Huntsman: Cain Scandals Hurting GOP

Republican Presidential primary candidate Jon Huntsman suggested in a recent interview that his sex scandal-ridden fellow candidate, Herman Cain, is hurting the entire Republican field and distracting voters from the real issues.

Speaking of the latest allegation against Cain involving a 13-year extramarital affair, Huntsman said it is time for the former CEO rethink his candidacy.

“Every time another accusation comes up, it diminishes our ability to stay focused on the issues that really do matter for the American people. And I think that’s a disservice to the voters,” Huntsman told The Boston Globe.

Cain has denied that he had any sexual involvement with the latest accuser. He insists he and the woman were involved in a “friendship relationship” and that he helped her financially.

“I have spoken directly to the American people and have been 100% honest with them. My plan is to continue to spread my vision on how I would renew America and keep her safe. I will not fight false claims as it is not what America needs or wants,” Cain said in a statement Monday.

Cain reportedly has decided to “reassess” his candidacy “over the next several days.” But despite some speculation he will drop out of the race, campaign manager Marc Bloc said only Cain’s wife and lack of support could make him give up, according to ABC News.

Sam, what the GOP ‘thinks’ is irrelevant. If the GOP could think, it wouldn’t be a ten-ton pig in a pig sty. The GOP covets a weak spine. It has no use for any leadership.
The GOP wants power and privilege without having to earn it. With a little luck, the GOP may not exist in the near future. I see no reason to support a group that is no different than criminals who want Americans to believe they are victims of society.
The GOP is its own victim. It committed suicide in the 19th century. Bury the corpse.

    • Kent Bailey

Indeed there are some problematic areas in the GOP. Let’s be careful not to paint every Republican as a liberal or a Rino. We also need to remember that there are no perfect candidates just like there are no perfect voters. What we need to look for in candidates claiming to be conservatives are a general consistency of a conservative message with their practice, those who are capable and electable. It is going to be very difficult if not impossible to find a candidate with whom all conservatives agree 100 per cent. Let’s not become so divided that we allow Obama to be reelected.

      • T-Texas

        Agreed

      • Richard Pawley

Absolutely! We are not electing a saint (although I believe some of these detractors of Cain are being paid extremely well for their allegations), we are looking for someone to lead us out of the ever spiraling sink hole our dollar and economy has fallen into. Even Apple, one of America’s most successful companies is now accepting Chinese yuan in payment for iTunes and application downloads, and the death of the dollar will be assured if we don’t stop spending money like it was real.

Even if we raised taxes on everybody – RICH AND POOR ALIKE – to 80%, if we took 80 cents of every dollar that EVERYBODY earned or received IT WOULD STILL NOT BE ENOUGH TO COVER ALL THAT WE ARE SPENDING ON EVERYTHING. So we are likely to just keep printing money and that never ends well. It only helps the cotton farmers who grow the cotton that much of our money is composed of and the rest is just numbers in a computer.

I know of no one who can accurately predict when the crash will happen but I know of no knowledgeable person who is convinced it won’t. Since the Democrats took over Congress in 2006 over a million Americans have left the country but I believe that will only help those who left temporarily. Soon all the world will be affected. We can’t continue to squander everything we can borrow on everything we can think of. Count on prices tripling (not houses) and pray about everything you do, because we are now in uncharted territory and as big as the Titanic is the icebergs are bigger. May God help us!

      • Joe H

        Kent Bailey,
Name one goper other than Ron Paul that ISN’T a RINO!!!

    • Klaus

While I tend to agree that the GOP is for the most part spineless, I would like to bury the Democrats first. There are some in the GOP that are actually doing some good, where nothing good is coming from Democrats.

      • eddie47d

You only see what you want to see on the Republican side and yes the Democrats do the same. Now the article before this on Barney Franks was vicious and relentless and it came down to Homo bashing as the topic of conversation. Since Conservatives love to over judge and condemn then we must expect the same against Hermann Cain in his alleged affairs. Let’s face it! It would be hard for anyone to hide a 13 year affair and it seems to have been more than hand holding. Clinton took a beating by Republicans (and rightfully so) over his exploits so shouldn’t the same be afforded to Cain? Since sex is on everyone’s mind and morality is the other side of the coin then shouldn’t all seeking office have a virginity test or more politely a faithfulness test. All who fail need not apply! What should the rules be:no affairs, one affair,no divorcees? Never have visited a strip joint, never watched porn, never been with a prostitute, never been swimming nude? How much of a persons personal life do we own and how much control do we have over them?

        • Old Henry

After the scummy reprobate we were saddled with in the 90s the standard has been established, so why all the consternation? These women have shown no proof that I have heard of. They are all simply, I believe the democrap vernacular is, trash for cash.

Has Mr. Cain followed the democrap playbook and begun a massive character assassination against his accusers? Nope. He has remained above that democrap guttural behavior. Maybe Cain should drag a $100 bill thru a trailer park and see who turns up.

As I understand it all these women other than this Gina White have been from Chi Ka Go. Hmmm.

    • hitthedeck

Interesting that a ten ton pig can beat a ten ton dead horse or should I say Jackass. Hold on to your words and choke on them next November when the Piggy goes to market and the Jackass looks for an empty barn to hid in.

    • Old Henry

This lastest woman is nothing more than “Cash for trash” as the dems / media referred to Gennifer Flowers who actually had evidence of a 12 year affair with dick-for-brains.

  • http://deleted Claire

s c — Good post. I have to agree. The GOP has shot itself in the foot.

    • T-Texas

When we get past the in fighting,we must unite to defeat his impostor pile of poop we have now.I will vote for any person that runs against him.I have been through prseidents from Franklin D to this fraud, all were good Americans who loved their country, but not this piece of crap we have now.I think he is probably not even a naturalised citizen. He admitted that he wasn’t born in Hawaii but in Kenya and I think the big thing he is trying to hide is the fact that he was here on a student visa as Barry Sotores from Indonesia and never became a US naturalised or other wise. This may seem far fetched but it is the way I believe.

      a

      • Old Henry

        T-Texas:

It is not naturalised. The correct term is Natural Born which is the off-spring of citezen parents (plural).

    • Old Henry

Yeah Claire, I had the RNC call me last week end and before the guy could begin his spiel I staarted laughing and told him I would not be donating to them. He asked if I was no longer a “Republican”. I simply said I was fed up with the GOP / RNC and their RINOs whom I did not support and that I now give money directly to the candidates of my choice – namely Ron Paul. He thanked me and hung up.

      • http://deleted Claire

Old Henry–I receive calls frequently-wanting to know if I am going to vote Democrat or Republican. I gave them an earfull too. My town is very political, full of RINOs and half-baked liberals. My dogs have more common sense.

  • bob wire

sc posting is strongly worded but sums up my opinion of “today’s” GOP.

Their “leaders” evidently don’t work on capital hill but somewhere else.

Have you heard of the “Justice Party”? out of Salt Lake City. Not a force in contention today but maybe a hope of change in the future.

    • Old Henry

      bob:

i have not heard of that party. Do you know if they have a web site? I am leary of Googling stuff like tue to the risk of being directed to a nepharious web site.

“hope of change” – bob, please try to avoid using those two words, especially in such close proximity. LOL!

  • bob wire

Cain is not dropping out yet ~ His money will have to dry up first, I suppose.

I knew he was an old horn dog ~ before any of these women came forward from my experience in the Pizza business in the 70′s.

The abundance of Young women in need of a job was a perk.

    • Joe H

      bob wire,
while I don’t believe Cain is innocent, I think you may have hit on a good Idea. Let’s all just judge all candidates on what bob wire would do!!! If they’re in heating and ac, then like bob, they must be a horn dog!!! good Idea!!!! sarcasm ends here!!

    • Old Henry

bob, are you trying to tell us something?? LMAO!

    • http://naver samurai

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! You must be kidding! Get as much info on the candidates before voting, yes. To put them to your standards, no. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

  • http://erikrush.com Erik Rush

It’s invertebrates like Huntsman who are hurting the GOP, not the Cain “scandals,” which are utter fabrications to start with. Don’t fall for “numbers means it’s true” logic vis-à-vis Cain’s accusers just because a smear on this scale hasn’t been executed in America before… Think of the threat Cain represents to Dems AND the GOP old guard. Think of how much of a thorn in the side of that old guard the Tea Party is…

    • Klaus

I could not agree more. If you look at the record of the accusers, I would not believe any of them. It would not surprise me at all if they were not paid in some way to smear Herman Cain. The Democrats are scared to death of a black conservative, and the old guard GOP is just as afraid that he would shake up their cozy existance.

    • BigBadJohn

Scandals are fabrications – ya right just like all the stories about Clinton were fabrications……

      • http://naver samurai

Tell that to Monica and the women in his life. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

    • Kenda Tomes

Agree — I am sick of the Republican canidates bashing Newt and Cain. Huntsman and people who live in glass houses should not throw rocks. Ron Paul has some good ideas but is not the right main for the job and should not putting down the smartest man in this race, Newt. Clinton had sex with an employee and survived. Certainly, Cain should be given a fair shake. Democrats will keep making stuff up about our canidates until they all drop out. Get behind Newt and Cain. What a great team they would make.

      • bob wire

Cain is skirt chaser that would not waste the opportunity to whip out the big bamboo when it presented itself. ~ That has been his lifestyle, one that he has lead for many years. Using his power and position to extract sexual favors from women. Not worrying about who’s life he damaged or children without fathers or the burden places on women from unwanted pregnancies.

He’s had enough success at it that a typecasting behavior has been set and has continued for many years. There is many more women that have yet to come forward to bear witness to this fact. How many more will it take for you to get the picture? No other candidate present or past has been subjected to such a ground swell of jaded ladies (all white I might add). It’s not black walnut on this man mind but vanilla and willing to take what he can get, anyway he can get it.

Cain is nothing to me, I don’t care. I’d prefer him stay in the race till the bitter end. He’s a easy knock down on any level one might consider. Just another High Stepping Yellow with a fur coat and big Buick car that enjoys attention and anything that feeds his ego.

But he has exposed your foolish nature as you opted to believe him which only tells me and the rest of us American how many damn fools have the right to vote.

Try to smarten up ~ if it’s at all possible but bear in mind that you do the GOP a disservice and not I if you refuse to.

        • Dale on the left coast

Are you Wired Bob??? Where’s the proof . . . two have appeared, one lived in the same apt. as Axlerod, the other produced a signed book. Both these ladies are serial lyers and have bizzare pasts.
I suspect the whole thing is Democrap in origin . . . can’t have those blacks straying off the Demo Plantation. My evidence . . . Bork, and every O’bammy campaign in Illinois.

          • libertytrain

Bob could have easily substituted bill clinton and several others in this, why are we picking on the black candidate. Talk about racist…

          • professor

All the “honkies for herman” have been saying the same things over and over… on every blog. They are positive that Cain is innocent. He is “innocent” because these women are less than virtuous, they are skanks, and they are taking money to cause a big “cain train wreck!”

Well, let me remind you that the women Cain could get on his “pizza rack” would not be “top shelf!” So, is it that surprising they have some character flaws… Cain took advantage of desperate women that had problems. Most likely, they were the ones with the lowest self-esteem and the most vulnerable. In my mind, this makes him less than a man of good character. Single women with kids can be easy targets..

So, lets not be so hard on these women, they are exactly what we should have expected Cain would seek out. Cain never believed that this class of women would ever have the guts to speak out. After all, he is “the man with the plan for the land,” as was pointed out on one blog. Cain was significantly confident he wouldn’t be caused any harm by the “likes” of these women… And he is right in his belief that his innocents will not be tried in a Court of Law, but he will/has been tried in the Court of Public Opinion and has been found lacking!

Cain, save your supporters’ money. Go home and try to repair the damage you have done to your family. You are “damaged goods!” No one is to blame but yourself.

        • Joe H

          bob wire,
and you know this because you lived with him???? you are so full of crap your eyes are brown!! I don’t like Cain and would not vote for him on a bet, but i won’t bear false witness against him as you just DID!!!

          • bob wire

what makes you think it is false?

          • http://naver samurai

How about citing a source for us Bob. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

          • Joe H.

            Bob wire,
how about a simple phrase? Innocent till PROVEN guilty!! He has not been proven guilty and you sure as hell don’t know a thing about his personal life!!

        • Old Henry

          bob:

“Just another High Stepping Yellow with a fur coat and big Buick car that enjoys attention and anything that feeds his ego.” Sounds like you’re talkin’ ’bout Little Barry. Oh wait, that can’t be cause Little Barry is a communist, not a Conservative.

Lots of conjecture about Cain on your part bob. Just as those trailer trash women – no evidence.

          • bob wire

Right! who am I? ~ Just a man with one vote and a opinion formed from life experience.

How many of you have been in the hospitality business, owned and operated 6 stores or one of the first American franchise owner to open a business in Hong Kong? My education and experience in Business and business relationship goes back some years. No doubt you have hired and fired many more people then I, Built more, sold more, won more and lost more.

If you people have not sized up Herman Cain by now , there no hope for you. Face the facts people, you have a long history of bad decision making and you know it.

I told you that it didn’t really matter to me and I meant it.

I was just hoping that you might take the 2012 general election more seriously.

          • professor

Bob wire, you are so on target!

You can tell that many of these people are unable to assess character. They don’t have the life experiences to draw on to be able to come to the obvious conclusion. Cain supporters were wrong about obama and they are wrong about Cain.

        • http://naver samurai

Billy Carter was a traitor, Clinton was a pimp, and Obama bin Laden frequented “gentlemens” clubs in Chicago. Do we know for a fact that he did these things to the females in question? What evidence is there other than he said/she said? Remember when Clerance Thomas was going through the process to be part of the Supreme Court? This lady told about things that happened 10-11 years before also, but how was he found? He’s on the bench now, isn’t he? If something like this happens, why wait 10 years or till they are running for office? I think it is just to either ruin the person, lies, or to have their name in the spotlight. These “ladies” need to be making that popping sound. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

      • ChristyK

Cain’s stance on the Fed, which he worked for, and his lies in relation to the Fed totally disqualify him as a conservative, irregardless of the harrassment charges.

Newt is a CFR, world government guy whose voting record shows that he supports giving away our sovereignty to the UN and growing government. He supports the president having the authority to hold american citizens, captured on american soil, indefinitely without a trial just because the president calls the person a terrorist (w/o evidence of truth). Don’t let Newt anywhere near the presidency.

      • Bob in Boston

Ron Paul is the only candidate who is electable! You’d vote for Newt who had 84 ethics violations over 6 years vs Dr Paul who had zero over 30 years?
And Newt is the smartest candidate? Ron Paul is the only candidate who predicted our financial crash, and with stunning accuracy. If Newt is so smart how come he didn’t predict it? Are you saying Newt did and just didn’t do anything about it? Because that’s even more of a reason to vote for Ron Paul over Newt Gengrich. Lets. Of even get onto Newt’s personal infidelities… Ron Paul has been happily married for 51 years and stil going strong.
I we want to win against Obama in the general election, Ron Paul is the clear choice. No other GOP candidate stacks up as well as Ron Paul, because none of them will get as many anti-war voters, independents, and disenchanted democrats. Nominating anyone but Paul gets us 4 more years of Obama.

  • Rman

If Huntsman manages to get on a ticket I will vote against him. I won’t vote democrat but I won’t vote Republican if he’s on the ticket.

    • eddie47d

Jon Huntsman is a decent guy who knows how to work with Republicans and Democrats alike so apparently that is not what you want. Except for Ron Paul the rest of the Republican field has much baggage to contend with so is that your choice?

      • Dagney

We don’t need another MUSH candidate that will work with the criminals on both sides. We need a PRINCIPLED candidate that will FIGHT for the American people and its RULE OF LAW.

        • Griz Gal

Then, Dagney, If you are concerned about our RULE Of LAW, I hope you’ll check out Newt and the 84 ethics charges that caused him to “resign” from the House and “give up” his position as Speaker (after he found he probably didn’t have enough support to be re-elected to that position) back in the 90′s — before you decide to give HIM your support.

The only GOP candidate who doesn’t seem to have any baggage is RON PAUL — he is much more knowledgeable on the issues than Cain, and it would serve you well to investigate the actual votes taken in the House while Paul and Gingrich were both there. You might find a different Gingrich than the current Gingrich he is promoting himself to be! Also, his current position on the FED was Ron Paul’s position LONG before Gingrich picked up on it …

Please give Ron Paul an HONEST look. Don’t believe the biased media when they tell us he can’t win. He CAN!!!!!

          • Old Henry

            Griz:

I am a strong supporter of Ron Paul, but I must ask what baggage does Michelle Bachmann have other than her vote last Spring to re-new the un-Patriot Act?

          • ChristyK

The unPatriot Act is enough to disqualify her. Anyone who doesn’t protect our liberty with every vote is a problem, not a solution.

          • eddie47d

Maybe her openly gay bashing but that is a plus for the right. Whip the phobia into a frenzy and they’ll buy it.

          • Bob in Boston

Bachmann voted for the Patriot act – the most un-patriotic legislation ever passed by Congress!

          • http://naver samurai

She only voted for parts of it and not the whole thing. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

    • Old Henry

      Sounds awfully racist Rman.

  • T-Texas

It is not the scandals that is hurting the GOP but the relentless news media hunting trivial things. What should be investigated is why we have a illegal person in the presidents place in the White House.Tell the public what a outlaw administration they and a bunch of treacherous people put in office.
I think that Huntsman is a obummer Trojan Horse.

    • http://DTaft5.blogspot.com Doreen Taft

I agree but I think he’s got 2 in the race. Newt is no. 2. To me he’s an Obama in white man skin. Liberal to the core and a liar and cheat.

    • T-Texas

Also why didn’t liberal news media jump on obummer when this ford guy accused him of having a homo sexual, crack smoking and cocaine snorting affair in the back seat of a limo.when he was a state senator. This wasn’t as long ago as some of Cain’s alledged affairs. If true at least there were no dope and homosickle accusations.I don’t believe anything that the mains put out.

      • eddie47d

You say they are bringing up trivial things on the GOP (what are they) but here you are bringing up trivial things about Obama. That alleged 13 year affair with Cain ended last year so that is not so far off.You seem to be worse than the media in bringing up dangerous sound bites and meaningless accusations.

        • T-Texas

That is my point the homosickle affair is aledge but the dope usage is by his own admission.Him not being born in Hawaii is his own admission.Him being muslim is by is own admission.

          • mickey

So what is alleged by Larry Sinclair? He is on Ytube, willing to go to court.

What is alleged in the cover up of birth and college records? Occidental already conceded obama attended college as a foreign student?

What is alleged about sending a drone to kill a US citizen, then killing the man’s 16 yr old son?

Cain would’ve been an idiot to cover up any prior affairs and then think he could run for prez as a repub.

obama may think that he is teflon don but even the teflon don went to jail.

          • Joe H

YES! I would love to see Abummer be investigated like Cain or even Palin!!! could you imagine THAT??? I’d almost bet big money he wouldn’t come out as squeaky clean as Sarah Palin did!!! He’d be on a boat out of the US!!

          • http://naver samurai

100% agree Joe H. Keep up the good fight, fellow patriot! FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

        • eddie47d

Okay but what are the trivial things said about the GOP?

  • Yipeeiokiyay

If the GOP would extract their heads from their asses they wouldn’t have any of these issues with RON PAUL.

  • Whatever

If Huntsman is so concerned about the GOP, why doesn’t rethink his OWN candidancy?!! I’m not a Cain fan, but I’m pretty sure he is a good American. As for Huntsman…who knows where his loyalties lie…?

    • eddie47d

Loyalties should be to the USA not the Republican Party or the Democrat Party. Country First and Paul fits that bill. Yes I know I lean Democrat and I would vote Democrat again or for Paul if the Republicans don’t pull their heads out.

  • http://DTaft5.blogspot.com Doreen Taft

I can’t believe that you believe anything that mainstream media has to say. Go read Ann Coulter’s article in WND and be reminded of the Clinton affairs and how the Demos said that his private life was no ones business. Read what this last one that claims a 13 yr affair is all about. Main Stream media hasn’t published one descent story on Obama and his screw ups, his lies, his not recognizing a national day of prayer, etc etc etc. But, you can jump on the bandwagon against the one person running who hasn’t been in office all the years putting the screws to us the Citizens of this country. He didn’t get rich from insider trading, he hasn’t allowed illegals to take over this country or let the unions as the candidates today have. Remember Newt helped Clinton and Gore get their Global Warming Ball to rolling. He’s a liberal in Rep. clothing just to get to run again. HOw about his divorcing a wife with cancer, to marry a woman he was having an affair with while in office, divorcing her and marrying again. I bet that if every member of Congress had their backgrounds dug into and their affairs published there would be a rude awakening. Clinton only had 5 affairs and lied while in office and was impeached and some act like he’s still should be on a pedestal. I don’t want a career politician back in office to dance us around the flag pole again. Go Read Ann Coulters Article it will remind you of a few things and maybe you will take the blinders off.

    • Ted Crawford

Mr. Cains’ problem is very simple. He is a popular Black Conservative! The Progressives must destroy him at all costs!

      • T-Texas

        Amen

      • Richard Pawley

My hunch is that while Obama, Romney and Gingrich, can be controlled, or expected to work within certain parameters, an independent like Herman Cain and Ron Paul are to maverick to be counted on. I’ve read that one of Obama’s biggest supporters first supported John McCain. It’s all about money. Politics is just the path to power and money. Look at all the insider trading done by congress. Why did Martha Stewart have to go to jail for what some members of congress routinely do? Because congress is our equivalent to royalty, barons and baroness. May God help us because no one else is going to do so.

      • ALL AMERICAN

I have faith in Mr Cain.
        He is a good American.

    • eddie47d

I don’t put much credibility in Ann Coulter for she is a radical extremist in her views and will enhance anything to get attention. In other words just another shock jock.

      • Dale on the left coast

eddie . . Coulter has a way of delivering her message that really upsets the looney left . . . but she is almost always CORRECT in her assessments. Why don’t you list three times she was wrong? Bet you can’t . . .

        • eddie47d

Are you that naive Dale ? When doesn’t she have her foot in mouth? It’s not like she is blogging to like minded people who might accept her verbiage. Calling McCain in public a “douche-bag and and “dickweed” might entice you but that doesn’t turn on the general public. You know …normal folks. 1. “It took just a few shootings at Kent State to shut them down for good”. The conservative mind works in strange ways. 2. “I think torture should be a spectator sport” Oh goody back to the gladiator days. 3. “Jews need to be perfected and would be alot better if they become Christians”. Who says Christians don’t want to indoctrinate others? 4. “I’ve never seen people (9/11 victim spouses) enjoy their husbands deaths so much”. True American that gal? 5. “If we took away the women’s vote there would be fewer stupid women” At least she can insult herself. 6. “Muslims I want to kill them all” That is one of the nicer things she says about them. 7. In 2007 she said it was no big deal “that 20,000 Iraqi’s were dead” then laughs and says “we are going to instill democracy in Iraq”. Atta girl let’s use more violence to achieve our goals. Actually there were far more than 20,000 Iraqi who were killed and closer to 100,000 at that time. 8. Made a comment about there never being any Canadian soldiers in Vietnam . Actually there were several thousand and 80 were killed. I guess that leave her out for knowledge and accracy.

While at Ann Coulter’s website, also read her piece on David Axelrod. She tells how Axelrod brought out the same type of charges against Obama’s state Senate opponent, and his Federal Senate opponent as well…all to common a pattern is seen here!

  • JohnT

Dear All, Don’t be suckered into the Republican/Democrat paradigm. Except for a small set of individuals on both sides of the aisle, they are all corrupt. Whether it’s Nancy Pelosi or John Boehner benefitting from insider trading, to Newt Gingrich profiting from “advising” Fannie Mae. Focus on the individuals, like Huntsman or Ron Paul or even Bernie Saunders (though I don’t agree with his views I have alot of respect for him).

    • Vigilant

I’m afraid that until the political system is changed, the Republican/Democrat paradigm and none other is what we have to work with.

The next president of the US will be from one of those two parties, period. Looking for perfection in any candidate is a fruitless pursuit.

  • Ted Crawford

I feel this is very counterproductive! What Dr. Paul and Mr. Huntsman must realize is the fact that the opposition is in the White House, not within their own party!
President Obama has, or soon will have, $1 Billion to spew hateful negative rhetoric at the Conservative candidate, he doesn’t need, nor do we, their help!

    • eddie47d

It’s fine to be loyal to Party but the negativity comes from the Republicans also and maybe more so. Last week Romney bashed Obama in an ad and accused him of saying something he didn’t . It was John McCain who had said it so let the lying begin!

      • Joe H

        eddie,
Post what he said, or are we supposed to just take your word for it??

      • eddie47d

Maybe his campaign ad will come to a neighborhood near you in Ohio. Unless it’s been pulled so you’ll just have to wait. It only played out here once and was on the news once that I know of. So I can’t repeat the exact quote.

        • Joe H.

          Figured!!!

    • Bob in Boston

County first, party second. Ron Paul’s anti-newt ad was spot on – I don’t want someone whose flip-flopped as much as Romney and profited millions from “advising” Freddie/Fannie right before they blew up anywhere NEAR the whitehouse. I used to think Newt might make a good VP for Ron Paul (two smartest guys in the race for sure) but now I’ll have to settle for the smartest guy (Paul) and someone else.

  • aurelio nunez

PERSONNELY, MR CAIN SHOULD DROP OUT.

  • Brian

Sorry Huntsman but the GOP is what is hurting the GOP. Except for Ron Paul the GOP field is nothing but statists who will continue to do the bidding of Big Business at the expense of our liberty.

  • AJ

Down with GOP Bull Sh_t! Ron Paul 2012 or
    no GOP at all!

    • Joe H

      I’ll buy that!!!

  • Vivian

Mr. Huntsman, for your information, someone went after Cain to assure his popularity as the number one candidate would plummet, and it did. Logic dictates that the next rising star out of the bunch will meet the same fate and be dogged with rumor and innuendo, even factoids. If it were you in that spot, would you want to flee from adversity? Hiding on the golf course when the going gets tough doesn’t cut it.

  • Denny

Personally, I don’tbelieve Herman Cain had involvement with those women. I looked up their back grounds. All associated with Democrats. The Democrats can not talk issues. Not unless they want to expose how they are actually tearing this country apart. They also can not stand to have a black minority running afainst Obama. Go ahead and tell me why all this came out when he became popular? Not before.Cain should pursue a slander suite against all of them, and try to connect it to the Democrats. The sleaze in this entire election, will come from the Democrat Leadership. Period. And there is going to be a lot more. ingrich will get his, so will anyother primary winner for the GOP.

Am I a Republican? No a once Democrat who started voting Independent in 1996 when I finally realized where the Democrat Leadership, and George Sorros was taking America. The bought ff Democrats like Reid, Peloski, Frank, Dodd, Boxer, and many others. All the un-elected czars Obama has who are not controlled by congress or elected, Obama’s cabinet of tax dogers and crooks, when, oh when, is the American public going to wake up regarding where these people are taking us? Most of these people belong in jail for sedition and treason that I have mentioned. Plus a few more. they have even bought off the main stream media. Look at what Sorros owns in the way of media. America, you are being brain washed.

    • http://N/A John Bellotte

Amen, Denny. You hit the nail on the head. Obama is promoting class warfare, more taxes (they will eventually hit the middle class also), more spending. He wants to extend the payroll tax exemption for the workers, but he won’t consider cutting other useless govt. agencies, or social programs to pay for it. He only wants to spend the US into bankruptcy. He can’t stand to run against a black conservative because he, Soros, and the liberal left know he will loose.

      • eddie47d

John; I doubt if Obama would lose against Cain and that is a pipe dream for you. There has also been class warfare since the beginning of time. When the Kings,Lords and whoever controls the economy takes more than they earned and deserve then the distinctions are quite clear. The people revolt and demand change. We know where that divide rose from in the USA and it’s from many sources. Whether Wall Street scams, bankster rip offs, insider trading in Washington and on Wall Street, Big Pharma controlling our health care or having CEOs without any shame. So be careful in where you lay the blame on class warfare for we are surrounded by it. .

He also wants Cap and Trade passed, which send our economy into a tailspin and never recover. He also forced Obama bin Laden Care upon the people when a vast majority didn’t want it. He bombed Lybia without the approval of the Senate or Congress. He hides his past and has wackos for friends. Listened to a so called “pastor” for 20 years and couldn’t tell he had some screws loose in his head. Used a passport from another country to go to Pakistan. Cancelled the National Day of Prayer. Lies about being a Christian. Still have troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, though he promised to have them back within the first 6 months he took office. “Go ahead and tell me why all this came out when he became popular?”

You’re right, Denny. The leftist media plays the GOP field like a shooting gallery. As each successive bobblehead pops to the top, the media collectively takes aim and fires off whatever dirt they can either dredge up or manufacture.

Dr. Paul has remained relatively unscathed because he is unlikely to ever attain the top spot in the running. It’s been suggested that the media has ignored Dr. Paul because they fear him; nothing could be further from the truth. As long as the majority of GOP voters part ways with him on national security issues, he will remain in the single or low double digits.

Don’t get me wrong. On the domestic front, Paul knows better than anyone what sort of remedy is required. It has been his foreign policy pronouncements, right or wrong, that will relegate him to the Harold Stassen department of perennial also-rans. I wish that it could be otherwise.

    • eddie47d

To think we have another full year of this nonsense. I’m referring to you Denny in this case. You don’t believe that the Koch’s don’t control the purse strings and Murdoch doesn’t control the media. Don’t worry the Democrats have been and will talk the issues. I have enjoyed the Republican debates and all the flip flopping that has been exposed. It also means the Republicans will have better and stronger arguments to use against the Democrats. May the best person win.

And Huntsman seems to ignore the fact that this distraction is on purpose. The sheep need to be distracted so the media annointed candidate can slide right into the nomination wirhout ever really having to address real issues. I guess Huntsman’s comment shows him to be just one of the distracted sheeple.

  • Brenda Choate

Huntsman has no right to even suggest Cain drop out of the race based on the scandals. Clinton won the White House even with his sexual exploits while Governor of Arkansas. Obama won the Whie House even though he was associated with questionable companions and was a community organizer. JFK won dispite the rumors or his sexual activities. There will always be someone who wants to destroy a persons reputation just as there will be those who want to believe the worst of others.
    Pay attention to the isues.

  • steve in AZ

It doesn’t take much of an imaginary stretch to posit that the three ring circus of sexual misconduct accompanying ol’ 666er’s campaign was designed by himself or his backers as a means of distracting the voters from the real issues at hand for which he has few answers other than 999, while keeping the spotlight on Mr. Cain.

I’ve enjoyed a few of his one-liners and his spunk, but our last president spent his last term in office cracking jokes while Rome burned, and the current occupant of the white house, well, don’t get me started. We don’t need anymore jokes from or in DC.We’ve had a sufficiency of that already.

The next POTUS faces the greatest challenges we have ever seen. We need a man of principle with a consistent record of common sense. More importantly, we need ALL Americans focused on restoring our republic.

Jon Huntsman has proven to be a good govenor except for his tendancy to overspend and he supports world free trade which I feel is hurting the American worker. Now he thinks Mr. Cain should step down because of unproven accusations against him. If all we have to do to get rid of a candidate is to have somebody jump up and scream “SCANDAL! SCANDAL!”, I would have a serious problem supporting Huntsman as a serious candidate. Herman Cain and Ron Paul and Newt are the only ones that have said what should be done to fix America. All the others are just trying to tear down the other candidates or Obama. We ended up with Obama because we were told Bush was bad, not because Obama was good and we ended up with another President that has no clue of what the working American needs from their government. And we still do not know who Obama is. Controversy over his birth and his refusal to disclose his school records. I was taught that secrets usually are to cover up lies. Only time will tell on this one. If Jon Huntsman believes a man should be punished because of unproven accusations, then maybe Jon Huntsman should withdraw. He is no better than Obama for shooting American citizens for being accused of being terrorists, though not tried or convicted. “Probably” or “obviously” guilty is not the American way that I grew up with. Innocient until proven guilty is the law of this land.

    • mickey

Yes, killing drone for the father and then in the US the son?

Which is worse? Cain MAYBE having an affair or obama killing US citizens?

  • Kanith

I wish all of you conservatives would do what I am doing. Every time an accusation comes out against Cain, I send him a donation. No kidding. If all of us would do it, perhaps the left wing attackers would wise up and realize that an accusation means more money for Cain. I send $10 at a time. It doesn’t break my bank but it is a show of support.

    • eddie47d

The problem with that it also works for the “other side”. Every time a false accusation is leveled against Obama the money pours in.How about finding ways to stop the false accusations against either side and just donate to whomever you feel is the best candidate.

These types of accusations appear to give rise to entertainment news’ viewers. While I wouldn’t vote for Cain, think it was too soon and he would be better to learn more about the government before becoming prez, I think the dems went overboard on him.

Like I can’t think of Rahm anyway than envisioning him in a shower room naked punching his finger in another naked man’s chest.

Really, the dems mandate sex education (homosexuality) in kindergarten????? And then go after Cain with this knee jerk business?

The dems are just afraid that a real, natural born person of color might supplant their current imposter.

  • Elizabeth Sloot

Do not be deceived by the Democrats or the GOP, they both have their hands in this smearing of Cain. Do not be deceived by Newt’s view points, he is only telling you what you want to hear. Doesn’t it seem funny to you that one week Newt was only in single digits in the polling and the next week he is in the lead? All made up by the media including Fox. Newt will be the chosen by the GOP and even if he wins and becomes President it will be the same old thing nothing will change and all will have their cosy jobs at our expense. There is no differance between the Democrats and the old guard of the GOP.

    • Dale on the left coast

I think you are wrong!!! Newt has a Proven Track Record . . . he was responsible for changing the direction of govt in the 90′s . . . reigning in spending and welfare reform. Unlike the current occupany that now has a Record of Destruction of the US Edonomy.

Also, his current position on the FED was Ron Paul’s position LONG before Gingrich picked up on it … Please give Ron Paul an HONEST look. Don’t believe the biased media when they tell us he can’t win. He CAN!!!!!

Also, please remember that it was Newt who helped bring us NAFTA, GATT and the PATRIOT Act — He joined Nancy Pelosi in a TV ad in support of Global Warming — He has supported Cap & Trade in the past — He admitted to receiving $300,000 from Fannie and Freddie, but forgot to tell us about the rest of the $1.6-$1.8 MILLION he received from them!!

And, then, there’s his position on granting AMNESTY to Illegal Aliens. He says he is against Amnesty, but wants, instead, a “path to legality” for these “undocumented”, illegal aliens. My dictionary reads — Amnesty: “A general pardon for offenders by a government, esp. for politcal offenses.” Thus, am I wrong in deducting, from this, that “pardoning” the illegal actions of these “offenders” is opening their “path to legality”? Sounds like “double speak to me –”A rose/amnesty by any other name is still a rose/amnesty”!!

I was a Gingrich fan in the 90′s, until I saw what he was really about. I grew tired of hearing what HE thought I wanted to hear, when all I wanted was the TRUTH. TRUTH is what I am getting from RON PAUL, and HE is the one who gets MY vote.

        RON PAUL/2012!!! He CAN win- – - – -

Actually I believe that “things” WILL change, regardless of who is our next president. They will get worse, and if we don’t stop squandering all we can borrow or print, you had better prepare for prices at least tripling, riots, and food shortages. We have become an immoral nation and that is why we feel that inflation is desirable, and taking from those who have worked to give to those who will not is somehow good. We have become a lawless nation, when even the President and the Department of Justice ignore the law and do what they choose. One of our punishments is going to be inflation. When we were a moral nation there was almost no inflation for a hundred years but our national lack of morality has nearly destroyed the foundation of our country.

Psalm 11, verse 3 in the Bible says, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Those who know their God and seek His guidance will still be affected by what is coming but won’t suffer as much as those who refuse to give Him His due, reject His word and relish doing their own thing. Verse 5 says, “The Lord will try the righteous, but the wicked, and him that loveth iniquity, doth his soul hate!” and the next verse goes on to say what God will do to the wicked.

Believer’s need to pray that God will guide all those who are running for president. If He truly wishes to punish the United States than Obama will be president for four more years and the Democrats will still control the Senate AND things will get much worse, but God could give us a breather so those who align themselves with Him will have a bit more time to prepare for the serious bad times that are coming. Wiser men than I have said that what we will all be experiencing in the future is not just because of the Democrats or the Republicans, or the socialists or the greedy unions but because of God’s righteous anger. He has put up with just about the limit of what He is going to let us do as we ignore His laws and even our own. We have gone beyond the point of no return and I do believe you are correct when you say that there is little difference between whom the elites decide runs as a Democrat or as a Republican. We need someone who puts the United States first and not their own pocketbooks but we really don’t deserve another George Washington or John Adams. Additionally many people from all kinds of various Christian and Jewish organizations and churches and groups have come to the same conclusion, and God seldom tells just one, if He wants His message to be heard. I cannot say when but there are those who believe we have less than 24 months before we begin to experience perilous and harsh times and all are going to be affected, some more than others. To much to tell. May God enlighten all who read this.

Herman Cain must be quite a womaniser to have attracted so many women in his lifetime thus far lol and even if true why should his interest in women be the wrong qualification to be President?…would you prefer he be a-sexual or a nuet. I wish i had that many women clain such high interest in me…lol I think he could start naming the wives of some of his oppositions and claim he had affairs with them and would be writing a book to expose all the threesomes he might have had with other candidates? Would that be more salacious for your voters? Perhaps Hugh Heffner could do a story on how many woman will be voting for Cain or inviting him to co-write a book?? The main distractions at the moment is Europe and their terminal financial woes and certainly not Cain. The continent was invaded 223 years ago and I live here now after my American citizened grandfather got stuck somewhere else before the war. And I have every right to stick my nose in your problems as we Australians have a lot riding on what your politicians do in your country and the world and quite apart from the $billions of our savings are in your economy. The only reason Huntsman is focusing on the so-called Cain scandals is because he wants Cain to drop out of the running in the hopes that some of the ‘former’ Cain supporters will bolster his camp. Huntsman errs in his thinking–should Cain quit the race, I would definitely support Bachman, who is a much more worthy candidate than Huntsman will ever be. The character assassinatins are not hurting the GOP contenders; what these low-life cheaters are doing is a shoddy attempt to ferret out all those who could potentially beat obammy in the next round of voting. Romney is ever so hopeful he will be the front-runner when it comes time to name the nominee. Does anyone think it’s a coincidence that the media isn’t shaking Romney down like they have the really serious contenders? If the GOP/RNC puts romney in as the #1 nominee for President, bet your sweet bippie I will have a write-in name because I wouldn’t vote for that nappy if he were running for dog catcher!

I read that some are pretty sure Romney is going to be the Republican candidate and when that happens then the democrats will start attacking his religion and all sorts of things to make the people vote for Obama so this is why we have to be diligent in our support for a candidate so the one the democrats want in there, doesn’t get in there. I wish I had the link but I don’t. I read stuff and then click on the big X in the corner.

What is this moron talking about? Is this what he thinks of Republican voters? We don’t need this thing in the White House. He is already trying to tell us what to think and say. This is a Democrat in drag.

I could care less about the dog and pony show. Last chance for a vote and support for Ron Paul. No more status quo for me. Anything less is to me unpatriotic. Unless you like the war machine and all that goes with it. So simple even a caveman can see it, I like liberty and Congressman Paul’s voting record with the Constitution. Seems so obvious to me, I can’t imagine a vote for anyone else. RON PAUL 2012

    • FWO21

In 2008, I did not vote for the status quo and look who is in office… a democrat.

If you don’t vote Republican or Democrat, then everyone is screwed. Not enough people are willing to go outside the box and vote; they vote for the lesser of two evils. Yes, I would like to get away from the Rep./Dem. thing but how do you do it without risking your vote going to the wrong party?

I think that the nation’s largest problem is the potential devaluing our paper currency (which amounts to hyper-inflation). On top of this, we are mostly consumers, of foreign made products, which our internatinal trade agreements spawned, and produce relatively little “made in America” products for export. Further compounding our problem is massive unemployment, therefore a high demand for social services, which a rapidly declining tax base can no longer support. Elected representatives from both political parties contrib-uted to this situation over 8 decades. Without statesman in Congress and the Administration, who can understand and speak to our mistakes and unify our divided nation and focus on resolving our problems, we stand little chance to recover. Our current political parties appear most like two drunks, arguing over a bar bill on the Titanic. The clearest thinker in this political malaise appears to be Dr. Paul, but he also appears to be too impatient with the warring factions to see much real hope in resolving the many arguments. None the less, I hope is on the ticket that finally emerges.

      Well summarised Arden Brey.

      • Joe H.

Gee, gilly, doesn’t that contradict what you claim, that we live for selling our products all over seas?? He just said we are a country of consumers of FOREIGN made products!!! Where are you from, really?? boston??

This is exactly the response the Obama re-election team is hoping for. And Huntsman’s response? Why pay attention to this Obama supporter? The noirmal response for an accused might be to sling mud at the mud slingers in retaliation but Cain is staying above the Democrats by keeping his campaign clean. You have to respect that. We’ve had many Democrats in the Oval Office who were unable to keep their flies zipped – Roosevelt, Kennedy, Johnson, Clinton and I’m sure that zipper drops on Obama’s pants when he’s alone with some ‘older white guy’ as is his preference. They can’t detract from their own sleezy history by buying bimbos they find in dumpsters to smear Cain. Huntsman has been out of the race since he first entered so why can’t he either concentrate on cleaning up his own history or drop out?

  • FWO21

I believe this was staged because they don’t want a black man opposite a black man because if there is, Obama will lose for sure. Then we couldn’t be accused of being a racist.

I don’t believe the allegations either. I think they were all trumped up to bring Cain down. I’m glad he’s not giving up. He needs to address the allegations and then get on with his campaigning.

You will never find a saint to run for president so you might as well not even try.

    • Thinking About

Pretty smart staters huh. They staged a woman 13 years ago to set up an affair with Cain. What about staging settled case by NRA and let us not forget these ladies are from the Chicago area where NRA is located.

Obama can spend the rest of this term playing golf everyday and he will still win by a landslide. The man has no opposition and he knows it. Just get used to it and stop daydreaming that any GOP candidate has any sort of remote chance of dethroning this clown. They are all clowns, not all Americans in the true sense, but definitely clowns dancing to the tune of the ring master. We are well and truly screwed. Have a nice day, you never know when it will be your last.

    • http://gillysrooms.blogspot.com Gillysrooms

Well said Peter. Obama wont lose…hes the only credible President available in these impossible times and he dont have to prove it all over again. The Republicans are screwed.

      • http://naver samurai

Obama bin Laden is the only credible president? I think you neeeeed to be making that popping sound. FOR GOD AND COUNTY!

        • Joe H.

          gilly,
I changed my mind. Now I would bet you are from CHICAGO!!!!

  • http://deleted Claire

Ye gods, why doesn’t Cain just shut up and drop out. I don’t care if he is black, I never liked him in the beginning EVEN before all the garbage about his “female trouble” happened.

    • Joe H.

      Soon, Claire, Soon!!!

      • http://deleted Claire

JoeH–Well, Cain “suspended” his campaigning. If he had used another word instead of “supsended” I would believe he had dropped out. But this tells me he will re-enter next year after the stink blows over. I do not trust this guy. Never have and never will trust him.

        • http://deleted Claire

          “suspended” Good grief.

  • MCGJr

So who is to blame for this?
    * Cain? Surely without PROOF, you cannot blame him?
    * Huntsman? Maybe he should just keep his mouth SHUT and not fuel the fire?
    * The press? They get their jollies from such things and they do not care
about what is true or not.

Where is someone with the guts and resources to really do a thorough and honest investigation of what REALLY happened. If the allegations cannot be proven it’s time to challenge the legal basis for “Public Figures” being fair game for any attack. I am generally against law suits for every little disagreement. But, this exceeds the bounds of what is reasonable.
