How Does the 1 percent Control the 99 percent?

How Does the 1 percent Control the 99 percent?

“It is the absolute right of the state to supervise the formation of public opinion whatever the state needs to do.”—Joseph Goebbels

We cannot understand modern despotism and police power unless we understand modern money.

Modern money in the United States and the whole world is fiat paper money and credit. It is under the total control of government (and the bankers).

This means that all government funding is with fiat counterfeit paper that is created in unlimited amounts and costs the government nothing. But it transfers wealth and savings of the people to the money creators and government through the depreciation of the currency. The American people have no understanding of how the government gets everything literally for nothing. It is the source of all government power. The control of free and unlimited funding with created money in unlimited amounts guarantees the power and control of the 1 percent over the 99 percent.

The American people are taught voodoo economics. They have absolutely no understanding of reality.

So how does the 1 percent control the 99 percent? By gross deception at all levels:

  • By controlling all news media, printed and live.
  • By controlling all newscasters.
  • By controlling public education from start to finish.
  • By controlling the “healthcare” system. The public is kept sick by mass vaccinations.
  • Through fear campaigns:
    1. Fear of disease to manipulate people to take mass vaccinations.
    2. Fear of financial collapse for an excuse to increase fiat, diluting the purchasing power of the currency and destroying dollar assets of savers.
    3. Fear of bogey-man enemies. Example: Saddam Hussein’s “weapons of mass destruction.”
    4. Fear through war propaganda that is waged by the military industrial complex. The words democracy and patriotism are heavy words used repeatedly. Perpetual war is possible because of unlimited access to funding with fiat paper money.
  • Income tax controls the population by forcing “voluntary” disclosure of personal information.
  • Information about the people is typical and necessary to tyranny. Fear of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is awesome.
  • Government at all levels promotes the state over the individual person. Personal freedom is the enemy of the state. In all things the state promotes the collective man and the collective mind.
  • The virtue of individualism always gives way to group dynamics through the group psychosis of altruism. The state can manipulate the crowd far easier than the individual.
  • The bigger bureaucratic government is, the more it fears the people. The government has to control the population in order to control the government.

Only the power of propaganda keeps the people from overthrowing the government by force.

Also, government (the 1 percent) holds the police power and the military power, the main purpose of which is the silent force to contain the population. Even though the population in the U.S. is armed, there is no general awareness that government is enemy No. 1.

Toward the last days of a fiat regime, confidence in government accelerates on the downside and the risk of armed violence escalates. Hence, stepped-up oppression of the government against the people.

Gold rises and is hoarded. Controls at all levels are intensified with the strategy that the bigger counter-force will prevail. Government bets that its own police and military will not mutiny.

Pensions and pay loom large in the collective mind of Federal police and armed forces. None realize that their pensions in fiat will be worthless.

Modern propaganda in America hides behind and is passed off as science and research.

In the last days the people begin to realize that their “elected” representatives are really employees of the Federal Government. Modern government, especially the U.S. government, operates above the threshold of the intelligence of the people. The people are controlled because they can’t discern between hocus-pocus and reality.

The fiat paper money mentality is something for nothing and the government obliges with bread and circus. The population is unaware that they are unaware. Criminal government is recognized when the rule of law breaks down, as now.

The control by the 1 percent of the 99 percent can be summed up in two words: “Psychological warfare.”

    Bob, Totaly 100% on target.

    • denniso

What an absurd article! First, couldn’t Bob get the spelling of ‘Goebbels’ right? And to compare our gov’t to nazi Germany is ridiculous at best, and asinine at worst…he’s apparently been reading too many similar comments right here on his own site.

Secondly, doesn’t he and you people realize that ‘the government’ is actually ‘the people’??? No, we don’t have a perfect democracy or republic but we do get to vote people in or out,and a good part of the ‘police state’ is made up of state police officers that are in theory accountable to the different states, not the feds.

To echo what many rightwingers are spouting, that ‘government is enemy no. 1, is exactly what helps precipitate acts of violence like the Oklahoma City bombing by McVeigh and the recent plane attack on the IRS in Austin…is that what Bob and most of the posters here want? It looks that way to me.

I wonder too, if Bob talked like this when we did come pretty close to a fascist adminstration under Cheny/Bush? I know that other rightwingers didn’t,precisely because they were, and are, loyal to their rightwing party and acted just like most of the loyal Germans did under Hitler. Now that we have a new party in some degree of control, the rightwing is on the attack w/ screeds like Bob’s.

Gov’t is enemy number one??? All of you are part of ‘the gov’t'…vote, protest, attend city council meetings, write, yell, but get off that ridiculous cliche and do something to keep ‘your’ gov’t in check,w/o supporting wackos who may act on this kind of violent talk.

How do I become one of the 1%?

        • VLV

You are so right. We are feeling the impact now. They can achieve power and wealth over you by using disinformation and fiat money. We let them manipulate us through the making of laws that they use to their advantage. The internet is the next step by cencoring and making it costly to subscribe certain websites, but they said it’s for our own good.

          Thank you again Bob.

          • http://donotknow Jacque

This is what James Orwell wrote when he wrote Animal Farm and 1984, so this is really know surprise to me. I read those books 38 years ago. James was a genius. Sure wish I had known him.

          • coal miner

            Jacque,

Not James, his pen name was George Orwell, his real name, was Eric Arthur Blair, a liberal socialist.George also wrote 84,it resembles Stalin’s Russia.Another writer,Aldous Huxley,He wrote Brave New world. You can order these books over the internet.Check them out. They are interesting.

        • JC

That’s easy DB, just change your name to Rothschild or Rockefeller…

      • Mike

Denniso, Bob is like me not loyal to the Republican party he is being loyal to God. George Bush was far from ideal. Look at someones past deeds, friends, parents, schools, and business assoates. You will get the picture of who they are and what they will do. Wake-up or our destruction is comming. Read the Declaration of Indpendance and the Constitution. Contrary to the lies put out by the ” Left ” these were God fearing and very wise men. Mike

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

Mike – Always have to have someone else to blame instead of the mug in the mirror. We the people are the whole government complex, yet we only gritch about everything instead of admitting to our errors and trying to do something about it. While you have your index finger pointing at someone else, you have your middle, ring and little finger pointing back at yourself. Take a good look at your hand and your thumb may be pointing to GOD.

        • Yandle

          Mike,
          You are so correct!

      • SiliconDoc

Gee Denniso, do you really expect me to buy your line of BS ?
” To echo what many rightwingers are spouting, that ‘government is enemy no. 1, is exactly what helps precipitate acts of violence like the Oklahoma City bombing by McVeigh and the recent plane attack on the IRS in Austin…”

So, it wouldn’t be that “the recent pilot” in Autsin outlined 4 or 5 personal tax rape situations that caused him to attack, right Denniso ? Instead, you claim it’s posters and talkers that may or may not have gotten the shaft before… and therfore all those talking or typing “like Bob” need to “shutup !” according to you, and your infantile analysis, because they “helped precipitate” the Austin IRS building attack…
You know, if you weren’t such a mind controlled numbskulled liberal robot that repeats left wing talking points before even thinking about them, you might have had a point.
        BUT YOU DON’T.
It’s rather clear Denniso that some programmer that gets his retirement acct. raped 3 or 4 times by the IRS has his own ideas when it comes to “what’s wrong with the government” that probably BLOW AWAY anything and everything anyone, including you, could concoct in text or speech on some website or in person.
If some entity RAPES your retirement account multiple times, and even after YEARS of letter writing, phone calling, meeting attendance, and PLEADING the redress of grievance, you are stlil ignored, as was the fella in Austin – THERE’S NOT A CHANCE IN DILLWEED DICKO THAT SOMETHING BOB SAID HERE SENT THE GUY OVER THE EDGE!
Now, next time, please take a second or two thinking before you spew some censoring free speech crap at posters here because you, “mr homeleand security” thought in your tiny, encased peanut like mind, that “they’re vocally inciting terrorists”.
Tell ya what lefto, hike into a Mosque, or Obama’s former Rev. Wright church and coem back and tell us about inciting hatred and action – heck ISN’T THAT EXACTLY WHAT COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS ARE SUPPOSED TO DO !!
        hahahhaha

        • JeffH

          SiliconDoc …GREAT!

      • jason fulton

So Dennisso you havent read this healthcare bill that puts the govt in every aspect of our lives.I for one will not live under anyone.for a long time we have been ruled by the govt only this is the thing. We are supposed to rule the govt.I dont know what kind of govt we have today a cross between Fascism and Communism. We are supposed to have a Republic.the govt is there to Protect rights not Take them away.
When a govt starts regulating and limiting rights they are no longer rights.they become privileges.

      • One of the sheep

The scary thing is that some people believe the demagogs who are taking over America are responding to the people, when the people clearly no longer want the lies and grand schemes that were thrown at them in the last election. The marxist regime in washington is hell bent to do what they want to do without the consent of the electorate, or dealing with anyone who does not totally accept their philosophy. Their new defintion of “bi-partisan” is “do what I want, you have no say in this.” They will do this because they believe the rest of us are too stupid and need their direction and state control to save us. Democrat voters will not open their eyes to the reality of what is happening. When someone plays back the examples of lying and deception of their politicos, they scream “rightwing extremists”. This country was created by right wingers, and will do perfectly well if we prevent the demos from changing us to European socialist failures. It is such outrageous leftwing actions that cause severe reactions to the right that are so destructive. Do democrats only read their own revisionist history, and not know anything about the past?
Such arrogance, and power grabbing will be defeated this year. Proof that our country has always been the only hope of freedom. They cannot take that away, the genie is out of the bottle.

      • Arkham Grundy

        Well said, Denniso.

      • Jimmy G

        Too long, So long.

      • DaveH

The only things I see on this board that are absurd, Denniso, are your Hyperbolic comments, and those of your fellow condescending, thieving Liberals.

        • denniso

DaveH…’hyperbolic statements’???Do you know the definition of the word and do you read any of your buddies garbage on here? Get real!!!

      • REYKOOL

DENNISON, HOW POLITICALLY NAIVE AND IGNORANT YOU HAVE TO BE ! …WE ARE NOT IN A DEMOCRACY, ADOLPH HITLER LIKE GEORGE BUSH OR OBAMA WAS ALSO ELECTED. ELECTIONS ARE FIXED. NUMBER ONE
SECOND DEMOCRACY MEANS “GOVERNED BY THE PEOPLE” (IN GREEK) SO WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU GOVERNED ? DID YOU CHOOSE TO GIVE THE TARP MONEY TO WALL STREET ? DID YOU VOTE FOR THAT DECISION ? THERE ARE 10 LOBBYISTS FOR EVERY CONGRESSMAN, WHO LOBBY FOR US ?
BETWEEN A DEFENSE CONTRACTOR LIKE KBR OR HALIBURTON WHO MAKE BILLIONS ON GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS (KBR HEAD QUARTER IS “OFF SHORE” THEY DO NOT PAY ANY TAX) WHO LOBBY CONGRESS TO INCREASE THE “WARFARE STATE” BUDGET AND YOU OR ME. WHO DO YOU THINK CONGRESS WILL LISTEN TO? TO MAKE THEIR “FINAL DECISION”.
DEMOCRACY OR PLUTOCRACY ? I SAY “CORPORATOCRACY” WHICH IS A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN BIG GOVERNMENT AND BIG CORPORATIONS. THERE IS ANOTHER NAME FOR IT “FASCISM” SO THE COMPARISON TO THE NAZIS IS NOT THAT FAR FROM THE TRUTH.
I SUGGEST DENNISO TO READ OUR CONSTITUTION AND TAKE A REAL GOOD LOOK AT WHAT AMERICA IS BECOMING TODAY, READ THE PATRIOT ACT… PLEASE !
NOW A WAKE UP CALL :
OUR NATIONAL DEBT IS ALMOST $ 13 TRILLIONS , 350% OF OUR GDP, NOT CREATED BY RIGHT WINGERS OR LIBERALS BUT BY OUR SYTEM OF “CREATION OF FIAT MONEY” AND HERE HOW :
(GOOGLE FINANCIAL MESS-THE REAL DEAL BY MICHAEL MITROSKY)
OUR FEDERAL RESERVE, A CARTEL OF PRIVATE BANKS WHO BY LAW (SINCE 1913) HAS THE EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO ISSUE OUR CURRENCY PRINTS OUR $100, $20 OR $1 BILLS FOR THE COST OF 4 CENTS AND THEN SELLS THOSE BILLS ($100,$20 ETC) TO THE U.S GOVERNMENT FOR (100,20) FACE AMOUNT. OUR GOVERNMENT PAYS FOR THEM IN DEBT: TREASURY BONDS,TREASURY NOTES AND TREASURY BILLS. YOU’LL HEAR OUR MEDIA SAY : “THE FED INJECTED LIQUIDITY INTO THE MARKET”
ALL THIS MEANS IS THAT THE FEDERAL RESERVE IS LITERALLY CREATING MONEY OUT OF THIN AIR AND THEN SELLING THIS MONEY TO OUR GOVERNMENT FOR ITS FACE AMOUNT.
THIS IS THE TRUE SOURCE OF OUR NATIONAL DEBT, AND THIS IS THE REASON OUR DEBT NEVER GOES DOWN NO MATTER WHO IS THE PRESIDENT, OR IS IN CONGRESS.
THE GRACE COMMISSION REPORT (GOOGLE IT) DEMONSTRATED THAT NONE OF THE PERSONAL INCOME TAX GOES TO PAY FOR ANY GOVERNMENT SERVICES (ROADS, SCHOOLS, MILITARY) AND IS USED TO PAY ONLY THE INTEREST ON THE NATIONAL DEBT. IN FACT BOTH THE INCOME TAX AND THE FEDERAL RESERVE WERE CREATED IN THE SAME YEAR 1913. THE INCOME TAX WAS CREATED TO FINANCE THE FEDERAL RESERVE. NOW WHO DO YOU THINK IS REALLY IN CHARGE, OR IN CONTROL OF THE” BOTTOM LINE POLICIES” ? THE BANKRUPTED BORROWER OR THE CREDITOR ?
THE U.S. DECLARED BANKRUPTCY (SECRETLY) IN 1933 AS EXPRESSED IN ROOSEVELT’S EXECUTIVE ORDERS 6073, 6102, 6111, and 6260, HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 192 OF JUNE 5, 1933 CONFIRMED IN PERRY v .U.S. (1935) 294 U.S. 330-381, 79 LEd 912, AS WELL AS 31 UNITED STATES CODE (USC) 5112, 5119 AND 12 USC 95a. OUR RULING ELITE OR “BANKSTERS” GOAL WAS ,AND STILL IS, TO ABSORB AMERICA INTO A ONE-WORLD PRIVATE COMMERCIAL GOVERNMENT, A “NEW WORLD ORDER” IN LATIN “NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM’ WHICH IS PRINTED ON OUR SINGLE DOLLAR BILL UNDER THE PYRAMID SINCE….1933. (THAT INCLUDE A WORLD CURRENCY FROM THE WORLD BANK, FOLLOWING A FUTURE STAGED MAJOR GLOBAL CRISIS OR A MAJOR WAR LIKE WW3 STARTED WITH IRAN/ISRAEL)
SO INSTEAD OF TRYING TO DISCREDIT THIS ARTICLE AND BLAMING THE WRITER FOR NOT SPELLING A NAME RIGHT DENNISO SHOULD EDUCATE HIMSELF ON THE SUBJECT. GOOGLE THE FOLLOWING :
” THE BANKERS MANIFESTO OF 1892″ (DEMONSTRATING MAJOR BANKERS STRATEGY TO CONTROL THE MARKET
“THE CREATURE FROM JEKYLL ISLAND’ BY G .EDWARD GRIFFIN (the VIDEO IS FREE AND BOOK)
OUR “ELECTED OFFICIALS” ARE JUST FRONT MEN,THEY SERVE THEIR PUPPET MASTERS : THOSE WHO CONTROL THE ISSUANCE OF OUR CURRENCY (AND POLICIES) THROUGH THE DEBT SYSTEM.(CENTRAL BANKERS AND WORLD BANK) THE OLIGARCHY, THE RULING ELITE …THE REAL POWER TO BE, (PART OF THE 1%) what ever you want to call it….IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP !
        GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK.

SHA BAM, you are well read and by that i mean you find the facts. I would assume based on your insight that you see the futility in resistance. This plan is marching forward and there is nothing any of us could do to convince others that its even a plan much less do anything to abate it. My education has just started in the last few years and what an eye opener, I have labored under such gross miss conceptions my entire life, completely fooled to the point of blindness. All the sources and information on facts you have researched are a remarkable effort of response for such a whimsical web article. I have come to the conclusion that a look at the past only warns us of the future with out affording the possibility of changing the future. We can not change what is determined for this world but we can find a path to the next one. That world is as obvious as the facts you have pointed out yet, most of us are just as fooled about that reality as well. We can find hope in the truth if we are willing to humble our selves and acknowledge that we are subordinate to a creator who is as relevant as the air we breath.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE TO THIS ARTICLE, YOU HAVE BROUGHT LIGHT TO A SITUATION THAT IS IN THE DARK FOR MOST PEOPLE. GOD BLESS

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Novus_ordo_seclorum
Means “New Order of the Ages” not “New World Order” and is from the 1700′s Please check your facts before SHOUTING THEM ON HERE IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS …….. It might be easier to believe some of the conspiracy proponents if they would use “real facts”

          • REYKOOL

MARC THE “NEW WORLD ORDER” IS A FACT, YOUR PHONY “CORRECTION” IS BASED ON A TRANSLATION OR “INTERPRETATION” OF THE WORDS “NOVO ORDO SECLORUM” WHICH IS JUST A VERY SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT PART OF OUR STORY
WHY DON’T YOU GIVE US THE “FACTS” ON THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM EXPLAINED ON
“THE FINANCIAL MESS- THE REAL DEAL” BY MICHAEL MITROSKY…(GOOGLE IT AND LEARN : FRACTIONAL RESERVE BANKING IS A FACT AND CAN BE FOUND ON FEDERAL RESERVE DOCUMENTS NOW “CONVENIENTLY” OUT OF PRINT, I HAVE COPIES GIVEN TO ME BY A FORMER EXECUTIVE AT THE NEW YORK FED,
THE FEDERAL INCOME TAX WAS CREATED JUST A FEW MONTH AFTER THE FEDERAL RESERVE WAS BORN , (THE FEDERAL RESERVE ACT WAS PASSED ON DECEMBER 23 1913), THIS IS A FACT NOT A “THEORY” AND IT WAS NOT A COINCIDENCE… THE FEDERAL INCOME TAX WAS CREATED TO FINANCE THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM, ANY BODY WHO CAN READ CAN GOOGLE ” THE GRACE COMMISSION REPORT : NOT ONE DIME COLLECTED ON INCOME TAX GOES TO PAY FOR GOVERNMENT SERVICES THIS IS A FACT NOT A “CONSPIRACY THEORY” AND IT IS USED TO PAY ONLY THE INTEREST ON THE NATIONAL DEBT, WHICH IS CREATED BY THE FEDERAL RESERVE ( THE FED PRINT OUR FIAT DOLLAR FOR 4 CENTS AND SELL IT BACK TO OUR GOVERNMENT FOR FULL FACE VALUE, SO WHO DO YOU THINK PAYS FOR THE COST OF “BORROWING” THAT MONEY ?)
WHY DON’T YOU CHECK THE FACTS ON ROOSEVELT’S EXECUTIVE ORDERS 6073, 6102, 6111, and 6260
HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 192 OF JUNE 5 1933 CONFIRMING THAT THE U.S. DECLARED BANKRUPTCY IN 1933 (SEE NATIONAL ARCHIVES AND CONGREGATIONAL RECORDS)
GOOGLE : BANKERS MANIFESTO OF 1892 (HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF,ANOTHER FACT )
I REMEMBER THE IDIOTS ALL SCREAMING ” CONSPIRACY THEORY” WHEN THE FIRST ARTICLE ON THE WATERGATE BURGLARY CAME OUT…I STILL LAUGH BECAUSE THE REAL CONSPIRACY BEHIND WATERGATE IS STILL NOT KNOWN BY THE VAST MAJORITY.
THOSE WHO REFUSE TO FACE THE FACTS AND ACCUSE THE ONES WHO DID THE RESEARCH OF BEING “CONSPIRACY THEORISTS” AND WHO ALWAYS GO ALONG WITH THE “OFFICIAL THEORY” AND GOVERNMENT PROPAGANDA NEVER BRING THE DETAILED DOCUMENTATION TO PROVE THEIR CASE., THEY JUST DISMISS WITHOUT DOING THEIR HOME WORK.
OBEDIENT SHEEPS WHO NEVER QUESTION AUTHORITY AND NEVER THINK ON THEIR OWN, IS WHAT
GOVERNMENT LOVE, ESPECIALLY COMMUNISTS AND RIGHT WING FASCISTS REGIMES….KEEP BEING A GOOD BOY MARC,
WHY NOBODY EVER ASKED THAT OBVIOUS QUESTION :
WHY OUR GOVERNMENT WOULD HAVE AN AGREEMENT WITH A BANKING CARTEL TO ISSUE THEIR OWN CURRENCY AND PAY FULL PRICE , WHICH CREATES A HUGE NATIONAL DEBT TO BE PAID WITH A FEDERAL INCOME TAX RATHER THAN ISSUING THEIR CURRENCY AT ALMOST NO COST (4 CENTS) AND THEREFORE NOT EVEN HAVING THE NEED TO COLLECT AN INCOME TAX, OUR GOVERNMENT WAS OPERATED WITHOUT ANY INCOME TAX COLLECTED BEFORE THE CREATION OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE, FOR OVER 100 YEARS …THAT IS A FACT. (CHECK OUR CONSTITUTION) …
CORPORATE TAX OF COURSE IS A DIFFERENT QUESTION.
IT IS A TAX ON PROFIT ONLY, WHICH IS THE REAL DEFINITION OF INCOME AND ACCEPTABLE
I KNOW THE ANSWER IT CAN BE FOUND IN THE BOOK “THE CREATURE OF JEKYLL ISLAND BY ED GRIFFIN. (GOOGLE THE VIDEO FOR FREE)
CONCLUSION FOR MARC AND THE BLIND BELIEVERS OF “OFFICIAL STORIES” :

“RATIONALITY BELONGS TO THE COOL OBSERVER BECAUSE OF THE STUPIDITY OF THE AVERAGE MAN WHO FOLLOWS NOT REASON BUT FAITH AND HIS NAIVE FAITH REQUIRES NECESSARY ILLUSIONS AND EMOTIONALLY POTENT OVERSIMPLIFICATION PROVIDED BY THE MYTH MAKERS TO KEEP THE BELIEVER ON COURSE”

        • Isaac Unglaub

NOW, HERE IS THE ‘CASUS KNAXUS’: TO FIND OUT WHO ARE THE TRUE HEADS OF THE ‘MONEY-MAKING / PRINTING’ SYSTEM (FEDERAL RESERVE, ETC.), SINCE IT IS ESTABLISHED THAT OUR GOVERNMENT IS NOTHING ELSE BUT A BUNCH OF ‘ELECTED’ GLORIFIED RECEPTIONISTS FOR THIS GROUP (A VERY SMALL PART OF THE 1%)!

      • Jim

        you are an idiot

      • Dennis Bartlett

Denniso, Boy are you naive! As for the right You are naive as well. I know many on that side that protested but didn’t get our point across. That sure doesn’t make us Timothy McVeigh. If you believe Obuma has some semblance of control, you are joking, RIGHT? By your writing I would guess you work for the gov’t and a Progressive. As for me I normally vote(R)because I have been a buisness owner (2) and under the Dem’s it was really tough. Through Carter and the first years of Clinton until Gingrich helped him out. And these are facts. The Dems want to invoke the fairness doctrine,to control the media but the Liberal media can’t cut it so put them on a conservative show?,the dems love the fed which controls the money of which Geitner came from, the big push for the swine flu shots which has mercury in them, the most toxic of materials and no need to be in this shot, public education which doesn’t teach our history (check it out,I have)and most colleges are way left, and you if interested can google it. BOTH sides need to be heard! I do not put myself in the Republican niche because I view myself as a Fiscal Conservative and both do not abide by this view. I love my country and I have fought for this country and I see it going to hell in a hand basket. If you don’t see that then I suppose there is no hope. I ‘HAD’ some Progressive friends who worked for the Gov’t all their lives and think Gov’t should run everything. They just did not understand that it is small buisness that paid their salaries and not the Gov’t! You really do need to get your facts right!!!!

      • Cribster

The government does not have your best interests in mind. The attacks on liberty come almost daily now.

Keep screaming “RIGHT WINGERS, RIGHT WINGERS” while the miscreants in Capitol Hill pull the rug right out from under your feet. Those right wingers you’re concerned about are akin to the Founding Fathers, they are “We The People.”

        • denniso

Crib…w/o a reasonably powerful fed gov’t you and I would be even more at the mercy of the international corporatocracy. Think about it…

          • J C

Wow! You really “just don’t get it”. The corporatocacy exists only “because” of the overly powerful Federal government. They are granted carte blanche by their buddies in Congree and the Senate.
It’s been going on almost sinse Hamilton. You really need to get your head around some objective history.

          • J C

            Congress…yes I can spell it ;)

          • denniso

J C….you need to read some real history of the time before we enacted anti trust and anti monoply laws a hundred or so yrs ago, to see what your vision really looks like…child labor, sweat shops,no safety laws, slave wages and 6 day work weeks…You and the other rightwingers refuse to learn from our history, maybe because you don’t read it or can’t comprehend it,so you want to keep repeating it over and over. We won’t let you do that…

          • JC

Sorry Kid…you’re still behind the curve.
You need to go back to Alexander Hamilton and his machinations of imperialism bordering on a monarchy style government. He brought in the first central bank and naturally he and his rich buddies used it as their personal slush fund. (Jackson abolished that bank but that’s irrelevant to my point) What you don’t get…what you just don’t understand…is that the circumstances that lead to poverty and sweat shops and alllll the other sad pictures you can paint, were occurring as a direct result of too damned much power concentrated in the hands of government and its rich buddies…a “monopoly” you might say.
And in your twisted rendition of history, you feel that “more” government somehow solved all of that? No way, it put a band aid on it. And now as a result of alllll this wonderful government intervention….the whole damned country is one big sweat shop.
Nice try though. Go ahead and keep rooting for BIG GOVERNMENT. They always have your best interests in mind…right denniso?

      • momof4

        Denniso,
We are a republic NOT a democracy.

      • http://atomicfans.com art hatch

A lot of valid points for sure but, this idea that its politics is wrong. It make no difference what party you believe in,,,they are all used by the same banking powers. When we were kids we knew that the guy with the mansion and all the stuff was in control of his world and we wanted to be like him,,,maybe. He could get what he wanted when he wanted it because of money. Later in life we realized this money principal worked for everything, the rich kids could always get out of trouble because they came from money and, later they could influence politicians and get the laws they wanted for business interests. Well we all know how concentrated world banking powers are and I must say we would be naive to assume that such ultimate wealth and power would maintain anything less than ultimate control but, on the bright side Im sure all those powerful pharmaceutical CEO’s that Barack met with will have a positive influence on him to do what is best for the USA. Or all the major financial institutions that backed him 3 to 1 over the republican candidate for the first time in decades. It was said by a very controversial figure once that ” you can not serve both God and money” Im pretty sure money is the god of this world,,,,,which god do you want and serve?

      • Carl

How stupid you are is shown well with what you wrote. You are just another idiot that was indeed indoctrinated in the indoctrination centers they call public schools. You learned nothing about the history of the world and thereby it will only repeat itself again. What a shame that you and the ilks of you want to be in control. You now have your Marxist leaders in place, obama, pelosi, reid, and all the chicago style henchmen and I see many more idiots posted after you. Be damn well certain America is the Greatest experiment that ever transpired in the history of the world. Remember you cannot and will not overthrow the Almighty God who gives us our Inalienable rights. Americans will not stand by for the overthrow of Our great Nation. Sad reality has it that so many of you deranged idiots are not Americans at all. Just because you may have been born on the soil of America is not good enough to classify one an American, American is a mindset and one damn well worth having. God has blessed America and now it is time for Americans and her inhabitants to honor Him. This is the most Blessed nation on earth and will always be if we will obey Him. Abortion is a huge scourge on this Nation and one cannot expect God’s blessings for that travesty.

Denniso the first comment you said wack jobs like timothy Mcviegh, first off he was a decorated veteran. Also the only reason why he “went off” is because his wife and 3 kids were murdered by the FBI at waco you gullable news suckling moron! maybe if you got off your stupid ass and searched for the real truth about things you wouldn’t be just another sheep in the flock of ignorance! All the bodies at waco were tansported to a unrefrigerated morge near the mexican border and left on stainless steel exam tables to rot for over a month before the families could claim them!this was done On purpose, so any physical trace of the horrors these poor people had to undure was undetectable. However when McViegh claimed his family and they scooped their remains into transport containers somehow one of the government cronies missed one of his kids when they did the bullet extractions and like marbles they fell out of the rotten corpse on the steel. Timothy wrote of this to everyone he knew pleading for help he paid for a private autopsy of the rest of his family which resulted in more obvious cover ups about the way they died. the bullets were223s while all the dividians had 7.62s, 223 is the cal. the feds use moron! Timothy was looking for anyone to help him avenge his families murder but because these people didn’t conform they were slaughtered here in our own country. So he took on the battle all by himself! Something I only pray does have to happen to the rest of us.

        • denniso

You sound like you’re out of your mind, dude…McVeigh DID NOT have a wife and 3 kids killed at Waco. Hard to believe there are idiots like you who actually defend a sicko incinerating little kids in their day care school, thinking they are starting a war against the feds. SICK…

          • denniso

Sicko Sam…OK,bozo, to refresh my memory I looked up evil McVeigh. He WAS NEVER MARRIED,LET ALONE HAD KIDS,AND HARDLY EVER EVEN HAD A GIRLFRIEND. SO, all you’re doing is lying through your teeth while trying to justify the murder of babies and kids…you should be freaking ashamed of your idiocy for making those stupid a*s comments that you or some other moron made up out of thin air…ridiculous!!!

          • denniso

Oh, I forgot…reading up on some of McVeigh’s stupid writings and spoutings, they sound very much like what the majority of the rightwing extremists on this site are spewing…the same old, mindless crap. Can’t you people do any better than to regurgitate what a mass murderer said??

          • STY

            well said

        • libertytrain

Sam – I’m not sure where you got your info on Timothy McVeigh – but he was never married – just a goofy guy with an idiotic mission to kill people – along with many little children. There’s nothing brave or heroic in that to me – Being pissed at the Government doesn’t give you permission to kill the innocents.

      • James Eagles

Sorry I did not notice one mention of Obama or Democrats in the article. He spoke of government, this govermnent includes both Democrats and Republicans, liberal and conservative, you need to get off your holier than thou soapbox and take a good look at what your government is doing on a daily basis to transform this country into a fascist state. It is happening right before your eyes, take off the liberal blinders and look around. Your dollar is not worth the paper it is printed on, internment camps are being constructed nationwide, more and more of your freedom is being taken from you. I am sick and tired of people like you who cannot see the forest for the trees and just keep drinking the kool aid your party feeds you. It’s all the Republicans fault, it’s all the republicans fault. Really? Both Obama and Mccain were Senators for the 8 yoears of Bush, what did they do about the mess he left us. Cant you see they are all to blame as is everyone who listened to all of them and bought into their BS.It is time to get rid of them all…

      • Hello?

Hello? Some people will not wake up until they shovel dirt in their faces. It is bad enough to be ignorant but even worse if you don’t have a clue.
These idiots in Washington think thay are smarter than all of us and their egotistocal attitude proves it. They think that they are quailified to know what is best for all of us. THEY THINK they are the only smart people that have ever been born. Some in this country are followers and some are leaders and it seems that most in this country are so relaxed and sorry that want someone else to make their decisions for them and make it all better and they will trust anyone and believe a lie just because they are too lazy or spoiled to make an effort to do for themselves or find out the truth. There is a Sunami coming in this country and most cannot see it. If you like slavery and Communism, then just keep supporting these conlrolling liberals.

      • GeorgeE

I think Sir or Mam, which ever you may be,should look with open mind and heart at the real and true history of this country and how we got to this sorry state we find ourselves in today.I suggest you do a search on the internet through GOOGLE,AOL, BitTourent or whatever search engine you like and look for any of the fowlling:
THE MONEY MASTERS or THE FALL OF THE REPUBLIC
They are well produced Video Movies that explaines in simple easy to understand English what has taken place behind the secens since just before 1900. I am not trying to sell you or anybody else anything including my thoughts or belifes. I just hope everyone will look for and watch these videos with a open mind and come to your own conclousion. It is all Real History. In short right after the Civil War there were a few Amendments to the Consitution to help those recently freed from Slavery or involuntary servitude to enforce each and every person has the right to Life,Liberty and the persuit of Happiness. About 1900 give or take a few years, the big companies like Standard Oil- the Steel cos.-Lumber Cos.and so on got together and formed the Oil Corps.-Steel Corps.-Lumber Corps. and so on. Before this period in history all companies had to have a charter to do buisness. Each Charter had to be renewed every five years or so. By forming Corpertions these Big Companies could aply to the Supreme Court and Declare they were Individule Persons by the meaning of Corperation. That being all officers of a said Company. IE: Pres.-Vice Pres.-General Mang.-Manger- and so on. Being granted first in N.J. and than Maryland it quickley spread across the country. Once able to side-step haveing to be chartered the could do business however they pleased. Being charted ment they had to show that they were good for the Country and it’s People. Not makeing things with our resources like minerals or Labor to use agienst the US or hinder it’s welfare.
In 1910 the heads of these big Corps. and some of the Richest men in the World held a Priviet Meeting on an Island off the Georgia Coast called Jeckel Island. the meeting last 3 weeks. Three years after it was over that same group talked the Fedreal Goverment to let them form The Fedreal Reserve and take over the Currancey of the US. The year was 1913 and that was the real start of the trouble for this country. I have gone long enough. Hopefully they will post this Reply. You never know who realy controls the websites. PS:I know my spelling stinks, so save your breath…!!

    • CaptVitto

Denniso…..By all that’s reasonable….Kindly get your head out of the sand and observe what’s going on…..If your blinders won’t allow you to see the truth…..Well then, stick your head back down….You make no sense at all….You are part of the problem……”Common sense is not common”….. Mark Twain

      • Rod James

CaptVitto, I’m not sure if Denniso’s head is in the sand or up his_ss
but I do agree with you and Bob. Bob is doing a great service to real Americans and not the Blind Sheeple like Denniso by providing a forum to try and open the eyes of the country to what is Really going on.
It may sound like violent talk but just as in the American Revoulution
action may have to be taken to get the country back for the 99% of its people. Right now at least many more people are finding out how they are being fed half or untruths in the media and realizing that political manipulations Have been used before (under fascism & dictatorship). Also this 1% club has the decendents of the same families that financed the original taking of the New World for England and just as then they will surly kill anyone who threatens their stangle hold on our economies.

        • denniso

This 1% controlling 99% is also factually wrong and ridiculous at the same time. If we count all the people who work for the various governments(city, county, state, feds) in the country, there are a lot more than 1% of the population. Is the guy/gal plowing your highways in the middle of a blizzard part of the 1% because they work for the county? How about the city workers digging ditches to fix a sewage pipe so you can conveniently flush your toilet every day?? Are they part of the evil, controlling 1%???

          • J C

That’s a ridiculous question. It misses the entire point of the article and postings.

          • denniso

J C…you must not have read the article. Livingston is railing against ‘the government’ controlling ‘the people’. The gov’t is made up of workers and legislators, who do indeed work for the gov’t. This demonizing of all things government is simplistic and idiotic.

          • JC

You’re entitled to your opinion. I rail against government in a general way because there is simply too much of it. Far, far too many dependants. Far far too much power concentrated in the hands of too few people. It’s a parasite and its killing us. Don’t forget denniso,
it wasn’t government that made America great, it was people. The downhil slide we are on…well “that” was created by government.
            It’s what they do best.

          • denniso

There’s nothing wrong w/ debating the most efficient size and role of all gov’t's in our society. What’s wrong is for the right wing to blame all gov’t for all the problems we have..wrong and simplistic.
I wonder if you don’t think that our fed gov’t had a major role in defeating Hitler? Didn’t the gov’t mobilize the people and nationalize industries and ration goods in the giant effort to fight the greatest evil of our time?? Wasn’t it Roosevelt(liberal that he was) who led the effort? W/o a large enough fed gov’t could we have stopped Nazism?? Could loosely organized and weak states have done it?
            Don’t think so…

      • One of the sheep

        Capt Vito,
Well said, and in a few words. Dennisonites are the scariest of all creatures in the world. If only they would go live in the countries they admire so much. the majority of the world is made of their kind of government, and life style. Why do they suffer to help all of us live by their standards. Truely, liberalism is a mental illness.

        • Jimmy G

For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

        • denniso

I just wonder where all this hate and talk of violence was during the 8 yrs of Cheny/Bush…secret surveilance on Americans, 2 unfinished wars, billions of tax dollars wasted by price gouging American suppliers in the wars,a couple of trillion $$ added to our national debt,9/11 ocurring under Bush, the economic collapse starting under Bush,5,000+ American kids slaughtered under Bush w/ another 80,000 maimed, and still more neglect of the country under the 2 clowns.

Did you rightwingers just wake up from a long sleep,or is it that you were just blindly loyal to your ‘conservative’ party, and now you get the chance to try to destroy a Dem president?
The blatant hypocrisy of the right screaming that the sky is now following after 8 yrs of the worst administration in our history, is nothing but idiotic. If you fools want to continue blathering like this w/ no actual substance, well, at least we get a good laugh from it,though it sure makes most of you look like high school dropouts…sad…

          • JeffH

The crosshairs are on YOU! ha ha ha

          • Cribster

You assume a lot. In your mind I would be considered a “right winger,” I couldn’t stand Bush! When can we stop talking about Bush?
Obama and his administration full of freaks are a wrecking crew, the amount of damage they have done in one year is astounding, much of it irreparable. They are wreaking havoc today! Bush-is-not-in-office. If you can manage to get over your “Bush Derangement Syndrome” the truth will be much more evident.

From reading your postings it sounds like you are regurgitating talking points rather than thinking for yourself. Take the blinders off.

          • J C

Denniso, you do have a point. I think you know I’m not an advocate for either of the major socialist parties. I’m a Libertarian who believes very much in the Constitution and American values. (Two things you know little or nothing about it would seem.) But you’re right, Bush should have been impeached for spying on us in our homes.
They’re all working for the same puppeteers whether they wear a red tie or a blue tie.

          • denniso

Crib…we can stop talking about Cheny/Bush when rightwingers quit blaming Obama and the Dems for the mess we’re in, and when the Repubs start joining the effort to dig the country out of the ditch and stop actively trying to demolish the country even more.

J C…I’m glad you agree on the damage Bush did to the country, but you’re very wrong on my view and feelings for the constitution…and, just what are ‘American values’?? Are they what most humans live by?
Work, family, country, clean environment, peace rather than war, helping our neighbors???

          • J C

denniso, my idea of American Values is simple. Morality. Now one has to give that word some serious thought in order to see where it does and doesn’t apply to our present system. Let’s say I were to go door to door soliciting money to “organize and improve” the neighborhood and every time I approach someone’s door I tell them that everyone else I spoke with agrees and everyone else gave me money so they should too, so they do…then I spend some of that money to say, have the garbage hauled away, but mostly I keep the money and suggest that I didn’t get enough to do a good job so I need more. Is that moral?
What if the next time I came around my request had the force of law behind it…and the implied violence that comes with enforcing that law…has it become moral yet? Probably not. What I have actually accomplished is legalized fraud.
That’s one example and it’s a little abstract, but perhaps you get the drift.
Our system of taxation is immoral. I believe user fees should be in place to support infrastructure (ie: on fuel, luxury items) and some damned good accounting to go with it. Leave people’s paychecks alone and they will create an economy that government control couldn’t even touch.

          • T. Moore

I would argue that most people within this forum (including myself) are not cheerleaders for the Bush-Cheney 8 year reign of unconstitutionally driven war and loss or rights at home.

So what’s your answer to America’s gradually imploding economic front? Do you feel that the accelerated drive of hyper-Keynesian stimulus and banker bailout is the way to go? One responder stated that the national debt is now over $13 trillion, when in fact I think it is now about $14.1 trillion? Do these staggering numbers concern you? And if they do (as they should!), what do you propose be done to reverse this trend toward greater and greater trillions of dollars of public debt? Do you feel that the fiat money system has had anything to do with our roughly 14 trillion dollar national debt? Why or why not?

    • George Manning

      Bob—

You do a service by providing blog space; I second your comment Time.

Could we get something startedby listing three acts of oppression that are effecting Americans? We all have feelings about our gradual loss of freedom under growing governmental controls. Anyone wishing to pitch in please add your thoughts. I’ll list three and leave the rest to you all:

      1) Americans are losing their pensions to the trickery of BIG CORPORATE AMERICA SELL-OUTS, BAIL-OUTS, and other forms of thievery.

      2) OUR GOVERNMENT HAS ROBBED THE KITTY when loans were taken from SOCIAL SECURITY, never to be returned. The young will keep paying the old until the KITTY runs dry all-to-gether. The younger will not see a penny of their contributions by 2017 as reported by The Heritage Foundation and others.

      3) Our quest for better health insurance distribution has been handed to a congress that is so political that its members cannot get it straight. Why can’t a large think tank made up of many specialists and some lay people like you and me, get this problem behind us after we place a finished product before the American people for further discussion in smaller groups that will add, comment and contribute to a final resolution to be passed by Congress. Beware the legislator that votes against OUR FINAL DOCUMENT.

Lastly, I sent these comments to the RNC, mind you I look for balance out of this hodge-podge 2700 page push to get a health care bill:

      Republican Committee:

You have two votes in this house plus the rest of my family to count on as opponents to this one-sided, and dangerous health care plan. We know that this is one more way to make the American people subjects of total government control for all the, behind the scenes, planning to further place our Nation, not under Socialism, but Webster Dictionary defined Fascism–make no mistake about this.

BIG GOVERNMENT + BIG BUSINESS WORKING TOGETHER TO ACHIEVE COMMON GOALS
WHILE SUPPRESSING PRIVATE SECTOR ENTREPRENEURIALISM, AND GROSS NATIONAL CAPITAL GROWTH IS FASCISM.

I am an independent. I vote my mind. I see this heart tug on our
American people as a sham; entirely insincere, and without concern for the real GOAL that can bring health care to the Public; both fair and square.

I believe that any politician that backs the “OBAMA CARE” plan to save our Nation through this strategy, will not be re-elected, nor will the Public listen to the Washington of today. Resistance will grow, and I will be part of that resistance.

I have backed the Republican Party, NOT ALWAYS, throughout the 90′s. This Country can not progress with a Third Party–that is just wishful
thinking. Again, we the people must choose sides—what is right, and
what is wrong. I hope that the majority of our people will recognize, in their gut, the right side, not a party vote but a right decision.

Thanks for the opportunity to express myself to all that will listen.

      Regards,

        • libertytrain

George – spell check doesn’t usually check for the wrong word usage, just correct spelling.

        • Hello?

Well, I guess that correct spelling or mistakes on a stupid comment makes all the difference, that is the trouble with this ignorant society, we worry about the insignificant things. Strain at a knat and swollow a Camel.

          • NitPicker

The intended meaning in some of these is lost through poor typing, poor spelling and poor grammar.

Our schools and present Education are also a problem.

  • J C

Interesting you should quote Goebbels. Here’s another one from another famous Nazi (national socialist)

“Naturally the common people don’t want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

Add just a dash of Marxism:

    5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.

(Americans call it the Federal Reserve which is a privately-owned credit/debt system allowed by the Federal Reserve act of 1913. All local banks are members of the Fed system, and are regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) another privately-owned corporation. The Federal Reserve Banks issue Fiat Paper Money and practice economically destructive fractional reserve banking.)

And Voila! The recipe for a grand disaster.
I’m pretty sure that America wasn’t founded on these principles.
Time to take our country back boys and girls…
We’ll need to do some radically different voting than we’ve done in the past.

    • J C

Ooops! The qoute I added was from Herman Goerring, founder of the Gestapo.

JC – you have it spot on. The local populace is generally the same all over the world… it’s the swines in power that you have to watch like hawks!!

I used to believe that the USA was the ONE country in the world where history WOULD NOT repeat itself, but how naive was I?

We are headed from freedom to oppression. The worst is, Americans ARE blind to what’s happening around them.

        • JC

Yes we are blind to it.
I should mention where I placed the “5″ above…that’s the 5th plank of the communist manifesto. And apparently of the US also.

        • Mary

And we haven’t see nothing yet. BHO is acting like Hugo Chavez. Remember who he sided when the Hondurian people defended their weak democracy. He and Hillary showed their real colors. He is a mega maniac WANNA BE DICTADOR.

    • TexasLea123

You have it Precisely Right, JC! I have been saying the same thing about the Fed.Reserve. Thank You for putting it in print here.
This current administration [which I like to refer to as The Idiot Court] is Piece by Corrupt Piece, Dismantling And Re-writing our Constitution for Their Own Evil Purposes. And frankly… I Am Sick Of It! They Are Continuing To Thumb Their Noses @ Us,The American People And Our Constitution! They Must Be Stopped. Vote Them All OUT!

We Must Take Back Our Country and Do It Now, as time Is Crucial. I don’t care what side you’re on[as far as Dem. or Repub.] I Only care that we, as Americans Don’t Sit Idly By and Allow, what I see as Socialism/Communism/Totalitarianism, to happen. Not In This Great Country!

      • Harold Olsen

Yes, it’s time for another American Revolution. Hopefully a peaceful one, but the way things are going I fear 1776 may be revisited. Their slogan back then was “No taxation without representation.” That is pretty much what we have today.

  • Chris Botha

This scenario is busy playing itself out in many of the European countries today as we speak . Due to the internet people became more aware of these evils as people like yourselves and other clear, open and right minded people started opening up the can of worms .Please keep up the good work and truth that you bring to the general public that was before living in the dark ages.

    • Harold Olsen

Yes, because of the Internet we can communicate globally and information gets passed around. That’s why dictatorships try to control the Internet in order to suppress and censor information. Even Obama is now trying to do that. He has stated several times that he wants to control the Internet and is trying to get legislation passed so that in an “emergency” he can shut down certain websites. Of course, he would decide what constitutes an emergency, such as opposing and criticizing his policies, and most likely it would be conservative websites such as this one that he would feel a necessity to shut down

  • http://www.breakingnewsjournal.net&www.popham08.com Popham

    On target—yes.
Now, what pray tell, do we do to combat this “psychological warfare”
that so few of us are so easily able to recognize?
How do we ‘educate’ the American people on the subterfuge and
propagandizing going on all day long? Indeed, do we take to the
streets? Is the government actually “betting” that the police and
military will not ultimately side with the people?
Do we organize a 21st Century American Revolution or wait
until Nov. 2nd and show all politicians that we mean business?
Kindly answer these questions at your convenience.
I’ll be watching for your posted comments.
    Thank you.

    • Robert

I say we do both. The Revolution has begun in the form of Tea Parties and such as The 912 Coalition. I for one can hardly wait for election day.

      • Swansong

You HAVE TO go back to the guiding principles of the Constitution.

        That means addressing:
        * Freeing the economy
        * The existence of the Fed
        * Placing the USD BACK on the Gold Standard
        * The unconstitutional behavior & precedents set by the Courts
        * The unconstitutional behavior of the Federal Government
        * Encouraging private vs public schooling (YES, THAT MEANS VOUCHERS!)
        * Limiting State & taxes based on the growth of the economy
        * Turn the IRS on the government!

        I don’t know – that’s for starters?

Looking at this list, it’ll probably only be after the country collapses that people have the “aHAH!” moment and take any one of these seriously!

        • TexasLea123

I “think” the Youth of today, are in a Glass Bubble. After all, they are Party responsible for Voting this clown into office, as They thought it would be “Cool” to have a “Black man” in the WH.[BTW: He's Bi-Racial. They just thought it was COOl that he had a Blackberry, he used the Internet, went on YOUTUBE and Jogged up or down the steps, like he’s so cool, ‘ya know? What A Bunch Of Fools. I bet, if Britney Spears ran for office, she’d Win, ’cause [said in Classic Valley Girl Voice]She’s,Like, So Cool, ‘ya know? The Youth of today, has No Clue as to What The Hel* is Really Going On Here. They are too Self Absorbed and too concerned with “Instant Gratification”,Red Bull, Texting and other BS fixations. Too much excess and access, as I say. And these are our Leaders of tomorrow! God Help Us All!

Clarice Feldman of American Thinker produced a dispositive commentary showing that Obama is failing because “fundamentally he is neither smart nor articulate; his intellectual dishonesty is conspicuous by its audacity and lack of shame”

          • Harold Olsen

What do you expect with the quality of education in our schools these days? The textbooks are written, published and selected by people with a progressive agenda. I understand that the new textbooks that are coming out will ignore our history prior to the Harding administration. That means, little, if anything, will be taught about our founding fathers and the creation of this country. And isn’t that when the Progressive movement in this country began?

          • J C

Hey Phil, George W. Bush is from Connecticutt. And don’t worry, Obama will have us all living in a cave soon enough. All he has to do is keep “stimulating” the economy. Only a moron could believe that fiat money (counterfeit) out of thin air could do anything other than ruin us all.

        • Harold Olsen

I agree. Unfortunately, the Democrat politicians seem to consider the U. S. Constitution to be an illegal document, unless they can find something in it that they can twist to help further their agenda. The problem is, many Republican politicians seem to have the same attitude because most, if not all, are left-leaning moderates.

      Popham,
I can say this, try and stay informed as best as you can, always ask hard questions of any politician who is running for office.
Not what the press makes you think are the questions you need answers too.
Like when will the IRS be disbannded? Where is the law that even allows them to exist and take money from you the hard working American?
Just for the record there is no law, so anyone that answers that there is; you know what they are that fast.

Ask when will the Patriot act be repealed?
Ask when will the FED be audited?
Ask when will the DEA be disbanded?
When will congress ask the people if they can have a raise?
When will congress and the senate balance the budget?
When will congress stop writting laws that remove your FREEDOMS?
When will the DC belt way remove all lobbyist?
When will the Justice Dept be disbannded?
When will the fereral Government get out of states rights?
When will media owners be tried for TREASON?
When will media new faces face the same?
When will any and all members of both houses as well former Presidents and others be tried for treason?

Don’t just think that if they say they are a Republican or Democrat that they hold the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights as the Rule of Law of the Land.
Look at this progressive movement its been inch by inch for so long that politicians in both partys are in that loop.

Don’t take anyones word for anything, “look at the work product.”

Hold them 100% accountable for everything. The DC Belt Way seems to change people, once they figure out the easy money can be all theirs if they just follow along with the pack, most will do just that.

Stop buying products from DOLE, Dupont, COKE, Pepsi, Star kissed Tuna and or any others that are seen on ABC, CBS, NBC, MSN, MSNBC, HLN.
The one thing these people don’t want is loss of money, and they controll 80% of the wealth in this country, thus they controll the politicians too.

Most importantly, when will the Department of Education be abolished? The Federal Government has absolutely no business being involved in the education of our kids. Our Founders would have crapped if they knew we let the Feds get involved with the education of our children. Talk about the Fox watching the Hens.

Folks, We have a Constitution as well a Bill of Rights,
let me try and state what it all boils down to in
        just a few words.

        FREEDOM to express ones self,
Freedom to come and go as you please.
Freedom to wear dumb looking things.
Freedom to act like a nut case.
Freedom to eat what you like.
        Freedom to walk not run.
Freedon to own a gun if you so wish.
Freedom to make a living with out the Government
        taking it away.

Freedom is a special thing, so treat everyone like
you would like to be treated, oddly FREEDOM works.

When you have laws that build on laws that restrict your FREEDOM,
for your alledged safety due to a group of persons who wants to
impose the ideas that they feel are what you need.
Then the slippery slop has been started.
Or as its now known the “VAST GRAY Area” of law.

Time, DaveH, I also agree – violence not good. However, every email to the critters should end with this quote:

          “This time we come unarmed.”

Political elite arrogance can only be shaken with a constant reminder of their own mortality. Their continued (decades long) deafness is no longer an option – and will NOT be tolerated.

        DaveH,
I do agree. But what are you going to do when they come for your gun’s ? for whatever reason they chose to use. Remember what they did in New Orleans they > ( the military took the PEOPLE’S GUN’S by force ) for whatever reason. The people there had NO way to DEFEND themselves after that. By the way they have never given them there fire arms back. Obama WILL come after the only thing that keeps us free and stops them from taking total control OUR GUN’S.

Popham – There’s very little anyone can do until Party loyalties are set aside and tunnel vision is widened. We need to concentrate on the best person for the position and that right now is almost impossible of a task to do. So many party line jumpers, wolves in sheep clothing. Gotta follow the money and the votes but that gives them a head start on the voters and even then our votes may be taken away from us like in 2000 when the Supreme Court picked the person the money and they wanted us to have. New form of American Democracy but not what I grew up with.

This brings to the forefront the obvious questions for Congressional and Senate candidates and our next candidate for the presidency; Will you work to repeal the Federal Reserve Act and draft legislation to re-establish a national currency based on Gold and Silver (and other precious metals). If they fail to answer in the affirmative, dismiss them as a viable candidate.

Sadly, STEVEN, it would take more than all the gold in the world to pay off our debt, or put another way, gold would have to be in excess of $8,000 an ounce before what we may have in Ft. Knox would equal our debt. I do not believe anything can prevent the collapse of the dollar (or any other currency) without extreme ‘tightening of the belt.’ The 111th Congress seems to have no interest in this so and continue to spend like the money was real. If we can replace them in November we may be able to slow this train down before it crashes at the bottom of the mountain, but crash it will. As it is the train seems to have lost it’s brakes and is picking up speed. Some believe we have less than three years. I really don’t know how long we have left so vote intelligently in November and perhaps a nice, polite letter to you representatives home address telling him of your concern and how you intend to vote will have some value. One radical left group has already influenced over 1.3 million of it’s mostly student members to write their representatives and demand government run health care, and the manadatory purchase of insurance, and government funded abortion, and the rationing of health care that this will all result in within a decade. Did you know that even Russian think tanks believe the USA will break up into separate countries after the collapse of the dollar? I hope not but it is going to be a very different world before this decade is over. Houses will be cheaper but food will be quite expensive, along with anything imported. It is my opinion that only about 15% of what is going to happen in this disaster has happened. Learn to think like a 19th Century pioneer. Become as self-reliant as possible. Pray for guidance if you are fortunate enough to be a believer. Get out of debt and get out of the cities. Remember you can’t eat gold but you can buy non-perishable foods that will hold their nutrition until inflation alone will pay for them. Some are freeze dried and stored in nitrogen and good for over a quarter of a century. Congress and the Bush/Obama team have spent so much that 200% inflation is assured. And keep out of LACALIF until after the ‘big one’ which has a very high proability of happening between now and the middle of Sept. Ignore all this at your own peril. May God bless you.

As we all know, a large number of people voted into the presidency
an avowed Marxist Mr BHO II.I believe the tipping point of these voters were illegally identified by the Marxist groups getting Mr. BHO II elected. We now also have a Marxist house and senate. Theoretically, the Marxist coup should be complete. We who belive in a Constitutional Republic must act.

    Dear Mr. Livingston,

You forgot the education system. There was already an impetus towards the teaching of state-worship when the schools were still pretty thoroughly in control of the local school boards. It is just an inevitable result of government control.

However, that now seems like “the good old days.” Two things happened:

First, a big philosophical change that occurred in the 1960s. When I was a kid, the public education system was dominated by a broad Calvinist religious consensus: viz. Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists. Thus the ideological environment teneded towards “Protestant work ethic” and a vaguely “Progressive” democratism. While conservatives and libertarians could approve of some of the conservatising effects of the broad Protestantism and the fact that the 1910s Progressivism still gave some homage to the rule of law and some sort of personal liberty, there were problems. But parents could successfully contradict what their children were endocrinated with in school if needs be. Also, Catholics and Lutherans had alternative education systems. Starting around 1960 as the older teachers who began their carreers 1920-1940 started retiring in large numbers and as the mainstream religions came to be taken over by more consistent leftists, the philosophy of the school system changed Herbartian and Dewian ideas that had dominated American education since around 1900 to more consistently leftist ones, especially the sort of touchy-feely leftism of, for example, Carl Rogers. (In the Catholic schools Pierre Teilhard de Chardin—but that’s another issue) This must be made clear, the change was not Marxian even though representing and allied with the so-called New Left. Thus the impetus towards teaching state-worship in the public schools was given a big boost simply by the changes in ideology in the Universities’ schools of education—not just public ones but ones controlled by the mainstream churches.

Second, the Soviet Union having beat the U.S. in getting up the first artificial satellite in 1958 was used as an excuse for a massive expansion of the Federal role in education. Allegedly, the purpose was to improve U.S. students performance in math and science. As we have seen, as Federal involvement in education has increased, performance in those areas has declined. Federal control is exercised through grants which often such local school boards into beginning Federally conceived programs. Once the program is in place, it is hard for the local school board to get rid of it, even if the Federal funding is eliminated.

There needs to be a movement towards separating the schools from government just like the press and the churches. There is a need to even re-examine the precedents for Public Education: specifically The Massachusetts General Education Act of 1647 and Thomas Jefferson’s Virginia Bill for the More General Diffusion of Knowledge. The principles they contained may have been dubious even on their own terms.

    Best wishes.

    Sincerely,

    Gary J. Mallast

    • George E.

      Gary,

Thanks for that thought provoking post. I definitely agree that our school system would on average be better if it were distanced from government control, especially federal government control. Federal control and unionization has increased costs and dumbed down the system, in my opinion.

Very good article. Not sure what we can do about it at this point, other than quit responding to the the panic allerts. Never was a client for the mass vaccination. Recognized that as deception. Also, not a candidate for the high price of healthcare. Prevention is the only good answer. Current health industry is out of control, but I am not in favor of nationalized healthcare. I am in favor of the public educating themselves on medical decisions, and letting supply and demand bring healthcare cost back into line. The day is over that you can take everything that comes down from the medical industry as gospel. Their information is nothing more than manipulation for profit. Just study the thinking on eggs, cholesterol, heart disease causes, etc. to prove my point. Things that were the answer, are now the cause, and visa versa. The public needs to read more, and make decisions a lot slower.

  • Joyce Bygall

Steven G. Poyzer is absolutely correct! We must ELECT candidates that will vote to take the power away from the private bankers/Federal Reserve etc. It will be hard to do as somehow ALL who have tried end with their demise. {Andrew Jackson survived because both the guns of his assassinator misfired. We need to pray for the protection of Dr. Ron Paul as he is rallying congress to try and audit the fed[at least a first step, I think]. Sometimes it is hard to know motives, but he has 324 cosigners on the bill. The New World Order gang can’t eliminate all of them I hope. We must tell everyone to view the excellent documentary on You Tube – “The Money Masters” It is phenominal and will educate anyone who views it! This is so important!! We must take our country back – time is running out!

Great article! As I said in my last post, it’s only about 1% of the richest people in the world that Lucifer appeals to, those who tend also to be intellectuals! All is vanity, you know. Not to mention, that there is a fine line between an idiot and genius, isn’t there? And, don’t forget to thank our government-run progressive(Satan- run)school system, either! It’s not just the mail office that the government has corrupted, you know. They have corrupted the entire American Society!
Only a revolution can stop this, and they would get slaughtered by the Commander-In-Chief Obama! Believe me, there are a lot more deceived people following Satan than the Hebrew “Yahweh!” PS: The bible says that “Hebrew” is the only inspired language and it’s coming back(Zeph. 3:9) and that Yahweh spoke Hebrew (Acts 26:14), Baal (means Lord in Hebrew)worship(Jer. 2:8)and it is forbidden; that the Hebrew Father is Yahweh and the son, coming in the father’s name, Yahshua(Hebrew means “Yahweh is Salvation!”)is our savior! Don’t be deceived by Lucifer, the one coming in his own name! If interested go to the following web site: info@icyahweh.org.

Vote in extremely conservative constitutional politicians that don’t believe in the nanny state or spending, especially on entitlement programs.
Take most of your money out of the bank.
    Stop using credit cards.
If you have large debts go banrupt.
If you make less than 5 million dollars a year, buy silver and gold.
Stop going to college, your degree won’t mean anything in the near future anyway. Use the money to buy Silver and gold.

Buy a firearm for hunting, a 22LR caliber is fine.

Bob, you just perfectly described South Africa. (I grew up there)

HOW ELSE could the 1% have controlled so many people – of all races – for over 50 years? I suspect “Black South Africa” could have brought down the government in a month thru peaceful protest and boycott…

Ask yourself why they did not. It’s pretty scary.

How did the Nationalists do it?: Control of the media, courts, police, army, voting and banks.

Now look at the US today… how loud can you yell “BINGO”?

    • NitPicker

The Supreme Court gave us George W. and Cheney. How scared were we?

  • George E.

It’s sobering to think this could happen. However, it’s also instructive to know that it can happen, and how it works. This just reinforces the idea that citizens need to think independently, seek out truth where ever it is, and guard against getting caught up in “herd mentality.” It also leads me to think how important it is for citizens to be active in selecting representatives and setting the political agenda in party primaries before the rich and powerful get control of the process, and how important it is to stay engaged after the elections. Our collective voice and vote is the only thing we have to effectively compete with those who would seek to take control of our government.

In 2011 Bushs tax cuts will expire and those in the top 2 % can pay their Share for a change and take part of the burden off the backs of the middleclass ….

    • George E.

      Phil,

I don’t believe tax increases on anyone, but especially the wealthy, will help the economy or middle-class folks. I believe all you’ll do by increasing tax rates is 1) encourage more wasteful spending by Congress, and 2) take money out of the productive sector of our economy that might otherwise have been used to create wealth and jobs for the country. The middle-class will get nothing from these tax rate increases, but instead will pay more indirectly.

      • Phil

The productive sector as you call them has sucked the life out of our economy… You nay incision some utopian sociaty when nobody has to pay taxes but that is never going to happen.. It’s time you faced reality… Now, are you saying those multi billionairs are the productive ones and that middleclass are the ones sucking the life out of our country?… It’s just amazes me that you’d defend you paying taxes instead of them… And I do believe the economy did just fine in the 90,s when they paid their share….you still want to enable this same people that have their thumb on your back….you should do some research and see how much the top 2 % have prospered during the last decade…. It’s more about commonsense… It can’t keep up like this…

        • George E.

          Phil,

I’m not suggesting that the middle-class is sucking the life out of our economy. I mean no disrespect to the middle-class. Heck, I’m one of them. All I’m trying to say is that wealthy people got that way because they know how to take a buck and multiply it into many bucks. If they do this legally, which I believe most do, they create wealth by giving their customers more value for each dollar they spend, and that in turns creates businesses and jobs. They already pay the majority of the income taxes because our tax system is “progressive.” If we make them pay more taxes, they’ll just have less money to invest to create those businesses and jobs which middle-class people benefit from.

Finally, I’m not suggesting that the middle-class pay more taxes either, although I do think a flatter income tax would be better for the economy and our culture, overall, but let’s save that discussion for another time. It’s my opinion that the economy is overtaxed, so tax “rate” reductions would actually stimulate growth and job creation. This has occurred each time it has been tried by past administrations. The federal deficit should be addressed with spending discipline, not increased tax rates or increased borrowing.
Otherwise, the economy is burdened with overhead and won’t grow as quickly, and folks won’t benefit as much.

    • blackhat

Phil go work for all those “poor” people that do not have to pay taxes…I am sure they have plenty of jobs available…

    • DaveH

      Phil,
Please take your head out of the sand. You seem like an intelligent guy. Do some real research. Quit being led by the nose by the MSM.
The top 1% of wage earners already pay 40% of the total income taxes. How much more do you think is their “fair share”? And the bottom 50% of wage earners only pay 3% of the total income taxes.
Do those top 1% get more government protection? I doubt it. In fact, I would bet that they get much less than the bottom 50%.
How would you like it if before you could buy groceries you had to submit an income declaration, and your subsequent grocery prices were based on your income? I know there are those Liberals who would say that is a ridiculous example, but is it?
Those “Rich” that the government is soaking are the ones who provide the real knowledge and work that it takes to run a good economy. The Government officials that take their money generally waste it and stifle productivity. Point that finger of yours at the real Culprits – Big Government.

Exactly what is the middle class? Does it even exist anymore? I make around twenty-four thousand a year. Is that middle class? Every time the idiot politicians raise taxes they say it will only be the wealthy whose taxes will go up. But mine go up as well. But then, during the Clinton years it was established that the wealthy were defined as anyone who has a job and pays taxes. One Democrat defined it even closer when he said that the wealthy was anyone making twenty thousand or more a year. The poor are anyone who does not pay taxes. Therefore, there must not be a middle class anymore.

      • NitPicker

Wasn’t their purpose, beginning with Globalization and Down-sizing, to destroy our beautiful Middle Class?

        • NitPicker

NAFTA, too. Soon we will live like “them” instead of them being raised up.

  • Mitch

The problem is, it’s too late. They are too entrenched, too powerful, and too many. Of course you have to start somewhere, but if enough disregard the propaganda, then a real emergency will be provided for you. Everybody has to live. We have to work, and we have to eat.
Winperk is on the right track…get prepared as much as you can. Guns, food, gas, and the rest needed to survive???? They have all of their bases covered my friends. All that is needed now is a little more time, then a trigger to set it all off. I wouldn’t disregard all of the ‘coming emergencies’ as false. Watch them closely. There will be a trigger whether it be financial, military, terrorist attack..the legislation has and is being put into place. Total control of the Net, TV, Radio, all of it. They are ‘creepers’. They have been creeping for a long time now. When they get to where they are going, they’ll stop creeping and stand up, foot raised, ready to squash you like a bug. What the hell, maybe it is time for it to all go away. Freedom will prevail in the end I believe, but we probably won’t be around that long to see the new beginning. Just keep plugging away. Pay down your debt, move out of the city if possible, gold and silver are good ideas, stock food, develop relationships with your neighbors (you may need them), set up a plan to come together in an emergency by combining your resources…no matter what and how it all comes down, those are all smart things to be doing anyway. And if we are lucky enough to have a meteor hit the Capitol and they all get taken out in one fall swoop, you are not any worse off, except maybe alot of extra cans of spam in your pantry.
Right now, we are all part of the system, so you have to use it to get prepared. People don’t like the idea of losing everything they have. Is it any wonder. I don’t think it’s a majority that are bamboozled, but rather, they just want to live and be free and go on hoping it all comes out ok. When their bubble bursts…then there will be large enough numbers to make the real changes that need to be made. Their bubbles are pissing air, and deflating right now. The masses are becoming pissed, but they still want the way of life we were all promised. Don’t lose faith. The only ones left standing will be those that had the nuts to look at the worst that could happen, those that have refused to peek around the corner will be in real trouble.

    • DaveH

Start communicating with your State Legislators (as opposed to Federal Legislators) about your feelings of Federal Government taking Unconstitutional Power. It may come to the point where we need to quit playing the rigged game. If the Conservative States would get together, we could stop this UnConstitutional Federal Government.

      • Harold Olsen

Good idea. Unfortunately, I live in ultra-liberal Washington State. Our idiot governor and state lawmakers are emulating the Obama regime and our two houses of Congress and pretty much telling us to go to hell. We passed a law here in Washington State recently, I-960-restricting how much our taxes can be raised. Guess what, they suspended it. They chose to ignore the will of the people. And when we expressed our anger, they reported us to the Washington State Patrol, claiming we were threatening them. The WSP said nothing we said was illegal or threatening but they are going to investigate us anyway.

That is exactly what they want you to believe!!!
Most of the country is center to right, they do not want socialism or any of that crap they are dishing out, WE WILL STAND TOGETHER!There’s 535 of them in the house, Theres 300 plus million people in the country and you say there is to many of them, they have to much power ? hmmmmm, We the people, are the POWER and they know it, they just don’t want you to know it, They want you to believe that they know whats best for America.Well they are wrong.

      • JeffH

        2nd that!

  • R. Seag

    You people are wacko!

Thank God there’s an internet so you can rant yourselves into a frenzy here instead of in public!

      Thanks for visiting with us.

      R. Seag, Are you sure its not you? Just a thought.

    • DaveH

Wow, a Liberal attacks us personally. How Unusual.

Back to Class, Seag, recess is over.

    • JC

Just remember, the only consistent thing in all of your observations…is you! ;)

    • G. Obert

Stand in line oh little sheep!! Be fed by the govt farmer, he will provide you safety security and food. But be aware my little lamb, the day of slaughter is very close at hand, will you stand by and watch while your fellow sheep is slaughtered only to agree to your own demise?

    • Jack Lovett

Fact is its probably more acurate to say that 1/10 of 1% control the sheep.

    • dcb

None are so blind as those who will not see!

You must be a banker, afraid that your scam will be exposed. Find a copy of “The Money Masters” video and get educated, or if you need “genuine” info. go to the Congressional record and read Congressman Louis T. McFadden’s speech on the Federal Reserve.

    • UB

      R. Seag you must be looking in a mirror, how’s the view?

    • http://personalliberty.com Pearlene Norris

If you are asking a question; make sure you are using facts unless you seeking to distort the results? Nothing is 1 to 99 in this situation. Would’nt it be more like 49 to 51?

  • http://bwmelton@atmc.net B Wayne Melton

The above comments are very to the point. Unfortionately, they do not laddress lthe cause of out problems and the order in which they should be attended to. Number one-get all the illegals out of the country, number two-vote all the Liberals out of office (local and national), number three-get all the lifetimer welfare cheats off the system, number four don’t elect attorneys to office (leave them in the legal departments), number four-make our representatives live to the Constitution, number five-get us back into manufacturing (the last time the world respected us is when we were the manufacturing center of world). After all this is done, then we can run a country as is should be run.

    • NitPicker

One statement that stands out from one of my U.S. History classes: “Strength is based on Productivity.”

  • Jim G

The 1% mentioned in this publication is correct but much of the rest is misguided and creates fear, much like Mr. Livingston accuses the government of doing.

Being well informed and challenging your representative is essential. If they have been in office for multiple terms one can be assured they have had to raise money to get reelected or special interests have found your representation uncooperative and helped unseat him or her.

Money and lobbyist factor into most legislation and that usually is not in the public interest and that is true in both parties. Special interests also control the appointed and elected representative in the courts. Has the ship already sailed?

The position that everything the government does is designed to control the population is not factually based but instead is playing on irrational fear.

    • Time

      Jim,
For the record can you point out any case laws that would sustain your point?

Fear, Hell yes the people of this country should be very afraid, we don’t have leaders we have “CON ARTIST and Mobsters” who are running this country. Look up the histroy of Argentina start in 1916 that follow all the same programs we have now from FDR and what Barry’s wants to bring into law.
If your not in FEAR after that then your not alive.

      • usmadgirl

        Time,

You have a big “Amen” from me!

    • Norm

      Jim G
Agreed. The real danger is from these kooks screaming “revolution” and “impeachment”. If you dislike the government, in a democracy, you have a vote like everyone else.

      • JeffH

Normy, that vote has started already!

      • DaveH

No, the real danger is from the uninformed sheeple.
Especially dangerous are the ones who offer very few facts in their comments and lots of personal attacks. I would bet that most of those are somehow feeding from the trough (Government employees, welfare recipients, etc.).
There is no excuse in this age of the Internet not to become aware of reality.

        • DaveH

It is amazing how many people think stealing the money of others is Okay as long as there is a majority consensus. Somehow there is a certain threshold of the gang size that magically transforms theft to charity:

This country IS NOT a democracy. It is a Constitutional Republic.

        • George E.

          Thank you.

      • J C

Democracy simply does not work, voting has become a total waste of time, and it will change nothing. Unfortunately right now it is the only option we have short of a rather large White House BBQ.
I don’t advocate violence, but like most I’m certainy aware of the uselessness of voting, it won’t cure the cancer that is our political system. So what to do? At what point do we collectively acknowledge that they have crossed the last line we’re going to let them cross?

  • Marc

Of course if this ‘control’ existed as stated….this website would not exist and it’s owners would ‘disappear’. It’s amazing what people will say to sell some bogus merchandise.

    • Time

      MARC,
You still have some very basic threads of freedom, the Internet is still not 100% controlled.
But if you start looking into it, there are laws that our stellar Politicans want to bring about that will end the internet as you now know it now.

Perhaps some of the members who know of the FCC’s impending works can show you.
      Keep your mind open dude.

      • DaveH

It’s called Net Neutrality for those who wish to study the efforts of the Government to control the Internet. The FCC is currently making an effort to mess with the Internet using this approach. Funny how they are coming to our aid for a problem that doesn’t exist.

      • usmadgirl

        Time,

I’m sure you’ve seen some of the videos on Mark Lloyd, FCC Diversity Czar (that the WH is saying is not a Czar); so this is not necessarily for you, but just wanted to post the proof of what you & some others are saying on this board.

The one below is just one of many, but this one I hadn’t seen until yesterday. It’s so boring that I almost cried & started to hyperventillate, but other videos show him praising Hugo Chavez & how he shut down the media in Venezuela. The best one is the one that Glenn showed on his show, but I know some think that “our only source of truth” is a “fear monger”.

I’m talking about Freedom for all of us, not just the Religious people.

  • http://www.kjnf.net Jim Fridas

I read years ago how there are people who are involved in the control of the American people it started in the 1890′s when bankers thought of how to steal the federal bank now the federal reserve bank owned operated by criminals world wide, we need to force the government to nationalize the reserve, which won’t happen, but a depression is more likely, and that will be to the detriment to the government, tar and feathers anyone?

  • Wolfman

    Subject: Our failing Economy again

To Who It May Concern, Here is the real story why our Financial Institutions are failing. In one word it is called Greed. It is so bad that it is built into our Capitol System. You had everybody in the housing market making big bucks, big commissions and escrow loan and paperwork fees, etc, on getting people into buying overpriced homes they could not afford as long they all got their big commissions, Closing costs, Loan and escrow and paperwork fees etc. on top of national credit card debt and the price of gasoline, fighting 2 non-winable wars, illegal immigration, offloading of American jobs, overpaid and over compensated and crooked Bernie Madoff type CEOs, inside trading, no SFC wall street regulation and a host of other problems brought on by Greed. Who is going to bailout all the people that lost their 401k retirement savings while the Democrats and the Republicans sit and blame each other? at least the Feds should give us a tax break against our 401k loses when we withdraw our money from these 401K Retirement Funds. Send this E-Mail to your Stock Broker, CPA, and the people who handle your Money if you have any left.

    Thank You, The Wolfman

    • AnhydrousBob

Dude, you need to read just a bit more to fully understand. In almost all the instances you listed, the Gov’t can be implicated. I can be greedy all I want, but unless I somehow get the upper hand, I can’t legally affect anyone else. When the gov’t allows banks to no longer be subject to the free market, then problems begin to pile up like you mentioned.

  • Phil

141… You want to enable the very people this artical says has control of your life?… My point is when the middleclass has more money they tend to spend it on goods….I’m still trying to understand your argument aginst what I’m saying….or are you one of those 1% this articals about?.. I doubt that.. I’m also just giving you my opinion and you came Back with some nonsense that I must be a union Hack or work for the goverment.. Neither is the case… It’s real clear to me that their has been a shift of wealth in this country… But it’s more money going to the top 2% and away from the middleclass.. Has it been working ?…never before has that saying” the rich get richer and the poor get poorer…” that’s so true… I’m not saying were a poor country yet but were sure headed that way…example… Last month I paid 30 dollars for 1 of my prescriptions… This month the same medicine was 50 dollars , that’s a pretty big increase… You ok with that?… I’m saying it’s greed from drug makers.. You should fo some research into what drug company CEOs make… It’s criminal..

    • JeffH

Phil. The US used to be the Greatest Industrial Nation in the world. Not so anymore! Why? With too many regulations, environmental regulation, deregulation…the very backbone of America financial support has been severed by the selfish, global warming fanatics. Without the ability to continue with major industry, America will continue to become a poor, has been, country. Until we revert back to a constitutional republic, that ain’t gonna change.
Our work has just begun, and it is up to US to right the sinking ship.
I believe everyone needs to watch the documentary:
Generation Zero-The Truth About the Financial Meltdown is a documentary produced by David N. Bossie and directed by Stephen K. Bannon. The documentary examines the reasons for the economic downfall of September 18, 2008.

    • DaveH

      Phil,
Instead of wasting you time envying the Rich, Let’s cut the size of Government dramatically so that the Crony-Capitalists can’t so easily be protected from their competition.
Those Rich you envy don’t just spend their money. A large portion of it is invested in Capital Goods which make our economy more efficient and productive. They are the real job providers. All the Government does is waste the money they take from them.
In fact that money spending you claim is done by the middle class is a large part of the problem. People have been lured into accepting debt as a way of life. It’s not a very smart move. If we know that our paychecks are just going to go to paying off a mountain of debt, it severely takes the wind out of our sails to be hard-working and productive.
Big Government is sapping our economy. They are not only costing us Big money on Government employee salaries, they are also stifling productivity with all their meddling regulations.

      • Phil

Dave… Deregulation is exactly why were in this recession…it’s very clear these lenders took advantage of deregulation to give out loans to people who couldn’t afford them…. They did that because they could…I blame president Clinton for giving in to republicans that demanded deregulation… You can say its envy of the rich all you want and by using weak snide remarks like that just proves your ignorance…we could have a civil conversation or throw insults back and forth..it’s been proven time and time again that any business needs oversight…were being over charged by the healthcare industry and it’s proven the need regulation… Same with our goverment, it’s our duty to regulate them and make sure they don’t abuse power… Again… Do some research, while your wealth has gone down the top 2 % of this country has never had it so good… Call it envy if you want.. Blackwater and Haliburton got no bid contracts in Iraq…. Did you know they billed the American tax payer for strippers and hookers?… How about the missing billions in Iraq,… Should their be no goverment regulations of companys like these?..if humans were are honest and as pure in heart as you claim to be we wouldn’t need regulation but that just isn’t the case us it…I believe the current administration needs regulation as well as the last one should have had more transparency … Now feel free to go ahead and think if some cute little Glenn Beck names to try and insult me with..

        • DaveH

Throw insults back and forth? You called me ignorant, Ignorant Liberal. You don’t have a clue. Civil conversation? How is that possible with a name-calling, hypocritic Liberal? Your comment is filled with conjecture, not fact. Don’t flatter yourself.

The banks were coerced to make those loans to unqualified borrowers by organzations like ACORN, and by Government, starting with Bill Clinton. Read Thomas Sowell’s book “The Housing Boom and Bust” and learn something. Here is a short discussion of the book:
          http://reason.org/news/show/the-housing-boom-and-bust

          • DaveH

And isn’t it ironic that as the Government grows larger, our economy gets worse? That apparently doesn’t register with Ignorant Liberals who equate Hopes and Dreams with intelligence.

When I was young, medical costs were very affordable. They climbed out of control as the Ignorant Liberals grew government ever larger to “save” us all.

I had forgotten some of your previous comments, when I remarked that you seemed like an intelligent guy in an earlier comment. You definitely are a Legend in Your own Mind, though, as small as it is.

        • DaveH

Your lack of intelligence is exceeded only by your greed for OPM.

          • http://aol Don

DaveH – you are the put down queen. You are the best. The nerve that anyone one else would be negative towards you. What right do they have?

          • JeffH

eyes is a straight up stalker!

  • Phil

Wolfman… I believe you ” get it”… Were getting a royal screw job..and it is greed and a redistribution of wealth… All the middleclass money is going to the top 2%…. look who got the bailouts of our money .. The CEOs that needed it the least…. Both republicans and democrats are to blame in my opinion…and the tea partys are leaderless and unorganized …..

    • AnhydrousBob

No Phil, the tea-parties are not leaderless nor are they disorganized. You have fallen for the myth that a movement must have a single powerful leader to be successful, just like Jefferson, wait, Washington, no make that Hamilton, or is that Franklin, or Madison, or Adams or … or the thousands who agreed with them whose names are seldom heard.
None of these guys completely agreed with each other on every matter, but look what happened. They believed in Freedom, in the very idea that each one of them had the right to their own opinions and that a consolidating strong power (Gov’t) was NOT GOOD.
You are caught up in the nitpicking of who did what in the past. The solution is to back up and realize what the Founders knew – govt is only evil and it must be so small that it cannot destroy us.

Once the Govt has finished destroying the dollar, and our economy and then this nation, we will have to pick up and start again. They are counting on folks like you to look to them for help (because you need a leader so badly) so they can become the saviors (enslavers). But I think and hope that there are more unlike you that understand that the founding philosophy of this nation is decentralization and power resting in the individuals, not the gov’t.

      • DaveH

        Good Job, Bob.

  • James

“Who are regular, run-of-the-mill,tax-paying Americans to question Obama? He’s brilliant, after all. …If Obama is so brilliant, why does he parrot the words and thoughts of a bunch of schmucks like Karl Marx, Saul Alinsky, Al Gore and Michael Moore? Why does he insist that the trouble with the Constitution and the Civil Rights movement is that they didn’t focus on the redistribution of wealth? Why would he hand over the federal budget to a couple of morons like Pelosi and Reid? And why on earth would he put Henry Waxman in charge of his energy program? A brilliant person wouldn’t trust Waxman to bring baked beans to a picnic. When someone decides to model a health care plan after such dismal failures as England, Canada and Cuba, while exhuming the failed economic policies of FDR, why would anyone suggest he is anything but a left-wing ignoramus? This is an American president, for heaven’s sake, who has more in common with Noam Chomsky, Hugo Chavez and some Berkeley hippie than he has with Washington, Jefferson and Adams. Except that he is now 30 years older, Obama seems to think exactly the same way he was thinking back in college, when he was a pot-smoking idiot who sought out students who were self-professed revolutionaries and professors who were communists. If we have come to a point where the ability to read scripted lines off a teleprompter is considered a sign of brilliance, no matter how fatuous the actual words may be, we are in even worse shape than I imagined.”

James…you really should try talking to more people outside this site and others like it…maybe if you talked to an actual Canadian or Brit, you would have a clue about their countries. Try educating yourself in a broader way than just taking in this absurd rightwing,Limbaugh,Savage,Beck-like pap and actual propoganda. You really need to break the hold that these liars have on you and think for yourself…seriously,I know it’s very difficult, but it is possible.

      • Hiram B.

It is ironic how someone will call truth-tellers liars and liars’ truth-tellers.

I guess you live by whose lies you want to believe.

If you want totalitarianism, embrace progressive secularists [Obama and his genre]

If you want FREEDOM, embrace Constitutionalists. [Beck, etal]

        • denniso

Beck a constitutionalist??? Boy,are you fooled! He’s a money grubber building up millions of $$ by stirring up people like you and lying all the while. He could be considered a traitor,as Limbaugh could as well.

          • denniso

Hiram…yes it is interesting, though ironic isn’t the correct word, how deluded and brainwashed people can think that educated and reasonable people who actually study history, economics and politics are wrong and the deluded person is absolutely certain he’s right. No, the correct word for the ranting righties is stupidity. I don’t like to call anyone stupid,so I mean stupid for being confused and misled by hatemongers like Beck,Limbaugh,Sicko Savage and coming to actually belive all the crap that your ‘leaders’, who are piling up $$ w/ their spouting, are drumming into your brains that probably used to be able to think, even a little.

      • Time

Hey Old DennisO, How you doing bubba? I do speak with people all over the bloody world, you know what they say time after time?

“WTF is wrong with you Americans why do you keep electing wankers like BarryO?” As written by a German I do a lot of buisness with he can’t understand why Arericans can’t see that Barry lies all the time?

Or this quote from client in the UK, this is so on target its hurts. “Why do you Yanks think we have such a great health care system?
Why do your media people keep saying that your system is broken?
It took me 6 months to see my doctor here in the UK. Thank God your system in the states. It saved my life I had treatment within 48 hours of landing in the states.”

This one is also very on point, from a fellow I deal with in Eastern Europe. “We have had a happy end to what you now are to begining in the Helth care, why do you go backwards?” Is Americans not thinking.

        What can you say they see it, so what do you think the problem is here? Can you say {slanted – twisted media spin.}

        • AnhydrousBob

That’s what I get from them, too, Time. And the Netherlands, in my case.

          • J C

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

Time – I agree with twisted media and add one more comment. We get no NEWS here in America. All we hear and read is propaganda and only what they want to tell us. If you want to truly know who is behind it all research the owners of said scandal sheets and their party affiliations and you will learn who the real enemies are that has almost killed investigative reporting. Learn who started their own schools of journalism in the 50′s. Then you will have your answers.

        • Time

So Carl your making fun of a fellow from Russia who writes his best English? And you have problems with folks in Germany and the UK who have this great health care that can take you 6 months 8 months, or even 12 months just to see a Doc.
They would seem to me to have a better grasp of what goes on in their own back yard then you do of whats going on in your’s.
But be that as it may I am sure I saw the name Carl Casino written right next to GOD’S name, just where that was again I not sure.

So who was the guy from Canada that came down to the US for his medical needs again, you know the one that was all over the news?
          Can you answer that?

          • J C

That Canadian was Danny Williams, (Millionaire) Premier of Newfoundland.

And I’ve spoken to people in their 60′s from eastern bloc countries.
They will tell you that under communism they weren’t subjected to this much government control and regulation. Funny isn’t it? We sent 10′s if not 100′s of thousands to their deaths to fight communism, all the while it was sneaking in our own back door. And now we have a whole sect of the country who think it’s the American Way. That’s some “change” alright.

      • DaveH

Sure, he should listen to Denniso and get a “clue”. Greece is failing, Portugal and Spain are on the way. Socialism has failed everywhere that it has been fully implemented, and yet those Liberals who think they have a “clue” continue to confuse their Hopes and Dreams with Reality.

For those who really want to get a clue, here is an excellent place to start. Study the countries on this list. Find out what makes a successful country and what doesn’t. It certainly isn’t Government Meddling in the economy!

      So true and well-said James.

    • usmadgirl

      James,

Way to go! I’m watching Glenn Beck right now. I see people on this board making fun of him, calling him a “buffoon”, “cry baby”, “idiot” & other hateful names. Well, isn’t it odd that EVERYTHING he’s said was going to happen has happened?! If people don’t wise up & start listening to him & joining forces to do something about what’s happening daily before our eyes (that is unless you only watch the MessiahStreamMedia”), we as a country, are OVER! We won’t make it to the 2010 elections & I’ve said before, Obama’s next agenda (after he unconstitutionally shoves this health care hoax through), will be amnesty for all the illegals to vote with the Democrats & overwhelm the conservative voters so this administration can complete their progressive agenda!

Nothing they’ve attempted to do has worked! They never intended it to work! They took advantage of a crisis in order to promote their agenda. FNMA & FHLMC needs $15.6 billion more & AIG is still failing. No jobs, except for high paying GOVERNMENT jobs that produce absolutely SQUAT, have been created. The banks were bailed out so they could start loaning money again, but won’t let go of a red cent & banks are still failing! The people who were headed into foreclosure that were supposed to have their mortgages refinanced to a lower payment that they could afford have NOT been helped with the bailouts. The housing market is still unstable. So all we have is DEBT with absolutely NO results in saving the economy. They might as well have taken that money & flushed it down the toilet!

My question for over a year has been the same as this topic states, how in this world have we let the minority dictate to the majority? Sorry for the rant! I get sadder, angrier & feel more helpless every day!

      • DaveH

They are buying votes with that money. That is all.

Give Congress a 50% pay cut and send most of the beltway departments home to live in the real world pay check.Cut the energy department by 2/3′s and we will be safe on fictous carbon credits. Tax Congress for all the CO2 coming out their orfices. If most of the federal programs like mult-language voting and school education learning, farm subsidies and other government welfare system that have purputuated the dead ass syndrom, that is contagious. All started in the 30′s by socialist FDR and his communist/socialistic administration!

What is happening in America has been in the making for over 150-years. It did not happen yesterday.

I believe it is beyond fixing. Both major parties are imbued with progressive secularists…Democrats more so than Republicans.

What is strange a large portion of the American people seem to embrace enslavement. We have come a long way since our Founding Fathers created this Judeo-Christian nation.

Mr. G., what Mr. Livingston is trying to do is tell the TRUTH. If you ignore history it is at your own peril. What Mr.Livingston says in his article is based on factual truths, not playing on irrational fears. History is repeating itself, sadly here is America the bastion of FREEDOM.

What has occurred in the “Body Politic” in Washington, DC is out of control by the American public. The public has become irrelevant, a pawn.

The actions that I have seen from the majority of my fellow Americans has caused me to conclude the only solution is divine intervention.

This is one Christian who prays almost daily for the revival of the America of yesteryears but I have laid this burden on my Heavenly Father’s shoulders. What ever happens will be His will, not mine.

We have only ourselves to blame. THE ME GENERATION HAS WON!

    • denniso

Boy,oh boy, ‘secular progressives’…now that’s a bunch of scary people. I suggest we start burning them at the stake if they don’t voluntarily leave this country and all of their posessions behind, for us ‘non-secular progressives’ to divide up. We could use the example of the Great Spanish Inquistition as a model for how to rid our Glorious Christian Rightwing Gun Loving country of these vermin, and profit by it in the process. Let’s get w/ it now, time’s a wastin.

      • Hiram B.

denniso, you response was hilarious. So, in your eyes, because I am a Christian I am “Rightwing and Gun Loving.” Hmmm?

FYI….’The Spanish Inquisition was a hybrid religious-secular institution under the authority of the crown, which appointed its officials and supervised its operation. The tribunals employed judicial procedures that were both contrary and offensive to existing Castilian legal practice.’ [DOES THIS SOUND LIKE OBAMA?] If you are going to use an era in history, tell it like it was.

Secular progressives’are the ones who take your posessions and divide them among themselves. You have the actions backwards.

Do you know what a secular progressive is?

Christians love their Heavenly Father with all their hearts, minds, bodies, souls and strengths, and their neighbors as themself.

        • denniso

I’m talking about the Christians who, because they are in the majority, want to have their religion dominate our country and exclude all others…and the phony Christians who are actually just bigots and hypocrites and don’t come close to ‘loving their neighbor’,unless their neighbor looks and thinks exactly like them.
In other words, people who pretend to believe in Jesus’ words of peace and love and tolerance as a disguise for their hate and bigotry.

This is an outstanding article and very salient in that it so concisely gets to the point of all the major factors involved. I have been seeing this for the last two decades occurring. It would definitely be worthwhile saving this particular post link to work off of to enable all here to better explain to your friends and acquaintances just what really is going on. One of the best articles I have seen that gets to the point of this subject. Mr. Livingston I thank you for this very great article.

141… Your post are nonsense…you are the problem and I can tell by your post that millionairs like Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Hannity form your opinions….. How can I tell? By the childish name calling… It’s both partys doing the damage…the Becks, Limbaughs and Hannitys of the world make their money rileing up the ignorant people of this country … You better wise up…obummer as you childishly call him isn’t doing anything that didn’t go on when republicans had control of this country…when some of you get it that it’s the system in place and not the political partys maybe theirs a chance to fix this…we’ve changed political partys a few times and it’s the same exact problems….get some real leaders for an independent party…. The Sarah Palins and Ron Pauls are more of the same we’ve already had

Most of the banker and power player in the money market scemes at business majors and all trained in our quote worder eleit colleges. Most all money traders are unable to know how the products or goods they are market are created. Oil and grain are to prime areas of screwing the markets around. We have more oil that is right here on land not the ocean that we could get if the idoits in the energy department would wake up. Education is worthless as hell if you don’t know how too use it or apply the learning. This hypothical theories is what gets people into dream land, housing is always going to be a good investment, wrong it will probably drop another 40-50% in a couple of years. Thanks to all the great advice of the experts. And as to middle class, if you tax the hell out of job creaters, there will not be any pay checks. The retarded dems just cannot, see if taxes go down on businesses they will grow and put more people to work. The paperwork mandated by the different departments is a make work for dumb butts that couldn’t get a job in the real world. Most countries educate 5 lawyers for every 100 engineers, the US has 100 lawyer for every 2 engineers or craftmen. The pissing and whining about jobs going over seas, well the eleits enviors don’t want drilling, don’t want businesses to start up till they have all the bull S–t permits and have the proper officals and hearings held. Even to build a road or widen it takes 4-8 years depending on the know nothing wonks. A small business employing less than 10 employees, will cost 25-100,000 before anything a proceed. Middle class doesn’t have funding to start up a business. Middle class and wealth bashing sound a lot like the union [offensive word removed] wipe mantra.

Mr. Livingston rightfully talks about our perpetual wars through fear and the military industrial complex. Liberals, good Republicans, and libertarians have been saying that for decades. We need to be made more aware of how we get dragged into all these endless firefights. S.C.,quoted someone who used govt.policies to denounce pacifists for lack of patriotism and to get the govt.’s war machine reved up. Works everytime no matter what country it is. Mr Livingston says that 1% controls the wealth and the media;that is not a compliment to the filthy rich and anyone else who wants to manipulate our country.

  • Niner

Hey Bob, Why don’t we just do away with the government and the financial institutions and social programs like medicare and medicaid and social security like the teabaggers and apparenty you are advising? This would lead to what is called Anarchy! If this nation wants to continue to follow the right wing agenda of tax cuts for the rich and offshore tax breaks for the big corporations and deregulation of the financial institutions and continue to spend about $1 Trillion per year on the military industrial complex, then we will become a third world country! If you think things are going bad now, just wait and see what it might be like if we continue moving this nation to the right! The conservative party has bankrupted America and you are right, most of the American people do not understand or even realize what their cut taxes and spend and borrow policies have done to America! Healthcare, why have this? Apparently many of the other developed nations can figure this out, but we cannot because of the powere brokers supported primarily by the republican party! Your great right wing President Reagan tripled the national debt and doubled the self-employment tax on the working class people! Then we have another right wing President G.W Bush doubling a much larger national debt created by President Reagan from the $5.5 Trillion to $11.5 Trillion which was turned over to President Obama along with a one year deficit of $1.3 Trillion dollars! So what do we here now, that President Obama is spending all of this money! WOW! Will truth ever prevail with you people? What is the republicans answere to get the economy going again, DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! and vote against every thing that would get Americans back to work! They actually want America to FAIL! You are right, What a country we have now and now wonder, with the supply side economics and Reagonomics that have moved this country toe the right for the past 30 years, America is now suffering the seeds of what they have been sowing! You people are so concerned about President Obama reading off of a tela prompter, at least what he has to say is sane and about reality whereas your man Bush could not even think for himself and could not even pronounce many words or know the meaning of them! Reality and truth have no place in your world!

    • Marcus

You’re both wrong and too ideologically brainwashed to see through the maze created by these people. THERE ALL IN IT TOGETHER!!! Bush, Cheney, Clinton, Gore, Bush 2, Obama, it doesn’t end. They are all the same. If you can’t see that there is a secretive group of people running things in order to bring about choas, martial law, one world government, etc… than you are all clueless. Conspiracy Theory or not, 1 + 1 = 2 remember??????????? They are pitting us AGAINST EACH OTHER WHILE THEY PICK OUR POCKETS!!! WE NEED TO UNITE AGAINST THESE SCUMBAGS!!!!!!!!! Stop fighting and wasting time doing what they want you to do, which is exactly what you’re doing, and fight them!!!!!!! Wake up you idiots before it is too late!!!

Anarchy! Oh, horror of horrors, if we cut back on the size of Government we are going to have Anarchy!
Why is it that so many Liberals get Hyperbolic when we talk about reducing the size of Government? The Chaos that is so often attributed to Anarchy is in fact a very real result of too much Government. Try putting too many cooks in a kitchen and you will see what I mean.

There is only one real solution to our problems and that is Libertarianism. We need to put Choice and Responsibility back into the hands of the Individual. The One-Size-Fits-All solutions of Big Government make for an unhappy population:

Looks like you do a lot of thinking for nothing. What a waste of time. If only common sence could be applied to all of this nonsence. You might actually acomplish something.

    • AnhydrousBob

      Anarchy?
Sign me up. After the collapse of the Dollar, I’m pretty sure that’s what we’ll have, anyway. Besides, this progressive utopia is getting too much for me anyway and Rothbard’s ideas on anarchy don’t seem that bad :)
While we might be able to “fix” the government with a lot of constitutional loving government “servants”, I am afraid that we can’t unwind this economic mess we are in – caused by both parties over the years. Quit accusing just the “other side” there is plenty of blame here for all of us, by commission, by omission, by association.

      • DaveH

        Bob,
This “economic mess” would clear up rapidly if we just would get the Government meddlers out of it. They are costing us a fortune, both in government salaries and in stifled productivity. Just getting that ridiculous Income Tax system out of our lives would save a fortune by putting all those tax-preparers, tax-lawyers, and IRS employees back to doing productive work instead of draining our economy.

        • http://aol Don

Also the Supreme Court did a good thing when they changed our constitution to “We the corporations”.

        • AnhydrousBob

What I’m talking about is the debt and unfunded liabilities (up to 50 trillion if I remember right) and all the dollars printed to monetize that debt. At some point, based on historical precedence, we’re gonna have hyperinflation – all it takes is the right trigger and the dollar to lose its reserve status. Maybe we can dodge the bullett with the right government action, and certainly the rest of the world will be willing to grant us a chance – they’re gonna suffer, too. It’s OK to hope, but you better be preparing for the worse.

What do you expect when a country runs out of leaders and perverts, criminals and subhumans are allowed to get and keep power? This is exactly what we should expect. When puppet-masters who hide in the shadows make these retards dance like puppets, you get ‘designer leadership.’
When standards are fair game for any saul alinsky who wants to destroy them, this is what you get. When hack politicans [career criminals] live better than citizens, this is what you get.
When you don’t understand, this is what you get. When you don’t want to know what’s going on, this is what you get. When you ignore history, this is what you get.
WHEN will Americans WAKE UP and tell politicians STRAIGHT OUT that they have already violated enough of the Constitution to deserve whatever happens to them?
What happened the last time “taxation without representation” was the best way to view America?
Some say history doesn’t repeat itself. It does repeat itself, and we are very near that point again. Let the living history lesson begin – AGAIN.

  • goriq

As long as the internet has not been regulated into destruction (see china) as long as “free will” still exists in the world, the statist mentality, liberals/progressives/marxists will be held in check. The framers of our constitution did the world a great service, it has served us well so far, so when these statist groups/individuals attempt to sway opinion our constitution is a great source to combat their arguments. By the way how did we get to a government that allows “unions” amongst government workers? The government is comprised of public employee’s hired by the public vote. what law or constitutional provision allowed these employee’s to unionize? A large part of the public debt goes to pay for benefits “won” by “public unions” when did we get to vote on this use of our tax money? Public unions of all types SHOULD be as illegal as illegal aliens in public office or Chicago criminals in high office, we have a LOT of corrective action needed to get back to our founders framework!!!

    • AnhydrousBob

Well, I’m pretty sure the first time they were confiscated it was illegal, so why would doing it a second time be more illegal – at least this time they are following precedent.

    • Vicki

Where was it legal for the FedGov to confiscate gold the first time? They ignored the highest law of the land then. They will ignore it again if it suits them.

  • ONTIME

This is why it is important to abolish the progressive income tax, a national police force now and replace it with a flat tax overlaid by a national sales tax. By doing so you have literally eradicated unfair taxation, gained control of knowing just exactly what your money is taxing, regulating that tax and subsequently regulating the income of your government and hence the size of your government…it’s hard to do but not impossible.

Learn about who you vote for and what they support, it is because of out poor voting habits that we the people have allowed our government to become this huge, expensive, intrusive monster that is absolutely eating up every available dollar this country can produce. This unregulated growth is the problem with why the quality of America in in jeopardy, your freedoms and rights are going to suffer if you do not learn how to vote for decent people who want to serve the people and not grow the government.

  • CWR

Whew, what a relief. I am so glad that when the Islamofascist, murdering animals that attacked us on 9 11 murdered 3000 of our countrymen as a part of THEIR war on us, that it didn’t really happen and was just a fig newton of my paranoid imagination. OHHH wait, I know…it was George Bush and Dick Cheney hopping out of black helicopters with backpacks full of C4 that blew up those buildings. Got it.

I’m from the Waco area, so don’t bother telling me about how corrupt the system is. Koresh went in & out of town by himself all the time and could have been caught alone anytime. No one had to die.

    • DaveH

The Waco event is a good example. It’s unbelievable to me how easily steered the citizens were in that situation. Children were slaughtered in that event! What does it take to wake people to the dangers of Big Government?

    • JeffH

Let us not forget the government provoked and endorsed murders of a 15 y/o and his mother at Ruby Ridge in Idaho. If they had wanted Randy Weaver bad enough, all they had to do was wait for him to come into town. What about the waste of money and manpower on both of these attacks on US citizens?

      • DaveH

I think both were a result of Bill Clinton trying to create a false crises to rally the citizens behind gun control.

  • remmy

I do not agree with Bob on all of his analogy about USA govt. But i do agree with him that we are becoming one of the most policed country in the world at a time we are priding ourselves as the center of democracy in the world. Democracy to my uderstaning does not mean perfect, rather an opportunity for an indiviual to paticept in a welfare of its state to make it better for all. And also at the same time recorganises our imperfection and allows us time to correct our mistakes. That is how we derived the definition of democracy as govt. of the people by the people and for the people. Know that our indiviual perticetion have been taken away from us and replaced it with control and command center around the country. Two out of three stop lights have cameras installed in them, especially in most of the poor narborhood’s. The only time our indiviual rights are promoted by the one percent that controls us is during the election to help them pick who will better meet thier needs and NOT OURS. Is about time we wake up and stop fighting ourselves but find a way to voice our opinion and to perticept in our own govt.

    • Vicki

Democracy is 2 wolves and a lamb voting on dinner. I think you will be much better served by the government our Forefathers created for us. A Constitutionally limited Republic. We need to re-assert those limitations.

      • JC

        I’m with you Vicki.

  • http://ActionAmerica.org John Gaver

Actually, 1% controls only about 94-98% of the people; not 99%. That’s because the top earning 1-5% of income-earners (who are NOT part of the 1% of government bureaucrats, who couldn’t hold a job in the real world) are NEVER controlled.

The top income-earners have enough money to avoid ANY and ALL attempts of that 1% of bureaucrats, to control them. Sometimes that means leaving the jurisdiction of the offending government and unfortunately, that is exactly what we are seeing today.

Zogby International reported in 2008 that, based upon 7 surveys conducted over three years, at least 3 million U.S. citizens a year “relocate” abroad. Notice that they did use the word, “relocate”. They were specifically not looking for those who were going overseas on temporary assignment. They were looking for those who were, as the report states, “determined to relocate abroad”.

The question that this raises is, “How many of those people do you think are poor?”

In fact, the people who are leaving, are the people who pay the lion’s share of the taxes and whose investments create huge numbers of JOBS in the USA. It is the attempts by that 1% of government bureaucrats to control everyone, that is actually responsible for driving off the people who pay the lion’s share of the taxes (the top 1% pay 40% of taxes and the top 5% pay 60% of taxes – source: IRS).

It’s a double whammy. The futile attempts of those witless bureaucrats in government, to control everyone, that is not only increasing our debt to nearly impossible levels, but driving off the only Americans who pay enough tax to make a difference in paying down that debt.

I suppose that’s why they are in government. They are so incompetent that no one else would hire them.

  • duke

Many of you will never see the incoming because you are all too busy being entertained.
They knew along time ago if you keep people entertained either from boredom or just out of shock value.
Control can be brought about by claiming to protect people
    while doing the opposite.
Keep them busy while the other hand is using slight of hand and doing thedirty work of removing money from the populus.

        Thank you Bob.
According to the Dictionary, a Conservative is:
“one who adheres to traditional methods or views”.
So, a Conservative in China might be a Communist, whereas a Conservative in the United States might be Libertarian.
For sure, the religious right has hijacked the word these days, so it is very confusing. We just have to interpret the context in which the word is used.
I like to think that the Libertarians are the true Conservatives in this Country as they are the only ones that consistently champion Individual Liberty.

So, I think that America is beginning to wake up, but it seems like a tad too late. What can we do to take America back? We’re replacing Congressmen and Senators, but that will take a while.

What I want to know is how do the people impeach their president, I thing the majority of American’s would sign up for that now. He has done many unconstitutional things like appointing czars, forcing private information from citizens in the census(not mine, I refuse) forcing citizens to pay for abortions, forcing citizens to educate their children to accept homosexuality, taking over our health care, socializing one aspect of our society after another, forcing citizens to pay $350 Billion a year for illegal immigrants, unwise pork barrel spending, bail outs, corruption and taxing, absolutely breaking the back of our country, loss of freedoms, dragging it continually down, down, down. These things should be considered treasonous, they are so contrary to our Democracy.
Where are the consequences for these treasonous actions, where are the laws protecting us from this oppressive government! Aren’t American citizens supposed to have redress for grievances? Why isn’t this being done?
All I can say is that the conduct of our current government is pure insanity. Don’t they realize that some of us will go to jail by not paying taxes (tax revolt)and loose all our properties before we will participate in abortion, or promoting immoral homosexual behavior or any other immoral garbage! Hello, it’s down to this folks! Which side on you on? The wicked or the righteous? Take you pick, the lines are drawn.

I think Niner got his facts screwed up the dem. were the one hiding money in off shore accounts. JFK’s dad hide a lot of money off shore as well as booze. He then was appointed by FDR to clean up corruption. We now have tax fudger Rangel writing tax laws and Treasure Turbo Geithner watching our money. What a couple of hands. The finanical institutions are managed and massaged by the same ol bunch of wonks. Dems defending their stance to be the most ethical group ever in office. The dems cann’t get rid of their Tammany Hall back ground. Acorn just dug out their old play book. As for getting rid of medicare, social security, medicaid, and all the other social programs, it would take a bit of tin canning the government paper shufflers to start saving money. As for the though it would be anarchy, no it will if it keeps going the way it is now. The big corporations like Wal-Mart has sitting on their boards people out of Clinton administration and even Hillary sat on the board. So if the same small group sits on everyone else boards it is same ol same ol. Must of all the finacial institations and corporation use the attitude of eleitist social engineering attitude. The melt down was Freddie and Fannie created by FDR and kept growing under every dem Congress. When loans were made to dinks with no job and no work history, darn we have a failure rate. It also forced banks to make loans to people that were questionable. Sharpton, Jackson, and Ohammerhead whine about blacks not getting a level playing field, these three screw the black citizens and all think they need extra help. Before medicare it was pay as you go instead the Great Society created all the along with paper work and raised cost through the roof. And every year costs goes up and so does the amount of paper to fill out. The borrowing from the SS, was a plan used by the dems for years, and was thought up by the dems. As to all the love for the Bamister, read Hilter’s back ground and I think he is actually following Hitler master plan ie raised by his mother, his father sired several other children off of several other women, was a great orator, was pretty egoitical, controlled the media, and beleived that the government knew what was best for the people. He also controlled banks and seized industerial and manufactoring plants. He also had his group of hand picked thugs, sound like our President? Of course we graduate kids from thatt cann’t read or spell or think for themselves, history is never taught as it should be, but as a negiative veiw of the USA, and all feel good dung. Of course when the teachers are tenured and unionized, you are getting less than desirable out comes, which comes from down the line from the beltway.

James, here we all sit with the worse economy of my lifetime coming off 8 years of Republican rule ( McCain sat in on the same economic meetings Obama did) and you’re trying to trash other countrys economys?…20 of the last 31 years this country was under republican rule… That’s why were here..Obama didn’t do this to our economy… This is a 100 % conservative recession …and don’t even try and tell me the 2006 democrat congress did this… They were called the DO NOTHING CONGRESS by republicans for passing the least bills in more than 20 years… Bush had veto power over the 2006 congress…this economy is a direct result of Republicans, deregulation and Bush tax cuts to the top 2 %.. then throw on top of that 9/11 and Bushs personal war in Iraq… That’s what’s nearly destroyed this country … And as a result of that the bailouts were needed… Same bailouts that would have been nessessary had McCain and Palin… Except had they been elected we’d probley be living in caves and without electricity…fact.. No banks= No business .. And no capitolism…

  • Phil

Just think what your wages would be if not for unions…think about unions next time you fly on a commercial jet… Would you like to fly without the unions that make sure those jets are up to code… Even non union shops have a pay standard that was set by unions.,,, another way to think of unions is our country…. It’s a union of states…. Hate this country and goverment all you want but your never going to be rid of unions…. Civilization was built on unions…and as much as you hate them they are going nowhere…. This countrys never going back to the 1940′s and 50′s… I see you trying to wrap your hate for our goverment in religion and patriotism…. I’m not at all fooled by your attempt to be godly or patriotic…

    • AnhydrousBob

Sorry, this post is so full of crap I can’t SHOUT my way thru it.

    • DaveH

For every Union worker that commands a higher wage and less productivity, the rest of us have to pay more for our products or do without. And as the companies flee overseas to find reasonably priced labor, many of us also must do without jobs.

      • http://aol Don

Correct – greed has nothing to do with it.

    • AnhydrousBob

Well, actually I do have something to say. A union, or a group of workers is not a wrong thing per se. If they want to get together and collectively bargain, that is fine, but if the employer wants to fire them all and start over, he also has that right.

Where does the concept that a person “owns” his job whether he is there or not come from? A job is owned by the one who is paying for it to be done – the concept that once someone starts working in a position they somehow have a right to control it is nonsense. A job is a contract between two people, nothing more.

  • Gunther Steinberg, PhD

RE: How does the 1% control the 99%:
Virtually all of your arguments are totally wrong and unrealistic. The one nearly true statement is: “The American people are taught voodoo economics. They have absolutely no understanding of reality.”
You, Bob, also lack the understanding why government is needed.
You seem tot want to go back to an ago of tribal groups and militias, no common exchange medium (money), or perhaps everybody carry around bags of gold and silver.

The majority of your statements and arguments reek of lack of education and a desire to inflame even less educated people with false information. You sound very much like the politicians who fight the opposition with misinformation and distortion of facts.

A couple of your other headlines confirm my view.

    • blackhat

How about less federal control and more state control to start with…catch a clue…

    • AnhydrousBob

A lot of Conjecture and accusations, but I never did see your Dissertation to prove your allegations.

However, if you read your post out loud with a Hav’ad accent it will make other people in the room ROFL.

    • DaveH

“You sound very much like the politicians who fight the opposition with misinformation and distortion of facts”.

And you, Gunther, sound very much like a tenured professor who needs the protection of government to keep his job.
Flooding the market with bogus money could only be excused away by somebody who doesn’t have a clue about money dynamics.

      • http://aol Don

Correct, I think you should read all the facts in those articles that DaveH refers to. I do – I get all the facts, even though they say the opposite of Dave says. Dave thanks for all the research you do.

      • blackhat

Absolutely right on Dave! Let’s see…if I am in debt up to my eyeballs (an obvious reference to eyes) then I should really go out and borrow more money…whew…problem solved. Oh and BTW, why is it that all these libs complain that Bush ran up the deficit, but the way to get rid of the deficit is for Obama to raise it, but that makes it bigger, so we have to raise it again, but that leaves a big deficit, so we have to raise the deficit to fix it…

  • Phil

Hate big goverment?… 2 of the 3 biggest goverments this country ever had were republican administrations…..it’s only socialism when it’s a democrat administration?..

    • blackhat

Okay, Phil…Everyone has “got it”. You hate Reps and Conservatives. So, are you okay with sending your paycheck to Washington to provide all the govt “can” as long as Dems are doing the “taxing”? At least be consistent and write a whopping check to Uncle Sam (care of the Dems) to redistribute to some worthy citizen.

      • AnhydrousBob

I tip my hat to blackhat.

        • blackhat

Ohhh….I “get it” Bob! “Tipping hat”!!! Good one! LOL

      • DaveH

Please excuse Phil. It’s hard for him to see through those green-colored glasses.

      • Harold Olsen

Well, as Charles Krauthammer said on Fox News Channel in November of 2008, “George Bush is the most socialist president in the history of this country.” I happen to agree with that. However, Barack Hussein Obama is going out of his way to beat that record. Obama’s not just a socialist, he’s a national socialist.

    Phil,
Curios George isn’t spending money unless you call All the foreign banks that got stimulas money and other eleit boneheads, the dem controlled areas got taxpayer money all the way up to their curl tails and it sure wasn’t the average citizen unless you are a government posterior kisser. As for the war in Iraq, I cann’t beleive you people equate Iraq with Waco, Iraq was a training ground, if you want to learn why our American deaths climb so fast from when we went in, was at first if someone was running with a gun you put him down, then the bleeding heart dems and checker board beanheads decided we had to tell them to drop their weapons. At first they had to respond immediately, next let them think about about it, casulities climbed. We always try to protect the citizen in war, right after we got their and still waiting armed we witnessed a sand crab get POed because his wife bought the wrong type of vegatables, we couldn’t intervene, when the 12-15 old son stepped in to get between his mother who was getting the shit beat out of her, the man pulled a pistol, shot the son, then the mother, and calmy walked back to the hut. The bodies laid for over 5 hours in the sun before a mini pick up pulled up and threw the bodies in the back our commander had to call to get someone to do something about the bodies. On a return pass two days later the guy has hooked up with another woman. Most of you bleeding heart libs are the most stupid head up your rears morons I ever seen, most think the UN will take care of problems, get you head in some fresh air, the UN is a great meals on wheels, with USA food no less. Of course it would be politically incorrect to teach students and the public about that kind of stuff. If we would fight like we really meant it , instead of we will just talk and have cookies. I don’t think Oidoit has ever been in a real fight or even had a good ass kicking, and he is going to lead and know what happens in the military. Classic pansie asses whimp. Theories don’t win except in the class room with a capitive audience.

    • Phil

141, I’m trying to figureout what your post means… But the short explanation is you must be impaired… I’m not sure what your talking about but you’ve suceeded in convincing me your a nutcase… You really must be crazy…

      • DaveH

I don’t necessarily agree with 141, but I think the evidence is pretty clear that you are “nutcase” who gets off on personal attacks.

  • TRUE PATRIOT

For anyone who’s paying attention they can quickly see that Democracy has been slowly being replaced with Fascism and there is no partisan politics with this issue it is across the board politics! The only official definition of Fascism comes from Benito Mussolini, the founder of fascism, in which he outlines three principles of a fascist philosophy.
1.”Everything in the state”. The Government is supreme and the country is all-encompasing, and all within it must conform to the ruling body, often a dictator.
2.”Nothing outside the state”. The country must grow and the implied goal of any fascist nation is to rule the world, and have every human submit to the government.
3.”Nothing against the state”. Any type of questioning the government is not to be tolerated. If you do not see things our way, you are wrong. If you do not agree with the government, you cannot be allowed to live and taint the minds of the rest of the good citizens.
The use of militarism was implied only as a means to accomplish one of the three above principles, mainly to keep the people and rest of the world in line. Fascist countries are known for their harmony and lack of internal strife. There are no conflicting parties or elections in fascist countries. Or the party resides in 2 Front parties!
Nazi Germany was extreme Fascism, other examples of fascist countries were Mussolini’s Italy, Iraq, Iran, and many middle eastern countries.

John Gaver; “3 million leave the USA”. Which countries did you say these citizens went to? Since every country in the world is the enemy of America (according to this site),then they must all be traitors. Please name these countries. The 1-2% aren’t fleeing America;they just relocate their money overseas and have been doing so for decades (avoiding taxes). Most people I’ve run accross in life that move to another country go to Mexico (Ajjic),Costa Rica, Canada,or France. Most go to retire and they don’t have alot of money.

    • blackhat

Eddie, did you even know what the top end earners in this country are taxed at a rate around 35% and up? In New York (with state taxes) they could pay as much as 65%…How would you like to pay 65 cents of every dollar to the govt? Would you do it willingly?

      • Phil

Blackhat… Wrong… Bushs tax cuts have the top 2% paying between 15 & 16.6 % tax rate… Google it…the middleclass is paying between 33.3 % and 35%….. google it… Not suprised you don’t know what your talking about… What exactly do you think the Bush tax cuts were?…it’s time they paid instead of the middleclass …. Obt take my word for it… Google ” the Bush Tax cuts”… Also look how much their income has risen since 2003… Will you be honest enough to come back in here and tell these people what the Bush tax cuts are… Why would they be called Tax cuts if they didn’t cut they’re taxes….?

        • DaveH

These figures come directly from the IRS:
          http://www.ntu.org/tax-basics/who-pays-income-taxes.html

Of course you could ignore them like Liberals do, and just believe what you want.

        • Vicki

You google it. Then provide the link as evidence of your assertion. Dave H. at least had the courtesy to provide a cite for his figures.

        • blackhat

Gosh…didn’t know that the govt accounting office could be so wrong…silly me, believing that the govt could get their own tax rates sooo wrong…

        • blackhat

Phil the tax cuts were to drop the rate that top end earners were paying by 15%, not to 15% you idiot. Top end earners were paying up to 58% prior to the tax cuts…get it right..

  • Phil

141… I doubt it will do any good but I’ll remind you anyway….. The Wallstreet bailouts started while George W. Bush was president…. Just a small detail… Oh, I’m not sure what you meant when you said I equated Iraq to Waco….. I never even mentioned Waco… You sure you wernt dreaming or under the influence of some strong narcotic?…but please keep posting your opinion… You make it easy to process republicans and conservatives are insane… Maybe you can have one of your rightwing nutcase brothers or sisters translate your post

    • DaveH

Do you look in the mirror and repeatedly chant “I am a good man”?

Maybe that and a few stiff drinks will convince you (at least until you’re sober again).

    • Vicki

Phil demonstrates predictable liberal debate method
“Maybe you can have one of your right wing nutcase brothers or sisters translate your position”

Perhaps you could stick with debating facts and points and leave off the personal attacks? We might be more inclined to take you seriously.

  • Blaine

I am so far down this blog no one will ever get to see my response…..but,….there are two things that could be done so this great ship called AMERICA could right itself…….It would take a few years and some real men to step forward but it would do the trick……..FIRST….Abolish the 17th amendment……that would get the Senators out of the politician business…then senators would only be in Washington a couple terms and be there to only represent the state that sent them there……..appointed by the governor of that state and approved by the state legislature. Then these good men would go back to being good working citizens like everyone else…..Second….pass term limits on representatives…we need to do away with lifetime politicians……..our government was meant to be run by normal working people……wish I had more time and space but those things would make this country great again……..BP

    • AnhydrousBob

Blaine, I agree with Point 1, but not with point 2. This system we have will not survive unless the people are constantly watching their government (remember Franklin telling the lady we have a Republic if we can keep it). Term limits only serve to give a false sense of safety. You can have a group of folks daisy chain thru the office with term limits. It is only by constant diligence that we can “TERM LIMIT” a bad official.

  • Phil

The Bush Tax cuts allow the top 2 % to be taxed at between 15 & 16.6 %….. while the middleclass is taxed at between 33.3 and 35%…..in 2011 the tax cuts expire…. Google ” the Bush tax cuts”…the recession is a direct result of tax cuts for the rich during a time of war plus the deregulation of Banks, mortage companys and lenders…… And is exactly where Republicans and conservatives want to return to…..keep republicans and conservatives out if goverment, they’ve done enough damage to America….

    • Phil

My source for that information on the Bush tax cut?….Businessweek.com….

    • jim

Phil, How much revenue was that 15-16% and how much was collected from the middle class at 33%. How much money was used by the 15% group to build buisnesses and hire us middle class people, who, because of your petty jelousy you want to take their money and as a result our jobs. Their money comming to us in paychecks instead of tax dollars are way more benificial to us. Governments don’t create jobs or wealth, they just take it.

Norman Thomas, a U.S. Socialist Party candidate for President in the 1940s, predicted:

“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But, under the name of ‘Liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until, one day, America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”
That day has arrived. Barack Hussein Obama is its standard-bearer.

      http://www.heritage.org/index/country/Chile

      • David Hall

Mr. DaveH, I was writing about the poverty in these countries. My stepson is a mechanical engineer, that works in Africa for an oil
company. The folks tied in with the government, very, very wealthy.
The people who ain’t live in card-board boxes. Your right, Chile’s
economy is far better than any Latin-American country, but their
poor is as poor as any I wrote. Point being the BIGGER THE GOVERNMENT,
THE SMALLER AND POORER THE PEOPLE! It’s been proved all around the
world, over and over. When people see pics of the above named on the
news, look at the POOR and they will see the end result of BIG GOVERNMENT!

        • David Hall

Yes-sir, Mr. DaveH, I forgot about Cuba, who a communist country. Hell, maybe that’s where Obama is taking us, with all his commie buddies. Damned, if I know!

  • Mark

The government IS enemy number one. Like that denniso clown stated we can vote, and poll, and march, etc.etc.etc. but only to the point that we are allowed to do so. The government creates many facades in order to control a mostly panicky populace. Just look at all the fools that run for the gas stations at the slightest hint of trouble. We have been brainwashed for so many years that we panick at trouble and do just what the gov’t wants us to do. Communism has been the rule of gov’t ever since centralized banking was allowed to begin by an absolute fool named lincoln (no I will not capitalize his name), now we have a marxist fool named obama. If the country goes to hell in a hand basket it would not be good to be in politics, law enforcement or the military. It is pathetic that they would die for marxism, especially after all the propaganda we had crammed down our throats during the Cold War era. But bet your butts on one thing, there are a lot of that 99% that won’t curl under and the before mentioned professions will be looking for people to fill their ranks.

  • JeffH

IS A VIRUS RESPONSIBLE FOR LIBERAL INSANITY?
I am beginning to believe that liberals have been infected with a virus that causes them to have a warped view of the world. If it is not a virus, then it is mental illness.

Progressives (the latest name for communists), marxists, communists, socialists and fascists are not normal. No normal person wants to steal the earnings of others, incarcerate those that disagree with them, coddle our enemies, suspend free speech, destroy our freedoms, muzzle talk radio, seize and destroy our health care system, destroy morality and make perversion the norm, attack and attempt to destroy Christianity, slaughter babies in the womb by the millions and brainwash our children to accept all these things.

These people are evil and sick and have now seized all three branches of our government. Not even Adolf Hitler killed as many human beings as these folks have over the last hundred years. The death toll is in the hundreds of millions.
Perhaps the virus is Satanic influence.
Can we please work on a vaccine for this virus?
God is way ahead of us. The antivirus is Jesus Christ.
    americasbestsolutions.blogspot.com/

    • DaveH

Jeff, have some sympathy. They aren’t crazy, they are just addicted to OPM.

    • David Hall

Mr. JeffH, AMEN to our anti-virus, JESUS CHRIST. As far as these left-wing nuts are concerned, it just a matter of time and they’ll see a little clearer. At one time, the majority of German people hailed Hilter as their messiah, same goes for the left-wing nuts, here in
America toward Obama. When Obama is done and the left-wing nuts living
in the cities across America, find themselves digging in garbage cans to eat and crying why didn’t Obama save us? They’ll finally see the light, many will see the TRUE LIGHT!

    • RobertP

      Jeff,
I myself have continued to wonder how it’s possible that the Liberal mind can’t see how socialism has failed throughout history and that the purveyors of this philosophy, no matter who they are, have little to do with helping the common man, but instead have only the enslavement of them, in mind. This has been proven time and time again, but the new Progressives (Socialists by another name) cling on to their fantasy that government should be our sole providers and that they have the path to a true utopia, if we would just do what they want us to do. To me this is the ultimate in gullibility and is indicative of the mindset of the Progressive today.
Maybe it is a virus, or maybe it’s just that our public education system is actually having some “success” as measured by how many “diseased” people can actually believe the governments words in greater and greater numbers.

      • denniso

You know, some of us actually think that we can have an intelligent discussion w/ people like you…it is increasingly clear though that you extremists don’t have the education to make that possible. So, keep on blabbing and throwing out cliches and demonized terms and think that you are actually saying something, all the while it is just babble and mindlessness…

        • JeffH

dennisso…you’re drooling again! The eyes of Texas are upon you…

          • David Hall

            And, Tennessee too!

          • denniso

Jeff H…in your post above, you are only showing your ignorance and childishness…come on, man.

        • RobertP

denniso, your reply is nothing but “babble and mindlessness”. If you want to have an intelligent discussion, which you pretend you seek, why don’t you try to point out a time, place, country, and/or leader in history that has ever used the “progressive” (socialistic) mantra or banner to successfully take its people to a place that has been more, or even as successful as the United States has been? That is until it has fallen into the hands of not just “progressives”, but republicans that are no longer following conservative values. Both parties disgust me in recent years, and I believe most true conservatives feel the same way as I do. I detest those republicans that try to disguise their “tax and spend” habits on purposeless wars and “special interests”, without regard for our countries future, just as much as I do the blatant, but even more exaggerated spending habits of the Liberals in government. I won’t defend Republicans that don’t represent my values and if you want to defend Progressives belief which is that government is the answer to all this countries problems, then I really think you are in the wrong country. This is America, and it hasn’t succeded this far by being run like the Soviet Union was before its ultimate collapse. You really need to drop the blinders that you have on and use your peripheral vision once in a while. Then you might actually begin to see the light around you.

          • denniso

First of all, ‘progressives’ don’t ‘believe that gov’t is the solution to all our problems’…they believe there is a suitable role for gov’t as a sort of referee to ensure a functioning/fair/safe society for most people and as an entity made up,amazingly, of actual Americans to keep giant biz from victimizing us Americans and the environment, upon which we all depend for all we have.

Secondly, you scream about ‘socialism’ and what ‘socialist country might have done as well as us? You people spout that this country has essentially been socialistic since the Fed Reserve, social security, medicare and welfare programs were instituted. Well, w/ all those ‘evil’ and ‘socialistic’ programs in place we produced the largest middle class and the greatest wealth in the history of the world. Socialism, anyone??

The Democrats Are Getting Ready To Cut Social Security and Medicare
    February 28, 2010 – 11:51 pm

Barack Obama and the Far Left Democrats have racked up future dept faster and more efficiently than at any time in history.

We ask where will our Federal government find all the money to pay for Obama is spending? We unfortunately know the answer – the money will come from increased taxes, printing money, and from confiscating money.

Money confiscation began with ObamaCare. A total of $500 billion would be taken from Medicare and transferred to pay for ObamaCare. This massive confiscation and transfer of health care dollars would result in the large-scale denial of health care services for Medicare recipients. In addition, on Monday 01 March, Medicare reimbursements will be cut by a hefty 21.2%

      JeffH…NOT TRUE!!!!!

  • Phil

In a nutshell, you conservatives are supporting the Bush tax cuts to the Top 2% so they can pay between 15 and 16.6 % in taxes , and we( middleclass) pay between 33.3 and 35%…. and you wonder why Liberals like me think you’re stupid?

    • Raggs

Oh I get it…. you my be a progressive if you believe the middleclass needs to depend on the government.

      • Raggs

        you may…lol a typo

      • eyeswideopen

Raggs, why do you think that middleclass should pay more than their fair share of taxes? Why do you hate the middleclass? 2/3 of our corporations don’t pay any taxes at all, how do you justify that?

        • DaveH

Another false remark by EyesWideShut. Let’s see, if the “middle” class is between 25% and 75% of wage earners, and the top 25% of wage earners pays 86% of the total income taxes, that leaves only 14% (at most) of the total taxes paid by the middle class:
          http://www.ntu.org/tax-basics/who-pays-income-taxes.html

Listen to EyesWideShut and drive even more companies out of America.

        • Vicki

eyeswideopen why do you believe that Corporations pay ANY taxes? Do you think that they are like people who work and trade time for money that the government than takes in taxes? Corporations are business entities not people. They sell products. The people who purchase those products pay any and ALL taxes that a government tries to charge a corporation. Thus you see the taxes are paid by people not corporations.

    • jim

Phil, Why do you think taking money that those 2% would use to create buisnesses and there for jobs for use middle class is so good I would rather get their money in a paycheck, instead of in a round about way in a government program.I think it’s just your lack of common sense and inability to listen to reason, that gives you the misguided thought that people like me are stupid.

They desire to control the lives of others, and they despise freedom based on ownership and personal responsibility. They believe that all power must begin and end with them. The United States remains the greatest obstacle to their dreams of World dominance.

Some Liberals who engage in discussions and debates say that they too love the United States of America. What America is it that they love? I fear it is a United States that they fantasize the Liberal Elite, with their superior intellect and wisdom, will raise from the ashes and rebuild in their own warped image.”

There is much evidence that Barack Obama does not love, respect, or intend to properly care for the United States of America that I know and love. Many have documented their concerns about the love and respect Barack Obama does not express for our nation. A few are listed here.

Dr. Thomas Sowell eloquently summarized Barack Obama and his feelings toward our beloved nation:

Nothing so epitomizes President Obama’s own contempt for American values and traditions as trying to ram two bills through Congress in his first year — each bill more than a thousand pages long — too fast for either of them to be read, much less discussed. That he succeeded only the first time says that some people are starting to wake up. Whether enough people will wake up in time to keep America from being dismantled, piece by piece, is another question — and the biggest question for this generation.

I do not recall having heard Barack Obama claim that he loves the United States of America. I also do not recall having heard Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, or any of the White House Czars having ever said they love the United States of America.

The absence of love is hate.

Obama and his ‘self elected cronies’ are jamming everything up our throats and we are allowing it.
I just read that Benjamin Franklin was the first American hero to initiate the first American militia.
Where are our present Americans who are in disagreement with the distruction of our country?
Why haven’t we heard of an organization to sign up to and to take actions to impeach Oba and
his cronies and put them in prison? They have violated our constitituion and we have seen it.
Oba didn’t even as much as put his hand in his heart at the recital of the Allegiance to the
American Flag! He bowed down to the middle eastern king! He has given positions to people
who should be investigated and put in prison. He has endoresed ideas that are contrary to to
our constitiution. He has made a mockery of our country. He has squandered our tax money
and he wants to provide healthcare and financial assistance to illegal aliens! Meantime, very
little is being exported and everything that we consume is being imported from other countries
who are getting richer and we are getting poorer! What on God’s good earth are we to expect?
He has been borrowing money from all over the world….and giving money to crooks.
Have we gone crazy? Can’t we stop this insanity? Please, Dear Lord, Deliver us from the
hands of our enemies and do justice. Please…In Jesus Name. Amen.

So in a time of war, Bush gave the top 2% huge tax cuts and wentout and borrowed souch money from the Chinese with interest that it bankrupt our country … Deregulated the mortage industry, banks and lenders and they took advantage of the situation and gave out loans they knew people couldn’t pay… Nothing Clinton authorized gave these mortage, banks and finance companys the right to break the law… Do o blame Clinton for allowing republicans to deregulate?.. Yes.. But not criminally.. It was the lenders broke the law

    • George E.

      Phil,

If you believe the lenders broke the law, then doesn’t it follow that there was at least one law in effect to govern these transactions? Why were additional laws or regulations needed? Could it have been that oversight was lacking, not additional regulations?

    • DaveH

OMG, more of the same old crap from the Liberal Phil. Have you gone senile, Phil? Repeating yourself, over and over, ad nauseum? And why do you keep spewing that crap about deregulation? Government is bigger than ever and you think there is deregulation? Get a clue!
      http://reason.org/news/printer/the-myth-of-financial-deregula

      • john t.

no, there is degeneration in our big government not deregulation. the greater than though thinking democrats have made our government the laughing stock in the eyes of the world. a lot of your comments and a good part more of the others are supernaturally off the wall and needs to be trashed, like rhetoric from the past. lets face it the majority of politicians are corrupt in both party’s democratic and republican alike. and the only way to flush them out is to give big gov. a thorough enema.

Jeff H.;Some of us “liberals” don’t like being ripped off by private healthcare plans, mortgage giants, and financial scammers. The same companies that conservatives have supported and fawned over for decades. We aren’t attacking the USA and especially freedom of speech. We are going after the swine in high corporate places. So maybe you are the one who is supporting the facist terrorists with your right wing garbage defending these corporate elite. That was Mussolini’s way of dealing with Italy and they paid a terrible price..

    • JeffH

It’s not called attacking, it is called destroying, a big differance.

    • jim

Hi eddie, If you believe you are being ripped off by a corporation, you can boycott them or refuse to buy their product. You can’t boycott a run rampant corupt government.

    • AnhydrousBob

Actually Mussolini went after the Swine in High Corporate places, and regulated them, just like you say you want to do. Fascism is gov’t control of the private industry.

    • DaveH

Then, Eddie, don’t buy their plans, and don’t borrow their money.
Better yet, why don’t you just get together with your fellow Liberals and start your own companies. You can give away your services to your heart’s desire. And when you go broke, you can walk away with a valuable lesson in life. Put your money where your mouth is.

      • JeffH

DaveH, that would be too easy. Why wouldn’t he be able to figure that out on his own? I know why, because he has to let someone else do his thinking for him! Just follow the bouncing ball…

    • Vicki

Eddie did someone point a gun at your head and force you to buy their healthcare? Did someone threaten to break your arm if you didn’t buy their product? Then why are you mad at them.

Now if Obama’s healthcare passes you will have government agents pointing a gun at your head and you will be forced to buy their healthcare. Not a pretty sight.

      • Harold Olsen

And don’t forget, if Obamacare passes, anyone who doesn’t have a healthcare plan–that is, a government approved healthcare plan–will be levied a stiff fine. If that fine is not paid, you’ll get a five year vacation in prison. Oh, and this Obamacare is meant to help the poor and middle class, who mostly don’t have a healthcare plan because they can’t afford one–like me–which means they won’t be able to afford to pay the fine. And I don’t want a government run healthcare plan. Why would I want a healthcare plan run by the government? The government can’t even run the government.

  • Rennie

Put aside all the extremist crazy talk, simply go vote Nov. 2nd. Don’t let either dems or reps claim a monopoly or mandate for their agenda, put the fear of the electorate into them. Don’t let them seek endorsement from the TEA party, haven them endorse whoever the local TEA party picks. You can’t tell me we don’t have plenty of Americans, of any race, sex, background, etc. who would do any worse in elected office than the clowns we have in their now. We need term limits. And we need to respond to the Obamacare they are trying to administer to us by anal suppository by saying any less in quality than what we are giving our elected leaders, is insufficient. Or they should lower the quality of healthcare we are supplying them. I can think of no greater hypocricy than the treatment Teddy Kennedy was being given despite his terminal diagnosis, why didn’t they just give him a pain pill? It is time to give these crooks their walking papers, and then maybe we can have impartial hearings on real outrages, like the global warming/cap and trade hoax and the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac fiasco which helped precipitate the current financial crisis. Allowing the discussion to become dems vs. reps is just a tactical diversion that has been working too well for the elected elite for the last century. If either party is to have a future, they need more input from members on who gets nominated, no more powerful few selecting who our choices will be.

  • Phil

So, Arlean… You saying it was Obama who borrowed all the money from China?… Lol… You should say one of those prayers for yourself… The Iraq war was paid for how!?..

  • Keith H

Imperializm is a form of capitalizm that gives the elites power and control over us, which means it gives them privilege or an atvantage over most of the population. In order for them to maintain an advantage over us, it requires a unfair corrupt system, the more wealth that is distributed equally across the planet, reduces violence which means what ever benefits the people, doesen’t benefits the elites, and that means imperializm looses it’s unfair advantage and power over the world.Since the elites are obsessed with power and control, they will always justify, a unfair, unbalanced, distribution of wealth to be able to oppress the population.

    • George E.

      Keith,

Sounds to me like you’ve really bought into the socialist theory of government. I think if you’ll study the history of socialist style governments throughout history, you’ll find that they have never been able to create as much wealth for their populations as have true capitalist style governments. Yes, capitalist countries generally have a wider distribution of wealth than socialist countries, but capitalist countries tend to have fewer and wealthier poor people, as a percentage of the population, than socialist countries. Properly managed, capitalism creates more wealth than socialism, and more people benefit from this wealth than they do under socialism.

      • DaveH

It’s so nice to hear coherent comments from intelligent people. Thank you, George.

        • George E.

Thanks Dave. I appreciate the comment.

        • George E.

Isn’t it amazing how intelligent people buy into the idea that socialism is better than capitalism? Just demonstrates to me how badly our public education system is working for us……

          • Harold Olsen

The really sad thing is that many of the Americans who like socialism actually believe that socialism is the same as democracy.

          • George E.

            Harold,

That’s the problem with democracy. People can vote for anything, and the majority rules. Hitler was voted into office by a democratic vote, and so was Hugo Chavez, but their governments were socialist. The U.S.A. is supposed to be a constitutional republic so this sort of thing shouldn’t happen easily. However, “progressives” have successfully changed our laws and culture over the past 100 years such that we are probably more vulnerable to dictatorial socialist takeover than in the past. Very sad, indeed.

Wasn’t it 14 times Bush and republicans used reconciliation?.. Bush shoved his tax cuts to the rich down our throats, Bush went around the FISA court to do his illegal wiretaps… The Patrioat act… Torturing prisoners…waterboarding is torture inost countrys… In all out allies countrys…

    • eyeswideopen

      Phil, it was 16 times.

    • jim

Phil, In another post it says 16 times. Was reconsiliation used to get the patriot act voted into law? It was voted into law by congress(both parties). Did Bush SHOVE tax cuts down our throats, or again was it voted in by congress. Was reconciliation used to get torture(your word, not mine)? Is waterboarding REALLY torture? If it gets information to save U.S. lives( maybe even your sniviling little ingrate butt) I’m OK with it.

      • Common Cents

Kent Conrad said today that the reconciliation is not meant for this type of legislation. It was meant as a last ditch effort to approve legislation covering deficit spending not for taking over 1/5 of the economy. Bush’s proposals were chicken feed and actually were done in the context of two party approval. Not the in your face totalitarian tactics used by this marxist regime.

    • George E.

      Phil,

I believe any legislation as important as healthcare reform needs to be supported by a strong majority in Congress and across the American population at large. Currently, the legislation being pushed by Democrats does not meet this objective. According to polls, a majority of the American people do not favor this legislation. If the Democrats do find a way to get it passed into law, it will be without any Republican support and with a very slim majority of Democrat votes. This legislation is too important to be created and passed the way this one has. I don’t think citizens will reward Democrats with votes this November if they push this legislation into law. Worse yet for Democrats, Republicans will interpret their election win when they retake control of Congress as a mandate to roll back the Democrat bill. This whole process is a huge waste of time and aggravation. If Democrats had just included Republicans in the process from the beginning, and not insisted on government controlled healthcare, they could have gotten a bipartisan bill.

Those who study the Bible know that we are living in the last days. Every major last days’ trend anticipated in the Bible is being positioned in place. Like a tsunami that sweeps the
globe, developments in Bible prophecy are overwhelming and irrefutable. During the Olivet Discourse, Jesus listed several last days’ signs and then summarized: “So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near – at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things
take place” (Matthew 24:33-34). In other words, once we see all the signs coming into focus, we should expect the climax of these events within one generation. Many differ in their opinion on what is meant by a generation (40 or 70 or 120 years have been proposed),
and what exactly is the trigger point (the rebirth of Israel in 1948, or the regaining of the control of Jerusalem in 1967, or when all signs are in place). However, the clear exhortation given by Jesus repeatedly is that we should be awake and looking up eagerly expecting our Lord’s return at any moment.

Here is a list of some of the major Biblical last days’ trends – all of which are in place
    today:
    1) Wide-spread deception in Christ’s name (Matthew 24:4-5; 11; 24-26; 2 Thessalonians 2; 2 Peter 2:1-3; etc.)
    2) Global communications foreseen (Revelation 11:9-10; 17:8).
    3) A global cry for peace (1 Thessalonians 5:3).
    4) Chaotic weather prevalent (Luke 21:25-26).
    5) A move toward a global government (Daniel 2:40-44; 7:23; Revelation 13:7-8).
    6) Technology capable of tracking the world’s population (Revelation 13:16-17).
    7) Israel regathered into their nation after being dispersed for nearly two millennia (Isaiah 11:11-12; 43:5-6; 66:8; Jeremiah 31:7-10; Ezekiel 37:21-22; 38:8).
    8) Jerusalem a burdensome stone to all nations (Zechariah 12:2-3).
    9) Israel prospering economically (Ezekiel 38:12-13).
    10) Preparations to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem (Daniel 9:27; 12:11; Mark 13:14; Revelation 11:1-2).
    11) Russia, Iran and other countries rising as military powers and preparing a surprise attack on Israel (Ezekiel 38).
    12) Anti-Semitism worldwide increasing (Deuteronomy 28:37; Jeremiah 29:18; 44:8).
    13) Homosexuality flaunted (Luke 17:28-30; Genesis 19; Jude 1:7).
    14) A move toward a global religion (Revelation 13:8; Revelation 17).
    15) Lawlessness abounding (Matthew 24:12; Revelation 9:21).
    16) Babylon reemerging on the world scene (Zechariah 5:11; Isaiah 13; Revelation 17-19).
    17) Increased interest in the occult, witchcraft, and sorceries (Revelation 9:21; 18:23; 21:8; Isaiah 47:9-15; Micah 5:10-15).
    18) The kings of the East rising (Revelation 9:14-16; 16:12).
There are many more last days’ signs that appear to be culminating before our very eyes. Therefore, all indications are that delivery must also be fast approaching. Whether time is actually speeding up, or whether our perception is the result of these birth pangs increasing, we cannot be certain. One thing is for sure, the Bible is true and the Lord’s return is near.
Therefore, the most important question for each of us to answer is “Do we know the Lord?” “Are we prepared to meet our Creator?”

The wonderful news is that our Creator, the Lord Jesus Christ, became a man and died for our sins. Jesus never sinned yet He willingly and in love died in our place. He paid for all our sins on the cross and then rose from the grave, defeating death! All who repent(turn) from their sins and trust Jesus as Lord and Savior will be saved. Time is short. Please do not wait. Place your trust in Jesus Christ as Creator, Lord and Savior today before your soul is lost forever!
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. James 4:14

Certainly your best and most relevant PLD to date that, when conflated with “The Daily Bell”, “American Patriot Friends Network” (www.apfn.net), and other enlightened Internet sites, will awaken a critical mass of sleeping sheeple by helping to turn them into true open-minded, clear-thinking, freedom-loving patriots. However, after reviewing all PLD reader comments/replies, there appears to be a definite lack of understanding regarding the rapidly changing kaleidoscope of the North American/ Social Political Economic Existential Knowledge-based Ethical or NA/SPEEKE reality. In my considered analysis, most of this big picture misunderstanding occurs within the pseudo patriotic group known as Tea Baggers; i.e., 25% of the American electorate who are white, racist, homophobic, xenophobic, statist, ignorant, war-mongering, crusading, fundamentalist evangelical christian extremists (acronym!), conservative/neocon republican males who get their misinformation/disinformation from the Fox Noise and Palin/Beck/Limbaugh/Etc. crowd. To those few Tea Baggers who can handle the truth, suggest you view/listen to these DVDs; “Network”, “Manufacturing Consent”, “V for Vendetta”, “Zeitgeist”, “Zeitgeist Addendum”; go to a movie theater for “Avatar” and “Edge of Darkness”; read both stories in today’s Bell: “[Global] Power Elite Losing America” and “Central Banks/[FED] Can’t Stop Global Unraveling”. And remember this, the NWO/GPE and their Amero-Israeli War Machine are getting ready to attack Iran and start yet another war in the Middle East (read “War is a Racket” by Gen. Smedley Butler, USMC). There was a time, just before 2000 when our national budget was in balance and the future seemed bright. BUT! Along came George
(W)armonger Bush, who lied us into a most unnecessary war with Iraq, and the nation’s financial hole grew to between 10 and 12 trillions of dollars. We also owe thanks for this disaster to the then ‘rubber stamping spend thrift’ Republican controlled Congress! It never ceases to amaze me how today these very same Republicans have now become the champions of fiscal responsibility!
It was said of Hitler, by Fritz Thyssen: “….The German people will experience a great disillusionment with its god, Hitler, who has made war not by reason…(but by filling the populace with an anxiety which bordered on absolute fiction not truth)…Hitler believed he could impress the German people with his attack on Poland and so force them to renewed admiration of their god.” —————————— “I paid Hitler”, by Fritz Thyssen, Farrar & Rhinehart, NY, 1941 ——
Fast forwarding to the advent of the appointment of George
W(armonger) Bush to the presidency in 2000, in a 5/4 decision by the then Rehnquist Court. Does any of this “ring a bell”? 2000 was the year that a mockery was made of all that America stood for. A mockery is indicative of the fact that ‘something’ is about to be treated with ridicule and/or contempt! To wit the American people were so treated by Bush/Cheney et al.
Coming back to 2008-2009, when Bernanke and the Federal Reserve were busy inking and oiling the printing presses which started to roll out trillions of worthless pieces of paper backed mostly by hot air, which apparently is the only answer the Fed, and Bernanke have for what ails the nation. Just like our Fed today, Germany, after WWI, had a kind of printing press currency that came to be known as federgeld – feather money! America seems to be stumbling into the same mine fields. Incidentally, Bernanke is a product of George W. Bush!
Once upon a time the dollar was backed by gold! It was real money even when it was backed by silver.
Wake up America it is almost too late! Your children’s future is very much at stake.

Hi Denniso, All the supreme court did was after the 6th recount said that was it. After all the recounts and it was still Bush they said that was it. Bush won the Electoral vote, fair and square, get over it. 9 years of telling the same lie won’t change the TRUTH. The terrorists that attacked the U.S. on Sept 11 2001 were in this country 14 months prior to the attack. The 9th month of Bush’s term. I wonder what Clinton did to make those terrorists so mad at us. 9-11 was a big hit on the economy and it started to grow back(under those 2 criminals as YOU call them.) In 2006 the economy was growing, the unemloyment rate was 4.4% and the markets were higher than ever. After 3 years of Peosi& Ried, and a year of a Dem monopoly unemloyment is at 10% and the markets are down. Yes Denniso alot of use do know who did this. Now get big government out of the way and let the ADULT free market get to work cleaning this mess up.

Blogger 141 ; I agree that the building process has to be speeded up. You have to understand though that we have public hearings to know what’s going on in our neighborhoods. We also have a permit system so buildings are built to standards.(think Haiti). That’s good for democracy.

  • eddie47d

Dave H.; You want to just abolish the IRS? You really think people will send in taxes on their own. I doubt it. Maybe we have a nanny state because cheating on your taxes is a national passtime. There’s a loophole for everyone! Sometimes cutting taxes works and sometimes it just buys the wealthy a new house. Sometimes big govt. works and sometimes it’s a big failure. It goes both ways. Your National Taxpayer web site is full of glaring errors, numbers don’t mean anything if they are that hokey!

    • George E.

      Eddie,

The IRS code is very complicated and filled with “loop holes”, as you say. We spend a lot of money trying to figure out how much we owe in taxes, and the IRS spends a lot of money collecting those taxes. This is money that might be put to more productive use, helping to grow our economy if we could find a simpler, more efficient method of collecting taxes.

The two proposals that I’m aware of that address this issue are 1) the flat tax, and 2) a consumption tax. The flat tax would require everyone to pay a fixed percentage of their income to the IRS, with no deductions. This would be simpler, but would still be an income tax and the code would be subject to modification over time that could eventually complicate it just like the tax code we currently have.

A consumption tax would be like a sales tax that would be paid to the seller each time a product (or possibly service) was purchased. The seller would be responsible for collecting this money and sending it to the IRS like businesses send sales tax revenue collected today to the respective states. To me, this seems like the simplest of methods because it would eliminate the “income” tax altogether and the massive code that goes with it. It would also eliminate the cost of compliance with the current code, both on the Payer’s and the IRS’s side. Also, it would be a voluntary tax in that you have a choice of buying a product/service or not. The current income tax is said to be voluntary, but you really only have a choice of paying or going to prison. So, if we adopted a consumption tax in place of the current income tax, we should not need the IRS in the form it is today. A much smaller organization should be able to manage the collection of tax revenue under that program, I think.

Quite a sentiment. Perhaps true to a point too. BUT I do not believe it’s wise to advocate someone’s death. If anything they should be sent home in shame and stripped of their life long benefits. But hang them? Not unless they can be convicted of High Treason in a court of justice. Maybe we should actually strip the Supreme Court and it’s “socialist interpretations” of the Constitution of it’s powers as well. I think that would actually be a better place to start.

So, ‘Patriot’ is just another wacko threatening death on elected reps of the people…seems like he is the actual traitor who should be in jail for making threats.
J C…you say the ‘socialist interpretations by thr Supreme Court’…do you mean the very court that put Cheny/Bush in office in 2000??

        • JC

No I mean “just plain” the Supreme Court. The one that helped bring in the The Income Tax, the one that creates laws “loosely based” on something that once resembled our country’s Constitution.
I don’t give a Flying Rats’ A** about Bush / Cheney or your precious Halfrican Communist. The Supreme Court itself needs a major overhaul.
          Like the rest of DC.
          I’m just not advocating violence.

          • denniso

J C…you’re sounding a little extreme. You think Obama is a communist and the Supreme Court as well?? Most of the Court was appointed by Repubs, hardly communists themselves. What would you do to get a more ‘conservative’ court, have the skinheads screen them?
I wish more of the hotheads here would disavow violence as well and even the crude languague of threats and violence…it’s not very productive,is it…

          • truth

JC, not advocating violence? bullshit your kind of namecalling hate rambling spittle advocates violence, whether you say the words or not.

          • denniso

You can’t take a little debate??? Losing your cool?

    • George E.

      Patriot,

Colorful. Sounds like a story line that Hollywood might make into a movie. I recommend we stick to doing business within the confines of the system that our forefathers provided us in the Constitution, for now. Let’s not resort to violence and threats, especially not until all else has been tried and failed. I hope we’re not at that point yet. However, I will admit the trend has been disturbing.

  • Barney Murrell

Those who support a “conservative agenda” and other nonsense on this site should take note of what a conservative agenda really is. Wealthy conservatives use control of government to redistribute income upwards while performing the remarkable feat of convincing many naive citizens that “government is the problem” (Reagan, 1-20-1981), and that those programs beneficial to middle-class Americans are “socialist,” or worse.

And “trickle up” economics has worked quite well. See “Wealth Disparities in U.S. Approaching 1920s Levels,” http://seekingalpha.com/article/189649-wealth-disparities-in-u-s-approaching-1920s-levels?source=article_sb_popular. And IRS data, “The 400 Individual Income Tax Returns Reporting Highest AGI… 1992-2007,” http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-soi/07intop400.pdf.”

Despite all of America’s wars, construction of the interstate highway system, and the cost of placing men on the moon, the American national debt was less than $1 trillion prior to conservative Ronald Reagan winning the 1980 presidential election. After which Reagan instituted a policy that accumulated ever greater debt by intentionally providing too little tax revenue (defense spending & tax cuts) to pay the cost of government which – by any definition – amounts to purposeful bankruptcy.

Government reduction by revenue reduction is known in conservative economics as “Starve the Beast;” which indicates just how low and dangerous conservative efforts to kill New Deal programs for average Americans have become. Conservatives Grover Norquist (Americans for Tax Reform) and Milton Friedman (economist) have both advocated tax cuts to bankrupt America in order to keep down government spending beneficial to the lower economic classes – who make up the bulk of American military personal.

A 12/28/04 libertarian Cato Institute article (www.cato.org/dailys/12-28-04.html) defines the crux of Norquist’s idea of purposely creating deficits when it stated: “Tax hawks like Grover Norquist, of Americans for Tax Reform, maintain that we should “starve the beast”: create pressure on Congress to reduce spending by cutting the government’s intake of taxes and running up deficits. This is the approach prescribed last year by Milton Friedman and Gary Becker, both Nobel Prize-winning free-market economists, in separate Wall Street Journal op-eds.”

    • George E.

      Barney,

I want to congratulate you on the thoughtful input. Obviously, you’ve spent a lot of time thinking through and researching these issues. Unfortunately, I can’t agree with most of your conclusions, but don’t have the time right now to provide you with equally thoughtful reasons. Maybe another conservative/libertarian on this board will be courteous and helpful in this regard. Have a nice day.

      • denniso

It has been the strategy of some ‘conservatives’(really extremist anti-gov’t types)to wreck the gov’t and most gov’t programs to the point where the common person then loses confidence in gov’t and turns against it as incompetent. Those ‘conservatives’ are willing to wreck the country and many people in the process to get what they want. Sad and pathetic and traitorous…

    • blackhat

Where to begin? Well, let’s just start by reminding Barney that rewriting history is a very easy way to “prove” any point. The Regan tax cuts increased revenue to the fed. Period. Yes, congress did increase spending way too much, but the tax cuts almost double tax receipts during the Regan administration. Trickle up? Ohh, take money from producers and give it to non-producers. Good plan. Ever work for a poor guy? Deficit spending just should not be allowed. Unfortunately for libs that means that “mean spirited” people who work get to keep what they earn, send their kids to better schools, and generally have a better quality of life to give to their families. But, screw ‘em. Their neighbor bought a house they could not afford, did not plan for the future and did not take advantage of the opportunities this great country offers through freedom. So, in the lib mindset, the guy next door should send his kids to an inferior college, not take his family out to eat this week and forego buying a new car this year so he can afford the money the govt takes to bail out his neighbor. But, like I said screw ‘em! After all, it’s only “fair”.

      • denniso

Same old garbage…’producers vs non-producers’, rich, poor, black, white…simplistic as hell. Every person in the country adds to ‘production’. Have you never seen a ‘poor’ person buy goods and services from ‘producers’? Food, gasoline, heating oil, cars, clothing…does anyone have a job connected to these purchases?
Can you try to understand this simple lesson in econ 101 before you show your lack of education again???

        • blackhat

Whatever, I see “non-producers” pick up their govt check everyday and buy from producers…do you live in a society that allows you to walk into any store and walk out without paying? Why don’t you think before opening up your pie hole?

          • denniso

You think that all people who get something like food stamps don’t work?? There are millions of underpaid workers who can’t afford to feed their kids, so some get gov’t help for the sake of the children. Most do work and therefore, are producers as well. Food stamps are pretty minimal. Do you rant about the billions in subsidies that go to large corporate farms and ranches and military suppliers?? No,you don’t, because you’re a hypocrite.

          • blackhat

Who’s being a hypocrite now? Food stamps were the product of labor from someone other than the person that used them. But, I suppose you are to frail of mind to grasp that concept. Farm subsidies…hmmm…yeah, lets make sure the farms go out of business. What would you buy in the supermarket with your food stamps, moron. Military contractors? Okay, let’s just imagine a world with an underarmed US. You are a silly man.

          • denniso

You’re willing to pay for subsidies for giant agribusiness and military contractors,to the tune of hundreds of billions, but you think it’s moral and Christian and OK to let people and kids starve in this country? That is the definition of most rightwingers…cheap a*ses when it comes to helping regular people but more than generous to corporations and the military…sad.

        • Hello?

You are right Denniso, everyone adds to thye economy in this country, some are spending their hard earned money and others are spending your hard earned money in a lifetime of retirement at your expense but I am sure you don’t mind making all those donations. The large corporations are working people for minimum wage and training their empoyees how to get welfare because they can’t live on what they are paying them, tharefore the large corporations are running to the bank with their billions while the tax payers are feeding their employees with welfare. Like I said , I am sure you don’t mind making all those donations unless you are one of the rcipients.

          • denniso

It sounds like you agree w/ me on the behaviour of some of the largest corporations, like Walmart. W/o labor regs and actual living wage laws corporations tend to go down to the lowest salaries possible, unless the economy is always booming, which of course it isn’t. When they can get away w/ it they pay the lowest possible wages, which is what business is supposed to do..maximize profits. So we have to have min wage laws, child labor laws and overtime and safety laws. Corps are in biz to make money, nothing more.

    The Dinner Roll ..

Once upon a time I was invited to the White House for a private dinner with the President.

I am a respected businessman, with a factory that produces memory chips for computers and portable electronics.

There was some talk that my industry was being scrutinized by the administration, but I paid it no mind. I live in a FREE country. There’s nothing that the government can do to me if I’ve broken no laws. My wealth was EARNED honestly, and an invitation to dinner with an American President is an honor.

I checked my coat, was greeted by the Chief of Staff, and joined the President in a yellow dining room.

We sat across from each other at a table draped in white linen. The Great Seal was embossed on the china. Uniformed staff served our dinner.

The meal was served, and I was startled when my waiter suddenly reached out, plucked a dinner roll off my plate and began nibbling it as he walked back to the kitchen..

“Sorry ’bout that,” said the President. “Andrew is very hungry.”

“I don’t appreciate…” I began, but as I looked into the calm brown eyes across from me, I felt immediately guilty and petty. It was just a dinner roll. “Of course,” I concluded, and reached for my glass.

Before I could, however, another waiter reached forward, took the glass away and swallowed the wine in a single gulp. “And his brother, Eric, is very thirsty,” said the President.

I didn’t say anything. The President is testing my compassion, I thought. I withheld my comments and decided to play along. I don’t want to seem unkind..

My plate was whisked away before I had tasted a bite.

“Eric’s children are also quite hungry.”

With a lurch, I crashed to the floor. My chair had been pulled out from under me.

I stood, brushing myself off angrily, and watched as it was carried from the room.

And their grandmother can’t stand for long.”

I excused myself, smiling outwardly, but inside feeling like a fool. Obviously I had been invited to the White House to be sport for some game. I reached for my coat, to find that it had been taken.

I turned back to the President.

“Their grandfather doesn’t like the cold.”

I wanted to shout, “that was my coat!” But again, I looked at the placid smiling face of my host and decided I was being a poor sport. I spread my hands helplessly and chuckled.

Then I felt my hip pocket and realized my wallet was gone. I excused myself and walked to a phone on an elegant side table.

I learned shortly that my credit cards had been maxed out, my bank accounts emptied, my retirement and equity portfolios had vanished, and my wife had been thrown out of our home.

Apparently, the waiters and their families were moving in. The President hadn’t moved or spoken as I learned all this, but finally I lowered the phone into its cradle and turned to face him.

“Andrew’s whole family has made bad financial decisions. They haven’t planned for retirement and they need a house. They recently defaulted on a subprime mortgage. I told them they could have your home. They need it more than you do.”

My hands were shaking. I felt faint I stumbled back to the table and knelt on the floor.

The President cheerfully cut his meat, ate his steak, and drank his wine. I lowered my eyes and stared at the small grey circles on the tablecloth that were water drops.

“By the way,” he added, “I have just signed an Executive Order nationalizing your factories.

I’m firing you as head of your business. I’ll be operating the firm now for the benefit of all mankind.

There’s a whole bunch of Erics and Andrews out there and they can’t come to you for jobs groveling like beggars…we need to spread YOUR wealth around…”

I looked up. The President dropped his spoon into the empty ramekin which had been his crème Brule.

He drained the last drops of his wine. As the table was cleared, he lit a cigarette and leaned back in his chair.

He stared at me. I clung to the edge of the table as if it were a ledge and I were a man hanging over an abyss.

I thought of the years behind me, of the life I had lived. The life I had earned with a lifetime of work, risk and struggle.

Why was I punished? How had I allowed it to be taken? What game had I played and lost? I looked across the table and noticed with some surprise that there was no game board between us.

    What had I done wrong?

As if answering the unspoken thought, President Obama suddenly cocked his head, locked his empty eyes to mine, and bared a million teeth, chuckling wryly as he folded his hands.

“You should have stopped me at the dinner roll,” he said.

    WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

    • denniso

Clever, clever…the only problem with your little skit is that it’s exageration and hyperbole, which works w/ children, but not adults w/ a brain. The wealthy in this country pay more in taxes but much less in the percentage of disposable income…that income left over after spending what it takes to stay alive just to be able to work. And,there are no wealthy people who are reduced to anything near poverty or average income by the higher rate they pay. Someone like Bill Gates or Warren Buffet actually say that they should have to pay more in taxes to have a more fair system. If Gates earns 100 million/year and paid 35%(which he doesn’t because of large deductions and loopholes), he would still be left w/ 65 million/year..
I wonder if he could afford to buy a chair or dinner roll w/ that amount?
The wealthy don’t make their fortunes in a vacuum or all by themselves…the country’s infrastructure, education system, highways, military, all paid for by taxpayers, contribute to their ability to make money…the wealth doesn’t magically appear by the work of the one individual, instead dozzens or thousands of workers, educated mostly in the publicly funded schools do the majority of the work that generates the $$.

Your attempt at making common working people feel pity for the well off is silly and absurd at best and downright stupid at worst.

    • JC

What an excellent story. Its concise, to the point and draws quickly to some obvious conclusions. The power unchecked will run rampant and corrupt, using humanitarianism as its “bullet proof” shield to hide behind as it commits extortion and blatant theft.

      Nice job.

The question that naturally follows though isn’t covered in the story…And that would be: What happens when they run out of businessmen to fleece?

  • Joe

1% of the population (GOP, big business, CEO’s CFO’s, COO,’s who make millions want tghis country to be Haiti, where only 1% of the population controls the money while the lower class (anyone not a millionaire) live in poverty. If Palin, Bush, Cheyney, GOP reps in the House and Senate), McCain and other Republicans taking money from corporations have their way, that is what America will become. Where were all the Tea Party members when gasoline was $4.00 a gallon?

    • denniso

Excellent point…gas hit more than $4/gal and small biz’s were struggling w/ fuel costs and working people were under severe strain…where were the ranting and threatening tea partiers???I think I know, they were on the side of Exxon and Chevron and the other record setting profiteers, not on the side of the people. Hypocrital and lying at the same time.

      • jim

When gas was at $4 a gal. the TEA party movement hadn’t started yet. Your comment about the being hypicritical and lying is unfounded and pretty much desperate grasping at straws to try to discredit good people with YOUR LIES, because you can’t truthfully refute their ideas.

        • denniso

Geez!! how can you miss the point so easily? Did the tea party people drop down from space? Were the same people here while all the crap of the Bush times was going on,like over $4/gal gas? The point is,these shouting and violence threatening people blaming Obama WERE around and passively watching the abuses of Cheny/Bush, BECAUSE THEY WERE LOYAL TO THE REPUB PARTY and their hapless leader. Now,w/ a Dem in office, suddenly they come out of the woodwork and spread hate and fear and work against the efforts to fix the crash and mess that all started under, who?? That’s right, Cheny/ Bush!!!! That’s how you define hypocrisy…Simple enough?

          • jim

Started under who? you ask? PELOSI& REID. In 06 the unemployment rate was at 4.4% and the stock market at an all time high. 3 years of Dem congress and a year of a Dem monopoly and where are we? SIMPLE ENOUGH? The TEA party movment is for not raising taxes( were,nt raised under Bush) a balanced budget,( many did speak up), and less intrusive and more responsible government( not Obamas style). Why are you so against not raiseing taxes, more resposible use of our tax dollars and not so wreaklessly raising the defecit? Bush did, we didn’t like it then, so why is it so good when Obama does it? These people don’t want anything that is unreasonable, but because they disagree with the guy you support you just slam your mind shut and try to think of ways to critisize no matter how lame it is. You claim they had a blind loyalty to a party and Bush so they didn’t say anything. How you get so defencive when someone points out what Obama is doing wrong, I just wonder if their isn’t some of that blind loyalty going on in your house. I know when it comes to one man you have BLIND HATE down pat. That is the definition of hypocrisy SIMPLE ENOUGH?

          • blackhat

Good try Jim…but, I think the O after dennis is for obama. And, we all know how the oman listens to others…

          • denniso

The Dems took over congress in ’06,true..Bush was still in office and the congress didn’t and can’t do much of anything w/o the prez’s signature. There were no big Dem bills passed in the final 2 yrs of Bush’s term.
The crash in fact started under Bush, who had instructed the SEC to lay off the financial industry and let the market regulate itself.Madoff, for instance, was allowed to run lose for the whole 8 yrs of Bush.
I’m not opposed to not raising taxes…but it’s a fact that we have taxes and a fact that the wealthy pay more(and should pay more)because they make and control the vast majority of income in the country. Working people can’t afford to pay more in taxes and Bush did cut taxes on the wealthiest,to the tune of a trillion $$,so if we need to raise $$ in taxes then the wealthiest should bear the burden.

The wealthy pay a tiny percentage in taxes on their disposable income compared to the working class and the poor. The tax system and income distribution in our country have become more and more unfair, and shouldn’t we have a fair system after all? Don’t we want people to believe in the system that they are a part of? The ‘free market’ left alone trends to such extremes as we see now, where the top 1% have something like 50% of the income. If you think, like most ‘conservatives’ and tea partiers do, that the ‘market works everything out perfectly, then we’re hopelessly at odds.

          • jim

Denniso, If you think the wise, kind and benevolent “uncle” BIG government is the answer and your friend, you are way out of touch. I would put my trust in a FREE, open market, than in a group of self serving Bureaucrats any day.

          • Hello?

Hey, Denniso, Have you noticed that you are almost the only person in all these comments that have a far liberal view? I guess that you are like all the left wingers, a self appointed genius and every one else are idiots. I am glad that you have such a high self esteem. Every inflated air bag will finally be punctured and let out all the hot air. Watch the next elections and all these dummies will vote for freedom. Did you watch the election in Mass.?

It’s a slow day in a little East Texas town.

The sun is beating down, and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit. On this particular day a rich tourist from back east is driving through town. He stops at the motel and lays a $100 bill on the desk saying he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the night. As soon as the man walks upstairs, the owner grabs the bill and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher. The butcher takes the $100 and runs down the street to retire his debt to the pig farmer. The pig farmer takes the $100 and heads off to pay his bill at the supplier of feed and fuel. The guy at the Farmer’s Co-op takes the $100 and runs to pay his debt to the local prostitute, who has also been facing hard times and has had to
offer her “services” on credit. The hooker rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill with the hotel owner. The hotel proprietor then places the $100 back on the cou nter so the rich traveler will not suspect anything. At that moment the traveler comes down the stairs, picks up the $100 bill, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money, and leaves town. No one produced anything. No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now out of debt and now looks to the future with a lot more optimism. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is conducting business today.

The Analogy given is so right. Maybe if we would go to the program that was used years ago in Israel of every so many years forgetting ALL Debts and starting with a clean slate of no debts to anyone we would not need the bogus government programs. Of course we would have to get all of the rest of the world to cooperate. LOL This will never happen but maybe if we started small and built it up we could get the USA out of the budget mess it is in and eliminate the IRS in the process too.

You guys really should study economics so you have some idea of how the system works and quit looking foolish w/ these simplistic and wrong statements. If the ‘system’, as has been in place for the last 60yrs, worked like you want to portray it then how did we become the largest ever economy w/ the largest ever middle class and the most powerful military in the history of the world?? Any clue?? Maybe because you’re utterly wrong??

        • jim

Denniso, If you had a sense of humor yuo would have gotten the joke.

        • blackhat

If you have inside info then spill it out…All you have ever advocated is taxing rich people…

          • denniso

We all pay taxes..the poorest of the poor even pay…sales tax on everything they buy, property tax if they can afford a shack to live in…So, unless you want to get rid of all taxes,to build roads, fund the military, build water/sewage treatment plants,VA benefits and more, than people have to pay taxes. It only makes sense that we have a progressive tax system that shares the tax burden fairly. Shouldn’t a billionaire pay more in total than a teacher making $40,000/yr?? If the poor and middle class are tapped out and we need,at any point in time,to raise $$ for something important then shouldn’t the super rich who have benefited most from the opportunities our country affords,be willing to pay more or in the current time have the Bush tax cuts recinded?
If someone makes 10 million/yr and they have to pay 3 or 4 million in tax and have 6 or 7 million left,is that much of a tax burden? If a working class person makes 50,000/yr and pays 20,000 in tax and has 30,000 left to live on,that’s a hell of a larger burden…NO??? Who then is paying a higher % of their disposable income, the amount of money remaining after paying for the necessities just to stay alive.

        • Marcus

Denniso- Say it isn’t so? You’re still spewing forth your “progressive” (communist) rhetoric? Your lack of wisdom is assounding, I don’t think It is possible to be any more under water than you are. Don’t you get it YET? Your right about Bush, but what you don’t get is that Obama, and Clinton, and Bush Senior ARE ALL THE SAME!!!! It just so happens that Obama is probably the most aggrogant about what he is trying to do that’s all. How blantant, in your face, bold liar Obama is? I challange you to this question: Every time Obama does his song and dance, doesn’t talk to the media in an open forum, (now 7 months), forces policy nobody wants, etc, etc, etc…Ask yourself this question WITH AN HONEST ANSWER!!!!! “What if George Bush did that? ………….

I dare you to be honest (for once) and think back to when the other progressive was in the white house and answer that question. That’s all. If your HONEST WITH YOURSELF you will get it finally. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME, THEY JUST COME IN DIFFERENT COLORS!!!!!!!!… wake up.

          • denniso

Like most countries, our presidents mostly come from the aristocratic class. But, Clinton came from a poor, broken home life and pulled himself up…Obama, the same, except he’s fought even bigger odds being 1/2 black. Neither was born into money, like the 2 Bush’s were. Still, once you become a governor or prez in our country, you do join the ranks of the elite,if you weren’t there already.
The fact that our presidents are usually rich and upper class doesn’t mean they’re the same politically, they’re not. Is Ted Turner the same as Rupert Murdoch??

        • jim

Hi Denniso, That is an intresting concept, is one born into elitism or does one evolve into it? Maybe congress can earmark a few trillion dollars to have a study on it.

How about, let’s see, micro-chips also known as the “mark of the beast”…”He causeth rich and poor, free and slave to receive a mark in their right hand or forehead that whoever shall receive the mark will be able to buy and sell. Here is wisdom, let he who hath understanding count the number of the man and the name of the man, his number is six threescore and six, 666. (that was off the top of my head).
To bad most people are so caught up with the world and what it has to offer and not what God and heaven has to offer…such a shame. I could write for about 7 days straight on all the evidence that I have read over the last 15-20 years… is gonna get weird soon..

I’m afraid you’ve listened to too many wackos…

        • Marcus

          Denniso,
Why do you believe what these politicians say to you??? All they do is lie??? You obviously don’t believe in God, because if you did, it would force you to listen to your “conscience” which would convict you of what is right and wrong…The Bible says: “I will put a veil over their eyes.” It also says, “In the end there will be a ‘Great Apostacy’, or falling away, where right is wrong and wrong is right”. He will separate the wheat from the chafe and if you continue do deny that God exists, and that there is a RIGHT AND WRONG, and that there is such thing as JUSTICE. Why are you so angry?

      • http://www.personalliberty.com Marie Stroud

Boy,is it wonderful to find an informed human, thanks Marcus.
Those who call others liars should be able prove it. Of course some might be working for the other side. Those who do not know our Creator, have only the world and Satan to look to for anything and everything. Bible on Doctors: II Cronicles 16:12,13 & Jeremiah 17:05.
America?: Jeremiah 51:13,14 Many are destroyed because…Hosea 4:06

Roots of our presidents: Genealogical relationships of Presidents of the United States … Want to know why the weather is so cold? The word FREEZE. What we force on another nation will fall on us.

        • Marcus

          Marie,
How about this one: In Matthew 24 it says: “In the end, I will speed up time for the sake of the elect”. I believe God is actually speeding up time, no doubt. EVERYONE knows time is going faster. But it isn’t a feeling, it is a reality.
          Mind-boggling.
Yea, it is frutstrating that all these folks listen to these politicians and believe what they say and then can’t read the Bible and believe it!!! Wow. My Uncle told me when I was young, “It is better to have wisdom than smarts, but being smart is good too”. He is a great guy. Wisdom, it is so lacking in this “I deserve it” society now, and we are seeing the results of our apathy, greed, lack of work ethic, and just plain denial of common sense. Oh well, It just means God is coming soon, might as well just get it over with. Look forward to meeting you in heaven.

          • kodster5

You’re right, on the fact that time is speeding up and it’s a reality. They just had to adjust the atomic clock recently, because it was behind, by just a minute or so.

  • STY

    Denniso,
I’m affraid you’re wasting your words on these folks. Too bad they can’t stop and look at reality. It all goes back to a deep seeded hatred that no amount of logic will change them.
President Obama is the best man for the job at this time….there is always going to be backlash when a barrier is torn down. It’s always been that way. Thankfully he is a bigger person than most and can keep his focus on the people and the country.
We must remember that a majority elected him and I believe the majority is still behind him. Those that are against him may be loud but they are showing their true intent….to do whatever they can to bring Obama down. The obstructors in congress and senate are showing those that elected them that they are uninterested in doing the job they were hired to do.
They will fall by their own weight.

    • jim

STY, You talk about reality. REALITY is just an illusion brought on by a KOOL-AID deficiency. If you and Denniso ever want to visit reality world I would be glad to show you around.

This is so true. Look back in history. Evidence; it is written. Any evil thing done in the dark will come to the light.

As a retired military man that have given over twenty-seven years of my life to my country, I truly feel that what this
Country needs most is a new amendment to the Constitution . I am recommending that we add the 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED STATES.

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that Congress members could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn’t pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered…in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.

This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come,

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Congressman, Senators and Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Congressman. Senators and Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States”.

Well said. Personally it is not the evil minority I am concerned about. They are predictable–they simply do what they cannot help but do: act to invalidate, nullify and dominate the majority and otherwise spread blight to all they touch.

Rather it is the social majority I am concerned about–many of whom have their work cut out for them in their unwillingness to confront evil (well demonstrated by at least one commenter above I happened to read). After all evil is the hardest thing in life to confront, and at once the Evil 1%’s only real trump card over them (more like %2.5 in my philosophy–and to an extent the 17.5% they directly infect).

As bad as it may look there is much hope yet. The crises that is all but upon us may yet be reverted if enough of us quickly rise above the indoor sport and red herring of the fruitless DemGOP Game of circular false choices.

For a quick, free, thrilling basic education on what you need to know to recognize our true enemy–for they are there right before us, plain as day: the wizard behind the curtain if you will–I recommend availing yourself of the Lew Rockwell Show. Listen directly at http://www.lewrockwell.com/lewrockwell-show/, or download all 143 recent podcasts for free from ITunes University (I put them all on my ITunes Shuffle). These shows are positive gems of genius–concise, razor sharp, bite size interviews with the brightest freedom-minded individuals in the land, covering seemingly every subject you truly need to know in order to prepare and protect yourself from what may well come, and above all to recover our liberty and stave off the impending economic collapse and police state.

Absurd article! The 1% that controls everything (including the government) are the crooks that control more of america’s wealth

    http://sociology.ucsc.edu/whorulesamerica/power/wealth.html

As Nobel Prize in Economics winner Douglass North said long ago, the rules are made with those with POWER to make those rules. Without the $$$ to run a political campaign no politician can access political office. Once in there, he has to serve the masters that have financed his rise to power….

This is the typical strategy of the right wing fascism-stalinism; scream against government to deviate people away from the reality that the country is no longer a democracy but a plutocracy run by the wealthy that has made it out of sucking blood out of everybody else

Don’t like government? Hey writer go to Somalia; there’s no government there so you should be happy

  • Bob Marshall

Bob Livingston gave as good an explaination as i have ever heard. Hilter said his most powerful weapon was propaganda. The Whitehouse has thru the CIA controlled news media the best propoganda machine since Hilter. More civilians have died due to the Whitehouse propogana in past wars than in Germany and Poland. You can start with WWI and come forward. The US has dropped bombs in fifty countries over the years.Something wrong here! If we believe these lies and don’t speak out then the deaths they cause in this unjust wars are on our hands. Congress has no courage to do what is right so we have to research and find out facts. To me a patroit only backs hi or her government if he or she is positive they are right. Youtube is a great tube. Uswe it while you can because i am sure the government willsupress all facts relating to their past and present activites in the near future. Events like The USS Liberty, El Motoze Massacre, Iranian Flight 655. Operation Northwoods, Operation Mongoose,The truth about the Cuban Crisis.Vietnam, Iraq and kuwait. As citizens we need to become more ecudated as to the workings of our government Who is really in control? If you don’t know then ask who is the TC,BB,CFR,Illuminati and the former PNAC and what are their goals? Our freedom is diminishing at a rapid pace. What do you really know about HLS and FEMA. What about Obamacare and the addition slipped in that will greatly affect us all. believe it, there is no way Congress would have approved it had they known. The Patroit Act is damaging enough. Now a National ID card. That has been passed and signed. Many in congress would sell their soul and many have. The average citizten has no idea what has occured because of the new power given to FEMA.

    BOTH GENTLEMEN ARE RIGHT
    Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
‘I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to
our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property – until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.’
Can you believe the wisdom and foresight?
It’s almost spooky. It’s like he had a pipeline to the future.
If Thomas Jefferson could see it over 200 years ago – why can’t you when it’s laid out before you?
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH – IT’S TIME FOR ACTION
One of our founding fathers said” Those not willing to fight for liberty, don’t deserve it.”
    Wake Up, America — Now
    By Vertner Vergon
yes, wake up. you’ve been asleep at the wheel.
It’s really not your fault, though. You have been propagandized and brain washed since you were a small child. Well. You are about to be given a big dose of the truth – as things REALLY are. So heed it. This is your debriefing.
I watched Ted Kennedy’s speech of nearly 30 years ago on C-Span. Earlier, on one of their programs I saw other political speeches of the same era. Guess what, THE SPEECHES WERE THE SAME AS OBAMA’S DURING HIS CAMPAIGN! ‘We have to control inflation – we need job security – we need health reform. There should be National health care the same as Congressmen have – we must protect our senior citizens – we should tax the big corporations – we need better education – we need a better economy – the middle class income, and the middle class has shrunk. This must come to a stop and the middle class should grow – the “American Dream” can be realized.’ etc., etc.
So what are the facts? THE CONDITIONS TODAY ARE THE SAME AS THEY WERE OVER A QUARTER CENTURY AGO. No, in fact they are worse. We have the worst recession since the great depression of the 30’s.
    (a) Did you ever ask yourself, why? (b) Were you even aware of all this?
Each of the problems mentioned above is a big issue in itself. And the public tends to think of it in that way. However, the fact is THERE IS ONE UNDERLYING FACTOR THAT IS THE CAUSE OF EACH AND EVERY ONE!. Yes, all those problems have one underlying cause. And that is the keynote of this message. The cause of all our troubles is BIG CORPORATIONS. Become aware of CORPORATE POWER.
For example, in 1940 Congress passed a bill EXEMPTING THE MEDICAL INDUSTRY FROM ANTITRUST LAW – giving them the ability to PRICE FIX!!!
Congress blames the insurance companies for the SOARING COST OF MEDICAL TREATMENT – when they know damn well it is the industry itself that has skyrocketed
Costs – because CONGRESS GAVE THEM PERMISSION TO FIX PRICES.
What other anti-antitrust laws have been passed?
Economics 101: (Let’s keep it simple) What keeps prices down? Competition.
