out of the bubble for even a little while and get some fresh air, when you return to the bubble you can see how FOX is biased in just about every way. When they do have a democrat expressing an alternate view they get shouted down by hannity or o’reilly and then hey…we are out of time. I know this isnt about Fox, but then again it is about that type of thinking. FOX is the one making the major issue of this and Republicans cant get their talking points if they are not supported by their right wing spin machine.

First off, when I heard about Libya, I did not believe that nobody came to those American’s aid, then when I heard Susan Rice talking, I did not believe that a movie half across the world would have anything with what happened. AND lastly, as being a woman, I am all for women getting involved in how our country is run….MOST of all,,, I did not even know that she was black which has no bearing on anything except most of the black race in USA are the racists…WAKE UP AMERICA BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE. Whether or not Rice can handle the job of secretary of state, at this point is immaterial.
With all the controversy surrounding her appointment, there must be someone else who can do an excellent job without all the hidden insinuations, personal agenda, etc., etc., etc. Why is the president so set on this appointment? Is it personal, payment, allegiance to the black race (that can’t be it!) a GOOD friend…..who knows….hmmmm.
In any case, there has to be someone else better suited for the job without all the controversy, criticism and mudslinging. Is there a qualified person out there without a personal agenda of a generic race???

    • Johnny

maybe part of the reason the GOP is so dead set against her is that everyone thinks Obama’s second pick would be John Kerry…………from MASSACHUSETTS, who, if appointed SOS would have to give up his Senate Seat……and then maybe….just MAYBE ……SCOTT BROWN, who got spanked by Elizabeth Warren may get the senate seat and give them back one that they lost….but NAH….that could not be it, could it????

  • http://www.davidlerickson.com David

An awful lot of baseless bashing, partisan politics as usual, The Republicans will vote against any Obama appointee just because that’s the mode they’ve locked themselves into. The election is over. The GOP needs to come to grips with that.

Rice is qualified and her track record shows she is competent. The fact that she is black only matters to the racists in the GOP. The reality is that race played a significant part in the presidential election and will continue to play a role. As I’ve encountered in many places in America, racism is alive and well.

As to Rice’s performance over Libya, we must respect the fact that she was stating the White House’s position as they knew it at the time. As the facts came out, what was being said changed. Anyone who uses that as an excuse to punish Rice has no understanding of the pressures placed on the White House to issue statements, even before enough information is available to provide accurate assessments.

My guess is the administration knew what she was going to say is not true and Clinton wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Susan Rice did not make those statements to Congress or under oath, as for politicians lying, President Reagan lied (on tape) about sending a Bud McFarlen to Iran, Bush 41 lied about not knowning about Iran Contra (he is just VP goes to funerals), Clinton, …Bush 43 gang (I am sure Rumsfeld was very competent)

The Democratic Party: Standards are for fools and everyone else!

    • eddie47d

The Republican Party: Just what are their foolish standards or is there really any difference Mike?

    • BR549

Democrat standards vs. Republican standards? Currently, neither party has any.

Think of it this way; the Republican Party is embraced by people who seek to re-establish our national and family values by going back in time, while the Democrat Party sees many of the same social problems, but chooses to solve them by re-inventing the future. Both sides see a catastrophe in the making; both merely have different ways of coming up with a solution.

The problem is that NEITHER party is operating under their old ideologies and BOTH of them are being unduly influenced by globalists. Does that mean there are no genuine Republicans or Democrats out there? No, …… but the globalists are hoping that the average person either can’t tell the difference between those individuals within their own party or will be so mad or fearful that they will stay with that party, no matter what.

Neither party represents the American people any more; they represent globalist banking interests, first. When these legislators finally grow a conscience and some testicles, that’s when you’ll see them supporting the Constitution instead of David Rockefeller and George Soros.

BO and Hillary both told the public that the video was the cause of a protest that turned into a spontaneous riot against the embassy in Benghazi Susan Rice read the speeches given to her. The order to stand down and the utter lack of military aid is the real issue. BO was so invested in his idea that with the death of Bin Ladin, terrorism was ended. His Empathy for Islam prohibits him from recognizing the threat to every Faith on the face of the Earth. The ultimate mandate for a World wide Caliphate is at the root of Terrorism and the threat to everyone of every Faith and every Agnostic, and Atheist.

    • http://wildeyguns.com The Christian American

I ask you. What difference does it make? America is where it’s not wanted and things will happen because of it. No one is asking the legitimate reason, their discussing the results. We destroy a stable country so that there are waring tribes and then set up an Embassy. Remember, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. What was it? 200 Marines were killed in our Embassy in Lebanon.

  • The Pilot

Oh blah blah blah. Doesn’t seem like anyone on this thread knows the score at all. First off, if you will notice, from reading the article you will see that Susan Rice worked at the Brookings Institute. And second of all she’s a Rhodes Scholar. That’s two clues that everyone seems to have missed. Anyone who knows how this country is run will immediately know, because of those two facts alone, that she’s another insider who is working for the international bankers to destroy this country. The fact that she’s a black woman and a Democrat are completely immaterial facts. She could be a green martian hermaphrodite and a Republican and it wouldn’t make a bit of difference. Those two facts (she worked at the Brookings Institute and she’s a Rhodes Scholar) tell you all you need to know about her. Knowing those two things, you should immediately know that she’s a member of a group who are working to destroy America. In other words, she’s a traitor.

But there are even more clues to that she cannot be trusted: she’s a current or former member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a current or former member of the Trilateral Commission. How much evidence does a person need to know that this person is a traitor to America? In fact, while we’re on that subject, most of Obama’s Cabinet have one or more of those connections. So there you have it. End of story.

The one thing do know is none of their thoughts or actions are done to benefit this, supposedly, God fearing Constitutional Republic. To them everything is politics. Even justice is political. It’s like we have two mafia families in DC fighting with each other dividing up the loot. The UN? THE SATANIC ELITE: AMERICAN MIND CONTROL AND WORLD GOVERNMENT

There exists a secretive Satanic elite, that consists of perhaps twelve men at the very top, who rule the world through banking and international finance. Publicly these men pretend to be humanists, but secretly they have to chosen to worship Lucifer. They are now in the process of the final take over, where they will bring in a one world government and one world economic system, beginning as early as 2018. Their primary means of achieving this goal is through control of the economy and through scientific mind control.

Rice no doubt was just spewing the Obama administration’s cover story for what happened in Benghazi. Why would she do this you ask. To advance her own career, is probably the case here. The reason the ambassador was allowed to die was to cover up Obama’s complicity in the arming of the Al-CIAda rebels that are currently trying to take down Assad’s government. This would have been another embarrassment before the election. Rice has shown that she will not be true to the American people, only to her own self centered aspirations.

Tunamen. Obama is trying, You can blame the do less than nothing and obstructive congress on doing their part to divide everyone, They will go down fighting to protect their own and their wealthy buddies and corporations. Then Mitch McConnell in the senate is such an inane idiot and he also is doing everything possible to obstruct the senate. He is the one that was determined to make Obama a one term president. that wasted 4 years and now he will waste another 2 years, before he gets booted out in the next election.
then in the states, everywhere there is a republican governor and house. They have made ridiculous voting rules to alienate the democratic voters. Voting is supposed to be fair, not a means to suppress votes from any party. Then they are on a whirl wind to quickly get laws passed while they have a majority before the end of the year. For example, the right to work laws in Michigan.
I have only seen Obama being diplomatic and congenial. This is another talking point that is disseminated among those living under the bubble.
the sad part of it for you is that when you hear these divisive talking points for too long, you will believe it. Then when you get out from under the bubble into the real world, you will be at a disadvantage and it may hurt you then. For example; all of you took in the talking points of Mitt winning the election, and then see what happened in the real world.

Obama wants to raise the taxes on the very wealthy. What is he going to do with that money? Is he going to pay down the dept or create jobs? Maybe he will help the poor by giving them the minimum to live on, just enough to survive but not enough to become independent. He always uses the race card but he came from nothing and became president of the United States and makes a lot of money, doesn’t have to live on welfare.

Maybe someone should keep an eye on all that money other than Obama. Remember he already keeps asking for more money but there are no changes being made other than Americans becoming poorer.

“What is he going to do with that money?”

HE doesn’t do anything other than what Congress decree’s should be done. Do you really know so little about how our Government was set up, and runs?

“Is he going to pay down the dept or create jobs?”

      Both should be done.

“He always uses the race card but he came from nothing and became president of the United States and makes a lot of money, doesn’t have to live on welfare.”

You know I see this accusation so often and they have nothing to back it up, just the words of the talking heads (who, BTW, are not there to inform you, they say irresponsible and untrue things in order to make you upset and angry. That, in return, earns them HUGE amounts of money. If they told you truth’s, you wouldn’t tune in as often and they would lose a lot of money)

When, exactly, has Obama played the race card? Please provide a link to what, and when, he actually said it. Not just someone’s opinion.

“Maybe someone should keep an eye on all that money other than Obama. Remember he already keeps asking for more money but there are no changes being made other than Americans becoming poorer.”

You should, also, take at least one class in Government Economics. You, quite clearly, have not done so, and have no idea of what you are talking about.

Maria Ashton. What Obama would do with that money is to pay down the debt some more. If you look at Politifax web page, he as actually lowered the deficit in each of the last three years. This was done with, not only, no help from the GOP congress, the GOP actually tried to obstruct anything that Obama wanted to do to improve the economy. It was more important for the GOP congress to make the economy worse, then they could blame Obama and they would then get Mitt elected and they would get back in power. Imagine how our economy would be cooking if they actually co-operated and helped with laws and bills that would improve the economy. It seems their only mandate is to get back into power.
He would also use some of the money to further stimulate jobs by improving the infrastructure and create more jobs and make more tax revenues and then pay back more of the debt. These are basic Republican economic points. But since Obama is suggesting it, they will oppose it, even if it means going off of the over used. “Fiscal Cliff” and again with the “Debt Limit” in February.

As Tigeer said. He has never used the race card. He is so careful to never do that. He doesn’t stick his foot in his mouth, like Mitt does. That is not part of his agenda. This is a talking point that has been invented by people like this blog, fix and the GOP pundits.
Look what he has actually done and do not listen to what they say he has done on this site.

I’m not sure what planet you live on but Obama has raised the national debt in the past 3 years more than all other presidents combined. Politifact is nothing more than a left wing propaganda site. You might want to consider some other sources. I don’t mind paying taxes, but I hate paying taxes to a government that is just wasting it on God only knows what. Here’s another little factoid you might want to contemplate – Govt does not create jobs. All Govt does is take money from one group of people and fork it over to another group of people. Our govt is out of control. We are being monitored and micromanaged in a way that is so far removed from our Constitution. When 47% of the people in this country pay no taxes at all, why is it fair to require people who have worked hard for their money to be penalized? Life is not fair. Get over it.
We don’t even really know who Barack Obama, Barry Soetoro, et al is. What’s up with his Social Security number? How come he has sealed all of of college transcripts? His birth cert is a forgery along with his selective service card. Do some research. And finally quit listening to him and watch what he does. Mr. Transparency is anything but.

Maria , Maria, You can’t live under the republican bubble, your whole life as it will hurt you some day. You are just using the GOP talking points that were mostly fabricated.
The National debt has gone up each of the last three years the amount that we were in over budget with the deficit. Of coarse. that is what happens when you get a recession. As I said, the president has been lowering the amount of the deficit each of the last three years. It started with Bush’s last year. What will happen in the future is that in a year or two the deficit will be balanced and the long road to reducing the National debt takes place. This is a process that will take many years. One president, will not be able to do it in the space of 4 years. What is needed is an improving the economy and more people contributing to the federal pot.
The mantra of the GOP of government does not create jobs is pure BS. You have been listening to Mitt for the last 4 years. Of coarse, government creates jobs. What the government does not do is create business’s. You think when they build a bridge or repair a road, that a job is not created? All of the Civil service jobs are just that , jobs. There needs to be a balance to not have too heavy of a debt and continued stimulus. With countries, world wide, still willing to buy US bonds for 1% interest.rate, the debt is less of a problem than the GOP are making of it. The economy and stimulus are more important factors.
The 47% that do not pay taxes is also not true figure. There are 22% that are on social assistance, because they are retired and they paid into it their whole lives. So that is their money. There are those that do not pay Federal tax, because their income is below a certain threshold, but they pay payroll taxes. the bulk of the taxes that are paid into the system comes from the middle class, not the top 2%, Over the last 4 years, they have actually done very well and they have increased their wealth. They have gotten off easy. The middle class needs a break. They are the ones that really make the economy soar.
Maria, I thought that I was speaking with a intelligent person. Once you mentioned, the birth certificate and college transcripts etc. I know that you gobbled up the right wing talking points and have not researched these things yourself. They are not an issue. The GOP are grasping for straws for something to hang on Obama. When there is any candidate for president, the FBI and the CIA vet every possible angle of any potential candidate. They would have found something if there was a problem.
I hope that you have learned from the election, that you cannot believe the GOP pundits as most of what they say is for the benefit of riling their base and making money. See how far out they were with all of their predictions. Now they are professing doom and gloom with the economy and that will not happen.

          • Bev

Hey Nick my name is Bev not Maria. You’ve really swilled the kool-aid from the keg. I’m not in love with the GOP any more than I am in love with DEMs. Obama is tanking this economy. Our money is becoming less and less valuable. Every time they turn those printing presses on in Washington there goes a little more value. It’s a great scheme if you can get away with it. Imagine if you had a credit card and you ran it up to the max. When the bill arrives you discover you have no money left to pay the bill so what do you do? You print more money. Only the government can do this. When our money stopped being backed by a real metal that is when the govt began the process of stealing all wealth from all people. Those funds you stuck away for retirement now will buy you less and less. You’re going to need a wheelbarrow of money to pay for a backpack full of groceries. If you don’t believe this hasn’t happened before you might want to take a look at world history. With the kind of monetary system we have going now the middle class is going to wiped out.
Obama is an avowed communist. You can believe that or not. Maybe you should do a little research on the man yourself. Just because the left refuses to acknowledge they don’t know anything about this guy doesn’t mean a thing. Just because the FBI (which works for him BTW) or the CIA haven’t said anything publicly doesn’t mean they don’t have anything on him. When he first got into politics in Chicago he did so with the approval and backing of the communist party. He’s a slick snake oil salesman and will tell you whatever you need to hear. Why do you think he makes remarks about it being easier to govern in China. If you know so much about the guy can you tell me who paid for his expensive ivy league education? Why did he give up is law license? That’s not something you ever do unless the bar tells you you’re going to be disbarred. How did he travel to Pakistan with a US Passport when that country was blocked from all travel in the US? I’m waiting and I’m looking forward to your answers.
No I pretty much hate all politicians. But Mr. Obama takes the cake.

          • Nick Czudy

Hi Bev. I am not sure why I called you Maria. But I apologize. I agree that printing more money is bad for inflation, but it is even worse to impose draconian spending cuts too quickly to the economy. This is what they did in Europe and you can see how that has affected their economy. The economy stagnates and doesn’t grow. The GOP have certainly made a lot of comments about growing the economy creates jobs and they are right. But then they go against what Obama wants to do and they are only making noise about cutting costs. But don’t cut the military. Take it from the poor and middle class.
Economists may argue where the optimum point is to balance stimulation versus cutting spending. I do believe that Obama has consulted dozens of economists and experts and is taking what he believes is the best course. I think that he is on the right track as the economy has been slowly improving even with the strong opposition and obstruction from the GOP. They need to just follow good economics and stop negating action, just because it comes from Obama. You must know by now, that you cannot take the advice of pundits on this site, like Morris, Rove, and Myers as they are not speaking as experts in that field, they are giving emotional party answers to ensure they have the ear of their supporters. So is it you that are drinking the koolaid from under the umbrella of GOP talking points.
Obama has never avowed that he was a communist. This has all come from the GOP. He has talked about “redistribution”. That is what governments do. they take money from everyone and they send it to other places. This includes, military, and financial institutions and the courts. This does not make him a communist. After watching him respond to the crisis at Sandy Hook school, you can see the man that is behind the facade and he is not one to take to being communist, Muslim etc. Give me a break. Anyone that talks like this, I have to seriously doubt their sanity. So maybe the communist party backed him in Chicago. What, do you think that they are going to support the GOP? That does not make him a communist. When I talked about the CIA and FBI vetting Obama when he was running for President, it was Bush and the GOP that were in power. He did not have them under his thumb as you mentioned. So there was no influence from him on his vetting process. Traveling to Pakistan and paying for his education, I cannot answer. Can’t anyone in the USA get a College education is they use all of the aids and means available to them. So there is nothing there to make a difference. Look at how he has governed over the last 4 years. He has spoken carefully and with wisdom. You can’t say that for the 8 years of Pres. Bush. So stop all of the GOP rhetoric. Most of the people in the USA do not buy that.
